SO SIMON CAN SING
So some of us were trying to determine if Simon can sing. He never does throughout the whole series except when he tells us that he Sings the school song in CO.
We know that Baz can sing Simon tells us that he can and his siblings like when he Sings them to sleep. In WS Simon says Penny is flat and that in Co and AWTWB Agatha can sing but is embarrassed by her voice.
If Simon was bad at singing he would tell us. But he never says one way or another.
So I asked God herself
So we have the answer. What's interesting to me is that there is some evidence in the text that supports this inspite of the fact that Rainbow Rowell admitted she hadn't thought if it before being asked there are clues in the books that support her answer, shes not giving herself enough credit lol.
In CO he says this
And In WS Simon says this as he watches Baz and Penny sing.
He laments that choir was taken away. There's a wistfulness in this sentence.
Thank You @rainbowrowell so much for answering!!!!!!! You've made us all so happy!!!!!!!!

I'm sure this has been talked about plenty but I'm still awestruck at how well Frieren handles Himmel and Frieren's relationship. I have never seen the 'character haunts the narrative' story beat done to such effectiveness.
Frieren's regret is that she didn't know Himmel before he was gone- but he exists in everything Frieren does without her fully realizing it. Frieren is a fundamentally different person and we *know* it is mostly thanks to Himmel's influence. The constant flashbacks, the way in which Frieren's logic and everyday routines have been altered by his memory. She collect spells because he and the others complimented the mundane, random spells she had found. The way that instead of her master, Himmel is the person who the monsters choose to immitate.
The flashbacks too, are so so potent in characterizing who Himmel was- not only in regards to Frieren, but in regards to Himmel as the hero. The person who lead his group to kill the demon king. The person who did everything in his power to help those around him. The person who was so clearly in love with Frieren but understood intimately that Frieren would not love him in the same regard and even worse, would be walking a very long and lonely path.
Hell, it's at the start of every chapter, in which time is only kept by the years before and after Himmel's death.
It all comes back to him, in the end

Kind of funny. SPN was supposed to end in s5, with Sam in Hell, Cas in Heaven, and Dean on Earth, living with a wife and a son. But it ends after ten more season later with Cas in superhell, Dean in Heaven, and Sam on Earth, living with a wife and a son. Like some fucked up game of musical chairs. Except the chairs are never taken, the song remains the same, and they’re just going in circles. Anyways, Happy November 19th.

I love the “Bruce is strong enough to pick up post-Lazarus Jason through sheer will and training” trope obviously, but picture:
Jason and Bruce being so heavy/muscular/fucking big, that they’re the only ones who can pick the other up.
Cue Bruce getting called in anytime Jason’s down and they need to move him. Or Jason getting pointed puppy eyes from Alfred until he sighs and picks Bruce up and carries him to bed after he passes out on the couch.

I have a dumb idea
The justice league (Minus Clark and Diana) thinks that Robin is an immortal being that changes form every 5-10ish years because Bruce never told them he had different robins
Robin I and Bruce having issues near the end was just due to the transformation coming near
Robin II only lasting so long and Bruce’s grief after they attribute to something going wrong with the transformation and do think Robin is dead
However when Robin III comes they assume that Bruce’s grumpiness is attributed to him being over protective after the disaster of the last transformation
The Steph comes and goes back to Tim and they’re all thrown but like maybe this version of Robin is genderfluid and they don’t want to be rude so they don’t say anything
And when Damian comes after 5 years it just solidifies this theory as well as Robin probably being genderfluid cause of Carrie
Yes the bat kids have come to the watchtower as Nightwing, Red Hood, Red Robin, and Spoiler
Bruce is unaware
The batkids know and are keeping up the act as they wait for the perfect moment to descend from the celing, all wearing the robin uniform and traumatizing the Justice League

obsessed with the contrast between how openly and blatantly law carries the impact corazon had on him vs how reserved and secretive he is about his family and flevance. like he tattoos his whole body and designs his Jolly Roger and names his crew in honor of corazon, but the only marks of his home he carries with him are his skill as a surgeon and the hat he’s had since he was a kid. he even keeps two of his names a secret!! idk there’s just something about this sort of external focus law puts on the grief that he can actually act on and assign specific blame to, vs. the much more internal nature of the grief that he can do nothing but carry with him alone. but then again, by a certain measure the mere fact of his continued existence is one of the most obvious declarations of his grief over his family and his country that he could possibly make, so who knows!

Penelope’s window
Obviously the Featherington’s drawing room window looking out across the square to the Bridgerton’s house is a hugely significant part of this season (which is so fantastic because it’s been planted for two season straight now that’s she’s constantly sitting there - I love it!) but what about Pen’s bedroom window?
On first watch I automatically assumed during the scenes where she’s sat at her bedroom window all day after her and Colin’s lessons are revealed to the ton that she was, as usual, looking out at the Bridgerton’s house. Especially because we immediately cut from this image to Colin looking out of HIS drawing room window towards the Featherington’s house. But then on second watch it struck me that her bedroom doesn’t look out over the square, its on the opposite side of the house, overlooking the gardens.
The best evidence I have for this is 2x08 where its looks as though Pen is watching the fireworks in her bedroom.
And during the scene in 3x02 from what I can see it’s mostly trees out there which doesn’t match up to the square at all so it’s got to be the back of the house.
So when she withdraws from society and hides in her room, it’s not the Bridgerton’s house she’s staring out at all day - it’s the garden. It’s the place where they made this disastrous plan, and the place where she heard Colin say he’d never court her.
Later that night when Colin meets her in the garden (God the symmetry is so GOOD) she describes herself as ‘a sad, stupid girl who believed she might possibly have a chance of love’ and I can’t help but be reminded of how crushed she was at the end of last season when she believed that things might finally be happening with Colin only to hear him completely reject the idea of ever courting her.
I’d be willing to bet that she spent a good portion of that day in 3x02 staring out at the garden thinking about that night and punishing herself for having let herself hope, for having ‘brought this on herself’ again.
For Penelope, the drawing room window represents the hope that she might someday be with Colin. When she says to Debling in 3x04 she’s ‘grown tired’ of the view I think she means she’s grown tired of hoping for something that will never happen.
Whereas her bedroom window, I think, has come to represent the destruction of that hope (at least at this stage in her story). The only times we see her looking out of it are 2x08, and here in 3x02: moments when all hope is lost for her, not just in terms of being with Colin, but of finding love at all. Portia makes it pretty clear in this scene that the idea of Pen making a match is unrealistic, one could say, laughable.
And then where does Colin bribe Rae to bring Pen so they can have a moment alone? Not the front of the house or that little side entrance we see her meet Eloise at in season one (which would probably be more discreet to be honest), but the garden.
Whistledown’s narration is significant here too, she says: ‘a small taste of the light can lead to that most dangerous of emotions. Hope. And once hope is lost, a lady may become reckless.’ They are literally standing in the place where hope was lost, the place where he broke her heart last season, and the whole script is about to get flipped. She thinks this is the end of everything, when really it’s the beginning.
She’s been staring at the garden all day thinking about everything it represents; how she is nearly on the shelf and may die without ever having been kissed, how Colin Bridgerton would never dream of courting her. But it isn't true. Instead, true love is waiting for her down there. Hope is waiting for her down there. She is not going to die tomorrow. She is not going to die without ever having been kissed. Colin Bridgerton WOULD dream of courting her (and is about to in the next episode! In the bloody garden!!!)
This turned into a dissertation but all this to say that this is why Colin Bridgerton needs to climb through that bedroom window in part two and thoroughly make it up to her, thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.

So we know that the Pitchs are all about fire. They have an affinity with it and it comes naturally to them.
I wonder if the Salisburys or whoever Ruth's family was had an affinity with Nature and plants? See cause Ruth and Lucy are able to create flowers and food easily. Lucy spells flowers in her hair for fun and Ruth tried to show Baz how to.summon roses but he couldn't. Baz even says creating flowers is really tough. I imagine that this is something that Ruth's family excels at (also very druidic)
Simon's Magic smelled like a burning forest but thats cause whatever Davy did to him was corrupting his natural magic. I wonder if his magic were to come back would it smell like a fresh growing forest? Would he also have an affinity for flowers and plants like his mother and grandmother?

thinking abt how red & green's designs and outfits complement/contrast
hat rounds off top of head; hair (dark) points down
consistent colour scheme of primarily red + white with bits of black
bottoms stay consistently blue
gold accents (yellow bags, badge on gen i hat)
style leans more towards adventure or athletic wear
did not receive a new outfit in HGSS (despite meaning short sleeves on a mountain)
hair points up, light in colour (sorta looks bleached)
colours and style vary, but black is in all outfits
since gen iii, tops stay consistently black with colourful bottoms
silver accents (bags, necklaces, buttons, belt buckle)
style leans more towards fashion over practicality (like when he's shown with a bag at all it's pretty small)
did receive a new outfit (with jacket) in HGSS

big fan of stories that are like fate is just the propaganda that allows the powerful to maintain control of the oppressed but also fate is just your childhood trauma driving you to recreate the same dysfunctional cycles over and over again but also fate is not an illusion fate is a real force that you live with every day and there are real consequences for defying it but also fate is just your father trying to tell you he knows you better than you know yourself. and he's wrong

Jensen saying Dean’s biggest regret is that he couldn’t save Cas is already insane, right? But it makes sense, it makes sense to us because we believe that Cas wasn’t saved. We believe that Cas wasn’t saved. We believe that Cas wasn’t saved.
But Bobby said he already was, so why is it still Dean’s biggest regret?
