This is my second question/ message here, the first one was massive so apologies for that lol but I hope you get to reply to it someday!

I wanted to show this to you because this page obviously wouldn't be possible without you. As I mentioned I've grown very close of your art in the past month and I couldn't help but dedicate a page to my favorite pieces.

I redrew them on my sketchbook in your style the closest I could (I hope you don't mind). I mentioned in my first ask that I really loved the Amazing Spider-Man redraw with Miles and Gwen so I kinda made it into my own fairytale from your drawing. (I hope you don't mind and btw I never posted this anywhere because I didn't want to upset you in any way because you could've feel like this was just a copy of your drawings)

The drawing with Tarboy was supposed to be Miles as the Starboy album cover but I made it too close to the edge of my Skechbook and I didn't want to alter the shape and size of the letters so It stays like that lol (I think its funny tho btw).

Oh and the "Nah Imma kill myself" was just a meme I saw on Tumblr of Miles famous quote "Nah Imma do my own thing" that I drew in a boring class because I needed a distraction and that came up to my mind.

(btw the Tarboy and Nah Imma kill myself were the first drawings of that page if I didn't finish them already by the time I started sketching yours I would definitely make a whole page with your drawings only)

Just have to finish up checking up the next section as it was done before but was one of the fics claimed by one of my cringy “want to delete my existence” moods 💀🤡 that’s where my ao3 and masterlist went too so whoops lol did save my stuff from getting posted under someone else’s name once so sometimes that cringe instinct works out for the better 👌🏻 still trying to kick the habit tho 💀 but yeah just gotta clean it over and get it back up again! X Marine reader headcanons almost done in their first part! Doing the first installment as general headcanons/vibe and the backstory for them, the second being a detailed how they met, and the third being a big event for the relationship like a confession or one saving the other or coming to terms with the relationship being doomed etc etc. it kinda spiraled out of control on ideas as I have a tendency to do sorry 😅

Besides a Law fic, those are the priorities right now tho there’s also kinktober to discuss. I’ve always always wanted to do kinktober but I’m still not good enough. I’ve been trying to do some prep for it and think I may be able to get many headcanons out for the month on it but again I’m not at a quality or in life circumstances where I can make it happen with actual fic this year.

And with life circumstances, yeah there’s business with jobs and obligations and taking care of people and trying to take care of myself, but my great struggle for the past stretch of weeks and onwards is the death of my mentor, friend, and father figure who was my piano teacher. He was older but it was very sudden and we’ve all been scrambling to contend with the loss of him and try to keep all the programs he was running afloat and keep his memory and influence alive. His reach in the music community and the genuine depth with which he connected to others is now a huge wound for many of us. He was a person of exceptional quality and heart. There’s a memorial concert for him mid October that I’m one of the performers in and I’m glad it’s forcing me to practice because piano has been really hurting. Everything has been. I was already struggling to keep on top of things and in the face of this I really am floundering pretty bad, despite trying to take care of it myself cuz I know I was already asking much of others having to listen to me sometimes and most people go mute in the face of death and I don’t want that to be my experience with others right now.

So to share something more positive in this experience, here is a snippet of the piece I’m polishing back up for the memorial concert.

You’ll hear me mention briefly in the middle a “church bells section”. I was talking with @gingernut1314 about this piece while showing her some other stuff and so I gave context about why I chose it for his memorial. For ease imma just pop in a copy of that lol

{This is from the piece that I’m polishing back up for Ian’s memorial concert! It’s the second movement of Debussy’s Images for Piano. I finished learning all three with Ian. The first is likely my favorite, the third is a MONSTER (but that atm just kinda makes me want to get that back up again too to Conquer it lol), but the second one has the right mood for a memorial and is the one I spent the most time working on with him for expression (took forever to get it right and some of it was still only like just almost there when my recital came around 🤡) and it was the one I think he was happiest with how I played in the end. The final bit of the movement is just breathtaking and peaceful tho it does end sad. Ian talked about his time studying in Europe and visiting France and church bells echo on the mountainside there and that that’s the type of imagery to evoke there. He was a devout man himself and I thought that that being the end to something I play for his memory would make him happy.}

It is a fic where reader helps Law finally open up all the festering feelings and thoughts he wouldn’t let himself express around Cora’s death. I’ll give a more proper shout out there, but thank you to the people who have shown me kindness and understanding and friendship in the past couple months. You all know who you are (hopefully haha) - I try to impress these things directly to you as well but it felt right to say it here as well. Interacting with you all has impacted me positivity and you all make the world a more welcoming and loving place 🤍🤍🤍

This is my blog so Imma get on my soap box for one more thing about the whole "spam likers should be blocked" rhetoric.

People seem to have taken the idea from places like Instagram that spam liking gets you shadow banned because the algorithm thinks they're bots and—let me be clear when I say this:

THAT IS NOT HOW IT WORKS ON TUMBLR

Bots do not like your fanfic and fanart posts and tumblr does not ban you for getting multiple likes in a row!!!

Likes are literally part of the algorithm because tumblr has changed from the way it was back in the 2010s. Reblogs are absolutely one of the most helpful and valid ways to see posts on here—and people should definitely be encouraged to reblog and share with others, but reblogs are not the end-all-be-all of pushing content on here anymore.

The posts that the algorithm shows you takes into account the posts you yourself have liked and what those you follow/interact with have liked. You know these little feature here in preferences?

THEY ARE ALL BASED ON LIKES AND FAVORITE TAGS

Its why you see posts like this if you turn on the option.

Likes have become almost as equal in the algorithm as reblogs. Nowadays, a lot of people on tumblr's userbase only views the site via the mobile app instead of a laptop/desktop. It means that they're more likely to hit the like button on a post and scroll on so they can go back and find it later than they are likely to stopping every second to reblog each post.

That's just how things are now 🤷🏾‍♀️(and yeah that sucks lol)

If you don't believe me, the next time you see a post that has a lot of notes suggested to you in a search, tag or on the For You page—or anywhere on here, check the reblogs vs likes. Sometimes they're relatively equal

But I have noticed that a lot of the posts suggested to me also have way more likes than reblogs.

Again, I am NOT dissing people asking for reblogs because people really should be trying to reblog things from your favorite artists/writers/fandoms, but sometimes people will look at a post with a lot of notes and are more likely to reblog it. If you're looking for engagement then likes count towards that.

Social media has trained us to look at posts with a lot of traction (notes in this case), and make us more likely to share it. When you discourage and block people engaging with your posts via likes, you're just making the algorithm less likely to push your posts in the first place unless someone reblogs it.

And hey, if that's your jam, go on ahead, but even posts with ZERO notes that haven't been liked by people I follow get pushed to me if the algorithm thinks I'm going to enjoy it based on what I post and have liked before.

I could also get into the fact that with the way tumblr is set up, you could be blocking people that have to like posts and follow you from their main blog and reblog via a different side blog.

You could be blocking people that are too shy to openly engage with certain content right off the bat.

You could be blocking newcomers into your fandom.

You could be blocking people that see your content promoted to them in passing and might decide to come back and follow you later.

If you don't care about likes and only care about exposure via reblogs, then uh...ok. But my point is: please stop spreading the idea that likes mean nothing on tumblr 🙃

Currently I am very proud of the "what gem am I?" from Meteor Shower. I feel like it was simple but chilling.

I also like the last line of From Chin To Yon Rah "That day he learns that she done all that she was meant to do. That day she has found her peace."

I think that, that was the strongest ending that I've had for a fic.

For Azula: She would very much be a black metal fan in a modern AU. It is a very stark contrast to her personality and it terrifies Ozai. But she adores black metal.

For Icy: she has a very strong accent from her home planet to a point where sometimes people can't understand her. Sometimes after saying 'what' like 10 times Darcy and Stormy will just nod 'yes' and that's how some of their worst plans unfolded.

Kay so I have my laptop and and my notebooks scattered haphazardly around me to refer back to (when I'm writing my original story). When I'm fic writing I have my 'fic ideas' document open and then duckduckgo in another in case I need to ask things like "how to harvest honey" and "stages of alcohol withdrawal" and "what sound does being stabbed make" and "types of dress shapes". You know, the usual. And then I have a tab for music.

Hi I have been saving this ask because I wanted to think about it and make a good response! Thank you! Oh my god this is one of my favorite things to talk about in mp100. You have awoken The Beast. First imma talk about some background shit to lead where I'm going. Hold on just trust me. I'm talking plural shigeo in general. Trust me. We will get there.

I feel like ..okay. I feel like honestly at first Shigeo didn't realize they were plural either. I'm sprinkling my own experiences in here, I feel like for them switching isn't really cut and dry. The body being Mob feels about the same as being Shigeo, they just have different opinions and personalities. I don't know how to explain what I mean to a non system. Shigeo and Mob both thinking of each other as The Fake One really reminds me of my own experience with plurality. I feel like for a while Mob felt like his personality was always changing and he didn't have any hobbies and he had no self at all meanwhile it was like. Buddy there are people in your brain. Y'know. He had that. He didn't realize those were other people. The autism and plural combination is wild because BOTH will contribute to that. But I'm getting off topic whoops. What I'm trying to communicate is for a while Shigeo didn't realize they were plural either. He'd get mad at things "he" would do, not knowing why he'd agreed to go to a job with Reigen despite not wanting to (Mob had wanted to, Mob wasn't around right now), he for a while didn't realize he Wasn't Mob. So I feel like that's something that should be considered yk, he's...for a while he kidna lived his life as like.why the fuck did I act like that. That's not who I am. Why did I agree to that. And realizing he WAS plural made him feel worse because Mob just! Shut him out completely and he couldn't do anything so like. He's very used to just aggressively snapping at anyone who Exists. So like. All of this is important to keep in mind y'know. Okay I'm getting to post canon now. Sorry. I have thoughts.

Shigeo is trust issues central. He doesn't think any of this will end well, he is CONVINCED everyone hates him. He's still pissed at Mob for ignoring him, and at Reigen for lying, and at Teru for almost killing him, and now he has to try and change his entire world view. He's existed as just...the protector for so long. He doesn't know how to respond to threats or stress in ways that don't involve attacking them, be it physically or verbally. He is used to stress coming from danger, so if he's stressed he instinctually responds like there's danger. I feel like for a while he's an asshole tbh, not because he's Bad but because he is a traumatized child who's trying to defend himself and feels like he's one wrong move away from everyone hating him and trying to keep him trapped again and he reacts accordingly. He's uh. Not behaving very healthily for a while, but he's gonna get there.

I think Shigeo doesn't really know who he is outside of his differences from Mob. Like that's how he identified himself. When asked about his identity in the manga (or at least in the translation I read that could've been dead wrong lol sorry) he says "I'm Ritsus older brother." Like. He has no real sense of who he is outside thinking he's more real and authentic than Mob and his relationship with Ritsu. He's never really gotten any hobbies or wants or goals. What even was his plan for after he asked out Tsumobi? Just...stay like that?? What was he gonna do? I maintain he was having a breakdown and not thinking rationally at all. He had no goddamn plan. I'm sorry I'm getting sidetracked. Point is man has no sense of identity. He's kind of working with nothing. He has no idea who he is and everything feels like there's Nothing here for him. No wonder he was so hopeless like Jesus Christ.

Re Shigeo's hobbies. I think he'd like to cook. That is all.

I feel like. Reigen needs to work on his lying for Shigeo, because Shigeo is so distrustful and scared all the time and feeling like he's being deceived in any way sends him into a panic. He has so much baggage around being lied to. I feel like his constant stress level only starts to go down once Reigen works on his lying and the other people in his life work on being honest with him too. Shigeo can be an asshole but so much of it comes from knee jerk fear response you know. It's not for no reason he is constantly fucking terrified. Also Shigeo needs to be able to spend time with Reigen outside of a job to be able to trust him. Y'know. It'll take a bit.

I think Shigeo and Dimple get along great. Shigeo was willing to listen to Reigen because of Dimple specifically. Also like. Dimple calls Shigeo on his shit when he's about to rampage without going "you monster", it's "you need to calm down before you make a bad decision" and that helps him so much more. Dimple can calm Shigeo down very well I think. Also Shigeo lets him possess him and he's the I Don't Trust Anyone guy. If that's not trust I don't know what is. I feel like he gravitates towards spending time with Dimple at first? He's familiar and he's seen him go batshit without running away so like. He's probably fine. That logic will take ages for him to apply to the others but. It's a start! But then again I do feel like the divine tree arc lead to that breakdown a lot so. Hmm. Thinking. "I'm still mad at you, Dimple." While he looks at him with exhausted eyes. He's the only person Shigeo actually trusted enough to LISTEN to Reigen for. Like holy shit. I think it's because Dimple was Honest about his shitty intentions. He could acknowledge he wanted to use him and that he was a shitty person. He lets him around him because Dimple will actually be honest about his shitty intentions , so it's safer in his eyes. So if Dimple says he's worried, he means he's worried. Shigeo and Ritsu have a lot to work on. Shigeo has so much trauma feeling like he's Inherently Bad but Ritsu has trauma too. They gotta learn to talk out their problems better and it takes time. I feel like Shigeo,, hmm. I feel like the most likely option is Shigeo blurting the fact he's a system out but also I feel like it'd mean more if he CHOSE to tell him that after a while of healing. I don't know how he'd go about saying it. He might just go "Oh, you're not talking to him (Mob) right now. Sorry." And Ritsus fucking Baffled before he makes a Very clumsy explanation. Interesting conversation! I think like. Shigeo's massive care for Ritsu to the point he considers how much he cares about him a core part of his identity mixed with his fear that Ritsu doesn't love him is uh. Something they need to talk about.

I feel like. Shigeo has some complicated feelings on his family in general. And I feel like Shigeo feels like he was robbed of the chance to be close to his family by Mob, but he doesn't actually know how to get close to them now. He just feels like a stranger in his own house, like he's completely unwanted. He just ... Doesn't know how to go back to existing without acting like Mob. He doesn't know how to bond with his family. It's messy , man. He was in Brain Jail for four years. He has to relearn how to be around his family. Me and a friend talked about him cooking with his mom to bond. In my heart the Kageyama parents become more involved in their kids lives after confession because God they need to talk to them. I don't know how or if Shigeo will tell them he's a system. It might be similar to Ritsu just kind of nervously sliding the information actually you got the wrong guy haha over the table. He has no idea how to communicate. He's getting there.

Also I will say this very quickly. Takenaka and Shigeo besties agenda. They would love quipping off of each other I think. They would get on so damn well. They're besties. Listen to me. I dunno how they'd meet but they'd be so cool.

Since you didn't specify any continuity, I'll just talk about him in my headcanon AU that is mostly based on IDW with some Prime thrown in. TLDR; - Scientific curiosity is equal to physical arousal - Outliers and other special frames are hot (Blurr, Megs, ...) - Partner is a bit like a science project, being analyzed and watched - Senator Past: Many flings, especially with commoners bc they felt like "forbidden fruit", likes being admired - Post-Institute: Not very active, still feels arousal but mostly ignores it for the sake of efficiency Curious about other characters? My ask box is open!

Longer version:

I think for Shockwave (any Shockwave, really, except for maybe Shockblast) scientific curiosity is kinda equal to actual arousal in terms of satisfaction. They go hand in hand. He'd be someone to overload with his mind instead/alongside of his body (if that makes any sense xD), he has a rather unique way of excitement.

I think one way this happens is that Shockwave would bring science "play" to the next level. Medical play, very similar, but he'd love to disassemble his partners, get to know them from the inside out. He'd probably never allow his partner to do the same to him though, he's been fully disassembled multiple times in IDW and I don't think it's very pleasant to him xD His partners are in a certain way test subjects, even if he's not taking them apart. His eye would watch and analyze every reaction.

He'd also be into Outliers. Big time. Why do you think he had his academy? They're one of the big fascinations that he kept from his Senator days. Whenever he sees Skywarp teleport or notice Soundwave read minds, his spark would skip a beat. He'd be keeping his eye on them for sure, heh. In general, I think he'd have a thing for "special frames", like Blurr with his super-speed or Megatron's warframe. Remember how in the Exodus novel he imagined an army of "Megatron-inspired supermechs"? (I swear I'm not making this up, that's the actual phrase the author used) Yeah, something like that.

I think as a Senator he might've had a thing for affairs with commoners too, with maybe a little bit of exhibitionism thrown in. Just the rush of being seen with someone of the lower classes would've given him this sense of tasting a forbidden fruit. Given how he used to be quite vain, he might also just have enjoyed being watched. I can see him as a mech who would prefer to ride his partners to make sure they see how his fresh paint shimmers in the dim light of a berthroom. Watch their faces and how they stare up to him. Oh yeah, Senator Shockwave was a whole different creature. He surely wouldn't have minded some body worship here and there, but only if it truly felt sincere, otherwise it'd be too much.

I don't think he indulges much in physical pleasure after the Epurata/Shadowplay happened, but his body and mind still reply to stimuli, even if he doesn't act on his desires. They get in the way of his science, mostly. He doesn't see them as illogical, but rather as bothersome. (He'd self-service if he couldn't handle the heat, but he has himself very well under control mostly)

anyway I kinda just wanted to rant about luffy and how awesome he is. you really don’t have to pay attention to this post..

moving on..Luffy. I really like his name it rolls off my tongue. I remember when I first started watching I used to call him “luh-fee” instead of “loo-fee” you get it? I think some people still do but now that im used to it, it kinda sounds weird to me, and I like the official way better. Which is ironic seeing as though I like the way I said it at first, better, at first. Lol if that makes sense.

anyhow, I also like his look, how simple yet unique it is? I’ve never seen a mc wear knee shorts and a vest with basically no shirt..good job oda! Love the creativity! The strawhats was the cherry on top. Without it I love him all the same but if that was his official design? it’d be missing something..maybe I’m only saying that because I’m used to it..I probably am.

luffys personality is my absolute favorite thing about him. He his flaw of being too confident at first, I absolutely loved it and would feed into it if I could be there to hype him up LOL. I just have a thing for really sweet guys, I’m sure that’s not hard to understand :) like I love constant positivity and playfulness! To me with his character design it wouldn’t make sense for him to be malicious, but oddly enough would make a good hook for those first starting the show. Again, I’m happy with his overall character design. I especially loved him in the first few arcs. I was so happy while watching the romance dawn arc I had a smile on my face the entire time and was rooting for luffy on everything he did. I remember whenever he encountered someone that the show at first perceived as against him, I was like “booo! Luffy beat em up! Yeah get em!” Buggy (I love the guy now tho 😭💓).
