i don't like it when someone is easy to reach. when someone is open to everyone, when literally anyone can get their attention. it is a question of values and principles not to be open to everyone and not to have the need for everyone's attention. people who are easily available won't value soulful connections.

NGL I have STRONG opinions about digital releases omitting the letters to the editor section of older comics. I feel like the letters are a part of comic history and should be aggressively preserved.

Dom!Ningguang spoiling a needy catgirl reader in heat?
I would meow for her so bad I'm not even joking ehfnengjengj
NSFW AHEAD | Ningguang x catgirl!reader
Ningguang generally keeps a track of your heat cycle and is fully prepared to assist you through it, but it is sometimes unpredictable ofc. One time, it happened early morning when you just woke up. Ningguang felt your arms wrapped around her tighter than usual and your body pressed closely to her back, your tongue continuously lapping her nape and your hot breath caressed her skin.
That's when she felt you rutting your hips into her, small hisses leaving your mouth as you grinded into her ass and begged for her to relieve you. "Ning.... Please.... I'm— ngh~ Aaah.... Ning~" Oh, poor you, she thinks. Of course, she doesn't want you to suffer. But you are also so adorable in this state. She chuckles and turns around to face you and you snuggle into her breasts and continue rutting into her, her knee slots between your legs and you seek your release on it.
"Awh, did my kitten get her heat early this time?~"
"Y-Yes.... ahhh... I don't know how— ngh~"
"It's okay, mommy is here for you, my sweet kitten~"
Her words made you more aroused than you already were. She pulled you along as she laid on her back and you climbed on top of her, straddling her thighs. She then pulled you into an embrace and bounced her leg, hitting you core and making you gasp. You buried yourself in her neck and once again started grinding her leg, your tongue licking up and sucking her collarbone while her hands petted your ears.
"That's it, you are doing so well for mommy. Be a good kitten and cum for me~"
You mewled and grinded faster now, your clit rubbing against her thigh and your wetness seeping onto her skin. You bit her neck and marked her, a common action you did during your heat. Then you bit again and didn't let go until you released, moaning through gritted teeth as your slick coated her thigh. Ningguang shivered feeling your bite and held you tighter as well, knowing well that you are close.
You laid in her embrace for a while but Ningguang knew you needed more, and she was already planning to spoil you rotten the whole day.

Personal growth truly isn’t as complicated as some of you make it seem.
If I could write a letter to my 18 year old self…..
“You don’t need to purchase fancy guides or watch hours and hours of YouTube videos. You don’t need to have 13 degrees in psychology in order to understand yourself.
The main reasons why one fails at “levelling up” are quite simple.
Lack of discipline.
Lack of accountability.
Not being able to manage time.
Not being able to say no to things in order to prioritise yourself.
Doing something you know you shouldn’t be doing, and yet, you do it anyway because FOMO.
How do you prevent the above from happening?
You have to be hard on yourself and listen to your rational instinct. When your intellectual side tells you that its best not to engage in a certain thing or not to be lazy about doing something, listen to that side. People always seem to know better but choose the easier path of not doing anything.
It’s your decision whether you want to look back at life and get upset with yourself for not having the willpower to do yourself justice. Or, you look back at yourself and thank your stars that you had the sense to start early.
Even if you don’t end up getting 100% of what you visualised, at least you’ll respect yourself for sticking to your guns and doing what was best for you and your life.
It’s not about ego. It’s not about hustle culture. It’s about ending this cycle of misery and procrastination and constant justification of your mindlessly stupid actions.
It’s time for you to grow up and put in the goddamn effort, because no one else will. You can’t demand the best of the best when you have nothing to bring to the table.
Stop wasting your time with idiots who don’t share the same values as you. Start reading more again. You’re not going to marry that guy you’re with and you know damn well that you’re going to leave him anyway - so just do it already. Stop the vicious cycle of breaking up and getting back.
I’m glad you enrolled in that university, even if you were a little nervous to leave home. It’s going to change you as a person. Absorb those experiences and realise that the world is not black and white.
There’s much to learn from and you’re wasting your time watching brain-dead influencers on YouTube and instagram. Minimise your social media footprint. Go back to doing the things you loved, even if you feel that the whole world mocks you for it. They don’t. Nobody cares.”

Ladies, 2024 is personal.
Dear Besties and future Besties,
We're starting FRESH this year, I want to encourage each and every one of you to dedicate 2024 to becoming your best self, from the inside out. This is your ✨IT Girl era✨, a time to prioritize self-care, personal growth, and breaking old habits.
Start by investing in your mental and emotional well-being. Consider therapy or counseling to unpack any past traumas, explore your innermost thoughts and feelings, and gain a deeper understanding of yourself. Remember, healing is a journey, and seeking professional help is a sign of strength, not weakness.
Let's focus on our physical well-being. Make time for regular workouts and prioritize your health. Whether it's hitting the gym, practicing yoga, or simply going for a walk, physical activity not only benefits your body but also clears your mind and boosts your confidence.
Breaking old habits is never easy, but this year, let's challenge ourselves to do just that. Identify any negative patterns or addictions that hold you back and take the necessary steps to overcome them. Seek support from loved ones, join our group, or even consider professional help. Remember, you have the power to change your life. ✨💞
In the midst of this transformation, it's crucial to practice being more private and working smarter. In a world that often values constant sharing and busyness, find solace in quiet moments and focus on the tasks that truly matter. Prioritize your goals, streamline your efforts, and eliminate distractions. By doing so, you'll find that you can accomplish more in less time, leaving room for personal growth and self-care. You are not for everyone, be selective with your energy this year babe. 🩷
Financial stability is vital, so let's make it a priority this year. Save your money, create a budget, and invest in your future. By being mindful of your spending habits and making smart financial decisions, you'll be empowering yourself to live a life of financial freedom and security.
Remember, peace is the REAL luxury. Prioritize your mental and emotional well-being above all else. Surround yourself with positivity, cut out toxic relationships, and embrace moments of solitude. By cultivating inner peace, you'll radiate strength and tranquility, attracting positivity and abundance into your life.
Lastly, love on yourself. You are more precious than rubies and daughters of the most high God. Embrace your worth and never settle for less than you deserve. Set boundaries, demand respect, and prioritize your own happiness. By loving and valuing yourself, you'll attract those who do the same.
In the upcoming year, let's remain humble, determined, and refuse to accept anything less than what we truly deserve. 🥂
We will continue to work with you on becoming the best versions of yourself! Please take advantage of all of our guides/ resources (click here) & there’s plenty more ahead, stay tuned!
Xoxo,
The Black Feminine Society 💋

Seanan McGuire out here saying Trans Women Are Women back in 2013 (earlier actually, since the book this is from has posts from her LJ, her website blog, and other places).
This information is not a surprise, as Seanan has been fairly vocal about supporting Trans folks, I just felt it was important to share.

"She lied to a military police officer down by a hospital ship, said she was going to interview nurses about the 'woman’s angle,' and they let her on, because, as she said, no one gave a hoot about the woman’s angle. It served as the perfect forged passport for her," said Somerville. She resorted to those measures because her husband, Ernest Hemingway, tried to take over her journalist career.
This Saturday, June 6, will be the 76th anniversary of D-Day, the battle that would come to represent the beginning of the end of World War II.
There was just one woman, a war correspondent, on the beaches at Normandy that day the allied forces liberated Western Europe from Nazi Germany: the singular Martha Gellhorn. Author Janet Somerville traces Gellhorn’s extraordinary life in her book Yours, For Probably Always: Martha Gellhorn’s Letters of Love and War.
"Since 1937, Martha had been a war correspondent for Collier’s magazine. She knew about the Allied invasion, that there was a plan to cover the Allied invasion of Normandy, and she was determined to cover that," Somerville said.
The problem was, her very famous husband at the time, Ernest Hemingway, pulled the rug out from under her professionally.
"Hemingway had gone to New York, introduced himself to her editor at Collier’s and said ‘I’ll be your war correspondent.’ And he took her accreditation papers. Which was a bit of a problem," said Somerville.
Each publication could send just one correspondent. But Gellhorn was resourceful and clever. She found herself passage on a munitions ship from New York that would get her to Europe. She was the only woman and the only civilian aboard that ship, which landed in Liverpool. Then, she just needed to get to Normandy.
"She lied to a military police officer down by a hospital ship, said she was going to interview nurses about the 'woman’s angle,' and they let her on, because, as she said, no one gave a hoot about the woman’s angle. It served as the perfect forged passport for her," said Somerville.
Once on board the hospital ship, Gellhorn locked herself into a bathroom until they sailed. When the ship docked in Normandy, she waded ashore through waist-deep water with some of the medical officers.
"She became the only woman and the only war correspondent to be actually on the beaches at Normandy, evacuating the wounded."
Though she was there as a journalist to write about the event, she couldn’t help but tend to the wounded soldiers. She had an uncanny ability, Somerville says, to focus on what needed to be done. So when she saw that the wounded were hungry and thirsty, she set to work.
"She just took it in her stride and found somebody who could bring teapots to tip into their mouths,if they couldn't hold a glass. She just took charge and made sure that they got something," Somerville said.
She also managed to be one of many correspondents who wrote about D Day.
"The incredible thing about D-Day is that accredited correspondents produced 700,000 words of text, just about D-Day," Somerville said. "Martha was one of them. She had a piece called 'Over and Back' that Collier’s published."
Gellhorn went on to report into her old age, from all corners of the globe. She filed her last piece, about the murdered street children of Salvador, Brazil, more than 50 years after D-Day, when she was 87 years old.
Yours, For Probably Always: Martha Gellhorn’s Letters of Love and War, 1930-1949 by Janet Somerville is available at the link above, or wherever you buy your books.

“As my friend Julian puts it, only half winkingly: “God blessed me by making me transsexual for the same reason God made wheat but not bread and fruit but not wine, so that humanity might share in the act of creation.”  ― Daniel Mallory Ortberg, Something That May Shock and Discredit You

“The women are everywhere—plays, public walks, libraries. You can see pretty women in the scholar’s study room. . . . A woman, in order to know what is due her and what power she has, must live in Paris for six months.”
— Napoleon in a letter to his brother, Joseph

There are no fantasies of love, Only realities of me belly dancing, in my little kitchen. My body moving only for me, my hips know the hurt of my heart And I lose myself once again, The sun shines through my rose-colored drapes Turning my home into a Harem of love poetry and perfumes. I smoke a cigarette as I make the breakfast, And the whole world serenades me And love is nobody but myself. My hands in jewelry on my shape And I keep on dancing my hair getting longer my eyes getting greener. I eat my dessert in a beautiful dress on the balcony, And my solitude is pink sweeter than any gesture of Love. And they worry about my loneliness But if they saw me now They would fall in love with a woman that is utterly made out of soul and sensuality only for herself; Understanding that love is made of the solitude within the self.

Ahem... Now that's Valentine's Day pray for Reader because their schedule for the day is packed.
The whole club organized soooo many activities or gift for them (and they fought at least 30 minutes for people's order)
Here's someone I thought about:
Breakfast prepared lovingly by our Cinnabae (Imagine a heart shaped pancakes something or like that)
Cuddles or a romantic dance with Hamel either in our dorm or hers
Afternoon with Bai Yi and karaoke (only for you two so she can show off her skills failing)
Lunch with Eirene and Dinner with Chelsea that rent a WHOLE restaurant for us (bonus point if they put some piano music on the background)
Spending the night with Stargazer looking and admiring her the starry sky
-🐾
HELP. POOR READER’S SCHEDULE IS SO JAM PACKED 😨
As an introvert, this is super intimidating but ykw, ILL DO IT FOR THE PTN WOMEN. I’m gushing over Cinnabar making Reader heart shaped pancakes tbh 🥺 I think she’d even drizzle some of the syrup/honey across the stack like a love arrow through the heart…
Also Eirene and Chelsea renting out a whole restaurant just for them and Reader is so extra, but they’d definitely do it. Same with Cabernet and the other rich women, though I can see Cabernet just skipping past dinner and devouring Reader instead for Valentine’s Day.
Besides that however, KARAOKE WITH BAI YI. Imagine her drunkenly singing you love songs while looking at you with that dumb, yet smitten look in her eyes. All the PTN women are just so…in love with you. You truly make them happy and they want to spend as much time with you as they can. (Before the other women get to you first)
