It's strange how Apollo's kids take both after Apollo and their parents talents, but not Will.
Austin's mom is a music teacher, she and Apollo meet during one of her theoretical lessons, and Austin powers focus more on music than anything else. Same with Kayla. Her dad is an archery instructor,he and Apollo meet because of his skills, and Kayla's abilities are focused more on archery. Both her and Austin are show multiple times in their own elements (the music room and the archery targets) and both of them are connected to their parents's jobs and,of course,to Apollo's domains.
And then we have Will. Naomi is an alt-country singer but canonically Will isn't that good at singing (and he also doesn't excell in archery),he is an healer. The only scenes where Will and Apollo interact are when someone is hurt and Will is healing them, nothing related to singing or songs or even music. Right now he is the only expection to this pattern.
Is there a reason for that or am I just pointing out something stupid and irrelevant-?

DP x DC Idea
You wanna know something interesting? Ghost King Danny Phantom, High King of the Infinite Realms, is perfectly empowered to kill Darkseid.
Darkseid's deal (at his strongest) is that he exists infinitely throughout all universes as extensions of a connected self that persists as a whole through the parts... So like, if he exists in one reality, he exists in all realities, so killing him in one reality isn't going to do anything. And then he can just, make another of himself to exist in that reality from a different one.
But if Danny is essentially a King of Infinity, why wouldn't he have the ability to kill every Darkseid that exists at the same time? This 14-year-old, has the ability to kill a god obsessed with power and control.
So, if anyone needs a super-evil, super-powerful enemy for Danny to fight in the DC universe, like Darkseid's one goal is to dominate the multiverse and literally mind-control every sentient being in existence. And usually, Darkseid is just "defeated for now".

Chuuya’s ability is weird and idk how scientifically accurate it is supposed to be but I am going to share what I think is going on.
It’s not just telekinesis, it’s gravity control. But he doesn’t control how much gravity an object has but how much gravity is affecting the object and in what direction. I’ve been thinking about this for a while and it seems so me that when Chuuya touches an object it is affected only by the gravity created by his ability and not by the natural gravity of the Earth. But his ability is not bound by space, it operates almost on another plane of existence. Like when something is affected by his ability it enters something comparable to an added layer of reality. Chuuya creates enormous gravity only within that separate layer of reality, and as you likely know gravity is created by mass so he’s creating large amounts of mass and or energy whenever he uses his ability but it paradoxically takes up no physical space. To make it even more complex, it isn’t just one added layer, every time he uses his ability on an object it creates a new, separate layer, as we can tell from the fact that they move independently. To get the kind of movement he does it makes me think that these gravity layers are that red glow, and it’s almost like he consciously decides what point/angle/direction the gravity is coming from and it pulls the object in its own direction while being connected to it kinda like when you dangle a carrot in front of a horse to get it to move, a self perpetuating system. And Chuuya controls placement of gravity wells as well as their strength and can even make multiple points of gravitational pull act on a single object at once.
It fascinating and totally OP. But it also requires precision and skill.
[EDIT: just want to say that this post explains my initial thoughts before diving down this mind boggling rabbit hole and I will later post a more comprehensive and revised version when I’m done. This one isn’t entirely accurate.]

various things i have said at dinner that have made my family uncomfortable
- you can spy on an hdmi display without touching the cable at all
- power lines create mostly-imperceptible noise, which is recorded 24/7, which can be used to timestamp audio recordings that were made anywhere near mains power
- sometimes computers leak information about what they’re doing into the power line they’re plugged into
- vulnerability brokering is a legitimate industry, but it’s the kind of thing that will get you phone calls from mysterious people that you can’t argue with
- i could buy a key on amazon to open the call box at my dad’s community, and use a paper clip to short two pins that activate the postal service entry function to open the gate
Being a “Fun Fact !” kind of autistic is all fun and games until you get halfway through sharing an interesting tidbit and realize that it probably wasn’t appropriate to share in polite company and now you have to deal with the consequences :(

9 Quick Tips to Hypothesis Testing with SPSS Help for Students
Introduction: Hypothesis Testing Doesn’t Have to Be a Nightmare
If you’re a student just starting out with hypothesis testing in statistics you’ve probably had moments of frustration—especially when using SPSS or, worse, Minitab. Many students struggle with choosing the right test, interpreting output tables or even just setting up their data correctly. It’s not your fault—hypothesis testing can feel like a puzzle with too many pieces.
This is where SPSS help for students comes in. Unlike Minitab which can be overwhelming with its rigidity, SPSS is more user friendly. But even with SPSS things can get confusing. What’s the difference between a t-test and an ANOVA? How do you check assumptions? And what do all those numbers in the output window mean?
Don’t worry I’ve got your back. Below are 9 quick tips to make hypothesis testing in SPSS easier, faster and less stressful. Let’s get started!
1. Know Your Hypothesis Type Before You Touch SPSS
Before you even open SPSS make sure you clearly define your null (H₀) and alternative (H₁) hypotheses. This will determine the type of test you need. Here’s an example:
Null hypothesis (H₀): There is no difference in students’ test scores before and after using a study app.
Alternative hypothesis (H₁): Students score higher after using the study app.
If you’re not sure what type of test you need, SPSS has a helpful “Analyze” menu, but understanding your hypothesis is step one.
2. Choose the Right Statistical Test – It’s Easier Than You Think
One of the biggest struggles students face is choosing the right test. Here’s a quick guide:
If this is still overwhelming consider getting SPSS help for students from an expert—or if you’re really stuck you might even think, Can I pay someone to do my statistics homework? (Spoiler: Yes, you can, but learning it yourself is worth it!)
3. Always Check for Normality – Don’t Skip This Step!
Most hypothesis tests assume your data is normally distributed. To check normality in SPSS:
Click Analyze > Descriptive Statistics > Explore
Move your dependent variable into the Dependent List box
Click Plots, check Normality Plots with Tests, then hit OK
Look at the Shapiro-Wilk test—if p > 0.05, your data is normal. If not, consider a non-parametric test like the Mann-Whitney U test instead of a t-test.
4. Understand the p-Value – It’s More Than Just < 0.05
A p-value tells you to reject H₀, but students often misinterpret it. If p < 0.05 you have significant results (reject H₀). If p > 0.05 the results are not statistically significant (fail to reject H₀).
But here’s the catch: A p-value alone doesn’t tell you if your results are practically significant. Always look at effect size and confidence intervals for more.
5. Check Assumptions Before You Run Any Test
Most tests require assumptions, like homogeneity of variance (for t-tests and ANOVA). In SPSS you can check this using Levene’s test:
Click Analyze > Compare Means > One-Way ANOVA
Check the box for Homogeneity of variance test
If p < 0.05, variances are unequal, and you may need to adjust (like Welch’s test).
Don’t skip assumption checks or you’ll end up with wrong conclusions!
6. Use Graphs to Back Up Your Hypothesis Testing
Raw numbers are great, but SPSS’s graphs will make your results more impressive. Try these:
Boxplots for comparing groups
Histograms to check distributions
Scatterplots to see correlations
To create graphs in SPSS go to Graphs > Legacy Dialogs, select your chart type and customize to make your results more obvious.
7. Know When to Use One-Tailed vs. Two-Tailed
Many students assume two-tailed tests are always the way to go. Not true!
One-tailed test if you have a specific directional hypothesis (e.g. "higher", "lower")
Two-tailed test if you’re just testing for any difference.
One-tailed tests are more powerful but you might miss the opposite effect. Choose wisely!
8. Is Your Sample Size Big Enough?
Small sample sizes can lead to wrong results. Use G*Power (free) or SPSS’s power analysis to check if your sample size is sufficient.
Click Analyze > Power Analysis
Enter your effect size, alpha level and expected sample size
If your study is underpowered (if so you may need more participants)
9. Write Up Your Results Like a Pro (APA Style)
If you’re writing a report follow APA style. Here’s how to write up your results:
"An independent t-test was conducted to compare test scores between students who used the app and those who didn’t. The results were significant, t(48) = 2.34, p = 0.022, d = 0.65, app users scored higher.”
Always include the test type, degrees of freedom, test statistic, p-value and effect size.
Final Thoughts
Hypothesis testing in SPSS doesn’t have to be torture. Follow these 9 tips—choose the right test, check assumptions, interpret results correctly—you’ll feel more confident and will ace your stats assignments. And remember, whenever you feel the need of SPSS help for students, don’t hesitate to reach out to your professor or online spss experts.

Does uncertainty undermine statistical power analysis?
The post is about a paper titled Uncertainty limits the use of power analysis. If you want to avoid the paywalled version on the APA website, there is also an ungated preprint. I came across the paper through this mainly critical blog post. I think there are good points in both texts and some arguments that are taken too far. On the article: I am skeptical about the severity of the two issues…

Constantly and consistently thinking about Eda being the most Powerful Witch on the Boiling Isles. How it's not even hyperbole-- how Eda was so naturally talented and gifted with magic, with the Isles, that she made a whole room of doors specifically to keep learning magic because she loved it so much. How when Eda loses her magic, it's a giant beam of light that pulses in waves from the sheer FORCE of it. How Lilith Clawthorne, one of the most talented Witches from the Emperor's Coven, could not best her at her worst, because even then she was still more powerful.
And the curse takes it from her. And the coven sigils take it from her. And Lilith tries to take it from her, and even though she deeply regrets it, she succeeds.
Emperor Belos demands Eda brought to him because he knows, deep down, that she is stronger than him. How he deems her not a threat any longer after losing her magic, how she has to rebuild her own identity. How much she loves magic that she infodumps about it-- she takes out library books, she learns how ancient Witches did magic, and how much long she pours over old scrolls and maps of Bonesborough like they're old friends. How, after curbstomping Belos, she immediately opens a college about the importance of wild magic.
The most powerful Witch on the Boiling Isles-- unable to do the thing she spent so long learning to do best-- she's now teaching the next generation of witches to be even STRONGER than her-
#The Owl House#TOH Analysis#Eda Clawthorne#I think constantly about power scaling in this show#And I think most of all about how Eda would've been able to kill Belos in a fight ten fifteen twenty years ago#But her sister was in the coven. I adore Charlie's attention to detail with Sauron's mannerisms, and I particularly love his angry finger wiggle.
It shows that Charlie really thinks through Sauron's mannerisms. On the surface, it's kind of a cute, funny little mannerism, but if you think about it, it has a much deeper, darker implication.
Why? Because when we see Sauron using magic, particularly in Season 2, it's often by flicking his fingers or twisting his hands.
We see it most obviously when he uses his hands to control the elven guards and force them to kill each other. We also see it when he flicks his fingers to throw Mirdania off the wall.
With that in mind, it seems obvious what the "angry finger wiggle" really is. He wants to use magic. He wants to literally blast apart his surroundings and kill everyone in his path. He's doing everything to control himself to not let loose his magic, and it manifests as the little finger wiggle.

Ok after more thorough research I have come to the conclusion that yes, Chuuya is actually making mini black holes. I had originally said that was completely unrealistic because to make a black hole something needs to have so much mass that it collapses in on itself to create a singularity. That’s what I was taught. In actuality mini black holes are theoretically possible if the matter is compressed enough. The thing is that the smaller the black hole the more quickly it evaporates. A black hole with the mass of an asteroid would be smaller than an atom. It would basically just be a flash of energy. A little explosion. And I’m getting all this information from Janna Levin, an astrophysicist specializing in this kind of cosmology. It took a stupid amount of digging to get this verified, no one talks about them because they aren’t naturally occurring.
In conclusion, while we have never observed or created a mini black hole they are theoretically possible if gravity is warped enough regardless of mass. So Chuuya could totally make mini black holes like what he used in the fight against Love craft, though they probably wouldn’t look like that. However I still maintain that the scene in Storm Bringer in which Verlaine opens Chuuya’s gate seems more like a wormhole to an antimatter universe, though I will concede that it’s likely a wormhole created using a black hole.

I've been thinking a lot about the powers of the Fantastic Four. There's a future episode idea that I'm playing with, but for now, I'm thinking about voluntary vs. involuntary powers being represented in their original comics. Sue and Johnny Storm's powers are voluntary, meaning they both have an on/off switch. Ben Grimm's "power" is involuntary. He is and forever will be made of stone. Dr. Reed Richards is ambiguous, but given the nature of his power, it would make sense that his elasticity is also involuntary and he can maintain a human shape.
Teams and power balance are things I want to talk about more in the future, but for now, imagine yourself as Ben Grimm. Your fellows and friends can still look human and be a part of society. You take ownership of the name "The Thing" after one of your friends negatively responded to your new appearance. You become a hero because it's the "right thing to do," but no one seems to be in such a hurry to help you become flesh and blood again, or even make your life more accessible. You are no longer a friend and colleague to Dr. Reed Richards, you are now the token weirdo and a social burden.

I have a lot more to say on this subject and more that I may add to this post while I read the collection I have. While "The Thing" was never my favorite superhero, Ben Grimm's story was always relatable to my own disability story, and why I feel so inspired to write superhero stories of my own.
I have a lot to say about Ben Grimm. He's an interesting character who doesn't always get the depth or nuance he deserves. Among other heroes, Ben becomes an unintentional metaphor for physical disability. He is trapped inside a body he didn't choose and can't change. There are people around him, who he calls friends, who won't understand him. Everybody has difficulties and burdens they carry with them. But depression, anxiety, and addiction are all maskable disorders. Comparison is the thief of joy, but it's hard to be positive when the things hurting you so much are blatant and yet misunderstood. Not even Ben Grimm's closest friends take the time to understand or relate to him.

I really appreciate the beauty of Malleus New Year's card. But most importantly, other than its gorgeousness, I also appreciate how it pays so much homage to his status and character, from the flowers, the clothes, and the setting. 🥹
We know that wisterias were prevalent in his Dorm Groovy SSR, this time its another flower which is the red plum blossom here😭❤️
In Chinese philosophy, the Plum tree’s blossom is a symbol of winter ending and a herald of spring. The tree’s pale pink blossoms are cherished because they bloom vibrantly and so bravely amidst the winter chill. They symbolise perseverance and hope, as well as, beauty thriving in adverse circumstances.
The way this flower's meaning is so matched with Malleus' character is so precious. We know he's "the herald of spring" because his birth brought forth a hope that the Draconias(or the faes in general) won't die out just yet (the ending of winter) and the fact that this flower blooms even in winter probably symbolizes the fact that when he was an egg, he was still perservering to live. This also applies to his life as he grows up. With the way even if his life is riddled with loneliness and exclusion, he makes an effort to go out and adjust himself with others, he doesn't give up even if his reality consistently places him in situation where his goals can never be achieved (that is, him being accepted socially and him being ignorant of human culture but still makes an effort to understand it), he just continues to be hopeful that someone/ some place will invite him, therefore his ability to thrive in adverse circumstances.
The way he slowly rises in this card makes me feel like it symbolizes how slow paced Malleus is "in going out/getting used to outside of his comfort zone", actually lol. He described his admission to NRC as him being nervous because its an unknown place but still hopeful for the experiences that he might get(acccording to the vignette of his GloMas SSR), just like him here rising from the snow and the way he lifts the veil which makes me think he wants to see the world outside of his country's point of view with his own eyes.
Japanese tradition holds that the Plum (or ‘ume’) is celebrated as a protective charm against evil, so the ume is traditionally planted in the northeast of the garden, the direction from which evil is believed to come.
I also read this symbolism which makes me tear up lmaooo 😭Because we know in Book 7, Briarland was invaded from northeast where the Silver Owls originated from 💀 The fact that the plum blossom is a protection flower and he's surrounded with it in this card makes me think that it symbolizes how protected he was during Briarland's era 😭and another thing to dissect from his slow rise from the snow with the fact the plum blossom signifies protection is probably the fact that he took so long to hatch despite many people caring for him.
Side note that in Malleus Bloom Birthday Groovy, it implied that he was born in daytime during a snowfall, and he was happy experiencing the winter, just like in this New Years card where he's smiling against the heavy snowfall 🥹
In Japan, plum blossoms symbolize good fortune, an auspicious flower, along with pine and bamboo, and the arrival of early spring. They are often used as the design for New Year’s greeting cards and other celebratory occasions. (And maybe this is just the likely reason why this flower is here in Malleus' card and I'm overthinking it above lol
Next thing I want to mention is his clothes, that attire reminds me of the formal outfit of a Japanese Emperor (From what I searched, its called sokutai, but what Malleus wears is much more simpler I guess, its a outfit derived from it which is called ikan.) This post is a great overview about these two outfits.
Ikan is the work clothes of nobles and government officials in the Imperial Court after the Heian period. Sokutai is a formal costume for those from the Emperor to the court nobles in and after Heian period (Heian costume). Ikan is called 'tonoi (nighttime) costume', whereas sokutai is called 'hino (daytime) costume'. (which probably references the fact that he's a night fae)
The point is, what Malleus wears in this card is a very traditional garment that only high ranking Japanese officials can wear. But what he wears isn't the clothes of an emperor yet, but just for a high ranking official, which is accurate to his status that he's still a crown prince not yet the king, because only Maleficia truly rules Briar Valley right now.
I love the decision that they made him wear such a prestigious outfit because the story of the New Years event is the characters working on customer service lol Its like his clothes is a reminder that he is still highly distinguished even if temporarily he's a worker.
Lastly the VEIL !!!!!! That's the thing that catched my eyes the most in this card lol I KNOW they're not referencing a wedding here because the veil don't look the same, but its so good not to mention that the one of the headress of a Japanese bride is called tsunokakushi and its description can be related with Malleus a lot lol.
The term is a compound of 角 (tsuno, "horn") + 隠し (kakushi, "hiding"). This derivation is listed in some sources as a reference to hiding a bride's "horns" of anger, jealousy, or other negative qualities, in order to present a more virtuous image for the wedding. However, this interpretation might be a folk etymology resulting from a shift in the reading and meaning.
The headdress and the veil aren't the same thing but I kinda feel like this is the idea they're going for considering the veil is 1) hiding his horns, 2) he's a character associated with being jealous, and most importantly, 3) only the person he is looking at can see his face (which is the point of most wedding veils/headdress, to hide the bride's face so that only her partner can see it).
But long veils, like the one Malleus is holding is also just a garment for a noble to hide their nobility. Which is this is probably the likely reason, considering he's using that veil to cover up his horns and his clothes, the most obvious features of his status.
Also, it could be just a fun reference to the fact that Maleficent in live action wore a long veil to hide her horns so that she wouldn't scare the humans lol
