#and they know how to function without him and would completely the mission

Mmmmm thoughts for you
In your army days series, what would Jack do if he has to pick between his mission and Mac? (How did they get into that situation?) He’s still a soldier and has to do his duty and yet this is Mac.
Just wanted your thoughts on this :))
HMMMM
I may be heavily influenced by JStar8 as of right now, but Jack would choose Mac. Every time
Definitely more so after Mac initially saved him from that IED he stumbled on, because before that, Jack chose him out of a sense of duty because Mac was his responsibility, and was a dumb kid that didn’t know how the world worked and it served as a kinda teaching moment(?) or something like that
But after that, it was a different sense of duty, like after learning how shit of a childhood Mac had, Jack figured he had to show Mac that there are actually good people in the world
Of course there were horribly difficult decisions, like Mac+Stranger-Jack where Jack had to choose the mission to keep Mac safe,
But like if they were out and like in a big firefight or whatever, and Jack had to make the decision of Get The Bad Guy or Save Mac, it’s Mac. 100% it’s always going to be Mac
Honestly though, Jack doesn’t really ever have to make any big decisions, because if there’s anything where Mac’s involved, he’s going to choose whatever option will keep him safe in the long haul

Hello lovely,
I saw your post that your requests are open, so I will give it a try =)
Imagine Bucky and reader are best friends but they have a huge argument and now they don't talk to each other for days. She's feeling really bad, missing him. He is her most important person and now without interacting with him for days, she's feeling lost and lonely and heartbroken. Maybe she has not a super power and is only a normal human, helping the Avengers with IT or something. Due to the argument with her best friend and not talking to Bucky (Bucky ignores her completely) she begins to feel it not only mental but also physically. She can't eat probably and at the end falls deathly sick.... With a fluffy happy ending and a worried and protective Bucky
Please. That would be nice.
Take care honey
oh my goodness— my heart 😭❤️ the angst is gonna hurt, but i’m such a sucker for it. i had so much fun writing this one, thank you for requesting and i hope you like it🥰

Your nails bit into your palm, denting the flesh— threatening to pierce the delicate skin. It was all to hold yourself back, distract you from the words that wanted to burst out.
It was becoming a sickening routine, Bucky was reckless and had yet another near death experience on his recent mission. The anxiety and the nerves stopping your body from functioning— the dreaded wait for his jet to arrive back at the compound. You shouldn’t have to be used of receiving the call that he had yet again made a reckless move— but you were starting to discover a pattern.
It did nothing to ease the panic that swirled in your chest every time he left for missions. You’d sob, throwing up everything you had eaten that day— unable to stomach anything with the idea that Bucky was on a mission. You never found your anxiety to be so severe— but when Bucky was even mentioned about going on a mission… it spiked.
That’s where you found yourself in his room, watching him pace the space— avoiding your frustrated stare. You weren’t angry at him per say— you were angry that he didn’t value his life.
“Seriously (Y/n)— you get so worked up over nothing. I’m here and alive— isn’t that enough?” He exclaimed, throwing his hands up in frustration.
You pressed your nails tighter to your palm, yet the pain couldn’t stop your thundering thoughts.
“You’re here and alive now, until you do some stupid shit like this again and are dead!” You hissed, trying to keep your voice low but you didn’t know how much longer you could control yourself.
He glared at you, squinting his eyes in anger and then rolling his eyes.
“Oh for fucks sake— can you stop fucking babying me? I can handle myself!” He raised his voice, his metal arm whirring.
“I’m not babying you— I’m just scared you’re gonna get yourself killed. Do you care about your life at all?” You asked him aggressively, your voice raising just a tad.
He took a long pause, staring at you with his face void of emotion— only annoyance.
“Not really.” He admitted.
You were taken back, although you had these conversations with him a time or twenty. It was an ongoing process to get him to slowly love himself— his past as The Winter Soldier torturing his soul. He was so convinced he wasn’t deserving of anything, not even a roof over his head. It was a struggle to help him, but you weren’t going to give up on him.
“You realize if anything ever happened to you I—” Your voice broke, needing a breath, “Buck I wouldn’t know what to do with myself.”
You thought you saw his eyes flash with guilt, but before you could linger on the look for too long— his face was hardening again.
“That doesn’t sound like my problem.” He mumbled out, making your eyes widen.
You were extremely taken back from those words, your chest aching painfully— him not knowing what effect those words had on you.
“Are you fucking serious?” You asked him, your face morphing into a hurt expression, mixed with anger. “Can you just do your job without trying to kill yourself?”
His face grew red with rage and he was stomping up towards you— his face inches from yours.
“I am doing my job— very well in fact. Unlike you who just fucking sits here doing nothing!” He defended himself, his breath hitting your face in warm pants.
“Doing nothing? Buck— why are you like this?” You puffed your chest, not backing down from his towering form.
But your words seemed to have hit a nerve, as he shrunk back slightly, narrowing his gaze at you.
“Like what?”
You furrowed your brows, slowing your racing heart from the shouting— you weren’t sure you had said anything bad. Did you?
“What?” You squeaked out, nervous now.
“You said, why am I like this… like what?” He pushed, stepping closer to you now, his face still red with anger but you could see the hurt in his eyes.
You swallowed and wondered how to convince him you didn’t mean anything bad by what you said. But you were almost positive it would be an impossible task to get Bucky to listen.
“Buck, I didn’t mean anythin—”
“What— you think I’m not capable of doing my job? You think I’m still the monster hydra made me?” He spat, his chest rising and falling quicker.
“No, no Buck listen—”
That was definitely not what you meant, you could tell he was spiraling and you were still confused as to why. You would never make him think that.
“After 70 fucking years I finally have a job that I like— that I enjoy doing— I fucking help people! I’m finally doing some good and now you’re telling me I’m not capable of doing it?” He boomed, his chest puffing into yours and your stumbled back slightly. “You think I’m only capable of being a monster? Huh? Is that what you fucking think?”
You were growing scared now, the look in his eyes wild with something and you didn’t like how close he was to you— you knew he’d never hurt you but your fear overwhelmed your senses.
“Friday— call Steve and Sam in here now!” You shouted into the room, and Bucky’s eyes squinted painfully— his metal arm whirring again.
Bucky only saw one thing— you didn’t reassure him that he was thinking irrationally. You didn’t correct him that he wasn’t the monster. Instead you called for help, that you were clearly scared— because you thought he was a monster.
He was at a loss for words and just stared at you, almost through you— as his breathing was only getting heavier at the sight of your fearful eyes.
Not even minutes later, Steve and Sam were busting through the door, taking in the scene and separated you and Bucky.
“Hey— what’s going on?” Steve asked in between the two of you. “Buck, what’s wrong man?”
You couldn’t seem to find the words and just stood speechless as well— the fight startling you. This was one of the worst ones, and it was also one that still left you confused. You cursed yourself for not being careful enough with your words— but it was almost impossible to get through to him when he was on the brink of having an episode.
Sam walked closer to you, his facing morphing into concern as he took in your shocked expression.
“(Y/n)? You okay? Did he hurt you?” Sam whispered, keeping his words only between you two.
You slowly shook your head but still didn’t respond verbally.
“Okay, okay that’s good. You wanna go get a drink from downstairs? Why don’t we take a breather okay?” Sam suggested softly, big brother mode kicking in at the sight of your frazzled state.
Without another word, you left the room with Sam— missing the devastated look from Bucky.
Steve waited until the door shut, then his attention was back on Bucky.
“Buck, you gotta talk to me man— what happened?” He asked softly, watching his friend slowly relax, but it wasn’t from being in a relaxing mood— his body and mind were just exhausted from the argument.
“I fucked everything up. That’s what happened.” He mumbled, turning away from Steve to sit on the edge of his bed.
Steve followed behind but stood in front of him, shaking his head— ready to argue.
“You didn’t mess anything up, arguments happen. You guys will work it out. I know how much you mean to each other.” Steve pointed out, watching Bucky’s face unchanging.
“You didn’t see the way she looked at me— she’s scared of me I—” He shuttered, his breath shaky as he remembered your look, “I fucking scared her.”
Steve’s chest ached, the state of his friend breaking his heart. He knew Bucky meant no harm, and he almost for a fact knew that you knew that too. But Bucky for sure didn’t believe that himself.
“I didn’t see what you saw, but I can guarantee you that she’s not afraid of you. This is (Y/n) we are talking about. You are her world Buck.” Steve tried to convince him.
Bucky shook his head, running his flesh hand through his hair.
“I think I just need to stay away from her for awhile.” Bucky came up with instead.
Steve immediately started shaking his head, knowing that was the last thing he needed.
“Bucky I—”
“Please Steve… I just need some space.” Bucky pleaded, his body sagging in exhaustion.
Steve couldn’t find it in himself to argue with him anymore about this. Maybe he did need some time to himself, to cool down and gather his thoughts. Also Steve wasn’t going to force him to anything ever. After the years his pal went through— he would never make him do anything. He had enough things decided for him, and Steve wasn’t about to stoop to hydra’s level.
Meanwhile down in the kitchen, Sam was getting you a glass of water— standing across from your seated form at the island. He slid the cup across, sending a worried glance at you.
“(Y/n)?” Sam snapped his fingers getting your attention.
You were shaken from your state of staring, but even snapped out of the trance— the anxieties still swirled within you.
“Yeah sorry… I’m here.” You whispered, grabbing the glass and taking a tiny sip.
Sam gave you a quizzical expression, watching you start to slip back into a mindless stare— so he spoke up.
“You wanna tell me what happened?” He asked, genuinely curious what had went down.
He knew— hell everyone knew you and Bucky were extremely close. Best of friends, always there for one another— dancing on the line of strictly friends to lovers. Truthfully, Sam found it completely obnoxious and just wanted you two together already.
“I don’t really know… I think I said the wrong thing— I didn’t mean to make him upset.” You confessed, keeping your eyes on the countertop, not risking a glance to Sam.
“Hey, don’t beat yourself up— mistakes happen. I’m sure he’ll forgive you.” Sam told you.
You shook your head, gripping the cup tighter.
“God I hope so… I don’t know what I’d do without him.” You whispered pathetically, tears welling in your eyes.
Sam reached out to rub your arm comfortingly, trying to relax you so you didn’t start crying. He hated to see you cry— made his heart hurt.
“It’s been a long day for everyone, why don’t you go head upstairs and get some sleep. I’m sure things will have blown over by tomorrow.” He suggested and you finally met his gaze, smiling weakly and nodding.
Without saying goodbye, you stood up and headed to your room. Taking Sam’s words and playing them on repeat in your head.
Tomorrow is another day, tomorrow would be better.
God had you hoped that was the case— it only was the beginning on the torment.
You had slept in longer than usual, but overall felt refreshed. The first thing that came to mind when fully waking up was Bucky. Immediately you headed downstairs to find him— needing to talk with him— apologize.
Making it down to the kitchen, you let out a breath you didn't know you were holding in at the sight of him sitting at the island— sipping at his coffee. You furrowed your brows, thinking he'd be done with his coffee by now, since you had slept in. Your chest ached with guilt with the possibility that he didn't sleep well.
You took a deep breath before making yourself known, although you were sure be could sense you in the room— considering he was a super soldier.
"Morning Buck." You announced, walking around the island so you could face him.
He kept his gaze down at his coffee, finding the cup more interesting than you.
Okay, that’s fair. You thought, you most probably deserved that reaction.
“You sleep okay?” You asked again, picking at the skin on your nails nervously.
Again— he didn’t even lift his head. In fact, he wasn’t even acknowledging you. You waited several minutes for a response, the silence becoming thick with tension and you couldn’t stand it.
“Bucky?” You tried, and this time he lifted his head.
Your heart twinged in your chest at his bloodshot eyes, clear evidence that he hadn’t gotten good sleep. You hated yourself for causing him the stress, especially knowing he was just starting to actually get hours of sleep. It was huge progress compared to his nights either screaming awake or just staring at the walls. But now you had to go and ruin all that progress. You felt sick to your stomach— disgusted with yourself.
“I’m really sorry about last night… I didn’t like how ugly it got and I’m sorry if I said something to upset you— you know I’d never intentionally hurt you.” You told him, picking more aggressively at your nails, causing to nail beds to bleed.
You swallowed nervously when he didn’t answer right away, instead staring at you with… what was that? Disgust? You didn’t know, but you hated the look altogether.
“Bucky, please say something.” You pleaded.
Bucky lowered his gaze to his coffee again, taking a minute before he stood up and looked your way.
“I just need some space.” He told you quietly.
You were relived to have him finally talk to you, but to hear him suggest space between you two— you could almost feel the knife digging into your chest. You tried to keep a neutral expression but otherwise felt your bottom lip quiver.
Without giving you time to respond, Bucky was walking out of the room— leaving you standing there speechless, lungs begging for air. You didn’t want your mind to go immediately to that thought, but you couldn’t ignore it either— he hated you.
“Hey babe, I need you to help me out in the lab tod—” Tony came busting into the room, but immediately shut up once he saw your broken expression. “Honey, what’s wrong? You alright?”
You nodded your head, lying to him and yourself and started waving him off with the fakest smile.
“Yeah— yeah I’m good. Just need to uh— need to get some things done.” You told him, your eyes darting all around the room, the familiar feeling of panic seeping into your being.
Tony gave you a ‘really?’ look and stepped closer to you.
“(Y/n) I’m not blind— I can see you’re upset. Talk to m—”
“Seriously Tony— I’m fine! Just leave it alone!” You told him a little too aggressively.
His face was taken back and you felt guilty immediately, cursing yourself for hurting everyone.
Why are you such a fucking issue? Your mind screamed at you.
You didn’t waste another second and sped walked out of the room, needing to calm yourself down before you ran into any one else. You were spiraling and you needed to just relax— take a deep breath. Maybe you just needed one more day and things would be back to normal.
Yeah… just one more day.
You had hoped that was the case as well… but as always— things only got worse.
Bucky refused to talk to you or even look at you. He’d given you the cold shoulder for almost two weeks now. He would get up and leave the second you entered the room. He couldn’t stand you it seemed.
You couldn’t keep hiding your hurt. At first, you had done a good job at hiding how you were really feeling. Saving the sobbing and attacks for when you were alone in your room. As the days lingered on, you found yourself weak and drained— you didn’t have enough energy to put up a charade anymore.
The whole team were sending you worried looks, and attempted to talk with you. But the second they’d try— you’d bolt. The subject was too sensitive, too raw. You didn’t want to talk to anyone but Bucky— and he hated you.
You had missed so many meals, forgetting to eat with your mental struggles throughout the days. You had been getting no more than two hours of sleep. You were so stressed, so stuck in your own mind that you couldn’t function. Even when you had managed to remember to eat, your stomach would knot up to the point that you were throwing everything up. You were gaunt, basically a real life zombie. You needed help— but you needed Bucky more.
You were laying in bed staring unknowingly into space, it had been hard to focus with no food or sleep in your system— so you had only managed to lay here. Even that was exhausting, no matter how much you laid around— your mind wouldn’t stop the assault. Your anxiety had never been this bad, you were a prisoner to it.
Knocking at your door had you jumping, your heart racing— and for a moment you forgot where you were.
You’re in the compound… yeah that’s right.
You slowed your breathing and swung your legs sluggishly over the edge of the bed to answer it. You weren’t prepared for the sudden dizzy spell, your vision spotting with black and white specks. You tried to blink it off, but suddenly you were toppling to the ground.
You fell to the floor with a loud thump, luckily landing on your front, your hands somehow catching most of your fall— you could already feel the throbbing in your palms.
You didn’t hear the persistent knocking, or the door open. You didn’t even hear the voice speaking from the doorway. It was when a hand landed on your shoulder that you were gasping, forgetting your surroundings once again.
Your eyes met Steve’s and you swore your heart was about to beat out of your chest.
“(Y/n) are you alright?” He asked you, hovering his hands over you— not sure what you had hurt.
You furrowed your brows, looking him over.
“Steve what are… what are you doing here?” You asked genuinely confused.
You watched Steve’s eyes widen and he swallowed nervously— his expression growing more concerned.
“(Y/n) it’s okay… I’ve got you.” Steve hushed, and he was pulling you into his chest, hugging you protectively.
You were still confused but then you tasted one of your stray tears, and you immediately came to your senses. You were crying in Steve’s arms… but why? You were having gaps of time missing from you, this wasn’t the first time this had happened— you just didn’t seem to care.
“Steve… my head hurts.” You slurred into his chest, sagging against him.
You were grateful that he was here, you desperately needed someone around. You were just hoping that someone would’ve been Bucky.
“Okay, let’s get you to Helen. She’s gonna take care of you, okay?” Steve asked you, and you could only give a weak nod.
He knew there was no way you were walking there, so he hoisted you up into his arms, and cradled your head as he started to the med bay.
You just stared blankly at his chest, not really caring if Steve were to throw you off the roof of the building. You just didn’t care.
Steve had gotten you down to her, and she checked you out. Alerting Steve that you were extremely malnourished, dehydrated— an insomniac. She kept listing off all the things Steve was afraid to hear. The whole time he was sure you didn’t hear a thing, although you were in the room— you were just checked out.
Helen eventually left, and Steve took his opportunity to speak with you. He pulled up a chair next to the hospital bed and grabbed your hand.
“(Y/n), what’s going on? You can talk to me— you can’t keep doing this to yourself. Please… just talk to me.” Steve whispered, pleading with you that you would stop torturing yourself.
“He hates me.” You mumbled.
Steve’s eyes widened and he frowned, knowing what you meant. He knew he let this go on for too long.
“(Y/n) he doesn’t hate you. He just needed time to himself, so he co—”
“I didn’t mean to hurt his feelings, I don’t even know what I said to hurt him but I—” You rushed out, the heart monitor beeping frantically, “I’m a horrible person, I didn’t mean to— I didn’t mean to!”
You wheezed out, clutching your chest as you couldn’t catch your breath. Your cheeks glistened with a steady stream of tears, your wheezing only growing by the second.
“Okay, okay (Y/n)— I need you to slow your breathing. You’re okay, he doesn’t hate you. Just take deep breaths okay— even if you can’t just try. I’m here.” He tried to coach you, but this wasn’t his thing.
Now he was starting to get mad at his friend, Bucky shouldn’t of let this go on for this long.
You followed his chest rising and falling, staring at him as he tried to calm you down. Your breaths were heavy and painful sounding. Steve was about to say something but stopped himself when he saw your eyes look behind him.
He turned and saw Bucky standing in the doorway— his face paled. Truthfully, he looked like he was going to be sick.
“(Y/n)?” He whispered, his heart breaking at your state.
He had ran into Helen in the kitchen and was informed of your condition— he didn’t believe it and had to see for himself. He was shocked to find you like this.
Your tears only edged on from his appearance and you shook your head in shame.
“I’m sorry Bucky! Whatever I did, I’m sorry!” You sobbed and Bucky ran to the bed, kneeling down and taking your hands into his.
“Doll it’s okay, you’re okay. I’m here— I’m here. I’m not gonna leave you… I’m sorry.” He rushed out, shushing your cries, watching you slow your breathing at his words. “There we go, just keep breathing with me. I’m here, you’re okay.”
He kept repeating himself, making sure you knew he wasn’t going anywhere.
Steve knew you were in good hands and slowly snuck out of the room— knowing you two needed to talk.
Bucky tucked a stray piece of hair behind your ear, letting his fingers trail down your cheek to your jaw. You couldn’t help the way your face leaned into his touch, it felt like it had been forever since the last one.
Your breathing had slowed down, and now you just stared up at him— eyes glossy with more tears. You felt so many emotions. You felt relived, but also angry and hurt. Above all— you needed to know what you did to upset him. The guilt still ate away at your heart, and even just the memory of the argument had your chest aching.
“What did I do?” You whispered, making his eyes shoot up to yours, concern painting his face.
“You didn’t do anything.” He told you, and you furrowed your brows.
You were still anxious— he hadn’t answered your question. Even more so— if you didn’t do anything then why did he ignore you?
“Then why?”
“Why what (Y/n)?” He dared to ask, and you scoffed— ripping your hands out of his.
The anger was approaching.
“Why did you shut me out?” You wondered, and he only let his eyes cast down to the bed— making you angrier. “You ignored me for two weeks! Two fucking weeks you just acted as if I didn’t exist! Do you know how much that fucking hurts?”
You were breathing heavy again, but this time it wasn’t from panic— it was the full force of all your anger bursting out.
He lifted his eyes to you, and you saw how broken he looked. How your state had affected him.
“I could never do that to you Buck— I would never do that to you! You’re my everything! I don’t trust anyone as much as I trust you!” You raised your voice, while he stayed silent. “If I didn’t do anything then why would you— why—”
You broke out into a sob, covering your face with your hands. You felt good getting all the built up anger out— but now you felt extremely guilty. The pitiful face of Bucky staring at you, causing your heart to hurt all over again. It didn’t matter what happened, you always ended up hurting others.
“(Y/n) I’m so sorry I— god I fucked up. I didn’t ever mean to hurt you, please know that. You’re my other half, and no one has ever been there for me like you have.” He spoke through a tight throat, swelling with emotion.
You uncovered your face and just stared at him a little longer, still incredibly hurt from his actions— but you knew you couldn’t stay mad at him. You so badly wanted to forgive and forget— and just wrap him in your arms like you both needed.
“It’s hard to explain what’s wrong with me to someone when I don’t even understand what’s wrong with me— I just know I’m fucked up. I’m broken beyond repair.” His voice broke, his own eyes welling with tears.
You didn’t have it in you to keep up an angry facade, and so you reached out and took his hand in yours. His face almost immediately lit up, his breathing slowing at your touch.
“Try me.” You whispered, watching Bucky take a deep breath before he spoke again.
“The night of our fight…” He started, and you swallowed in having to remember that night. “I had never seen you look at me like that.”
You stayed silent, afraid to open your mouth and have a sob escape. You could feel it bubbling up— the memory playing back through your mind.
“You looked at me like you were scared. You looked at me like I was a monster.” He confessed and it all made sense to you now.
It wasn’t about what you said, it was your reaction that disturbed him to no ends. Even if you couldn’t control your reaction in the moment— you still felt guilty for causing him pain of remembering the hydra days.
“Oh Buck…” You whimpered, trying to pull him close— but he pulled away before he could reach your embrace.
“No— you don’t get to be nice to me after what I did. I promised I would never hurt you and I did— you’re in here because of me! I don’t deserve your forgiveness!” He raised his voice, and you weren’t scared of him— just concerned.
“I wasn’t scared of you Bucky, you just caught me off guard. Things were heated— I’m not afraid of you and I most definitely don’t think you’re a monster.” You tried to convince him.
“I really hope you’re not lying because if you were afraid of me… god I don’t know what I’d do. If you never wanted to see me again— that’s fine. Whatever you want, but I can’t live knowing you’re afraid of me.” He whimpered out.
“I wouldn’t lie to you.”
He nodded his head, knowing damn well you’d never lie. That was one thing he loved about you— you were so honest. Keeping it real with him, even if he didn’t wanna hear it. He could count on you for the truth.
“I still don’t deserve your forgiveness.” He argued.
“Well too bad, I’m forgiving you anyway.” You finally told him and he felt his chest expand.
Like he could finally breath.
“Why?” He wondered.
You knew it was the line you two had been dancing on forever— but you knew if there was ever a time to say it. It was now.
“Because I love you.” You admitted quietly.
His eyes widened just slightly, and his breath stuttered. He had always had a feeling what you two had was more than friends, he just never spoke up about it. Of course he loves you too— god he loves you so much. That’s why the thought of you being scared of him was enough to pull him away. He couldn’t bear being around you if you were frightened by him. He couldn’t live with himself. More importantly he now discovered, he really couldn’t live without you.
“I love you so much.” He confessed back as your tears leaked down your cheeks.
You pulled his arm, and he let you pull him to the bed— close enough where you could cup both his cheeks.
“Don’t ever do that to me again, please. I need you Bucky— life is not livable without you.” You cried, kissing his forehead to which he leaned into your lips.
“Never again— I promise.”
This time, he wouldn’t break it.

cigarettes
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
Pairing: Sanji x Reader
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
Tumblr media
You hated cigarettes.
Cigarettes were stuffy and overwhelming, the scent lingered for hours, and the smoke made your lungs feel closed up. They were complete bombardments to your senses, and genuinely? You felt as if the world would be better off without them. Smoking is a bad habit, after all. Why would anyone willingly choose to give themselves lung cancer and an early grave?
The Thousand Sunny was having a lively night. Brooks was merrily serenading the crew, while each of them were on their own missions. Zoro was drinking (to death, probably, how was his liver still functioning?), Usopp was reliving the latest battle with Luffy, Franky, and Chopper (with embellishments, of course, not that his audience would be able to detect them), and Nami and Robin were sucked into their books (they were so perfect, the crew hardly deserved the gift of their presence). That just left Sanji.
Running around, fawning over “Nami-Swan,” and lighting yet another cigarette.
Yes, he was a phenomenal chef. Yes, he was doting and chivalrous. Yes, he was charismatic and consistent, and it was so hard to find a man that to actually abide by a moral code. But God, he was perverted. He was unbearable. And he reeked like menthol.
Sighing, you crossed your wrists over each other and leaned on the railing of the ship. The Grand Line was dangerous, but it was beautiful when the moonlight reflected across the water. The sights, the wind in your face, and the freedom made all the trouble worth the adventure. You were apart from the main crowd, opting for some personal space at the front of the ship. The Straw Hat crew was your family; and true to life, everyone needs their elbow room sometimes, even from the ones they love most.
Approaching footsteps interrupted your peace. Looking over your shoulder, you spotted Sanji walking towards you. Great, you thought. He gazed at you with a slight tension in his brow. “The fish is ready. Are you going to eat?”
“In a little bit, yes,” you responded. “I just wanted some fresh air and quiet right now.” Sanji settled in, standing beside you, mimicking your pose by also leaning against the railing. “I hope you come down soon,” he spoke in a low voice. “Our princess-warrior needs her strength just like the rest of us.”
A smile tugged at your lips. “I’m scared, Sanji,” you whispered, choosing to open up to him. “The world is changing. I worry about my people at home. I know there’s ample resources and military force to keep them safe, but…” you trailed off, eyes shifting from focusing and losing focusing on the sea waves. Sanji let out a hum, and pulled out a cigarette and a light. You cocked your head towards him, this time with a slight lip curl. “You just had one. Do you really have to smoke another one, right here?”
He let out a puff of smoke and a chuckle. “Mon amour, we all have ways of dealing with our stress.”
Sanji shifted to face his body towards you, but kept one arm on the railing. “You can’t sit there and worry about your people all day and night. I see it on your face every time I look at you. It practically breaks my heart,” he paused to place his free hand on his chest. He broke out into a warm smile. “Right here and now, princess, you are safe, and they are safe too.”
You let out a deep breath, doing your best to soak in his words. “Thank you, Sanji.” He let out another hum, put out his cigarette, and brought you in for a hug. “Of course, mon amour.”
Yes, he smelled like menthol. Yes, you had a hard time breathing. But he also smelled like cologne. He was warm, and the feeling of his breath down the side of your neck made you shiver. A thought came into your mind for a split second—what would it be like to taste the cigarette, if you were to press your lips to his own?
It’s a fine line between love and hate, after all.

This might be an odd request, but could you please write a Loki x disabled!reader fic where the reader has Functional Neurologic Disorder and is having a really bad brain fog day? Like they can’t remember what someone two seconds ago kinda bad? I know it’s very specific but I never get to see my disability portrayed anywhere so I thought I’d give it a shot. Thanks for your consideration❤️
Don't Forget
Pairing: Loki x female/disabled reader (Y/N) - established relationship
Summary: You and Loki have been together just over a year and you moved into his apartment three weeks ago. He has been on a mission for the last five days and you are determined to make his homecoming special since it is the first time he's been away since you started living together. Unfortunately, you've been so busy and stressed trying to get things ready that you're FND symptoms become worse and you worry they will ruin your plans.
Background Info: Female reader has Functional Neurologic Disorder (FND) with the following symptoms - numbness / temporary paralysis in legs which requires the intermittent use of a wheelchair, light sensitivity, heat intolerance and memory issues. I know that these are not all of the symptoms of FND and there are several types and degrees of severity but these are the symptoms I included based on the request.
A/N: @fallingfastfailingfaster thank you so much for this request! I really really hope you like it! 💚💚
Tumblr media
You turn off your alarm and reach over for Loki but his side of the bed is still empty. You sigh but quickly remember he will finally be home later today. A smile spreads across your lips, it's been five lonely nights and you can't wait to see him again.
You throw off your sheets and realize, much to your disappointment, that you can't feel your legs. They are completely numb and unresponsive when you try to move them. The muscles in your legs had been weak last night but you hoped they would be better this morning even though you know that isn't how it works. You groan as you sit up, today is not the day you want to deal with this. You reach for your wheelchair which thankfully you placed nearby last night and transfer yourself before heading out of the bedroom.
You roll into the living area and turn the lights on then quickly turn them off again as they instantly hurt your eyes. They seem far too bright this morning so you decide you'll just have to do without them. Pulling open the curtains instead, you let the morning light in then head to the kitchen to make yourself some coffee because coffee makes everything better.
When you roll over the threshold into the kitchen you pause. The green glow of Loki's seidr travels through the kitchen and you smile, watching it transform the room. The base cabinets become shorter, enabling the countertops and appliances to lower to an accessible height. The sink cabinet reconfigures so you can roll your chair under it to use it better. All of the handles on the upper cabinets lower so you can reach them without stretching as far, they already have a shelf system which allows you to pull them down so you can grab what you need.
You sit back while the kitchen renovates itself and remember the first morning after you moved in with Loki.
-----------------------------------
You needed to use your wheelchair since you were exhausted from moving and he was shocked by how difficult it was for you to use the kitchen. He asked if you would prefer he had the kitchen adjusted by Stark's team of contractors but you told him no.
"You're too tall to use the kitchen if you lower everything so I can use it," you told him as you struggled to reach the toaster which was pushed against the back splash.
He moved it towards you then smirked, "You figured out my master plan."
You laughed and said, "I forgot who I was talking to for a minute. What master plan does the great God of Mischief have now?"
"To avoid doing the dishes ever again by making it nearly impossible for me to use the kitchen properly," he chuckled. He leaned down and kissed your cheek lightly.
You shook your head but couldn't hide your smile, telling him, "That is a horrible plan."
You reminded him that you wouldn't always need to use your wheelchair so redoing the kitchen permanently might not be very helpful to either of you. He had thought it over for a few hours, digging through some of his old books before he finally found a spell he could adjust slightly for the perfect solution.
-----------------------------------
You reach the coffeemaker easily and turn it on then go back to your bedroom to get dressed for work. Half an hour later you pick up your bag from the coffee table and head to the front door. Your attention catches on the small sign you hung by the door. One of your oldest friends gave it to you as a joke when you moved in.
"Keys," you say out loud as you jingle them in your hand. "Wallet, phone, tablet," you read off the next items as you double check your bag on your lap. "Coffee," you read the next item, "Ahh crap!" You return to the kitchen to find your coffee lukewarm at best, still sitting in the coffeemaker. You sigh and check the clock on the stove, thankfully you still have enough time to make a second cup.
You put a lid on the cold coffee and place it in the fridge, deciding you'll have ice coffee tomorrow. You grab a post-it note from the side of the fridge and write 'ice coffee' in large letters hoping you'll see it when you are getting ready tomorrow. You put it between the note reminding you to pick up the cupcakes at 2PM and a picture of you and Loki in the park.
You smile at the picture, it was one of the first you took together when you started dating just over a year ago. Your memory for little daily tasks may be worse than terrible some days but thankfully you could remember every second you spent with him.
You pull yourself away from the memory and head towards the door again, ready to leave for work. Reaching for the knob, you suddenly you remember why you had gone back into the kitchen in the first place and rub your temples in annoyance. You head back to the kitchen and sit in front of the coffeemaker, afraid if you look away for even a second you will forget it once more.
Tumblr media
You head straight to Agent Hill's office when you get to the floor where you with. You remind her that you will only be working until noon since Loki is arriving around 4PM.
"Are you sure you want to work today?" she asks, looking at your chair and not you. "If you're not feeling well, you can take the day off."
"I'm fine," you assure your boss. If you took off every day you didn't feel 100%, you would work around five days a year.
"You have plenty of sick time," she continues to insist you aren't well enough to work. You fight to not roll your eyes, just because you needed help getting around today didn't mean you were suddenly incapable of working.
"I told you, I'm fine," you repeat, keeping your voice even. Before she can respond, you take your tablet out of your bag and ask her, "You need the paperwork for case file X-176 and H-778 today right? The rest can wait until tomorrow, I think." You check your notes to make sure you get all your work in before you need to leave for the day.
"Yes, just those two files," she answers. "But like I said, if you need the day-"
"I'll have them to you soon," you promise then turn your chair away from her, not allowing room for her to make another comment.
You sigh when you close the door but only a second later you run into another annoying problem. Steve and Sam are walking down the hall in the direction of your office and you know the second you make eye contact with Steve what he is going to do.
"Good morning, Y/N," he says in his typically cheerful voice as he grabs onto the handles of your wheelchair.
"Hi Steve, hi Sam," you greet them both. "You don't need to do that," you tell Steve for the hundredth time.
"Its not a problem," he answers then continues his conversation with Sam as if you are simply an object he is moving. You know he means well but every time he does this, your mind returns to a post you saw on Pinterest a few years ago. It showed how to install small plastic spikes onto your handles so people can't just grab them and push you around. Nothing made you feel less independent then having someone just roll you around without even interacting with you.
Thankfully Loki never does that. He always asks if you want or need his help before touching your chair, he has never assumed you can't do things by yourself. He knows you are fiercely independent and he always supports you, it is one of the many, many things you love about him.
Tumblr media
You rest your head on one hand with your elbow on the desk, hoping your headache will go away before Loki gets home. It started pounding as soon as you closed the door to your office this morning and hasn't let up.
Your office is the same temperature as always but you fell like it is ninety degrees. You drink another sip of water and close your eyes for a moment, feeling your heart beating faster. Wiping away a bit of sweat from your forehead, you ask J.A.R.V.I.S what the temperature in the room is for the fifth or sixth time. Again, it tells you the room is seventy degrees but your body doesn't believe it. You roll to the window near your desk and open it as much as you can reach to try and let the breeze in.
Your alarm goes off a half an hour later and you look at it curiously, wondering why you set it. When you check the message attached to the alarm you smile, your done for the day finally and Loki will be back in a few hours. You check your email for a third time to make sure you sent Agent Hill the two case files that were due today and shut down your computer.
Thankfully your memory issues weren't an issue when it came to doing your work today. You had notes and reminders all over your desk and computer so you wouldn't miss a step. Loki had suggested you write out your whole process one day when your memory wasn't so foggy and it was incredibly helpful for days like today.
You leave your office and make your way back to your apartment, luckily avoiding Steve or anyone else who wanted to be helpful. You decide to get changed quick before heading out to run your errands, the final task of the day is to pick up the cupcakes you ordered.
Loki has a substantial sweet tooth and the bakery you ordered from is special to you both. It was only a few blocks from the Tower and it was his favorite one in the city. He had taken you there after you saw a movie on your first date, sharing pastries and talking until closing. You surprised Loki with a treat from there a few weeks later when he came back from a short mission to Russia. It quickly become a tradition, whenever Loki came home after being away for a week or longer, you would pick up something for him from there.
He would sometimes bring you one of your favorite pastries and a small bunch of flowers when you were having an especially rough time with your FND. You really appreciated the way he would try and make you smile no matter how badly you were feeling.
Even though Loki had been gone less than a week, you still wanted to surprise him tonight. Since it was the first time he had left since you moved in together, it felt like something you wanted to celebrate. You had planned on making a home cooked meal as well. It was hard not to laugh at how eloquently he complained about the food SHIELD provided when he was on a mission.
Tumblr media
You get off the bus at the grocery store and try not to be too annoyed. It is always such a pain to take public transportation with your wheelchair but what was really bothering you was that you should have done this errand already. You had meant to grocery shop two days ago, when you had the day off from work but you got distracted doing your laundry and other things. By the time you remembered that you were supposed to pick up the ingredients to make dinner, it was too late to go out.
You wait on the long line with your basket of groceries resting on your lap, thinking about the last time you came shopping here with Loki.
-----------------------------------
"No, that one," you giggled and pointed to the cereal on the very top shelf.
"This one specifically?" he asked and you nodded when he grabed the box without having to stretch at all.
"You are so useful," you told him when he added it to the cart he was pushing. You rolled next to him down the aisle.
"I knew you were only keeping me around because of my height," he joked then kissed the top of your head.
"Its not the only reason," you smiled up at him. "But it's definitely on the list."
"Speaking of," he paused. "Is this everything that was on the list?"
"I'm not sure," you admitted with a frown when you glanced into the partially full cart. You had left the list on the kitchen counter with your reusable bags, of course.
He took your hand and said, "Take your time."
You bit your lip and looked at the cart, trying to compare it to the list you had written while eating breakfast. "Something is missing," you felt sure of it. Loki stood quietly with you, not rushing you while you thought. "Eggs," you looked up at him excitedly when it finally popped into your head.
He smiled, "To the eggs." He followed you to the back of the store, as he had three times previously that trip, never once complaining.
-----------------------------------
You smile to yourself, still thinking about Loki, as the line finally moves. He is one of the few people you know who has never made you feel stupid or annoying for not being able to remember things. You told him once when you first started dating that you couldn't stand it when people treated you as if you weren't smart because of your memory issues and it hurt. Since then, he has always encouraged you to find the missing piece yourself first and only fills in the blanks if you ask him to.
Tumblr media
You put the finishing touches on the lasagna and slide into the oven as your phone chimes on the counter. You pick it up and see a text from Loki telling you he's back. The smile on your face fades quickly as you realize this means you had lost track of time. You had hoped to meet him at the landing pad, you wanted to see him the minute he was home. Apparently you set up your alarm to remind you to go down and meet him, but you forgot to turn it on.
A few minutes later you hear the front door unlock and you wheel yourself into the living area to greet him. He opens the door and immediately bends down to kiss you, wrapping you in a tight hug. When he finally releases you from his hold he smiles and says, "I've missed you so much."
"I missed you too," you look up at him, you couldn't be happier to have him home.
He walks back towards the door to hang up his bag then turns on the lights without thinking. You instantly raise your hand to cover your eyes and look down as the over head light feels painfully bright. "I'm sorry," he says quickly, noticing your discomfort. He comes to your side and waves his hand, dimming the lights. "Tell me when it is okay, sweetheart," he says.
You lower your hand slightly and when it no longer hurts you tell him, "That's perfect, thanks."
He kisses your cheek and then asks, "How you are feeling?" He moves towards the couch and you follow him.
"Have the lights been bothering you all day as well?" his tone is a mixture of concern and curiosity.
"I'm fine," you answer but he raises his eyebrow and tilts his head, you know he wants the truth and not what you tell everyone else. You admit you are having a rough day, "When I woke up I couldn't use my legs at all and my memory is absolutely gone today."
You push yourself onto the couch next to Loki and he shifts so his arm is around you. "Yeah, I didn't even turn them on what I got to my office. It felt like the room was on fire today too, it gave me such a headache," you tell him.
"I'm sorry you didn't feel well today," he runs his fingers through your hair slowly. "Have you been pushing yourself too hard?" he asks and you shrug, not looking at him. "I know you want to do everything but you need to remember to rest." You nod and he pulls you closer.
Tumblr media
"-and then I told Thor that if he wasn't on the jet in the next two minutes, I was going to have them take off without him," Loki chuckles.
"You did not threaten to leave your brother in Siberia," you put your hand over your mouth.
"I had been away from you long enough," he smiles and you lean towards him, kissing his cheek. His smiles vanishes and he looks into the kitchen, "Is something burning?"
You turn to look towards the kitchen, "Oh no! Did I forget to set the timer?"
He gets up quickly and shuts off the oven before opening it and freeing a cloud of black smoke. Your heart sinks as you get back in your chair and go to the kitchen. He puts the charred remains of your lasagna in the sink and waves off the smoke so the fire alarm doesn't go off.
"I can't believe I ruined it," you look down.
Loki kneels in front of you and touches your shoulder gently, "I'm sorry, I know how hard you worked on that." You fight to hold back tears and he says, "It's okay, darling. We can order take out tonight, have a bit of dessert and watch a movie. This weekend you can show me how you make your famous lasagna."
All of a sudden you feel a tightness in your chest, "I forgot to go to the bakery." You begin to lose the battle to hold back your tears. "I burnt dinner, I messed up getting a dessert, I couldn't even get myself together to go down and see you when you got off the jet," you look down as the first tear slips down your cheek. "I wanted to make your first homecoming since we moved in together special but it's ruined because of my stupid, useless memory," you cry.
He leans towards you and you wrap your arms around him, resting your face on his shoulder. He rubs your back slowly and quietly says, "My homecoming is not ruined." You look at him and he smiles, wiping the tears from your cheeks. "I can't tell you how loved it makes me feel knowing how much effort you put into tonight," he tells you.
"Even if it was a total disaster?" you ask.
"Even then," he risks his answer and you breath a small laugh. "I know you are upset about dinner and dessert, but I'm just glad to be home with you." You nod and lock eyes with Loki, he smiles and strokes your cheek gently. "Your memory is..."
"Garbage?" you suggest.
"I was going to say 'not the best'," he shakes his head but you smile a bit.
"But garbage works," you joke, feeling slightly better.
"Will you be quiet and let me try to be romantic for a moment?" he laughs and you pretend to zip your mouth closed. He sighs and starts again, "Your memory is not the best, we can both agree on that, but I never want you to forget how much I love you. You are smart and beautiful and strong, pushing through each day even when you are in pain or your body fights you. You are the most amazing woman in the nine realms and I am so lucky to be able to call you mine."
You smile as Loki talks and when he finishes you pull him to you, kissing him deeply. "I love you too," you tell him. After a moment, he sits back and you wipe away the last remaining tears.
"I have an idea," he says. "I think you need more triggers for your memory."
"What do you mean?" you ask.
He points over your shoulder towards the door as he answers, "You haven't forgotten your keys once since you put that up."
"That was just a joke," you tell him.
"But it works," he responds.
Tumblr media
You sit on the couch as Loki unpacks the Chinese takeout onto the coffee table. "Are you sure you're okay with doing all of this to your apartment?" you ask when he hands you a pair of chopsticks.
"Y/N, this is your home now too," he reminds you gently. "I want you to feel comfortable here and I want it to work for you, however you need it to." You kiss his cheek and he smiles.
After the two of you finish eating, you begin thinking of ways to adjust your new home to suit you better. Loki asks J.A.R.V.I.S to reprogram all of the lights to be on dimmer settings so you can still use them when you're light sensitivity is acting up. He has the program automatically ask you to set timers or reminders for all of the appliances in the kitchen, including the coffeemaker. A few hours later, you are both tired and decide any other changes can be made in the morning or as you think of them.
He helps you into bed and you push yourself onto his chest so he can hold you. He runs his fingers up and down your back lightly and you close your eyes. "I'm so glad your home," you tell him in a quiet voice.
"So am I," he replies, kissing your forehead. "Don't forget, I love you."

You know how there are those rare occasions when Batman will team up with a villain?
Can you imagine how funny it would be if during those team ups that specific rogue gets an insider look at how the Batfamily operates/interacts with each other?
I feel like it'd be like those situations where you're at a friend's house and said friend starts arguing with their parent and you're just stuck there like "🧍‍♂️" except in this case, it's just everyone arguing with everyone.
The team-up would be going well at first but then all it takes is one snide remark from one batkid for chaos to unfold.
Suddenly it's like a bomb has been set off, triggering a cascade of catastrophes. Red Robin and Robin are screaming at each other, knives are thrown, someone is crying, out of NOWHERE the Red Hood comes in and shoots Batman's kneecaps, which, hello?? where did he even come from?? Isn't he on the their side?? Did the Signal just jump off the building without a grapple gun?? Nightwing is trying to calm everyone down, no one listens to him, and Red Robin has just launched Robin off the side of the building like a football.
Everything is hell, Batman has three batarangs lodged in his armor and has lost all motor functions below his knees but has not said a single word throughout it all.
The Red Hood has just rigged the building they are standing atop of with bombs. The mission is never completed.
The rogue decides to never step foot in Gotham ever again.
Bonus:
This is also how that same villain discovers the batfam's identity: They see one interview with all the Waynes together, watches how one small thing sets off all the children to start outright attacking each other, notices how vaguely familiar all of this is..
and the rogue is just sat there, mouth open, squinting at the interview clip like "No fucking way"

PLEASE WRITE MORE YANDERE MIGUEL OHARA IM BEGGING UUUU
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Warnings: yandere behavior, talks about kidnapping, venom, and yelling.
A/N: Sure :). After you guys voted and been sending asks, you deserve it. Enjoy this anon ;)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This spider of a yandere would be a mess. He’s overprotective. Easily jealous and aggressive. Controlling, and, a helicopter of a guy who hovers behind you like a guard dog.
It doesn’t matter if you are a Spiderperson, a normal individual walking into the street, or a trustworthy friend he met through Jessica, hell you could be a reincarnation of his wife. But, the minute he catches his obsession with you, and he finally realizes it, he’s not letting you go.
His obsession for you starts to unwrap the second he realizes he’s in love again. He slowly starts to get more unhinged, more of an aggressive wreck that causes everyone to walk on their tippy toes.
Everything is wrong. The missions go wrong. He can’t focus. You’re irritating in his presence. But he hates seeing you hurt. Everything is angering him, making him grumble and yell out in anger. But the second you come into the room? He’s suddenly calmer, almost like a switch had been turned off. Miguel always screams for people to leave, but he demands you to be near him, telling everyone, including yourself: you are more useful than the others.
By the time you realize he has feelings for you, you’re too late for escaping his webs. You can’t be saved, not by anyone. Nobody can stop Spider-Man 2099; the man himself of strength and dedication. Slowly, but surely, you’ll understand his ways. Someday, you’ll understand why he did this; realize his intentions of only protecting you.
He’s incredibly good at hiding, especially when looking out for you. Miguel likely will kidnap you when you least expect him. I mean, it’s so easy for him. Not only is it planned to be a perfect T, but he makes sure everything runs smoothly, making sure you fall into his perfect spider web as you’ve always meant to.
Weeks before you even realize his feelings, he’s stalking you. Following and memorizing all your schedules, habits, and routes. Miguel knows how your brain works, all the functions and wiring, he can read you like an open book. He can see and sense the way you think, the way you talk, your body language that shows how happy or nervous you are. He knows it all.
Likewise, he’ll make you come out to meet up with him, either on a ‘planned mission’ with just the two of you or making you meet up with him at HQ; stating something serious needs to be discussed. Either way, you are meeting up with him and clearly nervous. Every possibility is running through your head as you approach him.
But, when approaching him with a wide smile, it’s soon wiped off your face, seeing his stoned-cold face that seems too familiar. His eyes are cold and calculating, his mouth wrenched into a slight frown. Something was off. Maybe too off. Did you do something?
Of course, you ask what’s wrong. But he stays quiet. Too quiet for your liking. But, he walks up to you, his heart beating faster – hands shaking and body sweating. But, his eyes softened, almost like something or someone made his life complete. His hands reached up to your shoulders, keeping a rough but comfortable enough grip; his claws seemingly coming out, making your shoulder throb in irritation, but you ignored it.
He sighed, but soon went on about ‘keeping you safe’. For your safety, the dimension that you were in possibly already falling, you two belong together. You’re meant to be with him, swearing he’ll keep you safe – make you feel at home with him. Before you could even react, his fangs showed themselves, a slight hiss enveloping as they dug themselves into your neck; your body immediately turning into jello, feeling blood tinkle down your neck. It hurt. But not as bad as being betrayed.
You couldn’t speak. Not without stuttering, you couldn’t see well either, everything was multiplying in your vision. Your body felt like a million pounds. You couldn’t stand well, you were swaying back and forth, trying to hold your weight but to no avail, you fell back.
Of course, Miguel caught you. His giant hands catching you, and hosting you up in his arms; a gentle peck on your cheek as you sluggishly pestered him with questions; falling in and out of consciousness. But they were soon drowned out by his answer: “I’m taking you to our home. Rest, Cariño. I’ll take care of you.”
From then on, Miguel promises that. He will and can take care of you. Better than anyone else. He’s taking you to your new room; somewhere only he knows, a place he can be certain that’s heavily protected and away from any danger. An area where he and you can be spouses to one of each other.
When waking up, you quickly realize you are put into a ridiculously comfortable bed. A room full of things that anyone would dream of. Most of the items that you had back at home are already collected and put on the shelves; a backpack beside your bed. Everything in the bedroom is fancy, a huge TV on the wall which was in front of you, a corner full of blankets and pillows, and a bookshelf full of all types of books. It was clear he loves you. But, let’s not forget about the camera in the corner of the ceiling.
He doesn’t trust you. At least not yet. The entire house is baby-proofed, everything you can think of about hurting yourself is covered up. Of course, you’re allowed to roam the shared house when he’s gone, but don’t think he’s not watching – not only are there cameras in every corner of the house, but there’s a built-in speaker somewhere in every single room.
Miguel puts a tracker into you whilst you’re asleep. It’s in the back of your neck, especially where you can’t see or feel it. But, he knows your location 24/7; something he gladly likes to know.
Following his strict rules is something he expects. He awaits for you to be the perfect beloved he’s always imagined. He has the perfect image of a family he wants to create. And if it’s shattered or ruined? He gets very, very angry. Which isn’t pretty.
Breaking the rules isn’t something you’d want to do. Miguel will be angry, incredibly angry. If and when he gets an alert of you being gone, rewinding the video of how you escaped, he’s fuming with rage. The minute you think you’ve gotten away, he’s right behind you – his dark eyes narrowing at you as he snarls, harshly grabbing you and scolding at how stupid and childish you are.
Punishments are harsh. While he does mean business, and he does love you, but that doesn’t mean he’s not afraid to put you in your needed place. The punishments will and can vary with his mood, it especially adds up with what you did.
If he’s in a better mood, at best, you’ll get a loud scolding or a few hours locked into the bedroom with nothing fun to do; awaiting his arrival again to ask if your tantrum is over.
Though, if he’s not in a very good mood, Miguel… is more prone to accidentally hurting you. Regardless if you are throwing insults or directly trying to attack him, he’s impulsively grabbing your wrist which leads to a sprain, or yells at you to an extent where you flinch and sob. He apologizes, his fingers pinching the bridge of his nose as he softly whispers, ‘I wish you’d just listen to me’. Of course, when you cry, he comforts you. But it’s your fault, right? So, why don’t you listen?
Miguel is a man of many things, but patience is not one. If none of these end up working, he’s going to aggressively twist your feelings and thoughts around; constantly reminding you that he can always treat you worse. Or, threaten your family, possibly take away all the things you had joy in, and practically leave all types of bruises on your body from sfw and nsfw activities.
It is your decision after all, correct? Just spare yourself some nasty scars and play nice.
The ‘worst’ punishment he will do is accidentally causing a broken bone or drugging you with his venom, making you rely on him even more. With your slurring words and slightly limp-like body, he’s able to do what he can to help you: bathing you, feeding you, tucking you into bed with him as he whispers all types of things. Before turning off the lights, he always makes sure to kiss your cheek, a small ‘love you’ before cuddling you closer to his chest to sleep.
He’s not afraid of getting rid of people, especially if they’re in his way. No matter how messy it gets, Miguel is always ready to protect you; even if it means seeing tears come down. He will kill your family members, any partners, and the next-door neighbor that constantly tried to get into your pants.
Once you feel comfortable receiving affection, his way of showing it is quite off and almost uncomfortable. While he yearns for your touch, your kisses, and your hugs. Everything that he wants. It’s just for him, showing affection is fairly hard. After his past, he couldn’t imagine a world where he’d be happy again; feeling the same happiness and anxious butterflies in his stomach.
Slowly, but surely, he learns what he likes and what you like – which results in him being a cuddle bug. He loves smothering you in his arms, making you sit on his lap as he tells you about his day. Anything and everything results from his arms being around, on, or around you.
Of course, he spoils you like no other. Whatever you request, he will bring you; with you following his rules and being nice, he’s happier than ever. Though, he does expect a kiss from the gratitude he decided to do for you.
You will not be allowed outside. On rare occasions, such as your birthday or having a good attitude, he’ll allow you to eat with him at a pleasant restaurant or go to the park with him. But that’s all you are getting. And no, he will not let you come to the HQ.

All of the Wayne kids’ favorite Leaguers: True and Real and Accurate
Dick: Wonder Woman! Bear with me. Please. I think Superman was his favorite BEFORE he met Clark. Once he learned how big of a dork he was, the magic was sort of lost, doubly so when Clark became his unofficial stepdad. Diana? She stayed cool. Not to mention that in his Robin days, she often humored whatever hare-brained impulses he’d get. Please picture Batman’s bewildered expression when he finds Dick dangling from the Watchtower light fixture he specifically designed to be impossible for him to reach. Diana just, -shrug- “He said please.” You threw him Diana. You threw that child. She’d probably still throw him if he asked nicely, hell, she’d probably do it even before he has to ask. It’s ‘Boy Wonder’, not ‘Boy Bat’.
Jason: Black Canary. ‘Wonder Woman is Jason’s fav’ believers PLEASE hear me out. I think that Diana is Jason’s favorite in a ‘celebrity crush’ way, but Dinah is Jason’s favorite in a ‘cool aunt’ way. He met her unofficially at the Watchtower, but actually started hanging out with her thanks to Roy. They both like motorcycles and kicking ass, plus Young Justice having Canary as a therapist melds well with my vision of her helping Jason heal. And I think she’s used to yelling at Bruce on Oliver’s behalf, so it’s no big to do it on Jason’s too.
Tim: The Flash! If Dinah is the cool aunt, Barry is the cool uncle. Guy that shows up at the function with all the best snacks. He might eat half of them himself but damn if he didn’t bring them. In all seriousness, Tim saw pretty great merit in knowing a forensics guy that he can basically talk to anytime he’s stumped with a case without having to go through the “sorry to wake you” song and dance. Barry occasionally gets unhinged texts that are in the vein of “hey can you go about ten minutes back in time and tell past me about _____”. They’re usually pretty low stakes but sometimes there’s just a “got stabbed, do-over?” jumpscare sprinkled in. Bruce will never ever get shit from Barry about kid troubles. That man is a saint in Flash’s eyes.
Cass: Captain Marvel. She didn’t like him at all during their first meeting. For a person that’s good at reading body language, I imagine that seeing genuinely childish behavior on a grown man would be giving some crazy mixed signals. Once she learns that his powers are magic in origin rather than being alien or meta, her mind opens up a little more to the possibility that his exterior appearance might not be indicative of his actual identity. Cass guesses his age by their next proper meeting and makes it her business to keep an eye on him, always asking Bruce about him after he returns from League missions. Your honor, that 7’5” brick wall Champion of Magic is actually just Cass’ little buddy. She’s gonna get him some ice cream or something.
Steph: Green Lantern. Hal and Barry are like uncles, except if Barry is the cool one, Hal is the cringe one. Lucky for Hal, being a boyfailure is a good way to amuse Steph. Those two are gonna spend hours arguing with Bruce just for the hell of it, backing each other up on completely incorrect claims (Steph does it because it’s funny, Hal does it because he believes her). He does get bonus points for bringing her cool space snacks whenever he comes back from trips off-world. One of her favorite foods is a sort of hi-chew/gum thing from some other planet in Sector 2418 that doesn’t dissolve or lose its flavor, even after chewing it for days on end.
Damian: Aquaman. He’s a king. Like, an actual king. And he can communicate with fish. Arthur heard about Damian’s temper from the rest of the Leaguers and straight up does not believe it because every time he’s spoken to Damian, it’s been “hello your majesty can you introduce me to an octopus I have a few questions for it”. This one’s short. But I feel it speaks for itself.
Duke: Superman. Clark was NOT told about Signal taking up the day shift in Gotham until he was flying in to compare notes (read: flirt), with Bruce and met Duke when they both went to intercept a carjacking. Clark tries to be responsible like “I feel obligated to let you know that Batman doesn’t take kindly to metas in his city”, only for Duke to point at the big ol bat on his chest. After that, Duke usually intercepts Big Blue’s flight path anytime he comes into Gotham and the two just kind of hang out and shoot the shit while he does his patrol. Duke is also a little bit stoked to be regularly hanging out with The Superman, but even after the awe wears off, he can’t help but still think of Clark as just a cool, friendly guy. He gets someone to share the airspace with, Clark gets a bat he can stay in the sun with, it’s a win/win all around. Congrats Clark, you got one.

Someone once told you that, even when something slips your mind, trust that it will find its way back to you. You always deemed this true, everything always sought out to swivel into your prosperity no matter how impossible you thought it to be.
It was like you were a ladybug, always lucky. Well, you'd like to think that was the case, in reality it wasn't even close. The past few months were hell. Not only for you, but for your best friend Peter Parker.
He had to deal with the heavy weight instantaneously put upon his shoulders. The consequence of figuring out how to live a life he wrestled so hard to keep private. You knew Peter thought the burden of the entire world perceiving his double life drained him completely. It was not as if he had cut everyone who already knew of him being Spider-Man out his life, no, if anything it only made him want to protect them more.
The hardship the poor boy went through in just the last few months made your heart ache, knowing how difficult it was for him to function without the help of his mentor. You reached out to Peter every single day, making sure he remembered there were people who cared for him and he could turn to.
As for you, being a friend of Spider-Man (or as Ned likes to say, "F.O.S") is a tough task. The stares you received not only in school, but in public were haunting. You knew everyone was judging you for being involved with who they believed was a murderer. It was nauseating to even think about, because Peter is anything but that. He's kind, caring, and modest. The boy couldn't even kill a fly if the opportunity was presented to him.
No one understood the boy, now that the secret was out. The whole world was against him, or at least majority of the world. Michelle informed you that he didn't really enjoy this particular version of fame he gained, and you couldn't help but agree.
When you heard of Peter's visit with Doctor Strange, you learn he tried in his own way to make things right again. He asked the wizard (who you didn't think was very kind based off your brief interaction with him) to cast a spell that would make the whole world forget he was Spider-Man in hopes that he could reverse what ruined you and your friends' chances of getting into college.
Peter being Peter finds a way to mess it up, which not only decreased his chances of ever having the world forget of his vigilance, but he apparently opened the multiverse. It allowed villains who knew of your friend being Spider-Man from other universes to enter your world, and the entire thing was damn near impossible to believe.
At first, you couldn't wrap your head around anything that was told to you, that was until Peter shows you proof of his encountrment with a man with literal mechanical octopus arms, a dinosaur—or more appropriately, a lizard, a man made of sand, and another one who produced electricity from his body.
Your friend felt responsible to help them. After learning their fates, which meant if he sent any of them back to their respectable worlds, they'd die. It wasn't an ideal situation, and Peter was noble, too noble. He wanted to cure them, to give them a second chance.
Reluctantly, you accepted his wishes of wanting you, MJ, and Ned's help, because he was your friend and if wanting to cure random villains from different universes cleared his mind of the world knowing his second life, then you'd be right by his side.
You thought the whole mission to cure would be an easy task, but you were so, so wrong.
Ned offered you and MJ to stay with him at his Nona's while Peter handled the more difficult part of the curing obstacle, and later that night is where you and your friends discovered the horrible, devastating news.
A anarchic consequence. Looking at the TV where the news played, you absorb the information of May's death. You didn't want to believe the details you consumed, because May was almost like a mother to you, and she loved you as much as she loved Peter. You did not even want to think about what was going through Peter's mind, and you just hope the poor boy was not spiralling.
If you know your best friend, you know that when he spirals, he often isolates himself from everyone and everything. It's a habit you wish he would break, but you suppose anything as heart aching as losing your mother like figure, the choice of isolation is certainly necessary.
You and MJ argue with Ned of wanting to find Peter, making sure he was okay. Before the two of you could walk out the door, Ned reveals that he was in possession of Doctor Strange's sling ring Peter had given him. He concocted the idea that with the ring, it would be easier to find Peter.
Sharing a look with MJ, you shrug and allow Peter's other best friend to give his idea a shot.
However, when Ned tries to use the ring and concentrates on wanting to find Peter, he finds two older versions of him.
You were in utter awe at this revelation. Two other variants of your best friend almost felt like a dream you could not wake up from.
Eventually after what seemed forever you finally find your Peter, on the roof of your school. When you hug him, immediately engulfing him in your warmth, he breaks down in your arms. It broke your heart, to see Peter so dejected. You wanted to take the pain away. Wanted to remind him that no matter what, you would be there.
The two other Peter's connect and share similar experiences, and encourage your friend to continue fighting.
After the words of encouragement, a new plan came about and Peter, you and your friends team up with the two other world Spider-Men to develop a more strategized cure for the villains.
Finally, you were all lead to the final confrontation at the Statue of Liberty, which is being renovated into Caption America's shield, in honour of him you assume.
MJ, Ned and yourself manage to help Peter cure the multiverse villains, but not without obvious obstacles. The difficult of such tasks lead to an almost devastating conclusion. The last villain, being the Green Goblin was twisted, wicked even. You pursued that he was the reason for May's life being taken. In the final moments of the battle, the Green Goblin's aggression reaches its peak.
His aggressive tactics, throwing pumpkin bombs and using his glider caused a significant amount of damage to the structure of the Statue of Liberty. Almost concluded in the death of your friend MJ. Thankfully the second eldest Peter caught your friend in time, but unfortunately for you as the structure falls, along with the shield, so do you.
Death for you, never was a thing you'd think about too often. Sometimes maybe a second thought, but not mindful enough to be taken serious. Sure, you wondered what it would feel like, or even be. Once you die, would you fall into an endless sleep, or would you see nothing forever? As you fell, death was all you could think about, of course. You hope once you reach the bottom of your fate, you wouldn't have to feel the pain and the demise would swallow you right away. You also hoped that Peter somehow, once you were gone, knew how much he meant to you. Knew how much you loved him as more than a friend.
As cliche as it is to be in love with your best friend, you fantasized the intention of being with him no matter how hard you didn't want to, knowing you shouldn't be allowed to even feel as much love for him as you did.
Deep down, you knew Peter deserves to be loved, and you were glad he found it within you, platonically. You could die happy with that acknowledgement.
Before the dark angel could even reach its hand out to you, you drop into familiar arms. Peter quickly swings you to the now fallen shield, holding you as you register the last thirty seconds, the cogs turning in your brain. You stare at your friend like a deer in headlights as he carefully puts you down.
Surely you thought death was on the doorstep.
"Are you okay?" He asks, his gaze carefully supervising your every move.
You nod your response as you look around, allowing your heavy breathing to mellow out.
"I thought—" You start as Peter steps closer.
"I know, I know. You're okay." He reassures, and you examine him, noticing his right eye. Blood invaded around his pupil and you scan the rest of his features, the identical crimson red colour decorated his face as well as a few bruises.
You hug the boy without a second thought, and in turn he accepts.
When Peter pulls away, you feel the word vomit take over you, and you open your mouth to say something.
Before the words you so desperately wanted to say could leave you, you glance behind Peter at the man responsible for May's death, a shiver running down your spine when as you feel a almost sinister shift in the air overtake.
Peter taking notice of your expression turns around in confusion.
It was almost uncanny, frightening and astonishing how swiftly you watch Peter's mood change from concern to instant anger. Not the typical anger someone feels, no, you could practically endure his revise. The boy looked murderous. The switch being so drastically different to the Peter you thought you knew made you question if you even knew him at all.
This was the same Peter Parker who you believed would never hurt a fly, the same Peter Parker who did not even want to idealize the concept of murder. Yet, here he was standing in front of you with a rage so intense, you step back in fear of what was to come.
"Poor Peter. Too weak to send me home to die." The Green Goblin grin was troublesome as he spoke.
"No," You friend starts. "I just wanna kill you myself." Peter's was raspy and low with anger.
“Attaboy.” The man grinned.
Enraged, Peter rushes at the Green Goblin, and boy do they clash. Your eyes widen at the scene taking place in front of you. The spider-boy pummels him with a murderous intensity. The Goblin breaks free, releasing his arm blades and swings them at your friend.
You gasp in horror, completely frozen. Watching such an extreme unfold before you was mind boggling, and the thoughts creeping in your head made you want to try and do something, but what could you do? Peter had the upper hand and it was brutal, so of course you were stuck in place out of fear.
Peter batters the Goblin until he's down on his knees, and unfortunately for the villain more barrage of punches given from the boy are received and the Goblin collapses to the ground, spent.
The fearsome inside of you increased and for some reason, tears threatened your eyes. You never really were a crier, but watching your best friend lay into Goblin, who took punch after punch caused unwanted emotions to course through you. You were so beyond scared at the person you swore you understood.
Observing the Goblin carefully, you don't realize your Peter grab the villain's glider, which was crashed at the base of the shield.
He drifts towards the Goblin, murder in his eyes, lifting the glider over his head and you register the fact that he had no intentions of coming to his senses.
Peter screams, unrelenting, about to bring the gleaming blade down on the helpless villain.
"Peter—" You cry as the much older version of himself steps in front of your Peter, a pleading look on his face, one you recognize.
Slowly, your friend snaps out of his angry, murderous intentions and relaxes. You observe the wordless understanding between the two Peter Parkers.
Shunk.
The familiar welch of skin being stabbed fills your ears, and the oldest Peter's face falls.
A grimace etches on your face, watching the Goblin stab the elder Spider-Man in the back.
The pumpkin bomb throwing villain staggers upright as his victim falls before him, clearly eager for more. He glances at you, and you take a unconscious step back, despite being at a safe distance already.
You could tell the man was taunting Peter as he looks over at him again.
"She was there because of you." The Goblin smiles, and Peter faces him, eyes narrowing.
"I may have struck the blow, but you." He laughs. "You are the one that killed her." The goblin cackles with glee at his own words.
You gaze at Peter just in time, eyeing as the second oldest version of himself throws the Goblin's cure, your Peter grabs it and briskly stabs the cackling villain in the neck. You watch the man stagger, shocked and in pain.
You breathe a sigh of relief.
Goblin falls back on his haunches, then a glint of recognition settles within him.
"Peter?" Norman stares at your friend in confusion as his eyes drift down to an injured version of your Peter, and if you didn't know any better, the look on his face seemed almost remorseful.
"What have I done?"
Eventually after all villains are cured, you step back to let your friend have his heart to heart moment with the other versions of himself. The only thing you wanted to do was search for MJ and Ned, hoping them to be okay.
However, your thought train is interrupted as your friend approaches you.
"I have a plan," Is the first thing he says to you once he's close.
"You have a plan?" You furrow your eyebrows.
Peter nods and he stares at you for a good while and he clears his throat.
"The sky—" He cuts himself off and you drag your gaze to the purple cracks in the sky as vague figures catch your attention.
"Are those..." You trail off and look at your defeated friend.
"I'm going to get Doctor Strange to cast another spell." Peter informs you and you're skeptical, but somewhere in your brain you figure it probably has something to do with getting rid of whatever was in the sky.
"Okay." You nod.
Peter sighs and shakes his head, like you were not understanding what it was he was trying to say.
"Don't be mad."
"Why would I be mad?"
"I'm going to ask him to make everyone forget who I am." He says, and you tilt your head in confusion.
"Like the same spell you already tried?" Peter shakes his head at your question and reaches for your hands.
"No, I mean, me. Peter Parker."
You feel your heart drop to your stomach at his words. Still, not completely understanding what it is he was trying to tell you, but if it's what you think it is, you sensed an unfamiliar feeling simmer.
"But that means I would—Ned and MJ." You stare at him in disbelief as he nods.
"I know, but I have to. I can't let anything else get out of control." Peter presses his lips together as he gauges your reaction to his words.
Ultimately, he was right. With the sky purple and cracked, and unwanted figures coming through, it was way out of control. You did not want to forget your friend before you could even confess your feelings for him. But you also did not want any more consequences for him to deal with.
Forgetting him meant forgetting everything you've been through with the boy. You couldn't bare the thought of losing someone you cared so much about. You did not even want to know what it's like to not have Peter in your life, not remembering him.
"I have to find Ned and MJ, to let them know as well." Peter states and you blink back into reality and gaze at him.
It was now or never, you thought.
"I'm in love with you." You blurt and you cringe at the five words and clear your throat before he could even respond. "I just thought you should know." You shrug and confidently never break eye contact with him.
You can tell Peter is racking your words through his brain, and you fear the worst as the silence becomes more prominent.
He mutters your name and pulls a strand of hair behind your ear. You were eager for heartbreak and you knew it didn't matter what his reply would be.
"I want you to know that I feel how you feel too." Peter reassures, and you gaze at him for a long while.
He feels how you feel too.
"And I promise," Peter's eyes never leave yours as he places his hands on both sides of your face. His touch was so gentle and reassuring that whatever he said next, you would believe him.
"I promise once this is all over, I will find you, and tell you everything."
At his words, you hug him, not wanting to let go. You think to yourself and pray his words become true. You did not want to have to live a life without Peter.
Slowly he pulls away, and gives your forehead a kiss, replacing his touch with his own instead.
"I promise." Peter whispers.
Even when something slips your mind, trust that it will find its way back to you. You remind yourself of those words as you replay his promise in your head over and over again.
You remind yourself of those words when Peter swings away to find Ned and MJ.
You remind yourself of those words as you look up into the sky, detecting something so foreign course through you. Your mind alters into a different outlet.
You couldn't remember exactly what you were reminding yourself of, the thought completely lost from your subconscious.

I can't find the post right now because I never bothered to save it like an idiot💀but I came across someone talking about one of Splinter's scenes in New Girl in Town when Leo lets the others handle a mission without him and I wanted to add my two cents.
Tumblr media
Yeah, it seems wrong on the surface for Splinter to say Leo wasn't in a position to decide whether or not he should lead the guys, and it also seems unfair for Splinter to say he should bear the responsibility of leadership instead of shirking it off on Raph out of frustration with his brothers and their lack of appreciation or understanding. It especially may make one think Leo should be allowed to throw a tantrum because leading isn't going how he wants it to, and his brothers should see how it feels to function without him.
But that wasn't the point.
The point was that Leo allowed his brothers to walk off into a dangerous situation without guidance simply because he was tired of going back and forth with Raph and his criticisms.
Mikey and Donnie have their moments too, but in this particular episode, they're in the background as they witness another falling out between their leader and the resident hothead of the family. They didn't ask for Raph to take over, and no sooner than later do they realize Raph didn't know what and all he was signing up for when he freezes up in the middle of the fight. Donnie is the one to formulate a quick plan of action as he snaps Raph back to reality and incapacitates Snakeweed long enough for them to make a swift exit from the hideout, while Mikey remains unconscious for nearly the remainder of the episode due to Raph's poor planning.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And I seriously need to stress what exactly Splinter tells Leo: "Leadership is not about being appreciated. It is about responsibility. It doesn't matter that the burden is heavy. It matters that you carry it. Now go find your brothers."
He never said Leo was wrong for seeking appreciation; in fact, his future words and actions support the guys learning to show appreciation to Leo, and Splinter is understanding everytime Leo expresses his distress over being responsible for his brothers when they love making his job more difficult than it needs to be. But he needed Leo to understand that when it came to completing a mission effectively without unnecessarily endangering each other, appreciation holds little importance in the moment. You can't use appreciation as a deciding factor for whether or not you should let the team fall apart because your younger brother stomped his foot at you for the umpteenth time.
Splinter emphasizes that leadership isn't something to be taken lightly, and Leo needs to realize it's not something you can just pass on when you aren't in the mood to hold it.
Tumblr media
Now, one can argue that it does matter to some extent that the burden of leadership is heavy and their argument would be valid; they're still kids after all and the burden may gain some pounds depending on the situation. That's why a leader leads a team though, so that the weight of that burden can be shared by the members and their efforts when the leader starts to buckle.
But, once again, Splinter is right. It does matter more that Leo carries that burden, or at least the most weight, because he's the leader. Not only are they at a point where Leo is permanently cemented in place as the leader, and things would undoubtedly be shaken up in an undesired manner should he thrust someone else into that position this far in, but his brothers aren't entirely cut out for leadership. Planning ahead doesn't come easy to Raph, Donnie gets tunnel vision and misses details that would be obvious otherwise, and Mikey doesn't always think his actions through before doing them (a bit of blind faith if you will). That's not to say they can't defy the odds at times, but in the grand scheme of things, they function much better as a team with a leader, and Leo functions much better as a leader with a team.
Team building exercises aside, the way Splinter speaks and phrases things gives the same vibes as a parent telling their child not to make a habit out of something they shouldn't be doing. He was evidently upset with Leo for allowing his frustrations to do the decision making for him, but he specifically wanted Leo to not make this a recurring thing because they won't just fall apart as a team by that point: they'll fall apart as brothers. Giving someone what they want because they irked you into doing it can establish a pattern of behavior that no one wants to deal with the consequences of, and irking someone into giving you what you want isn't something you should do either. It sucks, believe me I know, but Leo shouldn't just let his brothers get their way because he's fed up with them, and Raph shouldn't always get his way because he doesn't agree with Leo's way of doing things.
Tumblr media
Doing that creates the opportunity for something bad to happen that could've easily been avoided, similar to letting a child do something you know they should be broken out of before that something becomes a problem in the future.
And Splinter doesn't seem mad when the guys come rushing back to the lair without Leo in tow, he sounds more disappointed than anything. As I mentioned earlier, he knows the others give Leo a hard time and he's aware that leadership is no easy role to be sworn into, but he was hopeful that his earlier lecturing would bring Leo to his senses and his son would prioritize responsibility over running off to only God knows where. He doesn't linger on his earlier conversation with Leo though, he spends a few seconds to scold Raph for instigating this entire mess in the first place. He makes sure Raph is aware of the pressure Leo has on his shoulders, with an underlying warning to not take leadership so lightly again, and orders him to find Leo.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Splinter's 15 second lecture leaves much to be desired and explained (that goes without saying), but the curt ending to it, "Now go find your brothers," says it all: leader or not, the bottom line is that your brothers are out there fighting an enemy without your help. Go find them and ensure their safety.

HIIIII I’m back for another request! Can I have Muichiro tsuguko braiding his hair? (like Mitsuri hairstyle!) I think that would be so freaking adorable 😭💖
(Take your time and have a nice day/night! ^^)
Tumblr media
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You give Muichiro different hairstyles.
Tumblr media
A gust of wind picked up blowing Muichiro's hair across his face. He struggled to move his hair away so he could get back to eating.
You giggled watching the Hashira struggle.
The weather was nice today, but an occasional strong wind would run through the trees making the lunch break you two were having a bit difficult.
"I have a hair tie if you'd like Tokito." You offered.
"Hm..." He thought. He never tied up his hair as he preferred it down, but it was causing quite the disturbance with finishing his meal. "Ok... but just while I finish eating."
You handed Tokito the hair tie but the Hashira seemed to zone out staring at it in your outstretched hand.
"Umm... is everything ok?" You asked.
"I... don't really remember how to use one." He responded. If Mucihiro had ever put his hair up he couldn't remember it... Usually he wasn't so embarrassed by his faulty memory, but this seemed like a simple task anyone should know how to do.
"Don't worry about it, I can help you. "You said getting up to sit behind Muichiro. You started to gather his hair in your hands when an intrusive thought came into your head.
What would Muichiro look like with Mitsuri's braids?
"Hey Tokito... would you mind if I braided your hair? It would add extra help with keeping your hair from blowing in the wind!" You hoped adding a logical reason such as this would help persuade the Hashira to say yes.
"I suppose I don't really care either way." He said, shrugging his shoulders.
A devilish grin spread across your face as you started to braid the Hashria's hair. You couldn't wait to see what he would like. You braided carefully but quickly letting his hair glide through your fingers.
You wondered how he kept his hair so soft with all the training and missions he did.
"Ta da!" You exclaimed upon completion of the braids. You hurriedly moved to sit in front of Muichiro to take in what the braids looked like.
He sat arms crossed facing you with glaring eyes.
'Well?" He asked, waiting for your reaction. Your heart skipped a beat at the adorable sight. While his face was as stoic as ever, the braids added a certain whimsicalness to him that you couldn't put into words. He looked absolutely precious. However, you didn't want to give away your true intentions for braiding his hair so you tried your hardest to keep a straight face.
"Yes they look very functional and should keep your hair out of your face while you eat."
"Hmm... this is working." He said in between bites of food. "Is there another way to do this without braids? These are a bit heavy. I'm not used to this pressure." He said, grabbing at the braids.
"You mean... you want another hair style?" You asked.
"Yes please. Can we try a few out to see which is the most comfortable with the same results?" He asked.
Your eyes light up at the Hashira's request. To be able to play with Muichiro's hair once was a dream come true, but to do it again?? This was turning out to be a wonderful day you thought.
"Of course Tokito!" You said excitedly sitting behind him again and beginning to work on another hairstyle.
You spent the rest of the day giving Muichiro different hairstyles and he rated them all based on comfort and functionality.
Tumblr media
Thank you for all your support and another adorable request. I hope you love it and it makes you smile! A very big shout out to @valartsstuff for letting me use her artwork for this story. Please go check her out, her Muichiro drawings are to die for!

My Heart is a Bell That Rings For You 🔔(Ominis x F!MC)
This fluffy little Ominis one shot has been in my WIPS since August. So glad it's finally seeing the light of day! Based off a random one liner Ominis has about how happy he is to hear the bells again after you complete that one side quest for Evangeline with the bells. Enjoy!
My Heart is a Bell That Rings For You - Ominis Gaunt x F!MC (1.2k words)
Warnings: None! Pure fluff!
Tumblr media
She never paid much mind to the bells that rang from the Hogwarts belltower. The bells rang every hour on the hour, and they had become a routine part of her days, occasionally hearing their melody as she crossed the courtyard to get to her classes. She felt indifferent about them, that is until she learned how her best friend and crush Ominis felt about them.
The pair sat outside on the grass, enjoying some free time between classes. Her head rested on his shoulder, while Ominis rested his head against a wall with his eyes closed, taking in the sounds around him. As noon approached, the bells began their regularly scheduled ringing, which she didn’t react to, but Ominis did, letting out a soft sigh.
“So lovely…” he muttered to himself.
“What was that?” she asked as she lifted her head to look at the boy.
“The bells.” he clarified, opening his unseeing eyes. “Their melody is so lovely. I forget who or where I am and I’m able to just relax for a moment.”
She watched Ominis as he spoke, taking in his features. She found him so beautiful - his baby blue eyes, his crooked nose, his birthmarks - she loved everything about him, but she could never tell him for fear of ruining their friendship if the feeling wasn’t mutual. Unbeknownst to her, Ominis felt the same, and shared the same fears as she did.
Her eyes closed as she took in the bells’s last few chimes of the hour, making a commitment to start enjoying them from now on. She always made an effort to learn about the things Ominis loved, indulging him as much as she could - always returning from her trips to Hogsmeade with his favorite sweets, always wearing a perfume he once mentioned he loved, and now, always finding time for them to enjoy the bells. She spent the next several days timing their moments together, so that they could enjoy the chimes when the hours changed.
So when three days passed without the bells ringing, she began to lose her mind.
It was only a little odd when the bells did not sound at all the first day, but when two more days went by without the bells ringing at any hour, she could see the disappointment in Ominis’s face. Ominis brushed it off, and she pretended to do the same, but inside it killed her to see Ominis lose something that brought him so much joy, regardless of how small it may have seemed. So on that third day, when Ominis went to class and the pair separated, she began her mission to restore the bells.
After about an hour of questioning several of her fellow students, she came across a girl named Evangeline. Evangeline explained that she and her friend were responsible for ensuring that the bells chimed daily, but that Headmaster Black had them dismantled, claiming that they reminded him of his wedding too much for him to want them functioning. Evangeline was unable to put the bells back together, as her friend had opted out of it for fear of repercussions, and they were too difficult to put back alone, as they needed to be placed in a very specific order for them to work. After obtaining this information from Evangeline, the girl made her way to the bell tower.
Upon arriving, she found a few of the large brass bells on the floor, while others were scattered along the stairs heading up to the top of the tower. After several minutes of levitating spells, they seemed to be in their correct place, although she didn’t dare test them for fear of ruining the surprise for Ominis. Once she climbed down from the tower, she darted towards the Defense Against the Dark Arts tower, knowing that Ominis would be leaving class shortly. When she did find him, she knew she would only have a few minutes before the end of the hour, when the bells would be set to ring once again.
“Come with me, I have a surprise for you!” she exclaimed as she took the boy’s hand, leading him outside.
“Oh?” Was all Ominis said as he let her take his hand and lead him along. His heart raced as it always did whenever she touched him. As they walked, he wished to himself that he wasn’t so fearful, wishing that he could tell her how he really felt. But as she pushed open the doors leading outside, he willed away his thoughts, reminding himself that there was no way she felt the same.
Once she had found the perfect spot, she sat down on the grass, pulling Ominis down with her. He took a moment to adjust to his surroundings, using his wand and other senses to determine where they were exactly.
“And why are we in the belltower courtyard, my dear? What is it that you’re up to?”
“Just wait!” Her eyes fixated on the bell tower a distance away from where they were sitting. Her breathing began to pick up as she waited with anticipation and nervousness.
After a few minutes, the hour changed, and with it came the ringing of the bells. Several students walking through the courtyard acknowledged the sounds and then went about their days, some not even noticing the sounds at all, but Ominis’s face lit up at hearing the familiar tune he had grown to find comfort in.
“Oh, Headmaster Black restored the bells! I’m so glad! He was a fool to take them down in the first place.”
Blush began to form on her cheeks as she considered for a moment not saying anything, but her desire to impress Ominis got the better of her.
“It was…me actually. I put them back together myself.” She let out a nervous giggle. “Easy work honestly, just a few levitation spells is all it took! I knew you missed hearing them so…” She stopped speaking any further, lest she faint from heat exhaustion due to how flushed and hot her face was.
“You did that for me?” Ominis asked softly. The boy did not receive many acts of kindness in his life, and still couldn’t get used to it when they were performed by his friends, yet alone the girl he fancied. The action made his heart do backflips in his chest. He couldn’t contain his feelings any longer.
The gratitude in Ominis’s voice broke her. Words falling from her lips before she could stop them. “Of course, Ominis. I would do anything for you. Anything to make you happy.” She began to worry she had said too much, but when Ominis took a hold of her hand, her worries faded.
“You’re far too good to me. I’m unsure of what I’ve done to deserve someone so wonderful in my life, but I’d like to show you just how much you mean to me. Would you allow me the chance to…take you out on a date? Maybe we could take a stroll through Hogsmeade, get some pastries, then stop at the tea shop?” Now it was Ominis’s turn to worry, momentarily fearing that he had crossed the friendship boundary with someone who didn’t share the same feelings.
On the other hand, it was now time for her heart to do backflips. “Yes! Yes of course! I’d love to go on a date with you, Ominis. It’s all I’ve ever wanted.” Again, her words were spilling before she could stop them, but she didn’t seem too concerned this time around.
As the echo of the final chime finally faded, the girl rested her head on Ominis’s shoulder, as the two of them held hands and discussed their plans for their first date.

I wanna ruin our friendship
Summary: Sudden feelings for your blue eyed bestfriend makes it difficult to be around him. But apparently he thinks its difficult not be you around either.
Tags: satorugojo x fem reader, tooth rotting fluff, pining (satoru), ft megumi, yuji, and nobara.
AN: This is how I cope. :')
-------------------------------------
"Oh no." Your eyes widened at your realization, hand immediately gripping your chest as if trying to stop all your feelings from overflowing.
Oceans eyes that somehow held galaxies in them looked back at you. They were bright and full of undeniable contentment that took everything in you not to spill the words that were trying to come out, "Say somethin?
You lips opened to say something before deciding against it and shaking your head. "mm, its nothing."
His warm hand squeezed yours as he continued leading you through the crowded train station of Shibuya. "Stay close."
Holdings hands was his idea. So you wouldn't lose each other he said with that cocky grin. Ignoring the fact that he could just teleport the both of you anywhere.
It was the same hand that held yours right now that sent tingles through your arm and straight to your heart. So here you were gripping your chest for dear life as the realization dawned on you. The feelings so overwhelming that unshed tears lined your eyes.
You were in love with Satoru Gojo.
And it terrified you.
------
This was getting ridiculous, Gojo thought. Its been almost two weeks. Two weeks of no proper communication, no impromptu hang outs, no movie nights, no you and It was driving him insane.
Answering him with a simple "Im busy. Sorry." to every attempt he did at getting you to see him but to ko avail. He could barely function during long term missions without you. And now you're deliberately choosing not to see him for some reason he cannot -for the life of him- fanthom. He was called all seeing with his six eyes but that clearly some kind of false advertisement.
He groaned outloud and began banging his head on the table. Hands itching to pull his hair out in frustration.
A jovial voice pulled him out of his reverie. "Is something wrong, Gojo-sensei?"
Oh. Right. He was in the middle of class when thoughts of you began to plague his mind. But when were you really not on his mind?
An aloof Megumi, a bored Nobara and a curious Yuji met his gaze.
"Its nothing. Its nothing." He says, waving it off with a grin.
He heard the sound of a chair being dragged as Nobara stood up. "Is class done? I promised Utahime and Y/N that I'd meet them after class."
The sound of your name made his ears perk. "Oooh, where are ya meeting them?"
"Why do y'wanna know?" Nobara looks at him suspiciously.
He leans back on his chair whistling nonchalantly, blindfold making him hard to read. "Oh no reason."
"Whatever."
She missed the way Gojo grinned evilly, cackling to himself like some evil mastermind when she left. Completely forgetting about Megumi and Yuji still in the classroom looking at him weirdly.
---------
"Hmmph."
The audacity you had to sit there in some stupid café next to Utahime and look so damn pretty was irritating.
How dare you smile at Nobara without a care in the world? As if Gojo's world wasn't ending. You should be smiling at him! At him!
Oh, how the mighty have fallen. If anyone could see the Gojo -honored one- Satoru basically stalking you from the other side of the street, he would be a laughing stock.
Still, after two weeks of not seeing you, he felt a tinge of relief in his chest that you look healthy. That you weren't dying or anything.
Yes, Gojo would not take any other reason than you dying for your avoidance of him. Thats why it irritated him even more, that you didn't want to see him. But if he was being honest , he was less irritated and more sad.
Enough was enough. He wanted, no needed to talk to you.
-----
"Satoru?"
The surpise evident in your voice as you saw him waiting for you beside your door. Sitting on the floor no less.
His signature cheery grin immediately curved on his face as he saw you. "Yo!"
You took a cautious step forward, a small frown on your face. "What are you doing here?"
He stood up to his full height, towering over you. "Well, someone was avoiding me so I had to find a way to see her somehow."
You visibly flinch at the implication of his words. "I wasn't avoiding you."
"Oh?"
"I was-"
"Busy. Sure. But you didn't seem busy while you were laughing it off with Nobara and Utahime." The tone of his voice was pouty, almost like was jealous that you were giving your attention to someone else.
You huffed, frustrated. "Gojo-"
"Satoru."
"What?"
"Im Satoru or Toru.." He began, voice melancholic. "Never Gojo, not to you."
Seriously, this guy. He has always been hard to read. Sometimes you wonder what might be going on in his mind from all the crazy things he does. Yet he has always been so vocal about everything to you that it wasn't so necessary to read his mind, except now.
A small sigh tumbled out of your lips. "Satoru."
The sound if your sweet voice calling his name so softly immediately brightened him up. "That's my girl."
You felt the blood rush to your cheeks at his words. It wasnt strange that you fell for him. Whats strange is how it took you this long to realize it.
Slender fingers tilted your chin up, "Now, how about ya tell me why you're avoiding me?"
Your eyes dart to the side, trying to find a way to escape him. Maybe you could jump over the railing? It just a two story building, but wait, would you even be fast enough to out run him?
Satoru immediately notices your dilemma, "Uh-uh." He tuts you. "Rid your pretty little head of those ideas, there's no escaping here."
Damn it, you thought. He was never going to let this go, was he? You were starting to think that it was time to face the music. To admit the truth that you were scared to admit even to yourself.
Strong arms start caging you against your door, trapping you to him which made your heartbeat raise exponentially.
"Ready to share with the class?" A small smirk dance on his face as leaned in closer, face a hair breadth away.
His blindfold gave nothing to what he was thinking which was just unfair. You bit your lip as you inched closer to him, making his breath hitch. Soft fingers reached up and tugged down his blindfold, causing whispy white hair to fall down and reveal mesmerising ocean blue eyes. Eyes that were completely enchanted by your every movement.
You wanted to see his honest reaction, leaving nothing to chance.
With your heart pounding in your ears, you took in a shaky breath before gazing back into his eyes. Your voice trembled a little as clumsy words tumble out of your lips, "I- Im in love with you."
His eyes widen slightly and its like he stopped breathing altogether. She loves me. She loves me. she loves me.
After a few beats, you were suddenly pulled flush into his chest. Arms wrapped around your torso as he tucked his head into your neck. "Sato-"
"Say it again."
"It's embarrassing. Don't make me say it again." You mumble into his cloth shoulder.
"Please?" He pleaded in that sad voice of his.
With your face flushed red and hands gripping his clothes tightly on his lower back. You sigh in defeat, you could never truly deny him of anything, could you? "I love you."
Your mind was racing a mile a minute. He hasn't said anything of substance but his tight grip on you gave you some semblance of hope. Hope that you didn't throw your years of friendship down the drain.
A soft laugh pulled you put of your thoughts. Before it turns into full blown laughter. Without warning , your feet left the ground as your being spun around by Satoru. His laugh like a melody in your ears that you couldn't help but giggle a little despite the confusion.
"Satoru, Im getting dizzy!" You cry out.
"Oops, sorry!" He planted you back on your feet and just when you started to catch your breath, soft lips pressed into yours in a searing kiss, like wanted to imprint his lips on yours. It made your toes curl and tingles run up your spine. You barely had the time to respond as Satoru pulled away leaving you breathless.
Gentle hands cradle your face as he leans his forehead against yours, a smile that seemed to be permanently etched into his face gleam back at you. "I love you too."
Your breath hitch at his admission, its like the words were trapped in you throat. You didn't know what to say. You feel your eyes turn glossy and you had to blink away the tears of relief. After being so scared of losing him.
The lack of response only made his smile widen into a goofy grin. "I love you, princess." His body began to cave into yours again. "-so so much."
You whispered something under your breath which made him pull away a bit. "Say somethin?"
"I said why didn't you just say that sooner!" You all but smack him , making him let out an exaggerated whine of pain. "Sorryyy, I just got so excited."
----
Bonus*
"By the way." He began from his side of the sofa, your legs sprawled out on his lap. "What made ya think that telling me that y'were madly and deeply in love with me was a bad thing?"
You roll your eyes at him, "First of all I did not say madly or deeply-" You sigh a bit, "Secondly, I didn't want to ruin our friendship."
He just tilts his head obliviously, "What? Really?" He rubs his chin in consideration. "Ive been trying to ruin our friendship for years though."
"What are you talking about?"
He shrugs, "Ive been flirting with you for years."
"You- what." You say dumbfounded.
Grabbing your hand, he pulls you to straddle his lap. Thumbs rubbing soothing circles on your waist. "Ive been in love with you for years. Flirted with you non-stop to make you fall for me. I was starting to think it didn't had any effect until now."
God, you wanted to smack his cocky grin away. "Reason I got so excited when ya told me was because the only thing going through my mind was thank God it worked!"
Instead you groan into his shoulder, "You're impossible, Toru."
"You love me."
"I do."

In the Night
Dad!Jake “Hangman” Seresin x female reader
Tumblr media
Summary: You’re his once again, but Jake can’t shake the nightmares of where you leave him, this time taking your daughter with you.
Notes: This was another one suggested by an anon. It’s the slightest bit different, but I did my best. Mostly fluff, really, and love stuff. Hurt/comfort. I love how my plan was to make this a drabble and my brain was just like ‘nope!’
Part of the Oh, Baby universe, takes place between Oh, Baby and His Girls.
Warnings: I mean, nightmares, I guess. Idk if that’s a warning. Cursing. Probably it.
Words: 2419
Oh, Baby Masterlist / Masterlist
Oh Baby (Previous Part), His Girls (Next Part)
---
Jake didn't have dreams, and he didn’t get nightmares. He didn’t have mountainous worries or subconscious fears that could wiggle their way into the crevices of his brain to make themselves known after closing his eyes at night. He had clear goals and a planned future that nothing would, or ever did, stand in the way of. His pure drive didn’t offer spare time to imagine negative possibilities, and that way of living served him well. It proved an effective method to get him where he wanted to be. It got him into the Navy. It got him to California. It led to him participating in missions rarely offered to others. It was a way of living that eventually brought him to you. You, who immediately fucked up his balanced lifestyle.
Before you, Jake had convinced himself he had complete control over every element of his life, and that extended to his unconscious. Then you decided to walk right into his line of sight, and with one word from your pretty lips, you gained full access to the front door of his brain, which you thoroughly abused at all hours of the day. You made your mark and tossed a wrench into the well-oiled gearwork that operated his perfect functioning and completely took over. He lost control over parts of himself he didn’t expect, and from that very moment, his nights were filled with dreams.
In the beginning, they were sweet extensions of his time with you at the bar; innocent flirting and jokes—the times that built your friendship despite him always wanting more. Then there were kisses that you'd never shared suddenly seeping in and moments when he brought you into his bed. Unsurprisingly, he didn’t mind those dreams—liked them even, until he realized he was in love with you. After that, they changed. The longer he went without telling you how he felt, the more his dreams began to morph into punishments for being a coward that had him sweating and shooting up in bed. And once you disappeared from his life entirely, those punishments twisted into absolute torture. That was when he got his first true taste of a nightmare.
When you finally returned to him with your baby daughter, he imagined all of that would go away. He had you back, he had a beautiful little girl, and he was sure there was absolutely nothing else to worry about.
It was the third night of you being back in his arms that proved him wrong. The sweating returned; the gasping; his torso shooting up in bed. Painfully reminiscent and all of it more potent than before.
They were usually the same. You were walking away from him, drifting further with each step until your figure blurred with the indistinguishable background. You walked with ease while he felt he was trudging through seas of thick mud, the uppermost layer drying and cracking under the intense heat of the sun, only adding to his struggle to get to you. Eventually, he would wear out. You’d be gone, and he’d be up to his torso in mud so solid and dry it was practically on its way to becoming arable soil.
Sometimes they were worse—harder to shake off the next day. Those nightmares had Eve. Her tiny hand would be reaching out for him just before you pulled her away with a blank expression on your face and disappeared behind a maze of doors. In the nightmare, he always laughed at the cruelty. His mind let him know that enough doors to fill a funhouse made up the labyrinth that kept him from you and his daughter, and yet he didn’t even have the key to the first one. No hope of getting you back. A useless effort.
They always destroyed him.
—--
His eyes were wide open, too wide, staring at the wall on the other side of his bedroom as he tried to calm his breathing. His heart was a jackrabbit in his heaving chest; bedsheets damp under his palms.
For the twenty-second night in a row, he’d been forced awake by the nightmares, panic overwhelming his entire body, only to look over and find you safe and sound beside him. And if you were beside him, then he knew his daughter was bundled comfortably in her crib down the hall. The instant relief to his mind did not stretch throughout the rest of him.
Jake groaned and rubbed a hand over his sweaty brow. His nerves were shot. Overstimulated. They felt wiggly under the layers of his skin.
“Jake?”
He sighed. The concern in your sleepy voice grew with each night he failed to keep from waking you, and he hated the way his name borderline quivered off your lips.
“Go back to sleep, Honey,” he said, but you were sitting up before the words were fully out of his mouth. Stubborn woman. He would’ve chuckled but the energy to do so wasn’t within him.
Your fingers brushed back locks of his ruffled hair, then your palm cupped his cheek and you turned his head until your eyes met. Your skin was cool against his flushed face, and he wrapped his fingers around your wrist, holding your touch steady as he leaned into it. He never wanted to wake you, but goddamn did he love to savor in realizing the nightmares weren’t reality.
“Jake, what is going on?” you asked.
“Nothing.”
Your lips twitched to the side and you nibbled on the inside of your cheek. He knew what that meant; he was caught in a lie, one he'd told a handful of nights now, and that lie was beginning to bother you. He was ready to tell you everything, just to rid of the sadness in your eyes, but you beat him to it.
“Are you having dreams?”
Eyebrows raising, Jake’s lips parted. Your thumb grazed over the bottom one.
“I had them a lot, too, right before I came back here,” you admitted. “I thought there might be a chance you’d reject me and Eve.”
You shook your head when he started to deny that possibility, effectively stopping him.
“You didn’t turn us away; that’s all that matters,” you continued. The hand that was on his face slid down along his neck until it reached his chest. You lightly pressed against the pounding of his heart, helping it to ease. “So what is it? Was it that mission, or—”
Jake shook his head. The short three-day mission that he had mentioned and hadn’t bothered to delve into the details of barely crossed his mind. It was eight months after you disappeared, but compared to the emotional toll of your near year-long absence, that mission was nothing.
"I lose you,” he said.
You jerked back. “What?”
“For twenty-two nights straight,” he paused to take a deep breath, and on the exhale, he said, “I’ve lost you and Eve.”
He never intended to hide things from you, but something about speaking aloud the inner thoughts plaguing him didn’t feel possible without also giving life to them. He could picture them developing their own shape as they exited his mouth; like choking up dark, opaque masses of poisoned sludge. It was a risk he hadn’t wanted to take. But if he couldn’t tell you, he couldn’t tell anyone, and the mental strain was taking its toll.
“I can’t keep losing you, Honey,” Jake mumbled in the limited space between you. It was quiet, but it was enough. Your face crumbled. “I’m so tired.”
You were in his lap in a split second, your legs on either side of his hips and your hands back on his face, forcing him to meet the intensity of your stare. With your brow pinched, your eyes bore into his, searching for more than what he’d offered so far.
Whatever you were looking for, you found, and you said, “You know you’d never lose us for real, right?"
He shrugged as he lightly held your waist. “I lost you once before.”
“Not because of anything you did.”
“No one does anything in the nightmares, either. It just…happens.”
You ducked your head to invade the faraway look in his eyes. He kept doing that, without even realizing it.
“I told you we aren’t going anywhere,” you promised. You pressed a delicate kiss to his lips, then your thumb ran over them again as if to seal your taste against his mouth so he wouldn’t forget that you were there. You were there. He was there. Together and connected. “Baby, we aren’t leaving you.”
“I know.”
“Do you?” you asked. “Truly?”
He did, but he was silent a moment too long.
Your bottom lip—the one that had just been so sweetly pressed against his—began to tremble. Jake’s gaze was glued to it, not entirely understanding the sudden shift until a single tear dipped into the corner of your mouth. His eyes snapped up to yours.
“Hon—”
“I did this,” you whimpered, suddenly breaking in his arms.
Your whole body folded forward. And had he not been solid and sturdy and there to catch you, you’d have bled right into him. Not that he would have minded. There was no way to possibly be closer than for two to blend into one, and sometimes, that was exactly what he craved. There’d been nights he woke from the dreams when simply seeing and feeling you attached to his side wasn’t enough. He’d kiss you and run his hands over your body until your eyes opened and you accepted his advances, but even then, he wanted more. Needed more.
Your face was buried in the curve of his neck; your tears adding to the sweat-formed sheen of his skin. “You wouldn’t be dealing with this if I hadn’t been a fucking coward,” you said through your sniffles.
“No, Honey,” he whispered as his fingers glided down your hair. “You’re here, Ok? That’s all I care about. You and Eve are with me, and I know it. I swear I know it, Honey.”
It was then that he realized your fears and his were as solid a couple as the two of you. They went hand in hand, thriving off of one another in the darkness where you’d both hidden them away.
When you lifted your head, Jake wiped away the remnants of your sobs from your face.
“Why do you trust me after what I did?”
“Because it’s you,” he said without hesitation. It’s you, and you could break my heart ten times over and I’d still love you. I’d still want you. I’d still trust you.
Another tear threatened to trickle down your face and, like the others, Jake forced the straggler to disappear.
You sniffed, but in the aftermath of your sobs your nose was stuffed and you had to breathe through your mouth. Jake smiled at you as you calmed, but you didn’t return it. Instead, your eyes scanned over his face, taking him in the way he had when he saw you walk through Rooster’s door just under a month ago. Despite being spread over his lap, you looked at him like you were trying to verify how real he was.
"I love you."
The words were shaky, the anxiety behind your confession almost palpable.
He couldn’t stop from momentarily freezing. As much as he'd wished to hear it, it was unexpected enough to knock him off kilter. You had such a habit of doing that to him, of flipping his world on its side, and he didn’t any better understand how to appropriately act this time than he did the last.
Face falling further, you said, "I'm sorry. Maybe this wasn't the right time to—"
"No!" He rushed out, letting his hands slide around to your lower back. "God, Honey, I've loved you for-fucking-ever. I just didn't know you felt that way about me already."
Your head dipped forward, chin tucking close to your chest as your eyes averted from his. Jake glanced down to the narrow space between your bodies where your fingers were picking at your nail. Your thumbnails were shorter than the others—those that suffered the most abuse from your anxiousness.
Jake tucked the hair draped in front of your face back behind your ears. "What's wrong?"
You swallowed but you didn’t move until he put a knuckle under your chin and lifted. His brow pinched in question.
With your sigh, your shoulders relaxed, and for the first time, he realized how tense you’d been.
"Jake, I—I loved you when I left,” you admitted. “I should've told you before now. I should've said it when you did, but…"
But? There was no but. Jake didn’t give a damn if you had some excuse, prepared or not. You loved him. Youd loved him for nearly as long as he loved you.
It made the time spent apart all the more tragic. You could’ve been a family from the second you discovered your pregnancy. Maybe he’d have asked you to marry him. Maybe you’d have waited to wed until Eve was born so she could be part of it. Maybe you’d be discussing the idea of having a second child. Maybe. But truthfully, it didn’t matter. Everything had fixed itself. Actually, no, Jake thought. Nothing had fixed itself. You had fixed it. You came back to him not because of fate or because the world demanded it of you, but because you loved him.
"You don't have to explain,” he said. His fingers wove into the strands of your hair and he made a gentle fist, pulling you closer. "Just let me kiss you."
Finally, you grinned. "Always."
It was soft at first, but then harder; lips parting and tongues brushing and hands holding one another tighter. The silence of the room was overtaken by heavy breaths and the subtle sound of bodies shifting over smooth bedsheets. He flipped you over so your head could rest on his pillow and he broke the kiss to look down at you and just…stare, for a little while. You didn’t stop him or hurry him along. You lay there as his fingertip traced the lines of your face, from your hairline to the sharp angle of your cheekbone to the curve of your chin. It ghosted over your kiss-swollen lips
“Don’t be scared, Jake,” you whispered. “You couldn’t get rid of us if you tried.”
“I never would, Honey,” he swore, sealing it with a kiss on your forehead before meeting your lips again.

read boywonder and exploded died (in a bad way)
talia... what have they done to you... what do they always do to you... ‘there is no honour in assassin’s work’ talia... where are u... the apple of my eye, i adore her sm very close to sending pipebombs to GM everyday waow...
watching people talk about how good this was for talia feels like chewing glass. boy wonder was clearly written by someone who has not read anything involving talia prior to grant morrison and doesn't care about her outside of whatever can justify her becoming an abusive backstory for damian.
boy wonder completely disrespects her struggle during the time when she was so conflicted because she wanted to be loyal to her father but wasn't sure if she believed in him entirely anymore. the struggle existed because talia knew she would not abide by nor aid him if she did not agree with him. because talia has her own moral compass and beliefs that she follows. juni ba disregards this very important part of her journey to instead make her an entirely different character apparently did not disagree with ra's at any point before her own son was threatened (going as far as making her uncaring towards damian's former caretaker to show us how twisted her way of thinking is. mind you, this is supposedly the same talia who cried the first time she accidentally killed someone and has risked her life to help strangers, the JLA, jason todd, etc). she has to be turned into a different person just because boy wonder needs her to be framed as a somewhat sympathetic villain who gets what she deserves by having her son leave her for a better family. her "happy ending" is knowing that damian's other family is making him happy, which she never could because the story deems her incapable of that.
along these lines is another thing i found insulting: juni ba insinuating that talia's love for bruce may have been caused by talia wanting to please her father, who wanted bruce as an heir. when in reality, ra's only took notice of bruce after talia fell in love with bruce. it was because talia was outspoken enough in front of her father to bring up bruce that ra's cared about him at all. it was because talia had been off in cairo studying medicine that she had been caught up in a scheme that took her to bruce. all of those were her own choices, and juni ba wants us to question whether any of it was real because he doesn't believe talia has ever had agency. all because he himself clearly has never read talia outside of recent comics.
related to the above: juni ba insists talia wanted to be the heir to the league of assassins. pre-GM talia has never expressed this. she's never even implied it. from everything we've seen, it's pretty clear she would never want to nor would she able to stomach so much death. because it's canon that talia's heart hurts for everyone she sees killed. but, again, juni ba does not care about this whatsoever because his story is about damian and the bats. talia's characterization is always acceptable collateral damage when it comes to damian and the bats.
the more I think about it, the more I hate juni ba's misinterpretation of her. people so readily accept things like boy wonder and WFA when it comes to talia because they know so little about the most foundational parts of her character and it's really upsetting that big projects will continue to give such ooc stories as the best case scenario for talia. this is equivalent to someone writing a story where bruce decided to not take in dick or jason because the mission's more important than one kid. that would make bruce a different and less compelling character, right? that's exactly what happened to talia here (and in wfa and in everything GM wrote and in pretty much every story written since then). these are very integral parts of her character. if boy wonder as a story can't function without talia being so thoroughly destroyed? it was never a story worth telling (and it really isn't. because it's truly not a good story at all, which makes talia being wrecked for it even worse).
it makes me so angry because things like this are exactly why people don't see talia the same way they see selina or bruce or any other character ever! she continues to be pushed into the role of the harmful past who can only atone for her mistakes by now becoming an obsolete observer.

thinking about how the ones who live is intentionally a love story and how everything that happens on screen functions to service that love story, and how they have done an incredible job at making that evident through rick's behavior. even (especially even) through rick's "programming" by the CRM.
he chopped off his own hand trying to escape and get back to michonne. and it didn't work. and he still did not give up.
in fact he was one hundred percent going to keep trying to escape forever ("I'm going home or I'm dying. that's it") until okafor revealed that he knew who his family was, how to find them, and that he'd kill them if rick ever escaped. that is the only thing that could get rick grimes to stop trying. okafor (and now jadis) is basically holding rick hostage by metaphorically holding a gun to michonne's head and threatening to pull the trigger if rick tries to get to her, or leave with her. which means he can never go home. he would never dare it. not if it meant risking their lives.
as a result he metaphorically killed himself. he says he "still decided to die" and in order to do that destroyed his letters to and sketches of michonne because as long as he had the hope of her he could not kill the part of himself that would try anything to get back to her. instead, he lets his mission become taking down the CRM to make the world a better place for her, without her ever knowing it.
even after he makes this decision, he still dreams of her - dreams of meeting her in a kinder world where he can casually propose on a park bench after meeting her once. he can never actually let her go of her.
from the moment he sees her again, every single thing he does is to keep her alive. from giving her a cover story and staging her crime scene on the spot, to immediately running interference with thorne. michonne is such an obvious, indisputable A, to the point where she cannot hide it despite making an effort. he knows the CRM would have killed her on site in that field, and are now watching her closely and can still decide to kill her at any time. his every waking moment is trying to think two steps ahead of them.
last episode, we saw rick step between michonne and the gun thorne was aiming at her. he also raised his gun on thorne when she reached for her knife to use against michonne. both times he covered it up by playing the part of a dutiful soldier (a role so completely against his character it horrifies michonne to witness it, just like it horrified rick to learn is dad did something so dishonest when he committed insurance fraud to save their family). everything he does - even becoming someone the love of his life cannot recognize- is to save her.
rick is standing between the metaphorical gun that okafor/jadis/the crm is pointing at michonne, his kid(s) and alexandria. when he says he belongs here and michonne doesn't, he's saying he already sacrificed himself (by metaphorically dying) so that he could take down the CRM, so she and everyone else could be safe. in his mind, it's too late for him - he's already caught, he's already gone, and he knows jadis has him by the neck. but he can get michonne out. even if it means making her hate him. it's the only way to protect her.
it's exactly what he did on the bridge - his life, his happiness, his needs, are always secondary to keeping his family safe. in that sense, rick grimes is very much still alive - doing this one last thing he can do to protect his family. I truly do not believe he is suddenly loyal to the CRM the way we see thorne has become. rather, he truly believes that he can never go home. all he sees is the huge, HUGE fucking gun pointed directly at michonne. if he leaves, there's no one to step in front of it. that is the how the CRM has him programmed. that's the mindset michonne will need to break him out of.

"So you're one hundred per cent sure that what I got is enough? I feel like it's not. Oh yn, you could've let me get the tea set too!"
Jun whines from the passenger seat for the hundredth time. His mouth has been working overtime since the two had gotten in the car - questions, complaints and fusses leaving his mouth nonstop through the entire ride.
Approximately two weeks ago, on a random Tuesday night, you had casually thrown a question at Jun over dinner. "Mom called today. She wanted to have dinner since I hadn't visited them in a while. I was wondering if you wanted to go with me? They can finally meet you, Jun"
The simple question that came out of your somehow resulted in Jun choking on his next bite of rice.
If you'd thought Jun was overdramatic before (affectionately), you had definitely underestimated to what extent he would go after you had invited him to meet your parents.
The last two weeks had been hectic for Jun. As soon as he processed the invitation, he immediately made it his mission to get something - a first impression gift, he said - for your parents. When you firmly told him that he doesn't need to get anything, he looked at you like you just told him the Great Wall isn't in China. "Do you want your parents to hate me, yn? He had scoffed. "You weren't expecting me to just show up without anything, right? That's literally the easiest way to look bad in front of any parent"
Since then, Jun had been lurking on every single online website - hunting for household items with a concerningly deep determined look in his eyes. On Friday, he dragged you to a home appliance store nearby, immediately demanding your honest and brutal opinions on the porcelain tea sets on display. And that's when you admitted that maybe Junhui was a little more insane than you thought he was.
Surprisingly, you managed to convince Junhui to only stick to a couple of scented candles, incense sticks and coasters in the end. But it still didn't stop him from whining about how he still could've made a better impression with one of the tea sets he had been eyeing.
"Jun, sweetheart" You sigh, eyes set on the road ahead of you "There was no way I was gonna let you buy a whole ass tea set. Mom has plenty of sets at home, she doesn't need another one"
"Yn, I love you, but, the tea set isn't meant to be given as a function. I don't expect her to put it to use. It's more of a symbol of appreciation"
Damn your boyfriend and his ability to speak complete nonsense and somehow make it sound reasonable. "A symbol of appreciation? For what?"
"For letting me have their daughter, yn, obviously!" From the corner of your eye, you can see the way his arms are flailing around as he tries to argue with you. It's amusing, really - the way this got him all worked up and sweating like he's at dance practice.
"Respectfully, Jun, they didn't let you have me, you know?" You smirked, a teasing lilt to your voice. "They just didn't know and when they finally did, it was already too late. You were way too deep in love with me"
"You're right" Jun surprisingly agrees with you, making you look towards him with slightly raised eyebrows. Usually, he would have picked a fight. Arguing about how you're the one who fell first and the biggest simp in your relationship. So when he actually agrees with you without snapping back with a witty remark, you realize that his mind is preoccupied with the nervousness of the dinner with your parents more than you had realized.
"Jun?" You call softly to get his attention and wait till he replies with a hum. "Are you okay, love?"
Jun is silent in his seat. You take a quick glance at him to see him looking out the window, lips pulled under his teeth while he seems to be deep in thought. His hands are resting on his lap, fingers wringing each other in an attempt you recognize as him trying to calm himself down. Your eyebrows furrow in concern at the sight of Jun twitching in his seat, clearly anxious about this whole ordeal.
Looking in the rear mirror to see if you can slow down, you reach out to him with one of your hands - the other holding the steering wheel tighter. Jun almost jumps when he feels your cold hand settle on his before he laces his fingers with yours, his hold tight.
"Sorry," His voice is quiet, almost apologetic. "I'm just- I'm fidgety, cause, I'm nervous"
"Don't be sorry, baby, no" You assure him with a squeeze of his clammy hands. "It's okay if you're nervous, it's completely fine. Remember when you took me to meet your mom and dad? I was almost crying by the time we got there"
"Yeah, I remember" He sighs. "But I just- just can't help it, you know? What if they don't like me, yn? What if they think I'm not good enough- all sorts of what ifs"
You understood what he said, you really did.
When Junhui asked if you wanted to meet his family two months into your relationship, you had been anxious to the same extent - if not more. What was different was Jun had asked you almost a month in advance, giving you enough time to freak the fuck out about it, let it process, come to terms with it and finally get ready. When you think about it now, it makes you feel bad realizing you had only given Jun approximately two weeks to prepare himself for this.
"Junnie, I'm sorry if this is so sudden," You say, making him turn to you on a whim. "Fuck, I should've given you more time to get ready. I'm so sorry. I didn't mean for you to get anxious, Jun"
"No, no, yn. It's not your fault, baby" Jun is quick to reach over the console, a clammy hand coming up to press under her chin in an attempt of reassurance. "It was sudden, true but this was going to happen sooner or later, no? Meeting your parents? I'm just the normal amount of nervous, okay? Don't worry baby, you didn't do anything"
As if to emphasize his words, Jun brings your laced hands to his lips, pressing a kiss to the back of your palm and another one to your wrist. You relax a little into your seat, his words starting to make sense in your mind.
Soon, you're putting out the right turn signal before making a turn off the main road. You can feel Jun's hand tense around yours a bit more and you give him another squeeze of assurance. He watches out his window as you drive along the road that leads to your house. All the houses in the neighbourhood are gates, screaming sophistication at any guest that passes by. You know that compared to other neighbourhoods, yours is considered to be a bit more upper-class and rich. And Junhui is definitely enamoured by it.
"Yn, you actually grew up in a fancy neighbourhood" His mouth is almost hung open. "All of the houses have gates!"
You laugh at the excitement that takes over his features, the anxiety seemingly slipping away from him in the process. You can't help but take occasional glances at him as you continue to drive up ahead. It's only when you turn towards a clearing that with an already opened gate, he suddenly tenses again.
"Oh god," You can hear him mumble under his breath, both of his hands now coming to hold on to yours that rest on his lap. The gate opens to a paved driveway, large trees carefully sitting on both sides. You slowly pull inside and at the end of the long driveway, the house you once called home stands proudly.
The closer you get to the house, the fidgety Junhui gets. His knee is bouncing up and down in clear distress so you hold on to him a little tighter, reminding him that you're right there. He waits as you drive to the side of the house, stopping the car next to the garage which holds your dad's cars. You can almost feel the anxiety that bounces off of Junhui, circulating the car like a scent and it makes you sad, knowing he's this nervous about meeting your parents.
As soon as your hand leaves the steering wheel and pulls on the parking gear, Junhui is almost scrambling to your side of the car over the console and immediately hiding his face in your shoulder.
"I'm so scared" He's mumbling into your your skin once his face is pushed against your neck, shaky breath fanning over you warmly.
You bring up your other arm which isn't clutching Jun's to put around him before pulling his body towards you. It's a weird angle considering how he's almost leaning his entire upper body over the console of the car but neither of you could care less about the way the gear is pressing into his tummy in a way that is not comfortable. What matters right now is the fact that you're there to hold him while he freaks out about what will happen once he gets out of the car.
He sighs again, relaxing a little in your hold as you press your lips to his temple. "What if...what if they don't like me, yn? What do I-"
His words are unceremoniously cut off when you pull away by a little, only to press your lips against his in a quick manner. He shuts up then, closing his eyes and deepening the kiss, trying to drink in your entire being if you're offering. It's evident in the way he unconsciously tries to chase your lips with his when you go to pull away.
"Baby, no" You assure him in a hushed whisper, forehead resting against his temple. "They're not gonna hate you, I promise. They won't, darling"
The look on Jun's face remains the same, unconvinced and doubtful even though you put up the most certain voice you're able to. There's a slight crease in his eyebrows and the way his eyes fail to focus on yours says enough though - he's terrified.
"Baby" You croons, freeing your other hand from his before bringing them both up to his face.
Jun's cheeks are cold under your fingers, probably a result of the blasting AC in the car. Your hands must be cold as well if the way he flinches when they rest on his skin says something. Yet, his eyes slightly droop on the contact, almost leaning into the touch with a small smile that paints across his lips. It makes you smile too, the way he's so willing to lean into the warmth ( or the icy cold feel ) of your hands.
"They'll be nice, baby, I promise. Don't you think they'll at least try to be nice to the first boy I've ever brought home, hm? It's a new milestone"
His cheeks are immediately flushing at your words - the knowledge of him being the first to meet the parents settling something warm and fuzzy in his stomach. You smile to yourself as you see the mischievous little smile that stretches across his face.
"How do I trust you, huh?" He says with a slyness to her voice, looking up at you from the gaps in his lashes.
"Trust me about what?" You play along while your fingers brush away locks of brown stray hairs that fall across his forehead.
"When you say I'm the first boy to meet your family?" His usual playful smile is now etched into his face, making him look young and boyish. Now that he doesn't seem to be as worried as he was before, you realize he's up to no good. Jun is skilled in knowing just how to pull the strings and make you the right amount of annoyance at any given time. "Does that mean you've brought girls home, hm? What if you're just saying it to make me feel better?"
"Oh, jun, baby. If I had brought girls home, I would've gotten kicked out a long time ago, don't you think?" You chuckle despite the heaviness of the words that come out of your mouth. Jun smiles too, seeming to agree with you. "And trust me, you'd know why I haven't brought anyone home all this time once you meet them, okay?"
And just like that, Jun's face is crumping again in your hold before he's whining in a high voice while leaning away from you. "Yn, why would you say that? That sounds even scary"
You chuckle while Jun fake cries in his seat, suddenly ranting about how he would not hesitate to break down in actual tears if your family intimidates him enough. While he goes on and on about the miserable state he's in, you reach behind you and grab the bag of 'first impression gifts' Jun had brought.
When you got in the car earlier, you had jokingly pointed out how he's only doing this to suck up to your parents and kiss their ass. And Jun being dramatic as he is had dismissed you with a sassy flick of his wrist saying 'Yn, it's not kissing ass to bring something as a visitor. It's basic human decency. It's an unwritten rule of Asian households. You should know that!'
As soon as you grab the bag from the backseat, Jun is shuffling to take it from you, sticking his hand inside and mentally checking out a list of the things he's gotten to make sure he hasn't forgotten anything.
As you wait for Jun to finish, you turn off the car, pocketing your keys and wallet. Jun has finished his counting when you turn back towards him. He's leaning against the door on his side, bag resting on his lap and hands once again nervously twitching on top of it.
The look in his eyes is fond as he looks your way, but it doesn't take a genius to understand that it's only masking a lot of nervousness and unease behind them. His lower lip is caught between his teeth as he rapidly chews on it, purely out of habit. So you reach before carefully thumbing under his lips, trying to get him to stop.
"Take your time, Jun. There's no rush. We have all the time. Let me know when you're ready"
Junhui had always been naturally fidgety when it came to approaching new people and being introduced to new conditions. And even more so if it's related to your past that he hadn't been present in. Jun tends to care a lot about first impressions - always fussing over his appearance, his behaviour and his attention to detail. As much of an extrovert as he is, it's always quite hard for him to take the first step towards instant socializing.
In disparity, you're the one who's capable of grounding him whenever it happens. Even though he's freaking out of his mind, as long as he's able to feel the familiar sense of your fingers lacing his, nudging the right amount of pressure against his skin, he's good to go. So even now, as he's trying to regulate his breathing and try not to scream in dread, the feeling of your lips pressing into his cheek in the form of security, assurance and a promise - it's enough to hold him from falling apart.
