I have this stupid idea for a piece of art where it's Cass and Steph but Steph is wearing a shirt that says "emotional support Swiftie"

    Cass never expected to become unlikely friends with Stephanie Brown, the Spoiler, a girl she was repeatedly told she was to keep off the streets, away from the vigilante world. But when Steph decides that the two of them are suddenly inseparable, she never thinks to say no. She's never had a friend before, and definitely not a friend that saw her for what she was: just a girl.

    But she knows better than anyone that good things never last, and that no matter how hard she may try, she sometimes fails to notice the rose-coloured glasses that make their way over her eyes.

    When Steph gets killed by Black Mask during the War Games, will Cass be able to move on? Will she be able to forgive Bruce? But most importantly, will she be able to continue her vigilante work? It may very well just be the end of Batgirl.

    In which I roughly base the events of the story around the Batgirl (2000) run, and also the Robin (1993) run.

Same as the others that tread upon this particular squick, that my introduction to them not being a family dynamic. I do believe I've stumbled upon a Steph-as-a-Rogue and Cass-as-Batman fic somewhere--that's the kind of dynamic I can get behind.

Despite not shipping it, do you have anything positive to say about it?

They do make wonderful friends and that can be the foundation for a great relationship.

Rose x anyone for the ship game

Any ship that Rose is in, is immediately chaotic and a just a little bit toxic but in a hot way. You guys see me rave about Jayrose enough, I already answered asks about Rosecass and Rosemia, but that leaves a handful Rose ships I haven't talked about.

Most of the other people I ship her with are based on vibes alone (Artemis, Jenny Quantum) or because they were cute in canon (Eddie bloomberg, Cassie Sandsmark, Raven in Teen Titans Go! Specifically, Rosebabs but from the DC Bombshells run) but there are a couple that are based solely on headcanons

Personal headcanon that Rose had a childhood crush on Donna Troy, so I don't know if that counts as a ship but I do think there's a lot you could do with these two characters together even if it's not my main ship for either of them.

Rose and Kyle slept together once, not because they were interested in each other, but because it gave Jason an aneurysm and they live to cause problems. These two as like, Jason's personal tormentors and biggest enablers is so real to me. Like if Jayroseeddie is Rose and Eddie as the devil and angel on Jason's shoulder, JayRoseKyle is if there were only two devils.

Rose and Stephanie, or RoseCasSteph is so real and so true. I think Cassteph is both of their healthiest ship and I think the spice of adding Rose in between them is so genuinely unmatched. Where's that one post where it's like it looks like they're making each other worse but they actually encourage each other to step outside of their comfort zones and give each other the confidence to stand up for themselves and they actually make each other better.

I just desperately want Steph and Cass to have main series outside of each other again not because they aren't friends, but because Cass and Steph deserve to be two distinct and wonderful people. Steph and Cass not cassteph you know?

Do y'all just have ships that like... You wouldn't be mad if they weren't canon, you just use them as excuses to protect your actual favorite ships? Like, I don't actually care about TimBer. But GODDAMNIT it keeps Tim away from Steph which eliminates that as a potential candidate to fuckover Cass's chances with Steph and I'm not having that. So now I defend TimBer.
