Justice League Unlimited headcannons part III

Green Lantern came up with the idea of patrols with Atom as a form of disciplinary punishment for being late. Absolutely no one is late for their shifts anymore.

Shooting contests were banned after Huntress and Green Arrow were showing off their skills and tried to ask people to stand in front of them with an apple on their heads.

Superman's birthday wish was to have a food fight in the canteen. Even Batman participated.

So I never loved the cannon that Alfred is an Ex MI-5 I just like that he is a normal guy whose family has worked in service and just carried on his family tradition and became a footman then got promoted to valet then to bulter.

Now I've been playing around in my head about how he comes to work at Wayne Manor. One where he originally worked for the Kane's (Martha's Family) and the other he worked at Wayne's summer home. One where he doesn't know either Martha or Thoams and just gets hired by a third party.

Anyway when Thomas and Martha get married and move into the Wayne Manor Alfred is not initially working there and joins the staff later (sometime after Bruce is born) he's not the head bulter he's a replacement footman or on-call carter waiter. But he keeps running to Bruce when he's on his own (doing an errun or for a smoke break seen here) And is always catching the boy doing something odd.

So they build this little bond on these little moments and Bruce grows to attach to Alfred which is why later on Alfred becomes Bruce's personal servant.

Also, there's no smoking allowed in Martha's garden so that's what Bruce is blackmailing him with.

It kinda bothers me how many dc characters have blue eyes so here’s some alternatives

Dick, Clark, and Diana still have blue eyes, but very different kinds.

Dicks eyes are dark blue, like the ocean. There’s hits of a lighter shade in there as well, the sky to match the sea.

Diana’s sometimes seem like more of a pale green, other times a light blue. Those who’ve faced her fury see only one shade- a stormy, haunting gray.

And then there’s Clark- Clark’s eyes are blue. Inhumanly blue- the closest approximation might be a husky’s. His glasses are slightly tinted, so people do notice his eyes glow. In the dark, they glow red.

Bruce has deep brown eyes. At night they look completely black- but every once in a while, the light catches them and they look like amber or gold

Jason and Barbara have green eyes. Barbara’s have flecks of yellow, Jason’s has flecks of blue

Damian’s are hazel, brown around the edge, with brilliant spots of emerald around his pupils. The were brown his whole life- until he died. Talia supposedly also had brown eyes at one point, but multiple dips in the Lazarus pit has drenched them the same emerald. The whites of Ras’s eyes are tinted a pale yellow to accompany his green.

Lois has incredible violet eyes, like Elizabeth Taylor

Jon, despite having two parents with rare eye colors, has a very normal middle toned blue.

Lexs eyes are green, like peridot- or kryptonite

I love the idea of Kon having Luthor’s eye color, but maybe the same glowing quality Clark has? Or the opposite, maybe- Clark’s shade of blue, if he had normal human eyes. Or, green w a blue stripe in them (I’ve seen that before irl). Maybe they look more like Jon’s than anything else

Tims eyes are black. Not even a dark brown, black. He thinks they’re ugly, but they’re so shiny, like black pearls.

And I have literally no preference for Selena’s eyes I think any color suites her

Headcannon:

The Riddler, (especially The BTAS version) would definitely come to your rescue in a shady situation by pretending to be your date.

You: I...I don't want any trouble

Goon: Oh yeah? I don't see anyone here swooping in to save you.

Riddler: (who has just appeared out of no where. He does that) Oh! There you are, Dear. I have been looking for you all over.

Goon: Tch. I'm supposed to be impressed? Mr.Question?

You:...Uhm.

Riddler: Oh, No. I wouldn't expect you to be impressed. Not without me trying At least. Think fast, if that's even possible for you. *throws a ring puzzle that handcuffs the goon*

Riddler: I'd say, he's dumbfounded now. Come along, Dear.

You: ....You...saved me. Why?

Riddler: I may be a criminal, My Dear. But I'm not a monster. I couldn't let that ape get his way. No need to thank me.

I'll be honest, I don't have a lot of headcanons for Hal, but I'll give you a couple since you asked so nicely:

Has the "Top Gun Anthem" as his ringtone.

Surprisingly (or perhaps unsurprisingly?) good at making paper airplanes.

Regularly goes roadtrippin' with Ollie.

No filter whatsoever, regularly says the first thing that comes to mind without thinking about the consequences.

Flies into space whenever he needs time to think. ]

I'm new and I would ask you about them but I don't know what we have in common (shows, games, ect), and I'm not very good when it comes to headcannons. I kinda have them, but only after I find someone else headcannon that I agree with and/or like. I have my own too but its hard to put them into words. (Most of what I'm talking about is Transformers Prime and Animated, as they are the most familiar to me. I know most of the characters pretty well.)

I don’t know much at all about Transformers I’m afraid, but my old IRL friend @wheeljak is a fan of the franchise.

Okay but Justice League Unlimited out of its way to showcase many different nuanced relationships and I love it so much so here’s my top 5 of JLU duets (romantic relationships excluded even though both wonderbat and greenhawk both started at the base of a friendship)

5. Wonder Woman and J’on Jonzz - they both have a sort of gravitas and treat the mission with seriousness. My heart melted when I saw Diana hug in the series finale and was so happy to see him, they definitely understood one another perfectly.

4. J’on J’onzz and Superman - alien outcast club aka two superpowerful dudes who treat their mission seriously too. I loved the Christmas episode with J’on spending the holidays at Kents, it was wonderful at many different levels. I also loved how J’on morphed his body to resemble Superman more right after Supes and Bats rescued him in the first episode.

3. Green Lantern and Flash - opposites who learn from one another, jokester and solider? I love all of their scenes, especially in the JL episodes they spent a lot of time together and it was always a treat

2. Shayera and Flash - two redheads with absolutely different temperaments. Wally being the only one to hug Shayera after the voting at the end of Satrcrossed, Shayera helping Wally to flirt with Fire? Very iconic, thank you

1. Batman and Green Lantern - this bromance lives my rent free, their best episode? The Once and Future Thing of course, the banter while sliding through time tunnel in GL’s bubble is just incredible. You can’t tell me they don’t think of one another as BFFs, the stoic Batman went ahead and

Superman and Cats

Ya know, I really Clark being more of a cat person than a dog person.

My friend once remarked something to me that I think is very important: people who love dogs but hate cats (especially men), are generally people with control issues. Personally, I consider it a red flag for someone to hate animals in general, but something about hating cats in particular seems insidious. Some dogs are great judges of character, but I’d say 9/10 if a cat doesn’t fuck with you, it’s a you problem.

Anyway, I don’t think Superman hates any animals, as he’s a) an angel, and b) a farm boy, but I like to think he has a soft spot for cats. He’s a little introverted, patient, respects boundaries, and he’s kind. Perfect for cats.

I can absolutely see Clark sneaking an injured kitty from the street into his apartment (despite the no pets policy) and giving her the quiet and space needed to get comfortable, absolutely touched when after several weeks of hiding she climbs on the couch and lays down next to him.

Clark taking in senior cats to shower them in love in their final days.

Clark fostering cats, or volunteering at a cat shelter, buying ads in the Daily Planet and writing fluff pieces, trying to get as many of them adopted as possible.

Clark blowing up Bruce’s phone (and later Selina’s...and Damian’s) with videos and pictures of cats with captions like “blep” or “thumbs!!”

Clark having hope in Lex’s humanity when he notices he has a cat- and then agreeing to take good care of little Jadeite while his daddy is in federal prison. When word breaks out that Superman is taking cash from Lex Luther, the scandal is very easily resolved- Kal-El can’t afford the cats very strict diet of Wagyu beef, salmon, caviar and more- not to mention he only drinks bottled water shipped from Finland. It’s bad enough the poor thing had to give up his personal chef, god forbid he eat fancy feast.

Clark’s subsequent shock/horror/existential crisis when Jadeite disrespects him by getting his pride and joy Paper Plate pregnant (and in his own home!!) and he has to split custody (and names) with his arch nemesis.

Just. Clark as a cat person.

Plus krypto is a stupid fucking character fuck that dog idc.

DC Character playlists

Hiya, I made some playlists on Spotify for batman, superman, Nightwing, and songs I think belong in a Batman movie.

Batman’s playlist features mostly classical and 1920s-50s music, with a few modern songs sprinkled in. I tried to stay away from edgy, angry music because I don’t think that’s who Bruce is. He’s not some angry, aimless meathead. He’s sophisticated, calculating, and sad. As an archetype, I find Bruce symbolizes a by-gone era- like a modern baron, one of the last surviving members of an empire. Old money, and acts like it.

Superman’s playlist is honestly mostly just songs that make me think of space, or just songs that I think have a quirky quality. No heavy brass or orchestral stuff, just a lot of synth.

Nightwing’s takes a little inspiration from both, big has a different character. I tried to diversify the types of music involved, so it might be a little whiplashy.

These aren’t necessarily songs I think the characters would listen to, but songs that just remind me of the characters for some reason or another.

Okay but remember that iconic JL episode in which Wonder Woman and Batman dance together? When Diana comes back to her hotel room at the break of dawn after partying with Princess of Kasnia, Audrey, Batman sits in a chair like a diva and gives her that no-nonsense, curt "You're up late" or something like this.

Sure, Batman has no time for having a love life and it's supposed to be contrasting with the playful playboy Wayne persona we've seen a few minutes before, but I think there was something more: Bruce was jealous as hell. In my personal headcanon this is the moment when Bruce realizes that Diana comes from a land with no men and of fucking course she would fall for a gorgeous blonde who's literal princess just like her and Alfred can you check how one can forge papers stating royal ancestry or something like this it's for reaserch purposes I swear

You know what would be awesome? If someone Started a dcau exclusive imagines/ headcannons/ matchups ect, writing blog. There are blogs like that specifically write for young justice , the batboys,and Arrowverse, why not the dcau

I tried it once but I deleted it when I realized I wasn’t consistent or talented enough as a writer to maintain it
