wiead in arfid recovery and trying to eat intuitively! also just ed recovery in general as i have struggled with anorexia and bulimia anddd bed in the past. makes the need of eating well very important too!
info of what i ate and a reminder under the cut!
oikos high protein yogurt with a little creamed honey mixed in for sweetness.. and 3 strawberries with granola! filling and delicious, i recommend for those trying to get more protein in!
buldak carbonara with a handful of greens, baby tomatoes, and sesame seeds. it isnt the most nutritious on its own so i added those for some extra energy and nutrients!
pasta from pizza place with onion, tomato, green pepper, and mushrooms! veggies are hard for me to eat so having them in a safe food like pasta makes things much easier :]
and lastly, a small bag of chips to prevent binging and some yummy lemonade! didnt take a picture but i had a few strawberry marshmallows too.
it's only 6:15 so if im hungry later i plan to have strawberries... can u tell i love strawberries.. /lh
i've also been drinking fluids all day,, pls always try to get 2L of water in a day! i have trouble drinking water so i usually drink half water and raspberry half sparkling water.
pls eat today!! you deserve it🫶
and finally, a reminder that my goal is not to lose weight in recovery. i am fat and i am comfortable with the body i am in. no matter someone's body, they deserve to nourish themself without care for diet culture expectations.

“America has no culture” is an inherently racist statement. Especially when talking about California, which has enormous populations (yes, plural) of Hispanic and Asian immigrants.
It’s such a self report that you see the American hegemony, the American monolith, as a singularly white entity that’s worthy of scorn. I want that person to look at the Black American NYC Miku design and tell me with their full chest that that isn’t culture. Especially when modern pop culture owes so much to Black American culture — hip hop, language, streetwear and fashion, pop music, jazz — as is actively erasing their roots, saying all of America has no culture is a dumbass statement.
Also, “all the US Mikus are dressed in generic casual street style for coolish weather.” The original Brazilian Miku is wearing sunglasses, a crop top, short shorts, a bikini, and flip flops you absolute dunce. If you’re gonna be rude at least be consistent.

Hey, if you're wanting to make some changes to how you eat, remember- it's much easier, healthier, and more sustainable to ADD foods that make you feel good than it is to REMOVE foods.
If you feel like you don't drink enough non-sugary fluids, it makes more sense to try drinking more tea and sparkling water than it does to just avoid soda. You gotta add in the good (and remember, that the only value food has is how it makes YOU feel. Food is morally nuetral and should be enjoyed.)
Try:
Adding a handful of easy produce to lunch and dinner- baby carrots or cherry tomatoes, something 0 prep. And yes, you are allowed to dip it in dressing! (The fats can make it easier for your body to absorb the vitamins in the veggies)
Adding a cheese stick or yogurt to breakfast. The protein is good and can help you wake up faster.
Adding some roasted nuts to your afternoon snack. (ADD, not replace.) That variety and little protein boost will do you good!
Have a glass of tea, sparkling water, or juice each time you have food. Let's be honest- you aren't hydrated enough. Go buy yourself some Kool Aide mix if that'll make you drink more water! Really!
If you struggle with binge eating sugary foods and it makes you feel yuck when the sugar crash comes- eat 1 or 2 pieces of chocolate with lunch and dinner. Every day. Really. Make it not a big deal. Make it not special. Make it something you can expect, instead of crave. Let yourself enjoy it without guilt.
Remember- food is a gift. It should bring you joy, not stress. Trust your body. Enjoy the cookie. Drink something tasty.

Another piece of diet culture to unlearn: that eating an "unhealthy" food negates the benefits of other nutritious things you've eaten. Put bacon and ranch on your salad? Congratulations, you still got a lot of fiber, that's great for your gut biome, and the veggies still contain nutrients. Finished up your dinner with a dessert? You still ate the dinner. You don't have to eat "pure" to take in nutrition from your meals.

as an indian person, my favourite thing is seeing what people who aren't from here have done with my food; i'll go to an indian restaurant in a random corner of the world and they're putting oregano in their palak paneer or a balsamic wash on their naan and it's like "yes good tell me how you folded your culture into mine and came out with something new and lovely, we're holding hands across oceans bestie"

Ummmmm I just came home from a Filipino Jewish bakery and y’all…
Filipino Jews have won Purim and maybe the entire baked goods category.
I don’t wanna brag but I’ve acquired an ube challah and an ube hamantaschen and that doesn’t even touch the variety of pandan offerings they had. Omg. This is easily the best discovery I’ve made in my city.
And yes, they ship nationally so I will be ordering from them when I move away.
