💗Diet Smart - Stop Feeling Hungry💗
we simply deserve beauty and peace
1. Hydrate
Sometimes hunger is just thirst in disguise.
Sip on water, herbal teas or infused beverages to keep cravings at bay. Plus, your skin clears, flushes out toxins and it‘ll give you a natural glow

2. Hunger Shields
Lean proteins, such as chicken, tofu or lentils, and fiber-packed foods, like chia seeds, oats and veggies keep you full.
They are a must-have in every diet.
+ Smart Snacking
healthy and satisfying snacks come hand in hand with a rich diet. A hand full of almonds, a boiled egg, a Banana or apple slices with nut butter can be mighty. Just be extra careful with the amount, especially on nuts. They are healthy, but have lots of calories that can easily bring you out of your deficite.

3. Slow Down
Chew slowly, savor the flavors. Your body needs time to register fullness. Eating is an act of mindflussness, create the time you need. Appreciate the fact that you are able to have a meal on your plate. Be thankful, you are blessed 💕🙏🏻
4. Embrace Volume Eating
Load your plate with low-calorie nutrient-dense foods like leafy greens, cucumbers, carrots, broccoli or else. You can always add veggies to your plate. They are filling and healthy.
Also, choose Potatos over rice and noodles. I will die on that hill. They are low calorie and more than filling and low in calorie.
5. Search Distraction
Hunger can easily just be boredom.
Dive into a book, sketch, take a walk, study, go for a walk, water your plants, chat with friends and family.
Keeps your body and mind busy.
6. Respect Real Hunger
Eating is a blessing. Respect your bodys function and fulfill its needs. The fact that you choose a nutritious meal is the sign of a strong mindset. Dont punish your body with damaging food, such as sweets and sugary liquors, just to satisfy a craving. It deserves the right treatment. Care for your body by eating and that in a healthy, filling way.💗💗💗

ʜᴏᴡ ᴛᴏ ʙᴇ ʟɪᴋᴇ ʜᴇᴅʏ ʟᴀᴍᴀʀʀ
i must admit that she is one of the most inspiratión for me <3
Hedy Lamarr is a fantastic role model for her combination of beauty, intelligence, and innovative spirit.
1. Cultivate Intellectual Curiosity
Hedy Lamarr was not just a movie star; she was an inventor whose work on frequency-hopping communication laid the foundation for technologies like Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. To be like her:
Learn Continuously: Read widely about science, technology, arts, or any field that excites you. Online platforms like Coursera, edX, and Khan Academy are great starting places.
Embrace Problem-Solving: Identify problems in your environment and think about creative solutions. Consider keeping a notebook for ideas.
2. Pursue Your Passions
Hedy balanced her acting career with her scientific endeavors.
Explore multiple interests, even if they seem unrelated. For example, if you enjoy the arts, pursue them while diving into STEM, business, or another field.
Dedicate time to your hobbies and work toward excelling in them.
3. Prioritize Self-Expression
Hedy was admired for her style and confidence.
Develop Your Style: Find clothing, makeup, and hairstyles that make you feel your best. Experiment until you discover what works for you.
Build Confidence: Confidence comes from knowing yourself and being proud of yourself. Practice self-love and positive affirmations.
4. Develop Critical Thinking
Hedy questioned conventional thinking and challenged norms.
Practice critical thinking by analyzing the information you encounter and seeking evidence before forming conclusions.
Join debates, participate in discussions, or write about topics you're passionate about to sharpen your analytical skills.
5. Stay Resilient
Hedy faced numerous challenges, from personal struggles to having her ideas dismissed during her lifetime.
Embrace Failure: See setbacks as opportunities to learn.
Stay Determined: If you’re passionate about something, keep pushing forward, even if the path isn’t easy.
6. Network and Collaborate
Hedy collaborated with composer George Antheil to develop her frequency-hopping technology.
Surround yourself with inspiring and supportive people.
Seek mentors or collaborators in areas you want to grow.
7. Take Care of Your Health
Hedy maintained her beauty by taking care of herself.
Focus on physical health with regular exercise and a balanced diet.
Cultivate inner beauty by managing stress through meditation, mindfulness, or creative outlets.
8. Advocate for Your Ideas
If you have a vision or project, be bold about sharing it, as Hedy did with her inventions. Develop your communication and persuasion skills to bring others on board.
We love being pretty and extremely intelligent <3

Tips on How to Get Things Done (as someone with ADHD)
𓆝 𓆟 𓆞 𓆝 𓆟 𓆝 𓆟 𓆞 𓆝 𓆟𓆝 𓆟 𓆞 𓆝 𓆟 𓆝 𓆟 𓆞 𓆝 𓆟
DISCLAIMERS:
I am not a professional; this is just what worked for me and may not work for everyone.
TIP 1: NOT DOING SOMETHING COMPLETELY IS BETTER THAN NOT DOING IT AT ALL
You don't think you can drink 2 liters of water a day? Don't focus on that. Can you drink a sip of water now? DRINK THAT SIP OF WATER IF THAT'S ALL YOU CAN DO. Now, everyone's limits are different, so you choose for yourself what you can do.
TIP 2: STAND UP. JUST STAND UP.
Is this connected to the last tip? Yes. But is this the most important (at least to me) thing? Absolutely. If you can't drink that sip of water because you just can't move, and you can't eat, or shower, or just do anything.. Stand up. Yes, it may be hard, and probably one of the hardest of the basics, but that is exactly why it's important.
The first step is often the hardest. Standing up is the first step. All you have to do is try.
TIP 3: DON'T SIT DOWN.
Once you stand up, don't sit down. Not even when you're doing the task. Not even for a break. Not until you're done. Because you probably know damn well you're not going to get anything done once you sit down. And you're going to have to spend once again so much effort to stand back up.
TIP 4: OKAY, BUT HOW DO I DO SOMETHING NOT COMPLETELY? BREAK IT INTO BITE-SIZE PIECES.
Do you have to write an essay, for example? You can break it down into small, bite-sized pieces (steps).
Stand up -> Find your notebook/computer -> Open your notebook/computer -> Take out a pencil/Open the mindmap website (eg, Canva) -> Write down one idea -> Write down another idea.. and so on.
Now that you have broken these into bite-sized pieces, you can make yourself just do one of the pieces. Maybe you can do one more piece, or maybe you can't, but I find it easier to "open your notebook" than to "start writing your essay".
This can go for more basic tasks, like brushing your teeth as well.
Stand up -> Go to the bathroom -> Take your toothbrush from your cup -> Wet the toothbrush -> Put toothpaste onto the brush -> Brush it for 10 seconds/30 seconds/ideally 2 minutes.
I hope this goes without saying, but there is no right way to do this. It may be unfinished, but at least you did something.
TIP 5: IF YOU HAVE THE ENERGY FOR SPITE, DO IT OUT OF SPITE.
Centre all of your hate, frustration, spite, pettiness, etc, all the emotions that make you lose control, and use that energy to DO THINGS. Use the emotions as fuel. (Obviously, if you have no motivation, you probably can't do this, but keep this in mind.)
OTHER TIPS:
Body doubling (or just hopping on a call with someone)
Hype music (Music that makes you feel powerful)
Theatre music (If you're a theatre kid) and sing it. If you like to act a bit, just dramatise it a bit.
Procrastination isn't bad as long as you get things done in the end
Going outside usually reduces the numbness
Don't stay at home for 7 hours straight during the day if you can
Make plans to do things for accountability
Open your eyes really wide (unhinged but try this)
Breathe really loudly and take in as much air as you can in one breath
Stretching saves lives
𓆝 𓆟 𓆞 𓆝 𓆟 𓆝 𓆟 𓆞 𓆝 𓆟𓆝 𓆟 𓆞 𓆝 𓆟 𓆝 𓆟 𓆞 𓆝 𓆟
I hope this has been helpful :) If you can, stand up and go have a sip of water.

Lol not to brag but I was meeting with the assistant of the grad program I want to apply for and she pulled up my transcript and yelled "HOLY SHIT!"
#we were both so professional up until that point asdfghfds#which was silly of us because we're chummy anyway#one of the things i am MOST proud of in my life is my time in school#getting all A's and A+'s (except for ONE B+ in my first year aaaaasdfgdsfghfgd) / getting scholarships and bursaries -#- and then getting a job at the school in my field...... i'm so fucking proud of myself#and i'm so glad i'm not dead ofc and that i pulled myself out of the pit i was in for so long#shit was fucking HARD for so many years but it's what i'm passionate about so.#the grad program assistant told me she had never seen that many A+s in her entire career and now i need to be humbled STAT.#i'm actually very humble and shy irl and i just never talk about my grades or accomplishments because why would i do that lol#never kill yourself you might learn how to self-motivate and then become an example of a successful student#< i work with students to be clear so i'm always encouraged to ''share my success story''#i don't think my parents actually realize how much work i put in and how big of a deal all of this is#but you know what? fuck them then :]#i can say that lmao i financed the vast majority of my studies on my own#there's a certain genre of queer people who had parents who never said they were proud of them and rarely hugged them -#- who go on to work their asses off even and esp in a field that's deemed useless (hi i'm liberal arts) -#- and their parents still have no interest in what they do or how hard they worked because now they feel threatened by their smart kid#i swear this is a thing. i've talked to so many people#so basically if you don't hug your kids and say you're proud of them they will grow up to be smart and hardworking SDFGHFDS#wrong message i'm sending

ive started to really despise self help posts because all they do for me is illustrate just how apparently fucked i am compared to most other people
#vent#bloody hell#like gods this shit works for you??#such bullshit#i know its not good to be mad at other people for being happier than you#but fuck dude why cant i ever get a win bigger than ''fine i guess i dont wanna kill myself''#like thats great and all but im still in the exact same hole as before!#ive never even needed self help posts in the first place- all i need is to pull myself together and fix things#... no thats a lie. i havent been able to do that in years.#call it lack of energy or motivation or willpower or whatever#nowadays even when people like my brother try to help me as much as they know how#i just cant manage to try#i tried so hard for years and where did that get me? burnout 2 electric boogaloo#i can try to light the spark like i used to as much as i want#never gonna catch if theres nothing left to burn#cant even slow down#because i know that wont fix anything#ill be just as exhausted as before because my energy levels are perpetually at 0 i guess.#''just try harder'' WHY???#WHY ARE YOU TRYING IN THE FIRST PLACE??#what is giving you the motivation to keep pushing on like that??#what could possibly be so important to you that its worth ALL OF THIS!??#i dont understand#i remember i used to push on despite everything#but there was no reason. i was fighting cause what else could i do?#but as soon as i realized that i ran out of steam. not quite the same when you realize youre ruining yourself for literally no reason#because you never considered doing anything else#what a fucking joke

“Look for the strengths in yourself” this. “Your trauma doesn’t define you or make you inherently wrong” that. Do it out of spite. Value yourself out of spite.
What? Those douchebags told you that you weren’t worth anything? Fuck them! Treat yourself like you’re worth something! Get back at those fuckers!
Those assholes conditioned you into thinking you were terrible by treating you like shit? Condition yourself back! Keep valuing yourself and doing self care over and over until you drown them out. Until they’re as stupid and small in your brain as they are in real life.
Fucking win the emotional manipulation game! Win it! Draw something shit because it makes you feel happy! What, you can’t say no to people because you’re not worth as much as them? Fuck that! Say no all the time! Treat yourself like the most important person in the universe because they would hate it!
#so had a epiphany with a client the other day#essentially this#spite is the best way to do anything#and yes I’m in the mental health field#which would shock the tumblr bot who saw my blog and tried to send me to a therapy blog#which was adorable but jesus#and shocking to people who’ve commented saying I’m way to cynical about mental health and asking if I’m okay#I’m so unbelievably stable I help other people get stable lmao#it’s just sometimes the sunshine and rainbows approach works for people#and sometimes it doesn’t#and I’m just incredible super blunt about how I feel and experience things#which is sometimes yucky when it’s mental health or cptsd or my experience being neurodivergent in this society#you have points when your brain isn’t gonna believe that you’re good#that things can get better#rationally you will but emotionally your brain has conditioned itself out of hope and self regard#so sometimes you gotta motivate yourself with anger and spite#those assholes don’t deserve your life#and then you’ll get to the actual hope and happy feelings point#and then you’ll drop again#because this is how it works#and yucky emotions are not always bad or shameful#sometimes spite and anger is justified and can motivate you to change#sometime stress helps you survive#sometimes sadness helps you stop and realise somethings wrong#fuck depression though that one is just bad#(I’m kidding lmao)#seriously for me who gets depressive spirals often#and likely will for my entire life#depression feelings tells me I haven’t been making time for myself#and I’m overwhelmed

That post about guilt and shame only being effective as deterrents but not in inspiring anyone to change their behavior in any meaningful way got me thinking about those other posts about progressive circles consisting way too much of people not with a desire to do something right but instead with a fear of doing something wrong, and...
Yeah. Those two are related. Guilt and shame are the weapons of the status quo, designed to instill in everyone with a conscience a fear of failure, of hurting others, of being a bad person. And it's pretty fucked up when people are being shamed for that, since, well, shame doesn't inspire any meaningful change. So the problem persists, deepens, even. Since by shaming someone for not getting over that shame, you've now discouraged them from thinking about that instilled shame and maybe finding a solution.
It's shame and guilt all the way down. Perhaps shame and guilt could be used against people who tend to shame and guilt others in order to shame and guilt them out of shaming and guilting others? I don't know. And that's a true shame.
#random thought of the day#shame#guilt#toxic guilt#yeah it's a pickle#i kinda feel this way of thinking is deeply ingrained in the modern hyperindividualistic worldview#which ignores everything we know about humans as a social species shaped by our social circumstances#in favor of this very catholic guilt inspired 'stop being naughty' mindset that whips people into obedience never into self-actualization#as i wrote in the tags of the other post frustration is one of the most dangerous feelings since shaming and guilting starts there#if you look at the world around you and think you see the problem and the solution but others won't listen to you#it's natural to feel frustrated#the desire to shame and guilt others in a twisted way try to make them spring into action seems like a natural response#but it's stupid and wrong#shame and guilt are primarily ways to make yourself feel good in the moment to stroke that sense of superiority#i look back at how i was raised and i understand that a lot of the hesitancy and self-doubt and other paralyzing feelings are guilt#if you were raised to always doubt yourself always assume that you're in the wrong always take others at their word#you were raised to be a perfect victim#it's really hard to push through that and the metacognitive capabilities one must have to monitor all of that are staggering#meanwhile people who were raised through inspiration and motivation can be immune to guilt and shame#so what are we even doing here why is it so easy to fall back on a method that at best has little effect at worst increases the problems#there is a lot to say about this and i wish i had an answer but alas

saw a poll "how many books have you read so far this year"—and you know there's nothing wrong with tracking your reading and i get why it's popular to do. but oh my god. every time i see something like that, i'm like "thank god for my ocd's sake that i've never done that"
#i get moderately compulsive about counting and comparing things like page and chapter numbers in current-and-recent reads#i keep my list of things i want to read in the near future small on purpose#the ONE time i tried to make a reading list for a month. about a year ago. i hated it and i didn't stick to my own rules#lol#i officially have No Opinion on reading goals but i knoooow. without ever having done them. it'd destroy my love for reading#plus i'd feel like my number would be inaccurate of my reading experience bc i read shorter titles (plays) often#and how do you even count poetry? i do not read poetry books. like. cover-to-cover. nor do i usually wish to#but i still read lots of poetry#the fact that my reading is always spontaneous and self-motivated is what keeps me going#i agree w jared henderson's suggestion of having 'reading projects' rather than reading goals. that resonated with me rather#bc wanting to complete the plays of shakespeare was definitely an ongoing 'reading project' without me thinking of it as one#and after i finished those i wanted to do smth else. which is why i'm in paradise lost currently but taking my sweet time#like i'll finish one book (the sections are called 'books') and take a couple weeks to start the next#im looking forward to being done w pl but i'm only like 60 percent through it lol#i've kind of got several ongoing reading projects going on now that i think of it. some of which i abandon#read what you wanna read! never let yourself lose your love for reading#tales from diana
