jason knows how it feels to carry the mark of something on your skin and he couldn't bear the thought of you carrying a scar he made on you if you both ever got into a nasty breakup. the constant reminder of his existence, of his touch on your body there cutted on your skin like an ugly stain of some bad dream, something you got out of the worse nightmare you ever had.

I wanted to match up animals which would suit J the best, with the main goal to focus on strenght and stealth. I thought it would be funny when J uses his bat wings (he can't fly) as comouflage to scared the hell out of his prey/victims

Ever since I saw Falin's dragon design, I fell deeply in love. Her form is majestic and flashy but overall lacks a lot of function. So I aimed for some practical forms :))

My opinion on voices (Sonic and Shadow mostly), both official and fan VA

Sonic - the official

The voice I'm most fond on is the one of Ryan Drummond in the Adventure games, while I didn't appreciate much how he sounded in Heroes. It was the first time I head a convincing Sonic Voice, after years of hearing Pietro Ubaldi in Italy (Pietro Ubaldi is known to dub cat characters. All male cats in anime were dubbed by him in the '90s'. If Big the cat was in Sonic Satam, I think the Italian VA would have been Pietro Ubaldi. His voice didn't work much on Sonic, indeed right now Sonic Italian VA is Renato Novara, a lovely voice for him).

I was happy Sonic had his voice too, like Mario. Ryan's natural voice is very deep. Deeper than RCS', I was surprised hearing him talk naturally. But he made Sonic sound like a loud and cheerful teenager.

Jason Griffith was also a great Sonic. Not so great in Sonic X, but in videogames he had a strong reminescence of Ryan. Maybe he even sounded more natural. Unlike Ryan, Jason's natural voice is not so deep and i think his voice sounds cute at times. To be honest, I can't choose between the two.

My opinion on Roger Craig Smith's voice is not that great. I don't like how he sounds, not even in Frontiers, his voice is too deep and too serious for Sonic. Some suggested that he should dub Shadow, they even did videos with Shadow with RCS voice when he dubbed more mature characters. But, personally, I think he is a bad Sonic and would make a bad Shadow.

Hearing Deven Mack in Sonic Prime was a big relief. His voice is very goofy and lively, yet gentle and soft, I think it was perfect, it portrays Sonic's personality and emotions, is versatile and I hoped for him to became the new Sonic voice. Unfortunately we got RCS back.

Fan VA

As for fan VA , the first that comes to my mind is Pixelrush. I was surprised that a goofy voice would sound so good on Sonic.

LittleGameBoy5 sounds very dark. I can't say I hate his voice. He dubs the gloomy Sonic from Idol Amy, so it suits. He is also capable to be goofy when needed.

PatchToons, (Sonic and Amy Squad) dubs all male Sonic Characters but Tails. And Mario who is the guest, making all of them sound recognizable as their own. For Sonic, it seems to me he is referring on RCS, because the voice he uses is quite low.

Shadow - The officials

I've read more than once that Shadow's voice is supposed to sound beautiful.

Anyway, My favourite VA for Shadow is David Humphrey, and his interpretation is fairly different than the others that followed. He dubbed Shadow in his debut game and in Heroes. I think the first thing that I noticed is the low volume of his voice. This underlines a thoghful personality. He also spoke very clear. The voice sounded youthful and smooth and the range of emotion was large, Shadow was a grieving kid, but he was also mischievous, and you could clearly hear that. David sounded so good because that was his natural voice.

I also like Jason Griffith. He's not David and he makes Shadow sounds too mature at times, but he clearly captures his melancholy. Like for Sonic, he may sound cute. Many complain about Jason's voice being wispering/breathy when he does Shadow, but I like that. I think it underlines Shadow's quietness. Although I know some taciturn people who are loud talkers, usually when you aren't use to talk, your voice loses strenght.

Jason's Shadow can also sound playful. In Sonic Zero gravity Shadow is having fun and you can hear that.

There is not much from Ryan Drummond as Shadow. He had to imitate David, so I don't know what his take would have been, but unlike many I think he didn't sound like Kirk.

Now is better to restrict myself because what I think about Kirk Thornton's voice is... how to say? Kirk's voice is... uhmm, not very beautiful. I don't complain about the pitch but I can't stand the raspiness, he makes Shadow sounds always angry and murderous even when he is not supposed to sound like that. The famous 'You got this Sonic!' sounds angry when it shouldn't have had. The voicelines I heard on YT were at best embarrassing.

Is unfortunate because Kirk's natural voice is not bad at all. And in one interview he made a good Sonic impression. I think he might be better as Sonic.

In first episodes of Sonic Prime, Ian Hanlin didn't made a good impression. He was so loud. But when Shadow had to talk for long (longer than he ever talked) in the episode 9 and when he appeared in the following episodes, I coul hear the voice I was used to, soft spoken and soothing. He shouted in the first episode for a good reason.

Fan VA

The first that I think about is Crazy Greg. He dubs in Idol Amy and has his own Youtube channel and is active for a while. Clearly he bases his dubbing style on Jason Griffith, but his voice is very iconic, powerful and feels so Shadow-like, many think SEGA should hire him.

Another VA I like has a unequivocal username... Shadow the Hedgehog, known also as Hit the Julz. He is normally a loud talker and has a goofy voice. I was surprised when he started to write serious stories with Shadow as protagonist, played them in cinematic VRchat and dubbed him... his voice suddenly sounded so soft and sad... and still recognizable as his own.

SimitarchVOs is interesting... his voice is quiet but also raspy and deep, certainly not beautiful... and yet is charming and fun, a bit sad, it sounds like somebody who went through a lot of tragedies in his life and is now trying to find peace. He mostly dubs with Pixelrush.

In one VRchat video he makes very good Sonic impression, with a loud and high voice.

Shadow759 and Vindo (Both dub for Sasso Studio, but Shadow759 has his own page with his own videos) sound natural. They just speak calmly but they don-t go too far from theri natural voices, a bit like David Humphrey. This make them sound really smooth. Shadow759 also makes a good Silver. He is alittle less convincing as Sonic though.

Last, PatchToons from Sonic and Amy Squad, with his soothing, quiet and slightly breathy interpretation of Shadow. Interestingly, for Sonic he refers to RCS. But for Shadow he makes him sounds like a mix of David and Jason.

There are so many fan VA around, both good and bad. I choose to talk about those that i like most, but there are so many good fan VA around. Too many to be mentioned.

There is no point on talking about fan VA I don't like.

Hi im back on my DC shit. Listen I will never really get into the comics. But character analysis?? That I can get into.

If you had to make me choose between Superman and Batman, I would say Superman. I don't think its really tapped into in the comics or shows (they mostly potray him as powerful and kind and that's that), but I love the possible analysis of "which alter ego is the REAL Clark". As in, who represents his personality more. Is Clark really the shy reporter that hides behind glasses and a slouching posture? Or is he the extroverted and kindhearted Superman?

My answer, in this case, would be both. Superman allows him to be more outgoing, show his strenght in full and all sides of his personality. Clark Kent is also himself, a more shy and insecure human side, that still retains the heart of gold that his superhero self has.

But I will never deny that Batman, as an analysis subject, is magnificently complex.

Because Bruce Wayne is a broken boy living in the adult body of a man. He lost his parents in a horrific accident, right in front of his very eyes, and never recovered. He had Alfred, of course, and he became a father figure too, but you don't just move on from that. And his answer was to avoid that pain through dedicating himself to fight crime. He left everything aside to become the protector of the city, completely neglecting to adress the emotional wreck he was after the tragedy.

And so, Bruce Wayne didn't only hide his pain through one mask, but two: the playboy, his public side that has no issues at all, that is vain and searches for pleasure and profit only; and Batman, the stoic dark knight of gotham, who keeps everybody at arms lenght in distrust.

Thus, Bruce Wayne the human being, the one who is emotionally broken, remains in the shadows of these two figures, and only sees the light of day with a select few. After all, Bruce has the BatFamily. It isnt only his protective instinct, its his inner self thoroughly relating with those kids and wanting to protect them from what happened to himself.

That stink is one I will always remember along with my fear and rage, everytime I know it was our own, but what it meant is what I hate the most. Hmm, I can't open my eyes....maybe this is after an interrogatory, but I don't understand when I ended here again. Whatever, it will end the same every time, it always does.

Uh? Why aren't my wounds hurting worse? Almost like if someone was treating them. But...we didn't had any medic with us! There's no way this is-!

"She's waking up!"

No...no, no, no! Please no! Not them!

The bars are a known thing for me, I wasn't able to hold onto them the last time. Now, even if I have to crawl, I will break this shit one way or another. And even then...this doesn't break, no matter the strenght I apply, it won't break! Why?! It always did before!

I can't answer, not because I don't have voice, but because I've lost my words. The horror paralizes me as I see how this kid now has blood dripping down his mouth as he speaks, and when I look behind him...everything is the same way it was. Eddie is filled of cuts, just looking at me with foggy and lost eyes, not again, not like Sean.

Noah and Elijah have a shot each one, precise shots that keep bleeding. Nicholas is burned...absolutely burned to the bones, Eliiot and Marcus are beaten and half-dead, this can't be happening, not again. And Alexander and Francis, how they were felt like a stab, those sad and insane eyes, it was just like Jason's.

"Can we go home?" their voices merge in one and it drills through my head

"Captain" someone called for me but I couldn't recognize the voice anymore "Captain!"

Alicia straightened up covered in sweat, with her heart racing inside her ribcage and tears running down her face. She felt uncapable of breathing, and she was shaking violently trying to calm herself, at the same time she felt goosebumps. The darkness seemed a familar one, but her mind was slow to process it correctly, while the voices dissapeared bit by bit.

Someone knocked on the window glass, making her look up just to sigh deeply when she saw Xiao Chen outside, sitting on the little stone balcony. She gave up to even try and ignore her, just opening the window, staring at the traficant. The woman looked at her, without her usual sly smile, just tilting her head and looking at her with some pity.

"You were screaming, darling" Xiao Chen said with a little sigh " is everything alright?"

"Why do you care exactly?" she growled with tired rage

"Your hellish scream didn't let me sleep and I got worried" said with forced humor

"Stop lying, I'm sure you want to use it against me"

"Are you always so narrow minded?"

"What?"

"You always seem to think that I'll do something to you or I'll use anything against you and yours"

"The first time we met you said you hated people like me, and to be honest, I HATE people like you" Alicia hissed furious without looking at her "bastards who will destroy everything and will do anything to get what they want. I hate that you do everything without caring, always rotting and kicking the people when they're down"

"It's true that I use what I have to take advantage" she said with a sigh "but...I never kick when someone is on a really bad place"

"Bullshit"

"C'mon, why do you think I didn't make you pay the first time you were on Seoul? I kinda judge you wrongly the first time, I thought you were a hypocrite that did the same as I do while preaching of being a good and righteous person"

Alicia scoffed without believing Xiao Chen's words, but then the traficant pointed towards the village where Black Swan was staying, and she looked there. The Captain got surprised when she noticed how some silent vehicles were moving, only the bigger house had some lights, but the rest of the lights were off. She looked at Xiao Chen, who sighed with some nostalgia and sadness, before going back to look again at the landscape.

"You...you're evacuating them" she said with a soft voice

"Well yeah, they're like me. I won't do anything to them"

"Why?"

"Because being extorted and loose everything for someone like that is something I know perfectly...and I despise it"

"Then why do you accepted Black Swan's territories?"

"If isn't me, someone else will take over it and be just like Black Swan" Xiao Chen said with a sigh "I was lying when I said I'd do as them, the people only pay me what they consider fair every month and I leave them alone"

"Right, and what about you being a procurer?"

"What with it? Do you think I treat them like objects?" the woman asked with a frown "or is that you don't like what they do?"

"...I have nothing against them, or against any sexworker, it's just that I don't know how good they can be treated by someone like you"

Alicia nodded while Xiao Chen crossed to another room, then to another and so on, leaving her there to contemplate the evacuation in the middle of the night. She sighed deeply, then she knew that going back to sleep was impossible, so she went silently to the armory. In absolute silence she prepared her weapons for the raid, but her hands were shaking when she noticed the lockers where the boys kept their equipment, the fear wasn't gone.

The thought of failing again and see that again...was terrifying , and just made stronger her conviction of protecting them under any cost.

At dawn, the Specters moved with the line connected to Wraity's terminal, and with Golden Empress' hitmen surrounding the village. Most of them were surprised to see how all the houses were empty, but Alicia briefly explained what happened last night, leaving her team with a mix of relieve and distrust. In just seconds they all got posicioned around the place, Alexander over the roofs while Elijah moved silently towards the windows, looking for the first enemies, and then the rest of the team prepares to the entrance.

Elijah gave his report through the radio, there were many hitmen inside, all of them were heavily armed. They all got inside, starting the shooting to use the element of surprise to their advantage, taking as much people as they could. Noah threw a grenade, filling the room with smoke and lights once it exploded, then Marcus, Luke and Alicia moved in front using the hall columns as covering.

Alicia almost had a heart attack when she saw how Edward was so near of being hit by a bullet of a rifle, but forced herself to concentrate and continue with the shooting. The time passed around them as they continued forcing their entrance into the goddamned house, with Chen's back up helping them to do so. Finally they arrived to the room where Black Swan should be, but seconds before Elijah and Elliot could use the ram to open the door, Alicia managed to hear a click that she knew so well and turned to look at her soldiers.

"Assault rifle! Get away from the door!" she ordered with the fear running through her veins

The door was pierced by bullets in seconds, while Alicia muttered for herself, waiting for the opportunity. When she came to zero, the bullets stopped, and with a sign all of them moved inside. Luke shot Black Swan three times, to prevent them of running away, but they just cursed all of them with absolute hate.

"Hmm, a long time have passed since I saw this kind of tactic" Alicia muttered with a chill down her spine as she took the G3 rifle from the floor

"A german rifle?" Elijah asked, confused "but Green Chameleon used soviet guns"

"They are branches, they all work on their own but report to the same person" she said with a sigh "we shouldn't expect any kind of consistency from any of them"

Soon Xiao Chen arrived, with her clothes stained with blood, looking at Black Swan with absolute hate. The soldiers looked away, disgusted of what the traficant would do, except Alicia...she looked as she felt a familiarity on that person's face. And just like she said during that first reunion, Xiao Chen forcefully opened Swan's mouth with a deep frown on her face.

"Hear me out, fucking parasite" she hissed taking out her own knife "you'll become a message to your peers, the consecuenses of meddling in my territory and in my bussiness. So do me a favor and don't die that quick, yeah?"

With a clean movement, Golden Empress cut Black Swan's tongue and let them fell down as they squirmed of pain trying to scream, but to no use. Then she looked at Alicia, who was still confused, and sighed slightly since she knew the real name of Black Swan.

"Are you wondering who that is?" asked as their people took the dying person away

"Why? Do you know who they are?"

Xiao Chen whispered a name on Alicia's ear, leaving her pale as a ghost, looking to the void. The traficant didn't said anything else to her, but extended a huge envelope, sealed, towards Jackson. When he doesn't took it, she rolled her eyes with frustration, this was getting boring quicker than she expected.

"Listen boy, this is something that'll help your boss" she said, throwing it to him "do whatever you want with it, if these kind of people had it with them...then you have something way bigger in your hands that you think"

Then Xiao Chen walked away, coordinating their people to reubicate the people that evacuated yesterday, while the Specters stayed there in silence. All of them reacted slowly, while the shock and adrenaline fog fading, and Jackson started to read the content of the envelope with a bad feeling. For a while silence fell on the environment, and finally Alicia reacted, taking a shaky breath to bring herself back to reality.

"A-alicia, what is this?" Jackson asked, with a surprising fear in his voice, that shocked everyone

"Huh? What do you-?"

"I-is this really the original one?" he asked, giving her the papers "that's why it is redacted..."

Alicia closed her eyes, knowing exactly what that was, the only thing that wasn't locked under a hundred locks. She took it and just reading the number on the top...she knew it, that was her original medical record, all the wounds she had from her time captured were there. In a second she stared to the notes from the medic that treated her, some of them referring to the escape, and then looked at Jackson.

"How did you even moved with that?" he asked with fear

"...It doesn't matter" she said with a deep sigh and lifeless eyes "it all ended so long ago"

"Alicia, those wounds-"

"I know, I know, it should've killed me"

"Then why...?"

"I rather keep it to myself" Alicia answered, handing it back "do me a favor, will you? Burn this or tear it apart, I don't care"

Jackson took it back, and then Alicia walked outside in absolute silence, but with her hands shaking. But as the blonde SEAL looked back to the papers, and while he told the rest of the team about it, leaving outside the confidenciality for now, a question arose into his mind.

backstory

Persephone and Hestia were getting sick of the gods and their arrogant kids, herculas for example was little shit, they wanted someone good, someone that could keep the gods in line and be a good hero, they slowly started gathering goddesses, Nyx and Asteria agreed with the cause, chaos and gaia just wanted an heir but it didn't matter they had their gods now they just needed to a mortal parent to raise the kid, and they saw it, James Evergreen, a college ancient greek professor and an enjoyer of classical of ballet.

Once i was born Persephone didn't want to let me go but i couldn't be raised in the underworld so I was raised in the mortal world but Persephone couldn't help but pay me visits as couldn't my other mothers. I jump roped with Hestia and bought flowers from Persephone everyday, the starts somehow always looked brighter as i stared at them every night, the forest seemed to make a fun adventure for me every time i visited, chaos always protecting me as i ran through my young life full of life with no regards of actually keeping it.

I think your strenght as a writer is your ability to describe situations so vividly. When i read your fics (which is every fucking day), i can Close my eyes and be able to imagine every single thing. you write so beautifully, and i love your characterisation of jason so much. 🫶♥️

Honestly, I always felt that weapons like crowbar are given to Jason also at least partly to have this 'big brute who has no real skill but only brute strenght' idea

Yes that's also the vibe it gives me. T-T Weapons like swords especially are usually given to characters who are extremely skilled and highly respectable in their field of combat. Which is probably why DC is being such a coward about giving Jason a sword, even though he would know how to wield one and it would actually be the best way to compromise his killing stance IF that was the direction DC wanted to take his character development into. disregarding for a second there that I like a Jason who will kill sometimes, if DC doesn't want to keep that for him, then at least they should give him a weapon that recognizes his training (with the league) and his fighting style (the first influence of acrobatics will always be strong)

24, I've orphaned and deleted a couple of fics lol

2. What's your total AO3 word count?

106 303 and I'm very proud of every single one of those words, I usually have to fight my perfectionism to put anyhting on page

3. What fandoms do you write for?

Mostly DC comics! I have one (1) les mis fic and one (1) x-men fic

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

Catalogue of Things Unsaid by far my most popular fic with 1000+ kudos, it's a Superbat fic. I love re-reading this fic, sometimes I like my writing in this and sometimes not but I'm still fond of it Bear Me No Witness my most popular Jaydick fic, I worked really hard on this one so I'm glad people liked it Lost And Never Found is a moody, horror-esque JayDick fic that really fits my style blow a kiss; fire a gun my first fic ever asdfghjk idk it's kinda silly False Alarm I wrote this mostly as practice, I don't really have anything to say about it

5. Do you respond to comments?

Yes!.. except on wips because I'm delusional and I keep telling myself I'll reply once I update the fic... lol

I don't think I have angsty endings? I don't remember most of my endings, it's my least favorite part of writing, oops

Nope, fortunately the people who read my fics want to be there

HAHAHA...HA uhh I wrote mermaid porn, and that's it, mostly. I wrote one sex scene prior to that but it wasn't explicit

No. I don't read them either

Not really, there was a Cass/Tam fic that resembled my own Cass/Tam fic: let me count the roses but this was a gift and I think the giftee just liked this concept and asked for it again LMAO

No

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Yes! It was fun but I don't think I'm built for it, I like oneshots and my co-writer liked multi chapter stories hence why the only time I tried we didn't finish it lol

14. What's your all-time favorite ship?

Jaydick ❤💙 they're the reason I started writing fic in the first place

15. What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you will?

😭😭😭 all of them please send help (see above: I don't like writing multi chapter stories but sometimes the plot needs them)

16. What are your writing strengths?

The way I can tell a story in 7k words or less, "short but packs a punch" is 100% my strenght. Also the fact that I really enjoy editing

Endings. Every. Single. Time

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

I love it in cases like les mis fandom. I get so excited when I see french especially in canon era fics. There are a lot of ways in which we can put the translation in the notes or using a skin I hate it tho, when I'm reading a fic and a latine character's only personality traits are that they are a criminal and they speak spanish BUT that doesn't mean I don't want more spanish speaking characters in fic even if they're just minor characters

19. First fandom you wrote for?

DC comics! I started writing and posting fic in 2019 and it's still the fandom that I write for today, attempts at branching out haven't been succesful

20. Favorite fic you've written?

Always the hardest question to answer but I really, really like re-reading Bear Me No Witness it has it all: Dick in a croptop, a news scandal, fake marriage and Jason messing with Dick to hurt Bruce I wish I could write a sequel!!!! (self call out)
