Joker Death HeadCannon

So I've had this floating around my head for a while and decided to flesh it out a bit. This all came about from a Twitter question asking who is going to be the one to finally kill the Joker for good.

For me it comes down to Harley Quinn, Jason Todd and Barbara Gordon. All three have very dark ties to the Joker - Harley with domestic abuse, Jason with his murder and Barbara with him disabling her and sexually assaulting her.

Side note: I'm aware of Duke having ties with the Joker as well, but at the moment I'm having trouble trying to get him into this head cannon, so I've left him out for the moment.

We all know that Jason has it in him to kill the Joker, however, in Under the Red Hood he wanted Bruce to do it so prove that man loved him. That whole story brings in the idea of Red Hood being ready to kill the Joker however Jason Todd wasn't in the place to do so. Jason needed to get into the same mind set at Red Hood and then the Joker would be gone. For the sake of this head cannon, Jason is finally in the place where he's ready to end the clown.

Harley Quinn has done a good job separating herself from the Joker, so I think in order for her to become involved he's going to have done something to Ivy or something along those lines for her to cross that threshold.

For Barbara, I think she has been waiting for someone to take the step towards this and while probably not physically taking part in it, she is going to help keep the evidence factor down for those involved.

Now why all three start working together isn't all that important. Maybe they hear of the Joker having escaped and finally had enough or maybe they got wind of Joker planning something big. Regardless of the reason, the three of them work together. Barbara removes all evidence of Harley and Jason on the ground while Harley and Jason work together to get the Joker. They do it in such a way that he just disappears. No one sees them and any video evidence is non-existent. He just vanishes.

He's then transported somewhere outside of the Gotham city, but still close enough that Jason could be called on to help if need be. Harley and Jason work together to get their frustrations out on the Joker (I won't be too explicit) but when it comes to the final kill shot, Harley is the one that does it. It was decided in a game of rock paper scissors. Victor kills the Joker, Looser chooses where to put his body.

Once the Joker is dead, the two than transport the Joker's body to a place that it is never found.

It doesn't take long for the Gotham PD to work out the Joker is missing and Batman even picks up on the chatter. The Batfam (with Jason and Barbara's help) start searching and eventually find the location of where the Joker is killed. There is enough evidence to confirm that the Joker is dead but nothing to show where his body is or who did the killing. It was like he was just transported there, killed and his body disappeared as did the killer's evidence.

Everyone, but Batman give up on the case. It's the Joker, no one is particularly unhappy the man is dead but Batman needs to know who did it. He begins searching and after a particular hard night of dead ends Alfred comes to him and throws some logic at him. Nothing good is going to come from him finding who killed the Joker? If he does, what is going to happen when the person is arrested? Will people still look at him the same as his sympathizing with a person who has done horrible things? Is he willing to deal with what will happen if he knows the people who did it? Its enough for Bruce to drop it.

And for those wondering, Alfred knows. He always knows. He later invited Jason, Harley and Barbara over for celebratory scones (with jam and cream) and tea.

Over the years, Bruce gets hints as to who did it. He also develops his own suspicions but nothing is concrete enough for him to do anything. Plus he promised Alfred that he would drop it.

Years later, Bruce is on his death bed. Jason arrives to say his goodbyes and when they're alone they start talking about their relationship and the cases they worked on. Bruce says that he feels good knowing that he's going to die having solved all but one of his cases, with the Joker death case being the one that he never got answers for. Bruce even laughs and says that he even suspected that Jason killed the joker but stops when he sees that Jason isn't laughing. Its then that Jason tells him everything (with the permission of Harley and Barbara). Bruce isn't going to be able to do anything and who is going to believe the ramblings of a dying billionaire after all.

When he's done, there is silence and Bruce asks one final question. Where is the Joker's body? They had left enough evidence to suggest death, where is the body?

Jason just smiles and tells Bruce that there is another reason why they chose to stay as close as they did to Gotham. While it would have been easy to leave the city and do it all, there was always going to be a chance that Joker's body would be found. They needed a place that no one would look. And Jason knew of a vacant grave since he had told EVERYONE that he was to be cremated when he dies next.

The night that the Joker died, Harley and Jason drove to the cemetery where Jason's grave still lay and put the Joker in the empty plot. After all, who would think of looking for the Joker in the grave of Bruce Wayne's adopted son?

Final note: If anyone else knows that Jason, Harley and Barbara are involved in the Joker's death before this point, no one says anything. Duke does give Jason a little head nod afterwards so Jason is aware that Duke knows something, but they never actually discuss it.

YANDERE BATFAM x MAKIMA! READER CONCEPT PROPOSAL

is something that i wanted to write for a long ass time now but never really got a full concept for until now so here’s like a bulleted list for the idea and why you should totally like and reblog this so i get the motivation to write a full fic

tw/cw: spoilers for chainsawman manga, yandere themes, violence. this fic assumes you know what makima is so-

in any case, enjoy.

All of this is semi-based on the batfam x makima! headcannons i made before but going more into detail

Basically reader starts off as Batman’s parallel. Less of a nemesis than Joker, but not completely his ally cause you’ll represent the other side of saving people. The ‘necessary evil’ one must make.

Also known as the deaths of many in order to assure a perfect world.

So while Batman’s motto is “Never Kill” yours is “Kill as much as necessary.”

Batman is essentially powerless against you, but you give him one chance. One chance to end your entire concept as a devil. Essentially ending all fear towards control.

This plan comes as Damian Wayne. You are to reincarnate and grow alongside his first born child and that child would choose your fate.

By that I mean he’s the only one who can kill you.

Literally making his ‘born to kill’ backstory even more prevalent.

I won’t spoil the ending ofc but that’s basically the gist of it, or at least the main plot mechanics.

ofc the other batboys appear as well, maybe even batgirl.

but as of now i don’t have that many plot mechanics i can throw at them but Jason Todd

I feel like he’d be a nice wrench in the mix considering he thought Batman’s policy fucked him over.

In any case, any suggestions, additions, changes and improvements are welcomed.

Let’s hope this blows up so I can write a full on fic or something.

OH! And we can also make an alternate version where Batfam aint Yandere if that’s what you guys prefer. Would still be pretty dark though.

In most DC fics, we have Jason after the pit can't stand to go out when Joker is out of arkham or there are other side effects to the pits.

So, in Danny Phantom, we can compare the ectoplasm in the portal to some form of clearer pits. There should also be side effects. With the death scar and whatever you headcannon, I feel like on some days or even on his death day, Danny can't stand being near his parents, the Portal or Sam (if you count the wish that they weren't friends anymore where Sam had to kill Danny to rebrand him).

I've been seeing a thing or two about a DC au where the justice leage, specifically Batman/Bruce is a patient at a mental asylum and all his villans are just workers at the asylum.

But what about the bat family? What about Alfred? What about Cat Woman?

Here's my take on it:

Alfred is a family friend of the Wayne's and basically like an uncle to Bruce before Bruce's parents died (which i headcannon for this universe that they died in a fire that left Bruce scarred and Bruce loved superheros because i think it ties to his delusions)

And Alfred visits Bruce as often as he can, making sure to try and be nice to him, like bringing him paperdolls and crayons to draw with under the supervision of the doctors at the mental asylum.

And those paperdolls? They're the bat family alright.

Every single doll is a member of the bat family, with Bruce imagening how they are his kids that help him fight off 'his villans' and is very protective of, only letting Alfred and Cat Woman (who's another doctor at the asylum that is nice to him and he views her as an okay most of the time) and will always carry them around with him, imagening and caring for them like they are real children, but they are all delusions with a little bit of Bruce's personality and traits from when he was younger and not crazy.

And also, Jason's death was just Dr. Jack Napier (the Joker) aciddently ripping the paper doll of Jason when Bruce and Jack got into a scuffle, and because of Bruce's delusions, they decided (behind Jack's back, specifically Selina Kyle {who's Cat woman} decided to do this after they all saw how distressed and more mentally unstable Bruce got) to give Bruce more paper dolls and fix up Jason before they gave it all back to Bruce.

And i'll leave it at that, i'll let you all give your own thoughts about it. :)

For the PJO x DC: I feel like it would be cool if the Lazarus liquid had a connection to the green gas the Oracles have in PJO. Bc then you could headcannon that the green liquid in the vat the joker fell into was also a Lazarus pool. And Jason and the joker both went crazy from if the same way May Castellan did. Jason just recovered and the joker didn't. The reason Ra's is fine is bc he doesn't go into the pool dead or die in it (I think the joker died in the vat?? If not then this might not work) or maybe Ra's has a special blessing from Apollo for it to work correctly or smthg. I also like that the green vibe the Oracles have in PJO could match up with all the Al Guhls' green color schemes, Joker's green, and Jason's green eyes from the pit. Like it's not pit madness anymore it's Oracle madness, he's seeing the past and future at the same time, seeing his death all the time and the future and present.

Is this anything? It's like 3am so this could definitely make no sense at all XD!

hmm that is really interesting,,, i do want the al ghuls to be involved in the mythological world in some way or another but im not too sure on it being the like,, oracle juice??

it would be interesting to connect jason and babs in that way though, since i do want babs to be blessed by apollo in some way.

So I don't normally write for this ship, so I hope headcannons work.

Only mature one in the relationship is death the kid

And that's saying a LOT

He constantly gets annoyed by how messy his partners are

At this point Soul purposely is a mess to piss him off

Blackstar is just naturally a mess

So physical affection actually isn't that common with these guys

Their love language is LITERALLY BEATING THE SHIT OUT OF EACHOTHER

and then laughing afterwards

(if DTK isn't about to murder them if they ruined his suit)

On the rare occasion they'll cuddle

But it's like SUPER fucking rare

I feel like they aren't all dating each other

Blackstar and Soul are both dating DTK but not eachother

But people CONSTANTLY think that those two are also a couple

In a cuddle pile they're likely asleep

DTK is just struggling to fucking breath while Souls arm is sloppily flopped over his neck, with his legs draped over him

And Blackstar on his other side actually snuggled up

On the average day though, they're pretty standard to what you see in the show

LITERALLY saying "I hate you" and "I hate you too" like Lego Batman and joker

A small head cannon

In the pre-52 continuity, Jason’s resurrection is caused by a shattering of the multiverse, specifically, a version of Jason Todd who had gone through the same experience in Ethiopia and survived was merged with the Jason Todd who was dead and buried. From this, I have two teensie little harmless headcannons:

Jason Todd is haunted by his dead self. I mean the full thing, he can’t see his reflection in mirrors, only Robin’s bloody and battered face. He sees Robin curled up in corners of dark rooms in the middle of fiery debris. But smaller harmless things too. Whenever Jason is struggling to read, the anxiety to get up and do something starting to overwhelm him, Jason feels a small nudge at the base of his skull and sits back down and keeps reading. Entertainingly, one time during an argument with Bruce at the manor, a book flew off one of the shelves and brained Bruce right in the face. ( Bruce later searched the room one hundred times over to find an explanation while Jason went home, laughing quietly.)

Where did the other Jason come from again? I mean, for Jason to have two souls in him, there must be a missing Todd in another universe. During Countdown, while Donna, Kyle and Bob were searching for Ray Palmer through the multiverse, Jason kept quietly checking wherever he could on the status of his multiverse counterparts. Every universe is fruitless, all the Jasons are accounted for (usually dead) and by the last world Jason is just about done with all of it. Until, of course, he meets Bruce. The Bruce of this world seems to be the Bruce of his dreams, having killed the Joker after his Jason’s death. But after the first kill Bruce went on a crusade, killed every single rouge and villain on Earth, and in doing so, destroyed his soul. Because of this, this Earth is a paradise but Bruce is a psychotic shell of himself, and Jason realises that both of them never be happy at the same time. While Bruce was explaining his path to Jason, he mentions briefly, insignificantly, that after the explosion in Ethiopia he never found Jason’s body. It was Jason’s perfect world, and he wasn’t around to see it.

Lol, I'm short (and petite 😭 like a whole kid out here) but proud! PSA: I love tall daddies. Therefore, Joker is written at least 6'0ft. Y/n is however tall you are since I write for reader insert. So yeah, he's towering over us girl. Buckle up! Enjoy!

Joker is forever making fun of your short stature in comparison to his. Its both endearing and annoying.

Its not your fault your mixed genetics robbed you in the height department but he doesn't have to rub it in every day..

His favorite hobby is to move things in the apartment well out of your reach. J doesn't like you climbing counters and etc. to grab things and prefers if you call him to get it for you.

It strokes his ego that he's providing for you. Keep in mind that he created the problem in the first place!

Cups, boxes of cereal, the tv remote (?), even your laptop-- nothing is safe from being stolen and tucked away 'safely' out of your reach. Oh the irony..

Joker thinks it absolutely hilarious when you get frustrated and try to grab things by yourself.

"Awwww is my wittle bunny too short? Need some help?" You flip him off and try to grab whatever he stashed away.

You almost had it!! He just laughs and shamelessly enjoys the show. Your butt jiggles each time you jump and Joker can watch it shake all night.. that is until you trip and lose your balance.

Then he's rushing over to catch you before you break something and/or hurt yourself.

"Easy there doll. All ya had to do was uhh, ask for helP." He hands over whatever you almost broke your neck for with a lopsided grin. God, you love this annoying clown.

Thankfully there are instances where you get payback for Joker being taller. Low clearance areas are your favorite since you get to watch J clip his head and laugh at him when he grumbles in pain.

Watching him squeeze into a tight space (he's more mindful of the places he drags you into for a quickie) is hilarious since he's all arms and legs whereas you are in your element.

The height difference is so comical that Mac and Neo have joked about your stellar climbing skills. It's clearly a sexual innuendo and Joker gave them the death glare for it.

They haven't joked about your height since. Mac gifted you hiking boots in secret with a card that read, "Enjoy climbing Mt. Joker." You can't bring yourself to wear them. You must admit; you are an excellent climber..

Joker loves to rest his arm on your head or pat your braids like you're a puppy.

It irks your soul and he learned the hard way that you are short and therefore closer to his balls. You punch them in retaliation every time he treats you like a kid.

You like bringing Joker down to your level. Literally.

A plus in being shorter than J is that you tuck adorably into his side. No matter how much your weigh, he's picking you up and tossing you around because...

"You're uhh, fun size Y/n!" That applies in and out of the bedroom. The two of you snap together like the perfect puzzle piece.

But despite all the teasing Joker makes about your height, he loves being your protector.

He's the one you run to if something is bigger and scarier. He's the tall, murderous bf, that'll scare off anything or anyone for his Bunny.

It’s a new concept to be a savior and Joker isn't complaining.

You'll never get used to being hit on. You get it; you’re very beautiful with your lighter complexion and the way you carry yourself.

Men and women are always hitting on you but normally after you utter the words, "I'm spoken for" they go away but this guy is rather persistent.

Years ago he would be your type. Tall, athletic, and cocky with white teeth and oozing lightskin fboy vibes. He was definitely the quarterback in high school and wears gold chains with black turtlenecks. The single Y/n would have your fun and kick him to the curb before he broke your heart. However you were happily involved with Gotham City's most infamous criminal who would literally kill anyone that dared to take away what was his.

You were doing this guy a favor trying to turn him down but the second he grabbed your arm and insisted you go on a date with him, you knew, he f__cked up.

"Let go."

"Nah just one date ma. You'll love it so just say yes. A dinner, a lil talking, then I'll take you home n' sweat your weave out." He grinned.

You arched an eyebrow at him assuming your hair was fake but before you could open your mouth, a shadow fell over the two of you. Your persistent suitor rolled his eyes and glared at the newbie.

"Is there a problem?" He asked Joker.

Joker's left eye twitched as he glare at this pathetic stain touching you. J wore a mask to conceal his identity yet his scowl was evident. "Is he hurtin' you doll?" Joker asked you.

You shook your head no but that wasn't enough to save a life.

J pointedly eyed the hands holding you until the guy wisely let you go. If he hadn't, Joker had no issue removing them by force.

You hid behind Joker's towering frame and vanished, you were so short. Joker made sure you were safe behind him before focusing on the idiot.

"Uh yes. Lots of errr problems. Let's see.. You talked to my bunny, you touched my bunny, and the worsT of all. You. Made. Her. Uncomfortable. Its been ten hours since I killed someone. I'd hate to break my errr record.."

The guy must've understood that Joker was serious for he backed away with his hands up. "Listen man I didn't know she was your girl. Have at it, I'm out."

Joker waited until the guy left before he turned around to check on you. "You good?"

J wasn't expecting you to hug him so tightly. Your head barely came to his chest and for once you didn't get offended when Joker patted your head. "Say the wo~oooord and he's dead, Y/n."

You laughed and stared up into Joker's eyes. "Don't break your record, J." You tapped your lips, making Joker furrow his brow.

"What? Ya wanna kiss?" You nodded and Joker made a noise. "I dunno Bunny. If ya can't reach my lips.... do ya deserve a kiss? Maybe if you were hehe.. taller?"

You rolled your eyes and shoved Joker away. He laughed at your little temper tantrum but stopped you from walking away with meaningful kiss. Your attitude melted away and Joker left you speechless when he pulled back.

quite honestly, he's not all that fond of animals. and it goes both ways. he won't kill it on sight, but god forbid the cat takes your attention away from him. it'll be an ongoing war for your affectons

"the hell you want a cat for? i can lay in your lap and lick your face if you want to!"

on the other hand, the first meeting is key - J is horrible with animals and they sense a threat in him, so it's nothing unusal for them to try and protect themselves from him. however, if your cat isn't guarded around him from the beginning and shows some affection and acceptance, he won't be mean to it. honestly? you might even find him trying to play with it or babytalking to it

if the cat turns out to be hostile from the beginning (which is totally justifiable btw),he doesn't care about it as long as it doesn't cross him. and yes, he's gonna be petty, even if it's just an animal that doesn't know any better. all responsibility for it is falling on you, you have to feed it, clean after it and make sure it doesn't ruin his shit because he'll get mad

if you're wondering - yes, he does step on the cat's tail on purpose sometimes just because

he'll be so fucking needy and clingy if your pet ever decided to sleep with you on the bed. he'll push it off you and cuddle you himself, he's ready to squish the little shit if it's between you two. and if the cat tries to bite/scratch him, he absolutely will bite it back

he's ready to compete with the cat on who brings you the best gift. it's a well known fact that cats bring dead animals home, and so does he. except it's 10x times worse. oh, the cat brought you a dead pigeon? watch him bring you a whole ass deer. what do you mean he can't do that? you accepted the cat's dead bird, why wouldn't you accept his dead deer? what, is the cat better than him? you love it more?
