hey mindy mindy its me again (after that chaotic love poem lmaolmao) mwah mwah can u do like a notion guide post ?? like what would be helpful to add and also how you set yours up?? that would be so so helpful ilyily have the best day and sleep tight mwah mwah kiss kiss love xoxo, emily
hey emily! ✧
omg hi again!! (the love poem chaos was iconic btw, never apologize for that) you truly are my biggest fan (and i'm yours <3)
✧・゜: my notion setup: organized chaos but make it cute :・゜:・゜✧

so you asked about my notion setup and i'm soo excited to share because i've gone through approximately 500 iterations before finding what actually works for me! and by "works" i mean i've stuck with it for more than 3 weeks which is honestly a personal record.
the thing with notion is that it's so customizable it can be overwhelming?? like, i spent more time watching "perfect aesthetic notion tour" videos than actually using the app for the first month. classic me behavior.
⋆.ೃ࿔:・ getting started (without spiraling) ・:࿔ೃ.⋆
first things first - don't try to set up your entire life system at once! i made this mistake and abandoned notion for 2 months because it felt too overwhelming.
start with ONE area that's currently chaotic in your life. for me it was school assignments because i kept forgetting deadlines until 11pm the night before (and then panicking while eating peanut butter straight from the jar… not recommended).
my biggest tip is to not get caught up in making it pretty right away. i know that's like, counterintuitive coming from me, but functionality first, then we make it cute!
⋆.ೃ࿔:・ my actual setup ・:࿔ೃ.⋆
homepage: i have a super simple homepage with links to my main dashboards (school, blog, personal) and a little daily quote that changes. also a tiny photo of my cat judging me for motivation.
school dashboard: this is my most used section! i have a calendar view of assignments, a database of all my classes with linked notes, and reading tracker. the best part is the assignment database where i can filter by due date and subject.
blog dashboard: where i keep all my post ideas (like this one!), content calendar, and stats tracking. i also have a section for brands i want to work with someday (manifesting!).
personal dashboard: this has my habit tracker, journal prompts, and goals. i also keep recipes here because i was tired of screenshots getting lost in my camera roll.
reading nook: where i track books i've read/want to read with little ratings and notes. sometimes i write embarrassingly emotional reactions to plot twists that no one else will ever see.
⋆.ೃ࿔:・ the actually helpful stuff ・:࿔ೃ.⋆
okay so beyond the basic setup, here are things that have made notion actually useful for me:
templates!! i have templates for everything - blog posts, class notes, weekly planning. it saves so much time not starting from scratch.
linked databases are literally magic. i can have the same information show up in different places filtered different ways. like my assignments appear on my homepage as "due this week" but in my school dashboard i can see everything.
embeds are underrated. i embed my spotify playlists, google calendar, and pinterest boards so everything's in one place.
toggle lists for anything lengthy. they keep things looking clean but you can expand when needed.
color coding that actually means something. i used to just pick pretty colors but now each color has a purpose (red = urgent, blue = school, pink = blog, etc).
⋆.ೃ࿔:・ making it pretty (because we still care) ・:࿔ೃ.⋆
once the functionality is working, THEN we make it cute:
i use a consistent color palette across all pages (mostly soft pinks, lavender, and sage green)
custom icons for each page (there are free packs online or you can use emojis)
cover images that are cohesive (i use pinterest)
font consistency! i stick with the same headings and text styles
little decorative dividers between sections (just search "aesthetic dividers" and you'll find tons)
⋆.ೃ࿔:・ my honest thoughts ・:࿔ೃ.⋆
the truth is my notion isn't instagram-perfect all the time. some sections get messy when life gets busy, and that's fine! the beauty of it is you can always clean it up later.
the pages i actually use daily are pretty simple. it's the ones i rarely visit that look the most aesthetic (because they're not battle-tested with real life, lol).
start simple, find what actually helps you, and then make it pretty enough that you want to use it. that's the real secret!
let me know if you want more specific details about any part of my setup! i could literally talk about this forever (as you can probably tell from this novel of a response).
sending you the most organized vibes! hope this helps!!
xoxo, mindy 🤍
p.s. sleep tight to you too! currently writing this at 1am because i have no concept of proper sleep schedules

✨ the Ultimate Studio Ghibli Desktop Set ✨
Can be purchased from my gumroad shop! <3
I'm so excited to share this! I adore Studio Ghibli and its beautiful worlds and characters, so I created this massive desktop set that includes as many beloved movies as I could, for anyone else who wants to bring some Ghibli magic to their desktop! 🖤(there are more icons than pictured above ;) )
holds desktop set out to you like No Face giving gold
uh. uh.
^ me when I finally finished making this set. I spent four months working on it (two and a half of those were JUST the icons). But my main mindset when making this set was to really do as much as I possibly could, because there are SO MANY amazing movies and characters and everyone has their favorite and I wanted to do my best to have something for everyone! 🌿🌸🩷 This has been a LABOR for sure, but I also poured as much love as I could into it! So this was also me (and my sisters xD) when I finished:
#these also work great with notion#I did icons for all of these movies:#totoro#howl's moving castle#ponyo#spirited away#princess mononoke#kiki's delivery service#castle in the sky#porco rosso#nausicaa of the valley of the wind#the cat returns#the boy and the heron#grave of the fireflies#studio ghibli#myart#etsy shop#merch#desktop wallpaper organizer theme set#folders and icons

getting seriously organized⋆.ೃ࿔*:・📄
the importance of organization - the nature of life is that it can seem really disorganized and chaotic but it doesn't absolutely have to be that way! organization helps to improve your efficiency and overall add structure to ur life.
agendas - a daily to do list is a MUST. i use notion to organize my time. i separate what i need to do into categories (A and B).
CATEGORY A ; tasks that hold the highest level of importance.
CATEGORY B ; tasks that are more simple (its not gonna nip u in the bud if u dont do a task in category b)
monthly calendars - monthly calendars are so helpful because i set new goals for every month, and when everything is already planned out and in front of you it makes it feel a million times easier to achieve those goals.
list important events
birthdays
appointments etc
lists - making lists is therapeutic for me at this point. its actually a lot of fun so i highly recommend it, but instead of just making lists for fun, you could make lists that'll be useful in the future. for example...
restock lists (lists of things that you consistently need and use)
grocery lists
meal prep - meal prep is so useful because it makes grocery shopping easier, and its easier to eat consistently when u know what ur going to eat

PhD Day 145: it's Sunday and I technically didn't work. But I have spent a while organising my coming week so I can start with more ease knowing a plan is there waiting for me. I have also spent way too long writing an application for an internship that I'm not sure I want.
For next week, I hope my brain will be in a learning mood because I really need to speed up my reading.

2♡25: first quarter wrap-up! ୭🩰🐈⬛✧
this year, i've sectioned it out into quarters; the first, second, third, and fourth, for each three months. rather than going all in with the goals and ambitions for this year to just spread them out randomly through the year, or worse, be constantly forgetting to update them every month, something i am VERY guilty of, splitting it into manageable yet productive sections! i'd recommend this to anyone with consistency issues; it's never too late to start! ♡
.⁺ ♡ FIRST QUARTER: PROGRESS 💬🐈⬛🎀 ❜❜ ♡
👛𓂃 ࣪˖ inner
♡ definitely gotten braver over these past few months. i've been so much more bolder than i ever have been and i love it
♡ super bad depressive episode for majority of march (but i've handled it surprisingly well! ♡)
♡ <- went back to weekly therapy sessions
♡ worked on solidifying my self image and handling insecurities better
⊹˚. 💄beauty
♡ began exploring more types of makeup
♡ started using hair and body oil (100% noticed improvement! ♡)
♡ tried out a new haircut (jellyfish bangs! ♡)
♡ started dry brushing before showers
🧁𓂃 ࣪˖ social
♡ somehow got the most beautiful girlfriend in the world??????????? what the freak???????????ily ♡ ♡ ♡
♡ got into sum serious drama with an ex-best friend! yikes!
though this was SO stressful, it was a learning curve and gave me some really helpful insight actually into how female friendships (and malicious liars) can work. i'm grateful for the memories and the experiences she taught me, but i NEVER wanna see this girl again 😭 i love my real friends who stick by me no matter what u guys are the real ones (you know who you are.)
♡ achieved my life goal of going to a tubatu concert!!!!!!!!!!! ♡ ♡ ♡
♡ made new friends!!!!!!!!! ♡
♡ balancing my social life and my mental health better than i ever have been
♡ went to an anime & gaming con ♡
it was so super fun!!! i've always been way too shy to go to one of these things but i am always gonna be a loser at heart, so i took the opportunity and it's one of my favourite things i've done this year! little me would be so happy ♡
♡ still rewiring my mindset towards social situations (any progress is progress! ♡)
♡ gotten less scared of wearing what i want and indulging in & finding my own style in public! (little me would be so proud ♡)
⊹˚. 🐈⬛ academic
♡ scored 46/75 on my phase 2 maths exam (61%)
i was actually aiming to get 60% on this test!!!! i got exactly 50% last time and i'm not the best at these exams, so i'm still super proud of myself and am aiming for somewhere near 70% for phase 3 ♡
♡ placed highest in my class (again!) for term 3 english assessment ♡
♡ scored 37/50 on biology exam
♡ scored 38/50 on chemistry exam
♡ scored 45/50 on physics exam ♡
♡ got some of the highest science grades in my class! ♡
for the 3 tests altogether, i got 120/150, which is 80% in total! i was so shocked when i calculated it all, considering on the phase 1 exams i got 78/150, so 52% in total. i wasn't expecting such a huge improvement, but i studied hard, and it paid off! (would you guys like to see a post on what i did??? ♡)
♡ got my first detention ????????? what the freak
🩰𓂃 ࣪˖ artistry
♡ worked on my first proper clothing project (going beautifully ♡)
♡ began learning coding! (going super well!!!! ♡)
♡ painted for the first time in a little while
♡ gotten super into drawing and reading again
♡ actually started learning to cook!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ♡ (iykyk.)
♡ working on magazine business card designs and fashion designs
.⁺ ♡ SECOND QUARTER: AMBITIONS 💬🐈⬛🎀 ❜❜ ♡
⊹˚. 💄inner
♡ set up some real routines
consistency and discipline is something i've always struggled with because i can never seem to find a healthy enough balance for either of them . i want to focus on this throughout all of the second quarter, but specifically lay out some routines in april.
♡ dig into more uncomfortable sides of my mental landscape
somethign that goes hand in hand with my consistency issues is that i always forget to make time for the less glamorous stuff. i wanted to focus a lot on looking into the more unpretty sides of my mental state and beginning to work on those, as they are something i often avoid.
👛𓂃 ࣪˖ beauty
♡ pilates.
with my theme of consistency for this quarter, i wanted to add in a part i have ALWAYS procrastinated. 2023 pilates summer was PEAK and we're gonna make 2025 spring-summer pilates even better ♡
⊹˚. 🐈⬛ social
my social life is honestly doing amazing at the moment, so i don't think i have anything to add right now ♡
🧁𓂃 ࣪˖ academic
same as social; nothing to add here right now! ♡
⊹˚. 🩰 future
♡ financial management / money control!
aka i NEED to stop impulse buying the moment i have money😭😭😭
♡ look into work experience for the summer
i heard some of my friends are doing it this summer, and i didn't know i was able to do it, so i'm gonna look into it!!! third quarter here i come 😼😼😼
♡ continue learning coding & sewing
all my love! 🎀💬🐈⬛️🫶🏻🩷
#this is like a week late but whatever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11#exactly a week late actually#but i've spread out working on this over the past said week so technically. it's okay#whatever!#my schedule is whatever i say it is#might make a more detailed post on my second quarter goals#or i might just put it in my notion#whatever! i live life on the edge#u guys will never know what i do next#/aff#2025#april 2025#2025 spring#organization#life planning#it girl#that girl#it girl energy#girlcore#girlworld#girl code#girl therapy#becoming her#glow up#pink pilates princess#bee's diaries ❤︎

Fanfic Writer Notion Template | Notion Template for Fanfiction Writers | Writing Notion Template | WIP Organizer Template
Hello! I'm very excited to finally share the Notion template I've created for fanfic writers!
Admittedly, I am more of a fanfiction reader than a fanfiction writer, but I wanted to try my hand at creating this Notion template. That being said, I'm not sure if I've organized the template in a way that is super helpful or makes sense for a writer, so any advice/suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated! I am definitely planning on revising the template - this is a very early iteration.
Feel free to contact me if you have any suggestions! :)

Is there any in-world knowledge about blood transfusions? How would that interact with Wardi ideas about blood, if so?
Nah the conceptual basis of blood transfusions and the ability to successfully complete them is beyond any medical system out there. The raw idea of 'people dying of blood loss could maybe benefit from more blood' certainly exists but the equipment to Do any form of transfusion to begin with is not even remotely there (much less the basis for longterm successful transfusions, which would require experimentation with adequate equipment).
Most medical systems are going to attempt to address blood loss with baseline physical measures (stopping bleeding, tourniqueting or cauterizing wounds, keeping a wounded person at rest). The closest thing is probably topical application or oral ingestion of blood/blood-based meals (human or animal) to promote More Blood, as well as (more helpfully) foods/other medicines found to have merit in treating anemia.
In the Wardi sphere (in addition to baseline physical treatment) blood loss is usually handled with medicines found to have some effect on symptoms of anemia (ingestion of ochre is a big one, usually mixed with oil or animal fat) and attempts to replace lost blood with blood-based food (mostly sausages made with cattle or horse blood). Blood in general is not commonly ingested straight for anything but ceremonial purposes, and in that case it's usually in very small quantities (single drops placed on the tongue or mixed into a drink). Human blood is basically never ingested in any form outside of these ceremonial purposes.
If you introduced blood transfusion to the average person from the Wardi sphere and were able to explain the conceptual basis (it helps treat blood loss and is involved in treating certain diseases,) it would pretty easily make Sense to them. The notion that lost blood could be replaced with more blood seems obvious, and a lot of diseases are ascribed to pollution of the blood, sometimes necessitating removal of polluted blood. They could see 'removal of polluted blood and replacement with clean blood' as having obvious benefits.
They would however be very nervous about the concept of receiving blood from a human stranger. If you introduced them to the concept of blood types and the fact that biologically related people are likely to share the same blood type the response would be like 'oh thank god okay so you people mainly do it between family, right??'. Exchanges of blood are ties of kinship (either in-born blood kinship through relatives or made blood kinship with spouses and etc) and are believed to form a permanent level of connection between the people involved. There's a continuous pathway between you and your blood kin, your bodies are connected, you share part of a living spirit and your spiritual wellbeing is entwined (sometimes on levels that curses/disease are likely to spread to your blood kin). You also have social obligations to your blood kin. It's a big deal and not something you undergo lightly.
Blood kinship isn't Just about 'we are biological relatives or drank a bit of each other's blood once' but they would have a lot of difficulty separating any intentional exchange of human blood with concepts of kinship, and the notion of having that tie established with a complete and utter stranger would be nervewracking (in addition to just like, 'how do I know that this blood is clean?'). If this hypothetical scenario was 'this person needs a blood transfusion and you're trying to explain this to them' they might refuse a transfusion from anyone but known kin, or would only accept very nervously. Even someone who was like 'fuck it okay lol' would probably still want to know details of who this blood comes from, and might be very insistent on finding a way to meet them afterwords.
They'd be more comfortable with the concept of blood transfusion from certain animals and would be likely to consider that a possibility. Ingesting animal blood (relatively common in the diet in the aforementioned form of sausages) doesn't have the same weight as human blood. There are still concerns about spiritual cleanliness- the only readily accessible animals whose living blood (non-fatally tapped from a live animal) are universally considered clean for consumption are cattle and khait (some taboos are applied to horse blood, which is usually only collected after slaughter at which point it is no longer 'living spirit'.) Ingesting the living spirit of an animal doesn't create a kinship tie, but is regarded as transferring some of the qualities of the animal to you, which can be a positive thing if it's a healthy/clean animal. Their first impression would often be that getting a blood transfusion from a healthy bull could be highly beneficial to healing, even better than consumption in cooked form, and might be a little put off by the initial response of 'nnno you can't do that.....'
#The reactions to organ donation might be more variable because there's basically no conceptual analogue for that AT ALL#though most people would be absolutely HORRIFIED at the notion of receiving organs from a dead organ donor

Notion is the answer!!
It's like making a webpage for your wips but you don't have to code anything (!) And it's free (!)
It combines note-taking, databases, calendars, and to-do lists. You can build exactly what you need—a writing hub, a plotting database, a journal, or a complex project tracker. You can add text and images and playlists and videos, embed pages within pages, and make custom databases for all sorts of things. It's rather great, really (i am biased)
The only shortcoming with Notion is that you start with a blank canvas, and have to build everything yourself. The learning curve can be steep, so I suggest you find some templates to start with.
Talking of which, may i interest you in:
A dark academia project template
The same but in a different font, and a bit neater
A master page, a writing hub where you can develop multiple books at once
(Did you notice I made a gradient?)

i want to show you how fucking organized and sexy my notion repository is now
its a very simple system with room for growth and addition but rn i have two lenses through which i can sort the database: what it is, and the through-line it follows
what it is can be broken down into several tags:
subject matter, treatment / technique, and form come together to flesh out a full work. direction is a path to follow, and reference and list are self explanatory
and then the through-lines are these right now:
they all got roots in my brain atm, like these are the threads that im attempting to follow at the moment. but im sure this list will change and update as i change and learn more!
