Bruce trying new things with his batsuit and wears a new armor on his legs that Dick jokes about them looking like thigh high boots in front of Clark and now that's all the Kansas man can think about.

Bruce catches him staring more then once but just thinks it's just bc it's new while our poor farm boy is having a crisis and can't stop thinking about how nicely they hug the older man's thick thighs and how he wants to run his hands along the cool leather encased muscles and or having his head between them.

hc that Clark doesn’t get the human instinct/reaction of a gut feeling or the hairs standing up on the back of your neck since he’s Kryptonian, so sometimes Bruce just freezes up and says “something’s wrong” and Clark resigns himself to it like ah yes, that weird human thing again and is baffled when 99% of the time Bruce’s gut is absolutely right

Random things I like to hc (part 1)

- Constantine calling Batman "love" anytime.

"Good plan, love. Now, if I may add..."

- Diana constantly fighting the urge to add multiple times in the footnotes of her research papers : "*I know that because I was there."

- Clark feeling some type of way whenever anyone from the Batfam calls him Uncle Clark (he does tear up a little the first few times).

- Anytime Booster would get cancelled for a tweet, he'd go back in time just far enough to prevent from tweeting it. He did that way too many times.

- Barry and Hal being that one best friend duo that are big on PDA. Most of the time during JL meetings, Hal's leg would be intertwined with Barry's.

- Given that the way they usually interact correlates with what he learned about married couples, J'onn assumed for the longest time that Bruce and Clark were spouses.

- Much like how Clark switches off his kansan accent when he's being Superman, Bruce switches off his "posh" accent when he's being Batman.

- On the contrary, Oliver always sounds filthy rich.

- Everytime someone mentions (any) Robin, Hal's mind still can't fathom that Batman's sidekick is a literal child.

- Dick is a bisexual flirt in and out of costume.

- Regular occurence : Batman enters the meeting room, sees Booster's stupid expression that's a clear sign he's going to share very stupid ideas, and Batman exits the room without a word. He doesn't come back for the rest of the meeting. After it happened more than once, some of the members get the clue and walk out as well.

- Superman can recite entire movies by heart. Not surprising in and of itself, but surprising that Bruce silently lets him do it over his shoulder when he's working in the batcave. Lets Clark unwind and gives Bruce background noise.

- After multiple complaints, Batman had to soundproof Dinah and Oliver's room in the watchtower.

Martha, Alfred, Bruce and Clark, and John sitting in the kitchen and trying to have a peaceful conversation, when inhuman screeching from upstairs is followed by a stampede of footsteps, before Dick races down into the kitchen, running frantically, empty water gun in hand. 

"What is going on?" Bruce barks, with absolutely zero effect because Jason is there a second later and tackles him through the net door on the patio. 

Martha's utterly charmed watching Bruce drop the exceedingly polite guest act as he scrambled out to the cold patio to scold the gremlins.

Clark shook his head, as the drill sergeant Batman voice filtered into the house.

Both boys are grinning when they enter, still bickering, utterly unabashed. But they do apologize to Martha and John about the door.

"I'm very sorry about that. I will pay for the door." Bruce says, dropping back into his seat.

"You raised a good one, Alfred," Martha said, patting the butler's hand.

Clark grinned and Bruce frowned, confused.

Bruce can only sleep if Clark is cuddling him. Bruce is ALWAYS the little spoon and he snuggles up to Clark like a koala. He likes it when Clark’s heater of a body is surrounding him; it makes him feel all toasty and warm. Clark’s pecs and muscles also make the perfect pillow so that is a big plus.

The first time Clark has this happen where Bruce is snuggling up to him he is kinda confused like this is the same man who refers to himself as “vengeance”, but he also loves that Bruce is snuggling up to him so he pulls him closer.

Bruce also sometimes likes resting his head in Clark’s lap after a really hard and draining mission.

Experimenting with how I wanna draw Clark and Bruce, decided it would be best to draw them side by side to make sure they don’t look too similar *cough cough* Dc *cough*, also been wanting to draw them in 1940’s suits so combined them into one.

bruce using his filter-less child sidekick(s) as a method of confession on purpose. he says something at home - what he determines in some Very Scientific fashion is the Optimal number of times to make them likely to repeat it - that he wants someone else to know but can't get himself to say to them. he respects barry, he's frightened by j'onn's power but trusts him, he thinks poison ivy is kind of right sometimes, he thinks of jim as a close friend, he's got a crush(/is in deep goth love) with clark and/or diana and/or selina...

and the filter-less child sidekick(s) blurt all this shit out for him to the relevant person, and bruce never has to figure out how to confess it on his own.

thinking about this one Superbat fic I read where they had to fake date or whatever but in it while they’re still in pre- relationship, they like fall asleep in the same bed, play games with their kids, and like shower while the other one is also in the bathroom and it’s like “oh yeah they’ve dealt with shit from crying into the others shoulder to literally trying to fuck each other during sex pollen episodes; there’s no world where they’re not the epitome of comfortable with each other even if they don’t think the other one returns their romantic feelings” and I just have to say I agree and I think about that hc at least once a week

oh the subtle, delicate angst of Clark never trusting himself to kiss someone with his powers and then the day comes where he’s temporarily depowered on the Watchtower and, in the scant few moments he has before his powers return, he quietly asks Bruce if he could just — try. one time. just to see what it was like to be kissed without having to worry about hurting someone else or pushing too hard against them or wanting.

Clark and Bruce, being best friends, have spent plenty of time together outside of League duties. They've gone to dinner, they've chilled at the cave/watchtower after an exhausting mission, they've gone on walks, they even have a tv show that they exclusively watch when together, etc.

Purely platonic and all. But one day, Clark arrives at the manor to grab him for their weekly hangout, but Bruce unexpectedly goes "Clark, I'm considering this one a date, so if you want to back out, now's your chance."

Bruce is so matter-of-factly that Clark is doubly taken aback. However, that's how they got together.

One of Bruce's go-to moves is bluffing and it drives him crazy that Clark knows how to read him well enough to always call them. So even though the Justice League is sweating bullets after Batman's latest pronouncement, Clark crosses his arms and raises an eyebrow and Bruce is furious he's got to fold. Same goes for when Bruce lies about his capabilities after an injury, or makes a threat.

Inspired by this post to write about my spin on the Superbat love square. This is all before they know each other's true identities.

Clark/Superman- has the hugest crush on Bruce Wayne.

Batman/Bruce- in love with Superman.

Clark and Bruce- get along very well. Clark is so obviously in love, he's blushing, he's stammering, he's awkward, he's just a mess. Bruce thinks Clark is just Like That (and to be fair, Clark is awkward and shy) and does not pick up on the very clear crush at all. Clark is very much the kid that used to be picked on and Bruce knows this, so he just assumes Clark's all nervous and... Clark-y because he isn't used to friends. Bruce himself while not used to having genuine friends knows how to be a friend and navigate social situations with grace, so he geniunely thinks Clark's awkwardness and blushing is Clark not being used to friendship. Bruce also does really and truly care about Clark, and he's very protective of him, and he sees him as a very good friend.

Batman and Superman- Oh dear god NO. These men have the worst chemistry possible. Superman is trying his best, okay, he's is trying to be patient and nice to Batman. But Batman. Will not even give him a chance. It's the most uncomfortable tension ever. Why? Because Batman is a tsundere who can't process being in love with Superman especially as Batman.

Batman and Clark- it's... Interesting, to say the least. Clark doesn't like Batman very much because of how Batman treats him as Superman, however Batman/Bruce does care about Clark. So while Clark is guarded and polite to Batman, Batman tries to soften the batman persona with Clark. Clark does pick on the fact that Batman is actually decent to him when he isn't superman, and does realise that Batman specifically doesn't like Superman (and from his perspective it really seems that way because Batman does cover up his crush very well. He just turns into an asshole in the process).

Bruce and Superman- Now, this is the one where they have the most natural chemistry and clearly obviously have feelings for each other. Bruce is in love with Superman (not Clark) and Superman/Clark is in love with Bruce (not Batman). And as Bruce his feelings for Superman are much more obvious, just from the way he looks at him. And Superman also lights up when he sees Bruce. If Superman saves Bruce, you can believe he's gonna carry him bridal style and hold him for longer than he has to and Bruce is gonna call Superman a hero - "his" hero. Of course, Bruce has the added guilt of how he treats Superman as Batman, but as Bruce he doesn't feel like he needs to hide it (mind you, he isn't even sure who is the real "him" anymore, so you can add Bruce/Batman having an Identity crisis into this love square too /hj) and he can't seem to push superman away in that state either. He can almost pretend he's just Bruce, and this is Superman, and everything's okay, when he knows, and only he, that it's not and that he's actually an awful person. Superman does not know this. He just knows that Bruce Wayne is the most brilliant, wonderful person he knows and that he's head over heels for him, and as Superman he has the confidence to show that a little more, to not stammer but to flatter and charm Bruce the way Bruce charms him.
