But oh how sweet Regulus comeback was when Harry was chosen as seeker for the quidditch team.

(ISAT ACT 3/ ACT 4 OPTIONAL ACHIEVEMENT SPOILERS) Wanted to post more writing I did for @tealgoat In Tales of time au! Canonically speaking this is written with the intention of taking place after this event ( @felikatze did lovely writing for this scene and Teal did incredible artwork, so be sure to check out that post before reading this!) Writing under the cut:

< You are sitting at the Favor Tree. >

< You try to focus on writing in your journal. >

< No one..makes…a..sound. >

< Loop coughs forcefully and breaks the silence first. >

| “… So uh, Madame.. about what happened before just a while ago.. do you mind if we-“|

< Absolutely not. >

< “No.”>

< Loop looks at you in confusion. >

| “..No? What do you mean ‘no’, Madame this is clearly something we should talk ab-“|

< Your grip on your pen gets tighter than you’d like it to be. >

< You stop writing and look up at Loop. >

< “What is there to discuss, Loop?”>

< “I crossed a line and Siffrin reacted poorly. That’s all there is to it. He didn’t want to be touched, yet I insisted anyway.”>

| “That isn’t blinding fair! You can’t just assume that! You looped right back before he could even say anything!”|

| “For all you know maybe he would have liked the affection from you! Maybe you're not as scary as you think you are! If you had just-“|

< You doubt it. >

< You have had countless loops proving otherwise. >

< Every attempt of you trying to show your love for your family leaves them confused at best or genuinely terrified of you at worst. >

< There’s no point in trying to rewrite that part of the story now. >

< “Loop.”>

|…?!|

< “I know you’re only trying to cheer me up. The sentiment is appreciated, but I’d rather move on now.” >

< “To be completely truthful with you I don’t want to talk or think about this any longer than I have to.” >

< “..I don’t wish to trouble you with it. “ >

| “….But, Madame I-“|

< Loop sighs. >

< Their shoulders sag in defeat a little, before brightening in demeanor once more. >

| “Okaaayy! Well that’s fine by me!” |

| “Never was a fan of conversations spinning in circles anyhow! Teehee! You know me so well~!”|

< You look away from Loop and go back to writing. >

< “.. Mhm.. thank you. >

| “Anyway, you got a Memory for your troubles. I suggest not to check it out until you feel better later. I don't think you'd like me to tell you what it does.” |

| Moving on from all that now! So! How can I help you on this wonderful new loop?”|

Feel like this adds onto thomas disrespecting dismissing fanfic artists.

He's says "fanfics doesn't technically fit what's required for an actual Miraculous story to work." Like he thinks he's the only one who knows what works best for miraculous show

Then says its "nonsense" about anyone who thinks someone else writes better than the actual show is like he can't fathom anyone doing better than him and the crew as is

Not an "attack" but sure is insulting

But ye just typical thomas i suppose

Don't forget how Astruc keeps coming up with excuses as to why fans and critics of the show can't possibly hope to give any meaningful criticism, whether it's because they lack the experience, or because they aren't French.

Astruc must be really in shape with all the mental gymnastics he does in his spare time.

March is officially here, and with Spring around the corner it's time for our writer brains to shake off the hibernation. And you can help us!

For this month’s MWG event, we’ll be playing the Fic I Won’t Might Write game.

How does it work, you ask?

It's easy : send us an ask providing a CHARACTER/SHIP and the TITLE for a fic you’d like to read (no other pointers for a fic direction!). Our participants will then share a summary or a snippet of the fic as they imagine it (and if your prompt sparks a big enough inspiration flame, maybe even a full fic! But bear in mind this event is about giving our writers space to dream up a story, even if they don’t have the time or energy to write it, so we'll kindly ask that you don't pressure anyone into writing more than what they've shared, please).

Mid-February is when Bile Sac Day hits the pint-sized Isles like a plague, infecting a substantial portion of the populace with romance fever.

Not an actual fever, of course.

Otherwise, the super-deformed denizens wouldn't be able to participate in the most important part of the holiday: reciprocating love and letting others know that they are loved.

For Chibi Caleb and Chibi Clara, it was a delightful time.

The two were always an affectionate pair, but around this time of year, their care for each other increased.

Inside their cute little cottage home, the chibi couple were getting ready to exchange gifts.

Clara, going first to give her gift, reaches behind her back with both hands and swiftly retrieves a hot stack of human heart-shaped pancakes.

Holding her cooking, she smiles proudly as it pulses once.

The flapjacks were drizzled in syrup and garnished adorably with a slab of butter shaped like a cardinal that she had carved herself.

Handing the food over to her husband, Caleb's face lit up in delight at the fluffy breakfast, a small trickle of saliva hanging from his mouth.

He then sets the stack of pancakes on the table with the intention of eating them at a later time.

It was now his turn to pull out his present for Clara, or rather presents since he had more than one for the witch.

Reaching behind his back, Clara was soon surprised with a series of sweet gifts, a box of candy shaped like a bile sac, and a meticulously curated bouquet of the most beautiful flowers she had ever seen.

Handing the candy and flowers over to Clara, Caleb pressed the end of his nose to hers.

Letting out a gentle giggle, Clara places the box and bouquet on the table with care before looking back at Caleb, her smile still remaining.

Leaning forward on her tippy toes, she gifts the blonde's cheek with a kiss as a light blush begins to trail on his face at the affection.

In a split second, a thought bubble appears unexpectedly above Caleb's head.

Inside it, Chibi Beardo Philip looks down in the dumps from the lack of love he's received, his heart broken as his blue eyes are overly big and wet with tears.

As his shoulders drop, a small rain cloud drifts over his head and starts to drench him.

When the thought bubble evaporates, Caleb's smile soon disappears, and a look of sadness replaces it.

Bile Sac Day was a gift-giving holiday, but he hadn't gotten his little brother a single gift to show that he cared.

When Caleb expresses his dejection to Clara through a speech bubble, the bubbly witch excitedly suggests in a bubble of her own that he should purchase a pink princess dress with heels and a tiara as a gift for Philip.

The blonde tries to imagine his sibling in such fanciful attire, but Philip's arms are crossed against his chest in annoyance in his imagination as he breathes out a huff, red veins appearing in the air around the brunette.

When the thought dissipates, Caleb shines Clara a sheepish smile, a droplet of sweat appearing on his temple.

He's uncertain whether that would be the most suitable gift for Philip, but then a light bulb shines over his head.

When it clicks on, a sudden gasp soon escapes him as his brown eyes start to sparkle.

Gesturing for Clara to come close, he begins to whisper something in her pointed ear.

...

Inside his little cave, Philip was diligently writing in his diary while sitting at his small study desk.

When he hears a sudden knock, his quill pen stops abruptly.

He looks up from his book.

Who could that be?

Probably some pesky witch who's comes to bother him.

He groans as he contemplates the potential intruder.

Looks like he'll have to scare them away.

As Philip arrived outside with his dagger, he felt his form freeze up and his weapon slip away from his grasp as he let go of it.

What he saw caused his eyes to shift into hearts, two chibi-sized chocolate carvings of his crushes, Jesus Christ, and Matthew Hopkins.

Both men were beautifully wrapped in pink ribbon with bows.

Tags that read "From Caleb" were also attached to them.

Philip was positively smitten by the sweets as he swiftly rushed up to them, hearts floating from his body as he clutched both his fists in pure joy.

Popping their heads up from some nearby bushes, Caleb and Clara view Philip's reaction with smiles on thier faces.

Looks like he loves his gifts.

ok, bear with me while I think out loud. after rewatching parts of season 3 up to Thea getting stabbed, I'm having to rework the season to line up with my fic. so I think everything will happen the way it did until episode 19, broken arrow, where things will diverge. first, when Ray approaches Felicity about that "I love you" in the hospital, Felicity remembers her mother's words about needing to make a choice, and she decides being with Ray while she's in love with Oliver is unfair to Ray. this isn't her choosing Oliver because to her understanding he's not an option at all. she's choosing not to be selfish with Ray, to let go of hanging onto him even though she can't really give him her heart. so she'll interrupt his babbling...

"Ray."

With that one word, Ray stops talking, and with a dejected sigh, he knows it's over. She opens her mouth to explain but he holds up his hand to stop her.

An awkward silence simmers between them.

He suddenly recalls a moment from before, when he confronted her about having feelings for Oliver. She had said yes, before she started backtracking that confession.

"It's because of Oliver, isn't it," he asks with a flat tone.

She doesn't say anything except, "I'm sorry."

...

Another thing that would change is: no metahuman. meaning no need to go to Ray for his help, no raylicity moments that would have been really awkward since they just broke up, so really that time is spent at verdant thinking and talking about getting Roy out of prison. Lance still interrupts them with the search warrant, and their base is outed. the team regroups at thea's loft.

(meanwhile, someone posing as scpd CSI but is actually Sarab in disguise plants something on the underside of Felicity’s desk which emits a silent blinking red light.)

Lance will approach Thea to tell her about Roy getting attacked, pulling her away from the rest of the crew even as he looks scornfully at them.

Thea will tell them what she learned after Lance leaves, triggering Oliver and Diggle's confrontation to happen the same way as in the show, Felicity will run out after him like the show but will instead read him in on their plan, against Roy's wishes, because that's the only way Oliver will stand down.

eventually Lance will come back hours later to tell Thea Roy was killed. Lance blames Oliver on his way out of course. Oliver will turn to Felicity and Diggle with indignation, but before he can ask if that was part of the plan, Diggle says they need to get back to verdant to talk about this.

and that's where they'll be (Thea included) when Roy shows back up. Felicity says she'll hack into the ME's report to say his body was already processed (so that no one is shocked to find the body gone), and goes to boot up her computer to do just that, but then she notices the blinking red light, which has been blinking slowly, when suddenly it starts blinking rapidly and she knows what's about to happen. Roy is closest to her, the other three are further away, so she tackles Roy just as her computer explodes and there's the origin point of my fic.

I'm probably not going to incorporate all this into the fic itself, but maybe a one shot prequel that'll be part of the series but outside the main fic.

As some of you might know, I’m currently writing a little something. But I just realized that I don’t speak french. Shocking, In know. But I just wanted Regulus to say something in french and I can’t do it. And using a translator just feels…wrong? Ughhh annoying. But I really can’t start learning french just to write a few sentences in my fanfics, can I? It’s crazy. I feel crazy. Is it, tho?

*Minor Spoilers* This is a very sweet AU! Crowley here is a non fiction author looking for inspiration for a romance book of his own. Aziraphale is a librarian who is more than a little eager to help! Full of awkward flirting, and the promise of a very tender romance ahead of them.

There are two points that I really loved about this story in particular. I love trans Crowley already, but I like that this was more of a background detail for him. It's not angst or hard, it's not an obstacle, it just is. We don't have any agonizing over it. It's a part of Crowley, but it's not a barrier to his life or his new relationship with Aziraphale. On Aziraphale's side, I really love how he is not a stuffy pretentious librarian. He makes it a point to read anything and everything. His joy in being able to recommend books to Crowley and others is infectious. It made me want to put down fanfic and read a novel....which is unlikely to actually happen considering I have a full on fanfic addiction.

The cast of characters here is really fun, though some moments I felt like I was listening to conversations that I wasn't apart of. There's some history and subtext, particularly with Anathema, that I felt like I had missed some context on. You can tell there's going to be a lot of love in this community. When the story ends, it feels like it's only the beginning for this entire group. You can tell are going to become so important to each other.

Mostly safe in public, a couple of explicit scenes but they are towards the end! This was a very nice light afternoon read!

In regards to that last ask you answered- I’m super curious as to why you’ll be releasing the rest of the fic in one go after chapter 20! I don’t know nothin’ about releasing fics and schedules and what not, so I’m not judging your preference at all! But why release it all at once? Not complaining at all, I love your fics and all your writings I’ve been blessed enough to stumble upon! Just curious :) do absolutely anything that makes you happy! feel free to ignore!

I don't mind answering! It's mainly because I want to focus on finishing my personal work. I just turned 29 (for those of you who don't know that I'm old lol) and it's a personal goal of mine to finish my manuscript and start querying agents before the big three zero.

But I really want to finish A Tale of Spirits before I do. I know myself, and if I get too deep into my manuscript then the updates for A Tale of Spirits will be few and far between. So I set my manuscript down (I needed to step away from it for a bit anyway) and decided to finish the Fic completely. Don't worry, I'm not rushing it. Right now I should be done with it by next month or so, but if it takes any longer then I'll keep you guys updated.

But yeah, 29 is my 'year of growth' and I want to hit all my goals. And starting it off with finishing and completing ATOS would be a huge accomplishment and motivator for me.
