Surviving Malik Yoba: We had sex, when I was just a teen. For all who applaud and solute Malik Yoba for revealing he is so called ‘Trans Attracted’, understand that either because of deeper issues he has or, because of ‘society’ pushing him and others to deep, dark places, his admission to being sexually attracted to Trans women, is bound to open a Pandora’s box for him; not because the women are Trans, But because many of the Trans women he engaged in sexual exploration and exploitation with on 14th Street, Times Square and elsewhere, were minors. Including myself. I started seeing him personally, with my own two eyes, cruising around the meatpacking district and Village, large black Jeep, looking for Trans fem sex workers, he preferred black trans girls; pretty, slim girls, but would pick up a latinx if she was put together and/or looked mixed. That was close to 20 years ago, and I can still remember it like yesterday. i also remember the day a friend of mine said, real cool, like she was known to do “.......walk down that block..Just go! He wants You.....”. You always remember celebrity clients. It’s like time slows down. You remember every detail, Blood pounding. He was cute, and polite, don’t get me wrong. But I’m sure he knew what he was doing, was Wrong..... New York Undercover was still on t.v.. I remember living in group homes and being in institutions, and giggling when he and the actor who played his partner would flash across the t.v. Screen. Most group homes didn’t have cable, so NY Undercover and all the other shows on the basic ny channels were staples. Some of the other kids could tell something was up; I knew they’d never believe my ‘story’ anyway. NYs Child Sex Abuse law means Malik will have to face the music. Sorry to burst a lot of folks bubbles. And I don’t give a FUCK who doesn’t believe me or feels I’m trying to ride a wave! mmkay ima make a new ask thingy between us so I dont lost all those music recommendations~! I'll prolly give those Florence songs a listen either tomorrow or Wednesday~ Spraytan sounds really weird but kinda cool, I'll check them out too! I've been trying to find more LGBT bands, especially ones that don't revolve around pop music~ sorry to keep asking these questions, what other LGBT bands have you been listening to? or just what pandora throws you? AAA so much new music, this is so great :D

Umm well i know i’ve already mentioned that I listen to pandora stations LGBTQ Indie, and LGBTQ Hip hop, Against Me! would be lgbt punk band now that the lead singer Laura Jane Grace, has come out as a trans woman. Shamir, which is really cool like fun dance music, and he identifies as genderqueer, saying in interviews “he never really felt like a boy or girl” Angel Haze, who is hiphop raper, they identify as agender, and omg i usually don’t like rap, but Angel Haze, is like really good. They did a cover of Same Love, and it’s sooooooo goods, like way better than original in my opinion. 

Then of course there’s a ton of drag queen music too as well, and i main;y really enjoy Adore Delano’s albums, and I like Alaska Thunderfuck’s albums as well. ohh gosh there’s probably a ton more out there! 

Umm there’s a 90s rock band called Pansy Division, that is a gay band! I like their song, Fem in a Black leather jacket. Ohhh of course you can never go wrong with Joan Jett, she’s been known to date men/women, and Joan Jett, is just sooo freaking awesome in general! 

Also if you like like more punk music, there’s a ton of different bands under subgenre called “queercore” so far i’ve listened to Pansy Division, Hunx and his Punx, Le Tigre(which was started by Kathleen Hanna, who started the 90s punk band Bikini Kill, and then went on to do Julie Ruin), Erase Errata. Also fuf thing i found out that Queen Latifah, did hiphop music too as well, and i think she came out as gay. I liked one of her songs Wraith of my Madness. 

There’s also a gay rapper named Zebra Katz, and i’ve enjoy his song Ima Read. Then another song by Cakes Da Killa called I Run this Club. Ohh there’s also Scissor Sisters, and I really like their song Let’s Have a Kiki, and then there’s Mary Lambert too as well, but i know she’s pretty well known, and is more poppish. There’s also Tegan and Sara, which is identical twins who are both openly gay. Gosh there’s sooo much. 

i definitely try to go out of my way to find LGBT music, books, movies, and tv shows! They’re so much harder to find, but omg it makes me so much more happier to get to enjoy things more lgbt focused or representation at least for once!
