Would you ever consider doing a tutorial on how you set up LR? I'm interested in the long continuous page format and I have no idea how people set up their canvas for it

I'd love to sometime, when I can get a hot second to do it. I used to be able to show off the Rekindled drawing process back when I was still streaming, but with my tablet still out of order, streaming isn't really gonna be a thing for a while (also I've learned streaming is just sort of ... really exhausting for me so I'm thinking I'd rather go for just video recording and commentary or something).

That said, if I can give just like, a quick basic setup, Rekindled is drawn on canvases of 2400 px (width) by 15k px (height) minimum with a dpi of 350. The height isn't so much what matters as the width, height can be however long you want it to be due to vertical scrolling (though note that the longer your canvas is, the more processing power it'll take for your computer, so don't overdo it if your PC can't handle it lol), but width is a lot more limited on various platforms (ex. Webtoons has a restriction of 800 px wide, so I like using 2400px because it's easily divisible by 800, but that's JUST for my JPG's, my root files always stay at their original resolution of 2400px wide to ensure I can keep the highest-quality versions of the pages). This is pretty much my default layout for vertical webtoons, beyond just Rekindled, it's what works for me haha

Also I use Clip Studio where I can have an actual project manager with multiple pages per project, but you can do the same thing with Photoshop or any other software by just having different canvases/files per page.

Note to Self - Speaking without Words with Word Balloons

Word gallons are for more than just words. They can be used to emphasis and even add emotions and to a scene

Feeling dizzy? About to pass out?

The voice is coming from a place deeper and more unsettling and the text is uneven and handwritten

Wobbly uncertain bubbles that even break apart in some parts from dizziness (The Blind Prince by cozycroww)

Pain almost appears to be breaking the usually round bubble into uneven and broken balloons. The little smaller balloons around it are reminiscent of sweat or tears (Heir’s Game by suspu)

Ngl , I got into make up after watching true beauty lmao. Lim Ju-Kyung wasn't perfect when she first tried make up , she became good at it with practice. She used to read beauty blogs & make up magazines . She covered her acne with make up but she didn't put heavy makeup otherwise it would be obvious. Using eye shadow with no glitter is better than using one with glitter , eye shadow with glitter can make oily skin standout. I feel like Dear Peachie can help alot if you are trying to learn make up. Her tips are helpful.

They never showed her working out lmao😭. Lim ju kyung body was always goals. True beauty's author Yaongi posted on instagram where she was doing pilates or playing golf. ( she deleted those posts :( . However you can try this true beauty inspired workout. It's very tiring but effective ! You can also try Shirlyn Kim full body workout !

Hi howdy so now that summer break is upon us I as a person who’s struggled with ADHD since the day my mother expelled me from her uterus have a super handy tip for those of you who have trouble remembering what day it is

STEP ONE: download webtoon (or any other webcomic site it really doesn’t matter webtoon is just the one that I’m familiar with)

STEP TWO: look for three to four comics that update weekly on different days of the week(you’ll think that picking a comic for every day of the week will work better but trust me you’ll just get overwhelmed and the system will fall apart) try to make sure that the days are spread out too don’t just choose Friday Saturday Sunday comics cuz then the days will blend together

STEP THREE: profit! (srsly this system works super well for me and I def recommend it)

I want to make a comic for webtoon but I've seen a lot of people with the same problem... at the moment of publishing their comic it comes out blurry. I don't want that happening with my comics, I know you've been publishing Freaky Friday both on tumblr and webtoon... so can you tell me what to do? I love your comics Btw!!

So I had to look this up earlier because I wasn't sure myself either, I've never had this issue before. I found this reddit thread with some explanations and possible solutions.

The canvas size for Tumblr I use (since recently) is 1240x3600 pixels with 300 DPI, while for Webtoon, it's 800x30000 pixels with 300 DPI.

The low quality as some of the users mentioned might be due to your files being .jpg instead of .png, or because Webtoon tends to compress images when your pages are spliced.

It depends on what software/app you're using to draw your comic, so you might be able to change your settings and formatting in order to prevent this from happening whether it's changing the DPI or resizing your canvas (800 pixels in width is recommended for sure). I hope this helped

I'm thinking of starting a webtoon...I've always suffered from Maladaptive Daydreaming and am wanting to make the story I've been daydreaming a reality.

HOWEVER, while my art is okay, my writing is a little strained. At the end of the day, I want to create a community around these characters I created and bring them to life. Any tips on how to get started?
