So I've heard about a large variety of different ways of being trans or non binary and how they experience gender and in those explanations, I also heard about what it is like to be cis, largely as a way to explain how being trans is different. And as a gender confused person, when I heard what they thought it was like to be cis, I was like oh yeah, I definitely don't feel like that.
But then I recently started talking to cis people about how they experience gender and many did not fit into the box we have created. There was a wide variety of ways people experience gender within being cis. And that's really cool.
I think it's important for people to know that. Cis people have a variety of gender experiences, a variety of how they relate to their gender. Gender does not have to be a one dimensional construct for anyone, whether they're queer or not.

any other afabs struggling with whether they're potentially trans/enby and are experiencing gender dysphoria/discomfort or if it is just discomfort with the way our perception of women have been twisted by misogyny, patriarchy, and heteronormativity?
like do I feel a disconnect from other women because I'm not one or is it because some of the women I'm around have bought into a misogynistic narrative that boxes them in?
do I have an issue with being a "girlfriend" in my relationships because it's a weird heteronormative word (like girl as a friend = romance) or is it because I'm not a girl?
am I being an obnoxious and harmful person when I feel like "I am not like other girls" or am I really not a girl?
is the thrum I get from being referred to with they/them pronouns from gender euphoria or is it simply relief at not being seen as a woman first and a person last?
like if society and language were different, would how I identify change? does it matter?

"He could be Patricia, Peter, Polly, or all three at once for all I care." - Benedict
So what I'm hearing is that Benedict would 100% be attracted to a gender fluid person and which means Sophie Beckett could be gender fluid (which could work really well with the double identities in the story line, if done respectfully) and then Bridgerton could explore a whole new facet of being queer beyond just sexuality.
Make it happen.

Doesn't Quite Fit
Womanhood is like a shirt
I've had my entire life.
It doesn't quite fit right
but it still is comfortable enough to wear.
I've tried other shirts on
and they've been nice too
but nothing quite fits correctly.
I am okay with this;
perhaps I was born
to wear ill fitting clothes.
So let me wear this shirt
but just know it doesn't quite fit.
Let me be a woman
and know it doesn't quite fit.

I am obsessed with young live action Ahsoka. Give me a series set right after clone wars/revenge of the Sith which is just Ariana Greenblatt as Ahsoka trying to survive the aftermath.

Do I hate Ben? Yes.
Did I cry for him when the rainbow tide/path washed right up to him and he still walked away? Also yes.
Those feelings can coexist.

What I say: I like the enemies to lovers trope
What people think I mean: two people who hate each other and are trying to kill each other but they're both hot so sometimes they makeout and maybe fall in love
What I really mean: two people who have done terrible things to each other but are trying to change but neither of them believe the other is capable of change so they keep assuming the worst about the other until they are forced to work together and one of them accidently reveals the trauma of their lives and they start seeing each other in a new light and soon they can only trust each other and slowly they're falling in love but they think the other person couldn't possibly love them because of how they hurt them so they keep it inside until it finally comes out OR two people who are enemies but not personally enemies but rather enemies because they are on two separate sides of a conflict and so they are forced to be fighting due to their superiors orders but they both have doubts about whether their side is truly right but they can't let the other person know but they keep running into each other and fighting and they seem nice and fair and not like the monster their superior says they are but can they really be sure? but now they have to work together for some reason and they're falling in love and do they have to overthrow both sides of the conflict now?

i have many issues with the Harry Potter books/movies but one of them is Peter Pettigrew' character. Like JKR made the only Gryffindor antagonist be ugly and fat (even pre animagus) and implied that the sorting hat made a mistake putting him in Gryffindor by making him a hatstall and a coward.
Like Peter should have been such an interesting character since he was the main antagonist that's not Slytherin and he betrayed all his friends but instead he is boring and makes no sense.
So what if instead of fear it were some of his Gryffindor traits that pushed him to the dark, like he actually believed in Voldemort's cause and so by joining him he actually saw himself as being brave or being a hero and he was too stubborn, reckless, and prideful to consider other ways. And yes, you'd need a backstory on why Peter came to the conclusion Voldemort is right, but it would be way more interesting and scarier and more tragic.
Instead of poor foolish Peter being too scared to say no to Voldemort you get cunning Peter choosing Voldemort over his friends.
TLDR: Peter Pettigrew should never have been portrayed as weak and foolish and cowardly because it diminishes the tragedy of his betrayal and undermines the fact that he was a Gryffindor.

I loved Brimsley and Reynolds romance in Queen Charlotte. I was devastated by the end and I refuse to let their story be over.
That being said, their relationship mirrors Charlotte and George's in many ways, so the two main romances of the show (one straight, one gay) both felt tragic, which is very beautiful. So if I'm feeling generous I could try and justify Brimsley and Reynolds sad ending because of this.
BUT if their romance is the only queer romance in the Bridgeton universe I will stop being generous. If the only queer romance we get is their tragic one I will riot. You can only tell tragic queer love stories if you also tell happy queer love stories, ESPECIALLY when you are telling many, many happy straight love stories.
What I'm saying is we are now owed a happy queer love story in the Bridgeton universe and I will not accept otherwise.

So the tv show Queen Charlotte showed why England in Bridgeton is not really a racist society and it is due to Queen Charlotte. And it wasn't a super realistic explanation but that's totally fine!
But now what I need is for Queen Charlotte to realize Brimsley is gay in the next season of Bridgeton and to decriminalize homosexuality specifically so he can be with Reynolds (who is not dead!) because you know out of everyone she would think love is love.
And she would legalize gay marriage and hold a lavish wedding for them. The King would make a short appearance, showing his support, and no one could question the king, and bam! It is great experiment #2 and we're progressing into a non homophobic society in England.

The Star Wars franchise is so unique in that it follows generations of characters. We get to see characters grow old and have kids. We get to see the aftermath of wars and the wars that follow. We get to see the major events that happen in their universe and then look at all the small events that led to them.
It's beautiful because it echoes the real world in that no one ever reaches a happily after because the world happens, politics happens, society happens.
The good guys think they win just for it to fall apart years later. The bad guys think they win just for it to fall apart later. Nothing is permanent.
And underneath the heroes are the mountains of tragedies that were necessary to make that hero win. Luke Skywalker would have changed little if it weren't for the rebels who came and died before him.

Within context Yoda's "do or do not, there is no try" quote makes sense but it's always rubbed me the wrong way since it can easily be interpreted as there is no point in trying.
So it was so healing that within the star wars universe we got to hear Nemik say:
"Remember this: try."

Lucas is 100% going to be playing running up that hill for Max constantly while she's in her coma, because it is her favorite song but also because Lucas is afraid she is stuck in some vecna induced coma. And he 100% sings along when he's alone with her, because he knows all the words (of course he does! It's Max's favorite song) and it's tragic and he always chokes up when he sings "And if I only could, I'd make a deal with God, And I'd get him to swap our places" because it's true. He totally would.
But it isn't like with Max who wanted to die (in the beginning) and who had such a complicated relationship with Billy, where there was abuse and little love. But Max just had so much guilt and depression that it didn't matter and she just wanted to die.
No. With Lucas it is simple. He doesn't want to die. But he loves Max. So if he could take her place he would. No hesitation.
