freddy and reader falling asleep while cuddling and watching a movie with the family + the wake up the next morning..?
(established relationship, too..?) ⭐️
Tumblr media
It’s movie night and it has became routine for Freddy to invite you along, unashamedly using it as an excuse to spend more time with you and have you grow accommodated to his family. At first you were adamant in joining, believing yourself to only get in the way of quality family time but as it turns out, his family were more then happy to have you join them and would always make sure that you were seated next to your boyfriend; Now every time movie night arrived, it has became accustom for Freddy and his family to anticipate your arrival before playing the first film.
‘Hey Freddy it’s your-‘ ‘Victor!’ Rosa whispered, he raised his brows at her, wondering why she shushed him and she only gestured with her head. ‘Look.’ Victor then followed to where Rosa wanted him to look and an soft ‘oh’ left his lips as a smile graced her lips. You and Freddy were fast asleep, cuddled up against one another; your head resting in the crook of your boyfriends neck whilst the rest of your body was tucked tightly into the crevices of his side as though he held all the warmth. Meanwhile with Freddy, his head rested atop of yours as his arms were caging your waist, tightening their hold when he felt you shift slightly, making certain that you remained firmly against him at all times.
It was obvious that at some point of the night you and Freddy had gotten so comfortable in your cuddling position and so happened to relax just enough to the point you had drifted to sleep then and there. ‘How long have they been like that?’ Victor asked and Rosa merely shrugs, still smiling at you and Freddy, ‘Who knows but I’m happy that Freddy’s found them.’ Victor hums in agreement, his heart swelling with pride for his little boy, ‘as am I Rosa, Freddy has found a keeper that’s for certain. But what I’m also certain about is the crooked necks they’re going to get in the morning’ he then looks over at Rosa, ‘and I don’t think I’m prepared for the whining that will ensue from it.’
‘We should get them to bed, the settee doesn’t make that great of a bed.’ Rosa chuckles as she took the blanket that had been draped over her and Victor’s laps in favour to drape it across yours and Freddy’s bodies, pressing a kiss to both of your foreheads, where she then wished you both a goodnight afterwards, ‘thank you for looking after my son.’ She whispered to you. With movie night effectively finished, Victor grunts as he hauls himself from his seat and managed to wrangle you and Freddy into his arms as he carries you both up to Freddy and Billy’s shared bedroom. ‘Welcome to the family kiddo.’ He whispered as he pressed a kiss to both yours and Freddy’s foreheads and closing the door behind him, though not without one last look back at you both, smiling when he saw you cling onto to each other’s like koalas. ‘Kids.’ He murmurs affectionately.
You groaned as you felt yourself starting to wake up, instinctively nuzzling into the warmth beneath you, smiling softly as just as you began to drift back into the arms of sleep, when the warmth beneath you spoke. ‘Morning baby.’ It muttered as it pressed a kiss to the top of your head, tightening it’s grip on your waist. You moved your head to have a look at who it was, only to smile when you were greeted with the beautiful eyes belonging to your equally beautiful boyfriend, Freddy. Who looked as though he has just woken up; which -to be fair-he had. ‘Good morning to you too handsome.’ You mused softly, still a little sleepy from how comforting his warmth was, as you pressed a kiss or two just underneath his chin.
‘It certainly is a good morning with you here in my arms.’ Freddy replied cheekily and before you both could greet each other with a good morning kiss, a groan could be heard from Billy’s side of the room as the boy was attempting to block everything out by using his pillow to cover his ears. ‘You guys do realise I’m here right?’ He asks.
‘When did you get there?’ Freddy asked
‘Dude! This is my room too you know!’ Billy exclaimed. ‘Do you think I want to be here, hearing you macking on each other?’
‘You’re just jealous that I got an amazing partner before you did aren’t you?’ Freddy teased, tucking you further against him as you leisurely listened in on the brotherly banter.
‘No I’m not!’ Billy cried, throwing his arms in the arm, which only served in making you laugh, ‘just don’t start making out when I’m still in the room.’
A silence lingered in the air when Freddy decided that it needed to be broken.
‘You know you’re not obligated to stay-‘
‘Oh fuck you dude.’ Billy cuts him off.
‘Love you too bro.’ Freddy teased before looking at you, ‘but I love you more sweetheart.’ He utters softly as you smiled at him. ‘Love you too Freddy bear.’ You whisper, pecking his lips.
Billy fake gags.
Freddy throws his pillow at his brother for ruining the sweet moment.

Prompt
Jason’s return to Gotham as the crime lord Red Hood is significantly hampered when he saves two kids from being trafficked and suddenly finds himself nagging the two to eat their vegetables and do homework on time and, dear lord, your names are Freeman and… Batson? Yeah that’s it, Jason is not waiting this one out until they’re both suddenly dressed in traffic light colors and swinging around the city with an overgrown furry.
Freddy and Billy are a bit confused by the flash adoption via menacing Gotham guy, but it certainly helps that he’s not threatening to send them into the system and that he cooks them meals every day . And also “Billy, I think he might be the new vigilante! That is so cool!” “… do you mean the new crime lord?” “Same thing! Isn’t the helmet awesome!?”
Batman and Robin are… not sure what to make of the new crime lord that, on one hand, keeps antagonizing them to no end, and on the other hand was recently spotted at a meeting with his lieutenants where two masked kids burst into the room to scream about the kitchen being on fire and pointing at each other yelling “It’s all his fault!”

Identity reveal shazamily fic idea:
They're fighting some big bad in a huge cave or throne room or in an air pocket miles underwater (the Rock?) and the league and shazamily are all there, every two stuck in separate areas (magic barriers? Cave ins? Enemies simply not letting them close?).
The roof is starting to collapse. Billy catches it, but with his powers divided, he's struggling. With a time limit before he falls, the battle intensifies.
Mary and her jl partner fells her opponent first, and looks across the room just in time to see him stagger under the crushing weight. She cannot reach him (in time?). They meet each others eyes. The wisdom of Solomon, or perhaps Mary batson, has an idea.
In a crash of thunder, she detransforms, in front of their enemies, and the entire justice league.
With power returned, captain marvel stands a bit straighter. The roof grows heavier. Cracks scatter across the high ceiling.
As Mary is carried to safety, the family understands what they must do.
In conjunction with the league member they were trapped with, they work to defeat their opponents, and one by one transform, each time revealing people too small, too young. The crash of thunder marks each victory. Rubble starts to fall and shake the earth as the league members pull their partners to safety, gathering together by the entrance, bandaging their wounds. All eyes are on Marvel, trapped under a great pillar of stone. (They have been working with him for years now, but each of his family has been revealed to be children. Is he, too?) Each time he raises the ceiling a little higher, and each time it grows heavier as the battles and the ticking clock destabilise the thousands of tons above.
At last, the final group win, and exhausted league members piggy back the last child hero over the rubble.
All are evacuated, but Marvel cannot move. Rapid power transfer and hours of stress have taken their toll, and he needs to transform back as well.
Finally, finally, green lantern and superman reach him, and with their help he is freed, collapsing to the side in relief. No one says a word.
With one final lightning strike, the last member of the team is revealed.
He's twelve years old.
And the league needs to take them all to safety.

This sick fic is based some brainrot I sent @modernsuperhero.
“Fic where Captain Marvel's just up and gone for a while in the winter and it's because Billy got really sick and he couldn't get a ‘Shazam!’ out. Mans can't even breathe through his *nose,* dude.”
“Freddy's this close to using Billy's Justice League comm and blowing the secret because even if his friend's probably not gonna die the city needs protecting. Billy hoarse shouts that he's got it. He'll be back out there soon.”
“Billy piled with every blanket they have and getting most of their fluids because they just need one good word. Just *one* clear Shazam and he'll be fine.”
“He'll still be sick as Billy but they'll be able to get to nicer spots to sleep and keep villains and criminals at bay until he changes back.”
(To clarify: Billy’s patrons are external peeps only in this one and Marvel’s only around sometimes.)
Billy feels pathetic.
He hasn’t been on patrol for days and people have noticed. He drops off the map all the time as Captain Marvel whenever one of his teammates needs a hand. He’s gone to space a nonzero amount of times, for weeks. So it’s not like the people of Fawcett are worried, but they’ve noticed.
And if they’ve noticed, the league has definitely noticed.
It hasn’t gotten to the point where they’ve started contacting him but he doesn’t want to let it get to that point. He’s gone four years without them dropping into his city for a wellness check and he’d like to keep that streak.
It’d be easy. Just power up, go on patrol for at least two hours, and then curl back up under the blanket pile to go round two with his fever. Or he could stay as Captain Marvel and just zap back to being Billy so he can hydrate and pee and possibly vomit. He’s learned not to go entire days as Marvel when he’s not on extended league trips because the consequences are disgusting. His younger body isn’t completely in stasis when he’s Marvel and it’s admittedly not the worst drawback to juggle.
The problem? He’s failed at step one.
“Sh-“ Billy fights not to cough. “Shazam.”
Instead of lightning crashing through the roof of the condemned clinic they’ve holed up in all that comes is that dumb fucking mucus from the back of his throat. The stuff that’s plagued him for days.
He coughs up the phlegm, spits off to the side, and tries again. “Shazam. Shazam, Shazam, Shazam!”
None of them come out louder than a whisper. Billy thunks his head against the wall and sniffles because wiping his nose with his sleeve would be pointless.
Freddy went to go refill their water bottles at a public fountain that’s still running a couple blocks away. Billy is supposed to be sleeping and getting better, but he doesn’t need to get better if he can just get a clear word out.
Just one clear Shazam and he’d be able to take a zeta tube up to the Watchtower to raid the infirmary and the fridge and also snag some more blankets because the one he’s snuggled up against is all gross now. And then he’d have some medicine and get better faster so he can get back to working for laundry and food money and also they’d be able to move all their stuff to somewhere less vulnerable. Somewhere that won’t make him sick again-
There’s so much stuff to do that he can only think in circles about and it’s driving him up the wall. Billy counts himself lucky that there haven’t been any big name threats in town. They show up sometimes if they think he’s not here so they can lure him back from whatever mission he’s on and spring a trap on him.
Instead it’s just been Freddy taking care of him as best as he can with the stuff they have. Billy swears that the moment he can he’s gonna go shove so many supplies into a pocket dimension that they’ll never have to think about not having enough until at least New Year’s. Damn whatever his coworkers will think, they’ve been hungry hungry and him throwing up what little they have isn’t helping. He wants to make this right so bad it burns worse than the cold.
“Shazam.” Billy croaks into the silence of the drafty supply closet. “Shazam.”
Billy looks, sounds, and feels pathetic.
Billy tenses at the sound of a door creaking. He grabs the screwdriver he’s hidden in the blanket pile and tries to look asleep.
“Billy, it’s me!”
Billy slumps with relief at the sound of Freddy’s voice. Cool, he’s not gonna have to knife fight someone over this spot. Again. It’s as his friend gets closer that Billy can make out his distinctive shuffle-tap and finds further comfort that it’s not a voice-snatcher either.
His life’s so fucking weird.
“I know you’re not actually sleeping, dingbat.” There’s a crinkle sound. “I got dinner.”
And Billy’s up. Well, as up as he can be when he’s probably running a hundred and one degrees and ejecting half his body’s fluids or so every day. Which is to say he opens his eyes, props himself against the wall to sit up, and makes grabby hands at the chip bags Freddy managed to score.
“You’re the best.” Billy croaks out. “Any heat?”
Freddy tosses the medium-size Doritos bag Billy’s way. “Pfft, like they even looked my way. I’m too quick to be perceived by mortal eyes.”
“Did you get the other thing?” Billy asks with no small amount of hope in his raspy voice.
“The water? Yeah, just a sec.” Freddy twists his backpack around so he can access it and pulls out one of the Gatorade bottles they fill with water.
“Nice.” Billy hisses out with a smile.
He shuffles out from under all of their blankets and grabs the offered water. Chips can wait, he has to try.
Freddy thinks otherwise.
“Whoa, hey, maybe you should eat first? You didn’t keep anything down yesterday.”
Billy gives Freddy a flat look. “We’ve been over this. Cap comes first because he’s gonna put us first.”
“Marvel would want you to eat.” Freddy points out.
“Marvel isn’t here right now.”
Billy pointedly doesn’t think about what Solomon would say about this. He’ll deal with the lecture while he’s grabbing all the cough medicine the Watchtower has in stock.
As it stands, he stands up so he can take a swig of water and go outside to transform. For all his worrying, Freddy knows Billy’s right and lets him leave the room to exit through the hole in the waiting room.
It’s near freezing outside and if this doesn’t work Billy’s probably setting himself back on any progress he’s made recovering. But he doesn’t care. He drinks a quarter of the water bottle, clears his throat, and tries to speak clearly.
“Shazam!”
Silence. Nothing but the distant sounds of his city going about its day.
His grip on the bottle tightens and if it wouldn’t be an absolute waste he’d chuck it as far as he’s capable of. Which would be pretty damn far, Strength of Hercules or no.
Billy doesn’t want to, but he walks back inside red in the face from more than just the cold and plops back onto their blanket pile. He eats his chips without a word and Freddy doesn’t even say anything because he does have tact.
They both know why this pisses him off so much.
After everything he’s faced, after all the fights and the invasions and the world-ending catastrophes. It’s a goddamn sore throat that’s doing him in. That’s made him feel more helpless and scared and uncertain than all his enemies combined.
Because it doesn’t matter how pure his heart is. His body is small and malnourished and doesn’t have decent shelter more than a third of the time. He’s going to get sick. And no amount of blessings or Wisdom or lightning can help him if he keeps hacking up a lung like this. His teammates won’t be able to help him if he’s wearing this face.
He won’t let them. No matter what Freddy says.
“Y’know-“
“No.” Billy shuts that line of thought down immediately.
Freddy balls up his empty Lays bag. “You didn’t even let me start.”
“I know what you’re gonna say, Freddy.” It’s the same argument every time.
“Well maybe this time you’ll find it compelling.”
Billy starts dragging the blankets onto his lap. “Highly doubt it.”
“Just, at least think about it. We wouldn’t even have to tell them you’re, well, you. We can tell them Cap sent us because you were really sick! And that he’s busy taking care of some bad guy and can’t get us the stuff he normally does.”
“You want to walk up to a zeta tube and tell them you’re one of Cap’s strays? Batman would look into us in a heartbeat and if he decides to keep an eye on us ‘for our own good’ I’d get caught so fast.” Billy rubs at his face. “The lightning’s not subtle, Freddy.”
“Then we don’t call Batman. What about Superman?”
“Superman would call CPS on us so fast. Next.” He’s willing to run down the list if it means Freddy drops this.
He doesn’t have to, apparently. Freddy drags a hand through his hair and leans forward from where he’s sitting on a crate that’s probably as old as they are.
“Then I don’t know how else to help you, Billy.” Freddy admits.
Billy’s confused. “What are you talking about? You’ve helped plenty.”
Freddy’s been providing for both of them for days now. Getting them food and water and keeping an eye on the news so Billy can actually sleep knowing there’s no big trouble. He’s even insisted on Billy taking more than his usual share of the blanket pile despite the fact that his sweat and general sickness is making them gross. Those have all been a huge help!
“That’s not true. Yeah, I’ve been picking up some slack, but I haven’t helped you. Not the way you do for me when I’m sick.”
“That’s not fair.” Billy says immediately. “You’re doing everything you can-“
“And what if it’s not enough?” The sudden intensity of Freddy’s tone makes Billy flinch back a little. “You haven’t gotten worse but you also haven’t gotten better. We don’t even know what you’re sick with, what if it’s something really bad?”
Oh holy shit. Billy didn’t know this was eating at Freddy so much. He feels like an asshole for not taking this seriously.
Of course Freddy’s worried. They both get sick all the time. They eat stuff they probably shouldn’t have, they cuddle their way through rough nights under bridges, they get exposed to all kinds of space germs because Billy’s life is weird.
But they’ve always had Cap through all that. By the luck of the gods Billy’s always been able to power up and take charge of the situation, even when he’s the one sick.
Especially when it’s Freddy that’s sick. He pulls out every stop and uses Cap’s form to get Freddy somewhere warmer, to get him good food, to get them access to medicine.
Freddy can’t do that. The medicine aisles in pharmacies are too far in the back for Freddy to make a clean escape, no matter how subtle or quick he is. Billy’s still the one that would have to get up and throw hands if someone tried to take this spot from them, sick or not. Freddy doesn’t have anyone he can call in to help.
Not without Billy’s permission.
Freddy seems to realize he’s unloaded and backtracks. “But we can figure something out. Please, Billy-“
“Okay.”
“I-“ Freddy pauses. “What? You’re serious.”
“Help me up, we’re calling Green Arrow. He owes me and he’s not a snitch.”
Freddy sticks his arm into the loop for his crutch and crosses the closet to help Billy up. “Epic. Alright, how far is the nearest tube?”
“I think it’s the telephone booth four blocks East. The one by the nice deli.” Billy is tempted to take a blanket with him but just pulls his jacket closed and starts walking. “I’ll do the talking. We’re telling him we’re the kids Cap talks about and that he’s off-world. I’m gonna have to bullshit a report and maybe lie to Batman’s face when I clock in again but I want cough drops so bad.”
“If you tell them it was magic stuff they might not ask where you went,” Freddy suggests as they exit through the hole in the wall.
Billy snorts. “Of all the things to be thankful for I never thought it’d be the Justice League knowing fuck all about magic.”
The trip to the zeta tube is thankfully uneventful. Billy feels even colder than he normally would because of his fever and Freddy’s on the lookout for any trouble heading their way.
When they make it there the booth is more than big enough to hold them both. Billy prefers contacting people from these instead of using his actual comm when he can help it because he’s a little paranoid that Bats will get a ping on where he is when he uses it. Not an unfounded fear because he’d wave it off as a safety thing.
He dials Green Arrow’s extension and realizes as the phone rings that Freddy’s put himself in front of the door. No backing out of this, they’ve come this far.
“Cap, to what do I owe the pleasure?”
Billy’s seized by a sudden anxiety. His throat feels like it’s squeezed shut and he wants to hang up and run. Freddy reaches for his hand and grips it tightly.
Green Arrow sounds concerned when he asks. “Captain Marvel, are you there?”
Billy takes a deep breath that’s probably audible and says, “This isn’t Captain Marvel, sir.”
There is silence on the other end and Billy’s never felt this wrong-footed in his life. He wants to bail so bad.
“What’s wrong, kid?” Green Arrow asks in a softer voice and something in Billy’s chest unwinds.
That’s right. His friends and coworkers are heroes. Helping the Billy Batsons of the world is what they do.
“Green Arrow, sir, we’re really sorry to bother you. There’s no emergency or anything but Captain Marvel said to call you if he didn’t come back from the magic place soon and-“
“Whoa whoa, slow down. How do you know Captain Marvel? Do you know why he left?”
“Oh, he didn’t tell us where he was going but he didn’t seem really worried. He brings us food and blankets and stuff sometimes.” Billy hears Green Arrow hum over the phone. Good, he remembers. “And normally we’d be fine with him being late, he’s off saving the world and all so we get it.”
“But you’re sick, right? You need help sooner than that.” Green Arrow guesses.
Billy knows he sounds awful but damn. Okay. Swallow back your pride and the little bit of shame, Billy. No time for that.
“Mhmm. He said we could call this number on this phone and someone else would help-“
“Don’t even worry about it kid, just tell me what you need. Food, medicine, a place to stay?”
Bill straightens his posture and says, “We’ve got a place to stay, sir. We’d really appreciate some nonperishable food items, preferably stuff we don’t need a stove for but if it’s canned we can finesse it with a lighter. But what we’re really hoping for is some cough syrup and fever reducers. Something for this congestion too-”
Freddy bumps their shoulders together and pinches his sweater with a meaningful gesture. He’s absolutely right, the shame’s already gone. And Arrow owes him big.
“And also small-bills and change for laundry, if that’s doable. Maybe some tarps and also like a wagon or something to carry this in. Do you need me to repeat any of this, sir?”
“Nah, I’ve got a list going. I can call in a solid and be in Fawcett before nightfall, probably like 8pm. Where do you want me to drop this stuff off?”
“We can come back to meet you at the uh-“ Billy fumbles for a second because he’s probably not supposed to know what this is. Luckily he has to cough and it covers his awkward pause. “The phone booth we’re calling from, sir.”
“Sounds like a plan. Don’t you worry. It’s going to be okay.”
Billy grips the phone and tries not to let Arrow hear how that made his breath hitch. For once he’s grateful for how raspy and congested he already sounds when he thanks his teammate and hangs up.
Freddy is content to let him have his little moment instead of rubbing this in his face. He’s being so patient today.
But Billy’s man enough to admit it. “You were right.”
Freddy squeezes his hand with a smile. “Always am.”
“Not true.” Billy playfully shoves him.
There’s not a whole lot to do while they wait for Green Arrow, but they head back to their spot to watch over it anyway. They start folding their stuff and taking inventory because when Arrow follows through it won’t be much longer until they can move.
When they get back to the phone booth early and sit inside it to wait a fancy black car pulls up on the curb.
Billy grips the screwdriver he brought with him and hopes Green Arrow’s not gonna show up to them beating off a rich creeper.
Then Green Arrow steps out the driver’s seat in full costume and Billy shoots to his feet so fast he nearly falls over. Freddy half-shoves him forward, which doesn’t help but it gets him moving.
“You the kids who called?” Green Arrow asks with a frown that Billy knows means he’s thinking hard.
“Yes, sir!” Billy croaks. He can’t wait to not sound like a garbage disposal.
“In that case-“ Green Arrow rounds the car and pops the trunk. “Come check out your haul.”
It’s the first time in a long time that Billy Batson has approached an adult man opening a car trunk and felt completely safe. Freddy’s quick to beat him there and take it all in.
It’s so much. Canned food, a 48 pack of water bottles, four folded up tarps, thick blankets, disposable bowls and plastic silverware, a portable stove. And that’s not even counting the Aldi bag of snacks and candy and reusable ponchos.
Billy wants to cry. This is the most anyone has ever given them at once and all he had to do was ask. He feels so stupid and so grateful at once.
He didn’t even notice when Green Arrow opened the back seat to pull out an actual red wagon until he started stacking stuff onto it. Billy’s small and sick and he’s never respected Green Arrow more in his life. He’s going to take every bullet for this man. All of them.
“Didn’t know if you wanted anything else, so take this too.” Green Arrow finishes stacking stuff and presents them with some sandwich bags of money.
One is full of just quarters and is heavy because of it, another is filled with wads of what look like ones and fives, and the third is filled with wads of twenties. Plural.
Billy is crying. He shouldn’t be because his nose is already congested and he’s gonna be so embarrassed later that he cried in front of his coworker, but fuck it. He hugs him and gets a surprised little oof for his troubles when he squeezes the life out of Arrow. Arrow hugs him back anyway and it takes everything in Billy not to cover his friend’s costume in snot.
Billy’s probably just another victim that Arrow’s helping. One act of kindness out of the thousands Green Arrow does a month.
But for him and Freddy? This is everything. And Captain Marvel’s gonna have to be the one to pay it back tenfold next time Arrow breaks a bone he shouldn’t have and needs someone to watch over his city.
“Thank you.”
Green Arrow’s voice is warm and sure and a little bit of that everything when he says, “No problem. Stay safe, alright? The Big Red Cheese will be back before you know it.”
Billy pulls back and laughs. Because yeah, yeah he will.
He decides to pull the cart while Freddy keeps a hand on its contents from behind. Green Arrow watches them for about a block before they can hear his expensive car rev to life and pull away.
Billy gives it another two blocks before Freddy signals it’s all clear and he pops the entire cart into a pocket dimension. They walk the rest of the way with empty hands but wide grins as they talk about what they should actually have for dinner now. They’ve already had some chips but given their high spirits they can probably split a can of chicken noodle soup or two. As a treat.
Before any of that though Billy pulls the medicine they got out and onto the floor so they can read over the labels and decide what he should take. The sore throat is an absolute priority now that they’ve been provided for. Freddy Freeman and Billy Batson are pretty set but Fawcett as a whole needs Cap back soon.
Some yucky cough syrup and actually hot soup later, they’re hashing out when they should go do laundry and what else they need and if it’d be viable to try to split a gym membership again for a little while for the showers. They can afford to have this conversation.
And if Captain Marvel drops by the Watchtower to submit his report a few days later and he tells Green Arrow they’re more than even with the widest grin anyone’s ever seen on him?
Well, that’s none of their business.

Kid Infinity! (DP/Shazam)
So this is a ‘Danny is adopted’ AU. He was found by the Fentons on one of their ghost hunts (just so perfectly right there- def not sus). I’d say ten or younger, if on the older end he has some (convenient) amnesia. The Fentons roll right along and adopt him, probably blaming ghosts for him being alone. (They might even be right- sort of)
Danny grows up a Fenton, has his accident, becomes Phantom as in canon. But when he gets cloned and Dani needs to be stabilized he’s told that he needs a sample from a biological relative that’s fully alive (for reasons). Cue panic over the ‘adopted’ reveal (if he didn’t know or others in Amity didn’t know -side eyes Vlad-)
They eventually end with Clockwork to find Danny’s birth family. Clockwork is acting shifty. He reluctantly admits that he stole Danny away as a child to avoid a worse timeline. In his previous timeline he still would have died as a teenager, but he would have been sort of brought back, tricked and used by evil while having no memory of his name or family. By bringing him here, Danny still died and came back but he has family and friends (and maybe a kingdom he defeated Pariah Dark for).
They are skeptical, but in a hurry, so they head off to Fawcett/Philly (depending on world) where Danny’s biological brother lives. They have an address and a name: Freddy Freeman.
Freddy is shocked to find out his little brother Kit- Christoper Freeman is still alive. Kit went missing before Freddy was in foster care, maybe. Maybe disappeared into the system. The explanation that his brother was cloned and they need help… well Freddy is really into hero stuff. After all, he is Captain Everypower/Captain Marvel Jr (depending on world). He is down to help and now Shazam and Phantom are allies (the GIW shiver in fear).
Yes, Clockwork stole the kid (Kit Freeman) who would become Kid Eternity away before he could be killed and then tricked by the Lords of Chaos and the (canon-wise!) ghost Mister Keeper. (He was a ghost in the original and 'an agent of the Chaos Lords' in the reboot) In this Mister Keeper would be a ghost working for the Chaos Lords. Kid Eternity’s powers were invisibility, intangibility, summoning spirits of the dead, flight, and a ghost form! Sounds familiar.
Clockwork wanted his King of the Infinite Realms Phantom and he made it happen.
Now Freddy has a brother, a sister (Dani), another new sister Jazz. He’s happy!
Uh, maybe Freddy’s foster parents take in Danny and Dani if the Fenton parents don’t take the reveal well?
Diana finds out her grandfather (Kronos) adopted a kid? And he’s part of Captain Marvel’s group now. Say what? Diana versus the American government (Anti-ecto acts)
Happy endings for all. Except the GIW.
So instead of Kid Eternity we have Kid Infinity!
I am imagining old Mamaragan (the wizard) and Clockwork staring each other down. Two old beings with magic staffs and a team of powered kids.

Shazam fanfic idea
I wish to write a silly little slice of life fic that's about Billy Batson and his chosen family and how they navigate their way in the world with their powers while dealing with homelessness as children. Having some good moments together playing in the park and having some not so good moments having to sleep in the same park at night, hiding from the police for various reasons. Dealing with issues with figuring out their identities as people and trans!Billy coming out to his family
Setting up a base in the Rock of Eternity and annoying the Wizard with how much glitter Darla can get into important places (she keeps drawing on the faces of the Seven Deadly Sins). Eventually making the base there their home when the Wizard sees how much they need help (or making them a magical dimension home)
Working with the Justice League from time to time and each and every one of them evades questioning from Batman about their secret identities perfectly!....until Freddy gets to work on a mission with Batman and Robin and accidentally let's slip something important which tumbles into Batman figuring out everything, but ultimately can't prove it. He low-key loses some sleep after learning the truth but will try and help their living situation as best as he can.
I could name the fic
"The Marvelous Misadventures of The Marvel Family"

One word prompts Bound for Billy and Freddy?
dghjfdgkj great choice of prompt + characters this one kinda writes itself huh
(on ao3!)
Waking up, his head foggy and aching from whatever they’d done to him and his vision swimming and his whole body heavy, his first instinct was to say the magic word. It didn’t come out right. He said it again and became aware of the damp cloth obstruction in his mouth and thought right, they gagged you, dummy.
Not that he was sure who they were. Stretching his mind back, he remembered being in a warehouse – sneaking around – they’d been doing some pretty serious recon and he remembered Billy saying is it me or does it smell like farts in here and after that it pretty much went dark.
Right. Billy. Squeezing his eyes shut, he relaxed. He’d been with Billy which meant Billy for sure knew something had happened to him and would come to the rescue any second now. It kinda sucked having to play distressed damsel but so long as they didn’t get Billy too everything would be fine.
He opened his eyes and the swimming red shape before him finally resolved himself into the back of a red hoodie and he thought ah, shit, they got Billy too.
He took full stock of his surroundings. He was lying on his side on a hard cold floor. Light was coming from somewhere to his right. He could see a nondescript wall. There was a sound of voices in a nearby room. Maybe a TV?
So he was in a building with floors and walls and probably a TV. Real helpful, Freeman, he told himself. Great deductions. He made a few, muffled attempts to get Billy’s attention, but he was limp and dead to the world.
Tilting his head back, he made out the bottom of a door. The corners of the room. It was a pretty small room. A closet or something. Yeah, he could see a mop in a bucket. They weren’t even being held hostage somewhere cool like an evil lair. He wriggled his wrists and determined that they were zip tied. He’d watched a YouTube video once about how to get out of a zip tie. If only he’d paid more attention.
There was a soft grunt nearby and Billy shifted, regained consciousness. Freddy gave him a second or two to get his bearingss and then made another urgent series of noises.
Grunting again, with a concerted effort Billy flopped over onto his back and looked at him. Figured that he was gagged too.
Okay. This was okay. With both of them awake they could actually maybe get out of this. He did his best with a mixture of muffled half-words and dramatic eye movements to communicate okay, so, if you roll back over and I turn over so we’re facing away from each other and then we both scoot in I’ll try and get your zip tie off and once you’re free you can free me and then we can say the magic word and go kick these guys’ asses. It was a pretty complicated message to communicate with eye movements and mumbling but he was pretty sure he was making himself clear. After all, it was the only obvious thing to do.
Billy stared at him blankly. After a long second or two, he made a noise that pretty unmistakeably communicated what the hell are you talking about?
Freddy groaned into his gag. Yeah, he thought. This might take a while.

Fic Summary: Eugene, apropos of nothing, tilts his head like he’s just remembered something and asks, “Hey Billy, how did things go with your mom?”
Everyone looks over at Billy, just in time to see him freeze and drop a full three feet in the air before he catches himself. For a few seconds, he just hovers there, looking like a cornered animal despite the open air all around.
And then Billy’s gone, whipping ‘round and flying away faster than Freddy’s ever seen him go. He’s there, and then he’s not, and it feels a little bit like he’s taken the lungs out of Freddy’s chest along with him.
(or, billy doesn't want to admit what happened with marilyn, but secrets don't stay secret for long.)

39. Share a WIP
(From your Ask Game 👀)
HI! I'm so glad that I have an excuse to share another snippet from my WIPs.
I had to think carefully about what to share (gotta avoid spoilers for the major plot points). Under the readmore is a snippet from Pretty Little Thing a few chapters ahead of where we are now.
Freddy watched Darla walk away, waiting until she disappeared through the front doors of the school before he hiked his backpack up higher and made his way off campus, keeping his head down so as not to be noticed by the throngs of people heading to school. He would have to be careful to not get caught ditching.
Despite what he’d said to Darla, he planned on telling his foster parents that his leg had been hurting and that he’d spent the day camped out in the boy’s bathroom, in too much pain to make it all the way to the nurse’s office. It was plausible enough that they would accept it—though he was sure they’d treat him overly gently over the next couple of days.
It was a long walk to Billy’s apartment—his leg already ached just thinking about it. But he knew he could handle a couple bad pain days with much more grace than he could the nagging feeling of not knowing what was actually going on.
That visit from the Daily Planet reporters had shaken him more than he wanted to admit. He had known that Billy was in trouble—but Billy was always in trouble, always one step away from throwing himself at every disaster. But usually he was the Captain when he did that, usually he was fine. He had superpowers and the entire Justice League on speed dial, there was nothing that he couldn’t handle.
But sometimes he did things as Billy that put him in danger, not really caring about the consequences. That’s what had Freddy worried.
So the question was whether Billy was in trouble because he was the Captain or because he was Billy.

Hiya!!
If you're still taking requests i was wondering if you could just do some cuddling headcannons/blurbs for freddy freeman?
If not thats not problem but thankyou!
-beautiful anon
Tumblr media
I’m also adding on another request cuz I felt like they’d work well hand in hand. So here’s two for the price of one. 🦦
Tumblr media
Freddy is defiantly a little spoon on the days where felt more in need of being within your arms because they made him feel safe, protected but above all; loved.
You hold him together when all he mind felt like fracturing or when he wanted to embrace being vulnerable before you because he trusted you an unhealthy amount and you have yet to give him a reason not to.
Freddy would sometimes tuck himself into your side, his head resting in the crook of neck and his arms are clinging to your waist.
But he’s also prone to using your stomach as a pillow, the best pillow ever, as he would claim, whilst his arms cage your legs together.
His other go to cuddle positions would included;
Sweethearts cradle
Loosely tethered
Honeymoon hug
And Spoon (obviously)
All of these positions can be interchangeable depending on who is the more need of affection then the other that day.
There’s days where’d he spoon you, more so when you had shitty days and would come up to him and say, ‘can you hold me until I feel better?’ His heart broke but would hold you firmly against his chest, reassuring you that he was there, that he wasn’t going anywhere. He likes being your protector, there’s no doubt about that.
Yet there are times where Freddy wants to be comforted. Whether it be from a bad dream, things going wrong throughout his day or his superhero antics took a turn for the worst. He’d lay on the bed and grasp your hands, caging them over his waist as you rested your head against his shoulder; whispering sweet nothings into his ear and stroking the sides of his waist comfortingly until he fell asleep.
He can be a little shit when he’s little spoon.
He doesn’t let you out of bed, no matter what your reasoning is, Freddy refused to let you go because he likes the feeling your warmth against him.
He would even go as far as to manoeuvre his way on top of you to make sure you stay.
‘Freddy I gotta piss.’ - you
‘Hold it, I ain’t done soaking in your love.’ - Freddy.
‘Freddy I’m serious.’ - you
‘So am I!’ - Freddy.

New fic!
It’s been really long since I’ve written a fic, and honestly it’s not like I don’t have any ideas, lord knows I have so many files with story ideas, but every time I typed something, there was just no motivation to continue :/
Nevertheless, I finally managed to write a short fic for Shazam 2! Me being me, it’s obviously angsty :)))
Contains spoilers for the movie of course!

i finished reading Power of Shazam! and i have some thoughts that i wanted to share. buckle up
firstly, i am so tired of "billy joins the batfam" stories, especially because 99% of the time the bats are reduced to fanon tropes with personalities that they don't actually have in canon. not to mention, mary is never included in these stories. it would be one thing if this was New 52 billy, who is only mary's foster brother, but the majority of what ive seen takes inspiration from the idea of billy being a homeless kid in fawcett
so why are we throwing billy in with people who live halfway across the country, when the bromfields are right there?
Tumblr media
if you're going to write a fanfic where billy (and, hopefully, mary) joins another established superhero family, why not have him be taken in by superman? though they argue a lot in canon, their morals, abilities, and worldview are much more similar. they admire each other!
Tumblr media
additionally, a lot of the time other members of the marvel family are completely ignored. freddy freeman only ever appears to be a romantic interest for billy or mary, tawky tawny shows up in some fics for a moment or so, but dudley and ibis the invincible are nowhere to be found. even black adam, doctor sivana, and mr. mind are underutilized!
Power of Shazam! is such a heartfelt story, when you look at the bigger picture. it's about a boy who's had to look out for himself for so long learning to trust family again. it's about him sharing the burdens of the responsibilities he has, and also sharing the guilt. billy feels so much guilt all the time, and it's absolutely gut-wrenching at points. there's an issue where fairfield, the twins' home town, is nuked to get back at them. and billy just has a breakdown
Tumblr media
i have my criticisms on how New 52 handles billy as a character, but him having anger at the world is not out of character. billy is a very, very angry boy— why wouldn't he be? his entire life was taken away from him, his trust was betrayed again and again, the people around him think him to be incompetent
but he still finds joy in life. he's silly, he's funny, he always sees the bright side to things. and this run does a phenomenal job of demonstrating just how complex he really is
there's also the problem of mary and freddy acting subservient to billy. throughout this series, mary is explicitly referred to as captain marvel several times. she's captain marvel as much as billy is. and much of freddy's arc within this series revolves around him outgrowing the "junior" tagline and becoming captain marvel 3. they're not just a team, they're a family
Tumblr media
they protect and look out for each other. this is what i want to see more of! i have fun with fics or headcanons where billy gets looked after by another hero, but if that's the only way you interact with his media, it's a disservice to his character and the characters of his family
read Power of Shazam! look into these characters. and please stop reducing these complex and dynamic characters to tropes

I come to you with another WIP fic idea for our favorite Billy Batson
So. Y'all know Billy Batson, adorable, Sassy, homeless, secret champion of magic who can transform into an adult at any time. Respected member of the Justice League. Right? Think of him as a ten year old, been Captain Marvel for almost two years, is on top of his game! Well, he was, until a fight against Oggar, the wizard’s former disciple/apprentice rendered him without his divine magical powers, forcing him to transform back into his mortal form as Billy Batson--right in front of the Justice League! Oh no--
Thus, chaos ensued. Whilst Oggar disappeared from the battle with a cackling laughter, Billy struggled to transform back into Captain Marvel, feeling powerless and so vulnerable against the wide eyes of his co-workers who were feeling a mixed range of emotions from the reveal. Surprise. Anger. Betrayal. Silence. No one said anything for a clear minute. A full long minute where the only sounds came from Billy shouting the name of Shazam into the heavens and hells to conjure up any spark of magic he could muster. Billy's voice grew hoarse and rough, dry to the point he was losing his breath fast from how hard he was breathing, losing control of himself under all the stress. Finally, a hand is placed on his shoulder.
Batman's hand.
An emergency meeting is held back at the watch tower immediately. Not only is the subject of Oggar brought up and what he has planned, but primarily, Captain Marvel's true identity as Billy Batson. A ten year old who managed to infiltrate the ranks of the Justice League without anyone knowing.
Well. Batman knew. Of course Batman knew, he's BATMAN! But everyone else...Billy couldn't forget what they were yelling to him even if he tried.
"Irresponsible!"
"Idiotic!"
"Liar!"
"You betrayed our trust."
"Do you know how much danger you put yourself in, young man?!"
"Do you realize you could have died?! What were you thinking trying to play hero?"
Everything everyone said had stuck with him so harshly, Billy had to hold himself back from the river of tears threatening to come rolling down his face. He had a long day, a long, horrible fight against someone from the wizard's personal past, lost his powers, and now he was being interrogated by the Justice League. By his heroes.
Needless to say, the meeting ran on for much longer. They knew everything now, and Billy's status as a JL member was immediately put into suspension for the time being.
When the meeting was over, Billy didn't know what to do anymore. He couldn't summon his form as the Champion of Magic anymore, his identity was shown to his idols without his permission, but also, Oggar got away. Oggar, the Wizard's own former apprentice, had continued to betray the man even after his death. Oh, he'd pay for this.
A month had passed and Captain Marvel was still absent, forcing Fawcett City to endure countless attacks and hits by super villains without Billy being able to protect it. Luckily and fortunately, the JL would step in to help protect Faecett city in the meantime, while Billy tried to figure out how to gain back his powers. He was able to get into the RoE thanks to Tawky Tawny, but the wizard's ghost was gone. With little to no help, Billy was looking more glum than ever before.
Still, with Halloween coming up, Billy's classmate and friend, Cissie Sommerly, tried to help cheer him up with a Halloween trick of treating date. Something nice for the two of them to enjoy while the chaos of everything was put in the background for a little while. Billy agreed, thinking it would be nice to clear his head for one night, and to enjoy some free candy!
However, before Halloween night, Billy uncovers a plot by Oggar accidentally, discovering that Oggar plans to use the concentrated dark magic of Halloween night to make himself the new wizard of the realm, plunging the world into eternal damnation and a new era of darkness.
Clutching his fists, Billy Batson knows what he has to do. At first he thinks of calling the Justice League, but thinking about it more, he knows they'd never let him help with how he is now. "You're just Billy Batson now. You're nothing without the powers of Captain Marvel...if he was ever real at all..."
Remembering this, Billy tucks his JL communicator away, and forms a plan. A Halloween heist for the ages to steal back his powers and enforce justice onto an old man too crusty dusty for this world.
With the help of Tawny, Cissie, Freddy, and Steve the magic pen, Billy will earn his spot back as a member of the Justice League by the end of Halloween night, proving that Billy Batson has always been a hero, and that he doesn't need powers to be Captain Marvel.
Join Billy in,
"Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader?"
A fic I'm currently working on right now (among a mountain of others, haha) Tell me what y'all think of this idea!
