Canonical Batfamily Birthdays

Here are all the birthdates I know of that are canon somewhere in DC, with a preference for the main comics continuities. I have included exact sources and image references when possible. I am not including character introduction dates, just actual birthdays.

If you find any other sources for Batfamily birthdays, please do share!

A moment of silence for Batfamily characters who don’t have canonical birthdays yet, so far as I know. This includes Damian Wayne, Stephanie Brown, Duke Thomas, and more. :(

Summary

Source images will be further down, but here’s an overview in roughly age order (I’m not sure of Kate vs Selina’s ages) with the dates the birthdays were introduced and used:

Tim Drake: July 19th (from 2003)

Jason Todd: August 16th (from 2004)

Cassandra Cain: January 26th (from 2002)

Helena Bertinelli: February 14th (in the Batman: The Brave and the Bold universe, from 2010)

Helena Wayne: September 7th (from 1984), potentially October 20th or the 22nd of unknown month or maybe October 22 or maybe Feb 28th (all the New 52 on passports from 2011-2012). These could also be New 52 Helena Bertinelli’s birthdays or nobody’s birthdays. who even knows.

Note: in this post when I say “main comics continuity(s)/universe” I’m referring to anything that’s been a “home” continuity for the comics at some point. For example, pre-Crisis Earth-2, Earth-1/New Earth, and Earth-0/Prime Earth, as opposed to Elseworlds or DCEU earths that are still part of the broader DC multiverse but have never been the primary continuity of the comics.

Tim Drake

Tim has only been given one canon birthday. He turned 16 on July 19th in Robin Vol. 2 #116 (cover date Sep 2003).

Jason Todd

Jason turned 18 on August 16th in Detective Comics #790 (March 2004). This is his only canon birthday.

In post-Crisis/preboot (1986-2011) continuity, there was a gap of six months between when Jason died and when he was resurrected (Batman Annual 25). Jason died April 27th according to his death certificates in Batman Annual 25 and Batman Files 2011, so he would’ve resurrected near late October.

So, it could be that post-resurrection Jason is biologically 6 months younger than he chronologically should be. But honestly, do we even really know what multiverse-breaking resurrection punches and then a Lazarus Pit on top of that do to someone’s body??? Either way it’s just much more simple to just use his chronological age.

Cassandra Cain

Much like Tim and Jason, Cass has only ever been given one birthdate: January 26th from Batgirl Vol. 1 #33. With that birthday, she turned 18 in Batgirl Vol. 1 #37.

When Jan 26th actually comes, Bruce suggests David Cain could’ve lied about it, but Cass denies that idea and continues to treat the day as her birthday.

Why it's likely her real birthday: Bruce initially believes Cain must’ve lied because he doesn’t think Cain could’ve known her birthday. However, we later learn Cain had lied about her origins and was actually her biological father. Batgirl v1 #62 and #73 show he was there for her birth and could absolutely know the date.

On top of that, in Batgirl #37 Cass remembers celebrating her birthday with him as a child, so he did seem to actually keep track of it. I honestly don’t see any reason to believe he’d lie (Bruce is just a jealous spoilsport).

Helena Bertinelli + Wayne

I’m combining them here because the New 52 gives me a headache.

Helena Bertinelli celebrated her birthday on February 14th in a spin-off comic from the animated Batman: The Brave and the Bold series. This is obviously not part of regular comics continuity and the characters differ from the usual comics in many ways. And yet, for reasons that will soon be clear, it’s my favorite for actually being about Helena Bertinelli the Huntress and for not being an utter mess.

Batman: The Brave and the Bold #14 (Apr 2010)

In a character profile at the end of Infinity Inc. #7 (Oct 1984), Helena Wayne’s birthday was September 7th, 1959. Calculating back from October 1984, that would make her 25 at the time.

During the New 52, Helena Bertinelli was initially portrayed as a long-dead (secretly alive but don’t worry about it) mobster’s daughter and replaced by Earth-2’s Helena Wayne who got stranded on Prime Earth. This H. Wayne stole H. Bertinelli’s identity in the form of several forged passports and IDs, which had hints toward birthdates. The question is, can we take any of those birthdates seriously, and if so, which birthdates and for which character? (Cue my headache.)

Skip ahead to Dick if overthinking fake passports sounds boring.

When comparing to a real Italian passport, the date on H. Wayne’s fake Italian passport appears to be a birthdate. Note that the fake name is Carol Bertinelli, not Helena. H. Wayne said her IDs were inspired by H. Bertinelli but clearly she’s taking liberties for the IDs so that’s a point toward these being useless for H. Bertinelli birthdays.

Huntress Vol. 3 #1 (Dec 2011)

I don’t recognize the month abbreviation as a real abbreviation, but from the visible letter O I’m going to assume it means October. If it is, then the date is 20 October 1985. Sidenote: a 1985 birthdate during 2011 could put her age at about 26, which is actually quite close to how old she could’ve been based on pre-Flashpoint! 1985 has been given as Helena Wayne’s death year before, so it’s an interesting choice of a birth year for her. (Thanks to DC’s sliding timescale, though, birth years don’t actually mean anything in the comics.)

They don’t show her complete US passport, but I can see a “22” in line where the day of the month should be for her birthdate. This already contradicts the previous passport. This one uses Helena Bertinelli’s actual name, though–does that make it more relevant than the Carol one or this all still ridiculous because of the discrepancies?

Worlds’ Finest Vol. 1 #1 (Jul 2012)

We can try to glean the US passport birth month from the passport number at the bottom. The first two digits (“12” here) indicate the agency that issued the passport. 12 means the Honolulu agency. Right after “USA” is supposed to be the birthdate plus an extra number, in the order of year/month/day with the year being the last two digits of a year. Here we encounter another problem. It says 810228. This would imply her birthdate is 1981/02/28. That’s February 28, 1981. Since the earlier line indicated her birthday fell on a 22nd, this already contradicts itself.

However, I’d bet comic writers and artists aren’t always well versed in passport numbers (it’s already a stretch for me to bother checking it…). If they put the extra digit before the birthdate instead after, and the date is formatted month/day/year (the most common format in American English, so probably their first instinct), then we can drop the first 8 and it’s 10/22/8[?] with the last digit unknown. This would put her birthday as October 22, sometime in the 1980s. The 22 matches the earlier line, the October might match the previous passport if that really did say October (but contradicts the 20th), and the 1980s year could be 1985 to match the Italian passport.

At the end of the day I’m personally just going to let Helena Bertinelli be a Valentine’s born baby and call it a day, unless/until she gets a better one in the comics. For Helena Wayne I’d easily pick September 7th.

(My question is: did they give the crossbow vigilante a Valentine’s birthday as a Cupid joke??)

Dick Grayson

Dick has probably had the most birthdays of everyone (unless Bruce has more I don’t know about). All of them have their drawbacks.

In a main comics continuity, his most popular and most recent is “the first day of spring” so probably March 20th. This comes from Robin Annual 4 when his mom says she calls him Robin because he was born on the first day of spring. That presents some problems since there are other explanations given for the origin of “Robin,” including that his mom said he was “always bobbin’ along” (Dark Victory #12, page 17) or the original inspiration of Robin Hood (Detective Comics #38, p3).

Before that, in Secret Origins Vol. 2 #50 (Aug 1990), Marv Wolfman wrote a version of Dick’s origins where Dick turned 10 a week before his parents died on Halloween. That would make his birthday October ~24th (presuming that “a week” before Halloween literally means 7 days here).

The first drawback of the October birthday is that it’s tied to Dick being 10 when his parents die on Halloween. Dick’s age and the date his parents die change a lot depending on the writer (Nightwing Vol. 1 #1 says his parents died June 27th, Dark Victory #8-9 says May, etc.). The second drawback is that few people remember this version of his birthday even exists.

Dick’s birthday is November 11th in Super DC Calendar 1976. Note: Despite being a non-diegetic calendar from almost 50 years ago, this source remains well known and used among comic enthusiasts (including those working at DC). Generally, I would say it should mainly apply just to pre-Crisis continuity, but it is also useful for characters that haven’t gotten updated birthdays ever since (like Roy Harper, Barbara Gordon, or Selina Kyle, for example).

Sidenote: Since Damian doesn’t have a canon birthday, November 11th is favorite to steal for my own fan canon Damian birthday. Dick has plenty birthdays to share and I think it’s cute. @ DC, give Damian and Steph birthdays, they’ve been birthday-less for decades!

Indeed, DC writer Tim Sheridan and editor Mike Cotton debated whether Dick’s birthday was in March or November. They favored March 20th and wrote a birthday scene in Teen Titans Academy #1 (published March 23rd, 2021). The publishing time near Dick’s birthday was intentional, though the date isn’t mentioned within the comic itself.

The above birthdays were all meant to apply to a main comics continuity at some point. However, Earth-16, better known as the animated Young Justice universe (therefore outside of main comics continuity), says YJ Dick’s birthday is December 1st.

Unlike Helena Bertinelli, Dick has plenty of comics birthdays to choose from, so personally I’ll only count Dec 1st as being the birthday for YJ animated/Earth-16 Dick Grayson until or unless it’s ever mentioned to apply to main comics continuity.

Barbara Gordon

Super DC Calendar 1976 says Barbara’s birthday is September 23rd.

Since then, the only time I recall her birthdate hinted at is in Secret Origins #20 when her adoptive mom says her birthday is in the fall. This could support her birthday being September 23rd.

Although she has celebrated her birthday on panel since then (the end of Nightwing Vol. 2 #153), she hasn’t been given any other actual birthdate. So I’ll keep September 23rd and call it a day.

Selina Kyle

Super DC Calendar 1976 says Selina’s birthday is March 14th. Once again, although it hasn’t been mentioned within a comic, it’s stuck around in popular consciousness (see: Catwoman actress Zoë Kravitz wishing Selina a happy birthday on March 14th).

Selina celebrated a birthday on panel in Catwoman (2002) #37 but the date was never mentioned. I don’t know of any other reference to her birthday, but my reading of Selina is thus far more sparse than my reading of the others.

Kate Kane

Kate’s birthday options all come from outside of the comics themselves.

In “An Un-Birthday Present,” season 1 episode 11 of Batwoman, a parallel version of her twin Beth had a driver’s license showing her date of birth as January 26, 1990. She and Kate later celebrated their birthdays on an episode aired Jan 26th, 2020. I don’t keep up with live action DC shows so I unfortunately can’t offer a screenshot (if anyone has one or the timestamp, please let me know!).

(I kinda wonder if somebody looked up Batwoman’s birthday for these episodes, saw Batgirl’s (Cass’s) birthday, and just ran with it. Batwoman and a Batgirl sharing a birthday is just. Ughhh.)

In 2012, one of her comic writers tweeted to choose a random date for her birthday and picked March 21st, which so far as I know has never been used as her birthday in comics.

Bruce Wayne

Bruce’s most popular birthday is February 19th, but his most recent one is October 7th from the digital-only comic Legends of the Dark Knight. I believe that’s the only time October 7th has been referenced, but I’ve heard the animated show The Batman said his birthday was in October (can’t confirm, haven’t watched it recently).

Still, even associates of DC seem to remember his February 19th birthday better. In February 2023, Warner Bro’s Gotham Knights game did a sale for Bruce’s birthday. I’ve also heard the birthday was used in the Gotham TV show, but again, I don’t watch much live action DC shows.

The February 19th birthday appears to come from the 70s and 80s. It’s his birthday in the Super DC Calendar 1976, and in Batman Family Vol. 1 #11: “Suprise, Suprise!” (May 1977). Bob Rozakis (known as DC’s “Answer Man”) said Feb 19th was Bruce’s birthday in the letter column of Detective Comics #494 (Sep 1980).

Batman Family Vol. 1 #11: “Suprise, Suprise!” (Jun 1977)

Super DC Calendar 1976

Way back in the 40s, his birthday was in April, possibly April 7th. During a birthstone murder mystery, Bruce says his birthstone is a diamond, which is traditionally the April birthstone.

World’s Finest Comics #33/6 (Mar-Apr 1948): “The 5 Jewels of Doom!”

Star Spangled Comics #91 (Apr 1949) might imply the exact date was April 7th but we’d have to assume the party is on his birthday and that “this month” refers to the publishing month of April. I believe this is where people get the April 7th birthday when they bring it up.

Early April also shines in Batman: Year One where it shows Bruce’s first night out as Batman being either the night of April 6th or the early morning of April 7th (Batman #405). So although the April Bruce birthday hasn’t been used in decades, it’s still a Batman birthday in a way.

I have also heard people say Frank Miller considered Bruce’s birthday to be in November. However, I have yet to find an original source of him saying that, and honestly (just like the “March 21st” birthday for Kate) if he never used it in any canon material I don’t put much weight in that.

Jim Gordon

The only birthday I’ve ever seen for Jim is January 5th from Super DC Calendar 1976.

Alfred’s birthday in Super DC Calendar 1976 is April 8th.

In the Injustice: Gods Among Us universe (an alternate reality where the video game of the same name is set in), they show Alfred’s birth certificate, where it says his birthday is August 16th, 1943.

Maybe you’ll notice that August 16th is Jason’s birthday. A little funny considering the issue features Alfred refusing to share his birthday only for us to learn it’s the same date as Jason’s. Still, annoying. There are so many days in the year! Stop choosing the same ones!

This Alfred birthdate runs into a similar problem Helena’s birthdates did: it’s not part of main comics canon, it’s an alternate universe, so it may not be applicable to the main comics universe.

Note: if we calculate that 1943 birth year from Jun 2016 when the comic was published, that’d make Alfred 72 soon to be 73. Does that mean anything in canon? Probably not, but oh well. Also...token British character born by Windsor Castle? …of course.

Personally, I would rather go with the April 8th birthday than the Injustice one, since Injustice is an alternate universe. Also, outside of the humor of it, the idea of Alfred and Jason sharing a birthday is a bit too much for me. Still, it’s up to people’s own cherry picking.

Chronology

The birthdays in publishing order alongside notable reboots. A soft-reboot refers to reboots that only changed a few details with minor consequences, keeping the overall continuity mostly intact. A major reboot has significant effects on continuity (too many to list).

Because of the countless retconed on where Saint Seiya takes place i decided to Give each series their own time period, this could be from how Kuru and Other Authors can’t make up their mind about some numbers but whatever here’s my headcanon on what time does each series takes place.

Mangas

•Original Manga, Next Dimension (Present): January-April 1990

(Originally it was 1986 but because of Next Dimension saying that it’s set on the year 1990, the dates had changed. Nevertheless, all arcs like Sanctuary, Poseidon, Hades takes place in just a few months. Why I say this simple I calced the dates using Julian Solo’s birthday (March 21) as Reference and the dialogue that was said that it’s been a month since the 12 houses Battle and it was 10 days after the world wide flooding started in March 24. So doing this Math it would be in April 3. So the Sanctuary Battle took place in March 3)

•Episode G: Spring 1979

(In the first chapter said March 28, 1979, and in the original summary said it’s 7 years before the events of Classic but Okada used the old Date of 1986 as guideline)

• Next Dimension (Past): Spring 1750

(It says that it’s been 240 years instead of 243, so by that logic it’s in 1750 where the Holy War of the 18th Century takes place. Now why Spring? Simple the Holy War of the 20th Century took place in April, 1990.)

•The Lost Canvas: Spring 1747

(Since LC is said to be an alt version of the Holy War of the 18th century, you could say takes place around the same dates however in the epilogue it said 243 years, so LC’s Holy War is 3 years earlier than ND’s Holy War)

•Saintia Sho: December 1983-March 1984

(Ok I know it’s said that Saintia Sho takes place around the Sanctuary Arc and Before the Poseidon Arc. However there are some issues like Baby Shoko and Kyoko escaping with Mayura during Aiolos escape (Which I said in a previous post took place on September 12-13) and their Birthdays are on December 10, so Shoko is 9 months older than Saori and Kyoko 2 years and 9 months and they were 13 and 15 respectively at beginning of the Story. And why 1984 instead of 1990 or even 1986? In Saintia Shoko memories the invitation of the Galaxian Wars said the date 1984, now this could be a mistake of Kuori, but till it’s changed. Saintia Sho takes place in the early 80s)

(It’s said in an interview that GA takes place post 2012 as the Tokyo Tower has been built and Smartphones are a thing so it should be set in 2013 at the very least)

Assuming that Ryuho Bd is in libra like his dad, would mean he was born in October 1989. so he would be 12 in April 2002. As we are confirmed that Koga entered to pallestra post Spring Break. my notes: i was looking into the schedule bc i was telling my assoc friend that we are overdue on reruns and wanted to double check i had my facts straight. i have conclusions bc i take this mobile game more seriously than my actual studies.

its been over a year since MoVo debut and we havent had a rerun. the only other hells that took over a year to get first rerun were 4M (2019Nov-2021Feb) and SoS (2020Jul-2021Aug). its been longer than both for MoVo (2021Jan and counting). MoVo reran in 2022Nov, putting it at almost two years to rerun.

its been almost a year and a half over two years since first rerun of SoS. this is similar to TP (2019Sep-2021Mar) and BM (2020Jul-2022Mar). it hasn't crossed either yet. its crossed both. update: ToL, which debuted two months after SoS, had its second rerun before SoS. SoS finally reran in 2023Sept.

TR and Ark had no hell reruns between them. this hasnt happened since SoS and ToL in 2020, where the schedule was (i think) fucked up by all the collabs they were doing, on top of bringing ToL exactly on anniversary date. update: this repeated with RS and CD.

endnote from the original making of this post: make of all that what u will. or dont. personally the next few months schedule will decide for me if theyre really being stingy with hell reruns, since we have had BM recently and will hopefully be back on track. hopefully. update: as of mid 2023, the schedule seems to be recovering, with one rerun between every two debut hells.

"Four amazing astronomical discoveries from ancient Greece

The Histories by Herodotus (484BC to 425BC) offers a remarkable window into the world as it was known to the ancient Greeks in the mid fifth century BC. Almost as interesting as what they knew, however, is what they did not know. This sets the baseline for the remarkable advances in their understanding over the next few centuries – simply relying on what they could observe with their own eyes.

Herodotus claimed that Africa was surrounded almost entirely by sea. How did he know this? He recounts the story of Phoenician sailors who were dispatched by King Neco II of Egypt (about 600BC), to sail around continental Africa, in a clockwise fashion, starting in the Red Sea. This story, if true, recounts the earliest known circumnavigation of Africa, but also contains an interesting insight into the astronomical knowledge of the ancient world.

The voyage took several years. Having rounded the southern tip of Africa, and following a westerly course, the sailors observed the Sun as being on their right hand side, above the northern horizon. This observation simply did not make sense at the time because they didn’t yet know that the Earth has a spherical shape, and that there is a southern hemisphere.

1. The planets orbit the Sun

A few centuries later, there had been a lot of progress. Aristarchus of Samos (310BC to 230BC) argued that the Sun was the “central fire” of the cosmos and he placed all of the then known planets in their correct order of distance around it. This is the earliest known heliocentric theory of the solar system.

Unfortunately, the original text in which he makes this argument has been lost to history, so we cannot know for certain how he worked it out. Aristarchus knew the Sun was much bigger than the Earth or the Moon, and he may have surmised that it should therefore have the central position in the solar system.

Nevertheless it is a jawdropping finding, especially when you consider that it wasn’t rediscovered until the 16th century, by Nicolaus Copernicus, who even acknowledged Aristarchus during the development of his own work.

2. The size of the Moon

One of Aristarchus’ books that did survive is about the sizes and distances of the Sun and Moon. In this remarkable treatise, Aristarchus laid out the earliest known attempted calculations of the relative sizes and distances to the Sun and Moon.

It had long been observed that the Sun and Moon appeared to be of the same apparent size in the sky, and that the Sun was further away. They realised this from solar eclipses, caused by the Moon passing in front of the Sun at a certain distance from Earth.

Also, at the instant when the Moon is at first or third quarter, Aristarchus reasoned that the Sun, Earth, and Moon would form a right-angled triangle.

As Pythagoras had determined how the lengths of triangle’s sides were related a couple of centuries earlier, Aristarchus used the triangle to estimate that the distance to the Sun was between 18 and 20 times the distance to the Moon. He also estimated that the size of the Moon was approximately one-third that of Earth, based on careful timing of lunar eclipses.

While his estimated distance to the Sun was too low (the actual ratio is 390), on account of the lack of telescopic precision available at the time, the value for the ratio of the size of the Earth to the Moon is surprisingly accurate (the Moon has a diameter 0.27 times that of Earth).

Today, we know the size and distance to the moon accurately by a variety of means, including precise telescopes, radar observations and laser reflectors left on the surface by Apollo astronauts.

3. The Earth’s circumference

Eratosthenes (276BC to 195 BC) was chief librarian at the Great Library of Alexandria, and a keen experimentalist. Among his many achievements was the earliest known calculation of the circumference of the Earth. Pythagoras is generally regarded as the earliest proponent of a spherical Earth, although apparently not its size. Eratosthenes’ famous and yet simple method relied on measuring the different lengths of shadows cast by poles stuck vertically into the ground, at midday on the summer solstice, at different latitudes.

The Sun is sufficiently far away that, wherever its rays arrive at Earth, they are effectively parallel, as had previously been shown by Aristarchus. So the difference in the shadows demonstrated how much the Earth’s surface curved. Eratosthenes used this to estimate the Earth’s circumference as approximately 40,000km. This is within a couple of percent of the actual value, as established by modern geodesy (the science of the Earth’s shape).

Later, another scientist called Posidonius (135BC to 51BC) used a slightly different method and arrived at almost exactly the same answer. Posidonius lived on the island of Rhodes for much of his life. There he observed the bright star Canopus would lie very close to the horizon. However, when in Alexandria, in Egypt, he noted Canopus would ascend to some 7.5 degrees above the horizon.

Given that 7.5 degrees is 1/48th of a circle, he multiplied the distance from Rhodes to Alexandria by 48, and arrived at a value also of approximately 40,000km.

4. The first astronomical calculator

The world’s oldest surviving mechanical calculator is the Antikythera Mechanism. The amazing device was discovered in an ancient shipwreck off the Greek island of Antikythera in 1900.

The device is now fragmented by the passage of time, but when intact it would have appeared as a box housing dozens of finely machined bronze gear wheels. When manually rotated by a handle, the gears span dials on the exterior showing the phases of the Moon, the timing of lunar eclipses, and the positions of the five planets then known (Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn) at different times of the year. This even accounted for their retrograde motion – an illusionary change in the movement of planets through the sky.

We don’t know who built it, but it dates to some time between the 3rd and 1st centuries BC, and may even have been the work of Archimedes. Gearing technology with the sophistication of the Antikythera mechanism was not seen again for a thousand years.

CubeBit Review: Crypto Ponzi pyramid “ecosystem”

CubeBit doesn’t provide any information about who owns or runs the company on its website.

On October 2nd a video titled “Cubebit Interview with the CEO” was uploaded to CubeBit’s official YouTube channel.

The video features an interview with CubeBit’s “newly appointed” CEO, Konstantin Janke.

Janke works for Big Eye News. Big Eye News is part of Big Eye Media, a production company that claims it’s “dedicated to providing high quality and informative content.”

Big Eye Media is part of Big Eye Agency, “an audience-focused, creative-driven, full-service advertising agency”.

A Big Eye promo precedes Janke’s CubeBit CEO video interview, so it seems part of their offering is producing fake CEO videos.

Janke appears to have been hired to play CEO following the appointment of CubeBit’s original CEO, a Fivver gig:

Interviewing Janke is CubeBit’s Master Global Ambassador, Romel Gumiran.

Gumiran is an actual person. In addition to Master Global Ambassador Gumiran is also the sole officer of CubeBit Business Solutions, a UK shell company incorporated in May.

As per the shell incorporation, Gumiran is Filipino but resides in Norway (this might explain the Janke actor’s accent). On Facebook however Gumiran’s recent posts feature photos shot in Dubai.

CubeBit’s official Facebook page is managed from Albania (this might also explain the Janke actor’s accent), Brazil and the Philippines.

On his LinkedIn profile, Gumiran pitches himself as

a system consultant at Nexus chain, specializing in developing Token, Cryptocurrency coin, Trading platform for Cryptocurrency and MLM software for MLM startup Company.

Pending any further information coming to light, it appears CubeBit is run by Romel Gumiran. Whether he’s working alone or with others is unclear.

Update 19th March 2021 – Konstantin Janke has been in contact to advise ‘I’m not part of cubebit 2.0 since February 2021′. /end update

CubeBit’s website domain (“cubebit.io”) was first registered in 2018. The private registration was last updated on April 16th, 2020.

Through the Wayback Machine it appears CubeBit’s current website didn’t go live until after the April update. This suggests CubeBit’s owner(s) acquired the domain in April, 2020.

Alexa currently ranks Pakistan as the only significant source of traffic to CubeBit’s website (92%).

As always, if an MLM company is not openly upfront about who is running or owns it, think long and hard about joining and/or handing over any money.

CubeBit’s Products

CubeBit has no retailable products or services, with affiliates only able to market CubeBit affiliate membership itself.

CubeBit’s Compensation Plan

CubeBit’s compensation plan can be broken up into CubeBit recruitment commissions and various other side schemes.

Recruitment commissions are tied to recruitment of either Lite or Elite CubeBit affiliates.

CubeBit Direct Recruitment Commissions

CubeBit pays a commission on recruitment of affiliates.

A €5 EUR commission is paid on recruitment of Lite affiliates. €30 EUR is paid on recruitment of Elite affiliates.

CubeBit Residual Commissions (binary)

A binary compensation structure places an affiliate at the top of a binary team, split into two sides (left and right):

The first level of the binary team houses two positions. The second level of the binary team is generated by splitting these first two positions into another two positions each (4 positions).

Conclusion

Reading between the lines, CubeBit is an in-house use-case for Romel Gumiran’s flopped Nexus Chain venture.

As per Nexus Chain’s website (“nexuschain.net”), the company provides “offshore company registration” and “premium MLM solution(s)”. Basically your typical “scam in a box” outfit.

Nexus Chain currently has an Alexa website ranking of over 4 million, which for an active business is as good as dead.

And so we have CubeBit Tech. As stated in the introduction of this review, whether Gumiran is working alone or with others from NexusChain is unclear.

What is clear is every aspect of CubeBit, with respect to their MLM opportunity, is fraudulent.

CubeBit itself is a simple pyramid scheme. You sign up, pay a fee and earn commissions when others are recruited who do the same.

Being a pyramid scheme, CubeBit affiliates are openly encouraged to open multiple accounts:

This would of course make no sense in a legitimate business.

Ad Cube is a pyramid scheme within a pyramid scheme. CubeBot is your typical “trading bot” Ponzi scheme.

The algorithms employed in CubeBot are based on driven stake method where we employed tedious testing to identify the most profitable cryptocurrency trading options through automation.

That’s literally all there is to CubeBit as an MLM company.

Outside of MLM CubeBit houses the following components:

Cube Shop – ecommerce platform

Cube Academy – “diverse online courses”

Cube Lab – no information provided

Cube Chat – no information provided

Cube Ride – no information provided

Cube Play – unlicensed gambling platform (illegal)

Cubex – internal exchange

I didn’t bother going into detail for any of the above as they have nothing to do with CubeBit’s MLM offering.

CPay and Cubex appear to be how withdrawals are processed, and that brings us to CubeCoin.

Presently CubeBit markets with euro amounts for both funds in and out. Within CubeBit is “CubeCoin” (CUB), an worthless ERC-20 shit token generated on demand at little to no cost.

Such to the extent that CubeBit are currently paying with EUR, cryptocurrency or any other form of non-CUB payment, expect that to change when withdrawals exceed funds entering CubeBit.

CubeCoin will be hyped up as being worth something, when in reality it’s just an exit-scam tool. The end-goal will be to dump CubeCoin on CubeBit investors, and exit quietly with what’s left of invested funds.

This exit scam has played out over and over again within the MLM crypto niche.

On the regulatory front pay attention to these individuals:

Despite offering securities to US residents through CubeBot, CubeBit is not registered with the SEC. Not withstanding pyramid schemes also being illegal as per the FTC Act.

Outside of the US CubeBit is just as illegal. The company isn’t registered to offer securities in any jurisdiction.

As with all MLM Ponzi schemes, once affiliate recruitment dies out so too will new investment.

This will starve CubeBit of ROI revenue, eventually prompting a collapse.

The math behind Ponzi schemes guarantees that when they collapse, the majority of participants lose money.

Hello everyone! I can't believe we've made it this far. One thousand followers. Honestly, I am at a loss for words. Thank you so much for helping me all this way, it means a lot to me, it really does. \

April 16th, 2020

This was the start of my blog, when I first created this account. Originally, I started writing for Haikyuu, Sally Face, Soul Eater, and Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid. By biggest fixation at that time was Haikyuu, but sadly, I didn't even have one follower at that time so I quickly fell out of all of those fandoms.

May 2020

Since I wasn't in any fandoms at the time, I turned into a mainly reblog account, with occasional rants and posts. That didn't last too long though, since I quickly discovered a game called; 'Obey Me! Shall We Date?' I fell in love with that game, any chance I had to play it, I would.

June 2020

Now that I had gotten back into writing, I started to experiment with what types of genres I was comfortable with. Shortly after, I found out that my profession was smut, but that wasn't stopping me from writing other things!

July 2020

This was when I started to post fics about Obey Me. I didn't realize how big the fandom was growing until I looked at one of my favorite blog's (at the time) follower count! I gained followers quicker and quicker by the day, this is when I peaked in my follower count. By the end of that month, I reached 200+ followers.

August 2020

I was still going strong in the Obey Me fandom, posting fics and random opinions/posts every day. The same thing happened to me, I peaked once more and gained a bigger audience! By now, my smut fics were the most popular, which wasn't surprising. But also, I had discovered another fandom that caught my eye, Twisted Wonderland.

September 2020

Now that I was exploring other fandoms, I was introduced to a whole 'nother world! I quickly took an interest in Twisted Wonderland as well, but I never posted about it. My main interest at the time was still Obey Me, so I was still active there.

October 2020

I officially stopped writing for Obey Me, and I had completely lost interest in it. Other than that, I was still figuring out how to write for certain Twisted Wonderland characters, which was fun to do.

November 2020

I created a thirst blog that month, and I peaked right away, which was honestly pretty expected. Along with that, the people on my thirst blog came over here! I managed to gain hundreds more followers here on my main.

December 2020

I tried to write for Obey Me again, it didn't work. Not much happened this month, but I did do a blog makeover!

Sorry, why do you support seungri? He's been accused of sex trafficking and rape. You're a girl too. I'm assuming. Just curious as to why you still support him.

Hello!

Could you please provide sources for the sex trafficking and rape allegations? I'm not finding any mention of sex trafficking (unless you mean prostitution?).

Right now, the charges against Seungri (which he is pleading not guilty for 8 of ths 9 charges) are mainly for gambling and prostitution as well as embezzling and fraud/business related things (I added the indictment list to the bottom of this ask!).

If he is found guilty of gambling or having used prostitutes, I will continue to support him as I believe that both crimes should be legal BUT he deserves prison time! It is illegal in Korea and therefore deserves punishment. But to me, they aren't morally unethical and so on a personal level, people who commit those crimes are not unworthy of my continued support.

Here's a brief breakdown of the crimes:

According to Korea Herald, "'The accused arranged sex services for investors and gambled with them to maintain business relationships with them,' the prosecutors said, adding that he also ran an unlicensed adult entertainment establishment for two years, embezzled company funds and habitually gambled."

To me, these are the sorts of crimes that one can bounce back from after serving their time.

However... none of these charges have landed yet! This is an ongoing case. As I said earlier, Seungri is denying most of these charges. Assuming presumption of innocence...

The presumption of innocence is a legal principle that every person accused of any crime is considered innocent until proven guilty. Under the presumption of innocence, the legal burden of proof is thus on the prosecution, which must present compelling evidence to the trier of fact.

Right now it is on the prosecution to PROVE him guilty. They are building their case right now so we have to wait and see what they present :)

There's also talk of confirmation bias! And that people were coerced into giving false testimonies. Many witnesses are even saying that Seungri was not apart of their original statements. This makes me worry about the integrity of the investigation as a whole.

According to Naver (KOR) and Business Mirror (ENG), "The substantial inconsistency with the Prosecution’s witness testimonies raises severe concerns about the nature of the investigation and the process that led to the indictment of retired K-pop star Seungri of BigBang. The trial has made it apparent that the Prosecution indicted Seungri solely based on false witness statements and no material evidence."

These articles were released on March 26th, 2021 and April 16th, 2021 respectively.

There's also the fact that the other participants of the rape and molka chatroom were arrested very quickly. If there's evidence of Seungri doing the same, why has this case been going on since 2019? This case is very much in the public eye and is a source of outrage (rightfully so given the close connection with the JJY chatrooms / Burning Sun scandal) so the police should be trying to wrap it up quickly... and yet they have no evidence of Seungri's involvement in the chatrooms. If they did, I believe they would have arrested him already just as they did JJY and Choi Jonghoon, both of whom were arrested in 2019.

There's not enough evidence and many of the detention warrants the police have issued have been thrown out by the courts due to insubstantial proof AND the fact that Seungri himself is being very cooperative. For example...

According to the Korea Times, "The court said it didn’t deem detention of Seungri to be necessary or justified after looking into his role and involvement in wrongdoings, and also considered his attitude toward the prosecution’s investigation. It is the second time the court has turned down law enforcement authorities’ bid to detain the 29-year-old. Top 10 Darkest HitTheTarget Attacks (2012-2020)

As promised yesterday, here are the Top 10 Darkest HitTheTarget Attacks in Stampy’s Lovely World ranked, according to me. The episodes are ranked based on how dire the situation got in the episode and how it correlates to 'dark’ topics such as trauma. Be warned that 1) these are my opinions only, 2) spoiler alert for the episodes listed, and 3) the list of HTT attacks considered in the making of the list is correct up to only 2020, so any attacks that occur in 2021 or beyond (i.e. any attacks after Episode 683, Darkness) will not be counted.

If you have read my many additions to the Lovely World TV Tropes pages (e.g. Fridge Horror, Nightmare Fuel, etc.), you might already know the reasoning behind some of these episodes making the list.

You can consider this post to be a part of my side project Lovely World Deconstructed, which involves looking at the series from a realistic perspective, much like deconstructing a trope on TV Tropes.

Honourable Mention #1: Episode 184 -- Clone Calamity (released 9th April 2014)

Y’all remember how there’s literally character death in the episode? In previous episodes, it’s established that Stampy Cat Clone is a character unto himself, even if he shares a similar personality with the original Stampy, and the Clone just... dies in the episode. To quote Stampy in the episode on his views about his clone dying, “I mean, I could always make a… another Stampy Cat Clone, but… I got quite attached to that Stampy Cat Clone.”

Also killed in the episode are Lee Bear Clone (even if he only appears in that episode) and about 6 HitTheTarget clones, which are just more tallies to the death count. Even after disabling the cloning machine in the episode, it’s clear that it’s still usable, as William Beaver cloned himself in Episode 359, Teleporter, but Stampy had never tried to clone himself again, even though he could, and was hesitant to use the cloning machine after the fiasco it created. It is very well implied from this that the events of Clone Calamity did have a lasting effect on him. Though the more directly, blatantly traumatic episodes only come later in the series, it’s pretty clear that the setting up for trauma has been building up for years before the ‘worst’ occurs.

Honourable Mention #2: Episode 500 -- Memories (released 25th March 2017)

I think Barnaby literally dying in the episode (especially since we’ve had almost 5 years to bond with that doggo) straight-up is the reason the episode gets an honourable mentions spot on this list. If Barnaby had died permanently, though, it would have made the official top 10 list instead of being just an honourable mention -- not that I want Barnaby to die, of course, who’d want him to die? (I mean, HTT and his stannies would, but they don’t count.)

10. Episode 386 -- Brain Wave (released 27th February 2016)

I mean... mind control. Isn’t that dark enough as it is? Also, I wrote a fanfiction years ago about how the mind control scenario could play out (it’s called Imperio and wasn’t really well-written, so I don’t recommend you to check it out), which might have influenced my views on the episode a bit. For anyone wondering, the way I wrote it is basically what happens in Saving the World but in a mind basis, so... yeah. See below for more details.

9. Episode 338 -- Hot Spot (released 16th September 2015)

Mixing Barnaby and lava is never a good idea, but literally burning Stampy’s house down? Especially parts that had been built as far back as Episode 6 (Gregory the Dog)? You see, that is why the episode makes the list. Also, it’s implied that Barnaby has kidnapping trauma and PTSD (yes, dogs can get PTSD) from the whole experience. Take from that what you will. 

8. Episode 418 -- I Can’t Win (released 15th June 2016)

The episode was literally named after how dire the situation got -- the dudes robbed the bank and stole all the diamonds and made enchanted diamond armour to the point that HTT was almost OP, to the point that the only thing that could intimidate him into backing off was a whole pack of 10 angry wolves chasing him away. Now, to figure out how HTT and Veeva Dash hacked the ender chest system... and to hope that HTT wouldn’t reuse that enchanted diamond armour again in a future attack.

7. Episode 355 -- Friends and Foes (released 14th November 2015)

The episode explicitly the impact of betrayal, which in itself hits hard enough for someone as trusting and friendly as Mr. Stampy Cat. What makes it worse is the Wither being spawned before he was prepared to fight it, and if that Wither situation got out of control and started destroying the Lovely World... it was mentioned just 4 episodes before this one that losing his home was one thing Stampy’s scared about, and the Wither getting out of control could have meant one of his worst nightmares coming true. The reason why this isn’t higher on the list is because 1) the Wither didn’t get that out of control and the destruction was mainly confined to the island where HTT’s fortress is located, 2) Stampy still had some resources to help him fight the Wither, and 3) William Beaver being there to help in the first place.

6. Episode 320 -- Sleepy Stampy (released 15th July 2015)

This episode initially appears to be an attack which isn’t so ‘dark’, but when you look closely, it’s far more sinister than most would think. First of all, HTT literally tried to kill Stampy -- “pull to eliminate prisoner”, anyone? Eliminate being used in this sense is usually a euphemism for killing, if anyone is wondering. But what put the episode on the list is the premise behind the attack -- a drugged cake. Like seriously, drugging people’s food and drinks? That’s a real world problem, y’all. And considering the things usually associated with drugging foods and drinks in real life, other than killing people... like I said on TV Tropes, I thank God every day that this series is G-rated. (Or judging by some of these attacks, the rating can probably go much higher than that at this rate. I’m too scared to think of the scenario where this isn’t G-rated -- if you know, you know.)

5. Episode 658 -- Mirror World (released 19th October 2019) 

As I mentioned above, one of Stampy’s fears is losing his home, and this damn near well came true in this episode. But unlike the Wither situation mentioned before, Stampy was completely out of control in this scenario. As I’d quote from my TV Tropes addition, had he reset his spawnpoint in the Mirror World by sleeping there (since he arrived there at night) or never got the idea to die to return home, he would have ended up living out one of his worst nightmares, since the Alternate Lovely World would ultimately never be the home that he built and made. On top of all that, the fact that you have to commit suicide to go home. Death is cheap in Minecraft because of respawning, but still! (Don’t go jumping off the local clock tower, kids, because unlike in Minecraft, you only have one life here on Earth.)

4. Episode 575 -- Polly-Bot (released 9th December 2017)

Polly was kidnapped in Episode 551, Parkour Race, and it took nearly 3 months of real-life time for this to be found out. 3 whole goddamn months... even the incident with Lee Bear (Episode 261, Christmas Rescue) only lasted about 2 weeks. And to be replaced by a robot as well... the fact that ‘Polly’ went with HTT and Veeva Dash in the episode before Stampy realized the Polly he had around him was an imposter... it’s triggering the Betrayal Card (from Veeva Dash) all over again, in-universe. On the flip side, to think that someone this close to you were actually replaced by a fake for literal months is paranoia fuel all by itself.

3. Episode 526 -- Saving the World (released 21st June 2017)

The premise behind the episode was literally HitTheTarget stealing Stampy’s voice to rant at him. Now, we see that in the episode, HTT’s voice appears to be deeper than Stampy’s, but in-universe... HitTheTarget was using Stampy’s voice to say things he didn’t want to say. Just... think about that for a second. No, I’m not okay with this. He was literally not in control of his own vocal cords. The Helpers would probably be able to perceive it as an OOC moment for their boss and connect the dots from there, but mama, come pick me up, I’m scared. Also, according to the episode, if Stampy killed HTT, he would lose his voice forever. The attack after this one has a very similar premise as well -- a hostage situation, and neither of them are pretty.

2. Episode 670 -- Hacked (released 31st October 2020)

Two big reasons:

1) The whole episode going meta about the series -- about the fact that everything takes place in a game. Veeva Dash being able to hack Stampy’s Minecraft account means she can break the in-universe fourth wall. Also, advice to Stamps if you’re reading this -- update your password. Please, for the love of cake, make a more secure password, because the password revealed in the episode is embarrassing as heck. I think I got second-hand embarrassment from watching that moment in the episode.

2) Here’s a direct quote from Stampy in the episode:

“How have [Hit The Target and Veeva Dash] made it so I can't do any of this— This is my world, I made this world, they should not be able to make it so I can't do anything, they've taken away all of my permissions. You don't think that they've... somehow... hacked into my world, or... got control of all of it in some way? Because if that's the case, then I have no chance in this world, because they can do anything: they can just keep kicking me from the game, or they could just keep taking away my permissions, they could... delete my entire Lovely World if they wanted to— but I don't think they're gonna do that, because Hit The Target doesn't want to get rid of my Lovely World, he wants to take control of it by using my dogs as a dog army, so hopefully he won't delete the whole world, but... if I can't get into the world, what difference does it make to me?”

Yeah... they were basically trying to make Stampy suffer from a fate worse than death. So... yikes. Big yikes.

Also, from this episode and onwards, Stampy started wearing extra armour when travelling around the SLW. His explanation is that the mobs were extra-vicious on Bedrock Edition, but considering the first episode of the series on Bedrock was #659 but he only started wearing the armour 11-12 episodes later, and it most certainly doesn’t take 2+ months to experience the brutality of the googlies on a different edition... I think the attack could have had something to do with it, especially from an in-universe perspective.

1. Episode 541-542 -- I Lost and Hero Helpers (released 12th & 16th August 2017)

I suppose that this would not be much of a surprise for y’all. There are four reasons behind this episodic arc being ranked #1:

i) If you can make a plan so convoluted that you can make your enemy surrender in what appears to be a light-hearted series, congratulations, sucker. You just broke the trope that ‘the good guy always wins’ that these kids’ series all seem to be about. Even if the surrender was ultimately temporary, I think the episode’s ending scared half the people in the comments section. It also prompted me to write a dark AU with scenarios inspired by this episode. (Please don’t look it up, it’s not very well-written.) Also, I keep thinking I should re-watch these two episodes but always chicken out because they scare me that much. (So does Saving the World, I’ll be honest with you, I keep hesitating to re-watch that one as well.)

ii) Hostage situation again, and one that is just as nasty as the last attack.

iii) There’s a lasting impact after this attack. Other than the HTT attacks recap episode -- which is non-canonical to the Lovely World series anyway -- Stampy seems visibly hesitant to talk about the events of the episode. In Episode 546, 3 Z’s, you can hear Stampy practically gritting his teeth when mentioning the attack, which made him seem uncomfortable talking about it; and in Episode 600, Town Tour, he had never rebuilt the helicopter since the attack and when visiting the helicopter pad during the tour, he just said that he crashed it and didn’t mention the foul play behind the crash at all. It’s almost as if... the attack actually left a lasting impact on him and he doesn’t want to talk about it at all. In other words, very heavily implied, if not outright confirmed trauma in Lovely World canon. Which is a show for mainly kids.

4) It’s so fricking intense, especially for Hero Helpers (the part 2), during the rescue mission.

The last three/four episodes on this list are the most difficult to rank, and I definitely changed some of the rankings from my first draft. This list is not to say that the other HTT attacks were not dark, it is just that I believe these episodes on this list made the biggest impact on how the series could be viewed and shows the extent of the 'dark’ potential behind this usually light-hearted show.
