Is Jason Todd known to be a Wonder Woman fan in canon?

Short answer: No.

1) Jason Todd and Diana (the original and most well-known Wonder Woman) haven't shown any particular favoritism or fondness for each other.

Their interactions (or even just acknowledgements) are very few and far between.

I've been reading through some of the Red Hood comics along with other DC heroes. Something I've been I've doing along the way is saving many panels and pages that are either just fucking gorgeous, clever, or have interesting conversations/musings. There are some incredible pages during the first arc of the 2016 run for example and I just really need to share and talk about it.

So ah...enjoy my ramblings about them.

Just to start...this.

I love how it evokes Pietà (link to art) and almost frames Hood as a savior or protector of Bizarro because of the overhead lighting and how Hood gently cradles Bizarro. BUT then the panel expands and in the puddle of teal trailing off into green beneath them is the familiar scene of Talia with Jason at the Lazarus pit. The reflection casts the current reality in a more sinister light, putting into question Jason's intentions at this moment. Everything about this panel is gorgeous. The pose, the lighting, the reflection! 10/10 I need a poster of this illustration.

considering that jason todd was the official owner of the iceberg lounge during this time, it's likely he acquired the lounge legally and thus can be inferred that he had to be declared legally alive to do so

which brings me to my point:

i've seen a lot of people writing/speculating the difficulties and limitations jason experiences bc he was declared legally dead after ethiopia, which is all well and good, and is fantastic fodder for angst

but i've been wondering if this was bc people are actively ignoring canon (valid) or simply didn't know that at one point* jason was publicly alive (also valid, bc following comics is a shitshow lol)

i'm also aware that red hood (NOT jason) was known as "dead" by others after task force z (even though he clearly didn't die). that said, in the little i've read of tj:tmwsl, it seems that 1) not everyone knows red hood is actually alive, and/or that 2) red hood died at all. again, if red hood is generally known to be alive after tfz, that's on me

Jason also appears in the Lego DC Super Villains games that i highly recommend as well especially because my girlfriend is a mega fan of it and i don't know much about Lego Batman 3:Beyond Gotham but please avoid the aformentioned original Rhato,Red Hood:Outlaws and the Gotham Knights game as they feature extremely problematic writing not limited to but including racialized misogyny and ableism and do disservice to Jason himself anyway so you wouldn't want to consume them to begin with if you want to like him.I have mixed feelings on the Arkham Knight and Injustice games series' but they are objectively fairly good so i wouldn't say no to giving them a shot to see if you like them

And for the finale we have Wayne Family Adventures-Definitely a good read but to be totally honest it does Duke DIRTY and it sucks so much of DC to have marketed as his series to not only not follow through at all and make it an ensemble cast instead but ALSO deprive him of his actual characterization and story to make him a demure weak black boy stereotype.I won't judge you at all for liking it if you decided to read it or have already but kindly keep this in mind and consider joining me and my mutuals in our rewrite of it to give our Signal of Hope and Chaos the writing he deserves or at least support us through likes and reblogs!Happy Jason readings and have a good day💕
