Summary: Would the TWST boys wake up to your alarm and how would they react to it?

Characters: All NRC students (-Ortho)

Warnings: none(?) (please correct me if I'm wrong)

A/N: I'm working on the Riddle SMAU, but it's taking longer than I expected. Enjoy these silly head cannons while you wait.

Riddle Rosehearts:

Yes and he’s grateful for it. His mother made him wake himself up. She didn’t allow him to get an alarm clock and just expected him to wake up, and that’s not exactly an easy thing to do. While he’s happy, he is used to waking up earlier than you. He probably gets up at 5:30- 6 am, I could never. He would either set up an alarm on his phone or ask if you could set one on your phone. If you set one for him on your phone, he would be grateful, but if you didn’t, he would understand. On the mornings where he wants to sleep in, he would turn off his alarm and let yours wake him up.

Trey Clover:

Yes. He would wake up to your alarm, but he doesn’t. Why? Because he has his own alarm. His alarm is set to the same time as yours because he’s not willing to get up at the crack of dawn. If you sleep through your alarm, he’ll wake you up with breakfast in bed. He’ll make sure he knows what you like for breakfast and he’ll make sure to make it perfect for you. He likes making breakfast for you so much that you may find your alarm has been silenced.

Cater Diamond:

Yes and it upsets him. He groans, flops himself on top of you and tells you to turn it off. If you do, he’ll nuzzle into you and fall back asleep. If you don’t he’ll climb over you and turn it off himself. If you want him to wake up, you’ll have to wake him up yourself. He has made a few magicam posts about your alarm. “Their alarm is the only thing I dislike about them.” -The first post Cater made when you first slept over. He tells you to turn the sound down or you’re never sleeping over again. The ideal volume is none. He’s asking you to delete it.

Ace Trappola:

It takes at least 3 alarms to wake him up and if you have that, he’ll be upset. He doesn’t like waking up and when he wakes up from an alarm? He’s not happy. He’ll reach over you and try to turn your alarm off while sleepily complaining. You can’t even understand what he’s saying because his words are all slurred and quiet. Once he’s fully awake, he’ll make complaints that you can understand.

Deuce Spade:

It takes 2 alarms to wake him and he’d be glad if you had that. He’s slept in more than he likes to admit so he’s very glad that your alarms wake him up. He’ll be a bit confused at first and ask you what that noise is. You’ll have to remind him to get out of bed or he’ll just sit there trying not to fall asleep again. He’s happy your alarms wake him up and he lets you know.

Leona Kingscholar:

It takes 5 alarms to wake him up and he hopes to the sevens you don’t have that much. If you do have that many alarms, he’ll be pissed. He’ll straight up tell you to delete it. He’ll make you delete it. If you don’t then he’ll send you back to your dorm. If you’re really adamant about waking up, he’ll get Ruggie to wake you up.

Ruggie Bucchi:

It helps him wake up. He’s used to waking up early to get him and his grandma breakfast so he naturally wakes up early. If your alarm is natural volume (not too loud, not too quiet) he’s glad that it helps him. If it’s loud, it’ll scare him. He grew up in a pretty cut-throat environment and he’s used to something trying to attack him. Please, turn your alarm down for him. If it helps you wake up, he’ll wake you up himself. Just please turn it down or turn it off. His poor heart can’t take it.

Jack Howl:

He wakes up earlier than you do. The first thing he does when he wakes up is go for a jog so he doesn’t hear your alarm. He doesn’t even know you have one. When he gets back after his jog and you’re still asleep, he’ll wake you up and offer to make you breakfast. It’s just bland cereal and milk though so if that’s not what you like, make your own.

Azul Ashengrotto:

He wakes up early. It’s what a good business person does. He’s very tired when he does though. He’s groggy and he’s trying to keep his eyes open. But, you see, he grew up in the Coral Sea. The Coral Sea is known to be a very dangerous place. Jade has said that it’s very cut-throat, so Azul has gotten attacked (probably) more than once. He hears your alarm and is sent into a full blown panic. He’s fully awake now. He shakes you awake and tells you that something’s attacking. You have to turn off your alarm and explain it to him. He eventually gets used to it. Remember to be patient with him when he wakes you up the moment your alarm goes off.

Jade Leech:

Jade has his own alarm. He wakes up really early but is still groggy. He’s thankful to have your alarm wake him up as well. He would wake up from his alarm and just kinda sit up in bed and stare at the wall, and then your alarm goes off and he finally gets out of bed. He’s especially grateful if you wake up from your alarm so he has someone to talk to while getting ready. (And he totally won’t convince you to wake up Floyd for him /s).

Floyd Leech:

Oh no. You need a new phone. The alarm goes off and Floyd lunges at it and crushes your phone. And when you get mad at him, he blames you. He tells you that you should’ve turned it off before it woke him up (Like he didn’t destroy it the second it went off). He’ll buy you a new phone if you can make him feel better after being woken up like that. Maybe turn off your alarm when you sleep over again.

Kalim Al-Asim:

He doesn’t have an alarm. He has people to wake him up so he never needed an alarm. He’ll wake up when your alarm goes off and thinks someone’s calling you. He’ll just nuzzle into your arm and murmur about someone calling you. When you tell him it’s your alarm, he’s confused. He thought everyone got woken up by other people. Whenever he hears your alarm go off, he hurries to turn it off so he can continue cuddling with you.

Jamil Viper:

He has his own alarm, but sometimes it’s best if he doesn’t wake up to it. His alarm goes off super early, like 5 am early. With how much he does, he’ll sometimes sleep through it. The first time you slept over, he slept through his alarm, but woke up to yours and he assumes someone changed the time his alarm goes off. Even though he claims that he hates sleeping through his alarm, sometimes he’ll turn it off before going to bed so he can wake up with you.

Vil Schoenheit:

He also has an alarm that goes off earlier than yours. He’ll be in his bathroom doing early morning skincare when he hears your alarm go off. He waits a few minutes before returning to see if you woke up. If you didn’t, he’ll wake you up and tell you that you should wake up the moment your alarm goes off. If you did, he’ll ask how you slept and tell you to brush your teeth, take a shower, etc. etc. (If your alarm is super loud, he’ll ask about your mental health).

Rook Hunt:

Rook is the lightest sleeper in the school. It’s his hunting instincts. In fact, if you asked him, he’d say he never truly feels like he’s asleep (He says it more theatrically). So, technically, no. Your alarm doesn’t wake him up, because he wasn’t asleep. He’ll tell you how beautiful your alarm sounds. It could be set to a tornado warning sound and he’ll still think it’s beautiful (just like you). If you don’t wake up from your alarm, he’ll continue to lay in bed with you. You don’t move, he won’t move.

Epel Felmier:

Your alarm wakes him up and he’s grumpy. It doesn’t matter what wakes him up, he’ll be grumpy. He needs coffee. He wakes up and just curls himself around you. If you insist on getting up, he insists you bring him coffee. If you make him get up, he’ll groan and complain, but get up anyway.

Idia Shroud:

He has his own alarm. He calls it “Ortho”. He’s used to Ortho coming and waking him up, so when your alarm goes off, and wakes him up, he’s confused. Was that his phone? Is someone calling him? Oh sevens, he hopes not. When he realizes it’s your alarm, he calms down. He had a mini panic attack when he thought someone was calling him. If you didn’t wake up from it, he just pokes you and if that doesn’t wake you up, he just lays back down.

Malleus Draconia:

Malleus doesn’t know what an alarm is. Your alarm goes off and he shoots up in bed ready to attack whatever broke in (At least it woke him up?). You just have to sleepily explain what an alarm is. Every morning he forgets and still thinks something or someone broke in. Give him a bit of time to let it sink in. He’ll get used to it, eventually.

Lilia Vanrouge:

Lilia has his own alarm. Five to be exact. None of them wake him up. So, why would your alarm be any different? Lilia is a heavy sleeper, especially if he spent the night playing video games. The only way to make sure he gets up is to drag him out of bed. He thanks you for getting him up and offers to make you breakfast as a “thank you”.

Silver Vanrouge:

It doesn’t wake him up. His own alarms don’t wake him and neither does yours. I mean, a loud alarm would wake him, but he’d also rush to grab his sword because he thinks someone’s attacking. You’re gonna have to wake him yourself. Just shake him awake and tell him to wake up. He apologizes for making you wake him up, and it’s best to just accept it. You can try and tell him it isn’t his fault, but he’ll keep insisting until you “forgive” him (there's nothing to forgive).

Sebek Zigvolt:

He wakes up the moment it goes off. He's up and ready to fight. He looks at your phone, sees that it’s an alarm and asks what’s happening. Just like with Malleus, you have to explain what an alarm is. He doesn’t approve. What do you mean you can’t wake up on your own accord? He thought that was just Silver. He offers to wake you up in place of your alarm. The offer is not as nice as it sounds. He essentially yells in your ear to wake up. The alarm is better.

Notes:

I’m up to chapter 6 and haven’t finished it yet I’ve also only played this game for like a month as it wasn’t available in my country until recently.

-I saw something along the lines of the fact that he is based off of Alice as well as the obvious card soldiers and I can totally see that he is rebellious and doesn’t like the dumb silly rules of the queen’s.

-His nickname would probs be Acey cause he calls Deuce, Deucey

Deuce Spade:

-Made his mum cry so he changed his attitude and cleaned himself up

-Seeing as I can see other Alice in Wonderland characters as the Heartslabyul guys he’d probably be the Blue Caterpillar cause of his blueish hair and eyes also you could say he became a butterfly when he changed his ways

-Is dumb but sweet

-His nickname is already Deucey it’s cannon I can’t change that

Trey Clover:

-If he’s a character from Alice in wonderland he’s obviously the Mad Hatter cause he wears a hat and his hair is green and the Mad Hatter’s hat is green. That’s the only connection I’ve found though.

-Baker boy husband material probably the most laid back character in the game.

-His nickname would be Poundcake

Cater Diamond:

-If he’s also a character from Alice in wonderland he’s Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum cause of his signature spell and he’s a red head

-The fact that he doesn’t like sweet foods being part of the plot is unimportant or relevant but it’s some character development I guess

-Annoying but in a different way then Ace

-His nickname to me would just be Cay

This is an x reader insert blog, anything to do with character x Character is completely out of the question for me unless it has to do with a poly relations with Said reader. Shipping has never been my thing and will continuously not be.

Reader will out of be gender neutral/Female. Writing for male readers have never been my strong suit and I best not make assumptions or lazily write how I think a man acts since I don't know how they do act in fictional situations.

No Oc or Oc insert, with doing oc it would be a long process of knowing every detail of the oc as well as their personality and then trying to insert it into the story. For Me that a bit of a Hassel to do and would take up to much time to do so I prefer to leave this out for now.

I do take sub or Dom readers, both are fine by me as long as you don't request anything to extreme. I will also let you know if the request is something to uncomfortable to write.

You can request up to 3-5characters or 1 dorms per ask. I wish to keep each ask nice an detailed as possible so I would like to only have a small amount to write for that way i can take time on each one without taking to long on it or half-ass writing it.

I will only write in 2nd person. 3rd or 1st person is a no go for me.

Dark topics are okay, I don't mind writing for them as long as you don't not request anything extremely serious or straight uncomfortable for others or myself.

I can and will delete ask that I straight up refuse to do, I have the will to do so especially it is something I don't agree with or not wanted on my blog. So be be aware of what you request.

Yandere ask are also fine. But be known that I may write them In the way I know them or prefer writing them.

I do take time to write my fictions so will take time for me to post. Since I have a life outside of my blog I will post and get request done when I have my free time, any spamming I will block on-site.

Good day to you! I was rereading your amazing comic of TWSTxP5 when I decided to see the masterlist and the au link. You seems to have so many AU ideas that seems interesting, but I am quiet interested to know more about the MHA AU. Can you please elaborate more on this? Thank you 🙏

U-U unfortunately since I last updated the au link.... I... kinda.... created even more aus -3-

The MHA au is a chaotic au... but with a lot of focus points... in other words... I'll break down in here the 3 main plots that this au offers :D

But first, a small intro on this au:

If you don't happen to know MHA(My hero academia)... It's a very popular anime in which around 99% of the population got superpowers dubbed as quirks. You must have some shitty luck to be born quirkless in a world where heroes and villains from comics are fighting right down the street. There are schools who specialize in training heroes, the top one being UA. I won't soil anything more for anyone else who reads this and wants to get in the anime. A fair warning... there is a lot going on in the fandom, so my recommendation is to first get more deep in the show before checking the fandom...

That's an intro for the anime itself, but it will serve as a background for this au lore-wise.

Also warning: I watched fully only up until the 4th-5th season or smth(I forgot) so like we will have to work with that knowledge...

Smol note: in this au, the cannon MHA characters are aged up until we reach to Deku being the no.1 hero, even more after that... So while the cannon of the anime plot wise won't be really mentioned or it will be changed to fit, there will be parallels too that lead to something big.

Now... the quirks and courses the boys are taking:

Heartslabyul

Riddle Rosehearts -Quirk: Headless collars; Course: UA class 2G biology course

Riddle's Quirk allows him to create out of his body special snapping bands that once they wrap around something, they become metal collars. Those collars can emit a toxin that cancels the victim's Quirk as long as they are wearing it. A collar's weight and size can differ depending on Riddle's current emotional condition, as he still cannot control them fully. Currently, Riddle is a biology student at UA, despite his potential of being in the hero courses.

Ace Trappola -Quirk: Creation Roulette; Course: UA class 1A hero course

Creation Roulette is a Quirk with many drawbacks, but a lot of advantages so it wasn't a surprise Ace was a student that entered in UA through recommendation. His Quirk allows Ace to summon out of his body lipids and glucids different objects from pens to cannons. He needs to have a lot of skin showingfor his quirk so there'sthe embarrassing part. The bad part is that the object either is a new, perfectly functional one or an old, impossible to use trinket from the junkyard. This is why Ace has to occupy his time with learning how to fix and restore objects. After all... he cannot just throw them in the enemy's head and hope for the best...

Deuce Spade -Quirk: Mirror hits; Course: UA class 1A hero course

If you inflict any kind of physical pain on Deuce, then he can recreate your attack level of pain through small bullet like cards with numbers on them. If the number is lower than 50, then the pain may range from poking to punches in the face. If the number is in between 50 and 100, then the pain may range from waxing for the first time to straight up stabbings. Deuce can pile up to 7 attack bullets and merge some together until they reach 100 to clear space. If he stacks up attacks, then numbers will appear on his lower left arm. The only thing is... Deuce shouldn't take too much calculating those numbers...

Cater Diamond -Stone copy; Course: UA class 3A hero course

Cater's Quirk is a tricky one. Turning any kind of snall stone into copies of himself. If the stone has proprieties, then the copies gain abilities like increased speed, force or mental processing capacity. Cater can keep the clones in between 10 minutes and 1 hour, but cannot have more than 5 at the same time.

Trey Clover -Quirk: Doodle rewrite; Course: UA class 3A hero course

If Trey's touching any kind of unliving object, with all 5 of his fingers, then he can manipulate the shape, state and color of the said object. However the drawbacks are the need of sugar Trey heeds to maintain his Quirk, along with the fact that he cannot change the chemical composition of the said object. He also needs to maintain contact in between his fingers and the object.

Savanaclaw

Leona Kingscholar -Quirk: Sand lion; Pro Hero: Rex Harenae

Being a pro hero with royal blood, Leona often rubs it to Farena's face that he managed to use his Quirk better than him. Sand lion is a Quirk that allows Leona to turn his lipids into maneuverable sand. His special move is being covered in his sand becoming a gigantic sand lion. His Quirk is named that way because of Leona's lion ears and tail, who are more of a family heritage than a second Quirk. Recently he took the offer of teaching at UA, despite being fairly new in the hero industry. Maybe he's able to tame the rowdy class 1A.

Jack Howl -Quirk: Unleash beast; Course: UA class 1A hero course

With a lot of training, Jack managed to polish his Quirk to the point he can turn parts of his body into wolf ones instead of turning directly into a gigantic wolf, like his Quirk allowed him at first. Very puppy like personality and armed with a notebook and pen, Jack's goal is to understand and witness everyone else quirks from UA, just like the pro heroes's. It's common to see Jack's tail wagging excitedly whenever he sees a new quirk in action, even if he has a poker face.

Ruggie Bucchi -Quirk: Laugh mimicking; Course: UA class 2F support course

Another 5 fingers activating Quirk. If Ruggie happens to touch any living person, he can control their bodies as long as Ruggie does the same moves. Although he cannot hold it for long, Ruggie usually laying on his sneakiness.

Octavinelle

Azul Ashengrotto -Quirk: Land octopus; Course: UA class 2H economy course

Azul is at first glance inoffensive. By his blue blush, octopus eyes and being able of spitting ink, he is a studious and more retreated. But if you happen to know the real potential of the said Quirk, you would know Azul's 4 octopus tentacles that can sprout from his lower back, along with his insane strength. It's really something Azul would rather keep for himself.

Jade Leech -Quirk: Stun-truth glare; Course: UA class 2A hero course

Jade's Quirk is a scary one. If you look him in the golden eye, you will be stunned for as long as Jade looks at you. But if by chance you manage to look in his other eye, you will be forced to tell the truth for 3 questions he asks you. Most people don't know when he activates his Quirk or if he already did it, so it's better to not make eye contact with him, unless some dumbass became your sacrifice lamb.

Floyd Leech -Quirk: reflexive bubbles; Course: UA class 2A hero course

This Quirk is a more defensive one, yet Floyd still manages to create the most aggressive chaos possible with it. Being able to create bubbles of any size that bounce off any kind of attacks can have drawbacks, as they float away or pop after certain amounts of time. Floyd still is very unusual with his use of the Quirk. One may think he and his twin have a 2nd Quirk by the fish ears, body markings, sharp teeth and gills, but really it's just the Leech family's eel genetics....

Scarabia

Kalim Al-Asim -Quirk: Water manipulation; Course: UA class 2A hero course

There's not that much to say about this Quirk... rather... Kalim needs to understand that summoning a tsunami isn't the answer to everything...

Jamil Viper -Quirk: Eye of snake; Course: UA class 2A hero course

Much like Jade... Do. Not. Look. Into. His. Mf. Eyes! If you really are someone who doesn't know danger... Jamil's gaze can make you completely his puppet. It's a problematic Quirk hence Jamil mostly wears one side see-through glasses to avoid making an army of brainwashed persons.

Poemfiore

Vil Schoneheit -Quirk: Chemical kiss; Course: UA class 3N arts course

While he may seem like he doesn't use it often, being able to turn your spit and sweat into any kind of chemical composition as long as you know it, is a very useful Quirk when you want to have unique perfumes, create any kind of beauty products and most importantly... keeping that skin moist and fair without much hassle. Very useful fir poisons too... but you didn't hear it from me :3

Epel Felimer -Quirk(s): 1. Ice sleep, 2. One for all; Course: UA class 1A hero course

His very first, natural Quirk, is trapping people and objects into ice cages that emit sleeping gas inside of them. Epel uses it not that often, as he already mastered it. As fir now, Epel needs to learn and train his body for the One for All Quirk, that was passed to him through a freak accident.

Rook Hunt -Quirk: Eye of the beholder; Course: UA class 3A hero course

While Rook's Quirk allows him to sumon eyes he sees through on any object or surroundings his target interacts with, or straight on the target itself, Rook is a very scary student and even more dangerous if you happen to piss him off.

Ignihyde

Idia Shroud -Quirk: Underworld curse; Course: UA class 3D support course

Some call it a blessing, other an opportunity opener, a few may say it's a worthy hero Quirk, Idia calls it a curse. He can cover any part of his body into a blue flame, that Idia himself controls it's destructive potential. But it seems like Idia avoids mirrors quite often. Some may wonder about that.

Malleus Draconia -Quirk: Dragon; Course: UA class 3A hero course

Entering through recommendation, Malleus is the star of UA's 3rd year. His Quirk not only allows him to spit green flames, but also lets Malleus to have dragon wings, tail, claws and horns. With that intimidating apparent and aura, mist don't really approach Malleus. But I promise he's a nice guy... just a bit... clueless...

Sebek Zibvolt -Quirk: Weather breath; Course: UA class 1A hero course

Sebek's Quirk is a very moody one. He can release out of his mouth clouds at will, and based on his emotions, the clouds can become dangerous storms. People wonder how he managed to enter through recommendation, but they doubt Sebek's ability to combat without a Quirk use.

Silver Vanrouge -Quirk: Dream breath; Course: UA class 2B hero course

A sleep gas that silver can emit out of his mouth. Great for a hero, bad if silver falls victim to his own Quirk. :3

Lilia Vanrouge -Quirk: Vampire; Pro Hero: Dracula

You like movie vampires? The ones that turn into bats, levitate, cannot be seen in mirrors and blend in with the shadows? Well that may sum up Lilia's Quirk. An insane power state that is fueled by: tomato juice. You thought it was blood, no? Well... this UA teacher is sure enjoying himself by scaring newbies

Part 1: That Weird Book

So, I’ve been listening to My Little Pony songs (they’re a bop, you can not change my mind). Anyways, that got me thinking; plot point with the First Years. Obviously magic involving memories or changing magic exists, right? Whether it’s common magic or forbidden dark arts, it probably exists.

Anyways, in MLP there’s this one arc in Season Three where the main cast’s talents are mixed up and they forget memories related to their old talents. The main protagonist has to fix this and bring back their old memories VIA friendship.

So as I listen to “What My Cutie Mark is Telling Me” as I read Twisted Wonderland content, I think,

“Wait, what if the First Years switch dorms AND natural talents?”

This idea brought on a chaotic idea and I am not sorry.

“Are you sure we’re allowed back here?” you ask as you glance behind you, “Isn’t this the restricted area?”

“And?” Ace grabs a book at random, “It’s not like anyone would know - no one comes to check this place, not even the librarian!”

“Ace, we’re supposed to find books to help us study.”

“So what? We can find them now. I just wanted to see what this is about.”

You sigh, leaving the isle. If the librarian catches him, it’s not your problem. You skim the next bookshelf, finding a few books on magic flora and fauna. Crewel would be having a test on natural poisons, so you make sure you grab the books about poisonous plants and animals and not one about healing herbs.

You return to the restricted section, a few books in your arms. To your disappointment, Ace is still there, trying to open a book.

“Seriously Ace?” you groan, “Come on, help me with these books and let’s get back to the group.”

“Whatever.” Ace scoffs, taking some of the books in your arms.

The two of you return to the center of the library, where your locate your group. They sat in the usual spot; the table furthest from the entrance and the librarian’s desk.

Epel and Jack were writing down notes while quietly discussing the content of the book they were reading. Sebek was sitting next to Deuce, explaining why a Winkle-picker harms the feet and not any other part of the body. Grim, bless him, he was sleeping on the table, not even bothering to hide it.

“We’re back.” you announce as you set the books down.

“Ah, welcome back.” Deuce perked up, “Did you get all the books we needed?”

“Ugh, someone already took Everything You Need to Know About Poisonous Plants, but,” you say, placing the books on the table, “we have everything else.”

“Oh, I have a copy of that book.” Epel spoke up, reaching for his bag.

“Great, now we can...Ace, what do you think you’re doing?”

Ace jolted in his seat, the leather book in his hands dropping loudly on the table.

“...Nothing?”

“Don’t tell me you took that book from the restricted section,” you narrow your eyes.

“You did what?” Deuce’s eyes widen, “Ace, you’re going to get us in trouble!”

“Yeah, yeah, I know. I can’t even open this thing anyways,” Ace responds.

“Here, I can take it.” Epel offered, taking the book, “...huh, I can’t open it.”

“You’re trying to read it?!”

“I can’t deny I’m a little curious.”

Sebek bristled, “You shouldn’t try to open books like those! Lilia-sama warned me about those kinds of books; you can get cursed if you open them!”

“A book like this? I doubt it.” Ace said as he snatched the book from Epel’s hands, “I bet it’ll do nothing when we open it.”

“It might do something.” Jack warns him, “We shouldn’t even try to open it.”

“Scared?”, Ace snickered, “It’ll be fine, what could possibly go wrong?”

He shoved the book to you, “How about you try it, Perfect?”

“Why would you think I’d be able to open this?”, you ask, deciding to humor him. It’s not like anything as equally worse as overblots could happen, right?

“You’ve done the impossible before. Like make us”, Ace pointed at Deuce, “Get along.”

“You two would’ve gotten along eventually.”

“...Well, you’ve gained the favor of Young Master.”

“It’s called being a good friend.”

“Didn’t you survive a bunch of overblots even though you’re magicless?”

“I...fair point?”, everyone was looking at you curiously, “Fine. I’ll open it.”

You sigh, the cool leather contrasting with your warm hands. You open it with ease, which you were not expecting.

“...”

With held breaths, the group waits. The book was open, what could it do?

...

“See? The book didn’t do anything.” Ace grinned, “I bet it’s a fake or something.”

“I guess it is harmless.”, Sebek admitted, “But we should still be wary! Even though it didn’t do anything when opened, there could be something else to trigger it’s power!”

“...I wonder why it opened for Perfect instead of Ace or Epel.”, Jack pondered quietly.

“I’m sure it’s nothing.” you say as you skim the book.

You were curious, the contents of the book look harmless, such as a levitating spell or even notes about magical creatures. It wasn’t until the end of the book you begin to question it’s authenticity.

“This must be someone’s journal that ended up in the restriction section by accident.”, you concluded, earning stares from your peers.

“A journal? What makes you think that?”

“So I got someone’s study journal? That’s pretty lucky.”, Ace grinned, “Does it have anything on what we’re studying?”

“I’ve only skimmed it, Ace,” you say, “but I did find something interesting at the back, it’s label as an “Unfinished Spell””

“An unfinished spell?”, this catches the inquiry of everyone.

“What kind of journal contains a spell unfinished?”, Jack scooted closer, “It must be very old, most spells aren’t ‘unfinished’.”

Epel leans over to get a good view of the page, “It doesn’t look like a spell. More like a rhyme for a child’s poem.”

You look down at the book, reading the words as you speak, “From one to another, another to one, a mark of one’s destiny singled out alone, fulfilled.”

“You’re right, it does sound like a line from a children’s poem.”, Deuce comments, “Though why would a student mark it as unfinished-“

The page of the book glows, making Deuce pause. The first years stare at the book.

“...Do not tell me-“

The pens of their group glow, along with the book. When the glow dims, all the first years look at their pens.

“Oh, it just changed color.”, Jack sighed in relief.

“JUST? This is a disgrace to Diasomnia!” Sebek shouted, before lowering his voice, “I can’t have it red.”

“Agreed, Vil would nag me for having a different colored gem.”, Epel groaned.

“At least it only changed the color of our pens.”, Deuce pointed out.

“Oh, it definitely is the best scenario.”, you agreed, “We can figure out how to change the color of our pens right now.”

As if fate hated you, the bell rang. You resist the urge to groan. Great, you did nothing to study, and you are a day closer to the test.

“...there’s the bell.”, Deuce sighed, “We can study tomorrow.”

“That’s fine. One more reason to stay away from Pomfiore.” Epel shrugged, “But I’m blaming Ace if Vil or Rook questions my pen’s new color.”

The six of you say your goodbyes as you pack up. You grab the journal, placing it in your bag. It was a simple journal, besides, giving it a light read could be enlightening. Better than getting a contract for Azul’s notes anyways.

-So it was a “extra picnic” as Cater said

-The sun hit your beautiful skin, Ace got a wonderful view of your side profile

-Floyd stared in wonder at your face

-”Floyd? Are you okay?” you asked the eel man

-With his signature grin plastered on his face, Floyd scooped you up into his arms

Leona Kingscholar

This is the most expressive the new student has ever seen Leona

Leona is shocked and immediately changes how he treats her

His automatic response is to be nicer and more laid back while upping the respect

But, he doesn’t want to out his friend either. Leona’s not going to harm her or take advantage, but the same can’t be said for the entire school 

He’s not going to manipulate or force her to leave, but he does encourage it

An all-boys school is hardly ideal, and honestly, why does she even want to go to an all-boys school? He’s seen enough unhygienic students and some who are too unrestrained after leaving home. Night Raven College is hardly paradise

He does his best to juggle treating her by proper cultural standards, not being obvious and blowing her secret, all while trying to convince her that she should head home

If she insists she’s staying no matter what, Leona casually helps out. He’s not about to make bold declarations about being her knight in shining armour or whatever, but he helps out if he notices she’s in a tight spot

Ruggie Bucchi

WHAT?! Ruggie’s eyes go as wide as teacup saucers, his ears perk up, and his tail comes to a standstill

He tries to recall all of their encounters and hopes he wasn’t horribly disrespectful, or worse, invaded her personal space

Please allow Ruggie a bit of time to process this

He respects her resourcefulness and determination, but he is a bit worried. Some dorms including his are pretty rough, and he can totally see Heartslabyul’s leader absolutely losing it upon finding out about such a grand violation of the rules

Ruggie respects her wishes and helps out when he can. He’s still vice dorm leader and Leona is so lazy that Ruggie has to do a fair bit, but he has street smarts that are handy

Rook Hunt

He compliments her. Honestly, it’s an impressive feat. He’s not sure why she wanted to enroll in an all-boys school, but she’s successfully tricked everyone which is no easy feat

His outward expression is calmer than his true feelings

He might give her a couple tips with her appearance too, reassuring her that if she wants to appear more feminine, she should freely express herself and use Pomefiore as a cover 

Rook knows everyone has their own secrets and she’s entitled to hers

He does enjoy knowing her weakness and the inherent trust and change in their dynamic now that he’s privy to her enormous secret

Rook helps in his own flamboyant way, but his smile may look a little too proud or have an edge that is anything but soft

Jamil Viper

Wow, and he thought Kalim had reckless ideas. What was some spilled soup or leaving first years unattended compared to sneaking into an all-boys school when you are most definitely not a boy?

He has to admit, he is curious how you’ve managed to fool everyone. Did the magic mirror not notice? How did you even get here? How did you enroll? 

He’s a little impressed, it must have taken considerable resourcefulness and magic skill, but overall he feels that it’s pretty foolish. Crowley whips students and has no issues expelling people. There’s no telling what kind of punishment she’d be in for

If the situation is something like there’s no girls or co-ed magic school that accepts applicants from her country, he’d be more understanding

A budding crush may be forming, but Jamil is reluctant to extend a hand so freely. He has his hands full dealing with Kalim as it is. In a pinch, he’d help out but he’d prefer an advance notice

Jamil doesn’t out her. He’s not here to cause trouble and so far no one can prove that Jamil knows her secret either

Ace Trappola

Ace bursts out laughing. This has to be the greatest discovery he’s made at the school. 

If anything, he likes her more, not because of some gender reveal, but because he’s so impressed that she pulled off this feat

She tricked the headmaster, the mirror of darkness, all the faculty members, AND the entire student body into thinking she’s a guy

If anything, he’s asking for tips on how not to get caught and get away with things

Ace teases her, dropping tiny hints at her secret in pubic, and relishing in how she flusters and panics

Despite how he jests and uses this secret for as many laughs as possible, Ace doesn’t reveal her secret. He does like her after all, and it’s nice sharing this inside joke
