After a long mission with no rest:
Price: Dead eyes, he looks like he's going to kill someone. He's mumbling. Do not ask him to repeat himself unless you want his frustrations taken out on you verbally. Has had four cups of coffee and a pack of cigs. Don't look him in the eye.
Soap: He can't keep focus, what is he even looking at? Trails off in the middle of talking. No, he probably won't finish that thought, better luck next time. He has been chewing on his hoodie drawstrings, don't let him swallow them, please.
Ghost: Has been staring at the spot on the wall for the last twenty minutes without blinking. Is he dead? Or sleeping with his eyes open? Either option is possible. Don't touch him, he will bite. Have tea as an offering.
Gaz: Looks like he's about to cry. Nothing productive has come from him since the flight landed. Don't ask him to do anything because it won't get done. Yes, he heard you. No, he will not respond.
Nik: Has been laughing to himself. Did he fly here? Yes. Is he flying back? No his keys are being taken from him, he's passing out in hanger in the back of his bird. Will be mistaken for dead later.
Laswell: She's talking fast but she is not making as much sense as she should. Frustrated, she has her head in her hands. Will fall asleep like that. No, she doesn't want a cup a tea, she wants concentrated caffeine injected into her veins, fuck off.
Graves: If looks could kill... His hair is sentient, he has not touched it since they got to exfil. Southern charm? No, southern sarcasm. He requires thirteen hours of an uninterrupted coma and a pot of coffee.
Alejandro: Incredibly argumentative. Personal space? He doesn't know what that is, doesn't care. Don't be fooled, he's going to start crying if he can't get to a bed in a pitch black room soon.
Rudy: Sarcasm to the max, will make someone cry. If he doesn't answer the first time then don't repeat yourself. He will bitch until he gets to curl up in bed. Don't touch him if you value any and all of your fingers.
Farah: Trying to be overly friendly because she doesn't want to unintentionally upset someone while exhausted. Will say something bitchy then immediately apologize. Please get her some coffee.
Alex: On autopilot, isn't all there. He can go for another two days before passing out. Don’t let him do that. Will say something batshit and then move on without acknowledging it. He's talking to the clowns, do worry about it.

Trash Novel Chronicles: How to Escape a Kingdom || Silver Vanrouge
You get isekai’d as the heroine in a bad novel. The prince is awful. The villainess is worse. The only thing keeping you going is your gorgeous, tired fiancé, Silver Vanrouge.
Series Masterlist
You prided yourself on being a good friend. A great friend, even. The kind of friend who remembered birthdays, hyped up questionable outfit choices, and provided alibis without asking too many questions. But as you stared at the abomination that was your best friend’s first novel, you began to reconsider your life choices.
The book sat in your lap like a lead weight, its aggressively pastel cover mocking you with every passing second. You had read it. You had survived it. But at what cost?
It had started as a simple enough premise: Silver, Duke of the North, was engaged to the heroine. A heroine so naively pure that if someone told her oxygen was a scam, she’d hold her breath until she passed out. The main villains were the neglected fifth prince and his fiancée, the villainess.
The villainess wanted Silver, but Silver wanted nothing to do with her. The fifth prince wanted the heroine, but the heroine, lacking two functional brain cells to rub together, had no idea what was going on.
And then things went completely off the rails.
Somehow, in a sequence of events that you were still trying to understand, Silver got shipped off to an unwinnable war and promptly died. The villainess mysteriously vanished (???), and then—without explanation—the heroine and the prince got married. The end.
You closed the book with the slow, deliberate movements of someone trying not to hurl it through a window. You inhaled deeply. You exhaled through your nose like a dragon trying not to incinerate a village.
You placed the book on the table.
Then you pressed your forehead against the table and contemplated your existence.
Tomorrow, you had to meet your best friend. You had to look them in the eye and tell them what you thought. You had to lie. Or worse—tell the truth.
You did not want to do this.
You needed divine intervention. A bolt of lightning, a sudden coma, a wormhole opening up beneath your feet.
As you walked to their house the next day, still praying for salvation, the universe finally answered.
Unfortunately, it did so in the form of a feral, airborne raccoon.
You were minding your own business, walking past a trashcan, when—BAM. A raccoon launched itself at you with the force of a caffeinated cryptid. There was no warning. No time to react. Just a blur of fur and the sheer weight of your sins crashing into your face.
Startled, you screamed, stumbled, and in a tragic display of physics and poor life choices, tumbled backwards—directly into the trashcan.
The lid snapped shut.
You flailed. You kicked. You thought, Wow, this is really happening, huh?
Then, to add insult to injury, the trashcan began to roll.
With you inside it.
You careened down the street, a human burrito of garbage and regret, before hitting a curb at just the right angle to be yeeted violently into the air.
There was a moment—just a moment—where time slowed, and you thought, Well. At least I don’t have to tell them anymore.
You woke up with that distinct, gnawing feeling that something was off.
It wasn’t the usual I forgot to send an email kind of off. No, this was the I am in the wrong dimension kind of off.
First of all, the bed was too big. Not just luxurious hotel big, but dear God, am I a Victorian orphan who got adopted by a morally gray billionaire? big.
Second, the air smelled clean. Not the comforting, familiar scent of your slightly questionable apartment, where the air carried the faint traces of instant ramen and the existential despair of adulthood.
Third—why was there noise?
You lived alone. The only other living creature that occasionally graced your presence was that one cockroach you had an unspoken truce with. So unless Mr. Roach had recently acquired sentience and thrown himself a rager, someone else was here.
Panic kicked in. You bolted upright, turned your head—this was absolutely not your home.
The walls were pristine. The curtains looked expensive. There was a vanity table. The entire place screamed old money, like the kind of place where people casually owned oil paintings of their ancestors who may or may not have committed tax fraud.
You shot out of bed so fast you nearly concussed yourself on the nearest piece of furniture. Your feet hit the floor. You sprinted to the mirror, skidded to a stop, and—
Oh.
Oh no.
Staring back at you was a person. A person you knew. A person whose entire personality consisted of:
Being impossibly, devastatingly naïve.
Trusting people so fast she’d probably accept a drink labeled 'Not Poison' because "surely no one would lie about that."
Having the observational skills of a decorative cactus.
You were the heroine.
A low, horrified whimper escaped your throat. You sank to the floor, trembling hands pressing into your face.
This was a nightmare. A cruel joke. A divine punishment for every time you had talked smack about the heroine’s IQ in your past life.
The girl who had the critical thinking skills of a potato. The girl whose brain you had long suspected was running exclusively on the Baby Shark song on loop.
And now you were her.
You exhaled shakily, pressing your forehead against the cool floor.
You had survived death. You had defied the natural order.
And for what?
To be reincarnated as a human goldfish with no object permanence?
You were going to die.
Again.
Before you could shake your fist at the heavens and demand an explanation for your untimely demise (courtesy of an overly aggressive raccoon and an unfortunately placed trash can), you needed to do what all great strategists did when thrown into an unwinnable situation: panic internally while pretending you had a plan.
You knew this story. You knew its plot holes were deeper than a budget dungeon crawl, and its character motivations made less sense than a pigeon with a degree in economics. But you had an advantage—foreknowledge. And by the gods, you were going to use it.
The first step? Establishing yourself as Not an Idiot™.
The second step? Ensuring you did not, under any circumstances, end up falling for the fifth prince’s brand of bootleg romantic villainy.
The third step? Avoiding an untimely death like the last protagonist (RIP Silver, Duke of the North, gone but never forgotten).
With this sacred checklist in mind, you marched outside, determined to assert control over your fate—
—only to be immediately ambushed by a squadron of highly trained maids who descended upon you like a swarm of fabric-wielding locusts.
You barely had time to register their presence before you were stripped, perfumed, corseted, and shoved into an outfit so elaborate that it probably required its own construction permit. There were lace trimmings, unnecessary bows, and a pair of shoes so polished you could see your rapidly growing sense of existential dread reflected in them.
You were officially trapped in Victorian Dress-Up Hell.
And then, as if things couldn’t get worse, you were dragged straight to breakfast with your fiancé.
Now, normally, this would be the part where you started screaming. But then you remembered who your fiancé was.
Silver. Duke of the North. The only well-written character in the entire dumpster fire of a novel. A man of honor, competence, and stunning good looks.
Stunning good looks?
That was putting it lightly.
The moment you walked into the dining room, you had to physically stop yourself from gasping like some sort of Victorian maiden experiencing her first bout of hysteria.
Because dear gods above and below—how was he even prettier than his book illustration?!
This was unfair. Illegal. You wanted to file a formal complaint to whatever divine entity was responsible for sculpting this man.
His eyes were closed, silver lashes resting against his cheeks, and you thought—if Sleeping Beauty ever existed, this would be him. A prince of ethereal beauty, untouched by the sins of the world.
And then his eyes fluttered open, revealing a shade that can only be described as 'auroral', and you had to actively bite the inside of your cheek to avoid making a noise so embarrassing that you would have to immediately fake your own death to escape the consequences.
Silver, unaware of your minor cardiac event, blinked at you in mild surprise before rising to pull out your chair. Like a gentleman. Like a man raised with actual etiquette.
Oh. Oh, you were in danger.
Swallowing down the entirely inappropriate reaction threatening to burst forth, you sat down and focused on eating. Silver, as always, was polite and composed, and just when you thought you could make it through breakfast without incident—
He mentioned the prince and the villainess were visiting today.
You must have made a face because he immediately looked concerned. “Are you all right?” he asked. “You usually enjoy their visits.”
Ah. Right. The original heroine was an idiot who thought being terrorized by a manipulative prince with daddy issues and a deranged villainess was fun.
You plastered on your best "I am absolutely thrilled" smile and forced out a chipper, “I can’t wait.”
Silver, bless his soul, nodded.
Internally, you were already constructing an elaborate plan to ensure that the prince got the message loud and clear: you were NOT interested.
And if that involved metaphorically throwing him off a metaphorical cliff?
Well. You had no objections.
The moment the Fifth Prince and the Villainess walked into the room, you instinctively tightened your grip on Silver’s sleeve like a soldier preparing for war. Because that’s exactly what this was—a battle. A battle of wits, patience, and trying very hard not to start swinging the nearest porcelain teapot.
The prince, in all his bootleg Casanova glory, approached first, his slick hair practically radiating the arrogance of a man who had never been told “no” in his entire life. His regal posture was flawless, his smirk expertly practiced in front of a mirror for at least five hours a day, and his eyes held the glint of a man who truly believed women were won like prizes at a rigged carnival game.
He reached for your hand, expecting you to giggle like a brainless debutante and let him hold it for an amount of time that was definitely pushing social norms.
Instead, you gripped his hand like a corporate executive about to close a high-stakes business deal. One firm shake. Then, for good measure, you slapped him on the back with the solid force of a man congratulating his buddy on a promotion.
“Good to see you, pal,” you said, voice brimming with friendly aggression.
The prince, visibly malfunctioning, blinked. “I—”
But you were already moving, looping your arm through Silver’s and pressing close to his side like you were the world’s most affectionate barnacle.
Silver, bless his chivalrous heart, barely hesitated before holding your hand firmly in return, his grip warm and steady. You had to physically restrain yourself from letting out a deranged, victorious giggle at the look on the prince’s face. He was staring at your interlocked hands like someone had just stolen his dessert plate right in front of him.
Oh, what a shame. What a tragedy. You almost felt bad.
Almost.
Then came the villainess.
She strutted forward, all sharp smiles and predatory grace, her heavily perfumed presence announcing itself like a nuclear bomb made of floral overkill. Without hesitation, she reached for Silver’s arm, her movements slow, deliberate—
Silver, in response, immediately took a step back like she had just pulled out a vial labeled “Highly Contagious Disease—Do Not Touch.”
You had never respected a man more in your life.
With the efficiency of someone handling a customer complaint, you smoothly stepped between them and took her hand instead. One quick shake—firm, professional, just detached enough to say I acknowledge you exist but not in any way that brings me joy.
She stared at you, visibly seething, like a cat that had just been denied access to the good couch.
Behind you, Silver sighed in such obvious relief that you were pretty sure you just secured a place in his will.
Tea time was, predictably, a disaster.
The prince kept attempting to flirt with you, hitting you with lines so cringeworthy that they could legally be classified as psychological warfare. Every time he tried, you shot him down with the efficiency of a seasoned HR manager rejecting an office romance scandal.
Meanwhile, the villainess was shamelessly trying to touch Silver, leaning in with the dramatic flair of a woman in a period drama who had just found out she had two months to live. Silver, for his part, looked two seconds away from either falling asleep or astral projecting out of sheer discomfort.
By the time they finally left, you had experienced the emotional equivalent of running a full marathon while being chased by geese.
Silver, apparently just as exhausted, slumped onto you like a marionette whose strings had just been brutally severed.
You sat there, unmoving, staring at the top of his head like you had just been gifted an extremely delicate and beautiful artifact. His silver hair was soft, his breathing slow and steady, and—
Oh. You were in danger again.
Future plans. Right. Focus.
You sat there, contemplating your next move like a war general preparing for battle. Clearly, Operation I Am Not Interested, Your Highness was off to a strong start. But you needed a long-term strategy. A game plan. A—
Silver stirred.
You glanced down, just in time to see his eyes flutter open, confusion evident in the soft furrow of his brow. Then he blinked. Looked around. Realized he was half-sprawled across your lap.
A deep red blush spread across his face like ink soaking into parchment. “I—I’m so sorry—”
You, feeling absolutely no shame about using this opportunity to appreciate just how stunning this man was, smiled. “It’s okay.”
Silver looked like he wanted to sink into the floor and never return.
And as you gazed at him—this rare creature of beauty and genuine kindness, blushing like he was the maiden in distress—you thought, It has to be illegal to be this pretty AND nice.
And then, in true romantic fashion, you immediately started plotting ways to keep him as far away from the main plot as possible
You had, to put it simply, absolutely nothing to do.
After successfully fending off the Fifth Prince’s attempts at romance and blocking the Villainess like a medieval goalie, your schedule was depressingly empty. No political meetings. No noble drama. Just you, a very comfortable chair, and the creeping existential dread of living inside a book with a plot so brain-cell-depleting that it should come with a warning label.
So, naturally, you decided to go watch Silver train.
And damn.
You thought you were prepared. You really did. But watching Silver train was a completely different beast from reading about it in the novel.
The way his sword cut through the air? Poetry.
The way his muscles flexed as he parried and countered? Divine artistry.
The way he casually knocked his opponents to the ground while offering them helpful advice like, “You left your right side open. Try shifting your stance” as if he hadn’t just folded them like cheap laundry? Criminal.
You found yourself wishing for one of those tiny opera glasses so you could watch this in HD. Maybe even a chaise lounge so you could dramatically swoon at the appropriate moments.
But you settled for the next best thing—sitting with a cold bottle of water, pretending you weren’t staring at him like an awestruck peasant witnessing a deity descend from the heavens.
Silver eventually noticed your presence and, being the kind soul that he was, immediately came over. Probably to check if you were in distress because, let’s be honest, the original heroine never did anything without needing someone’s help five minutes later.
“Is something wrong?” he asked, eyes filled with genuine concern.
You blinked. “Nope. Just brought you this.”
You handed him the water, and— oh. Oh, wow. Was he blushing?
“I—thank you,” Silver said, taking the bottle with a kind of stunned hesitation, as if no one had ever done something nice for him before. Which, honestly, in this novel? Entirely possible.
“Well, since you’re bored,” he continued, after taking a drink, “would you like to take a walk around town?”
You nodded. Because, really, what else were you going to do? Stare at a wall? Accidentally trigger a romance flag with the prince by breathing in his general direction? No, thank you.
The town was bustling. People were selling overpriced trinkets, children were running around with the manic energy of creatures that had never paid taxes, and the smell of fresh bread filled the air.
You were browsing a suspiciously glittery hat stall when you saw it—a tiny fortune-telling booth, tucked between a bakery and a store selling the kind of weapons that definitely weren’t legally registered.
“Want to check that out?” you asked Silver, jerking your head toward the booth.
Silver, because he was down for anything as long as it didn’t involve unnecessary drama, nodded.
The fortune teller was exactly what you expected. Mysterious robes? Check. Hood obscuring half their face? Check. A table full of random, ominous objects? Check. A single, gnarled hand that slowly reached out the moment you sat down? Horrifying, but also check.
“Your fate is… twisting.” The fortune teller’s voice was dramatic, like they got paid per cryptic sentence. “You must learn to change your destiny. And… most importantly… you must learn how to say no.”
You and Silver exchanged looks.
“…Huh?”
The fortune teller did not elaborate. They simply leaned back, looking entirely too pleased with themselves.
Well. That was unhelpful.
You both stood up, ready to leave when—
“Oh,” the fortune teller added, just as you were stepping out. “Good luck with your romance.”
You and Silver froze.
The air became so thick with tension that you could probably cut it with one of the overpriced swords from earlier.
Neither of you spoke. Neither of you made eye contact.
Silver, visibly flustered, stared very hard at a distant fruit stand.
You, on the other hand, suddenly found a deep, profound interest in the cobblestone street, as if it held the answers to life’s mysteries.
The entire walk home was excruciating. Not because of anything bad—no, because your brains were both melting from sheer secondhand embarrassment.
Every time your hands almost brushed, one of you would jolt like you’d been electrocuted.
At one point, Silver cleared his throat awkwardly.
At another, you tripped on absolutely nothing and had to pretend it didn’t happen.
By the time you got back, you were convinced that the fortune teller wasn’t actually magical, just a professional-level troll who lived for drama.
And you, unfortunately, had walked straight into it.
It was a perfectly peaceful day. The sun was shining, the birds were singing, and for once, you weren’t being subjected to the medieval drama equivalent of a telenovela.
So, naturally, fate decided to drop-kick that peace into the sun.
One moment, you were lounging in the garden, enjoying the fleeting calm, and the next—
A shadow descended upon you. Something small, fast, and full of chaotic energy launched itself from the goddamn sky.
You barely had time to react before you were two inches away from seeing God again.
By some miracle (or the sheer will of your survival instincts), you managed to not die as a tiny, incredibly energetic man landed in front of you, grinning like he hadn’t just almost assassinated you with his entrance.
“Oops!” he chirped, not looking apologetic at all. “Did I scare you?”
Scare you? Sir, you had aged ten years and seen your life flash before your eyes like a badly edited PowerPoint presentation.
“Who—” you gasped, still processing your near-death experience, “—who are you?”
The menace placed a hand on his chest, dramatic as hell. “Nice to meet you, future daughter-in-law!”
Oh. Oh.
So this was Silver’s dad.
You had to take a moment. Because one—this man did not look like anyone’s dad. He looked like someone’s mischievous younger brother who steals your socks and sets them on fire for fun. And two—Silver was so calm and gentle and responsible.
How?
HOW DID THIS HAPPEN??
Genetics had to be playing 4D chess.
But you quickly discovered that while Lilia was absolutely, certifiably insane, he was also hilarious.
So, like any normal people, you both immediately started talking mad shit about the Fifth Prince and the Villainess.
“Can you believe,” you huffed, sipping your tea like an 18th-century noble gossiping at a ball, “that the Prince keeps trying to flirt with me in front of Silver? In public? With witnesses?”
Lilia cackled. “That boy has no shame. And his fiancée—gods above, she has the personality of a spoon.”
You nearly choked on your tea. “RIGHT?? And she keeps trying to touch Silver like he’s a limited-edition collectible.”
Lilia grinned. “Well, he is handsome.”
“Yeah, but he’s not touchable handsome. He’s look from afar and cry a little handsome.”
“Ah, so you cry when you look at him?”
“…I— I feel like I’m being entrapped by my own words.”
“What are you two talking about?”
You both turned to see Silver standing there, looking… confused.
You, ever the graceful conversationalist, froze like you had been caught committing treason.
Lilia, on the other hand, looked positively delighted.
“Oh, just talking about our beloved Crown Prince,” he said, tone dripping with sarcasm so thick you could butter toast with it.
Silver blinked. His eyes slowly drifted to you.
You cleared your throat. “Yeah. Your dad and I were just bonding over our deep, mutual hatred.”
There was a pause. And then—
Silver smiled.
Not just any smile. A pleased smile. The kind of smile you’d expect from a man who just found out his worst enemy stepped on a rake.
Which. Well.
Considering the Crown Prince was his worst enemy, that checked out.
Unfortunately, the moment of camaraderie didn’t last.
Because Lilia, with the delight of someone about to ruin your entire month, dropped a bombshell.
“Oh, by the way,” he said casually, like he wasn’t about to wreck your day, “war is brewing. The Prince wants Silver to go to the front lines.”
You stopped breathing.
Your blood turned to ice.
The original heroine had been all for it—saying some nonsense about how it was the right thing to do and how Silver should go save lives.
You?
You were NOT that kind of saint.
You were going to beg.
You were going to grovel.
You were going to throw yourself onto the ground like a soccer player faking an injury if you had to.
Silver was NOT going to war.
Lilia was watching you now, a knowing smile on his face.
You were too busy plotting your fiancé’s survival to care.
You had barely finished your morning tea when trouble arrived at your doorstep, wrapped in a cloak of audacity and bad financial decisions.
See, apparently, the previous owner of your body had the charitable sense of a malfunctioning Roomba. She’d give money to anything that sounded remotely good. Orphanage? Sure! Rehabilitation center? Fantastic! An organization claiming to rescue drowning fish? Take all of it.
And now, since you had not been throwing bags of gold at questionable "charities" like a medieval Jeff Bezos with a conscience, someone had come personally to shake you down.
The man standing in front of you was the exact type of person who looked like he belonged in a back alley deal gone wrong. He had the thin mustache of a man who thought twirling it made him look menacing and the beady eyes of someone who’d absolutely try to sell you "magic beans" at a 500% markup.
"You!" he sneered, pointing a bony finger at you like he was about to curse your entire bloodline. "Why have you ceased your donations to the Sacred Order of the Benevolent Fish Saviors? Do you not care for the plight of the aquatic brethren?"
You stared at him, unblinking.
“…Are you seriously trying to convince me that fish can drown?”
"The oceans are a dangerous place!" he snapped, voice thick with righteous fury. "Only the kindhearted can understand the delicate balance of aquatic life—”
"Alright, shut up." You pinched the bridge of your nose. "No more money. Get a real job. Touch some grass. Read a book that isn’t written by con artists."
You thought that would be the end of it. Oh, how wrong you were.
Because instead of groveling like any normal scam artist when their grift gets cut off, this man decided to take the most insane course of action possible—he lunged at you.
Now, let’s get one thing straight. You were ready to commit a crime. Your 4-inch heels were locked, loaded, and prepared to introduce themselves to his ribcage. But you didn’t even get the chance.
Because before you could react, something blurred at the edge of your vision—
CRACK.
The next thing you knew, the man was frozen in place, his wrist locked in an iron grip, and standing beside you was Silver.
Silver, who you hadn’t even noticed entering the room.
Silver, whose grip looked firm enough to end generations.
Silver, who just made a grown man sound like a dying accordion.
The scammer wheezed, his face rapidly losing color as he tried and failed to wrench himself free.
Silver’s expression? Calm. Unbothered. Serene, even. Like he hadn’t just manhandled this guy into an early retirement.
“I’d appreciate it if you didn’t attack my fiancée,” Silver said, voice so polite that it somehow made everything ten times more terrifying.
You blinked. You could physically hear the bones in the scammer’s arm considering a career change.
Silver finally let go—shoving him toward the door like he was disposing of a particularly annoying mosquito. The man stumbled out, barely managing to stay upright, and within seconds, he was sprinting off the property like the devil himself was on his heels.
When Silver turned back to you, he looked almost sheepish. "…Sorry you had to see that," he murmured. "I don’t usually act like that in front of others."
You opened your mouth. Closed it. Opened it again.
Because what were you supposed to say to that?
“Oh no, Silver, that was awful. Truly terrible. In fact, I definitely did not find it insanely attractive when you nearly broke a man’s wrist for me.”
Yeah, no way in hell were you admitting that.
Instead, you just smiled, folding your hands neatly in front of you. "No, no, it’s fine. No need to apologize."
Silver still looked vaguely guilty. You, meanwhile, were trying very hard to resist the urge to start giggling like a schoolgirl.
Because holy shit.
Was it legal to be this attractive AND chivalrous?
If Silver kept this up, you were going to have a serious problem.
The ball was grand, elegant, and, most importantly, the single biggest waste of your time since you once spent two hours watching a documentary about the history of forks.
You had already resigned yourself to being bored out of your mind when Lilia swooped in like the guardian angel you never asked for and dragged you to a shadowy corner of the ballroom. This was, according to him, the best place to engage in the most sacred of all noble pastimes—people-watching and ruthless judgment.
And what a show it was.
"Oh, oh, look at that one!" Lilia cackled, nearly doubling over as he pointed at a woman who had, in a bold and truly ill-advised move, decided to wear a dress that looked like a monochrome cake. "She looks like she repurposed a funeral veil!"
You took a sip of your drink and nearly spit it out. "Lilia, that dress has committed war crimes against fashion."
"The ruffles! The sleeves! It’s like someone asked themselves, ‘How do I make this look as unflattering as possible?’ and then succeeded beyond their wildest dreams," he added.
You continued this noble pursuit for a solid fifteen minutes, giggling over outfits that defied both reason and taste. The two of you had just started critiquing a man who looked like he had raided a circus wardrobe when your night took a dramatic turn for the worse. The prince—His Royal Unwantedness—had spotted you.
You watched in horror as he began striding over, each step dripping with the unearned confidence of a man who had never been told "absolutely not" in his entire life except by his father. This was a man who probably thought women fainted at the mere sight of him when, in reality, they were most likely collapsing from secondhand embarrassment.
Lilia’s expression shifted instantly. The usual mischievous twinkle in his eyes vanished, replaced by something cold and sharp. He looked ready to commit several crimes, and you were tempted to let him.
But no. You were mature. You were reasonable. You were absolutely about to handle this like a professional.
So you winked at Lilia and whispered, "Relax. I got this."
The prince didn’t bother with pleasantries when he arrived, because of course he didn’t. "Dance with me," he said, because why waste time on politeness when you can just issue demands like a badly written romance villain?
You took his hand with a practiced, polite smile. "Of course, Your Highness," you said sweetly, the verbal equivalent of setting a trap and waiting for him to fall right in.
The dance started off normally enough. The prince led you across the ballroom, his movements controlled and graceful. Unfortunately, any illusion of elegance was immediately ruined by the fact that he would not stop staring at you. Not in the way Silver did, all soft and careful, but like he was trying to figure out if you were edible.
"You seem different tonight," he said, voice oozing with forced charm. "More… confident."
You forced out a laugh that you hoped conveyed the exact right amount of fake amusement. "And you seem exactly the same, Your Highness."
If he noticed the insult, he didn’t acknowledge it. Instead, he pulled you just a little closer. That was his first mistake.
His second mistake came when his hand decided to wander lower than what was remotely appropriate.
Your reaction was immediate. You didn’t even think—your knee just shot up with the force of divine judgment.
And oh, what a glorious moment it was.
The prince let out a strangled sound somewhere between a dying peacock and a man realizing all his hopes and dreams had just been shattered. He crumpled like a marionette with cut strings, collapsing into himself as the entire ballroom fell into stunned silence.
For one perfect, breathtaking moment, nobody spoke.
Then you gasped dramatically, placing a delicate hand over your mouth like the very picture of innocent devastation. "Oh my goodness!" you exclaimed, voice laced with the perfect amount of fake concern. "I was simply startled when you touched me there! I had no idea you were so close!"
The Empress, who had been watching this whole scene unfold with the same expression one might wear when realizing their soup had a cockroach in it, took a single look at her son, let out a long, exhausted sigh, and then turned on her heel and left the ballroom. She didn’t even glance back.
Somewhere behind you, Lilia was laughing so hard he had to physically clutch a pillar for support.
Before you could bask in your triumph, a warm, familiar presence appeared at your side.
Silver.
"Are you alright?" he asked, voice quiet but firm.
You nodded, still recovering from the sheer joy of watching the prince—His Royal Lowness— collapse like a sandcastle at high tide. "I’m fine," you assured him.
Silver, ever thorough, scanned you with a careful gaze, double-checking for any signs of distress. Apparently satisfied, he slowly turned his attention to the prince, who was still on the floor making noises that sounded vaguely like whimpering.
Silver’s face remained neutral, but the sheer force of his glare was something otherworldly. You were surprised the prince hadn’t just spontaneously combusted on the spot.
Lilia sauntered up beside you and, with the most casual nonchalance in the world, lifted his hand and gave you a perfectly subtle high-five.
Falling in love with Silver was not something you had planned for. It wasn’t even something you had remotely considered, because falling for a fictional character—even one brought to life by the absurdity of your existence—was stupid.
And yet, here you were. Doomed.
It had started subtly, like a slow-acting poison. You’d watch him train and catch yourself admiring the way he moved, graceful and disciplined, like a warrior from some epic tale.
Then it got worse. A white bunny hopping through the garden? That looks like Silver. A particularly stunning sunset, lilac and soft? Those are Silver’s eyes. A suspiciously sharp knife on the dinner table? Silver has a sharp sword.
There was no escape. The entire world had transformed into a living scrapbook of Silver-Themed Hallucinations, and it was ruining you.
You couldn’t sleep. Every time you closed your eyes, there he was—standing under the moonlight, holding your hand, looking at you like you were something precious. It was unbearable.
Which brought you to now.
You were sitting at a tea party, drowning in a state of sleep deprivation so severe that you were genuinely considering just face-planting into your teacup and accepting whatever fate awaited you. The sunlight was too bright, the air was too floral, and the pastries tasted like nothing. Everything sucked.
And then, because the universe hated you, the villainess approached.
She had the smug, self-satisfied look of someone who had never had a single original thought in her life. "Oh dear," she said, voice dripping with saccharine mockery, "you look absolutely dreadful today. Has your precious Duke been keeping you up all night?"
Usually, you would have handled this with grace. A snide remark, a well-placed jab, maybe even an eyeroll so dramatic it would have sent you into another timeline.
But not today.
Today, you were tired.
Today, you were grappling with a full-scale emotional crisis.
Today, you had reached your limit.
So, instead of responding like a rational, civilized person, you calmly reached for the nearest cup of juice, lifted it with all the dignity of a noblewoman, and threw it directly at her face.
The liquid splashed over her dress, staining the expensive fabric a deep, unforgiving red.
Silence. Absolute silence.
Her mouth opened, presumably to shriek, but you were not done.
Before she could get a word out, you grabbed her by the collar, yanking her forward so she could fully comprehend the depths of your unholy exhaustion.
"The next time you run your mouth," you said, voice dangerously low, "you might just end up meeting God."
Her eyes widened in pure, unfiltered terror.
Oh, but you weren’t finished. You gave her collar a final, dramatic tug. "And keep your hands off my fiancé."
Then, with the grandeur of a war general who had just claimed victory, you released her, turned on your heel, and stormed out.
Silver, who had witnessed everything, stared at you as though you had just set the entire kingdom on fire.
You grabbed his wrist, ignoring the way he flinched in bewilderment, and dragged him out with you.
You didn’t stop until you were safely inside the carriage, away from prying eyes, and only then did you collapse onto the seat, pressing your hands against your face.
Silver sat beside you, still looking utterly shell-shocked. He opened his mouth, closed it, then opened it again, clearly struggling to form a single coherent thought.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, he slowly reached for your hand. His touch was warm, steady—like an anchor. "What’s wrong?" he asked softly.
And that was it. The last thread of your restraint snapped.
Before you could even think about stopping yourself, you turned to him, grabbed his face, and kissed him.
It was immediate. There was no hesitation, no moment of confusion. Silver kissed you back like he had been waiting for this his whole life. His hands moved to cradle your face, gentle but firm, pulling you closer as if he couldn’t bear to let go.
You didn’t know how long it lasted—time had ceased to exist—but when you finally pulled away, your heart was a mess.
You took a deep breath, feeling the weight of the moment crush you. "I love you," you admitted, voice raw. "And I have been suffering."
Silver’s eyes widened, but only for a moment. Then, with a sudden, almost breathless laugh, he leaned in again. "I love you too," he murmured against your lips, "so much."
And then he kissed you again.
Take that, villainess.
There were many things you did not want to deal with first thing in the morning.
A war? Absolutely not.
A war involving Silver? Somebody was going to die.
You groaned as you dragged yourself out of bed at the noise downstairs, feeling like a corpse being forced to participate in capitalism. You stomped downstairs, barely managing to keep yourself upright, and immediately regretted existing.
Silver was already in the living room, arms crossed, looking about two seconds away from snapping someone’s spine in half like a stale breadstick. Lilia, usually a walking cryptid with an unshakable grin, looked like he was holding back every unholy thought in his mind just for the sake of his son’s sanity.
And then. Them.
The Prince. The Villainess. The living embodiments of tax fraud and emotional instability.
Oh, hell no.
You grabbed the nearest maid, who was visibly vibrating with fear, and whispered, "What’s happening?"
She gulped. "T-The Prince is trying to send His Grace to lead the war."
Your soul ascended.
Your patience evaporated.
You had not suffered through an isekai, navigated 18th-century nonsense, and fallen head over heels for your incredibly hot and kind fiancé just for him to be thrown into a battlefield meat grinder because some discount royal didn’t want to risk his own cowardly neck.
You stormed across the room like a woman possessed, and the moment the Prince saw you, his whole face lit up—because he thought you were still the naive airhead he could manipulate into convincing Silver to go die for him.
The Villainess, however? She shrank back immediately.
Maybe it was the murderous glare you were directing at them. Maybe it was because she had witnessed your unhinged wrath firsthand. Maybe it was because deep down, she understood that she was in the presence of a feral raccoon of a person who had already died once and had nothing left to lose.
The Prince reached out to touch your shoulder as if he could physically weasel you onto his side.
Big mistake.
You swatted his hand away so hard you nearly dislocated his wrist.
"No," you said, voice dripping with finality.
The Prince blinked, caught off guard. "What?"
"Silver’s not going to war." You looked him dead in the eyes. "Try someone else."
Silence.
The Prince’s face twisted into a diplomatic smile. "But, my dear—"
"Do I look like your dear?" You took a step forward, forcing him back. "Silver already said no. The Emperor didn't send a decree, which means you’re just trying to shove him in front of your responsibilities, aren’t you?"
His jaw clenched. "That’s not—"
"Oh, but it is," you cut in, grinning like a predator who just found dinner. "If you need a sacrifice so badly, why not lead the war yourself? Oh, wait—you’re scared." You tilted your head. "Why should Silver go fight and die in your place? What do you contribute to this kingdom besides being the reason the Empress probably drinks herself to sleep?"
Lilia let out a choked laugh. Silver covered his mouth to hide his amusement. The Villainess looked like she wanted to phase out of existence.
"How dare you!" The Prince seethed, looking like a child whose toy had been taken away.
"How dare you?" you mimicked back, voice laced with venomous mockery. "Seriously, just die already. It’s called natural selection. Worms like you don’t deserve to keep reproducing and terrorizing the female population."
The Prince, red with humiliation and rage, looked like he wanted to lunge at you, but before he could humiliate himself further, he turned on his heel and stormed out.
The Villainess trailed after him, but not before giving you a look that was equal parts impressed and terrified.
As soon as they were gone, you turned to Silver and clapped your hands together.
"So," you said, still brimming with unholy energy. "Let’s get married."
Silver, who was still processing the apocalyptic verbal execution you had just delivered, blinked at you. "What?"
You nodded sagely. "Yeah. Immediately. Preferably before they try something else. Then we can go on a honeymoon somewhere far away from all this war nonsense."
Silver stared at you, beautifully confused. "...Are you serious?"
"Dead serious," you replied. "Pack your bags, babe, we’re getting hitched."
Silver, against all odds, smiled. And then, he agreed.
Lilia threw a celebratory punch in the air.
Congratulations. You’re planning a wedding now, baby!
Planning a wedding was supposed to be a stressful but joyous occasion.
Your reality? It was mostly just stress.
Between dodging passive-aggressive nobles, fending off suspiciously enthusiastic tailors, and ensuring that the wedding menu didn’t include anything remotely related to the Prince’s favorite foods out of sheer spite, you were running on fumes.
And that’s when Silver came to you, looking strangely hesitant.
Immediately, your brain went to worst-case scenarios.
Was he having doubts? Did he get conscripted behind your back? Was he about to pull a tragic self-sacrifice move that you’d have to thwart with unhinged levels of devotion and threats of arson?
"Can we talk?" he asked, his voice unsure.
You, in full fight-or-flight mode, clutched your chest. "Silver, if you’re about to say something stupid, I’m legally obligated to stop you."
His expression twitched, like he wasn’t sure whether to be exasperated or endeared. "It’s not stupid," he assured you. Then, after a pause, "I wanted to ask… do you like this country?"
You stared at him. Stared.
"Silver." You grabbed both his hands. "Are you joking?"
His gaze softened, but he stayed serious. "If you had the choice, would you leave?"
You blinked. "Why?"
Silver exhaled, his grip on your hands tightening just slightly. "Lilia and I… We lived somewhere else before we came here. I was thinking—if we left, we could live peacefully. Away from all this. We wouldn’t be nobility, but we wouldn’t have to deal with—" He gestured vaguely, as if trying to encompass the entire kingdom’s collective insanity.
And that’s when it hit you.
You could leave. You could actually escape.
You didn’t have to waste your life playing politics in a country where half the nobility was allergic to common sense. You didn’t have to pretend to care about court scandals that made your brain rot. You didn’t have to deal with war-hungry royals who had the intelligence of a damp sock.
You could take your hot, kind, sword-wielding fiancé and dip.
You could live a peaceful, quiet, cottagecore dream where your biggest concerns would be whether the goats ate your laundry or if Silver accidentally adopted another wild animal.
You gripped Silver’s hands so hard you nearly cut off circulation.
"Silver." Your voice shook with emotion. "I love you so much right now."
He blinked, startled by your intensity.
"I’m taking as much wealth as I can from this godforsaken kingdom," you declared, fully committed. "And then we’re running. We’ll live a cozy life, I’ll grow a garden, you can train without political idiots breathing down your neck, and we’ll be so disgustingly in love that Lilia will probably want to leave out of secondhand embarrassment."
Silver stared at you for a beat, lips parting slightly—before he suddenly let out a breathy laugh.
God, he was so beautiful when he smiled.
He cupped your cheek, gaze warm, and leaned in, pressing a kiss to your lips. It was soft, reverent, like he couldn’t believe this was real.
You melted, gripping his sleeve to keep yourself from combusting.
When he pulled away, he whispered, "Then that’s it. We’ll get married, and we’ll be free."
And that was that.
You were getting married and escaping these lunatics before they had the chance to retaliate.
Honestly? Best wedding gift ever.
Mornings in your new life were warm, lazy, and sweet— the kind of peace you never thought you’d get after surviving the absolute circus that was your past life.
You stretched with a yawn, shuffled into the kitchen, and started making breakfast. The house smelled of fresh bread, eggs, and domestic bliss.
And then, like clockwork, Silver appeared.
You weren’t sure if he was half-awake or just naturally this clingy, but the second he found you, he wrapped himself around you from behind. His arms encircled your waist, and he rested his chin on your shoulder, pressing a slow, sleepy kiss to your neck.
“Good morning,” he murmured against your skin, voice still husky with sleep.
Weak. You were weak.
“Silver,” you tried to scold, but it came out softer than intended.
He hummed, not moving, not even pretending to be helpful. His weight was solid, grounding, a warm anchor against your back.
"You are actively making this difficult," you sighed, flipping a pancake.
“Difficult to cook?” he asked, his lips brushing over your jaw.
“Difficult to live, Silver. How am I supposed to focus when you’re like this?”
He chuckled, pulling you impossibly closer. “I don’t see the problem.”
And this was your life now.
In the afternoons, Silver trained with Sebek, and you watched, entertained by their very specific brand of friendship.
Sebek was loud, passionate, and dedicated. Silver was calm, level-headed, and tired. Together, they created the strangest dynamic known to man.
“Silver, your form is slipping!” Sebek barked, nearly vibrating with intensity.
Silver deflected Sebek’s attack without even looking. “It’s fine.”
“It is NOT fine!” Sebek yelled, throwing himself forward with the fury of a man who took personal offense to subpar swordsmanship.
You sipped your drink, watching this unfold like it was a very dramatic stage play.
Eventually, Silver knocked Sebek’s sword from his hands with an effortless twist, and Sebek fell to his knees, gasping.
You clapped. “Wow. What a performance. I’d rate it a solid 8/10.”
Sebek looked offended. “8?! What was missing?!”
“More drama,” you said. “Maybe fake your death next time. Really sell the loss.”
Sebek narrowed his eyes, as if actually considering it. Oh no. What have you done?
Lilia showed up almost every day, either to offer unsolicited advice or to cause chaos. Sometimes, he brought Malleus.
You still hadn’t fully recovered from realizing that Malleus was the fae prince.
Today was no different. He arrived grinning, eyes full of mischief, which was already a sign of danger.
“So,” he started, dramatically leaning in. “Have you two considered… adopting a dragon?”
Silver blinked. You stared.
Malleus, sipping his tea beside him, nodded sagely. “It would be an honorable task.”
You set your cup down very, very slowly.
“I—what?” you asked, convinced you misheard.
“A dragon,” Lilia said, as if that explained everything. “You’re living in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by nature, why not raise a baby dragon? Imagine the bond! The companionship! The chaos!”
Malleus actually looked excited. “I could grant you one from my own lineage.”
Silver looked at you, waiting for you to react.
You looked at Silver.
Then back at Malleus, a literal fae prince, who had just casually offered to gift you a baby dragon.
Sebek, in the corner, looked like he was about to faint.
“...You’re joking,” you said, voice dangerously neutral.
Lilia and Malleus just smiled.
You dragged your hands down your face. “I barely survived dealing with a corrupt kingdom, now you want me to raise a fire-breathing menace?”
“It wouldn’t breathe fire immediately,” Malleus assured.
“That is not the part I am concerned about.”
Silver, who had been quiet this whole time, actually seemed to be considering it.
You kicked his shin under the table.
He cleared his throat. “I think we should wait.”
Malleus sighed. Lilia just patted your back. “You’ll change your mind.”
Not likely.
But at night? It was just you and Silver.
After a long day of chaos and laughter, you’d collapse onto your shared bed, immediately melting into Silver’s embrace.
He kissed your forehead, soft, lingering. “Tired?”
You sighed happily, nuzzling into his warmth. “Mm. Just happy.”
His arms tightened around you, like he never wanted to let go.
And this was your life now.
Your old country was probably in flames, but who cared? You had love, friendship, and peace.
Silver smiled at you, soft and content. And you thought, Yup. This is it.
Thank my best friend for writing this ridiculous, insane novel.
Who do you wanna see next?

i want you all to understand this.
insulin pens are very often used by diabetic children (or their parents, but they were very easy to use during the short time i was prescribed them when i was a child myself). they’re less cumbersome, produce less waste, and are far easier than pulling insulin from a vial with a single use syringe, as syringes are much more susceptible to air bubbles, which result in the diabetic not getting enough medication. i’m explaining this part because i know that some diabetic adults do also use them, and i’m sure that that’s true of diabetic adults in palestine with such scarce resources. when it’s life or death, you can’t really be picky.
the israeli occupation is now banning insulin pens from entering gaza.
lack of insulin results in diabetic ketoacidosis — essentially a very, very dangerous version of the effects of the keto diet. insulin is a key for the sugar from one’s food (both slow and fast acting, since all food has some carbohydrates, from nuts to potatoes to table sugar) to get from their bloodstream into their cells. without insulin, the body resorts to eating through its own fat stores rather than the sugar it cannot access and tries to flush the excess glucose that is in the blood through the urine. this results in weight loss, headaches, nausea, dehydration, blurred vision, abdominal pain, impaired mental faculties, and, if left untreated, will result in a coma, and eventually death within a matter of weeks. not “can.” it will kill you if not treated, and was largely considered a lethal diagnosis until insulin was discovered in the early 1900s and made readily available in 1922.
i’ve been in dka. admittedly, i was very young and have blocked much of it out. but i do remember that it fucking sucked. i couldn’t focus on anything, i was ravenous no matter how much i ate, and the room spinning to the point i felt like i was going to throw up became an increasingly regular occurrence. i was seven years old and wasting away like i was starved. i was dying. a few more days, and i likely would’ve gone into a coma and might not be here now.
to inflict that, willingly and knowingly, on innocent people, is nothing short of a crime against humanity, and violates the geneva conventions (item 2.a.ii. torture or inhumane treatment, including biological experiments and item 2.a.iii. willfully causing great suffering or serious injury to body or health). not that the israeli occupation cares, of course, as south african prosecutors have already extensively detailed their crimes in the icj, and this one in particular has already been committed near-countless times.
this entire occupation is a genocide, and this is only one more nail in that coffin. but, as a diabetic — as a human being who has been in that state and was lucky enough to have the resources to live almost another fifteen years (with the anniversary of my own diagnosis about halfway through next month), i can’t find the words to express my disgust and rage anymore. maybe it’s selfish to be so deeply impacted by this particular blow. i don’t know. but these people have done nothing wrong but be disabled in gaza, and as someone with the same disability, i know that no one deserves this, even if they have committed a crime (which, again, these civilians, largely children, have not). i will not fucking stand for it.
we need a ceasefire. we need an end to the occupation. we need a free palestine. now.
here’s a masterpost of how you can help.
EDIT: here’s a post on how to help diabetics in gaza specifically

My Sweet Intruder (Sleepwalking Love)
I wanted crack but also fluff, this was the creation. Enjoy!
~
Tim had recently bought a new place to live near a college since he decided to continue his education, the apartment was on the nicer side of things and even though he had gotten it for his civilian life it still had some security on par with his night life safe homes.
All of this to say that it would be hard for someone to break in and even more so to not be noticed.
Which is pretty what he thinks is going on.
Someone is breaking into his house when he's not there which frankly is not that often to begin with since he's so busy with all kinds of things.
But the intruder doesn't seem to be causing harm?
There's nothing damaged or stolen just some food sometimes.
Honestly the complete opposite of what you would expect from an intruder, his apartment was cleaned things were moved around the kitchen was stocked with fresh food and ready meals.
Honestly it took him this long to know something was wrong because he had originally thought it was one of his brothers coming by and helping out or something.
But no after some investigating it wasn't anyone in the family it wasn't even his friends or someone else he knew someone who would make sense as to why this was happening.
Also there appeared to be living there considering all the things appearing around his apartment making a home for themselves that were very much not his.
But the Intruder since he had no name for them was ..considerate?
Almost sweet in a creepy way if you think about it.
His apartment was cleaned he had meals ready for him to eat and a bunch of other small things that combined were making his life easier.
He would like to know who this intruder was but his surveillance and all other tech always died out when it seemed they were there, so no video proof and they always were gone before he could catch a glimpse of even their shadow.
~
Danny was having such a good time, he was honestly a bit worried about moving to Gotham for college especially since apparently his application to live in the dorms had somehow not been processed or something and they only bothered to tell him while he was already there.
Thankfully luck was on his side because only a few hours after that incident while inside a coffee shop stressing about what to do and venting to his sister on the phone a man sitting next to him who looked like he needed a mini coma of sleep and looked kinda high overheard him and offered to be roommates with him since he was also going to the same college.
So yes things were going wonderfully, he had a place to live where he didn't even have to pay rent, and Tim was such a good roommate, he barely saw him but when he did he usually was more asleep then awake.
~
Tim after a while: "Why are there so many spaced themed objects in my apartment?"
~
Tim inviting Danny to live with him
Danny 'What's Stranger Danger?' Fenton: "Bet"
~
Tim: "How do they keep getting past all my security measures?!*pulling his hair out*
Danny using the key sleepwalking Tim gave him: "Home sweet home!"
~
Tim trying his best to catch Danny in person:
Tim sleeptalking:"One day I'll catch him"
Danny who is used to Tim sleep talking and sleep walking helping him get back to bed for the umpteenth time: "You sure will boo!"
~
Danny being grateful that Tim is letting him live there without having to pay rent and gave him a credit card to pay for things: "He's so sweet guys!"
Sam & Tucker: " Dude..is he your sugar daddy?! "
Danny: *shocked Pikachu face* "But there's no sugar involved?"
~
Danny thinking that maybe they are in a relationship just taking it very slowly because Tim's shy
~
Also Danny's love language being acts of service
Tim's love language is coincidentally also acts of service
~
Tim slowly falls in love with Danny still not knowing who he is: "I think I have issues"
Danny still thinking they're in a relationship and that Tim is just super shy: "Maybe we could hold hands soon!" *sappy smile*
~
Tim:
Danny:
~
What a story it will be when someone asks them how they got together! (◠‿・)—☆

On a Wing and a Prayer
Part 1 - Innocence
My weekly helping of hurt with no comfort. Enjoy. CW: dead dove don't eat, torture, suicidal thoughts. poly 141 x reader who is accused of being a traitor... you know the drill.
Previous parts - masterlist - next
It hurts. There’s two types of pain.
The physical pain, the sting of your lungs as a cloth is placed over your mouth and water is poured over your face.
The burn as your lungs beg for a beak in the relentless cycle. If you could speak you would beg them to stop.
They won't listen, you know that. Maybe that makes it worse.
Maybe that makes it harder to understand why they would do this to you.
‘What’s your connection to Makarov?’ It's John. He always asks the questions. Gesturing at Simon to give you a break so you can answer.
That's the second type of pain. You’re innocent, they don't know that. Right now you’re guilty in their eyes. The mental torture-your friends, your lovers, whatever you want to call them- they’re hurting you. And they’re not going to stop until they’re satisfied.
That's never going to happen because they don't know yet.
They don't know you’re innocent.
‘I have no connection to Makarov,’ you say between breaths.
They don't know you’re innocent.
You can't blame them, they’re doing their job. For queen and country.
The rag is pressed back over your nose and mouth and more water is poured over it.
You can't breathe, they won’t let you.
Simon…
Simon who has held you in his arms letting you pour your heart out to him is there, his hands around your face making sure you suffer.
Making sure you live.
Suffering is not enough, you need to live.
They need you to live…
Kyle watches from the window. He refused to participate. He got a bollocking from Price. This is messy work.
They keep you updated on Johnny's condition. Almost like that's supposed to change your mind.
‘He’s in a coma, fighting for his life because of you!’ John snaps.
Nothing you say can change their mind. No amount of begging or pleading.
You tried to keep it together. You didn't last long. John and Simon know what they’re doing.
The rag is removed from your face again.
‘How did Makarov know about the raid?’ John's voice is harsh, angry, loud and commanding.
‘I don't know.’ you say. It's the truth, it's not you. You would never hurt them.
They don't believe you.
Why should they believe you?
You don’t know what evidence they have against you. Not that they would tell you, they’re keeping that information close to their chest.
They want to break you first.
You don’t stand a chance.
You don’t know how many days it’s been. Maybe that’s the worst. Physiological torture, is sometimes more effective then physical torture. They keep going for what feels like hours, until you’re vomiting back up the water that escaped down your throat.
That’s when they stop, leaving the room in silence, your stomach raw, your body shivering. At least you’re alone now. That’s when you cry, pray, whatever you want. You get a few hours of loneliness before they start again.
How could they do this, the people you love?
Then you remember the shot ripping through Johnny’s chest. The screaming, the blood. The crack of his ribs under your hands as you pumped on his chest trying to keep him alive.
Then the confusion. The data, the plans, Makarov knew everything, and according to all the evidence that was your fault.
No, you know how they could do this. Because in their eyes you’re a traitor. In their eyes you might as well have shot Johnny yourself.
Maybe that would have been better, then at least they would have given you a quick death.
next Hey, I kind of hate this trope but I do love writing it! IMO 141 would never just jump straight to torture of someone they loved without irrefutable evidence... Its fantasy though and that's what I love about fanfics! Banners by firefly-graphics

day 6/7
summary: part 6 of the naive series!! mandy and martin get back together in the worst way possible but it’s okay because you and hamzah get to have some fun of your own…
contains: SFW and NSFW content ;-)
w/c: 2.8k-ish
~
It's awkward. You know that. Hamzah knows that. The mosquito buzzing by your ear knows that. You only hope Mandy knows that she scarred you for life.
"In my defense, I thought you would come back a lot later," she says.
You stare at her blankly. Martin hasn't made eye contact with you since last night. Hamzah's sat next to you, completely checked out of the conversation and scrolling on his phone. If you could click your heels three times and teleport home, you would.
"So you could fuck in my bed for several more hours?" you seethe.
"It's a hotel bed! It's not even yours!" Martin argues.
"It's a bed that I was supposed to sleep in!" You feel like you're about to pop a blood vessel. "Why didn't you just do it in your suite?!"
"It was a spur of the moment thing," Mandy says, walking over to sit next to you. "We were just going to talk. I didn't plan for it!"
Hamzah looks up from his phone and raises his eyebrows at the familiar words. You roll your eyes and turn to Mandy before he can see the red rush to your face.
"But hey, we aren't fighting anymore," Martin points out, scooping more sand over his pale chest.
He's been working on burying himself in the sand for the past hour since you and Hamzah joined them on the beach. You're grateful for that fact.
After being unpleasantly surprised by the sight of him in his birthday suit upon entering your hotel room, even a single glance at his body reminds you of the unholy vision. You and Hamzah had returned from your day on the town after eating out (ahem) and wanted a peaceful place to recover from your food comas. The couple seemed to have other ideas. You did a 180 and left without a single word.
"I don't even know what to say to you right now," you tell Martin without looking in his direction. "Mandy, why? Just why?"
"I'm sorry," she says, but there's a smile on her face that makes you scowl. "It's a little funny!"
"No, it's not!" you cry out. "Every time I shut my eyes I get a flashback to Martin's pasty asscheeks!"
"Hey!" Martin shouts. "Mandy loves these pasty a—"
"Shut up," you and Mandy say at the same time, albeit your tone is a little more hostile.
"At least you get to sleep in Hamzah's room from now on," Mandy whispers to you. You pinch her and she squeals. "I basically did you a favor!"
"You only have to do me a favor because you did some shit in the first place!"
"Guys, calm down," Hamzah says, waving his hand between you and Mandy, "we'll just get the sheets changed. It's not that big of a deal."
"So you're on their side?" you question him.
"Oh my god," Martin groans.
"Okay, if you're that disgusted, we'll get you a new room," Hamzah offers.
"They're all booked for the season," you grumble. "I checked last night after... the incident."
"And there's no way I'd pay for that," Martin says. You glare at the side of his head.
"When I said 'make up and make out' I didn't mean it literally," you tell Mandy. "I can't believe this."
"So dramatic," Hamzah teases. "C'mere."
He wraps his arm around your shoulders and even though you're upset, you don't move away. It helps you to cool off, but you can't stop your brain from wishing the clouds would part and smite the couple down in that moment. You lean closer into Hamzah's embrace and take a sip of your cocktail, avoiding Mandy's inquisitive stare.
You don't even know why you're so distressed by this whole thing, it should be a net positive that Mandy and Martin made amends. Plus, you had such a great time prior to the event, you shouldn't let it ruin your mood. It really isn't as big of a deal as you're making it out to be. Something about it rubs you the wrong way, though.
"Okay, I have one last question." Your words make the group groan and you shush them. "If I didn't walk in on you, were you going to tell me about my bed?"
The couple's silence speaks volumes.
"You fucking freaks!" you nearly scream. Hamzah flinches away from your voice and coughs into his fist to poorly disguise his laughter. "Ew! Ew-uh! What the fuck!?"
"We didn't even think that far," Mandy laughs out, "I'm sorry!"
"I hate you."
Since there isn't much to do on the beach but lie around and day drink with the two people you currently despise most, you and Hamzah decide on going someplace else. Nearing the end of a trip is usually draining, but with him it's like every minute counts for something more and that gives you the strength to push through your desire for self-isolation.
"We could get frozen yogurt?"
You shake your head.
"Go to an aquarium?"
You shake your head again.
"Do our laundry?"
"For real?" You scrunch your face in disapproval.
"I don't know what you want from me," Hamzah says, squeezing your hand tighter. "We're in a foreign place and we're bored as hell. You try to give me some ideas."
As you walk further up the street, swinging your hand in his, you spot an interesting store in your peripheral vision.
"Hamzah," you say, pointing. "We need to go."
He looks up and scoffs. "Are you 12? We're not going in there."
"Why would a 12-year-old be in a sex shop?" you joke and pull him along. "It'll be goofy and silly. Please."
"This is so stupid," he says, but ultimately obliges.
The two of you walk in and are instantly greeted by a wall of monstrous dildos. You bite your lip to not laugh out loud at Hamzah's disgruntled reaction and drag him over to an idle worker, all while he's quietly protesting your mischief.
"Please don't," he mumbles, much too late.
"Hi," you greet the worker cheerily. "My boyfriend and I would like to know some of your recommendations for starter toys."
Hamzah blushes beet red and you grin deviously.
"Sure, follow me," she replies, leading you to the back of the store.
You feast your eyes on the seemingly never-ending array of degeneracy. It reminds you of walking into the back of a Spencer's when you were in middle school, only so much more serious. This is top notch stuff. You find yourself actually becoming intrigued.
"Here we have our bestseller," the worker says, taking a toy from the shelf and presenting it to you. "This is a bullet vibrator. Great for travel."
You hum, nodding your head. Hamzah's hand is a dead weight in yours as he looks between the ceiling or his shoes, avoiding eye contact with the multitude of phalluses surrounding him.
"This here is another great pick," she says, showing you a glass dildo. "Simple, but satisfying. Comes with your choice in any of our flavored lubes."
"Ooh," you exaggerate. Hamzah makes a grunting noise and it takes all of you to keep from bursting out laughing. "Do you have anything that's more for... him?"
"Ah, yes, of course."
The worker turns to unlock a display case in the corner and brings a little rubber toy out. Hamzah rubs his eyes like he's trying to awaken from a nightmare.
"This is very popular with the tourists," she says, handing it over to you. "Press this button."
You do as she says and the cock ring not only lights up, but also starts wriggling in your hand. It tickles your palm and you giggle, reaching over to press it to Hamzah's arm to catch his attention. He jumps as if he's shocked by an electric current.
"I'm sorry," he apologizes to the worker, pinching the toy between his fingers and hastily dropping it back in the display. "I just realized I'm perfectly capable of pleasing my girlfriend on my own. Goodbye."
With that, he tugs on your hand and nearly sprints to the exit. You cackle while he makes you cross the street to get as far from the store as possible.
"It could've been worse," you tell Hamzah as he slides the key card to his door. "She didn't even get to the sex swings."
"Please shut up," he says, tired of your bullshit.
He still holds the door open for you, even though you've been messing with him all day. You walk into the room and place your shopping bags down. You had convinced Hamzah to window-shop after your little stunt, but you couldn't help yourself. You ended up buying some knickknacks and cute postcards for your family and friends back home.
"Do you mind if I take a shower in here?" you ask him, taking your shoes off.
"You're really not going back to your room?"
"You wanna get rid of me that fast?" You dramatically fall back on his bed. "I thought what we had was special."
Hamzah walks over to you and holds himself above you at arms length.
"I didn't exactly agree to the whole 'boyfriend' thing," he quips.
You pull him forward by his collar and smile. "Then why'd you call me your girlfriend?"
His eyes hone in on your lips. "I was just playing along."
"Really?" you question, placing your hand on his cheek. "And how far are you willing to play along for?"
You move up and capture his lips in a kiss. He responds eagerly, like you knew he would. His hand grips your waist and you quietly moan into the kiss, trying to rile him up. He takes the bait, pressing his body to yours and pulling the both of you further up the bed. When your head comes in contact with the pillows, you roll him over and sit in his lap to grind your hips. He tries to touch you and you stop him, holding him down by his arms. He could easily overpower you, but he stays pinned down, staring up at you with his big doe eyes.
"I don't think people who aren't really girlfriend-boyfriend should do this kind of thing..." you trail off.
You climb off the bed and walk straight to the bathroom, tossing your shirt off before closing the door behind you. You hear some shuffling outside as you strip and step under the shower head. You begin to lather some hotel body wash in your hands right when the door opens. Through the fogged glass, you see Hamzah taking his clothes off, but you pretend not to take notice as you rub the suds all over your body.
Hamzah steps into the shower behind you. You close your eyes to step under the shower head and wash the soap off, still paying him no attention. When you bend over to grab the shampoo, you feel his hands trail up your thighs and settle on your hips.
You turn with the bottle in your hands. "Do you mind?"
"Nope," he says.
He takes the bottle from you and pours some into his palm before placing it back. You watch his face as he reaches up to massage your scalp with the shampoo. He's concentrating hard, but the contact is gentle as he takes extra care of not tangling your hair. It's cute, but it would be cuter if you didn't feel him growing against your thigh.
"Does shampooing usually give you a boner?" you ask.
"Yeah, always," he replies sarcastically.
You giggle and close your eyes, enjoying the salon experience. When he's done, he moves you under the water and dips your head back to rinse your hair. You switch places with him after teaching him how to apply conditioner and grab the body wash again, but for him this time. He sighs as you massage his shoulders with the soap and you spread the rest down his torso. Your hands trace the curvature of his pecs and waist, taking a little too much time with each section just to feel him. When your touch begin to descend, he places his hands on your hips and pulls you forward. You sharply inhale as his dick prods your lower belly.
He leans in to kiss you, making you completely forget about your task and wrap your arms around his shoulders. His tongue finds yours and you feverishly return his advances, running your fingers through his soaked curls to smooth them out of his face. When his hand reaches down your back to cup your ass, you moan and lift your leg to wrap it around his hip. His other hand does the same and he carries you to push you against the shower wall. His erection nudges your center and you thrust forward, desperate for any friction. He teases his tip through your folds and against your clit.
"Be my girlfriend," Hamzah whispers, in between leaving open mouthed kisses on your décolletage.
You toss your head to the side, too overwhelmed to even respond. He continues his actions, feeding off your pleasure. You grip the back of his neck and bring his mouth back to yours.
"Be my boyfriend," you mumble against his lips.
You reach between your slick bodies and pump his shaft a few times, your foreheads pressed together as you watch his eyelids flutter from the sensation. Lining him up, you feel him gradually enter you. Both of you breathe heavily and as soon as you get used to his size, you buck your hips. Moans fall from your lips like water droplets, echoing against the bathroom tiles as he begins to thrust into you faster and faster. You clutch his shoulders and he buries his face in your neck, his groans vibrating against your wet skin.
Letting go of one of your legs, Hamzah kneads your tit, pinching your nipple then soothing it with the pad of his thumb. You whimper and stand on your tippy toes as he pounds into you, trying your best not to buckle from the feeling. His lips suck on the side of your throat, sure to leave marks in the places he lingers. You dig your heel into his lower back, wanting—no, needing to feel all of him.
When you start clenching around him, he glides his hand down your front and rubs circles on your clit. You gasp out breaths, digging your nails into his back.
"Feel good, baby?" he pants in your ear, his hips crashing into yours with each word. "Tell me."
"Yes, Hamzah, yes," you sob. "Harder, please!"
He complies, the wet slapping getting louder between you. Your eyes screw shut as white heat fills your veins from your head to your toes and all you can do is moan haphazardly. He's in a similar state, his voice breaking as curses fly from his lips. He fucks you through your climax, holding out as long as he can while he flicks his hand relentlessly. Once you’re completely spent, he pulls out with a groan and cums all over your stomach and thighs. You raise a trembling hand to stroke him until he finishes and his moans steadily fade out.
Your chests rise and fall as you attempt to catch your breaths. Hamzah lightly kisses up your neck, still holding you against the wall as the both of you recover. You bring your other leg back down to the ground and lean your weight on him.
Pushing him under the shower head, you watch the way his curls slowly shrink back into place.
“Shampoo,” you breathe out.
Hamzah hands you the bottle and watches as you return the favor for him.
“Put your head down, please,” you request. “I’m too shaky.”
He laughs silently but does as you say. Your fingernails graze his scalp and he makes little noises of approval.
“Body wash me,” you say.
“Do I have to?”
“Yeah.” You bring his head up to make eye contact. “Boyfriend-ly duties.”
The two of you leave the shower after a couple more minutes of teasing and fondling. Hamzah wraps a towel around you and you plug the blow dryer in as he grabs one for himself. He’s about to leave the bathroom when you call him back.
“C’mon,” you say, beckoning him to the mirror. “You don’t style your hair?”
You grab a tiny dollop of conditioner and run it through his curls.
“I usually just let it air dry.”
“That’s fine, but you should always moisturize.”
“Every time?” he asks like it’s an unfathomable chore.
“From now on, yeah.” You scrunch some of the strands. “Can’t have my boyfriend looking crazy.”
“You’re really loving that title, huh?” he teases.
“Am I not supposed to?” you ask, washing your hands in the sink and looking at him through the steamy mirror. “If I knew how simple it was to get that title, I would’ve fucked you a lot sooner.”
Hamzah chokes on his spit.

and if i say i don't think suho and sieun are soulmates. if i say that they found each other DESPITE the universe trying to tear them apart because the universe only gave them forty days before suho went into a coma. the universe had sieun move further away and gave him new friends, had him build a life untethered, without suho in it. sieun had the physical and emotional distance he needed to move on if he wanted and by the end of s2, he also has the maturity and peace that if he had chosen to, if he had let the universe have its way, he could have decided that suho was his past. he could've believed his friends when they said it wasn't his fault, focused on his future, and moved on.
but sieun says fuck the universe.
he visits suho in his hospital room and pours out his heart in text messages suho might never read. he dreams of him, sees him in his new friends, thinks of his voice and his words to give himself courage when he faces enemies that are far stronger than the kids at byuksan ever were. he NEVER forgets him. always, suho-ya, when will you wake up? suho-ya i'm sorry i fought again.
suho-yah. i'm still waiting.
the universe sends him a phone call telling him suho's holding on by a thread, a truck which doesn't brake in time, puts sieun in a coma, and still sieun says no. i have to go back to suho. he wakes up, and suho's name is the first word from his mouth, he drags himself to suho's room in his own hospital gown and apologises for being late because it's not a question of whether he'll come back to him. there will always be a next visit.
and then finally the fighting is over. finally sieun is at moderate levels of peace, and he still visits. he's still waiting, still thinking of him, a stubborn, immovable object. and the universe, the tired old universe, goes:
fine. you win.
suho and sieun aren't soulmates who were always meant to be, they're two, ferociously loyal kids who love each other so much they were willing to fight tooth and nail to stay in each other's lives no matter WHAT the universe had to say about it. there's no red string of fate tying them together, no predestined meeting or beautiful twist of fate, just their own, blood-soaked hands reaching for each other and stubbornly refusing to let go. they slip, they stumble and fall, but the other is always just a few steps ahead, waiting.
not soulmates. the universe didn't decide they would be together. they did.

The Ghost That Lingers In The Nighttime: Charlie Reid x Reader
Tagging:@kmc1989 @littleesilvia @wrestlequeen @ahopelessromanticwritersworld @beebeechaos
Summary: Charlie's becoming accustomed to the late night visits.
Companion piece to:
Risk Management - Charlie realises the two of you have been keeping secrets from one another.
Deals With The Devil - Charlie's fall from grace starts with an act of love.

After visiting hours, when the ward is dark and the corridors empty, Charlie sits with you. He listens to the rhythmic huff of the ventilator, watches the arcs of the heart monitor and he holds your hand squeezing tightly because he knows keep down in his soul that you can feel him there.
Between the hours of 10pm-1am is your time. He dedicates three hours of his day to being propped up in a plastic chair that makes his ass numb and his lower back ache, reading to you.
At first he starts with the Tribune but the damn rag is so morose that he doesn’t blame you for staying in that coma. Instead he starts picking up the books from the shelves in your apartment. He’s been dropping by every couple of days to water your plants, sometimes he takes a nap on your bed because it’s the only place he can sleep without the nightmares. For a brief moment of time, being there amongst your things makes him feel whole again, like he isn’t waiting for the other half of his heart to finally wake up.
“Because you are going to wake up aren’t you honey?” He whispers as he reaches out to brush your hair behind your ear. “You aren’t going to leave me here all alone. You wouldn’t do that to me.”
That is his biggest fear, that you vanish from this world, that you leave him broken and ravaged to face this place without you.
The worst part, he finds of being in a relationship with you is this part, the helplessness. The knowledge that it won’t be him they call if something goes bad, that he doesn’t get a say in the medical decisions, that he doesn’t get to learn the ins and outs of the procedures. Every bite of information he gets is second hand, it either comes from the night shift nurse he’s befriended or down the CPD grapevine. He's not included in your care plan, he’s just the dumbfuck who has to stand up at a press conference and tell the world how sorry they are this has happened to you.
Hell, he only learned about the attempt on your life because an emergency departmental meeting that was called about the optics. He wasn’t even aware there had been an officer involved shooting because he’d had OCD conducting a series of raids across the city that afternoon which had required a blackout across comms.
If he was officially your partner they would have called him immediately. He’d be able to turn up at the hospital during visiting hours, bring you flowers, console your family. He’d be a formidable presence in your life, someone who advocated for you, who vocalised your wishes. As it stands, he’s none of those things, just a ghost that lingers in the nighttime.
Bullshit like that, it’s something you’re going to have to talk about when this whole thing is behind you, because Charlie he can’t go through this again and he certainly doesn’t want you to go through it. He couldn’t stand the thought of you standing at the edge of his grave site in your dress blues, mourning the man you love but toasting to your superior. If something happens to him he wants you to be the recipient of his benefits, he wants you to get all the things that you deserve for putting up with his shit.
He sighs before he returns to the book he’s set down on the secure cupboard next to your bed, the one with all the get well cards resting on it. It’s a cowboy romance, Bourbon and Lies, you’d gotten into the genre after the two of you watched Yellowstone together. Eating popcorn on his couch during Sunday evenings was the highlight of his entire week. He can see the appeal of the reading material as he reads out some of the spicier scenes with a flush in his cheeks.
It's one thing talking dirty to you in bed, it’s another getting a hard on while he’s trying to read a love story at your hospital bedside.
“Oh honey, I can see where you got the idea about the whiskey from now.” He says when he’s reading the sequel out to you. “That was one of the most memorable fucking nights of my life.”
You licking it off his skin. The duality of the ice from his glass and the heat of the bourbon bringing him right to the pinnacle of release before he blew his load in your mouth. That was the first evening he spent with you, he knew he could never go back after that.
He groans when the alarm on his phone goes off. He would stay here all night if he could but he needs to grab a shower and a couple of hours of sleep before he’s out on the street again, pulling apart the entire infrastructure of The First Nationals, the gang who put the hit out on you. He’d got the shooter but he wants the shot caller, the guy who had the audacity to put a green light on you. Charlie had sent the pictures of his handiwork with Franz to the asshole from a burner phone with the words ‘I’m coming for you’. The son of a bitch has been in the wind ever since.
He raises to his feet, his thumb tracing over the apple of your cheek as he looks down at you in that hospital bed. The longer you remain unconscious the less likely it is that you’ll come back to him, the nurse had told him last night. He leans over the bed, his lips brushing over your forehead before his grizzled cheek presses against yours.
“Wake up for me today ok?” He whispers into your ear. “I don’t know how to live without you anymore.”

A Moment Of Forever -C.hs ₊˚⊹ᰔ
A Moment of Forever -C.HS
Seungcheol walked over to Vernon as he leaned against the wall of the practice room, watching you with a soft smile on his face. You were crouched down on the floor, your focus entirely on Hyeri, Seungcheol’s baby girl.
“ hi hyung,” the younger one said.
“hi vern,” in less than a minute he started going on about something important for the comeback that Vernon was NOT listening to.
“Vernon.Vernon. Are you even listening to me?”
“huh, sorry hyung. just distracted.” his lovesick eyes giving away exactly what he was distracted by.
the leader looked in your direction only to see how sweet and tender you were being with his daughter. he sighed.
“you know what, I’ll leave you to it. i was like this with minji too , yk before she um. you know.” his eyes blurred with tears and he walked away, every step becoming heavier. Minji had slipped into a coma when hyeri was born. 2 years. 2 entire years without her. Vernon thinks he could never live that long without you. As much as Vernon felt sorry for cheol. he was greatful that he could approach you now.
You had a way of getting the tiny bundle of joy to giggle that melted Vernon’s heart. Every time Hyeri turned her little head and squealed at your silly faces, Vernon felt something stir deep inside him.
“oh y/nie, you’re such a natural with her,” he called out, affectionately using your nickname, his heart racing slightly.
You looked up, your eyes brightening.
“awwh, thanks baby.” you said a small blush spreading a cross your cheeks, now avoiding his gaze.“
I just love being with her. Isn’t she the cutest?” Your hand gently patted Hyeri’s back as the baby cooed happily.
Vernon couldn’t help himself as he moved closer, watching you with adoration. In that moment, you looked so incredibly wife-able, your nurturing side shining brightly, and it sent butterflies fluttering in his stomach—a sensation he wasn’t accustomed to feeling. Usually reserved and reluctant to initiate physical contact, he found himself moving closer, wanting to be a part of your world.
He slid his arm around your waist, pulling you slightly closer. “You know, every time I see you like this, it just makes me… I can’t explain it,” he murmured, leaning in to place a peck on your cheek. “You look amazing, my love.”
You turned to him, blushing even more. “Vern, you’re making me all shy!” Your voice was laced with laughter, but your heart raced at the affectionate displays.
But Vernon wasn't done. He leaned in again, capturing your lips briefly. It was a moment filled with unspoken affection and yearning. Each kiss was more intense, an exploration of emotions he’d kept bottled up.
“baby… I’m so lucky to have you,” he whispered softly, his breath warm against your skin, and he stole another kiss, deeper this time.
The air was thick with a newfound passion, and Vernon’s heart raced. He knew he had to act on the whirlwind of emotions swirling in him. The proposal he'd planned for you felt like it couldn’t wait another day.
The next morning, he woke up early, his mind racing with anticipation. He had arranged everything perfectly for your day at the beach—a place laden with memories of laughter and warmth. He not only wanted to see you again but also hoped to share a life with you.
As you arrived, the salty air brushed against your skin, and you beamed up at him. “This place is beautiful, Vern!” you exclaimed, tying your hair back. All your friends staring at you like they were all sharing a secret you weren’t a part of. Seungcheol looked you softly, you had helped him find Minji, the love of his life.
“Just like you, princess,” he replied, his eyes sparkling. He held your hand as you walked along the shoreline, feeling the warmth of the sand beneath your feet.
After some fun in the sun, Vernon stopped, taking a deep breath as he prepared himself. His heart raced, and he felt the wave of nerves wash over him. “Y/N,” he started, his voice steady yet soft, “there’s something I need to tell you.”
You turned, tilting your head sweetly, “What is it, baby?”
“I’ve been thinking about how incredible you are—especially yesterday, watching you take care of Hyeri. Just seeing you with her… it made me realize how much I want us to experience that together. I can’t wait to have our own little family one day,” he confessed.
Your breath caught in your throat, your eyes widening. Before you could respond, Vernon knelt down on one knee, pulling out a small velvet box from his pocket. “Y/N, will you marry me?”
Tears pricked at the corners of your eyes as you looked down at him. He looked so earnest and hopeful, and in that moment, every fear and doubt vanished.
“Yes! Yes, of course!” you exclaimed, your voice choked with emotion. He slipped the ring onto your finger, standing up to capture you in his arms.
“Princess, I promise to cherish every moment with you. You truly are the love of my life,” he whispered, sealing his promise with a kiss.
At that moment, there was a ring. The leader pulled his phone out. It was the hospital.
“ Hello Mr. Choi. We are glad to inform you that Mrs. Choi is now fully concious.”
Happy tears began to rush down both you and seungcheol’s face, his wife and your best friend. She would be able to be there on the day of Vernon’s proposal. This truly was the best day of your life.
As you and your FIANCÉ ( still crazy to you) embraced, the warmth of the sun and the sound of waves crashing seemed to echo your newfound future. In that moment, you both knew that this chapter was just the beginning of a beautiful love story, filled with laughter, adventure, and a family of your own.
Bonus:
“Mrs Chwe,” Hanson called lovingly.
The biggest smile spread across your face.
“ HANSOL,” you playfully smacked his arm. “ stop calling me that, i look like a MADWOMAN. “ you really did , your face all red and your smile so wide almost kinda psychopathic.
“ you look beautiful, you always do”
The End.
OMG VERNON HAD SUCH A CHOKEHOLD ON ME GIYS. I tried please show some love i worked hard in this.

being popes wife while he’s in prison means the most world shattering sex when he gets out he is not gonna stop for HOURS you really would just have to let him get it out of his system and fuck you into a coma
this actually made me like almost faint i'm not even kidding. i'm just gonna set aside the internal worry i have that nothing i write for him makes any sense or is out of character and just write about this for a minute thank you -> i wrote this like a week ago and never answered and look how far we've come so i'm gonna post it because this is the anon that started it all!!!! wherever you are thank you!!
in my perfect little world he would go to his old apartment first, before going to the house. you, his perfect little wife, would be the devoted type who came to visit him once a week, once every two weeks if you really had to. it's a really long drive but it was always worth it to you. the type who without fail asks his family if anyone wants to come with you this week. in my little au i would make her a nurse who works three on, four off and she uses those four to go visit pope, sometimes staying overnight in some hotel and then visiting again the next day before she drives home. as much as it means to pope that you would drive so long to see him week after week, i don't think he would like it. he would think it's too dangerous for you to drive eight hours by yourself, that it's dangerous to visit him when there's so many leering, unbelieving eyes that this is the wife that pope's been hiding back at home. and i think he wouldn't want you to see him like this, even though you're just moping at home, that this is the part of each week you look forward to. i don't know, maybe even after a year of marriage before he got arrested and the time you've been going to visit him, pope can't process that there is someone in his life who loves him this much. that he's not a burden, that you're not scared, that you do all of this willingly just to see him and hold his hand for a couple of hours, that you're always in tears when it's time for you to go home, that you answer his calls immediately, even if you're at work.
so you can imagine the kind of loyalty he has to you, since he's seen firsthand the kind of love you have for him. so when he gets parole, he doesn't tell you about it. doesn't want to get your hopes up like he did last time, and then he had to break the news to you over the phone and listen to you cry for the rest of the allotted time, and go back to his cell with the realization that you're still at home crying and there's nothing he can do to help you. so he keeps it quiet, drives himself home with the windows rolled down so he can hear the ocean again, thinking about the face you'll make when he's in front of you again. and fuck if it doesn't live up to every expectation he's had in his head for the last three years. the way you look in the comfort of your shared home, not just dressed up for him inside the barren prison. you're probably doing something that's part of your routine, the one he's had memorized since the two of you got together, cleaning up from breakfast and baking something since it's saturday.
you freeze when you hear the door open. pope's brothers usually tell you if they're swinging by, but they normally never come around unless they need you to stitch one of them up or something. you don't think they had any jobs planned for today, but then again, you could be wrong. but it's not loud enough to be them, you'd hear cursing and shouting and screaming if it was. a little stupidly, you step out of the kitchen towards the front door, without so much as a weapon to defend yourself. but you have this hope, that one day your husband will walk through those doors again like you haven't been living alone for the last three years.
today is the day your wish came true. and he does love your expression, wants to memorize it so it can never truly leave his mind. but what's better is when the two of you get into bed because he has no intentions of getting out of bed, because he has a lot to make up for. three missed birthdays—yours and his, three wedding anniversaries (and three other anniversaries, the first day you two met). all the times he should have been there for you when you had a bad day at work or got anxious around his family or needed him there, like when your car wouldn't start or the breaker short-circuited and the power went out. i've talked enough about pope and wifey's sex life, but same as the show, he goes to smurf's house after. someone asks him where you are. "i'll bring her by tomorrow. she couldn't walk."

i've been thinking about Tim's 16th birthday, and had an idea, what if after that disaster Tim realizes he couldn't handle another birthday like that, so on his next birthday he decides to try making his own party, he invites his friends from YJ, rents a place outside of gotham and just completely ignores everything that comes from the Batfamily that day. And it ends up being the best birthday of his life, and so he decides to keep doing it, and it continues going well, until a couple of years later when Dick realizes he never celebrated Tim's birthday, so he decides to give Tim a surprise party. Surprisingly everyone of the batfamily gets together to make the party, and they think they managed to hide it from Tim, only despite the fact that his last few birthday parties were amazing Tim still has a lot of paranoia near his birthday, so as soon as he noticed the family was planning something on his birthday he left Gotham a week before his birthday. No one noticed until the day of Tim's 21st birthday, when Dick tried to find Tim, only to get an automated message saying that Tim's not working today because of his birthday, also that message was always on Tim's birthday ever since he first decided to truly celebrate it, only that was the first time Dick saw it because he never sent a message to Tim on his birthday. Later the batfamily discovers that Tim had a party without even mentioning it to them and get angry because they put a lot of effort on a party for Tim, while he didn't even want them on his birthday. Up to you how Tim responds to that.
I love exploring Tim's 16th birthday trauma. I'm going to tweak your idea slightly, if you don't mind. I myself hate celebrating my birthday, so imma be biased :) Let's go!
Warning: This is an AU, so obviously a lot of details aren't gonna be canon accurate.
Tim's birthdays have always been a hit or miss for him [If you want extra trauma, y'all could make the Flying Grayson show a birthday gift/celebration for Tim. Can be the weekend before, after, or directly on his birthday... Just for fun :D]. Before Tim became Robin, his parents... tried. They tried to be home, to celebrate, to be there. More often than not, they were too busy to actually be present. In those cases, if the connection allowed, they would call Tim.
His parents believed the gifts they gave him, the money they spent on him, made up for them not being there. This is when Tim started to have a complicated relationship with gift giving.
This was the case until Tim's fourteenth birthday.
Tim asked Bruce to become Robin at thirteen, but didn't actually hit the streets until he was fourteen. Obviously, a grieving Bruce didn't celebrate Tim's birthday with him, particularly because Tim wasn't Robin.
For Tim's fourteenth birthday, imma present you with two options:
His parents actually managed to come home and this is the last birthday he gets to spend with his mom
Tim was training in Europe over his fourteenth birthday and thus he was the one to tell his parents they can't celebrate with him
For Tim's fifteenth birthday, his dad is in a coma and his mom is dead. He's also a temporary ward with Bruce. Thus, he gets a fantastic and normal birthday for once. It goes far better than his previous one, giving him hope for future birthdays.
Then the 16th birthday happens.
After this, Tim doesn't trust Bruce and Alfred. Dick, Barbara, Steph, and YJ didn't know about it, so he still tentatively trusts them.
To add extra trauma, let's say Tim's 17th birthday occurs during the BruceQuest :)
Now, for Tim's 18th birthday, he's an adult. He has rocky relationships with his family, and he knows how to engineer distractions/excuses to avoid celebrating his birthday with the Waynes. Usually, he has "missions" with his friends that are really fun adventures or vacations.
He used to leave Gotham two weeks in advance, but, after his eighteenth, nineteenth, and twentieth birthdays, he calms down. He isn't expecting The 16th to happen again.
[To flesh out some of his other relationships (and feel free to regard as you please), let's say that Cass gets invited to the nineteenth and twentieth.
Steph (after Tim and Steph fix their relationship with one another) gets invited to the twentieth.
Jason and Tim both share a dislike for birthdays or presents, so they usually just send each other some text message phrased as an insult ("Seems you actually survived another year. Would you look at that?") and a cheap gift (a pack of cigarettes for Jason and a pack of Zesti for Tim).
Barbara and Tim send each other puzzles/challenges for each others' birthdays. Maybe Duke is the same way too.
Dick goes out with Tim *after* Tim returns to Gotham post-Birthday (if you want a trying/good brother Dick)
Tim does not accept gifts from Bruce nor Alfred. Alfred will instead make Tim's favorite meal and leave it in his apartment for when he returns. Bruce, on the other hand, feels immense guilt over it and only sends Tim a happy birthday text and money.]
But... Then, for Tim's 21st birthday, he notices his family planning shit. His ass immediately flees town and doesn't return for an entire month, just in case.
The Waynes are pissed at him, particularly the ones who don't know about the 16th. I think Cass probably told them not to plan anything and went with Tim when the Waynes continued their plans despite her warning.
Anyways, if anyone actually yells at Tim that they "put a lot of effort into that party for Tim," I hope he crashes out and yells at them for getting upset without even asking him what he wants. All of this could have been avoided if even one of them had asked him about his plans for his birthday and how he likes to celebrate.

🎁 Day 1 ‒ All I want for Christmas (is you)

Synopsis: It’s been several long, dark months since John got shot by Makarov and dealing with the aftermath of that would have truly been nothing but gruesome if it wasn’t for the one constant ray of sunshine who refuses to be pushed or send away.

Word count: 4.1k
↳ back to 🎅🏼 Masterlist ☃️
John used to love Christmas season; back when he wasn’t stuck in a military hospital, alone and crippled. Back when he was still able to spend it at home with family or, hell, even in the field dodging bullets and grenades with his comrades.
This year, though, he can’t seem to be able to escape it, no matter what he does. The bloody Christmas spirit is being shoved down his throat and pushed into his grumpy mug wherever he looks, wherever he tries to hobble away on his crutches with his bad leg.
Every hallway, every door and every goddamn window is decorated excessively and there’s Christmas music playing everywhere, whether it’s the classics or some bullshit cover.
It’s almost cruel, John thinks, trying to sugar-coat a place like this while most of its clientele would probably rather die than continue to suffer through the misery they find themselves in.
John certainly finds himself wanting to simply end it all more often than usual nowadays.
No, he really doesn’t feel like celebrating.
His head aches terribly today, one of those post-traumatic headaches again, and he’s sure his skull will detonate the next time he’s forced to listen to Mariah Carey’s Christmas hymn from hell, so he keeps to his private hospital room and refuses to leave it tonight.
The chipper nurses on duty this evening, wearing their corny Christmas sweaters and silly little Santa hats, have already brought him his meds along with the poor excuse of a "Christmas feast dinner", though he can’t really complain about the latter; John has eaten much worse grub in his military days.
Now, he’s all by himself, staring at the ceiling and twiddling thumbs in his dimly lit room – too clinical and sterile to be considered homely, though he’s been moved from a normal hospital room to one in the rehabilitation ward for his permanent residency two months ago.
The silence is only broken by the muffled sounds of the nurse’s chatter and jolly cackles and soft Christmas music coming through his room door from the reception desk down the hallway.
And when that sudden familiar wave of loneliness and realization crashes over him, suffocating and gut-wrenching as usual though somehow worse than all the times before, there’s a small part of him that he couldn’t kill yet that yearns for your sheer presence in this moment.
Feisty, smartass, cheeky, terribly witty and beautiful you, who’s been refusing to stay away from him since he woke up from that bloody coma after he got shot by that prick; no matter how annoying and rude he is towards you. No matter how many time he has straight up told you to piss off, to move on, and to live your bloody life without him in it, even if it kills him inside every time.
Even if the sheer thought of you with another man or simply moving on from a miserable bastard like him can shatter his heart into a million tiny pieces.
Yes, deep down, John is selfish when it comes to you, and his heart clenches painfully as his dark thoughts begin to spiral again; he groans when his head throbs with more waves of dull pain, even though he already took his painkillers.
“Fuuuck me.” He cusses under his breath, his voice raspy and low from lack of usage today, as he reaches for his bed gallows with his right arm to help himself sit up in his hospital bed.
Glancing at the digital clock on his nightstand to his right, the time reads 20:33 p.m., which means visiting hours are long over anyway, so – stop getting your fucking hopes up, MacTavish!
You’re most likely deployed, because war and terrorism don’t take holidays off, or perhaps you’re stuck on base on standby, but God, he prays you’re just at home; safe and sound for his sake. After all, it’s been weeks since he’s last seen you, days since your last phone call.
A sudden timid knock against his room door makes him flinch first and then groan internally next.
John can only assume which of the nurses it will be. Probably the elderly one, Mrs. Bishop, who can’t stop fussing over him as if he’s some incontinent toddler asking him if he wants some eggnog or some crap like that. He secretly appreciates it, though, but no one could ever make him admit that.
“Johnny?”
However, it’s your voice, your beautiful voice, which calls out to him from the other side of the door, and for a moment John seizes up on his bed, wondering if he’s finally lost his mind, because it certainly can’t–
“Johnny, can I come in?”
Another few soft knocks follow and John’s throat feels like sandpaper when he swallows thickly before answering in a hurry as if you’d simply disappear within seconds if he doesn’t manage to open his stupid mouth immediately.
“Aye!” He calls out hoarsely, grunting softly as he tries to sit up a little straighter while he runs a nervous hand through his short cropped hair to make himself look more presentable, “Ah, yes, lass!”
When the door to the room finally opens and you’re revealed, standing in the doorway with that familiar, cheeky grin of yours while the bright hallway light illuminates you from behind, John’s heart stutters in his chest, because fuckin’ hell, – you look like an angel.
Shutting the door behind you with a soft click, your pretty eyes seem to twinkle in the dim light of his room.
“Hello there, Sergeant. Sorry, ’m late.”
His chest heaves slowly with shallow breaths and he feels like pinching or treating himself to a knuckle sandwich, because this can’t be real. You cannot truly be here right now, standing at the end of his bloody hospital bed. This must be some cruel hallucination, some proof that he has lost his mind at last.
“Cat got your tongue, hm? Heh.”
John can only watch, shocked and awed, as you saunter further into his room, taking a nonchalant glance around while kicking your boots off, shrugging your winter coat off and placing the bag you’re carrying on an empty chair nearby, like it’s no big deal at all – like you’re not just turning his shitty world upside down right now.
“What’re ye doing?” John eventually manages to ask, more harshly than intended, but you don’t care about his sharp tone anyway.
“Getting more comfortable,” you reply casually, rolling your eyes in mock exasperation as you approach his hospital bed, “Duh.”
And John inhales sharply, nearly flinching away like you just threatened to skin him with a dull combat knife, and blinks at you with wide eyes when you start climbing onto the mattress with him.
“Ach, n-no, lass–“ He hisses, brows furrowing in annoyance at your disarming nonchalance and familiar dry sarcasm of yours.
In the past, John would’ve laughed about your behaviour; he would’ve actively encouraged you to be a pain in the ass, actually, but now? Now that he’s simply not good enough for you anymore.
“Fuckin' hell, lassie,” he grunts as he sits up and makes space for you on the mattress, because he doesn’t trust himself to be that close to you now.
“I meant… What’re ye doing here… right now? Ye- Ye should be home with yer bloody family and friends and–“ His voice fizzles out in a low grumble while he’s unable to even speak aloud what is on his mind, what has been plaguing him for months now, and what makes his chest clench so hard, it always takes his breath away.
…You should be with another man.
However, you simply blink up at him with your fecking doe-eyes, looking way too innocent for all the war atrocities he knows you’ve committed in the past along with him, already snuggled up, hogging the blanket like the gremlin you are; cold tips of your fingers, chilled by the winter breeze outside, brushing against his exposed biceps tentatively, and making him crumble internally like a badly piled up house of cards.
“How did ye even get in here, huh?! Visiting hours are long over.”
You pull the blanket up to your chest before you grab the remote of the TV from his nightstand, pointing it at the flat screen, though John knows that the batteries are dead and needed to be changed like yesterday.
Your answer is way too casual for his liking again and it makes him bristle like a dog, “Your fan girls let me in. Waved me straight through to your room, Johnny-boy; said you could use some cheering up.”
There is a moment of silence where John simply looks at your side profile, admires it… hates it – hates this helplessness that comes with yearning for you so badly that it feels like he’s being ripped apart from the inside out. His 5 o’clock shadowed jaw clenches and unclenches with simmering anger and hurt and frustration, calloused hands fisting the blanket until his knuckles turn white while he tries to keep himself from snapping at you, from reaching out and shaking some sense into your thick skull, from reaching out and hugging you tightly to his chest and never letting go.
His thoughts start spiralling, then. Memories of the past, of you, of his time serving, being part of the 141, the last night he’d shared with you before he got shot, before his possible future got destroyed with one bloody bullet–
“Johnny – don’t.”
Your voice rips into his spiral like a cambrel, digging in and stopping his thoughts from spinning as his blurry eyes focus again when the sudden chill of your palm on his shoulder seeps through his shirt and into his flushed skin, making him shudder.
“Hey, breathe with me, yeah? You’re hyperventilating again,” you coo at him softly, giving his shoulder a few firm squeezes and only then, John realizes that his chest feels tight, that he’s breathing ragged while his heartbeat thuds in his ears.
He’s teetering at the edge of a panic attack, has been for the whole day, and now you’re holding onto the rope that has him hanging at the edge of that cliff, pulling him back with graceful ease like you always do for a reason he doesn’t understand – doesn’t want to understand–
He just cannot understand how you could possibly still want him.
However, John nods regardless, looking at you with wide blue eyes, “A-Aye, lass, ‘m tryin’ to.”
“Atta boy,” you praise and John doesn’t fight it when you pull him into your embrace while you lay down on your back, practically draping his thinner yet still bulky form over your body.
His heart flutters, more relaxed now, as he exhales a long and deep sigh once his face is buried in your soft hoodie, right between your chest. He inhales your scent greedily, can feel your arms snake around his broad shoulders, brushing over his back, one hand coming to gently grip the nape of his neck while the other roams along his spine, nails scratching over his shirt and making his skin pebble with goose flesh underneath the fabric.
And he lays with you like this until you speak up again,
“For a spec ops soldier, you’re pretty daft if you think you can get rid of me that easy, y’know?”
Your voice is husky as you murmur into his ear and to John’s own bewilderment, he lets out a deep groan against your chest, warm breath seeping through your hoodie and making your stomach flutter with the sudden sensation.
He’s so touch-starved, he feels like he’s drowning and getting drunk on you at the same time, wrapped up in your tight embrace for the first time in what feels like way too fucking long.
“Ye shouldn’t be here, lassie. Not tonight anyways.” John retorts petulantly yet rubs his face against your hoodie and resisting the urge to claw his way into your whole being, too stubborn to accept your affection and care just yet, because you can do and deserve so much better than him, but please, – don’t leave me.
“I’m right where I fucking belong, MacTavish. Now, stop being a fucking brat.”
John’s shoulders shake with a gruff chuckle at your playful reprimand, the sound muffled with his face still buried in your hoodie, enjoying the closeness and new source of warmth. Reluctantly, he lifts his head, peeking up at you with one eye, his thick eyebrow raised mischievously. It’s like the tables between you two have turned and it’s strangely exciting.
Almost forgotten are the times when John had you pinned against the wall in some godforsaken safe house in God knows which country or bend over the armrest of the couch in the rec room, making out sloppily and pounding away into your eager cunt.
And then, John dares to speak the words that have driven him half-mad whenever you’d uttered them to him in the past with your pretty pursed lips and a defiant glare to die for:
“… Make me.”
In his state and out of training, John has no time to react before you’ve already pinned him on his back while the hospital bed creaks under the sudden movement and added weight of you two. He huffs and grits his teeth when his head throbs dully, but the sight of you shifting and the feeling of you nudging his thighs apart is enough to distract him from the all too familiar pain.
John grunts when your palms rub over his upper thighs, “What the hell are ye doing now!?”
“Taming that bratty ass of yours, what the fuck does it look like?”
When he tries to sit up again, you push your flat cold palm against his sternum, pushing him back into the pillows with a sharp “Stay!” and to his own dismay, the obedient little soldier in him obliges while his stomach flutters all too happily.
“Stop that,” he bemoans, furrowing his brows at you in a weak glare, though his cobalt blue eyes sparkle with mischief.
And then, when you genuinely laugh in his face, John can feel his neck flush with embarrassment; warmth spreading through his chest and covering his stubbly cheeks while his eyes flicker over your face, memorizing the sight of your bonnie face lighting up with your taunting giggles for when he will be alone again.
“What? I’m not even doing anything yet,” you retort with mock innocence as you descent further down to kneel between his parted thighs more comfortably.
John lets out a breathy groan when you grope and massage his sore legs, his head slumping back against his pillow, “Ye’re doin’ too much already.”
Too much and not enough at the same bloody time.
“Relax, Johnny,” you coo at him sweetly, already tugging down his sweatpants along with his underwear to reveal his rapidly hardening dick, “How long has it been since someone played with your cock, hm? You look like you’re gonna cum when I so much as blow air on it, Sergeant.”
John clenches his jaw and huffs, nostrils flaring with annoyance and chagrin, when he lifts his head to glare down at you while you flutter your eyelashes tauntingly at him, and goddamn does his cock twitch joyfully in turn. You know exactly how long it’s been; you’re the only one, the last one who has touched him. The only one he accepts and wants.
His voice is strained, veins protruding in his neck when he replies, “Ye’re a right arsehole.”
“Shhh,” you shush him, smirking and enjoying the way his whole body jerks when his cock springs free eventually, it’s meaty weight slapping against his lower abdomen with a lewd smack where his shirt has ridden up, exposing his dark happy trail up to the coarse hair covering his chest.
“Still the prettiest cock I’ve ever seen, Sergeant. Fuck.”
Your praise and taunts, and the way you keep calling him by his former rank go straight to his head; warming his body down to his toes and making his balls ache with the pressure to release.
“Suck it if ye think it’s that bonnie.”
You snort, shooting him a playful glare as you poke your tongue into your cheek, and John knows that look, knows that you’re pondering the best way to punish him and it makes his heart race with excitement and anticipation. He knows he cannot possibly be making any demands right now; he’s already floating on cloud nine by your sheer presence alone.
And yet, he lifts an eyebrow challengingly, non-verbally asking you Well?, and in this moment, it almost feels like nothing has ever changed.
His breath stutters in his chest, eyes going comically wide, when you grasp his thick shaft suddenly and lean forward to let a generous glob of spit drop from your tongue right onto his flushed tip. It’s the hottest thing he’s seen since the last time he was able to take you reversed cowgirl to watch your ass cheeks bounce while his cock disappeared into your dripping cunt.
John’s head tilts back, body going taut as he props himself up on his elbows, “O-Oh Steamin’ Jesus – f-fuck!“
You chuckle lowly, licking your lips hungrily before you chide him, “Be quiet or the nurses might hear us. They told me to be nice to you and am I not being so nice to you right now, Johnny-boy?”
It only takes three, four slow and firm pumps of your fist from root to tip to have John leaking pre-cum like a faucet; his balls tightening at the stimulation as his cock is finally, finally touched by you after weeks of neglect. Leaving him no time to adjust, you start stroking him faster, twisting your wrist deliciously as you go up and down his cock; swiping your thumb over his sensitive tip teasingly until his legs are trembling and writhing on the mattress.
His hips buck into your hand around his length, his toes curling as the familiar heat starts blossoming at the base of his spine already, so he tries to focus on your other hand as it squeezes his upper thigh while your nails dig into his skin, leaving a sharp sting.
“Please, I’m… ‘m gonna – ah! – gonna cum, hen.”
You lean forward, eyes twinkling with affection and mischief as your free hand glides over his stomach, over the soft bit of pudge right below his naval that has been developing since he was forced to stop working out, though you don’t seem to mind as you caress him lovingly and continue to jerk him off skilfully, your voice but a gentle purr as you coax him on,
“Do it, baby. I’m right here to catch ya.”
John screws his eyes shut, his hands grabbing at the blanket and the hospital bed’s metal frame; knuckles whitening with the effort not to bust all over you like some inexperienced virgin, but oh god, he’s weak and sad and you’re being so so good to him, too good, in fact. He’s trying not to fall into a hole of self-loathing again, he knows he’d go limp in your hand if he’d let his mind wander now; teetering at the edge of coming too hard or not at all again.
“Hey, stop that,” you chastise him eventually, bringing him right back to reality when you pinch his belly and give his cockhead a squeeze that has him gasping, “Stop overthinking.”
How do you know? How can you still read him so effortlessly?
John whines and it’s a sound he’s most likely never made before. He can see your face light up with pure adoration, but he thinks himself utterly pathetic.
“Johnny… I love you. I got your six… always.”
Your soft-spoken, almost desperate declaration paired with the salacious, slick sounds of your soft hand pumping his throbbing cock faster, are his undoing at last, and his climax hits him like a sledgehammer to the chest, knocking the air right out his lungs while his spine arches and his eyes roll back so far that his vision goes black momentarily.
Forgotten are his headache and those dark thoughts plaguing him while John paints his stomach white, makes a mess on his rucked up shirt and spills over your knuckles with each tight throb of his thick cock. He’s left quaking and trembling, breathing raggedly while muttering Scottish curses under his breath, trying to gather his bearings.
“F-Fuck… fuck, fuck–“
His gaze flickers down, half-lidded and hazy blue eyes meeting yours, shining brightly with fluttering lashes while your hand keeps stroking and caressing his softening, twitching length adoringly.
“C’mere,” John beckons hoarsely, patting his chest invitingly, “Come up here. Right now.”
He reaches for your elbow as you sit up on your knees, looking for something to clean up with, but John is impatient and desperate, and he tugs on your arm with urgency, shaking his head.
“We’ve made worse messes before. Come. Here.” He repeats, more sternly, though he adds a soft “Please” for good measure.
Once his sated cock is tucked away into his briefs again and most of his cum is wiped away with some tissues, you crawl up his body, lying down next to him while John does his best to roll onto his side to face you.
His hand comes up to cup the side of your beautiful face and he allows himself to simply look at you for a moment before he feels his emotions taking over and his throat tightens painfully as he begins to choke up.
“I meant it,” you speak softly before he can get any words out, cupping your own hand over his still resting on your face, “I love you and I hate that you don’t believe me, that you think you don’t deserve it anymore, because of what happened to you.”
John swallows thickly as he processes your raw admission, eyes welling up with tears as the weight of his doubts and insecurities is slowly lifted off his shoulders.
“I need you.” He admits and his voice is cracking already, so he swallows hard again and takes a deep breath to gather the much needed courage to speak his next words,
“I can’t do this and I know – I know it’s fuckin’ selfish, but I can’t – I don’t want to live without ye, hen,” he rambles, shaky breaths catching and stuttering as he spills his heart out to you,
“I love ye, too. So fuckin’ much it hurts.“
And then, you lunge forward, closing the short distance between his face and yours to crash your lips together in a deep, meaningful kiss. John moans in relief, eyelids fluttering shut as he parts his lips all too willingly to welcome your warm tongue in.
It’s been way too long since he felt your lips on his, tasted your essence, and enjoyed your touch and company.
Now, John feels like he’s coming up for air after months of drowning in darkness, like he could take on the world and become his old self again as long as you’re with him on this journey.
His heart flutters violently when your fingers rake through his hair, not quite his signature Mohawk anymore but buzzed short, and his breath hitches when you’re extra mindful of the healing scar on his temple. Then, you grasp the nape of his neck to pull him closer, noses bumping together sweetly as you two try to coordinate and get back into the rhythm you two had perfected before everything really went to shit for the first time.
After a long, necessary moment, you and he pull back simultaneously, breathing heavy with raw kissed lips and his cock chuffing back to life inside his briefs.
“No matter what, we’ll get through this together.”
A moment of silence passes as he lies with you, facing each other in the dim light of his hospital room, and there is so much more John wants to say and promise, speak of plans of the future he hopes he will be sharing with you, but then, he simply nods obediently.
The genuine smile you flash him is breathtakingly beautiful and John’s arm curls even tighter around your waist, tucking you closer against his chest to make sure you’re real, that you won’t leave.
“Merry Christmas, Johnny.”

Pt. 2 of Imagine… Soshiro Hoshina Finding You on the Brink of Death
Angst, Fluff
Soshiro Hoshina x gn!reader
Warnings: mentions of hospital setting/devices
You can find the all angst ridden part 1 here!
One week.
That was how long it had been since Soshiro had seen your alluring (e/c) eyes, heard your infectious laugh, blushed at your gentlest smile reserved just for him. The past 7 days of you in a coma after almost becoming a kaiju meal had been devastating for him and the rest of your teammates. You had many visitors over the hours you lied completely still on your hospital bed, but you weren’t the only unmoving person in your room. Soshiro had rarely moved an inch from your side, only getting up to go to the bathroom. He couldn’t remove himself from his seat next to your fragile body in case you woke up; he couldn’t bear the thought of you being alone in such a vulnerable state anyway.
“They’re under the best care here, Hoshina. Go get some rest,” Captain Ashiro had told him on day 3, when Soshiro was sporting dark circles under his eyes from lack of sleep. He respectfully refused, and Mina knew better than to fight with him right now—he was as stubborn as he was talented with his swords. Every time the nurses came in to check your vitals, they looked upon him and his sad state of being with sorrow, feeling awful to see the man in such despair. They had taken it upon themselves to deliver meals for him since they all knew he wasn’t leaving to eat. Even if most of the time the tray sat untouched, they took it as a win when a pudding or fruit cup disappeared.
Day 5 was the hardest for Soshiro. By that point, he was delirious from staying up practically all night in case you needed something. His typed reports stopped making sense, his brain nowhere near as sharp as usual due to the fog of grief that had settled in his mind. The steady beeps of your life support machine haunted his every waking moment, a perfect symphony of the anguish he couldn’t escape. Thankfully, Kafka had heard about his vice captain’s condition and visited that night, offering to take over Soshiro’s watch in case you woke up. Soshiro was extremely reluctant at first, but he knew that you and Hibino were close; he also trusted the kind hearted man enough to know he’d be there for you in case something happened. With strong hesitation, Soshiro left your sight for the first time in 96 hours, heading to the shower. No matter how hard he scrubbed, he couldn’t wash away the feelings of guilt he harbored over your injuries.
If only I was faster, stronger… I could’ve been there sooner. Stopped the kaiju from ever sinking its disgusting teeth into you. What kind of vice captain am I? What kind of… person am I? How could I ever expect them to love me back if I can’t succeed in my one job of protecting them?
He let his tears fall freely, mixing in with the water from the shower head.
Day 7 was the point where Soshiro was just… there. He barely felt anything anymore, whether it was exhaustion, anguish, or anything else. He sat next to you like normal, gazing at your chest as it sank and rose with shallow breaths, but his eyes were glazed over in a manner reminiscent of a man without hope. The doctors didn’t have an estimated time for you to wake up. With injuries as extensive as yours, there was no telling when your body would be ready to start running on its own again. Soshiro didn’t know how to process that news; he liked seeing tangible results, and the fact that you had been hooked up to all these damn machines for so long and nothing had changed? It was pure torture to him. He found himself inching closer to you, if that were even possible, and he took hold of your hand with the softest of touches.
“I miss ya, y/n,” he whispered, bringing your hand to his lips. He was careful to not disrupt the IV as he laid a gentle kiss on your cold skin, savoring the sensation of doing what had wanted to do since he first met you all those years ago.
“Remember the promise we made to each other when we were young and dumb? Now we’re old and dumb,” he chuckled humorlessly, “and you still have to keep up your end of the bargain. You have to survive. I can’t lose you.”
He took in a deep, shaky breath. “I can’t lose you because I’m in love with you.”
It was like the world was playing a cruel joke on him—he finally garnered the courage to admit he had fallen in love, but the object of his affections wasn’t able to hear it. He let his head hang in misery as he kept your hand close to his face, eventually placing it against his cheek. He closed his eyes, wishing with all his might that you would wake up. If you died… he wouldn’t know how to move on from such a devastating blow. He knew this macabre scenario had a high probability of happening in this career field you two chose, but he always had faith in his and your abilities to stay alive. To say that faith had been shaken was the understatement of the century.
“Y/n, please. I can’t do this alone. I need ya back with me. You gotta keep fighting.”
Soshiro went to place your hand back on the bed when he swore he felt your fingers move against his own. His eyes widened in surprise as his heart started slamming against his rib cage. Was that real or just his imagination?
It happened again.
And your eyes opened.
He slammed on the call button, informing the nurses of your awakening before turning his attention back to you.
“So-soshiro,” you tried to say, but your throat couldn’t form any words.
“Shh, don’t say anything, darling, I’m right here. Always have been, always will be.”
A grin swirled with anxiety and relief was present on his lips as he looked at you.
After a few hours of tests, doctors checking up on you, and small moments to collect your thoughts, you were finally able to form coherent sentences.
“You sat here the whole time? Now I feel bad,” you said, a small frown gracing your features.
“Don’t feel bad. I didn’t want you to be alone, that’s all,” Soshiro told you, nervously scratching at the back of his neck. “Did you… happen to hear anything I was saying before you woke up?”
“What, like how we’re old and dumb and that you’re in love with me?” you said, trying your best not to laugh at his shocked expression.
“Huh? You actually did hear me? I thought that only happened in movies!” he whined, his cheeks tinged with red.
“No reason to be embarrassed, Soshiro. I didn’t know how to tell you but I’m in love with you, too. I have been for a very long time.”
Soshiro was looking upon you like you had descended directly from the heavens, his eyes gleaming with unbridled joy as his fingertips danced over your arm, tracing shapes in an intimate, comforting manner.
“I‘ve been so worried about ya, sweetheart, but now that you’re back with me, it’s like I can breathe again.”
You relished in the calm quiet of the room, basking in Soshiro’s loving presence. He was exactly the driving force behind you willing your body to wake up. You could never leave him to walk this world alone.
“I also felt you kissing my hand,” you said after a long bout of silence. “That was very sweet of you.”
“Guess all I had to do was give ya true love’s kiss to wake up?” he joked, his little fangs peeking out of his lazy grin.
“I’m looking forward to my real kiss when I get out of the hospital,” you replied, attempting to wink at him.
He leaned his face over yours, his breath leaving goosebumps in its wake. “If you want, I can give you a preview of it right now.”
You felt your pulse quicken and apparently so did the heart rate monitor you were hooked up to; the machine started beeping, alerting that your numbers were abnormal.
Soshiro kissed your forehead before sitting down again, smirking. “Do I make ya nervous?”
Now it was your turn to blush. “Watch it Hoshina, or I’ll have you admitted into the bed next to me.”
Soshiro burst out in his trademark laugh, grabbing at his stomach and wiping away the tears forming in his eyes. You could be given all the medicine known to man but nothing could make you feel better than the promise of being loved by the easily amused violet haired man who will never leave your side.

i'm coming home to you (every night)
(I have a very firm theory on where 816 will go and ofc had to write it.)
Evan wakes up in the hospital, still on a ventilator. He’s already attempting to vocalize, trying to tell anyone available to listen about the god-awful nightmare he’s just woken up from. He’d thought his first coma dream had been bad after the lightning strike, but somehow, it couldn’t even compare to the version of events he’s just woken from. A world without Bobby in his first coma dream had been terrible, but somehow, the idea of a world in which he was able to have Bobby and then lost him after the cartel had set fire to his home feels even worse.
He tries to make noise again, his brow furrowing at the vibration of the tube in his throat irritating him enough to fill him with at least half a dozen questions.
“Fuck, you’re awake.”
Evan’s gaze trails up as he looks next to him where the voice had come from and sees Tommy. His eyes soften at the pilot. For the two times he’s now seen Tommy look devastated, there’s something entirely different about the way he looks today. Maybe it’s the fear, but the redness around his eyes makes it clear that he hasn’t been doing well. The bags beneath them suggest he hasn’t been sleeping either, and Evan wants to ask questions about that as well, but his current predicament is preventing that.
Tommy brushes the back of his fingers over the side of Evan’s cheek, and the younger man leans into it, lifting his hand up to Tommy’s and interlacing their fingers.
He doesn’t remember everything from the last time he was awake, but he’s pretty clear on the last thing Tommy said to him.
“I need to get the doctor,” Tommy tells him, sniffling. More tears are coming down his face, but the small smile on his face suggests that they’re probably of relief. Evan squeezes his fingers tighter and his smile grows a bit. “I know, baby. I’ll be right back. Stay awake for me, okay?”
Evan nods, letting go of Tommy’s hand. The pilot crosses the room and opens the door, only to return a few seconds later, tailed by a physician, Maddie, and Chimney.
“Thank God,” Maddie states tearfully. She’s wearing a mask and gloves, which is mildly concerning to Evan, but her bump is a quick reminder to the fact that she’s pregnant and it’s not just her at risk of any room she enters.
He points at her as he looks up at the doctor, his brow furrowed in confusion.
“We’re just taking extra precautions,” Chimney explains.
“There’s no reason to assume that you’re still contagious,” Tommy adds.
The physician that accompanied into them into the room does a quick check of Evan’s vitals and the various machines he’s attached to before opening his chart on the tablet in his hands.
“You’re doing much better than you have been, Mr. Buckley,” the man explains. “Your oxygen saturation was pretty low when you came in, and we’re working on weaning you off the ventilator as your sats have continued to rise back up. We should have it out in the next day or so.”
Evan nods at the man before his attention is back on Tommy and Maddie. When she reaches the side of his bed, he rests his hand over her stomach, feeling the firm pressure of his nephew’s kicking. His fever dream nightmare hadn’t just had Bobby dying in the housefire. It was also a version of the world where the woman who kidnapped Maddie got away with her actions due to Athena’s inability to deal with losing Bobby.
“How’s his fever,” Maddie asks as the doctor runs the temporal thermometer across his forehead. It takes a few seconds, but the machine beeps and he lifts it.
“Still hovering just under 102, but it’s a marked improvement even from earlier today,” the man answers.
“But the half-life of the virus-..”
“Was about twenty-four hours,” he answers her. “He stopped being contagious before he got here.”
Maddie, Tommy, and Chimney all nod at the doctor’s explanation, and he turns back toward his tablet. He makes notes in it and then promises to have regular check-ins before leaving the room. Tommy settles into the chair beside him while Maddie squeezes the hand still resting over her stomach lightly.
“We were worried about you,” she tells Evan. He looks up at her with sad eyes, wanting to tell her that she shouldn’t worry—that it’s not good for the baby—but he knows it wouldn’t do any good.
Evan turns his head toward Tommy and then looks back at his sister, using his free hand to point at the pilot. Maddie snorts.
“I tried. He refused to leave,” she comments. Evan looks back at the pilot, scowling at him.
“Evan, you literally passed out in my arms,” Tommy tells him, his voice gruff. “I wasn’t-….I couldn’t.”
There are so many responses to the end of that statement that he knows the pilot isn’t saying. Couldn’t leave you behind. Couldn’t be without you. Couldn’t let ‘I love you’ be the last thing said between us.
He lifts his free hand to Tommy’s cheek, staring up at him as the pilot looks back at him. He brushes his thumb against Tommy’s lips, vaguely aware of the fact that their helipad kiss could’ve put the pilot at risk after he’d spent an entire day trying to survive hijackers with a live virus in his helicopter. All of Athena’s work could’ve been for nothing.
The pilot stares back at him, his eyes shiny with tears unshed—maybe tears he’s too exhausted to give at this point—but there’s a knowing between the two of them as Evan stares at him. Tommy turns his head and kisses Evan’s palm as the younger man blinks wearily at him, clearly starting to fight keeping his eyes open.
“Baby you’re out of the woods, but you’re still very sick,” the pilot murmurs as he leans forward toward the bed, resting his arms on the edge of it. “Please rest.” Evan’s thumb moves against his cheek as he stares back at the pilot, only having his gaze to communicate begging the other man to do the same. Tommy just smiles wearily at him.
Eventually, Evan’s eyes slip shut, and they don’t open again.
“Buckaroo, you need to stay calm,” Athena says from beside him as they wait by the elevator to the helipad. “Raising your heart rate is only going to make the infection spread faster.”
He knows that. He’s well aware of the fact that whatever these people managed to smuggle out of CalTech’s labs and somehow infect him with on a timeline; that if he’s not careful, he could expire before Tommy and Bobby bring the antidote to save him.
Still, Tommy and Bobby risked their lives to get this antidote. They’re still risking their lives by trying to stop those involved from creating a full-on outbreak of another pandemic, and he just… he needs Tommy to know.
The helicopter grows closer—close enough that he can practically feel the whipping from the rotor blades in his bones as it lowers down, until the helicopter is finally down on the helipad, and then the machine is whirring down as Tommy turns it off.
When he and Bobby finally emerge from the bird, all bets are off. He takes off in their direction, and by the time he and Tommy reach each other in the middle, the pilot’s arms are already ready for him, quickly wrapping around him as Evan’s go tight around his neck.
“I’m sorry,” he mutters into Tommy’s neck. “I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean it. I never meant it.”
“I know,” Tommy murmurs into his ear, holding him closely. “I’m sorry, too. I should’ve stayed, both times. I should’ve-..”
“I love you,” Evan says, leaning back enough to look at Tommy as he cradles the pilot’s head in his hands. “I love you so much. I’ve loved you for so long now, I just-..”
“I know,” Tommy tells him, brushing a hand down his face. “I love you too, baby.” His gaze skates down Evan’s face and then back up to his eyes. “But baby, you’re so warm. We need to get you inside.”
“I know,” Evan answers, feeling the bone-tired weariness in his bones as the words leave his mouth. “I just- I needed to tell you. I needed you to know.”
Tommy nods quickly, still staring down at him. “I do. I do know.” Evan pulls him into a kiss, and the pilot doesn’t stop him, kissing him back, though they both keep their mouths closed. When they part, Tommy’s eyes are on him again. “I’ve loved you since that first night in your kitchen. I’ve- Evan. Evan?!”
. . . . .
He wakes up coughing. Monitors beep out-of-sync, loud and erratically as people funnel into the room. He’s still only half-awake and his vision is blurry at best as doctors talk to him. It all happens so quickly that one minute he’s choking, and the next, the breathing tube is out as he sucks down gulps of air as an oxygen mask is fitted over his face.
There’s more talking, and then doctors are leaving the room, and he finally becomes aware of his surroundings again as Tommy perches on the edge of the bed, looking down at him as his fingers brush across Evan’s cheek. He looks as though he’s gotten some sleep as well, if his eyes are anything to go by, although Evan doesn’t think that the chair beside his bed is the best option.
He takes a few seconds to remember the feeling of saliva in his mouth, inhaling and exhaling in deep breaths still as he looks up at Tommy.
“I shouldn’t have kissed you,” he rasps when he finds his words.
“What do you mean,” Tommy asks, still staring down at him.
“Could’ve killed you,” Evan answers, bringing his hand up against Tommy’s on his cheek. “The infection-..”
“Had run its course by the time we saw each other again,” Tommy answers. “I was fine.”
“Are you sure?” Evan asks.
Tommy nods.
“I had a nightmare fever dream,” Evan states. “Bobby died in the fire. We broke up sooner and Gerrard still ended up at the 118 again. Eddie still left. Maddie died.”
Tommy frowns at him. “That sounds awful.”
“It was,” Evan murmurs. “Bobby-..”
“Bobby’s taking some vacation days right now, but he’s been up here keeping vigil,” Tommy tells him. “He worries a lot about you.” There’s a wistful smile on his face, and Evan can’t help but be reminded of their conversation a year ago when Tommy had mentioned the jealousy of their relationship.
“I’m glad you weren’t alone,” Evan tells him. Tommy’s gaze flits back up to his eyes and he shakes his head as a small laugh escapes him.
“I wasn’t. There wasn’t a single moment I was here alone,” he states. If anything, I was reminded that it’s not just your crew.”
The corner of Evan’s mouth pulls up at his words.
“Our crew,” he murmurs back.
“Always around when things go wrong,” Tommy adds. Evan nods. “Especially when things go wrong.”
The younger man closes his eyes briefly, and Tommy’s fingers brush through his hair in a way he usually only does after sex, and it always puts Evan to sleep. He huffs after a minute and opens his eyes.
“Don’t wanna sleep right now,” he murmurs. “Wanna…wanna know what’s next.”
Tommy inhales a breath, raising his eyebrows slightly. “Well, first you get better, and then you go home and get better some more.”
“And then,” Evan asks.
“And then we take it a day at a time,” Tommy replies. “We lay it all out on the table, and see where that takes us.”
Evan nods. He closes his eyes again and focuses on breathing for another minute. When he speaks again, his eyes are still closed.
“Said I didn’t know what I was ready for last year,” he murmurs. “But I do know now, and I still think that it could be with you, if you’re willing.”
He opens his eyes, feels them getting heavy again, but he’s determined to see Tommy when the pilot answers.
The older man smiles down at him, his fingers brushing through Evan’s curls again.
“I’m more than interested,” he responds softly. “But for now I just want you to focus on getting better. Think you can do that for me?”
Evan nods, lets his eyes slide shut again. He turns into Tommy’s hand once more, sighing softly when the pilot rests it against his cheek again.
“I love you, Tommy,” he says, hardly above a whisper.
Light fades around him, and then warm lips press into his temple.
“I love you too, Evan Buckley,” Tommy whispers next to his ear. “So much more than I ever thought possible.”

SYNOPSIS. a old memory surfaces
the rolling of the wheel of the lighter ignited a small flame then it dies down. there's a few clicking before it produces a fire and suguru watched in a bored manner. following the lighter's fire touched the tip of the cigarette and then followed by a smoke. the brunnete inhales before exhaling the smoke. humming as she glances at his friends. impatient from the looks of it.
years of being friends with these two and one could say she's used to the duo's shenanigans and yet, it was still fucking unbelievable how these two creates trouble and her taking the brunt of it. the memory of you unmoving while being connected to machines still replays in her mind.
“god forbid you two for existing.” shoko started. taking a puff from her cigarette. the stick between her slender fingers glowing brightly. “strong words, sho.” suguru commented. “what we did do for you to say that?” satoru grumbles. chewing the candy he was eating out of his frustration. it's not like for shoko to say things like that knowing that she leaves them do whatever it pleases them.
“you know damn well.” shoko flicks the cigarette. the ashes dancing before it disappears in the wind before putting the cigarette in her lips.
suguru then took a puff of his smoke and sighs. he knows where this conversation is going. “what happened to her, sho?” taking the sight of the lawn below him while he leans on the railing of their frat house. satoru who was earlier grumbling stops and listened to what shoko have to say about you.
“she overdosed and was in coma for two days, you idiots.” shoko revealed them and satoru was the first to say something about it. “overdosed?” he let out a laugh. disbelief painted on his face.
“and how we are involved in this?” suguru raises a brow at her and shoko remains looking in the front. not sparing a glance to the two idiots besides her. “do i really need to tell you two? you were all over her since last semester and for all i know is both of you are fucking her! literally and figuratively. you sick fucks!” shoko without blinking tell them. never they did see shoko to be so worked up.
“calm down shoko. we're just playing with her and we didn't know that she'll end up there. maybe, she was experimenting.” fixing his glasses as he explained to shoko but she was having none of it and the cigarette burns faster as she took a long deep breath from it.
“we thought she was tipsy that night. we didn't know she done it.” suguru added.
“i can't believe you two! and seriously experimenting? what the fuck is that thinking, satoru! and you suguru, of all people! i thought you were the empathetic one. you left her to die, you fucking assholes!” shoko said enraged. throwing her cigarette in anger and pulling another one. struggling to light the goddamn lighter. geto grabs the lighter from her. it smoothly lights as he clicks the lighter and shoko lights her cigarette. “i just can't believe you two were capable of that.” shoko sighs, rubbing a tense spot in her head. she got a headache and two literal headaches as her friends.
fuck, how did that happen. you were fine and maybe you were a little tipsy when they left you and it was nothing serious about it. you were being stubborn that night and how the fuck did you end up overdosing yourself. he just can't believe it.
suguru looks at shoko. the dark circles below her eyes got darker than it was. late hours shifts as an intern does this to her and he thinks about you. he kept an eye to you that night and he only takes his eyes off you for a second and you already put yourself in trouble and maybe that's the reason you got dragged to him and satoru. he stares at his friend. handsome he may look but this one could be a pain in the ass. entitled and a spoiled brat. that's what makes them a perfect pair despite their differences. he can ground satoru but when it comes to you. they're both in line in each other's whims.
“is she okay, sho?” satoru asks.
“she'll live.”
“is she still in there?”
shoko scoffs. “what you two going to send her a get-well-soon card after endangering her?” the sarcasm hits and satoru winces. “and to answer your question. she transferred hospitals and don't know where and even i know, i won't tell you both. it's best for her to be away from you two.” finishing her cigarette and then tucks her hands in her pockets. she walks away but stops.
“fair warning you two, it will bite back.” she says and left without looking back.
that was years ago. they tried to find you and it always pointed them in a dead end. can't say they're a changed men now but they did mature and the damage they had done to you was the worst thing.
satoru sits in his chair. it was two years now since it was passed to him. he's the heir after all and now ceo. suguru is still out there and sometimes would visit. have his own business ventures to attend too and is now, engaged to his fiancé whom his father had arranged. sometimes, he thinks about you. were things to be different around here if you were here and it looks like his prayer was answered.
you came walking through his doors.
