Santi +/x AuDHD!reader headcanons

(could be platonic or romantic - but written as not co-habiting)

Author’s note: maybe this is too niche, idk, but sometimes I like to think about the blorbos and how they’d interact with an AuDHD reader (because that’s me, so for obvious reasons). I headcanon that Santi is particularly compatible with a neurodivergent reader, maybe because I’m being self-indulgent… but also because why on earth would he not be? So here are a few poorly written / cobbled together thoughts which have been rattling around in my brain.

PLEASE NOTE: These are written in as general a way as I could manage (which may make it slightly less fulfilling, sorry, as it’s therefore lost specificity) but please note: since everyone who is AuDHD is so completely and vastly different, I couldn’t possibly have made this “fit” everyone’s experiences. Sorry if there are things you don’t relate to, but I tried to include a few more common experiences in there so hopefully there’s at least something.

Also! If you have any hcs of your own (for any Oscar/Pedro characters) PLEASE share them because I want more ND!reader content out there! 😀🧡 (Will also consider ND!reader requests if you have them, provided I think I can do it justice!)

Warnings: brief mention of panic attacks / anxiety (Santi). Geared towards ways that Santi helps reader out - that’s where my head was at, so it is what it is. Broadly neuro-affirming, I’m not putting anyone down for any traits ofc, even if they do cause challenges sometimes! Hope that makes sense!

Santi is so organised and tidy. He can make a plan and execute it with great attention to detail (have you seen that storage locker?!). If you struggle to stay organised and keep the house tidy etc., Santiago will have no issue helping you out, whether it’s coming up with a routine, creating a system, or simply doing a quick blitz anytime he’s over at your house. He finds it sorta therapeutic anyway, and you never feel like he’s doing it because he judges you or the condition of your place. It’s just wired into him to find order. Hell, sometimes if you lose something around the place you call him to see if HE can remember where he last saw it, and usually he can. That military routine never really left him, even all those years later, so he’s a great constant for modelling structure!

Santi will FaceTime you to body-double whatever chores you want to complete. For example; you have a Wednesday evening tradition to call each other while you each fold the laundry, or do whatever else you need to get done. You do get things done, and he makes you laugh the whole time too. He sticks to this routine as much as he can, no matter what else he has going on, or which country he is in. He loves this quality time with you, and to him it’s just a bonus that it helps you out.

Running late to meet him? He’s learned to bring a book and a flask of coffee along. He’ll wait, you’re worth it.

Sensitive to noise? Santi can’t relate fully, but he knows what it’s like for some sounds to instil negative effects. (See how this veteran is feeling around the fireworks at 4th July and you’ll get it.) He will respect your need for quiet when you need it. Besides, he’s slowed down a lot since his younger years and more and more enjoys the little things like curling up and reading a book. That said, if you want some stimulation and fancy hitting a dive bar with blasting music, or wanna dance in the kitchen, he can also be convinced. He has the range to accommodate all of your sensory preferences, your routines and your impulsive ideas, and he’ll gladly follow your flow.

He’s a magician at regulating you. This man is observant and can read people like nobody’s business, so he knows when you’re getting overstimulated or overwhelmed - often before anyone else does. When he sees it happen he’s happy to help you calm your nervous system however you need. Whether that’s a soft / firm hug, distracting you by talking to you in his soothing voice, working-out with you, letting you fidget with him - his hands, bracelets, whatever - or borrowing a texture of his, like playing with his soft curls.

Better believe this guy sends you texts throughout the day to check that you’ve eaten / drank water.

If you’re running late to an appointment and he’s free he will 100% drive you.

He loves to cook and always “accidentally” makes extra, so that you always have a stock of tasty “emergency” meals in your freezer for days when you don’t have the energy / functioning to cook.

Don’t wanna make the phone call? Santi will do it for you. Besides, he can charm the socks off of anyone so it’s probably best he deals with it anyway.

Santi is charming but he also has the ability to be straight down the line in his communication, especially with you as he trusts you so much. That means you rarely have to guess what he’s thinking or feeling about any particular thing. He lays it out for you and that’s super helpful. Of course, he can be closed off about his more complex, deeper emotions, but that’s something you seem to bring out of him - at least, in ways that no-one else has managed. You’ve had plenty of deep heart-to-hearts with the man and you know you can count on each other in a pinch, whether you need comfort or to vent about something you have going on.

Santi experiences panic attacks and anxiety and can relate to some of the ways you also struggle. He gets that people’s brains work in different ways and he’s far from judgemental about that. You’ve never once made him feel lesser when he’s been struggling and he will NEVER do that to you either.

Your sense of humour cracks him up no end.

He loves that you can be “blunt” / direct / a little “too honest”. He always knows where he stands with you, and for someone as (secretly) insecure as Santi that’s no small thing.

If you indicate you are burnt-out… he BELIEVES you. No questions asked - except for what you need, of course.

Forgotten something? Santi has started carrying spares. This man is nothing if not prepared, and now that simply extends to you. Whatever day-to-day items you carry (or often lose) he makes a mental note of the item and brand and buys multiple - for his place, his truck, wherever.

This man has social skills galore, so you can lean on him at parties, or in whatever situation if you’re feeling uncomfy or want a “way in” to a conversation. You can even leave him to do all the talking if you like, though of course he will enable you to have the floor if he can see that you want it. On the flip side, if you talk a lot, he is absolutely listening and rapt with whatever you are coming out with.

Don’t always look him in the eye? That’s okay. The man is so beautiful he’s used to people not being able to stare directly at him 😝 Besides, he finds you and your mannerisms completely charming.

He’s deadly, sure, but overall he’s actually quite a calm and not hugely reactive person - especially in a crisis. That can be so helpful in balancing you out on some occasions where you may react in a heightened way, or be emotional or worried / catastrophising about something. Despite his ability to skip town at the drop of a hat - before deciding to stick around - he does have the ability to be pretty steady and stable and sometimes that’s what you need.

He appreciates you and everything you do for him. He helps you out sometimes but you never feel “in his debt”. He is endlessly praising all of your amazing strengths and attributes (amidst some fond teasing ofc) and appreciates all that you are as well as all you do for him, and he couldn’t ask for a better person to have in his corner.

Summary: After you're stood up by your third blind date and come home feeling nearly sick, there's someone waiting to make you feel like the most important person, but at what cost?

Author's Note: Of course I'm gonna make auDHD reader stories with Yandere Rio. What do you think I am? Mentally and emotionally stable?

Two hours.

That's how long you've been waiting at the restaurant for a blind date you're supposed to be on and they haven't shown up. And your autism is backfiring on you because this is a major change. It was already nerve-wracking getting the courage to go on a blind date, but for them to not even show up? That's just asking for anxiety.

You haven't even ordered anything yet; it'd be impolite to order before they got there, but you can feel your stomach begging for food.

All this six months after your break-up with your ex-girlfriend, when you finally managed to get the courage to get back out into the dating scene. But third time's the charm post-breakup, right?

"Just another half an hour," you think, glancing around the restaurant. "They're just running very late, right?"

You've been telling yourself that for the past two hours. Maybe they just need reminding?

You check the DMs you sent; no response. The last message you sent was an hour ago and the last message they sent was two hours ago; they said they'd be there later. You decide to type one in to send.

"Hey, where are you? It's getting really late."

You click send.

Wait, what?

MESSAGE COULD NOT BE DELIVERED.

You decide to check the website to see what that means. Anxiety is pinballing around your stomach until you find it; it means the account was banned or they blocked you. You click on their profile; the account is still there.

It's official; you've been blocked.

At that moment, you feel the crack form in your heart and the tears forming in your eyes. You pushed through discomfort to pluck your eyebrows, wear contacts, get your nails done, do your hair up nicely, wear a form-fitting dress, AND put on makeup; all for you to get stood up...

It's the third time in a row too. Your heart sinks.

"What am I doing wrong?" you think, trying to hold back your tears. "Am I not pretty enough? Am I too weird? What's the problem?"

"Miss, are you going to order anything?"

You tense up as you hear the waiter ask you again for the seventh time tonight. You sigh.

"I....I don't think I'm gonna. I'm sorry for wasting your time. I think I'll just go."

You decide to leave a tip--$20 sounds about right--and head out of the restaurant. You hear the sky rumble and droplets on your head. Great. A thunderstorm. At least the walk to the parking lot isn't too lo--

Wait, where the hell is your car?!

You could've sworn that you parked it here. Where did it go? Did it get stolen?

The sky rumbles again.

It doesn't matter. You need to get home, so you try to flag down a taxi, but no dice. And now it's practically pouring and none of your friends are picking up to take you home. And why do you still have your ex's number?

"I can't believe I forgot to block her," you sigh.

You decide to take care of that when you get home, which is a thirty minute drive....and a sixty minute walk.

Great.

Just great.

By the time you get home, your legs are blaring with pain and you feel like you're going to freeze from the cold rain gushing down on you. You can barely make it up the steps to your top floor apartment. Almost immediately, you head to your bathroom and swipe up the makeup wipes, still trying not to cry even as you wipe it all off get the contact lenses out. The glasses are much more comfortable, but they don't alleviate your broken heart. Even a warm shower doesn't help.

As soon as you're finished, you're wrought with exhaustion; all you want is to go to sleep. But as you pass through your living room, you get a strange feeling, one that's telling you that you're not alone.

But that makes no sense. You live alone, so who coul--?

"Surprise, m'lady."

The voice is low and soft, and familiar. Whirling around you find one of the last people you expected to see; your ex-girlfriend, Rio Vidal.

"H-how did you--?!" you stammer.

"Door was unlocked," she shrugs. "But that's not the issue; you look like you've been through the wringer, sweetheart. Let me take care of you."

"I don't nee--"

"Yes, you do," Rio insists. "I know how you are when it comes to self-care and it's abysmal, so I'm going to be taking care of you, whether you like it or not."

In one swift motion, Rio sweeps you up into a bridal carry and takes you to your bedroom.

"This is it?" she asks. "What do they think you are? A peasant?"

She sets you down on the bed and uses her magic, transforming your bedroom into something more akin to a princess' bedroom and then your PJs into something more akin to a princess' nightgown, soft and white, draping down to just above your ankles.

"Rio--" you begin as she shuts the door.

"Shhh," she shushes gently. "Don't you worry; I'll take care of everything. You just stay there and look pretty."

Rio pulls the blankets up to your chest before using her magic to conjure up a feast of your favorites. The smell wafts to your nose, and you're caught in its enchantment. Of course your stomach definitely doesn't object and you go to grab a fork.

"Ah-ah-ah," Rio scolds with a playful smirk. "Princesses shouldn't have to do the work meant for servants."

She sits down on the bed next to you and snatches up the silverware before digging into one of the dishes and feeding you.

"You're so beautiful, like the cosmos full of shimmering stars," she sighs with a tone that's a mixture of affection and obsession. "Anyone with common sense would be euphoric if they got to date you."

You try to hold back a wince as you remember why you returned to your apartment looking like shit to begin with.

"You are an angel, so full of sweetness and light," she continues, her tone becoming gentle and soothing. "You deserve to be with someone who appreciates how unique you are, who sees you as one-of-a-kind, who treats you like a princess, their princess."

She leans in and whispers.

"My princess."

Hearing this, the hair on the back of your neck stands on edge. You try to escape, but why isn't Rio trying to go after you? You go to the door and open it, your stomach flipping at what you see.

You're not in your apartment anymore; no, instead you see a long, elegant hallway, the walls a regal dark blue, like something from a castle....Rio's castle.

"You like it?"

You jump upon hearing Rio's voice purr in your ear. She uses your shock as an opportunity to lead you back to the bed, clearing off the food with her magic.

"Why are you so stunned?" she chuckles. "I should think seeing how luxurious your new home is would help you forget about the car and the date. Both are....rather out of commission anyhow."

You freeze upon hearing this; no, surely Rio wouldn't go THAT far?

"You're why I've been gettin--?!"

"Those mortals would never treat you like the princess you are. I did you a favor."

In an instant, Rio pins you to the bed. As you look up at her, you see that all-too-familiar look in her eyes; obsessive affection.

"You really didn't think you'd escape me that easily, did you?" she chuckles. "Every mortal has to face Death eventually, after all."

Rio moves off of you and onto the bed. She pulls you to her, your back against her chest and her arms around you tightly before conjuring up a blanket around the two of you.

"Except, for you, it won't be for being guided to the afterlife."

She moves close to your ear, her breath hot and smelling of peppermint as she whispers, causing shivers to run through you....

"It will be right back to me...."

Oh… darn. Well, Mammon probably won’t be lenient or nice about it. He is that type of guy so whilst he’s a bit offensive, I hope it’ll be okay. I’m not personally mocking being plus sized or having AuHDHD, I just doubt Mammon would be nice about it at first— but anyway

Mammon- Greatest Self

Straight up… Mammon is pretty goddamn crude and a big selfish bastard. He doesn’t apologise for anything he does and he doesn’t regret being judgemental or discriminative since he only cares for himself

So, when he sees you… a ‘unappealing plus sized brat with a fucked up head’ that’s apparently his new employee, has him apathetic and disinterested so he doesn’t even care to be nice nor ease up his toxicity as your boss

Mammon didn’t really fear insulting your physical body or your psychological issues. He finds both of them very annoying and he cannot bring himself to be patient with you, so for the first few months he had you hired. He treated you badly…

However, for the first time in his life, the Sin of Greed… genuinely felt something bad for somebody else upon making his nasty remarks when he saw the way you were upset over him

Mammon doesn’t know why but he ended up changing his attitude with you since he couldn’t take the sharp stabs in his heart anymore! He can’t insult you without hurting himself. Eventually, he completely silences his bad treatment and tries his best to compliment you

Mammon actually really don’t believe that disorders exist at all and when you, when gaining back trust to your Circus-decored sin boss, explain what AuHDHD is… he does his end to not laugh at the nonsense and listens up. He doesn’t get all this medicine and this treatments yet he keeps trying to understand you anyway

Mammon likes his people attractive and thin and curvy. Whilst he doesn’t think plus sized is attractive at first, he also thinks that there is a POSSIBLE chance that a plus sized curvy person can be hot and eventually, he does view you that way… your plush curves is soft and squishable

Honestly, he thirsts over you like crazy. Mammon loves to kiss and suck your soft plus-sized belly and waist. Feel your bigger thighs and your nice thick ass… he loves the same you feel, you’re amazing and he basically pants over your body

This is a lot less sexual but romantic passion, Mammon doesn’t find anybody sexually thriving but romantically thriving. It’s why he likes your body, he likes to dress you up and put you nice clothing and shoes… oh, it makes him flutter!

Don’t worry, Mammon will NEVER let anybody insult your body or your conditions! He did previously but he doesn’t anymore since you’re now his beloved partner so if anybody even dares to make fun of you, he’ll devour them whole with no hesitation whatsoever

Mammon may like you a lot but he is still a awfully greedy money-eyed prick so he’ll market you in whatever your best skill is so he can profit from it but he will gladly give you… a proportion of that income gain. He only slightly exploits you where he exploits everybody 100%

Mammon enjoys having you match him in clothing or accessorises! So, he likes to get you to wear whatever he is at the time, I’m afraid you’ll have to get use to this little cute thing until he gets bored of it… which will probably take some time so he’ll make you his Mini Me and admire how cute you look!

Mammon treats you like a Prince/Princess/Royal amongst the workplace so you get special privileges, and his employees do as you want when you want by his command. If you’re hungry, they give you food first. If you need time alone to handle your AuDHD, they are to leave right away

Mammon personally doesn’t think you need to do anything for anybody else so when you tell him, after a long day, about people saying you need to lose your weight. He’ll basically say; ‘you don���t need to change for anybody’ but if you ever want to change your plus-sized form, he’ll be there to support you… in the most Mammon way

Now. To top up your relationship with the Aussie Greed King, Mammon is not the most perfect boyfriend and he’s always trying to improve his ugliest traits to not hurt your feelings so he needs time but he does love you and he’ll show it

"Aaaahhhhh oh myy-" the rest of what you were saying was incomprehensible because the words slurred together in an excited squeal. A gleeful expression upon your face, you waved and shook your hands in front of your body, then pressed them over your mouth, to stifle another squeal.

Ford smiled to himself as he watched you from the other side of the room, where he propped his notebook open to scribble something down.

"Heeyyyyy Grunkle Ford, watcha got there?" Mabel's voice rang out right beside him.

He snapped the book shut and whipped his head around.

Without letting her get another word in, he moved past her and made his way into his study.

There, he propped open the notebook to the page he'd just added a new note onto.

- likes to hum when no one is around - seems to prefer more loose fitting clothes. possibly because the don't restrict movement as much - will subconsciously play and fidget with any jewellery they're wearing - sorts and eats their food in a particular order - would rather not eat at all than something not appealing - skin irritating clothing causes great discomfort. remove tags!! - wants to talk but holds back. encouraging them has positive effect - avoids eye contact but will look at faces when the person isn't looking at them - do not touch without warning and do not force contact! expressed great discomfort to me after being forced to physical contact by someone else - repeating phrases and noises (quite endearing) - easily startled by sudden and loud noises, as well as irritated by high pitched ones, almost too quiet to hear - shows behaviours similar to felines. has stated that they would be delighted to posses the ability to purr (he would be delighted too)

Ford smiled as he looked up and leaned back. He really hoped Mabel hadn't seen too much, otherwise she might figure out how interested in you he really was. And we wasn't sure if he was ready for that.

For now he would be very much content continuing to dreamily gaze over at you and notice all the little things, so he could understand you better.

Maybe one day he could work up the courage to ask you out.

A/N: I myself am audhd (autistic and adhd) and I haven’t really seen much at all of ateez and nd reader stuff so I decided to write about it myself, specifically Hongjoong as he’s on of my ults. This is based around my nd habits/brain/experience, as obviously I know myself best so I draw from my own experiences, however I did try to include a bit of other nd experiences.

Hongjoong is nd in this, if you don’t like that, don’t read. (Let’s be honest, that man is most likely nd in reality anyway)

Fuck that’s a lot of writing. Onto the actual content:

• He’d silently notice when your brain is completely scattered and you just can’t think of what you’re meant to be doing. He’d come over and ask what you’re trying to do and then direct you on what steps to do to achieve it. You know the steps, but your brain just can’t sent them out. (with demand avoidance idk if this would work for everyone, but ik for me this is basically a love language)

• Throughout the day he’d ask if you’ve been eating and drinking, softly reminding you to if you haven’t. Or if you have decision paralysis he’d bring up the list of your safe foods he has on his phone and suggest some

• He’d always carry a spare pair of charged noise cancelling headphones with him, even when you’re not with him (he probably needs them too, I’m 99% sure that man is neurodivergent) he’d have them for you in case yours die or you forget them

• He’d always appreciate it so much when you check if he’s eaten and drank water as well, even if he doesn’t necessarily express it, because he forgets to a lot

• He’d know most if not all of your safe songs, have a playlist of them on his phone for if you need to listen on his phone for whatever reason

• Music is 100% both of your shared special interest. You’re always sharing songs with each other and singing together

• One day he asks if you want to see how he makes music. You gladly accept and so he takes you to his studio and starts showing you how he makes beats, how to put the song together, his recording process. He infodumps and gets so goddam excited to show his favourite person one of his favourite things ever. It just makes you so happy to see him so ecstatic taking about his special interest

• The look he gets on his face when you’re infodumping about your special interest to him makes your heart melt. It’s so so so loving, because he’s seeing his favourite person at their happiest, feeling completely safe unabashedly sharing their favourite thing with him

• He’ll sometimes see you nesting with all your soft toys when you’re in sensory overload, and he thinks it’s the cutest goddam thing ever

• You’ll both occasionally come home to the other person having cleaned a significant part of the house (usually the bedroom) because dopamine dopamined

• I feel like he would know he’s nd but wouldn’t actually know heaps about it, like the traits of it, and what it means for a person in their everyday life and how their brain works, so he’d learn so much about it from you, always willing to try to understand you better, and never telling you that you don’t have certain traits/diagnoses simply because he hasn’t done the research (lol not me trying to heal myself through this post)

• You’d pick up stims from the other members, just from random things they’d do or say, not even necessarily them stimming, but their stims as well (Seonghwa I’m looking at you). Hongjoong would jokingly get jealous that you’re not picking up his stims. You do though, ALL THE TIME. One of you gets a new stim and suddenly for the next 2 weeks that’s all that’s happening around the house, whether it’s vocal stims or physical stims

• When you guys are together in social situations you are glued at the hip, never leaving each other’s side; you’re both each others safe place

• HJ already isn’t fond of physical touch but when he’s in sensory overload he can’t stand someone being even a little too close to him. You’re his safe place, safe person, but if he’s too overstimulated he will go into shutdown if you come to close. You learned this early on from experience and you now know what his stims and behaviour are when he’s overstimulated and know to give him the space he needs, which he appreciates infinitely. He loves you even more for it and you will always do it for him because you love him

• On that same idea, he will come to learn what your sensory issues are, and what triggers them, what your behaviour and stims look like when you’re in sensory overload and what to do to help you best. Okay, so I have officially decided to try something different! All of these are x Reader based and honestly, I may open up Reader Requests and how the canons would react to different situations!

These may also include hurt/comfort + injury headcanons between canons in general! Not just with Readers!

Danny Phantom

👻 If Reader was hurt- Danny would honestly fret so much; he would be the type to immediately hover around his S/O and just go into full protective mode

👻 He wouldn’t pry if you didn’t feel like talking about what happened, but if it turned out someone else caused it- Danny might attempt to go after them. He just seems the type

👻 The irony comes in the following: if Danny was hurt, he’s going to try and suck it up. He doesn’t really want to be seen as weak because he’s Phantom and he can handle himself

👻 He might not even realize what’s happening unless you happened to point it out-

👻 Danny’s honestly the type to chuckle and attempt to carry on with whatever he was doing regardless. The only people he listens to are you or Sam Manson-

🐉 Our dragon boy, Jake Long, is a stubborn little shit. If he was the one being hurt- he’s going to laugh, struggle back up on his feet, and keep fighting. Jake has zero chill. He’s the hit first, ask questions later type

🐉 Now if it was you being hurt, Jake would go ballistic. If it was done with the intention of hurting you, well, there’s nothing that will stop him from attempting to hunt someone down-

🐉 Jake’s got a slightly better handle at dealing with his problems than Danny, but even then- he’s a spitfire; once something frustrates him, he’s going to vent. He doesn’t know what to do with the frustration other than letting it out

🐉 As he gets older however, this changes- but he continues to consider his close friends and you as his hoard. This proves a challenge, because dragons do not know when to quit

🐉 If you were going through something, Jake does his best to comfort but he also doesn’t think before he speaks sometimes. It can cause a bit of tension; at the same time, he’s still caring. He’s trying

🐉 He worries so much over the people he cares about. It’s implied in the series he doesn’t to let the ones he cares about go- Jake would go the mile for his family and friends, but he also has a habit of blindly rushing into the fray for them

Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja

🥷 Oh this kid- if you were to be hurt, Randy’s going to lose it; it’s not really shown in the canon when someone gets hurt- other than the Ninja, of course- and i know Randy won’t handle well when someone he cares about is hurt

🥷 Randy would attempt to go after whoever hurt you. Well- until he’s snapped out of it by someone, and he immediately rushes to your side. If he’s a bit older, he will go to you

🥷 He’s going to internally panic the entire time if you end up having to go to the hospital

🥷 In that same breath however, Randy will not admit when he’s hurt. Almost like Jake- he’s going to keep fighting; if anything, he probably wouldn’t even notice he was hurt until after the battle was over

🥷 He’s going to laugh it off- or he’ll end up in mute shock as the adrenaline fades and he stumbles backward, staring at the injury with confusion

🥷 i do use the headcanon that the ninja suit will take care of injuries using some form of an ancient magic, but it doesn’t make the Ninja completely invulnerable and causes side effects

🥷 Randy’s a good friend. If the two of you aren’t in a relationship, he’s going to let you vent to him and he’ll patiently sit there and listen without hesitation

🥷 On the chance you’re his partner, Randy would dote on you and if there’s something troubling you- this boy is clingy as all hell. He will hold you while you cry, but he’s also kind of struggling with the words and then finally settles on simple reassurance

🥷 Randy doesn’t always think before he acts. If the two of you got in a fight, he doesn’t immediately apologize- he’s the type to storm out and then has to force himself to calm down, only after that has happened will he consider he did something wrong. He quietly goes to say he’s sorry, honestly he looks like a kicked puppy but he’s trying

🥷 Mentally, Randy will attempt to shove down any of his troubles. He’s fine. There’s absolutely nothing wrong, but on worse days- he finds himself crying alone, or he seeks out specific people who can help him

Additional Injury Headcanons

(Scars + Battle Injury)

Danny Phantom

👻 With Danny, he has a significant amount of scars- between his accident to being thrown around so many times by his enemies, well, they’re everywhere. There’s something ever slightly off about them, but because he’s still half human - it can’t always be avoided

👻 As mentioned before, he hates being seen as weak and will attempt to pull through- Danny’s going to keep fighting, but at the same time, he does have his limits

👻 During battle, he won’t notice he’s hurt- if he’s in ghost form. The moment it all comes crashing, he’s kind of going to grin and bear it - thinking his advanced healing will eventually take care of it

👻 When it comes to the people he cares about, he doesn’t seem to be bothered if he gets hurt. He’s going to push through no matter what

👻 He doesn’t argue when he’s being taken care of while injured. Danny acts more like a needy, give-me-attention cat than anything else

American Dragon: Jake Long

🐉 Jake is protective of the people he cares about. If he’s injured trying to keep them safe, he still keeps going- well, until he has no choice but to stop

🐉 If it comes down to choosing between himself and his family, he’ll choose himself last. Jake will go down on fighting if he can help it

🐉 With Jake being a dragon, normally the worst of his injuries are dealt with but at the same time- he can still get hurt. Weapons like a knife can’t do much damage unless they hit a weakness point, but something like the Huntsclan’s weapons? That could hurt him-

🐉 When Jake’s sick or needs to be taken care of because he’s injured- he is whiny; if anything, he would rather just be left to deal with it in peace especially during the time when his father doesn’t know about him being the American dragon

🐉 When he’s sick, be prepared for him to suddenly pull you close and snuggle you if he’s too out of it. If he’s more aware, he sort of slips into more draconic traits- it’s kind of adorable to watch honestly

Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja

🥷 Much like Jake, though with the suit instead of being a dragon- Randy’s injuries are usually taken care of and will heal at a faster rate. Unfortunately this isn’t always the case- and he does have scars from old battles, including bruising and the occasional broken bone depending on severity

🥷 Due to Randy’s impulsivity- not to mention, taking on literal robots at times, he does get battered around a lot; he’s knocked into walls, the floor. You name it, so he does have bruises that are brushed off as clumsiness

🥷 Randy is never going to admit when he’s hurt. He does try to lick his wounds in peace- not wanting to be disturbed, but at the same time- only Howard has been given the okay to tend to his injuries (the first time it happened, Howard was startled; not having expected this- he was angry- but concerned, quickly getting to work on bandaging Randy)

🥷 Despite Randy being a bit of a lone wolf- he absolutely would risk his own life for people he cares about, for Norrisville. He doesn’t always think before he makes a move and well, it’s not always a pretty sight after

🥷 When he has to be taken care of, Randy would protest the entire time. He’s rather deal with it himself- if he’s more conscious, well, he tends to try and suck it up but he’s also ridiculously unwilling to cooperate. If he's not as conscious, this boy is going to be either extremely clingy (i feel he just sort of sleeps a lot of the time), or groggily attempt to deal with his sickness on his own

🥷 Randy absolutely would try and continue going to school even if he's hurt or sick- (sure he did try to fake being sick that one time, but honestly- he would just keep coming to school regardless)

Headcannons- Can you do Cassie(Mortal Kombat) x childish audhd reader who will pick up on anything heard and itll most likely become a vocal stim? One can be if someone said something bad and reader ended up picking up on it (Also not in an n$fw way but biting just to show affection, get attention, stim, etc)

i dont entirely feel comfortable writing a portrayal of either adhd or autism as a person whos childish, as a person with audhd myself whos gone being called that in a negetive conotation resulting in me not being taken seriously, but im more than happy to make a list of hcs for cassie reacting to the readers echolalia and other stims! so i hope this is okay!

chewing gum she shares it (if you have a chewing stim) and thinks its fun/cute when you echo back the pops after she blows a bubble. it causes her to break character when shes trying to be cool in the moment but she doesnt hold it against you.

insults and swearing she has a habit of cursing that she doesnt intent to break and she makes a lot of creative insulting comments during a fight, the kind to taunt her opponents and be cocky when she starts or wins a brawl. so when you echo back a phrase or word she uses she takes it as feedback for either how rediculous she sounded or how good of a line it was. this means she'll occaionally respond with "i'll workshop that one", "alright not my best", "yeah that sounded better in my head", or the ocasional smirk and chuckle. sometimes even feeling encouraged to make more insults to see which ones stick with you when you hear them. though she isnt sure how she feels when she hears you repeating her cursing.

bite of love shes gotten used to you biting her randomly. she'll tease you about it like calling you her little shark. "worried i'll run into trouble sharky?" knows better than to put her arm or hand near your face cuz you will bite her. but also isnt all that surprised if you come up and bite her anyway. if she needs her hand she'll give you a kiss on the head to return the affection.

earbud to earbud shares her headphones and music with you if you need sound input to stim. lets you pick the songs for a trip, probably has a playlist just for the two of you. she'll actually give you her earbuds and sit you down with her phone somewhere so you can have a moment to yourself if you get overstimulated

out of sight out of mind her adhd bounces off yours, something goes missing and you check with each other, you probably find each others things lying around and pick it up only to forget you have it until the other goes looking for it. "have you seen my gloves?" "yeah theyre in my bag" if she sees you get distracted and abandon one task for another she'll drop and forget her task to help with the task you just left out and it circles.

pacing she paces a lot when shes lost in thought so when she sees you pacing her first thought is you might be overthinking and not that youre stimming with movement.

fidgets she probably has fidget toys incase you need one, but also doesnt mind just giving you her hand or something of hers to fidget with. more often than not when youre holding hands youre actually playing with the fingerless gloves shes wearing.

AuDHD Cedric The Sorcerer Headcanons (With Autistic S/O)

Coming from someone with AuDHD with an autistic best friend, I can't stress how much source material I have to speak about this sifkdiieis

FIRST THINGS FIRST. SENSORY ISSUES GALOREEEEE. That man will shrivel and die if he were ever in the modern era and came into direct contact with a microfiber towel.

A secret Headcanon I have (outside of the reasons I listed in my first headcanon list about Cedric!) Is he wears gloves BECAUSE Cedric has sensory/texture issues. His potion ingredients seem incredibly bizarre at times, and I'm sure the textures of them just get overwhelming at times. If you're wondering why the fingertips are exposed, he might need the extra grip to handle delicate objects, etc etc.

His robe is basically a weighted blanket, argue with the wall. He needs to be regulated somehow, and he's still a nervous wreck anyways

We know Cedric's speech is affected by his audhd. Dude has pedantic speech, overly emotive or deadpan, his volume control is non-existent when excited.

Expanding on that, his tendency to mix up words for spells seems a little... Neurospicy, on top of the anxiety

Forgets spells constantly. Not actually forget how to do them, just forgetting they exist cuz adhd

Has CHRONICALLY turned his workshop inside out because the thing Cedric was using just disappeared after he set it down!

Cedric is so genuinely shocked by kindness from Sofia even though she's consistent with it. That can definitely be trauma, but also feels like a lack of emotional permanence

Rejection Sensitivity Dysphoria SO BADDDDD Cedric would have a shutdown about it (thanks ADHD)

Prone to more shutdowns than meltdowns. But as we know, shutdowns inevitably lead to meltdowns anyways. I hc that Cedric is definitely seen as "melancholic" because his mood shifts as well as masking (poorly) his mental state after having meltdowns in private

Definitely tugs at his hair, bites himself, hits his head/fists on hard surfaces during meltdowns :((

Cedric's job as royal sorcerer is fun for the knowledge as special interest aspect, but the social parts leaves him in bad burnout, at least before his redemption
