I think it's important that we don't forget how brutal/aggressive Battinson really is.

Yes, he avoids eye contact.

Yes, he shies away from sunlight and hides in his chair.

Yes, he shivers in the cold rain and looks up from his lashes.

But he also allows seven thugs to surround him completely before throwing the first punch.

He also forces his way into a hornet's nest and wails on anyone in his path.

He also reminds everyone that he hit not one, but three police officers.

He also marches down a hallways alight with gunfire and keeps hitting.

He also uses chemicals to get up and keep fighting when his body has told him it's time to stop.

I think there's a lot to be said here for the idea that Batman makes Bruce feel safe enough to outwardly act on his emotions. In social situations, he's too vulnerable to be the aggressor. But he's deeply very angry, he has been since he was a child, and he openly channels that anger into fighting.

Look, I like Hawkman as much as the next guy. (Which TBH is not a whole lot, Not a lot of people give a shit about Hawkman, there's a reason Hawkgirl was one of the founding 7 in the Justice League animated series, Shayera is just straight up better.) but nothing about Hawkman or Hawkgirl or any other Thanagarian warrior screams furbait.

Yeah they have a Hawk motif, that's not special. We jokingly claim that Batman is Bruce Wayne's fursona but anyone genuinely claiming that Batman is furrybait probably belongs in Arkham Asylum.

Yeah they have wings, but like, that doesn't make them furbait. Hell half the time Carter's aren't even real.
