The SoC Theatre is a public 16+ server for systems of color! This means only people who are bodily PoC. Discourse about alter race or whatever is not allowed, but that doesn't mean we're going to let bodily white people join. Similarly, any system discourse isn't allowed, and all of the owners are explicitly pro-endo, so please don't join if you're anti-endo!

The server has a gated lobby where you need a password to enter, as well as an opt-in vent category and a gated 18+ area. Otherwise, the server mostly exists just as a place to talk and meet other systems of color! For now, singlets of color are not allowed in the server, but questioning systems and mixed systems are.

there's so much hatred and apathy in the world right now. so much disgust and repulsion between everyone. if you, like me, are tired of looking at the state of this world -- maybe you can stand up for what's right.

maybe you can empower yourself, heal yourself to be a leader of your own life. maybe you can turn to those who pose challenges in your circles and argue back, fight back, change the world one person at a time.

i believe to heal Nature, to reform society so we treat everyone with respect and kindness, and to progress past capitalism, we need to each change the way we behave and think. on a deep level. we need to nurture a sacrality for not just Nature, but people. everyone. even that bigot you hate. even that radfem that sucks. even that ableist who hurt you.

but to do that, we need to feel safe, comfortable and sacred within ourselves first. we need a community of leftists that are like-minded, and willing to use the arts to promote change and transform the world.

maybe this all sounds too good to be true. maybe you're doubting yourself, or me, and don't want to take any chances. but i'll say one more thing: you are never obligated to do anything.

SERPENTINE PROMISE | Hidden in Plain Sight.

Serpentine Promise is a 16+ literate Horror / Slasher Warriors RP set on the coast of Belize in the heart of a meteor crater called the Cardinal. This RP takes heavy inspiration from the beautiful indigenous Mayan cultures of Belize for its worldbuilding.

You are part of three groups known as Arrows. You live in relative peace, guided by your Celestial Leaders in the skies above - the Jade Tiger, the Red Tiger, and the Gold Tiger. Centuries prior, these three leaders created the Arrows, but in doing so created something worse. The North Serpent wanted the crater for itself, and would only be satisfied when it ate the sun. The three tigers fought together against the serpent to the death.

In modern times, these Celestial Leaders are growing increasingly distraught, until they disappear one night and leave you with nothing but an omen … Cats around you begin to drop dead soon after. Your objective? Survive. Keep one eye open. Figure out which one of you is slaughtering cats by the dozen, or die trying.

like. there are tacky scenarios where white artists in a fandom (any fandom) will make a bunch of characters ambiguously brown. then pat themselves on the back and go "yayyy we fixed the lack of diversity! [the original media] is diverse now, thanks to us!!" and then they sweep any problems with the source material under the rug. which is, yeah, pretty worthy of criticism.

yet i don't see that in the mother fandom like at all. i often overhear & participate in thoughtful discussions about how the mother series lacks bipoc representation, and leans grossly into stereotypes (scaraba, reggie, etc). i see posts & comments about it on this website pretty frequently. folks in servers & spaces i'm in talk often about how to handle diverse headcanons responsibly in a fandom like this. maybe i'm mistaken - i'm sure there's other pockets of the fandom where ppl are ignorant or shitty about this stuff. but for the most part, i get the impression mother fans are cognizant of what the series did wrong, and aren't trying to erase its faults. for what little my white opinion is worth, folks lashing out against diverse headcanons simply Existing At All seems a lot more bigoted to me 😐
