Hey I decided to make a social Discord server for trans-umbrella folk who are also aspec. Most of the trans servers I’ve run into have an implicit assumption that members are allo and it made me feel kind of unwelcome or like I was being pushed out of conversations I was already participating in, but the aspec servers I’ve tried joining were mostly comprised of cis people. There are Sapphic trans servers and Achillean trans servers, so why not a server for aspec folks as well?

Mascerade (discord server)

Hello, there! I run a discord server called Mascerade. It is a support server for those who are trans-masculine* to chat and share resources. The server is overall 13+ however there are sections which are 18+ for mature (non-sexual) conversation.

There self-assigned roles, custom server emojis, various bots, and one of the other mods set up a Minecraft server. We are a safe space for those who are neurodivergent and those who are questioning their gender identities.

PATHOWOGEN DISCORD SERVER AWARENESS

So I don't really know how to make these but I feel like it's important. The Pathowogen Server is a furry server held by Emperor Frenzy, found on Youtube under the name Pathowogen Empire More under the cut

So I must start with the fact I have anger issues, I am working on that and I can "blow up" quite easily. Anyway, I'm a semi active member of the server, mostly posting art there. Today an announcement was made showcasing a sister-server made for trans awareness

I thought that was a great idea ! As a trans person myself, I wanted to share about my identity ! I am genderfluid and I want to explain what genderfluidity is !

So I join and.... record scratch there is gender euphoria channels.... only for trans FTM and trans MTF. Like the names were "Trans women euphoria" and "trans men euphoria". Finding this a little odd I pointed it out. To which an admin said "on it" then I see it. "Non binary and genderfluid euphoria" (I don't have screen for these as I left the server, sorry)

And also the only pride flag they were praising was the generic trans flag, pink, white blue. There is nothing wrong with that ! But if you're making an "awareness" server there should also be other gender identities that are represented such as Non Binary, Agender, Genderfluid, Demiboy, Demigirl etc...

So I left the server. I didn't want to be a part of it. Soon later the owner sent me a DM and... here is how the conversation goes.

calling bringing up the lack of awareness the "smallest shit" when it is something big and also trying to excuse it because the "Non binary and Genderfluid channel was made by a trans woman" I COULDNT CARE LESS IF IT WAS A TRANS WOMAN, SHE IS NOT NON BINARY OR GENDERFLUID

Oh wanna know the best thing? FRENZY IS A CIS MAN, HE IS NOT EVEN TRANS

So let me get this straight, this cisgender guy wanted to make a "trans awareness" server but when a trans person under an identity that is misrepresented speaks up suddenly it's a "small shit" that isn't a "big deal"

Then they show me that his server (which are mostly kids btw) "agrees with him so I'm overreacting". Then blocked me

Anyway, don't support the Pathowogen Server or Frenzy. While I'm at it, I should also discuss one of their 15yo moderator tried to enter MY 18+ SERVER AND WAS NOT DEMOTED WHEN I BROUGHT IT UP

Hello, tumblr. I have a transmasc support server. It is fairly active, and has various channels for transition discussion and such. There is a sfw 18+ area of the server for adult transes to talk. Looks like the "misreading what I write" police finally got me with their Hammer of Dawn and have finally unleashed my fury when I was trying so damn hard to be patient and considerate of their sometimes straight garbage behaviour.

Own server time, I reckon. Overdue. Should've left after the first warning with the ridiculousness of it but I genuinely thought maybe I would be able to be comfortable there after a while. It never happened. I was always uncomfortable after that. Always watching my words. Checking with mods to make sure I stuck to rules.

It still wasn't good enough for them, I guess. Their assumptions took priority over what I actually was saying no matter how carefully I tried to word things.

I reckon my keeping quiet about my gender identity contributed. But there's a frustrating dynamic with being nonbinary for me now as there was back when I was an egg online hiding behind anonymity and avoiding the question of "a/s/l", I don't want to answer the question. I don't want to be asked the question. I don't want to answer. My gender is me. It doesn't matter. Don't bring it up. I don't want to think about it.

I honestly don't even like calling myself nonbinary because there's still some sort of twisted gender expectation based on the binary applied to me when I say that that's more uncomfortable for me than just not saying anything. And yet I'm still forced in situations like this to have to say something because this whole situation is screwed up.

But, you know, the "not all cis" mod team didn't consider that. Seems even in a place like that, default is still cis white straight binary allo man and proud of it even after I already showed some of those didn't apply.

What kind of inclusive space is that where you have to announce everything about yourself (gender, ethnic background, sexuality, etc) in order to be judged with how much weight and respect your words are given? Should've known that place wasn't for me when folks unironically used the term "yt".

The same mod that gave me my first warning for being "racist" for saying not all cultures view comparing a person to an animal as a negative thing, said to me that because I'm European I don't understand drastic wealth inequality. Seriously.

Although there's quite a few things I'll be doing very differently on top of not assuming discrimination in absolutely everything. I dislike the hypersexualisation of the Avatar fandom in a lot of spaces. Not to say the server wouldn't have spaces for that, but it would be reduced in focus and how explicit compared to the others I've encountered.

I'm no prude, but it sets a really, really bad impression if that's the majority of what's available and seen in feeds. Diversity is important for a healthy anything. Fandoms are no exception. There's not enough spaces for the aces right now. And we're definitely, definitely there.

However, I do have plans for something particularly unique that I'm sure very few other Avatar fan servers could do as a trade off for this. Inspired by some other non-fandom servers I've frequented.

Will keep everybody interested here posted but unfortunately this has happened to me during a very busy week when I'm not able to do as much as I want to. As these sort of things tend to do.

asking from a place of humility and genuinely wanting to know better/more, what does better care for intersex people look like? what actionable items can those of us who aren’t as directly affected by medical intersexism push for to increase quality of life for intersex people? if i were to have a child who came out intersex, are there safety plans i could put in place with our birth care team to prevent my baby from suffering genital mutilation? i don’t want my allyship to start and stop with “ur valid uwu,” i want to really meaningfully help intersex people, and i just feel lost on where to even start. i have really mild PCOS and aside from having more masculine features and some pain from cysts i otherwise function as a perisex person, but i want to do more to help.

(i also don’t mean to act like you the operator of this blog specifically have all the answers, i’m very open to hearing the opinions of other people, you just came across as knowledgeable and i thought you might possibly have some insight.)

Hoohkay this is gonna be a long one, especially because I asked for some help from InterACT's Discord server InterSpace to make a comprehensive answer! I'm also going to tag @interactyouth and @dhddmods as recommended by 'em for you to possibly check out, the first being... well. Duh. It's THE intersex youth advocacy group in the US of A, and the latter because I was told they're really passionate about ending all forms of IGM— and doing general activism. Hope y'all don't mind!!

InterACT Legislative Toolkit (link) — In regards to legislation, InterACT recommends you work with an organization instead of doing so independently, as they've been doing it longer knowing the right arguments, and you can get the right context and support from an organization.

Obligatory "PLEASE add onto this post if you have something you want to share" especially because anon invites others' opinions, and I do too because I'm not a monolith nor do I know everything.

Claps my hands together, alright! Now that those have been dumped, let's get into a more personal answer, what I would say.

BODILY AUTONOMY! A LOOOOOOT OF ADVOCACY FOR BODILY AUTONOMY!! Would probably be my first point. It's something that's often ignored or disrespected in intersex populations, whether that be IGM as mentioned, but also just being able to choose what treatment you do or don't get. This should not only be applied to intersex people too, as this overlaps with those who are disabled and or have chronic illnesses (or anyone else who deserves a say in their medical treatment, which might as well be everybody!), especially when less-educated people believe most if not all intersex variations are disorders, and "disorders need to be fixed".

And in lieu of that bodily autonomy bit and choosing your treatment, I have a personal note that I believe people should be able to choose their hormones— both transgender and intersex people, or hell people not of either group and just want a different hormonal profile for whatever reasons. It's depressing that people assigned female are forced on estrogenizing treatments and assigned males forced on androgenizing treatments even if it makes them feel physically miserable, with no choice unless you do some finaggling about it or you go through the rigamarole of gender-affirming HRT treatment, IF that's even possible in your locale! I vividly always recall an intersex person on here, dabwax, how she was rejected on testosterone BY A NON-BINARY DOCTOR because she identifies as a cisgender woman, and had to struggle to get postmenopausal testosterone medicine. That's not okay, and shouldn't happen to anyone!

As another point to help, DO NOT SHUT UP ABOUT INTERSEX EXISTENCE!! We are often pathologized as mentioned above, as being disordered, broken, in need of "fixing" (which just means looking as perisex as possible). Or people spreading falsehoods on what intersex is. Learn what common misconceptions and stereotypes are and challenge them! Challenge the use of the H-slur and fu-slur, challenge the "um actually intersex people prefer DSD and are still male or female" TERF brainrot! Be loud and be an asshole about your advocacy and make people aware WE EXIST! (and you exist too. you'd be welcome into the InterSpace server for your PCOS as a variation (yes, even if its mild) and they could help you more with advocacy if you'd like 🫶 I link the discord server in my FAQpost!)

The more people know about intersex existence in its truth the more people who can fight for our rights, to not have our bodily autonomy violated as patients, to challenge false assumptions about others' bodies, to have more people realize they may fall under the catagory of intersex (because a lot of intersex people don't know it, even if they have a diagnosis, due to the pathologizing of intersexuality as a "problem needing to be fixed" and the sheer erasure of it), to BELIEVE OUR VOICES AND OUR EXPERIENCES AND NOT DISMISS US!! which is honestly another point to be brought up because oh my god perisex people erase and dismiss us so fucking much it's Unreaaalll you correct someone about their intersexism and they get mad at you like YOU'RE the unreasonable one. Like stop using AGAB as progressive versions of male or female. Stop that. Annoys the shit out of me AGAB doesn't inherently imply someone's body parts or life experiences I keep correcting people on it and they get pissy at me if I keep seeing people do that I'm gonna go crazy insane PLEASE call more people out on these misconceptions and not let people brush off intersex folks as an afterthought pleaseplease please

My headcanons for a 2024(ish) House MD (self indulgent sorrysorry)

- House is canonically bisexual, and instead of hookers (or maybe as well as) he’s very open about his Tinder/Grindr hookups.

- Wilson is still a closet case, somehow. All his friends are queer, he is very active as an ally, but has somehow not figured it out. He even has little pride flags in his office pencil holder.

- Cuddy is a lesbian, she and House still flirt for funsies (worth noting I think her and House still had a one night stand in college before she came out, prompting a running joke that sex with House turned her into a lesbian)

- Chase goes viral on twitter (X) when he starts live tweeting House’s antics during DDx’s (his handle is @thataussiedoc and all his DDx tweets are tagged #mycrazyboss)

- The ducklings make tiktok videos when they don’t have a case. The first time House catches them they are expecting him to call them idiots or throw them out of the DDx room, but instead he joins them. Cue House doing a hilarious tiktok dance.

- Non-binary Thirteen my beloved

- Foreman plays Pokemon Go

- House gets a Nintendo Switch for his office so he can game in there, and when forced to go do clinic duty switches to handheld mode

- House and Kutner will game together when they don’t have a case

- There is a PPTH Diagnostics Dept. Discord server

- Foreman hates Apple products

- Cameron has one of those rainbow pins that says “you’re safe with me” she wears on her white coat

- House learns Gen Z slang and spends an entire episode talking exclusively in it - and everyone else is left trying to piece together what he’s saying

- House is canonically autistic but it only comes out during “Lines in the Sand” or similarly themed episode. I feel like either Chase or Foreman get snippy during the DDx and makes a muttered, offhand comment about House, something to the effect of “yeah well maybe you have autism too” and House is like “well duh.” They spend the rest of the episode approaching the other ducklings, Wilson, etc about how they feel, now that they know that House has autism only to be met with general indifference. Maybe it ends when they go to Cuddy and she reminds them what a great doctor House is and all that and eventually they are forced to confront their own internalized ableism.

Multigender Combination Frequency Map

I got bored, so I started playing around with numbers. I was curious, what is the most common multigender combination that exists? As a specific example, are agender men more common than non-binary women? Well thanks to the gender census 2024 data, I found that out:

Ordered from least to most common, the percentage of census participants that identified as:

Agender Woman | 0.02% Agender Non-Binary Woman | 0.15% Just a Woman | 0.24% Agender Man | 0.36% Agender Man Woman | 0.37% Non-Binary Woman | 0.73% Just a Man | 1.71% Agender Man Non-Binary | 2.02% Man Woman | 2.74% Just Agender | 2.99% Agender Man Non-Binary Woman | 3.84% Man Non-Binary | 6.16% None of these umbrellas OR did not answer gender identity related questions | 10.46% Man Non-Binary Woman | 12.89% Agender Non-Binary | 13.97% Just Non-Binary | 41.34%

MAP:

This is a map (where pink = highest in frequency, and blue = lowest in frequency) that represents the order of frequency based on the values above. To help explain:

Agender Woman = #1 = very blue,

Agender Non-Binary Woman = #2 = blue

Non-Binary = #15 = very pink

Agender = #10 = both pink and blue (purple)

KEY POINTS:

For some reason, agender women don't exist (joke). I have some theories of why this is the case but it's probably a bit too political for Tumblr lol. Many individuals seem satisfactory as describing themselves as off the binary, or off the binary and slightly agender. Only 2% of queer individuals identify as just one binary gender. Essentially, multigendered-ness is very common, alongside identifying as non-binary.

DISCLAIMER:

It is not representative of the general populace, it is representative of individuals who are not solely cisgender binary (as according to the census description). For example, do not take this as "Wow, only 1.71% of the human population are just men!". Instead, take this as "Wow, only 1.71% of genderqueer individuals are just men!".

CALCULATIONS:

This is how I found these numbers.

1. I copied the raw data from gender census form. 2. I created a filter that checked for any mention of man, woman, non-binary, agender, AND their variants such as guy, enby, genderless, etc. I removed any mentions of "Not man", "non woman", etc. as these anti- terms are too ambiguous to work with for this specific research. (thank you for existing, regex) 3. I simplified these terms into just woman, man, non-binary, or agender. I realise that some individuals identify as boys and not men specifically, but for the sake of this research - we're looking at the overall gender umbrella, not the specific language used. 4. I created a count for each possible combination of these four genders. 5. I divided each count out of the total results to get the percentage.
