BnHA Chapter 068: Get In Loser, We’re Going Shopping
Previously on BnHA: We spent entirely too much time on Mineta and all you need to know is that he passed the final despite my best efforts at sending my Mineta-crushing energy out into the universe. Kirishima, Satou, Mina, and Kaminari did not pass, because sometimes life just hits you hard and shit’s not fair. Aoyama straight up asked Ochako if she was in love with Deku and she was like KYAAAAAA and flew away in embarrassment and ended up handcuffing Thirteen on her way out. I don’t know why we couldn’t have seen Iida and Ojiro’s exam instead of Mineta’s, but they also passed. Basically everyone did except the four I already mentioned. And Tomura made a couple of new friends.
Today on BnHA: Tomura meets Dabi and Toga and tries to kill them! Kurogiri sets him straight and Tomura slinks off to sulk. Aizawa announces that Kaminari, Kirishima, Mina, Satou, and Sero have all failed the exam, but that everyone will be going to the training lodge anyway because he loves plot twists. The kids of class A (minus a few holdouts) go to the mall. Everyone splits up. Deku meets some creepy guy in a hoodie. The creepy guy in the hoodie turns out to be fucking Tomura because of course it is.
(As always, all comments not marked with an ETA are my unspoiled reactions from my first readthrough of this chapter. I’ve read up through chapter 137 now, so any ETAs will reflect that.)
apparently Tomura doesn’t like his new friends
“it seems like the two types I hate the most came as a goddamn set” lol. and that’s saying a lot coming from a guy who so far seems to hate mostly everything
basically he doesn’t like bubbly creepy girls or rude assholes
dude even you have to admit they’re better than Stain though
Kurogiri says they should hear them out and that the guy that introduced them is a fairly influential broker. so that’s the hipster guy we saw earlier
this guy wants Kuro to pay him either way lol
okay so now they’re being introduced
holy shit
Tumblr media
blood-draining. that’s nice
her name is Toga. she’s crazy and she likes killing things
and now he’s introducing Inside Out. this guy is extremely intriguing to me already and he hasn’t even said anything yet. let’s see what he’s all about
Tumblr media
lol I already like him. he reminds me of that redshirt bad guy in Iron Man 3 who surrendered to Tony without a fight and was all “I hate working here anyway”
his name is Dabi. or rather, he says that right now he goes by that name
Tomura wants to know his real name and he’s like, ~too bad~
(ETA: okay so I know that there is a prominent fan theory about this guy’s true identity due to his quirk, his appearance, and the fact that he keeps his real name under tight wraps. and also, I think, due to one particularly odd moment in chapter 82. but I’m gonna refrain from commenting about said theory until I’m caught up with the manga, since I’d like to have the full picture first. as of now, my feelings on this are a solid, “I guess he could be?”)
I really like this guy. even though his name immediately made me think, “MASTER HAS GIVEN ME A SOCK”
Tumblr media
to be honest I’d be a whole lot more on board with you doing it than him
uh oh Tomura is triggered by someone talking about Stain. he’s probably the only guy who hates him more than I do lol
wow this motherfucker is charging at my man Dabi now with full intent to disintegrate him for no reason
Tumblr media
oh damn
Tumblr media
thanks for that, Kurogiri. keeping that peace. Villain Mom
interesting panels showing all three of their hands here
Tumblr media
obviously we already know Tomura’s quirk (or part of it), but Dabi’s hand is definitely doing something here too. and Toga’s holding a knife that she seems to have produced out of nowhere. she reminds me of that crazy bodyguard girl in Kill Bill
Kuro’s telling the kids to stop fighting in the backseat
he says Tomura need to expand their organization if he wants to achieve his goals
Tumblr media
??
Tumblr media
fine, be that way you cryptic assholes
(ETA: it’s a little more clear in the Viz version and the anime subs that he was talking about Stain. basically, take advantage of the PR push he gave you, even if you don’t like that it came from him.)
now Tomura’s storming off, presumably to sulk
ah well. as far as things go, that probably could have been worse
the broker guy is saying that Tomura is too young. yep. but he’s All for One’s son so what are you gonna do
(ETA: he’s adopted)
Kurogiri is so fucking polite and smooth
Tumblr media
this is why I said he was a doctor
cut to U.A.!
aww
Tumblr media
no lodge for you
Deku is trying to give them hope but Kaminari’s not having it
Tumblr media
did he actually poke Deku in the fucking eye
here comes Aizawa!
so they’re all sitting down to wait for their exam results
Aizawa says some of them have failed
oh my god
Tumblr media Tumblr media
THIS FUCKING GUY. I KNEW YOU WOULDN’T LET KAMI AND KIRI AND MINA BE LEFT OUT OF THE ANTICS. AND SATOU TOO EVEN THOUGH HIS PERSONALITY HASN’T BEEN AS WELL-ESTABLISHED YET. THAT’S WHAT LODGE ANTICS ARE FOR!!
Aizawa says that everyone passed the written exam, but that the aforementioned four and also Sero (who fell asleep) failed the practical
haha
Tumblr media
he just wants to make it clear that all of the senseis could kick their asses, so don’t go thinking you’re hot shit
Tumblr media
this fucking guy
did All Might get that memo lol
yay I’m so happy
Iida’s standing up and says that if Aizawa keeps pulling this shit, they’re never going to fucking trust him again
Aizawa is like yeah, true, I’ll think about that
he’s not going to think about anything. he’s going to keep right on pulling this shit
he does say that things are gonna be rougher for the kids that failed, and that they’ll have supplemental lessons
but I agree with Ojiro here!
Tumblr media
except for Mineta! but we can just pretend like he’s not there!
they all need to go out and buy some of the things on their packing list, so Hagakure suggests that they all go shopping together!
look at these cute reaction bubbles omfg
Tumblr media
(ETA: Mineta’s bubble was so conveniently placed for me to crop him out, how nice)
Bakugou’s mom buys all his stuff, sorry Kirishima
THE KIDS ARE AT THE MALL
Tumblr media
THIS IS SO FUCKING CUTE WHY DID KHR NEVER DO STUPID SHIT LIKE THIS
I HOPE THEY’RE NOT SWARMED BY THE MEDIA
I’M SAD MY ANTISOCIAL EXPLODEY SON OPTED OUT AND MY GENTLE GOLDILOCKS SON WENT TO VISIT HIS MOM BUT OH WELL
HAS IIDA EVER LOOKED MORE FORTY YEARS OLD IN HIS LIFE THAN HERE IN THIS PANEL WHERE HE’S WEARING A POLO SHORT AND SLACKS AND CARRYING A MESSENGER BAG
FUCKING LISTEN TO THESE SALES PITCHES OMFG
Tumblr media
YOU WITH THE MASSIVE CALVES!!!!
LMAO HE PROBABLY WAS LOOKING TO BUY A NEW PAIR OF KHAKIS
Deku’s looking around excitedly like he’s never been to the fucking mall before
oh shit, barely two minutes there and they’ve already been recognized
Tumblr media
probably would have been even worse with Todoroki and Bakugou there
GASP
Tumblr media
I’m a simple girl. I see a panel of these two being lesbians, I click the “like” button
Kirishima suggests that they split up, and all of a sudden Deku and Ochako are all alone and being cute and awkward
Tumblr media
dammit Aoyama you broke her
now that she’s off on her own she’s thinking “that’s not it... probably!”
okay. it would be fine if it was, but I ship you more with Iida and Deku’s in love with Kacchan so
hmm there’s a panel of Deku all alone surrounded by people and feeling vaguely unsettled
Tumblr media
how eerie
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
hasldkghalsihoihlk
holy fucking shit. right out in the fucking open. he’s got his bare hand on him. he could kill him instantly right here
shit shit shit shit shit
Tumblr media
shit shit SHIT SHIT SHIT
Tumblr media
I’M FREAKING OUT??!?!!
Tumblr media
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
SHIT
Tumblr media
HOW DID PEOPLE READ THIS CLIFFHANGER AND SURVIVE FOR THE WHOLE FOLLOWING WEEK HOLY SHIT
the bonus is just a quick blurb about Toga and how difficult she is to draw. you really think I care about that right now??? jesus.
(ETA: actually it was apparently supposed to be the Mineta costume page for this chapter, and the Toga page for the next chapter. of course, I’m even less interested in the intricacies of Mineta’s costume. so)

💎PAIRING: Izuku Midoriya/Reader
💎WORD COUNT: 2,416 words 12,951 characters

You were apart of the League of Villains. Just a mere school girl like your friend, Toga. It wasn’t until you joined them when you met her. You guys would get along fine and would have fun annoying Dabi together and you trusted her enough to willingly give her a blood sample so that she could impersonate you if needed.
➢One
Two
Three (soon)
After U.A. getting so much attention from the Sports Festival, Shigarki had ordered you to enroll in the school and be a continuous spy for the League. Toga would assist you during the Licensing Exam.
Getting into the school was easy and smooth. Shigaraki had some underground workers forge recommendations for you and the main group of class 1-A automatically liked you with the exception of Katsuki Bakugo. He just rubbed you the wrong way and no matter what you did to charm him he just couldn’t stand the fact that you’d also associate with Izuku.
Over sometime, it had become obvious that Izuku was with All Might somehow, just like Tomura had described to you. You needed to figure out why exactly. The best way to get things out of him would be to see how well your quirk works on him. Your experiments went something like this:
Tumblr media
You waited until Izuku was alone. You noticed that he would run off and speak to All Might. You didn’t hear much but it came to your attention that he did not know how to use his quirk. He often hurt himself and tried to cover it up. It was a sunny spring day and the conditions for stalking the adorable little Izuku was more than perfect.
You watched him train for a bit before revealing yourself. Seeing him so hard at work sparked the ‘Alpha’ in you. You wanted to be the one who could tame this power he harnessed.
“Izuku~” You called out to him. He recognized your voice! The scent of the area changed. It smelled...sweet. Izuku didn’t exactly know you but the scent of you and your presence made him feel comfortable and at ease.
“(l-l/n)-chan!” He replied with a stutter but before he could turn around you snaked your arms around his waist and pulled yourself close to him. The feeling of your breasts against his back enticed him and made him melt on the inside. He was getting contact with the new pretty girl.
“What are you doing out here all by yourself?” You questioned, releasing him from your grasp. He turned around, face red from blushing and more awkward than ever. He was trying to come up with an excuse to throw you off but your stare was so alluring and hypnotic.
"I-I'm just practicing! What are you doing here? I thought I would have more privacy." He muttered, rubbing the nape of his neck and looking off to the left, as he was too shy to maintain eye contact.
"Practicing?" You tilted your head in an adorable way. "For the licensing exam?" You pretended to think for a moment. You knew what he was doing.
Izuku nodded. "Yeah! There's going to be a physical test so I wanted to be ready!" He told you. "Were you trying to find a place to practice too, (l/n)-chan? If you want, I can leave-"
You moved closer to him and silenced him by placing your hands on his chest. "Please, Izuku, call me (y/n). And I was hoping I could do it with you." You chirped with a smile. Your smile made him feel tingly inside. “With me? I thought you’d want to do it with someone else. Maybe with Uraraka or-”
“No, silly. You need to have more faith in yourself. We just met but I can already tell you’re being more than just modest. I saw your performance at the festival. There’s no one else I’d rather train with.”
This made this Izuku ecstatic on this inside. But he couldn’t shake this feeling that he was in danger. He assumed the feeling came from how you interrupting him in his thought and might’ve heard is talk with All Might, but he didn’t want to assume things about you. “Wow, (y/n), that means a lot.” He blushed deepened and he didn’t deny your touch.
You grinned. It was working. Your quirk was nicknamed “Love and Beauty” It’s passive allowed you to get closer to others without trying and it’s main power allowed you to keep someone infatuated with you. Some emotions can cut your power off such as a natural disliking, explaining why Katsuki Bakugo seems to be immune right now. Maybe when he softens up it can work.
“Good”
From that day forward, you gave Izuku extra attention but you would make yourself scarce, allowing him to miss you. He noticed that you called him “Izuku” and not “Deku” or “Midoriya”. It was off-putting at first but he grew to like the sound of his name more and more.
You had realized that you were making a lot of the first moves and felt that maybe you came on a little too strong?
The other students saw the way Deku would act without you. He seemed like he was almost on edge and often zoned out. It was obvious he was developing Separation Anxiety. A side effect of your quirk. You knew that if someone you used it on started acting indifferent then it was working.
Ochaco was the first to figure out what could've been going on. Izuku had a crush on you and you most likely felt the same way if spend so much time with him in private. She disliked that he had been throwing away his social life to master his quirk and then kiss up to you.
She waited until the end of the class talk to him about it.
"Deku!" She spoke cheerfully. "We're all going to the mall again soon. Would you wanna go this time? Aizawa said he would have Principal Nezu beef up security so that we can have a good time!" She explained with her school supplies in hand.
Izuku grimaced and scratched the back of his head. "Oh, hey, Uraraka! I would love to go but I promised (y/n) that we would hang out after school hours." He laughed awkwardly and fiddled with the bandages around his fingers. This made Ochaco frown. "Are you sure, Deku? You haven't really been yourself lately. We don't really hang out anymore."
"I've just been caught up with studying and training. (y/n)'s been a really big help. She always takes care of my injuries so that I'm not always held up at Recovery Girl's office." Izuku smiled his usual smile at the thought of you soothing his wounds. "I understand but-" Ochaco's words were cut off by your appearance.
Without a word, you had snaked your way behind Izuku. Any normal person would have been startled but it was almost like he expected it. "What's taking so long, Izu?" You asked him in a firm but sweet voice with your gaze on the girl in front of you. Your eyes were piercing Ochaco like a sword. "(y/n)! I was just talking to Uraraka. She was inviting us to hang out at the mall today." Izuku replied.
Really, she had invited him, not you but-
"Sorry, we can't do the mall today. Maybe next time. I'll be waiting outside for you, Izu~" you let go of your boy toy and left the room, making sure to let your eyes linger on Ochaco.
She was cute and a good friend but you feared she would figure out your true intent if you hung around her too much. Once you were out of sight, Ochaco continued.
Izuku blushed and laughed nervously. “I-I kinda think she likes me!”
“Deku, can’t you see the way she’s acting. No girl that likes you would keep you away from your friends. Since when was the last time we all hung out together? She’s not good for you.” She lamented.
But her cries fell on deaf ears. Izuku’s system had already been compromised from your quirk. “I’m sorry, Uraraka but it’s all just for the licensing exam.” He reassured her. “I can try talking to (y/n) about hanging out with you guys until then. She's so good at what she does. Whenever I get hurt, she's always there to patch me up. She’s just shy!” He explained.
Ochaco could tell that she may not have gotten through to him but she had to believe in him and she could live with that. It hurt that Izuku was being charmed by another girl. It was so obvious. Izuku inspired her so much and she wanted to be the one and now a sad prang sat in her chest because she had lost a game that she didn’t know she was apart of. You were so beautiful and your energy was so enticing.
“Alright, Izuku. We’ll see you soon. Please don’t keep us waiting too long.” She smiled kindly and left accordingly. “A-Alright!”
When Ochaco passed you on the way out, she didn’t make eye contact, nor did she even breath in your direction. You had picked up on her subtle feelings for Izuku but it was too bad she was in the crossfire.
“H-Hey! Sorry for taking so long.” He ran over to you with his things in hand. Without a word, you gave him your bag of books, which he was happy to carry. “No problem, Izu~”
The two of you began walking. You skipped and twirled around, occasionally glazing and giggling at the green-haired boy.
"So, what type of training are we focusing on today? I think I'm getting better at using small portions of my quirk so that I don't get hurt." He spoke, breaking the silence.
You looked directly at him. A brief silence before he went on. "N-Not that I don't like it when you take care of me. I appreciate you helping out so much."
"Mmm...nope!" you sped up your pace, ushering Izuku to speed up at well. "No? Oh, well, since we're free today, do you...think we can hang out with my friends sometimes? I know Kacchan scares you and it's hard for you to open up but I promise their good people." He cheered, happily. Your facial expression didn't change. You just wore a semi-fake smile.
He was definitely adorable and you didn't want to say no but getting caught up with the other kids could get you into a lot of trouble..
"If you're talking about today, then no. I have something else in mind...like the park." You moved closer look him and linked your arm with his. "I have a small surprise."
Izuku blushed at your closeness and huffed. "Okay then."
Once you got to the park, you found some clean ground under a tree and instructed Izuku to sit your things there.
It was such a beautiful day. The sun was perfect and made your skin look so radiant. The cool spring breeze was refreshing and Izuku couldn't help but bask in your presence. You were truly amazing to him.
So beautiful, understanding, and supportive. You felt so comfortable to be around and he could always smell this pleasant scent while around you.
Maybe this is what love was beginning to feel like.
You sat on the ground. "Come, Izu." You commanded and like the obedient pup he was, he listened.
"I have something important to talk to you about." You took his calloused hands into your soft delicate ones. His friends were going to become a problem soon. Your quirk would wear off if his feelings for you became too complex. You had to seal the deal.
Izuku furrowed his eyebrows. He wanted to feel happy but a nagging feeling on the back of his head didn't want him to. "Is it about-"
You silence him by squeezing his hand lightly and taking a deep breath. "It's not school-related or even exam related. I've spent a lot of time with you since coming to U.A. Before you, I've never had any friends or even someone I liked. I've been casted away and bullied for my looks but you bypass all of that and accept me for who I am." You stopped for a brief moment to locked eyes with him. He used this as a moment to get a word in.
"Of course (y/n)!...You're beautiful! Whoever thinks otherwise doesn't know what they're missing."
He didn't actually mean for that second part to come out. At this point, Izuku was allowing your intoxicating smell to infiltrate his senses. He interlocked his fingers with yours. His scarred skin being so rough in contrast to yours.
"Oh, Izu~" You leaned forward, so close that he could feel the ghost of your lips touching his.
He wanted to kiss you. He wanted to taste your sweet lips so badly.
You let go of his hands and cupped his face.
"You will make an amazing #1 hero. You deserve so mu-" before you could finish your speech, he kissed you.
Izuku just couldn't take it anymore. His hands reluctantly wrapped around your waist. You've used your quirk to charm other guys but you've never let one kiss you.
It felt so real.
He bit at your lip, asking to use tongue and you let him in. The kiss was so gentle and passionate.
When it came to needing air, you finally stopped. The boy back away, huffing and puffing from lack of breath.
Now it was your turn to blush. You placed your hands on you cheeks, as you felt them heating up. "Izu..." You whispered, nervously.
Izuku's eyes widened. "I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to—" He reached out to you but you just turned away slightly.
"I didn't know you were such a good kisser. I can't believe you stole my first kiss!"
"Y-Your first kiss?" He repeated. You giggled madly. "Yes! I took you for a timid one. I thought I was gonna be making all the first moves. You sure did prove me wrong."
"W-Well, I-I don't know what came over me. It just felt...right." He said, honestly. You cocked an eyebrow toward him. "Right? It felt right?"
"Y-Yeah, like...it was supposed to happen."
This was too easy.
"Like fate? So what does that make you and me?" You asked innocently but you already knew the answer.
"I want to be more than just friends! I want to be your boyfriend!"

Tim’s Secret Weapon Pt.9
I’ve been slightly obsessed with @ozmav ‘s Damian Wayne/Marinette Dupain-Cheng pairing as of late, and just saw a post that has inspired me more than anything else has in months, so I felt the need to write it
Summary- Tim has always seen the numbers floating above people’s heads, been able to perceive their threat levels with a single glance. After being a hero for so long he thought he was desensitized to seeing high numbers above people’s heads until Damian brings a new friend home.
Part 1
Part 8
Part 9 (HERE)
Part 10
This will probably be the last update for awhile, I start student teaching this coming week and I’m nervous as all hell right now
____________________________________________
It took a good twenty minutes to calm down the Miraculous Team, during which Max had changed back and needed to feed his Kwami,  Kaalki, before changing back.
Tim mentally edited his profile for the Horse hero, while his brother's teased the teenagers.
Max ????- Baskerville Font Deep Golden 13, Codenamed- Pegasus. Kwami- Kaalki, the Horse. Main Power- Voyage. Time limit of Ten Minutes after using Voyage before Forced Detransformation.
He’d need to ask later if this time limit existed for the other heroes as well. He was also going to have to hack Collège Françoise Dupont’s register to complete these kid’s profiles apparently.
The other heroes offered to detransform as well, but Ladybug suggested they wait until after the meeting Bruce had set up as they only had minutes before he told the other heroes to connect.
“Ready?” Bruce asked as he pulled on his cowl, the domino masks quickly being tossed to the correct brother as the Paris heroes exchanged looks.
“Nope,” Bunnyx answered as she flopped down into her seat next to Viperion, “let’s get this started,”
The Heros of Paris all held hands as they sat on the side of the Conference table that the active camera couldn't see. The Batfamily sat across from them with Batman at the head of the table as he opened the video call.
“Hey Bats,” Flash greets as the founders all joined the video chat, “What’s with the emergency meeting?”
“This is highly unusual for you, Batman,” Superman added, “Should we be heading for the Zeta tubes?”
“While urgent,” Batman answered, eyes narrowed, “What I’m about to say isn’t exactly time-sensitive, but it is dire that we come up with a plan to assist soon.”
Green Lantern raised an eyebrow, “That doesn’t sound good.”
Marinette could feel her team growing restless around her from beyond the view of the camera. After so long trying and failing to reach out, this was their chance to end things. Seeing Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Green Lantern, Aquaman, and Martian Manhunter so close nearly made her heartbeat straight out of her chest.
It was unreal…How much had her world view shifted in the last twelve hours? The blunder of a Billionaire that more closely resembled a zombie gorilla then human if woken up before 8 am was THE Batman, The nearly thirty-year-old police officer that still thought Captain Crunch was a suitable dinner was Nightwing, the man who tried to sneak in and steal macarons out of the oven only to pout when he burned himself was Red Hood, the much too young CEO who routinely did his paperwork in green crayon to anger those filing it was Red Robin, and oh not to mention her boyfriend who had sworn her into secrecy after crying during Tangled was the latest Boy Wonder.
“Paris has been under attack for nearly four years,” Dick answered from where he sat directly to Bruce’s right, “They’ve been fighting the threat alone, despite the villains' potential.   to destroy the world.”
The seasoned heroes all stiffened.
Martian Manhunter was the first to speak, “What is the threat and who are these heroes?”
“A villain known as Hawkmoth rose to power almost four years ago,” Batman told them, “He has the power to control those that express intense negative emotions and give them powers of varying intensity. Ladybug and Chat Noir have been fighting him back since he first-”
“Did you just say Ladybug and Chat Noir?” Wonder Woman cut him off, “Do you perchance mean the Ladybug of Creation and the Black Cat of Destruction?”
All eyes were on the princess as she stared down Batman. He didn’t move but Marinette could feel his eyes flickering past the camera and towards her, letting her make a move if she wanted to.
She hesitated before clicking the button Red Robin had given her to enter into the video call, “Yes. That is exactly what he meant.”
Wonder Woman’s eyes flew open wide as she saw the bright red outfit, arms snapping in front of her, crossed at the wrists, head bowed, “My Lady!”
Marinette cocked her head to the side, confused, “There’s no reason to call me my lady, honestly you just sound like Chat. I’m surprised that any of the League knew of the miraculous.”
Diane lowered her hands, looking up once more, “As you wish Ladybug, and every Amazon know the tales of Ladybug. After all, my mother once wore your earrings and held your mantle with Herakles as her Μαύρη γάτα.”
Ladybug broke into a smile, “Hippolyta… Tikki has told me stories of past users, Πασχαλίτσα was one of my favorites to learn about.”
“Woah, Woah, Woah!” Flash waved his hands frantically, “Are we saying that she’s on par with your mother?!”
 “Now I won’t-”
Diane cut her off, “Yes. All of Themyscira would follow a ladybug into battle as willingly as they follow my mother, their Queen.”
The young heroine blushed as Chat, Bunnyx, King Monkey and Abeille laughed, Viperion Pegasus and Ryuko smiling at the shocked faces on the League’s faces.
“ Good to know my Lady is so highly respected,” Chat finally spoke up leaning into frame from her right. Marinette sighed, honestly surprised he remained quiet this long. Silently she clicked the button that made the camera pan out to bring her entire side of the conference table into view.
“As I’m sure you guessed,” She said to the gathered heroes, “I am Ladybug, and this is my partner Chat Noir. The other members of our permanent team are Abeille, the Bee of Subjection, Ryuko, the Dragon of Power, and Viperion, the Snake of Chance. On our reserve team is Pegasus, the Horse of Teleportation, King Monkey, the Monkey of Jubilation, and Bunnyx, the Rabbit of Time.”
Wonder Woman looked worried, “So many active, your war must be devastating.”
Abeille scowled, “Paris would have been nothing but bloody rubble within a month had Ladybug not had her Miraculous cure. Hawkmoth, Butterfly of Transmission, and Mayura, Peacock of Emotion, have been attacking us for almost four years at this point trying to take Ladybug’s and Chat Noir’s miraculous, and our requests for help from the League have been ignored up until this point.”
“Requests?” Superman questioned as the elder heroes all stiffened, “What requests?”
The Paris team gave them skeptical looks.
“You’re kidding right?” Chat Noir asked slowly, “My Lady and I sent probably two dozen requests for aid since we were given our miraculous before being sent what might as well have been a cease and desist request that was just signed from the league because it was thought that everything that had leaked out of the city had just been fancy video editing and CGI. How could you guys not know?”
“As one of the main reviewers of requests,” Manhunter replied monotoned even as his jaw clenched, “I never saw any of these messages.”
“Yeah man,” Green Lantern added, “Neither did I, and I help out a lot up in communications when I’m not out on business. Plus we’ve never sent out a ‘stop calling us’ message before.”
“Well someone had to reject us,” Pegasus argued, “Logically speaking it has to be someone from the League as the other option is an unknown individual hacked into the League’s database and the only detectable thing they did was delete the messages from Paris.”
“I don’t care who it was, Find them,” Robin growled, white knuckles clutching his katana hilt, “I wish to disembowel them.”
“You will not.” Ladybug’s voice was low and pointed, “Not only have we handled ourselves well, but I won’t condone infighting just because someone messed up. I don’t care who rejected us at this point, Paris has a strong team protecting it and the League is lending us their help now, something that might have been detrimental a few years ago.”
“Detrimental?” Wonder Woman questioned, a twinge of hurt in her voice, “How would the League of been detrimental?”
Flash scratched the back of his head, “Yeah, how would The League being in Paris be bad, kid?"
“Pfft,” Bunnyx just laughed, “Geez, Kids? Could you guys be more condescending? It’s not like we’re seasoned heroes in our own right by now or anything.”
Ryuko's gaze flicked over all of them, “Your trust in us is lacking because of our age, but you want to give us a chance to show you how we operate since we have been taking care of our city. During our battle today the entirety of the Batfamily was watching us from the shadows and yet never felt like they needed to intervene with a team that already works efficiently with each other, yet you still question us.”
“You saw us?” Jason asked a little startled, “Damn Onna-bugeisha, you’re sharp,”
The girl smiled softly, “I appreciate the praise, however, I would suggest not wearing a large bright red bucket on your head next stealth mission. I was already on the lookout for red so it made spotting you and your family easy.”
Dick snorted, “Told you your helmet wasn’t slick,”
Jason just glared and shot back, “Discowing,”
“We’re not speaking of that atrocity. I’m going to need eye bleach to forget it already,” Marinette shuttered before becoming serious again, “The point we were trying to make is that I and my team have your trust. With Wonder Woman, Batman and his team speaking for us, you respect our claim to protecting Paris and the fact that we are the most knowledgeable people when it comes to Miraculous and our villains. Would we hold that same respect in your eyes if you arrived when Chat and I only held our miraculous for a few months? When we were inexperienced and improvising? Or would you have swooped in here with promises to fix things while shoving us to the side, upsetting us to the point where we might have been akumatized because of how little say we were given in protecting our city and stopping the villain that threatened our friends and families?”
The league heroes all shifted a little uneasy. The girl had a point.
Inexperienced heroes had to earn the League’s respect through hard work and proving their worth, something that could have left them open to akumatiation, giving the villain exactly what he wanted.
“Another thing,” Ladybug added eyes scanning over their faces with a serious glare, “This is our city and we have experience with the villains here and what to avoid. With that said, I believe the only members of the Founding Justice League I would trust to be in Paris before Hawkmoth and Mayra are relieved of their miraculous are Batman, Martian Manhunter, and The Flash.”
“What!” Green Lantern yelped, but the Paris team all nodded in understanding.
“Ooh Yeah,” King Monkey cringed, “The last thing I want to do is face an akumatized Wonder Woman.”
“Dude, you’d be the only one safe from an evil Green Lantern,” Bunnyx groaned, “Can you imagine the damage? It’d be like Mr. Mime on Steroids!”
Viperion turned to Pegasus and asked, “If Superman got akumatized what is the likelihood that Luck Charm would just give us a chuck of Kryptonite?”
“Considering she’s dating a Bat,” The younger man started ignoring the bugging eyes of the League, “There is a higher chance that it will just give her an indication to use Voyage to retrieve him and the kryptonite he no doubt possesses. On the 17.85% chance, it gives us Kryptonite, I’d be worried about using it as all of the Lucky Charms are red and black. Red Kryptonite usually causes a bloodlust, or uncontrollable rage in Kryptonians, while Black causes the being to be split into a good and an evil version of themselves.”
“Soooo,” Bunnyx  draws out, “Use Uproar to take their powers away, then the kryptonite so that we just have too really angry dudes fist fighting each other in the middle of Paris?”
Pegasus nods, “Yes that plan holds an 85% chance of working should we be put into that situation.”
Batman just rubbed the bridge of his nose, “Should I ask where you learned so much about Kryptonite?”
“No.” The Paris team chorused.
The Martian looked intrigued, “Back to the original statement, May I acquire what sets us apart from the others so much that you’d be willing to accept our help but not theirs?”
“Easy,” Chat answered, smirking slightly at the flustered looks that still remained on the rejected heroes faces, “Hawkmoth and Mayra prey on negative emotions, whether that’s anger, frustration, fear, sadness, or disgust. The more powerful the emotion the stronger the Akuma or Amok is that we have to face is. Superman, Wonder Woman and Green Lantern are known for using their emotions as strength during a fight.”
“What about Flash?” Green Lantern barked, looking miffed, “The dude isn't exactly Mister Stoic."
"Oh Oh!” King Monkey had his hand raised above his head, “I’ll take this one!”
“Go ahead King,” Ladybug offered with a bemused look.
The Burly teen grinned up at the monitor, “We’ve found there are two great ways to keep from falling into Hawkmoth’s hands, thought considering everyone but Ladybug has been akumatized at least once this is mostly through trial and error. We’ve come to realize that either you need to be like Ladybug, Pegasus, and Ryuko, confident and professional to the point you don’t have time to let negative emotions, and  how Chat and I deal with it and it’s probably the same way Flash deals with the horrors I’m betting all of you deal with on a biweekly basis, if not more.”
The speedster gave a tired smile, “An over cheerful, bantering mask?”
Chat clicked his tongue and shot duel finger guns at the monitors, “Bingo Bongo,”
Abeille rolled her eyes, as Ladybug smacked him lightly over the head, “Nerd.”
King just smiled wider, “Yup! We flirt, we banter, we joke around with our partners and the villains, cause it makes it easier for us to deal with after we're out of danger.”
Superman’s eyes grew a little far away, “You pretend not to take things seriously?”
Chat shrugged, “I mean kinda? It’s more like knowing that if everyone was serious then it would start wearing on us. We’re all people, we can’t stay serious 100% of the time, plus I know that when I crack puns the other may groan but their attacks are a little less sloppy, My lady may say she hates it when I call her Bugaboo, but it pulls her away from a bad headspace and helps her focus. It’s just our way of dealing with the dangers we face.”
“The Heart of the Team,” Batman spoke with a heavy reverence that had each of the seasoned heroes looking over the Paris group with understanding.
“Alright,” Green Lantern sighed, “Supes, Wonder Woman and I will stay out, but why don’t you explain what’s happening exactly in Paris. What is this Hawkmoth guy after anyways? What’s his end goal?”
Ladybug’s eyes grew hard as her team straightened around us, “His goal is to obtain the Ladybug of Creation’s earrings, and the Black Cat of Destruction's ring. Whoever possesses both shall have unimaginable power, and the ability to grant one wish by rewriting the very essence of reality.”
Flash let out a low whistle, “Wow, and his wish is lovely I’m sure.”
Chat’s voice was soft, but held immense weight, “His wish could be of pure intentions and goodwill, but it doesn’t matter, because the balance must be maintained and the price is always much more destructive then one can ever imagine.”
Ladybug nodded in agreement to her partner before taking over, “An Italian father wished for his family to never know sickness like that that took his sister from him when he was young, to live long happy lives free of sickness.  The wish came true and nothing worse then a cold touched the family, even today, but three days after the wish was made the first ship that was contaminated with the Black Plague landed in Italy.”
“A teenager, whose homeland was riddled with war and bloodshed,” Chat chimed in again, even as the surrounding group looked sick, “He wanted for the fighting to stop, for his parents to not have to risk themselves anymore to keep their city safe, for him not to have to take up the blade in only a few short years. His wish was granted the fighting stopped and he no longer had to worry about his family dying to senseless war… because his entire city, the city of Atlantis had sunk into the sea, almost two-thirds of the population perishing as the last third realized they had an unknown ability to breathe underwater and survive the harsh conditions of the sea.”
Aquaman looked uneasy, “So much damage for such simple wishes?”
Chat just nodded, “Balance needs to be maintained, and each wish is a lesson in human’s foolish nature to try and fix the universe for their own needs and wants. The simple truth of the matter is no lesson is painless. Even the Kwamis can’t change that.”

“Why don’t we head to my hotel?” Abeille asked as she stretched. The call to the League had drawn to a close leaving the teens mentally exhausted but giddy, “That way we don’t need to transform again, and we can just tell our parents that we were hanging out in my room instead of each coming up with a cover story. The fact that the Waynes are also staying there just makes it easier for us.”
“Good idea,” Ladybug agreed, “But I want to remind all of you are under no obligation to share your identity if you don’t want to, Red Robin won’t share it with the others even if  they ask.”
“I knew Bruce’s identity for like 6 years before I broke into the cave and asked to be Robin. I think I can manage not to spill your secrets” He revealed with a little laugh as his family gave him strained looks.
The Paris heroes laughed before Pegasus, asked for the room they were staying at, quickly opening a portal.
Alfred simply raised an eyebrow, “Well, I expect the meeting went well then?”
Marinette flopped onto the couch with a groan as her transformation fell away, “You guys were not exaggerating with how much of a boy scout Superman is!”
Jason snorted as the other Paris heroes agreed, “Yeah Supes always had a stick up his rear, but J’onn is looking forward to meeting you guys, the dude doesn’t get off the Watchtower much.”
“Maybe he’ll bring M’gann,” Dick suggested, “She always loves meeting new heroes, and I’m sure she and Supey would love to talk magic.”
“Change first,” Bruce ordered, ushering his children back towards the main bedroom, “Then we can hash out anything else we wish tonight.”

Tim felt himself relax more as the transformations fell around the teens, one by one, each taking time to introduce themselves and their Kwamis to the Bats. Profiles gradually began to fill further in his mind.

????- ?????, Codenamed- Viperion. Kwami- ?????, the Snake of Chance. Main Power- Second Chance. Possible time limit estimated to be 15 minutes after the use of Second chance (in a single time stream).
The only puzzle left on the Paris team.
“So I’m the only one you haven’t figured out yet,” He asked, a considering look flashing over his face.
Tim shrugged, “The miraculous mess with my power so I can’t see your number while you’re transformed so yes. I haven’t figured out a thing about you yet.”
“Well,” Viperion hummed a sly grin as he leaned into The older hero’s space, “I’m not going to give you an easy answer then, Bird boy.”
Tim couldn’t help the indignant huff, “Bird Boy? I’m older than you!”
“Hmmm,” The smirking snake just served to make the other Bat’s share a look at the display, “Well, Bird Boy. Let’s see how fast you can find me,”
“It’s Red Robin-”
“Yumm~”
Tim’s cheeks burned as his brothers, Chat Noir, Bunnyx, and King Monkey cackled behind him, the other heroes hiding smiles. The younger hero finally pulled back and leaped out of the window and disappearing into the night with a final wink at the stunned hero.
"Looks like you're following in B's footsteps," Dick teased clapping his shoulder, causing the others to laugh harder as Tim tried desperately to find his tongue.

Doing the nostalgia thing again.  Go figure, lol.  Anyway.  Today I’m lamenting the early departure of some shows that I watched once upon a time and there are so many.  Too many that (were) ended either right as they were getting good or just weren’t given a proper chance.  Oh what could have been.  Here are some of them, off the top of my head.  This is by no means a complete list because there have been just too many for me to remember.  Feel free to add your own.
I either follow actors/actresses that I have enjoyed in previous shows or get drawn in by the drama or fantasy or utter sci-fi-ness (lol) of it all.
Bunheads
"Bunheads" tells the fish-out-of-water story of Michelle Simms, a once-promising classically trained professional dancer who was drawn to the lights of Las Vegas, where she became a showgirl. After she impulsively marries her persistent suitor, she moves to his sleepy California coastal town, where he lives with his mother, Fanny, herself a former dancer. Fanny now runs a local dance studio. Michelle ends up bonding with some of Fanny's students after meeting them. Among the students are sweet Boo, who struggles with her body type; rebellious Sasha, who has the talent to be a ballet dancer but doesn't have her heart in it because of family issues; shapely Ginny, who's not comfortable in her own skin; and fun-loving Melanie, ready for whatever life throws at her. The students benefit from Michelle's knowledge, but she also benefits from them as they help her adapt to small-town life.
Off the Map
Idealistic, young Dr. Lily Brenner lands at an understaffed medical clinic in a tiny town in the South American jungle. She is joined by other young doctors, all of whom are running away from personal demons. The clinic was founded by enigmatic Ben Keeton, who was formerly the youngest chief of surgery at UCLA. Keeton will teach the newcomers how to save lives in the most-challenging environment they have ever faced.
Defying Gravity
An international crew of eight astronauts -- four men and four women -- sets off on a mysterious, six-year mission covering billions of miles aboard a ship called the Antares. Inspired by the fictional docudrama "Space Odyssey: Voyage to the Planets," the show tells the story of both the astronauts as they explore Venus and the other planets in the solar system, and their supportive and dedicated ground crew. Episodes alternate between the present, on the current mission, and flashbacks to earlier years when the final eight were still in the grueling selection and training process.
Flashforward
Residents of Los Angeles go about their day unaware that a mysterious event is about to change their lives. FBI agents Mark Benford and Demetri Noh are in a car chase; Benford's physician wife is in the middle of surgery; and Benford's friend Aaron Stark works on power lines high above the ground. Suddenly, something causes everyone in the world to black out for just over two minutes. During that time, each person sees a series of events in his or her own future -- some good, some bad, some apparently nonexistent. As people begin to piece together their visions on a worldwide website, Mark and Demetri use the information to try to pinpoint the cause of the blackout, and people are still trying to determine whether destiny can be changed, and what effect those changes may have on others.
Invasion
What if natural disasters were alien smokescreens designed to mask something far more ominous? When a hurricane threatens a small town in Florida, park ranger Russell Poole's young daughter is the only one to see small lights floating towards the water, seemingly unaffected by the vicious winds. At the time, he thinks nothing of her claim, but begins to suspect something may be amiss when his missing ex-wife is found, with no memory of what happened during the storm. In the aftermath of the storm, water-based creatures infiltrate the town and take over the bodies of the town's residents through a cloning process.
V (2009)
Earth has its first encounter with an extraterrestrial race. Calling themselves the Visitors and promoting peace, they seem to be friendly, but their congeniality may be a cover for a malevolent agenda. Erica (Elizabeth Mitchell), an FBI agent, discovers a secret about the aliens that threatens the lives of Earthlings, including her teenage son, who sees them as a sign of hope. Meanwhile, Father Jack (Joel Gretsch), already questioning his faith when the Visitors arrive, seeks answers outside his church and finds other dissidents who believe the Vs are not what they claim to be. The ABC series is billed as a reimagining of a 1980s miniseries by the same name.
Hannibal
Gifted criminal profiler Will Graham has a unique way of thinking that allows him to empathize with anyone, including psychopaths. But while helping the FBI pursue a particularly complicated serial killer, he decides he could use some help and enlists the brilliant psychiatrist Hannibal Lecter. The two form a partnership and it seems that there is no villain they can't catch together, but Lecter harbors a dark secret. His own brilliant mind has gone to the dark side and he has more in common with the criminals they hunt than Will could possibly imagine.
Anne with an E
This reimagining of the classic book and film is a coming-of-age story about a young orphan who is seeking love, acceptance and her place in the world. Amybeth McNulty stars as Anne, a 13-year-old who has endured an abusive childhood in orphanages and the homes of strangers. In the late 1890s, Anne is mistakenly sent to live with aging siblings, Marilla and Matthew Cuthbert, who live on Prince Edward Island. Anne, who proves to be uniquely spirited, imaginative and smart, transforms the lives of Marilla, Matthew and everyone else in their small town.
Pitch
Talented baseball pitcher Ginny Baker immediately rises to fame when she is called up by the San Diego Padres and becomes the first woman in Major League Baseball. She immediately sets in on the task of proving herself to her teammates, starting with team captain and catcher Mike Lawson. The two share an immediate chemistry, putting Mike in the middle of tensions between the beautiful new player and certain teammates who don't appreciate a woman out on the mound. Not all of her fellow Padres are so averse to change, with center fielder Blip Sanders providing support through her journey.
Colony
In the not-too-distant future, Los Angeles has been invaded and occupied by outside forces, causing a rift between the city's residents; some have collaborated with the occupation, while others are rebelling and suffering the consequences that come with that choice. Former FBI agent Will Bowman and his wife, Katie, must consider their familial obligations when making their decision because they were separated from their son, Bram, during the invasion. Proxy Snyder, a cunning and powerful leader within the occupational government, offers Will the opportunity to get Bram back if he works with the invading faction. Will's decision doesn't sit well with Katie, but the couple risk their lives -- and their relationship -- to protect their family.
Life Unexpected
After 15 years of being with different families in Oregon's foster-care system, Lux decides to try her luck as an emancipated minor. As she navigates the legal system in pursuit of that goal, she encounters her birth father, bar owner Nate "Baze" Bazile, living like an aging frat boy with two slacker roommates. He is stunned to learn that he has a teenage daughter and introduces Lux to her mother, radio personality Cate Cassidy, who is sad to learn her daughter has grown up in foster care but thrilled to meet and get to know the girl. She has plenty of opportunity to get acquainted when the judge decides Lux isn't ready to be emancipated and grants temporary custody to her birth parents.
Crisis
A vengeful mastermind ambushes a schoolbus carrying the children of Washington, D.C.'s, elite, abducting the children and their chaperons, and creating a national crisis. The powerful parents -- including the president himself -- find themselves at the mercy of the abductor with nowhere to turn, creating an unthinkable situation that puts the entire nation at risk. As the authorities work to rescue the children, the parents discover how far they are willing to go to protect the people they love.
Emerald City
When a tornado transports Dorothy Gale from Lucas, Kansas, to the faraway land of Oz, her arrival sets in motion a prophecy about a disastrous event known as The Beast Forever and strikes fear into the land's almighty ruler, the Wizard. On her quest to meet the Wizard in Emerald City, Dorothy encounters witches, an amnesiac soldier, a sheltered little boy and many more mysterious beings who will ultimately shape the future of Oz and Dorothy's place in it.

“My Hero Academia” inspired Fashion Week
Earlier this year even when I was just counting down the days till I file my resignation already, I was still so numb from everything but there's this Anime show that pulled me out of it: "My Hero Academia". I was so excited to go home every after my shift to watch it like how I was excited to go home from school to watch my favorite cartoon shows back when I was still in elementary. It felt pretty nostalgic. ☺ I fell in love with everything about it so here I am with my 2nd fashion week project dedicated to the series!
This time I challenged myself by making 7 looks! That's 2 looks more than my first one! I took this opportunity to use new materials for the designs like cotton swab, candle wax, clay, and foil wrapper. I even used more sewing thread for her wig here with different colors! 🤩
Presenting my BNHA Fashion Collection! 😎
Tumblr media

“My first fashion week project was very fun and productive despite the challenges I encountered during the process. I certainly learned a lot, and now I'm headed to my next ball! 🤩 This week I'm challenging myself to create looks inspired by characters from this Anime series I love so much: "My Hero Academia"! 🥳 My goal is to incorporate the character's personality, design, and story with the looks I'll create this week as high fashion as I can. 😊 I'll be sharing what I'll come up with here from today until Sunday (October 4).
Today is the first day, and I'm kickstarting this project by giving you nothing because there's literally nobody here! 😆 Only this vintage-looking ball gown with the letters "UA", the name of their academy, embellished on it (just like how their PE uniform is designed) with matching floppy hat! This whole look and also the absence of the one wearing it is inspired by the girl with the invisibility quirk/power named Toru Hagakure. 🙂 With this design I made sure that even if nobody can see her, you can still clearly see that she's fashionably plus ultra! 😊
One thing I especially love about this Anime series is the fact that it features a diverse set of characters. They even have one who's literally invisible! I just really appreciate that they used different quirks as a symbol of their world's diversity because just like in our world, I believe we are all unique in our own ways and we should all celebrate that. 🥰 - Marv :)”
When I was choosing the characters I'll take inspiration from, I knew I had to do Hagakure. Not because it seems easy but because it's fun and actually challenging! Taste the Fashion Plus Ultra realness! 🤗

“My Hero Academia Fashion Week, Day 2! 🤩 Serving you hot and cold realness sprinkled with introversion and some daddy issues, this is inspired by the undeniable fan favorite, Shoto Todoroki! 🥰
It wasn't on my initial plan to put bangs on it but when I tried to, I realized that it perfectly captured Shoto's mysterious, quiet and calm nature. I know he wouldn't let his bangs grow that long, it was just me being extra thinking it looks so high fashion. 😆 I went for the robelike outfit that's two toned representing Shoto's two quirks, and I cut it in two showing her tummy which is so stylish for me. 👌 Overall, I think it's a simple look but I believe I was able to project that subtle elegance and charisma I see in Shoto with my interpretation. 🥰
Todoroki is really one of my favorite characters from the series not just because of his character's aesthetic but also his depth in general due to his high-pressure and toxic upbringing. I'm just glad that in the recent season, there's already a development in his relationship with his father, Endeavor. I want nothing but the best for him. 🤩 - Marv :)”
"Sia in the house!" is what it seems but it's just my doll challenging her Todoroki fantasy! It was supposed to be a robe but the material I used wasn't the most cooperative. Nonetheless, I believe this is still a serve! 😎

“My Hero Academia Fashion Week, Day 3! 😊 This look is inspired from the ultimate ship of the series, our boy Deku and hospitalization. ☺
I know this project wouldn't be complete without our beloved hero, Izuku Midoriya so here it is! The look is based on his need to be healed after constantly using his much powerful quirk beyond his limit since he's still learning how to have full control of it. I wrapped my doll with bandages, and gave it a plunging neckline to make it look so chic. There's also a touch of sky blue in it since it's a common color used by hospital with their gowns. Then, I added the cane and shades to complete the posh just-got-home-from-the-hospital look! 😎 I didn't have a "Deku" shade of green for the hair though. Nonetheless I believe this "Billie Eilish - Grammys 2019" shade perfectly fit the look I was going for. ☺
Deku is really that protagonist that you'll definitely root for. His character is so well written so I can't help but feel proud of him with all his heroic deeds! Indeed, anyone can reach their dreams as long as they believe, and go plus ultra! ❤ - Marv :)”
Serving you fashionable hospital discharge fantasy! A little fashion won't hurt, baby! 🤣

“My Hero Academia Fashion Week, Day 4! 🥳 The fashion inspiration for this look is none other than the "Alien Queen", Mina Ashido! 😊 Her quirk is the ability to secrete Acid which she skillfully uses for offense and defense! 😍 Without a doubt, she's one of the most lovely characters from the series with her fun and upbeat energy as a student and hero! 🤩
The concept I was going for with this look is to kind of reimagine her character, and this time as a fashionable member of the League of Villains! Anyone should already be warned by the flowing Acid from her hands to her dress that she's about to make ALL FOR ONE proud even with her eyes closed. *Evil Laugh* Just kidding. 😂 Anyway, I had so much fun doing that Acid effect using candle wax! I've been meaning to use it for one of Ayala's looks for a long time now so I didn't let this opportunity pass, and I'm very happy with the outcome! 😭
For the record, this is one of my favorite looks I've done for my doll so far. Cheers! 😭🥳 - Marv :)”
Make way for this diva! One of my favorite looks that I've done so far. I was just so stunned by it the whole time. Even now. Speechless. 🤤

“My Hero Academia Fashion Week, Day 5! 😊 If I were to create a look inspired by Class 1-A's incredible homeroom teacher: Shota Aizawa, I might as well do one that I know will get his approval which is none other than using his yellow sleeping bag! 😂
This had certainly been done by many fan arts already but it didn't discourage me to not do one myself since it's indeed iconic, fun and relatable! I just had to put my own twist on it so it would fit this project I'm doing perfectly. I made it look like a fitted dress with a hoodie while still making it obvious that it's in the shape of a sleeping bag. I also styled her hair in a way that would cover half of her face to channel Aizawa's elusive nature just in case the attachment to sleeping bags isn't enough to do so. 😆 I even added a sleep mask with false eyelashes 'cause why not? HAHA. 😂
I believe I could've done more with this look, but the clay wasn't super friendly to me at all. 😂 Regardless of that, I still think that this is a fun look, and it surely makes me squeal over how cute it is. It's so comfy that even my doll fell asleep during our photoshoot! 😂 - Marv :)”
There was a silhouette I planned on doing with this one which is like the base of a wine glass but I don't think I achieved it. Anyway, still had fun with the clay. I'll shut up now, we wouldn't want to wake up a sleeping diva. 😆
Tumblr media
Instagram caption:
“My Hero Academia Fashion Week, Day 6! ☺ The hero I'm channeling today is the funny and lovable Tetsutestsu Tetsutetsu! 🤩 Simply mentioning his name makes me giggle already. 😆 I find his steel quirk very cool so I knew I had to include him in this project! 😍
The narrative I was going for with this look is a straight guy heading to the basketball court alone with his fashionable streetwear. No one wants to join him out of intimidation from his looks. First of all, he's got an awesome luminous skin tone. He's confidently rocking a crop top which makes their fragile masculinity even more fragile, and he'd rather play using his ball with pastel blue color because he can. They simply can't catch his drip! His daily mental reminder is: "Well, you can't blame them." 🤣
I wasn't planning to do a menswear for this project, but when I thought of the idea, I couldn't let it go! Metallic skin tone, black and white combination plus crop tops for men plus oblong shaped shades and even that pastel colored ball, they're all so thrilling together! I believe that all the colors worked well with each other, and with that I'm sooooo satisfied! ☺ - Marv :)”
Second time doing a male look! Catch all this drip, Mama! 😎 I don't play basketball but if you give me a pastel blue ball, I might. 😅

Instagram caption:
“My Hero Academia Fashion Week, Day 7! 🥳 For the final look of this week's fashion project, I have chosen to create one that's inspired by the current Number 2 Pro Hero, Hawks! 😊
Obviously, I didn't stray away from the basic elements of his overall look, I just really took inspiration from each of it and tweaked some with the hooded trenchcoat with a horizontal V-cut in the middle (which isn't really obvious in the photo 😆), face shield that covers the entire face, and glittered wings! His look is just too good to be changed entirely so that left me no choice. ☺
I'm so excited to see more from Hawks in the Anime! He wasn't really featured much in the recent season since he just got introduced, but he's definitely outstanding already with his personality, quirk and majestic wings! 👑
I'm so happy that I got to finish my second fashion week project! It's been a fun and fulfilling week for me! I can't say this is the first and only tine I'll feature My Hero Academia because there really are a lot of inspiration I have from the series, the ones I featured this week are just some of my many favorites. For the meantime, the long wait for Season 5 continues. 😭😆😍 - Marv :)”
Brace yourselves for the landing of my finale look! Again, I'm just in awe. Speechless. This time, I really felt fulfilled. I just finished my second fashion week project! 🥳
By the end of it, I got this comment from a lovely fellow doll lover who's obviously a BNHA fan as well.
Tumblr media
There really are a lot of characters from that show, and I do plan on making more soon but getting a request like this from a fellow doll lover for the first time means so much to me as someone who's a beginner at this craft. 😭
I'll definitely use everything I learned this week to go beyond! Plus Ultra! 🦸‍♀️🦸‍♀️🦸‍♀️

I had a weird and/or awesome idea for a bat family story.
I don’t think I’m gonna actually write it but I felt like sharing the outline and ideas for the story. This is a mix of a few continuities because I do what I want, and have trouble keeping everything straight. Feel free to add stuff or make suggestions. Now strap in cause I have some thoughts.
So this guy in Gotham is experimenting with transdimensional technology. Oracle discovers what he’s doing and how dangerous it is so she sends the bat family after him. Nightwing, Red Hood, Spoiler, Red Robin, Black Bat, and Robin go after this guy but he sets off a machine and transports them to a different dimension. The main difference of this dimension is that the Graysons never died which set off quite the chain of events, but our heroes don’t know that yet. Cut to this universe’s Batman finding a gaggle of people ranging from early teens to their twenties dressed in weird costumes smoking in a crater. Not to mention a few of them have bats on their chest. This Batman never had a partner outside of Alfred so when they try to explain who they are it doesn’t go great because Batman can’t even imagine working with one kid let alone six. Then he starts to realize a few of these people seem familiar.
In this universe, Dick would have lived with his parents a bit longer but would have eventually been taken by the Court of Owls to become their Grey Son and new talon. Bruce recognizes him after a while because he’s fought him before. It takes a little because he acts drastically different from his unfeeling counterpart in this universe but Bruce probably figures it out after seeing him do some acrobatics, or hears one of the others call him ‘Grayson.’ The realization is pretty jarring for Bruce and it’s really unsettling to see the cold soulless assassin he knows so full of life. He doesn’t tell the bat family that he knows his universe’s Grayson, because that's totally something Batman would do and fun plot stuff later.
He doesn’t know who Jason is AT ALL. He still meets him the same way in this universe but doesn’t take him in. There’s no role of Robin to fill and he has no idea how to care for a child. Bruce does send him to the wayward school for boys but doesn’t really check up on him after that. The whole event becomes a sort of weird story like “remember that one kid who tried to steal tires off the batmobile?” What happens Jason afterward is harder to figure out. Maybe he became a low-level street criminal or a gang leader or ended up in jail. I can’t quite figure it out. What Batman does know is that the boy he meets is using the Joker’s old alias, carries a lot of guns, and looks like he won’t hesitate to use them. None of which is painting a very good picture. This could lead to a cool moment where Bruce, unaware of Jason’s Tragic Backstory™ and fragile truce with his family (Jason is gonna be a lot closer with his siblings in this au), yells at him for this and the others defend him.
Batman probably recognizes Spoiler first. Stephanie would have still gone after her father and created the spoiler persona, even without the inspiration of Robin. However, she wouldn’t have anyone to train her and Batman would be actively discouraging her from going out as Spoiler. That’s not going to stop Steph from being Spoiler but she probably doesn’t operate on a large scale like she does as part of the batfamily. Not only does she have to avoid villains in this universe but also Batman because he doesn’t think she should get involved in vigilante work and tries to stop her when he can. So he sees this version of Steph in a higher tech version of her Spoiler costume and is just so exhausted.
Tim still totally knows who Batman is in this universe. He may not have had Robin to compare to the Grayson’s acrobatics but he would have figured it out somehow. That's where a lot of the similarities end though. Tim would still live with his parents (who are alive) and never really get involved with Batman directly. He became a vigilante because Batman needed a Robin, but here the role of Robin never existed. Tim probably still takes pictures of Batman and that hero worship never really went away. He’s also still an amazing detective even without any formal training. Bruce knows of Tim but doesn't figure out how much he knows, or that Red Robin is an alternate version of him.
Bruce also doesn't know who Cassandra is because he never met her. Her origin stays pretty much the same except she never joins the batfamily. She’d just be out on the streets doing her own thing, on the run from David Cain.
Now with Damian, things get interesting. Another slight change I’d like to make to the universe the batfamily land in is that Damian never left the League of Assasins. Damian has met and fought Batman on a few occasions but Bruse doesn’t know that Damian is his son. Partly because Damian keeps part of his face covered so he can’t see the resemblance. When he meets Robin he has a feeling he’s familiar but can’t quite place it. He realizes this is Talia’s son a little after he recognizes Grayson. Then there's the really intense exchange of “You’re Damian Al Ghul” “No I’m Damian Wayne!” This is extremely shocking for Bruce because of the realization that he has a son. That son is in the League of Assassins! His mother is Talia al Ghul! He has met said son and didn’t even know it! It sets off all sorts of emotions.
As for the actual story, aside from just the general shenanigans of Bruce interacting with the children of his alternate self and trying to get them home, I was thinking that it would start with the alternate universe’s Tim. In this universe Tim is still a genius detective, he’s just not as good because he doesn’t have the training. So he would start poking around in Gotham and discover a huge conspiracy linked to the Court of Owls and decided to figure out just how powerful they are and how deep the conspiracy runs. Cause investigating an all-powerful organization completely on his own with no training is the type of stuff Tim does Batman or no Batman. He only recently discovered the court and is still investigating it when the batfamily show up so Batman isn’t aware Tim knows about the Court or that he’s been looking into them. The Court finds out about Tim’s investigation and send Talon to kill him. The bat family then have to protect this universe’s Tim from Talon, who is Dick. This causes a lot of angst, drama, and family bonding as the batfamily figure out how this universe is different from theirs. I’d love for the other members of the batfamily to get roped into the story somehow too but I’m not sure how. I feel like this story has a lot of potencail and couldn’t just leave it in my head.
Random Funny Stuff for this au
Dick named a lot of the equipment and stuff Batman uses so in this universe things would probably be named very differently.
Tim: We’ll need to use the bat computer.
Alt Bruce: The what computer?
Tim: You know? The large computer set up in the cave?
Alt Bruce: Yeah but you called it the bat computer.
Tim: Well what do you call it?
Alt Bruce: The computer.
Tim: …..that just feels wrong.
Damian: Yes I know this part of the cave. This is where we keep Batcow.
Alt Bruce: Where you keep what?!
Alt Barbra: My name is Detective Barbra Gordon. Give me one good reason I shouldn’t arrest you all right now.
Jason: Looks like Babs is a Badass in every universe.
Dick: Did you expect any less?
Jason: Honestly? No.
Alt Jim Gordon: *Sees the batfamily* Oh dear god they’re multiplying.
During the Talon fight
Talon: I am the Grey Son of Gotham.
Stephanie: Dick, sweetie, I know you like wordplay but this is low even for you. Get some better material.
Jason: Damn Goldie! When you go dark you don’t fuck around!
Tim: I thought if one of my siblings was going to kill me it’d be Robin. But not you Nightwing, never you.
Dick: I appreciate the attempt at humor but can we please focus.
Alt Bruce: I think my alternate self has a problem with adoption.
Jason: THAT'S WHAT WE KEEP SAYING!!!!
Alt Damian: I heard the bat was working with new warriors but looking at you now I doubt you are even worthy to die by my blade.
*Entire batfamily is silent for a moment before bursting into uncontrollable laughter*
Damian: Do I really sound like that?
Tim: He’s even worse than when the brat first showed up! I didn’t even think that was possible!

A New Meaning for Deku
Technically for Villain Month, but doesn’t have much of a focus on the villains so I won’t be tagging it as such. It’s still part of my Villain!Izuku AU though.
Read also on FF and AO3.
This wasn’t how Ochaco Uraraka’s life was supposed to go. Until a few months ago she was on track to her ideal life: get into a good hero school, graduate and become a pro, then earn enough money to make her parents’ lives easier.
That future disappeared the day her father died.
His company was conducting repairs on a large l skyscraper when a local villain fight broke out. A new up-and-coming hero called Mount Lady resolved the issue, but during the fight hit one of the I-beams, causing it to fall and crush not only Ochaco’s father, but five of his employees as well. That was bad enough already, but the hero commision refused to accept responsibility for the accident and spun a story that placed the blame on the company's shoulders, so the insurance company got out of paying the life insurance for dad or the other employees. Since Ochaco’s family were the owners of the company and legally required to pay reparations to the families of the dead employees, that saddled her grieving mother with a large amount of debt.
Ochaco was freaking out about the debt when a kind stranger contacted her. He said he sympathized with her situation and was willing to pay off the debt, on the condition that Ochaco came to work for him. In hindsight, Ochaco should have realized it was too good to be true, but she was desperate. It wasn’t until after they’d struck a deal that she realized he didn’t want her waiting tables or getting coffee. He’d forced her to drop out of school and has now told her to meet with his allies in a seedy part of town.
When Ochaco reached the address her mysterious benefactor directed her too, she found a surprisingly elegant bar open during the day.
A blue-haired boy sitting at the bar looked up when she came in. “Hey! What are you doing here?”
Ochaco swallowed. “Um… I’m supposed to be meeting someone here. You wouldn’t happen to know anybody going by the name All For One?”
The blue-haired boy who’d spoken looked confused. “What do you need with Sensei?”
“Ah, Miss Uraraka. You were able to make it,” a familiar voice said.
“Sir?” Uraraka asked, looking around for the man she'd come to meet. She’d never met him in person, only speaking to him through the phone or email, so she had no idea what he looked like.
“The master isn’t present,” a misty bartender explained. “He prefers to provide instructions through the TV over there.”
“Uraraka, these will be your new coworkers. Tomura, try to make your new team member comfortable. You’ll be working together for a while."
The blue-haired boy -- the one Uraraka assumed was called Tomura -- turned on his bar stool to give her a critical look. “You don’t look like much. Are you sure you’re cut out for this kind of thing?”
Uraraka looked down at her feet. “I don’t know, but I need the money for my family.”
“Hm” Tomura started scratching his neck. “Hey Izuku! Get out here and meet the new girl.”
There was a series of thumps from somewhere upstairs and a plain-looking boy with green hair walked in through the back door. He couldn’t be much older than Uraraka, who was supposed to be in her last year of middle school, and seeing someone else her age made Uraraka relax a little.
“Tomura, who is….” The boy noticed Uraraka. “Oh, you’re… um…” his cheeks darkened. “You’re a girl.”
“Nice observation skills there, Izuku,” Tomura said.
The green-haired boy -- Izuku -- was quick to defend himself. “N-No it’s nothing like that! I just assumed that you’d be a boy when Sensei told us you’d be coming, though I realize now that was somewhat sexist of me. Half the people in the world are girls after all, but I’ve just been spending all my time with Tomura and Kurogiri and Sensei for the past few years so I’m not used to interacting with girls and as such don’t know what I’m supposed to do in this situation…”
“Oi, you’re mumbling again,” Tomura broke into Izuku’s long-winded explanation.
“Eh? Oh, I’m so sorry!” he rubbed the back of his head, looking sheepish. “This isn’t a great first impression…”
“No, it’s fine.” Uraraka walked up to him. “My name is Ochako Uraraka. And your name is Izuku, right?”
Izuku’s face lit up. “That’s right! Izuku Midoriya. I’ll also go by ‘Analyst,’ but that’s more of a codename. This guy,” Izuku pointed to the blue-haired guy, “is Tomura Shigaraki. He and I are practically brothers, so don’t be surprised if I accidentally call him Tomura-nii. That man over there,” he pointed to the misty bartender, “is Kurogiri. He’s the person to talk to if you ever need something or want to talk to Sensei.”
“Indeed,” Kurogiri said. “By the way Ms. Uraraka, the master mentioned that you might need a place to stay for the foreseeable future.”
“Oh! Well, yes, that would be appreciated,” Uraraka turned to speak to Kurogiri. “My mom’s house is too far away to commute, and I haven’t had the chance to go apartment hunting…”
“Don’t worry about it!” Izuku interrupted. “We’ve got several extra rooms upstairs. It’s okay if she stays here, right? Kurogiri? Tomura?”
“That would be foe the best,” Kurogiri said. “You and Tomura have to behave, now that there’s a lady in the house.”
Shigaraki gave Uraraka a hard look. “I guess she can stay.”
“Great!” Izuku was practically jumping with enthusiasm. “Come on Uraraka, I’ll show you where you’ll be staying.” He quickly turned and led her to the back door.
“Okay,” Uraraka started to follow Izuku but stopped. “By the way, what is this place? What kind of work do we do?”
Tomura broke into hysterical laughter. “You mean you came here without knowing that?”
Uraraka’s eyes migrated to the floor. He’s right, I should have figured out what I was doing before I came here.
Tomura spread his arms. “We are the League of Villains. We use our quirks and talents to destroy heroes!”
It finally occurred to Uraraka that she was in way over her head.
---------
There was a light knock on her door. “Uraraka? Do you mind if I come in?”
“Don’t care,” Uraraka said, her voice muffled by the pillow she had over her head.
The door opened and a mop of green hair peeked in. “Are you alright?”
Uraraka moved the pillow down so she could glare at him. “What do you think?”
Izuku at least has the self-awareness to look uncomfortable. “Want to talk about it?”
“My dad is dead, I had to drop out of school, and I just found out I sold my soul to a villain organization to get my family out of debt. Does that sound like alright to you?”
Izuku winced, “Yikes. Okay, I didn’t know about all that.” He walked into the room and closed the door behind him. “You really don’t want Tomura hearing you complain like that. He wouldn’t react well.”
Urarak blinked. “What? Is he sensitive?”
“Sort of? Well, not the way you’re probably thinking…” Izuku scratched his cheek nervously. “Tomura… is ferociously loyal to All For One. He hates it when anyone speaks out against Sensei. Well, he hates a lot of things, but you’ll figure out what topics to avoid after a while."
“Sounds like you have some experience with that.”
Izuku shifted uncomfortably. “There’s… plenty of good times to excuse the bad. I’d rather not talk about it.”
Uraraka looked at Izuku. Really looked. She’d thought he was plain-looking when they first met and that was still true, but now she began to notice little things that told big stories. How his posture was slouched, making him appear smaller than he really was. How his freckles were fading from lack of sunlight. How his skin was paler than it should be. How his clothes were faded and old, worn down in some places. How he looked just… exhausted.
Maybe I’m not the only person who didn’t choose to be here, Uraraka wondered.
“Izuku, why did you join the League of Villains?”
“Wha-um…” Izuku started looking around the room, anywhere but Uraraka. He was rubbing his fingers together, likely a nervous habit.
“You… you don’t need to tell me if you don’t want to,” Uraraka eventually conceded. She’d have plenty of time to get the story out of him.
Izuku looked at her again, but now his face was covered in guilt. “I… I wanted Sensei to give me a quirk.”
“What?”
Izuku opened his mouth and the words came out in a wave, like he couldn’t stop it once he got started. “I was born quirkless. I still don’t have a quirk. When I was a kid all my friends got really powerful quirks and I didn’t, so I was devastated. They bullied me, calling me ‘useless, quirkless, Deku’ and I couldn’t stand it, so when All For One offered to give me a quirk, I jumped at the chance and am still determined to get it by proving to him I deserve one…”
“Whoa! Whoa! Hold up!” Uraraka interrupted. “So, All For One is able to give people quirks?”
“Oh, yes. It’s he quirk. He can take people’s quirks, use them for himself, or give them to other people. I’ve seen him do it for some low-key lackeys like Moonfish.”
“Wow. That’s…” Terrifying. “Interesting.”
Izuku gave her a look like he knew what she meant to say. “Well, it’s the truth. I’m sure that if I help Tomura and All For One with the League of Villains he’ll eventually give me a quirk.”
Something about Izuku’s explanation didn’t sound quite right. Uraraka was sure she wasn’t getting the whole story. “If you’re able to help the League of Villains, doesn’t that prove you don’t need a quirk.”
Izuku’s face fell. “I don’t want to be quirkless Deku anymore.”
“Deku?”
“It’s another way to pronounce the last part of my name. It… well, apparently it means I'm useless.”
Uraraka frowned. “Actually, I don’t think so. It sounds like a hero name to me.”
Izuku looked at her in shock. “A hero name?”
“Yeah! Like, ‘you can do it!’ It would be really inspiring. If I had the chance to become a hero, I would have called myself ‘Uravity’ but Deku actually sounds way cooler.”
Izuku continued staring at her in shock for several seconds. When he finally turned away, it was to stand up and walk to the door. “I… I should probably leave you alone. Kurogiri will get on my case if I finds out I was alone with you and the door was closed.”
“I won’t tell if you don’t.”
Izuku gave her a small smile. “If you want to talk some more, my room is right across the hall. Tomura’s is at the end of the hallway and Kurogiri prefers to sleep in the basement.”
Uraraka nodded. “Thanks, Izuku. I’ll probably come to you if something comes up.”
Izuku turned away. “You know, if you mean what you said about the meaning of Deku, I wouldn't if you called me that. Only you, though.”
Uraraka smiled. “Alright, Deku.”
Maybe there’s a silver lining here.

IT COMES AROUND AND COMES AROUND AND COMES AROUND AGAIN- BNHA CHAPTER 191 REVIEW!!
Welcome to my review of Chapter 191 of the Boku no Hero Manga! I discuss the topics of symbolism, story continuation, and character development- WARNING, THERE ARE SPOILERS!
If you’re fine and dandy with all that, then click the “Read More” below and please, have fun!
ALRIGHTY FOR THOSE THAT DECIDED TO READ THIS… Welcome and hello! We have a lot to go over, so let’s get started!
From where we last left off, we listen in as Dabi confronts both Enji and Hawks. Enji’s eyesight is apparently blurry, as we can see from the slightly morphed panel.
Tumblr media
However, as Dabi gets closer, the haze clears- and Enji identifies him as Dabi, the murderer of Snatch and part of the League of Villains. There’s no true recognition here (sorry Dabi Todoroki fans), but now we see the title- “Ch. 191: Dabi/Hawks/Endeavor”.
Here’s something that I’ve noticed.
Can we look at the chapter title for a moment? At first I looked over the sequence of the names, but after rereading it a few times… something catches my attention, which I will get to at a later point- but do keep the title, and specifically the order of Dabi/Hawks/Endeavor fresh in your brain! Anyways, on to the next pages…
Tumblr media
Dabi sets up a large circle of blue flames, effectively cutting off the rest of the city from Enji and Hawks.
It’s… honestly interesting, as this is also something I realize. Everyone currently present in that room has had a direct, or at least appearance knowledge of Dabi- Yaorozu, Midoriya, Tokoyami, Kirishima, Kaminari, Tokoyami, Tsuyu, Bakugou, Ochaco, Sero, and Todoroki… all of these had confrontations or at least saw Dabi- excluding… Shoji.
It might tie in with the new Shoji arc that was promised to be appearing soon- but who knows? I might be looking too much into it, ahah…
(Side note: HI SEROROKI!!!)
Back to the battle, Enji tries to stand once more- with Hawks, bless his heart, is telling him to stand down so he can protect him- with Dabi claiming he just plans on taking the Noumu… though, as the next page shows, that’s the last thing on his mind. And with that, he proceeds to attack the helpless duo- until thankfully, the bunny heroine Miruko shows up!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Dabi calls for someone named Ujiko… which I don’t know exactly who it is, but I’ll do some research.
The next pages are of Dabi telling Enji not to die before they meet again… and them being congratulated by the media, while Fuyumi, Shouto, Natsuo, and Toshinkori look on… a “happy” ending- well, with Enji losing consciousness.
But then… this part.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When reading through this at first… I was shocked. Hawks, a villain? But- well, let me fully analyze these pages first.
Hawks and Dabi meet in what seems to be an abandoned warehouse, and they talk about… the time of the Noumu attack. Dabi calls it a test for Hawks- while Hawks… tells Dabi that this wasn’t what was planned. The conversation lasts for a few more moments, with Dabi telling Hawks that he would contact him later… in which (sorry hotwings fans) it seems Hawks rather dislikes him, and vice versa as well.
And to my relief- the “Villain Hawks” is debunked a mere few pages later, with Hawks being asked by two officials to go undercover in the League of Villains to lay all their secrets bare… which answers quite a few questions as well.
And that answers many, many questions.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Political things like these take time to plan… which explains Kamino Ward. He wasn’t asked to join the attack on the League of Villains because… well. A hero that attacks them, and then asks to join them? Sounds pretty fishy if you ask me.
And here, we see that… Hawks really is a good person. He’s worried about the casualties that will… occur when he’s off gallivanting with the League of Villains. But he knows that for the big picture, of the world he envisions for the future, it may be something he has to do.
Also, I would like to Qualify Hawks as a Slytherin.
Cough. Anyway.
The end of the page is Hawks walking into Enji’s hospital room…
Tumblr media
His mascara/eyeliner is smudged, possibly meaning… that he was crying.
“Endeavor, I’m sorry.”
“I…”
And here is where I’d like to bring back the title.
Ch.191: Dabi/Hawks/Endeavor
And… well… please notice how Hawks is squished between Dabi and Endeavor.
Dabi, his link to the League of Villains, the risk to his life… and Endeavor, the Hero he’s respected since he was a child, what probably inspired him to become a Hero himself.
Squished between the burden he has to carry, putting his own life in danger to gather information on the League of Villains, and his feeling of comraderie and respect for Enji- his possible wish to just… be a Hero that can inspire like Enji.
I have a theory.
If Dabi is actually a Todoroki, like many of you have been theorizing yourself, then it’s possible… that the story of these three sides, will continue into ways we could never believe at first.
As time continues, he will work closely with both Enji, lying to him about certain things, about his affiliation as double agent, gathering information from the League of Villains, until… the final clash arrives again, much later.
My theory is that Hawks will continue to work with Enji, continue to get closer to the No. 1 Hero as both a colleague, and… possibly a friend- and promptly either be exposed by Dabi as a traitor to the Enji, or be told the truth of Enji’s past.
Either way, he is squished between the League and the Heroes… and I am so, so worried about this poor boy. He’s only twenty-two, four years of Heroing under his belt- it’s a lot.
It’s… I’m very, very worried for him.
But enough about that…
At the final page of the chapter, with Hawks visiting Enji, we see Dabi as well- remembering Snatch… saying that “[I] thought so hard about it I went crazy.” Which possibly means… regret? And yet- another thing to the Dabi is a Todoroki theory, interestingly enough.
Dabi- if he was a Todoroki… thinking of how his family feels… it’s possible that’s what made him go crazy- it’s possible his own family’s feelings is what he is reminiscing about- but that’s just a theory! A Fiiiilllllmmm Theoryyyy!!!
And uh, yep! That’s the end of my review of Boku no Hero Academia Manga Chapter 191: Dabi/Hawks/Endeavor!
Tell me what you think of it down below- and please, reblogs and feedback is very appreciated! Thanks for reading, folks!

Justice League
More than 40 years after their debut on The All-New Super Friends Hour animated series, the Wonder Twins are back. And when their powers activate this time around, things get awkward in the way that anyone who has been a misunderstood teenager (read: everyone) can relate to.
Once a pop-culture punchline – ridiculed more than even Aquaman – Zan and Jayna from the planet Exxor (and, eventually their pet monkey Gleek) return in the new DC title Wonder Twins #1.
In the six-issue comic, appropriately part of DC’s teen-focused Wonder Comics imprint, they still have their superpowers to transform into any animal, or water-based form, and this time they are interns at the Justice League’s Hall of Justice. But they must contend with personal humiliation, overconfidence, and shyness, in addition to super villains.
The title is written by Mark Russell, who previously added depth to the animated character Snagglepuss in Exit Stage Left: The Snagglepuss Chronicles, which imagined the pink mountain lion as a Tennessee Williams-inspired gay playwright in 1950s New York City. The writer's The Flintstones comic was an excellent exploration (and occasional skewering) of American Culture. So why move on to the teens who wear a lot of purple, and bump fists to activate their powers?
In a recent interview, Russell tells us he has long had a connection to the Wonder Twins, and Super Friends was his favorite cartoon as a kid. When Brian Michael Bendis approached him at a comic con, Russell said his colleague barely got the character names out of his mouth before he leapt at the chance to take on the title.
Russell says he has always liked that Zan and Jayna are young enough that it’s ok for them to be “goofy and out there.” But also appreciates they can get into trouble and make stupid decisions.
“Everyone else had to be pure, and good, and infallible,” he said. “The Wonder Twins were the ones who could drive a dune buggy at night after being told not to, and would have to be bailed out by Batman, or Superman...I found that refreshing, and they were super heroes not necessarily on top of their game.”
As such, the title is not interested in making the young adults the butt of jokes. Instead, it explores how these outsiders will find their place in a new high school and on a new planet. But there is a lot of humor in the title. In the first issue’s funniest, painfully awkward moments, readers learn about “thunderlust” – a state when Exxorians become aroused, and can individually either turn into an animal, swap genders, or transform into an elemental force.
Readers first encounter Zan and Jayna at Morris High School in South Metropolis. They are outsiders, and while Zan seeks to impress and “get right with the ladies,” Jayna is painfully shy. Their world is brought to life visually through the art of Stephen Byrne.
Describing the art direction of the book, Russell said he was “looking for something Kirby-esque: magical, a little dark, but very accessible,” and that Byrne delivered with a style that feels like a Saturday morning cartoon with complex nuance underneath, “where the emotional resonance of the characters reside.”
Meanwhile, at the Hall of Justice, Zan and Jayna interact with super friends Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman.
The headquarters (which contains a lot of Super Friends Easter eggs) is something of a workplace environment where heroes might complain about getting assigned a task better suited for another meta. But it also allows for honest and funny human moments. After an embarrassing moment at school earns Zan the nickname he was not going for, Batman and Superman trade tales of their own awkward teenage years. The heroes inevitably must fly off to deal with world-ending threats while the Wonder Twins are left behind to figure things out on their own.
“Their super powers are so limited, and minor, means they’re not the people you’ll call when there’s an asteroid hurtling towards the earth, or when Doomsday is attacking,” said Russell. “They’re the people you’ll call to break up a forging ring, or shoplifters, or something small.”
Their minor-league status presents the twins an opportunity to confront the evil counterparts of themselves. While Superman is something of an adoptive parent to Zan and Jayna, it turns out Lex Luthor also has a group of villains not quite ready for the Legion of Doom.
Enter the bad guy farm team, as Russell called them: The “D-League of Super Villains, The League of Annoyance.”
Made up of original characters, the League of Annoyance use an abandoned toy store as their headquarters. And, like the Wonder Twins, no one takes them seriously.
“One of the villains is Drunkula, a vampire who is also an alcoholic,” said Russell. “He’s trying to maintain sobriety, but everyone expects him to go out and bite somebody, and he’s afraid if he bites somebody, and they’ve had a glass of wine, that he’ll want to bite someone who has had a few cocktails.”
Though an alcoholic vampire named Drunkula is a funny premise, Russell said the Wonder Twins’ interactions with these villains brings up real questions about the use of their powers.
“He is afraid of falling off the wagon, and dealing with real internal issues, but the pressure from other villains to go out and bite people is so great, by the time the Wonder Twins catch up to him, they wonder if he’d be better served by not capturing him but checking him into AA, or something.”
Russell said he writes about the world around him, and the way it breaks his heart, or could do better. And he is doing it through the lens of the Wonder Twins as much as he did through Snagglepuss. He said Zan and Jayna begin to see the menial ways justice is pursued on earth, with the endless cycle of bad guys being caught, breaking loose, and then locked up again. The process repeated ad infinitum distracts from the bigger problems facing society.
“To the Wonder Twins, this looks more like a bowling league than people fighting over good and evil,” he says. “It brings up very real questions about whether this is the best use of their powers, just to bring down these villains who are more sad than anything else.”
But Russell added there is a lot of action to come in the book, and that the stakes will get higher as one super villain joins the League of Annoyance and becomes the “focal point” of the story. He says this story became so compelling for him that he was not able to explore the reasons the twins had to leave Exxor in the first place, but hopes to get another six-issue arc to do so.
In the meantime, Russell said he is having fun with the Wonder Twins, but also taking them seriously. Moreover, he said he thinks other people should, too.
Citing the success of the live-action Aquaman film, and that character’s previous position as super-punchline, Russell said he doesn’t know if the Wonder Twins will ever become part of a mega-franchise.
“But I think that’s largely what the comic is about: Be careful who you don’t take seriously,” he says. “In the end, everyone has thoughts and powers that might surprise you; everyone is capable of greatness in their own way.”

My Favorite Anime’s of 2018
So if I haven’t explained by now, I don’t really have the time to make a youtube video for this like last year which sucks because I would actually put effort into it and make it funny ect. And also considering that winter season as started might as well do it now. So instead of a well put together video, you get a blog post on an almost dead site yay! So incase you were curious on my list for whatever reason, my top 10 favorite anime’s of 2018!
Number 10 - Overlord Season 2&3
Tumblr media
It had been about 2 and a half years since Overlord’s first season aired back in the summer of 2015. And it certainly leave an impression on the Isekai genre as a whole. Fast forward to Winter 2018 and damn, the amount of Isekai animes increased almost ten fold with their being at least 1-3 every season. Overlord  would have its work cut of for it so really stand apart from the rest. And for the most part, it did. It expanded on the world by giving more characters screen time than in the past and seeing how they handle certain situations without Lord Ains and helping to set up a new season. Season II was well worth the wait. If you could get past the first 3-4 episodes of build up that is. The second half felt more interesting and just better written the the first half with could be a drag to watch.  It was pretty surprising to hear at the end of the season that season 3 would be airing in the summer, just 4 months later. But unlike season II, season 3 to me was mostly a bore. It had its moments here and there and certainly gave a few more characters a little bit of a spot light and attention, however, the cgi has some of the worst of the series and of the year as whole. I’d say as bad as Berserk’s remake cgi which is considered to be some of the worst all time. Even though season 3 was mostly a miss, I’m still game to see more of these characters and see their eventual conquest of the world.
Number 9 - My Hero Academia Season 3
Tumblr media
How far My Hero Academia has come since its debut in Shonen Jump back in 2014. Right as Naruto had ended its 15 year long run, My Hero, unknown to most at the time, would take the torch shortly after and run with it. Since then its become arguably the second biggest if not the biggest anime in North America only behind Dragon Ball Super (DBS Broly will make sure of that). Two very successful season’s, a movie screen all across NA. So much so that an extra week of screenings were added. 2018 was certainly a great year for the My Hero franchise as a whole. Season 3 continues right where Season 2 left off as the first half see’s students from classes 1-A and 1-B going on a field trip to an training camp to help hone their powers even more. However, the newly formed League of Villains launch an attack on the camp grounds with their own objective. The climax of the first half see’s All Might face off against his greatest enemy, All for One. With the final moments of the battle being some of the most memorable in not only shonen history, but of all anime. The second half seeing the students trying to go for their hero licenses which will enable them to use their quirks for heroic purposes without needed a pro hero with them. While the final results are a shock, the second half just can’t compare with the first. The final episode of the season is definitely worth the wait. Not only does it wrap up this portion of the story, but sets up the now highly anticipated season 4. Without spoiling it, shit’s about to get fucking real.
Number 8 - How Not to Summon A Demon Lord
Tumblr media
Now... with all the stuff I post and talk about, one might think that Ecchi anime would be my favorite type of anime. Surprise! It isn’t. So when I saw this I was turned off by it think it would be another High School DXD type of deal. Because that went so well this year. But when I sat down to watch it I was surprised that I found myself binging the entire show with 2 episodes yet to air. The story follows a video game otaku shut in whom one day gets teleported to another world. Where haven’t we heard that opening before?! But to his surprise, he’s not himself, but as his avatar from the game he played, which he was an OP Demon Lord. The two girls that summoned him argue over who gets to keep him as in this world, the summoned one is enslaved by those whom summoned it. However unknown to all 3, when one of the girls trys to command him, a spell he casted on himself reflects the magic back and now he has enslaved both girls. We’re still here for the plot right? The show then follows them trying to undo to find a way to undo the spell. To me, it had the SAO affect where the plot might of been dull, but the characters worked well off each other. Especially where the main character is OP, he doesn’t know what the hell is going on half the time as even though he’s a demon lord, he doesn't mean to be. If you’re a fan of the Isekai genre and want to wash away the taste of last years, In Another World With My Smartphone, then I defiantly recommend giving this one a try.
Number 7 - Skilled Teaser Tagaki-San
Tumblr media
This ones a bit of an odd one. The plot is a girl named Tagaki teases her classmate Nishikata. Although he one day vows to get back at her, he fails every single time. The whole anime is essentially a bunch of shorts like in the original manga. It was something adorable and sometime to just watch to pass the time with. Nothing that made you think too hard or was made out to be more than what it is. Although toward the end of the series; a bit of story does come into play with an ending that certainly left those whom watched all the way til the end wanting more.
Number 6 - That Time I  Got Reincarnated as a Slime
Tumblr media
This would defiantly be in my top 5 best anime of the year and just narrowly missed the top 5 of my favorites. Slime is about a man whom gets stabbed and passes. But wouldn’t you know it... He gets teleported to another world yay!!! However he is reincarnated as a slime. Which in most another world animes (except for Konosuba), slime’s tend to be weakest creatures in the world. This little slime however, gets granted with a very OP move that he exploits to it’s fullest. Without giving to much away, the story revolves around him and his adventure in this new mysterious world along with the companies along the way. 13 episodes and I haven’t gotten tired of discovering more of the world and its races. I want to know what happens next because the characters once again, make the show a memorable one.
Number 5 - Laid Back Camp
Tumblr media
Alright the top 5! What did I enjoy more than My Hero and Slime?! An anime about 5 girls that go camping. That’s it. That’s the whole show. Although I will admit, this show isn’t for everyone as, it can get rather boring. With that being said, this has got to be one of the most comfiest anime’s of all time. A show where you can just turn on and shut your mind off from everything going on in the world. The art of some of these shots has got to be some of the best animation of the year. Some of the best moments are when the characters see a lake, a mountain, the sky at its most beautiful moments just before and after the sun rises. All locations visited in the anime are locations in real life where the crew drew inspiration from and recreated it. Seeing the characters react makes the viewer feel as if you’re right there with them experiencing it for the first time. A no pun indented, laid back anime that makes you appreciate the world we live in just a little more.
Number 4 - Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai
Tumblr media
This one in all honesty is extremely hard to explain the plot of. At first glance one might think, oh where we go, another harem.  And even though it almost instigated a war of who is best waifu of the series, it became so much more. Most people who have seen this agree that it pretty much will become an instant classic and on most people’s list, anime of the year. The story follows Sakuta Azusagawa as he one day finds a girl dressed in a bunny suit in a library. However, he seems to be the only one to notice her as no one else bats an eye. The girl who’s name is Mai finds it to be intriguing as well. Calling this  Adolescence or Puberty Syndrome, Sakuta decides to figure out what exactly is going on. Along the way, he forms a friendship with Mai and helps another’s who suffer from the syndrome. The basic summary does not do the show justice, but I still highly recommend it to anyone.
Number 3 - A Place Further Than the Universe
Tumblr media
This is one show that really hits home on a multitude of levels. The story is very quite simple. Four girls who travel to Antarctica. That’s about it. How can that simple plot be relatable is the slightest? I’m pretty sure we’ve all at some point or another day dream of completing our goals in life, our plans our ambitions, that you’ll one day get to. One day, not today because of school, work, responsibilities, not feeling up to it, money being an issue. But one day you’ll get to it. Maybe. It’ll turn to days, weeks, months, years even before you even think about doing it. And before you know it. You’re youth is gone, and won’t be able to do the things you once dreams of doing. Maybe all you needed was that one sign or push to get you moving. This is where the main character comes Mari comes in. She has plans and goals she wants to achieve, but the fear of the unknown and anxiety have always held her back. It all changes when she one days meets a girl named Shirase, whom is the complete oppose of her. She will not let anyone or anything stop her from achieving her dream of reaching Antarctica and searching for her mother. Her mother disappeared 3 years ago and has been trying to fund her way there ever since, despite everyone around her ridiculing her for it. Inspired by this Mari takes that step that she’s been needing and joins Shirase. This attracts two other characters whom have their own reasons for joining for they have also been looking for that push. The rest of the show is them bonding and having experiences they would of never had. The second to last episode is where things really hit the fan. The outcome was known already, but now she’s able to move on and live her life. It was made more special that the journey was made with friends. Reminding us that some experiences, are best experienced with those you love and care for. To not be afraid of the unknown, to take the step toward your dreams instead of them remaining dreams.
Number 2 - Sword Art Online: Alicization
Tumblr media
What the fuck?! Sword Art? Is actually good? What the fuck is going on?! Even though Sword Art is one of my all time favorite series, I will admit, most of it is horrible. Alicization pretty much makes up for most of the bad. We once again follow Kirito as he’s trapped in this new world after being stabbed with a syringe and goes into a coma. Stupid way to get him in there but regardless, this is where the story takes off.  Without giving anything away, if you’ve ever been a fan of Sword Art I highly recommend giving this a try.Because what’s better than one Kirito? Two Kirito’s! With one being blonde.
Number 1 - Darling in The Franxx
Tumblr media
Well, we’ve come to this. My favorite anime of the year, Darling in the Franxx!! It had everything, character development to where each character actually something to offer, ever changing story that left us wanting more, amazing mecha fights and action, a romance that was fleshed out and very well written. Arguably the best anime of 2018. These 15 episodes were simply amazing. Because the series ended at episode 15. Because nothing else happened after. There totally weren’t 8 more episodes.... That completely fucked this series. Studio Trigger literally had no idea where to take the show and it became a cluster fuck. What was a shoe in for anime of the year became one of the most disappointing anime’s of all time. I could probably make a whole video on why it is...... BECAUSE FUCK STUDIO TRIGGER, AND FUCK YOUR SPACE BATTLES. at least we had SSSS. Gridman.. heard that was okay..
Number 1 - Hinamatsuri
Tumblr media
Where do I even begin with Hinamatsuri. I haven’t had this much fun with a comedy since Konosuba. The story is one day, a yakuza member named Nitta has something fall on his head. When he checks to see what hit it, he sees a girl inside this egg shaped box whom turns out has amazing psychic powers and is named Hina. He reluctantly takes her in. For being a comedy/ slice of life anime, this show has amazing character development . By the end of the show, most characters are almost new people by the end of it. The direction of this was handled extremely well and not rushed. It felt more fluid than forced which felt natural for these characters. I had a great time seeing all these different characters interact with one another. A few thing the series touches on are homeless, humanity, running way, acceptance, family, gambling, and money. Each character deals with one or more of these and explores them in depth. And makes one appreciate what we already have. If you’re a fan of comedy and slice of life, then I highly recommend watching.
Well there you have it. Surprised you’re still even here. But thanks for reading all the way through. I really appreciate it. Fuck Darling in the Franxx. 002 and Ichigo are best girls though...

Bookshelf Briefs 8/14/19
Anonymous Noise, Vol. 15 | By Ryoko Fukuyama | Viz Media – Nino has been struggling for so long against herself, or at the very least against Miou, that it’s worth seeing how she fares against actual professional singer at a concert. We find out here when one of the other bands covers an In No Hurry song and asks Nino to join in—which shows off how far she has to go, but also gives her a bit more drive. Meanwhile rain threatens to dwindle their audience, but also inspires them to bring out an older song—one associated with the band’s first vocalist. It helps tie into the theme of moving on and growing that is in this book. Which is good, as the romance is fairly static, though Kurose looks to be stumbling towards a revelation, at least. Still quite good. – Sean Gaffney
High School Prodigies Have It Easy Even in Another World!, Vol. 4 | By Riku Misora and Kotaro Yamada | Yen Press – This volume is at its best when the prodigies are not having it quite as easy as they’d like. The local Duke is furious at what they’re trying to achieve, and launches a fearsome weapon that the heroes to eventually stop, but it manages to cause major damage to the city and causes some deaths as well. Thankfully, the Duke is killed off. Yup, totally dead, despite not finding a body. There’s no way he can come back from that. The service is also less in this volume, though it’s still present, especially in the extra chapter which is basically “why am I surrounded by girls with bigger tits than me?” Next volume promises a love triangle. This is OK, but I think I’d like the LN more. – Sean Gaffney
Killing Me!, Vol. 1 | By Akiyama | Yen Press – There were two volumes of yuri released last month, and one was fascinating enough for me to devote a full review to it. This is the other one, which is far less fascinating, though if you like yuri tsunderes it might be for you. A vampire hunter and vampire are both in high school, and the hunter keeps trying—and failing—to kill the vampire, partly as the vampire does things like attempting to seduce her, etc. and partly as she’s clearly in love but unaware of it. What happens is a series of somewhat tedious scenes that show off this love. There’s also age difference at play here, given the vampire tropes present. Not sure if there’s a second volume of this, but I was going to pass anyway. – Sean Gaffney
My Sweet Girl, Vol. 5 | By Rumi Ichinohe | Kodansha Comics (digital only) – I’ve been waiting for My Sweet Girl to do something that might distinguish it from the pack. It’s been pleasant and cute, but through volume four, it was sticking to the standard shoujo plot lines. I mean, really, the introduction of Kiyodo, the similarly frail classmate whom Koeda befriended in junior high, is just another example of the childhood friend romantic rival trope. But Kiyodo is an interesting tsundere, and I really appreciated seeing Koeda through his eyes, especially his appreciation of how much she’s changed. I hope we’re not supposed to take him seriously as a threat to Masamune-kun, though. Finally kind of good! – Michelle Smith
One-Punch Man, Vol. 17 | By ONE and Yusuke Murata | VIZ Media – Man, it seems like it’s been forever since we’ve seen Saitama show up to a scene and destroy a monster in a single punch, so his arrival at the battle between Genos, two elderly martial arts practitioners, and a nigh indestructable giant centipede—including an epic, eight-page spread for his punch—was immensely gratifying. I’ll just pretend the gag about King pooping his pants didn’t happen. Unfortunately, the arc about the Monster Association is still ongoing, with no end in sight. Hero-hunter Garo I can at least sympathize with a little bit, and now he’s in league with the monsters, so perhaps he’ll make them more interesting by association. This is still a fun title, despite my gripes. – Michelle Smith
Oresama Teacher, Vol. 26 | By Izumi Tsubaki | Viz Media – Arguably kidnapping Mafuyu and locking her in a mansion was not the best move plot-wise, as it takes us away from the school and devotes too much attention to Miyabi’s sister Toko and our villain of the arc, Mr. Maki. Toko fares better here than she has before, but is no Miyabi, and Maki’s tragic backstory does not really tear at the heartstrings like it should. Fortunately, there is always Mafuyu being an absolutely dense pile of girl, and we get that in spades. Every time I found myself laughing hard it was due to Mafuyu reaching new depths of stupidity that I didn’t think were possible—”You’re telling me to make more friends” had me in hysterics. This needs to end soon, but I still love it. – Sean Gaffney
Precarious Woman Executive Miss Black General, Vol. 4 | By jin | Seven Seas – The author almost apologizes for this volume having a plot that runs all the way through it, as it turns out that the heroes organization has been compromised, and after Secretary, of all people, is kidnapped, it’s up to Braveman and Black General to team up and head into the base. This is not to say there’s not a lot of the silly humor that’s the reason to read this—the antagonist realizing how the General had snuck into the hero training course earlier is a great series of “oh crap” images, and while Black General’s solution ended up humiliating her, it also included a very satisfying kick to the groin which was desperately needed. Still more fun than you’d expect. – Sean Gaffney
Requiem of the Rose King, Vol. 10 | By Aya Kanno | Viz Media – So I put off reviewing this for a long time, and while it’s difficult to do a content warning in a brief, here is one: there’s a non-consensual sex scene in this, and while it’s handled in a way that’s not meant to be titillating but disturbing, it’s still here and did not make me happy. It doesn’t help that Buckingham is sitting there on the cover smiling at the reader as if to say “Yeah, I did that. And?” That said, there is one fantastic reason to read this, and it’s Elizabeth, who, like Margaret before her, is getting more and more furious and unhinged, and the faces that Kanno draws to convey this are first rate. This is not an easy read, but I still want to see how it all plays out. – Sean Gaffney
UQ Holder, Vol. 17 | By Ken Akamatsu | Kodansha Comics – This is at its best when it’s revisiting its past, as with earlier volumes. While fifteen wrapped up Negima and gave us an ultra-happy ending, this is not that universe, and there will be no wedding between Chisame and anyone here, as we discover just how Negi got to be what he is and why Nodoka and Yue are on his side. Less impressive is the resolution of the bomb on the space station plot, which involves one of the characters sacrificing their immortality to save the day ’til an ass pull that’s so out of nowhere that even I, a very forgiving person, can’t accept it. Oh yes, and not a fan of Eva/Touta, so seeing Chachazero (revived briefly) nagging her about it did not thrill me. Sill, the Negima stuff was great. – Sean Gaffney
Yona of the Dawn, Vol. 19 | By Mizuho Kusanagi | VIZ Media – Zeno’s sad backstory has concluded, so volume nineteen is mostly transitional. Still, because this is Yona, it’s still really good. First, the group runs into the former site of a Blue Dragon village, whereupon the spirit of a previous Blue Dragon possesses Sinha. He threatens to use the rest of the party as vessels for the spirits of the bandits with whom he was trapped long ago, but then he meets Yona. I loved the panel where this guy just involuntarily starts weeping from being in her presence. She’s able to soothe him in no time, and then she and the boys end up accompanying Riri on a journey to another country. Or, rather, they *would* if they weren’t ambushed in a pleasant-seeming town on this side of the border. Yona is always fabulous, even when it’s just moving the plot along. – Michelle Smith
Yuri Is My Job!, Vol. 4 | By miman | Kodansha Comics – We finally get the climax of the arc here, and it’s handled pretty well given that this series is reveling in yuri tropes while trying to steer clear of any actual yuri relationships. Sumika’s past shows us that, to my surprise, she was not the one involved in the past “tragedy,” though I did like seeing how said tragedy seems to have merely led to an Important Haircut rather than anything more drastic. Still, it does help Sumika realize that she’s not there to stop Kanoko from confessing—Kanoko’s never going to do that—but to be there when the emotions of burying her love get to be too much. As a result, we get two new soeurs… erm, schwesters, and a final lighter chapter whose plot is “Yano’s large chest is too sexy for our room.” Decently handled. – Sean Gaffney
