much to think about.
#i had lunch w my sister today and she was talking abt our dad and abt how him being like emotionally abusive made her a huge people pleaser#and she was like yeah i think you didnt get that as much#you were always the one who stuck to your guns or just didnt talk to him#and at first i was like what bc i literally dont think anything i ever did could be rlly described as actually sticking to ones guns i alwa#felt like i was so avoidant of any conflict w him bc yk i was like. terrified of him. but i was thinking abt it and compared to her i think#like yeah actually shes right? bc i would avoid conflict w him but i did that by like fully cutting off our relationship as much as#possible and she did it by trying to please him all the time. which probably neither were that healthy obviously they were jsut like. our#instincts for how to protect ourselves yk. but the thing is for the past few months i thought i had been learning how to not be so scared#of making ppl mad and to be more assertive and stuff. but i think actually i probably have always had that strength maybe it was just.#kinda beaten down for a while since standing up for myself always made things worse. so the other option to not allow him to treat me like#that was to cut myself off from him. But i still did that yk? idk.#like i was thinking more abt it and#i was the one who left the church at 18. after i moved out but i did. and i didnt hide it after that. my sister has apparently been mentall#out for years now and nobody in our family knows but me. bc she is so scared to disappoint him. and like idk. i always was like why couldnt#i get out earlier bc i know so many ppl who just said fuck you im not going anymore at like 14 or smth and i was like why couldnt i do that#but i guess looking at it from my sisters pov our situation was just really fucking hard. and i guess im realizing i was honestly a lot#stronger and braver than i thought i was that whole time. idk.#lol its like bittersweet. bc it makes it so much more real that it was actually super fucked up. the way we grew up. like i think sometimes#the easiest thing is for me to go haha yeah my dad was kind of a dick and whooaaahhh so crazy i grew up mormon hahah! but its like no that#was fucked up. but look at how i made it through that yk. its kind of making me. idk. develop some more respect for myself i guess#idk idk#ignore me i am just journal posting . lol#exmo tag

Now everything is fine
Pairing: Lewis Hamilton x girlfriend!reader
Warnings: blood, hospital, discussion and mentions of abortion.
Summary: The FIA event brings to light many revelations but also makes some relationships fixed (or nearly so).
Previous part
Tumblr media
Y/N POV
FIA event and for the first time I would be going, not only me but Lewis and the baby.
I put on a black dress that he had bought for me that he said would look great with my tiny baby bump.
As soon as we arrived at the event Lewis and I posed on the red carpet as we knew we would not escape this part and we finally made it inside. We were taken to our table and unfortunately for me it was the same table as the other drivers, so obviously Max was there with his sister which surprised me as she didn't like that sort of thing.
But times change and so do people.
"Y/n?" I hear her voice and Max sees me for the first time that night. "Wow you look beautiful, what are you doing here?"
"I came with my boyfriend." I said pointing to Lewis who was talking to Toto who was at the team principals table.
"Oh I didn't know you were dating him." She says smiling.
"It's recent, for the public actually. We’ve been together for a while" She agrees.
"you're really beautiful."
"Thanks, so are you. I heard you had kids."
"Yes and they are the most beautiful things in the world." She says taking her cell phone from her purse and showing me a picture of them with her and I couldn't help but notice that the boy she said was "Luka" was the exact copy of her brother.
"They are beautiful, congratulations."
"I guess I should congratulate you." She points to my belly and smiles. "Is it recent?"
"Yes, a few months. We don't even know the sex yet."
"You're going to be a great mom, I'm sure of it." I smiled at her who returned there seat and sat down next to Charles since I didn't want to say next to Max so Lewis would be next to him.
"How are you?" Charles asks me.
"I'm fine and you?"
"Fine too, you look fantastic."
"Stop hitting on my girlfriend Leclerc." Lewis says sitting next to me passing his arm across my back.
"That's kind of hypocritical of you to say." Max comments taking a sip of what he was drinking.
"What was that supposed to mean?"
"You telling Leclerc to stop being all over your girlfriend when you are dating my ex."
"Max." His sister speaks up.
"Look Max I'm not your property, the fact that I'm your ex doesn't change anything in my life or your life so stop acting like I dumped you because that wasn't the situation."
"Y/n..." he says and I stand up.
"No Max, I was the one who got hurt so can you stop reminding me of one of the worst times in my life and let me be happy? Is that too much to ask?" Just then I feel a sharp pain and liquid running down my legs and the next thing I know there is blood on the floor. "Lewis."
"Okay calm down, let's go to the hospital."
"Y/n I..." his sister holds him up as Lewis carries me away.
"Lewis the baby."
"It's going to be okay love, just take a deep breath."
Lewis POV
After we got to the hospital they took her to do some tests and I stood outside waiting and the doctor appears and I stand up.
"Is she going to be okay, what about the baby?"
"They are both fine and Mrs. Hamilton will be fine but she needs to avoid stress as much as possible or the pregnancy could become risky so situations that make her too nervous should be avoided."
"All right, thank you." He squeezes my hand.
"She's in room 708, you can go there now.”
I agreed right away hearing footsteps and looked up seeing Max and his sister.
"What are you doing here?" I asked, already getting defensive.
"Is she awake?" His sister asked.
"I haven't gone in yet but if you can check for me I'd appreciate it." She agreed. "Room 708."
"Thanks." She leaves.
"So?"
"My sister wanted to come check on her and I came to apologize." I was surprised to hear those words coming out of his mouth." She doesn't know what I'm about to tell you now and I know you'll keep it a secret."
"What is it?"
"I was going to propose to her the day we broke up, or rather the day I was forced to break up with her."
"What are you talking about?"
"Because I was very influenced by my father and in his mind me getting married at 21 was too crazy so he yelled and said that I would never be anything in life but a husband, that I would never achieve anything in my career and that I would never be a champion if she was in my life. So I gave up the best thing in my life for a chance to win the championship." I just listened to him. "You know how special she is and how easy it is to fall in love with her. And I just want to apologize to you but mostly to her."
"Look, I'll see if she wants to talk to you or not. The argument at the party is what made her nervous and she can't stress any more or she might lose the baby."
"Okay, I'll wait here." I agreed and walked into the room seeing her laughing with his sister.
"Well I'll leave you two alone, I just came to see if you were alright." They smile at each other and say goodbye.
"Hi love." She says in a weak voice.
"Hi, how are you feeling?"
"Weak but fine, the doctor said the baby is fine."
“Yes, the baby is okay and that’s great news.” She smiled.
“Are you ok?”
"Max is here." She took a deep breath.
"I know he is the last person you want to see right now but he asked me to ask if you can just listen to him."
"What do you think?" She asks holding my hand and the other was on top of her stomach.
"I think it costs nothing to just listen but just if you feel up to it, the doctor said you can't stress yourself."
"You can let him in."
I agreed and kissed her forehead leaving the room letting him know he could come in.
Y/N POV
The door opened and he entered the room, gave a half smile and sat in the chair next to me.
"Hi, how are you feeling?"
"Could be better." He agreed. "What do you want? And please if you are going to talk about our situation please don't, I can't stress myself and you know I can't lose this baby."
"I know, the last time it happened broke you." I was just listening. "I just came to apologize. I shouldn't be forcing you to talk to me, you don't owe me anything. In fact I owe you a lot and I'm sorry."
"I don't know if I can forgive you, you hurt me so much and I can't get rid of the feeling of sadness when I see you." He agrees. "But I accept your apology and based on the situation we’re living I will probably be more present in the paddock, so since we will see more of each other next I think we can move on home with our lives."
"I would love that." He smiles and stands up. "Well I’m gonna get going, you probably want your boyfriend's company and I'm here getting in the way. I hope you get better and I know you are going to be an amazing mother."
"Thanks Max."
And after that day I was finally able to move on without having past hurts getting in the way of my future.

Hey, could you write something like Yn and Wanda(or Nat, who you prefer), they are in bed, sleeping, and Yn normally cuddles, but one day, they were feeling hot or something and moves from her, so she notices that and was very sensitive and sad about that situation.
So when they woke up, she doesn't talk to Yn or kissed her, and she told her like, if she doesn't love her anymore
Cuddles
Tumblr media
Y/N: 24 years old Wanda: 26 years old ——————————————————
Y/N'S POV Cuddling is my absolute favorite thing to do, especially with my girlfriend who gives the best cuddles in the entire world.
That's where I am now… laying in our bed, in my girlfriend's arms and watching our favorite sitcom while Wanda's running her fingers through my hair.
Lazy evenings like these are my favorite and Wanda's too. I feel like the two of us were just made for each other.
Wanda's hand stops moving soon though, so I look up only to find out my girlfriend fast asleep which brings a smile to my face. She looks literally like the most adorable human being when she's asleep. To be honest, she's always the most adorable human being, even when she's mad at me.
I carefully turn off the TV and decide to get some sleep as well. Then I cuddle up to my girlfriend again and close my eyes, trying to fall asleep.
I let out a quiet sigh after an hour of just laying and not falling asleep. I don't know why, but I feel so hot and Wanda's arms around me aren't helping it at all.
I sigh, carefully peeling Wanda off of me, and move to the edge of bed. Finally I'm not that hot, so hopefully I'll fall asleep soon.
———————————
"Good mor-" I stop myself when I don't find my girlfriend on her side of the bed.
Wanda always waits in bed until I wake up, so we can go to the kitchen and have breakfast together. I furrow my brows and sit up. Maybe she was called on a mission and didn't want to wake me up, right?
I check up my nightstand for any note from her, but not finding anything. She didn't even leave me any message on my phone. That's really weird…
I quickly put on a hoodie and sweatpants, brush my teeth and head to the kitchen. Hopefully someone will tell me what's going on.
"Oh. Hi, Nat. Have you seen Wanda today?" I ask my best friend as soon as I see her walking the same direction as me.
"Hey. Not yet. I'm just going to the kitchen for breakfast. Wanna join?" She asks with a smile, nudging my shoulder with hers.
"Yeah" I sigh out and give her a weak smile back.
"Are you okay?" Natasha furrows her brows. Ever since I joined the Avengers, Natasha has been like a big sister to me.
"Yeah. Just worried about Wanda a bit. She wasn't in our room this morning and didn't even leave me a note" I sigh.
"You're being so dramatic, Y/N. She was probably just hungry or maybe she wanted to surprise you with breakfast to bed" Natasha rolls her eyes. "Let's go" She says and pulls me to the kitchen with her. "Look who's that" She smirks, pointing at Wanda who's eating her breakfast at the table.
I furrow my brows and walk over to my girlfriend. I put my hands on her shoulders, giving them a rub with my thumbs, and kiss the top of her head.
"Good morning" I smile at her when she looks at me.
"Morning" She mumbles and gets back into eating.
I shake it off and go to prepare my own breakfast. I guess she just had a bad sleep or something.
"What would you like to do today, baby?" I ask my girlfriend with a smile, sitting down opposite her with my own breakfast.
"I'm going for a walk" She answers coldly, standing up and walking away.
"Can I go with you?!" I call after her and get no response.
"What did you do to her?" Natasha asks, sitting opposite me and gesturing at Wanda with her head.
"I didn't do anything. I don't know what's gotten into her" I sigh.
"Looks like someone's in trouble" She smirks, making me roll my eyes.
"I am not. I didn't do anything… Well, I mean… unless I did something in her dream. Wanda had a dream once that you and I kissed… She didn't speak to me for the entire week" I explain, Natasha only chuckling in response. "What?"
"Nothing. You two just belong together. Remember when you were mad at Wanda, because she cheated on you with Vision in your dream?" Natasha raises an eyebrow and my eyes widen.
"Do you think she cheated on me with Vision?! That's why she's being so distant! Oh my god! Nat! What do I do now?!" I panic, looking into Natasha's eyes and hoping for help.
"Calm down. It won't be that bad. Wanda loves you, she'd never cheat on you. Just go to talk to her and you'll see" Natasha chuckles, shaking her head.
"Right. She wouldn't cheat on me, right? I'll just ask and she'll tell me" I assure myself and take a deep breath. "Okay. Thanks, Nat"
I immediately leave the table and rush back to our room before Wanda leaves for her walk.
Should I knock or should I just walk in? I mean… we share that room, but what if I actually did something that made her mad and just don't know what?
"Okay, Y/N. You can do it" I whisper to myself and open the door, finding my girlfriend putting on her hoodie. "Can we talk?" I ask nervously, closing the door behind me slowly. I sit on the edge of the bed, hoping my girlfriend will join me and we'll talk this through.
"There's nothing to talk about" Wanda says, already walking towards the door.
"Are you cheating on me?" I blurt out on which Wanda stops and turns around to look at me.
"Me? You are cheating on me" She states, tears forming in her eyes.
"Me? I would never cheat on you, Wands… Did you have that dream again?" I ask, standing up and walking closer to her, but Wanda only takes a step back.
"I am not stupid, Y/N. It's Natasha, isn't it? You don't love me anymore?" She asks, quickly wiping away the single tear that escaped her eye.
"Of course I love you, Wanda. Natasha is just a friend. You know she's like a big sister to me. I'd never ever cheat on you, I love you more than anyone in the entire universe" I tell her honestly, taking her hands in mine.
"Why did you move away from me last night then?" Wanda asks and I furrow my brows in confusion.
"What?"
"Why did you move to the end of the bed. We always cuddle and you just moved away" She repeats.
"Wanda, I felt extremly hot for some reason and couldn't fall asleep because of that… Did you seriously think I didn't love you just because I didn't cuddle with you during the night?" I ask with a raised eyebrow. I know how sensitive Wanda is about everything I do or not do, but this makes me want to laugh to be honest.
"Stop smiling. It's not funny, Y/N. I thought you didn't love me anymore" She sighs, giving me her 'this is serious, Y/N' look.
"Okay. Sorry" I chuckle. "Wanda, baby, I can assure you that I love you the most and that I really didn't cuddle with you only because I felt hot" I smile, receiving a small smile back.
"I love you too" Her smile widens, so I lean in and peck her lips with a kiss.
"Can I join you for the walk?" I ask, giving my girlfriend a smile and interlocking our fingers.
"I would love that" She smiles in response and pecks my lips once again.
I'm really glad we solved this out that quickly and everything is back to normal. I do need to remember to never stop cuddling with Wanda, even if I feel hot again…

Part 1 Part 3
Master List
Tumblr media
About two days after you went out with Goose and Maverick to the O Club on their first night at Top Gun, your phone rang. Picking it up off the hook, you held it to your ear with your shoulder as you continued to cook yourself dinner.
“Hello?”
“Hey,” Goose replied, adding your name on the end softly. “How’s it going, honey?”
“It’s good. Just making dinner. How’s Top Gun going?”
“Well, you know that woman that Maverick was messing around with at the bar?”
“Yeah, what about her?”
“She’s one of our instructors,” Goose revealed, causing you to pause.
“She’s one of your instructors?” you repeated quietly, grabbing the phone again.
“Yeah. She’s a civilian contractor from the Pentagon.”
You shook your head and hung it for a moment as you prepared a scolding for the next time that you saw your twin brother. Picking your head up again, you let out a breath.
“You know, of course, my stupid brother picked his instructor to flirt with at a bar full of plenty of other women,” you replied, shaking your head. Smiling bashfully when you heard Goose’s loud laugh from the other end of the line, you looked down at the ground. “And what about you, Goose? Staying out of trouble? Going grey from keeping Maverick out of trouble?”
“Not yet, no,” Goose mused humorously before he trailed off. There was a brief pause and you momentarily wondered if the call dropped, but then Goose’s voice cut through again. “Actually, I was wondering if you would be up for some . . . trouble?”
“Trouble?” you repeated, confused.
“The drive-in,” Goose clarified with an embarrassed laugh. “You know, like we talked about at the O Club?” You opened your mouth to respond but Goose beat you to it with a disclaimer. “But if you’re busy or it was just a joke or I’m just bad at reading signals, that’s totally fine.”
“Goose,” you called before he could ramble on, “I’d love to go to the drive-in with you.”
“Really?”
“Yeah, silly Goose,” you teased, earning a relieved laugh from him.
“Well, when are you free, honey?”
“Let me see,” you hummed, glancing up at your calendar.
Thinking over your options, you grabbed the phone and covered it with your hand so that Goose couldn’t hear anything that you did. You took a deep breath to summon some courage before placing the phone against your ear again.
“Are you free tonight?” you asked softly.
“Tonight?”
“Yeah,” you replied more confidently. “I mean, I know that it’s late notice and everything, so if you’ve already got plans, I understand.”
“No, no, no,” Goose quickly responded, sounding like he leapt to his feet. “I’m free tonight.”
“Great,” you breathed out, trying to quiet your heart flutters. “Pick me up at eight.”
“Yes, ma’am. I’ll see you then.”
“Great. Bye, Goosie.”
“Bye, honey.”
You hung up the phone and let out a breath before a giddy laugh escaped your lips. Holding your hands to your mouth to quiet yourself, you leaned against your kitchen countertop. God, you felt like a teenager again. You glanced up at the clock and quickly straightened up.
“Holy shit, I have no time!” you scolded yourself before running over to your bedroom.
Meanwhile, in Goose’s temporary housing, Goose was anxiously sorting through his collection of Hawaiian shirts. He didn’t want to wear anything too aggressively patterned or bright but he also didn’t want to look drab and boring. He eventually picked out a soft and silky white and gray Hawaiian shirt with white birds and dandelion seeds on it.
Goose took a quick shower, made sure that he smelled like cologne rather than jet fuel, and styled his hair. Pulling on his hand-picked Hawaiian shirt and slipping on his shoes, Goose grabbed his keys and was about to head out the door when Maverick walked into the house.
And, well, Goose almost shit himself.
“Hey, Mav,” Goose called nervously, trying to not sweat through his shirt. “What’s going on?”
“Nothing,” Maverick replied, shrugging his shoulders. “Just wondering if you wanted to go and grab some dinner in town.” Maverick noted the nicer Hawaiian shirt and the clear smell of Goose’s fancier cologne and smirked. “But it seems like you already have some plans.”
“I wouldn’t call them plans,” Goose tried to laugh off but Maverick was annoyingly persistent.
“No, no, you’ve got a date, don’t you?” Maverick asked, proudly smiling at Goose.
Oh, if only Mav knew which girl Goose was taking out.
“I’ve got some . . . events that I need to attend,” Goose replied, trying to skirt around Maverick. He patted his pilot on the shoulder and forced a smile that definitely wasn’t extremely anxious before slipping out the door. “But we’ll get dinner in town tomorrow, Mav, okay?”
“Wait, wait,” Maverick called, turning for Goose. “Don’t forget protection.”
“I’m not going to need that,” Goose desperately tried to insist.
“Better safe than sorry,” Maverick reasoned, ducking inside for a moment.
Goose tried to not shit his pants again when Maverick tossed him condoms from his bathroom. Catching them, Goose quickly shoved them into his back pocket to try and avoid looking at them. Those condoms were cursed now. He was going to have to throw them away or something. He was not using those condoms. And especially not with you. Not after that.
There was definitely a spot reserved for him in hell for this whole shitshow.
“I don’t want to become an uncle just yet,” Maverick joked, causing Goose to instantly freeze.
“What?” Goose choked out, trying to not pass out.
“Well, I’m obviously going to be the godfather of any of your kids, right?” Maverick quipped, walking down the front steps towards Goose.
“Oh, yeah, of course, Mav,” Goose agreed, nodding quickly.
So, Maverick didn’t know about this date with you. Phew.
“Hey,” Maverick called, grabbing Goose by his shoulders. “Relax. Girls like confident naval aviators. You look like you’re about to shit out an egg there, Goose.”
“I’ll keep that in mind, Mav,” Goose replied, gently nudging Maverick’s hands off of him. “Thanks.”
“Any time. Let me know how it goes.”
“Oh, I will,” Goose chuckled, walking over to the Bronco. Once Maverick was inside his own housing unit, Goose quickly added, “not.” Gripping the steering wheel tightly, Goose rested his head on his knuckles and let out a string of curses. “You’re one sick bastard, Nick Bradshaw. There’s no saving you now after that.”
Straightening up, Goose took a deep breath and started the Bronco to go and pick you up. He just hoped that the rest of the night went smoothly after that fiasco. The fiasco that he definitely wasn’t going to mention to you.
Meanwhile, you were back at your house, finishing up getting ready. Holding up two shades of lipstick, you tried to figure out which one worked better with your dress. And maybe which one would be better at convincing Goose to kiss you at some point in the night. Picking the bolder shade and remembering some tips from your coworkers, you finished applying it as the Bronco pulled up.
Quickly shoving your lipstick into your purse and a few other things just in case you needed a touch up, you moved to lock up your house. Your dress swished and twirled as you hurried towards the Bronco. Goose leaned over and opened the door for you, which made you smile.
“Hey,” you greeted him as you slid inside.
“Hey, yourself, honey,” Goose replied with a wink, which caused you to laugh. “Do you know where we’re going?”
“Yeah, I’ll give you directions,” you promised, pulling on your seatbelt.
The drive-in was about half full when you and Goose rolled up. Goose parked the Bronco towards the back and you set up the speakers before settling in for the movie. But you were quite sure that no one came to the drive-in for the movie, based on the number of cars that were foggy or rocking back and forth only ten minutes into the film.
“Some people don’t waste any time,” you remarked, noting the car right in front of you.
It wasn’t exactly the largest car and it wasn’t jacked up like the Bronco was, which probably made it easier for it to rock back and forth. But holy hell they weren’t even trying to be subtle. You shared a look with Goose and couldn’t help but burst out into laughter at the scene.
“Maybe he’s shipping out tomorrow,” Goose joked, leaning back in his seat.
“Got to get it in,” you giggled, sharing a smile with Goose.
About twenty minutes into the film, however, you could understand why everyone else in the drive-in seemed to be far more interested in their fellow vehicular occupant than the actual movie itself. The thing was a complete bore. And that was what you got for getting antsy and picking the day without checking the movie.
“Maybe I should have picked a different night,” you stated, turning to Goose with a sheepish smile.
“No, no, no,” Goose quickly stuttered out, shaking his head rapidly. “No, I’m having a great time.”
“Goose?”
“Yeah?”
“Do you even know what the main character’s name is?” you asked softly, trying to hide your grin.
“Well . . . he looks like a . . . John?” Goose guessed incorrectly, causing you to laugh quietly.
“I’ll look at the movie list first next time,” you replied, leaning back in your seat.
“No, it’s fine,” Goose insisted, turning to face you. “Let’s just ignore the movie then.” Resting his head on his hand as he smiled over at you, Goose simply focused on you and nothing else. “Talk to me, honey, how was your day?”
“Fine. I had the day off work, so I caught up on a lot of errands and things. Nothing quite as exciting as being a RIO or anything like that.”
“Hey, now, placing a stamp on the corner of an envelope at the right angle takes a lot of skill,” Goose joked, earning a smile from you. “Are you working tomorrow?”
“No,” you stated, rotating over so that you were facing him fully too. “So, I’ve got all the time in the world for you right now, Goosie.”
“You flatter me, honey.”
“I’m trying to,” you quipped, shooting him a wink.
You and Goose stared into each other’s eyes for a long moment, just taking in each other’s presence. Goose glanced down at your lips as you slightly parted them. Your heart started to stutter as Goose leaned in a bit closer, causing your eyes to slowly flutter closed. But when you were able to literally feel Goose’s body warmth, he paused in his approach.
“I don’t want to misread the situation and dig myself a hole that I’ll never get out of, so do you want me to kiss you or—”
You leaned up and connected your lips in a soft, short peck, cutting off Goose’s question. Pulling back with a small smile, you opened your eyes a bit.
“Yeah, I’d really like you to kiss me.”
And that was all the indication that Goose needed to lean forward and press his lips to yours. You quickly responded to the kiss, gently cupping Goose’s cheek with your hand. Your lips moved in sync as the movie completely forgotten, and nothing else mattered except for each other.
Goose pulled back a bit and trailed kisses down your cheek and neck. You felt like you were floating on Cloud 9 and sucked in a breath when Goose pressed against a spot behind your ear that caused your grip on him to tighten.
“No marks,” he promised you, pulling back slightly.
“I don’t care about that,” you replied, pulling his chin up and back to your lips.
You slipped over, moving to sit on Goose’s lap while never breaking the kiss. Goose wrapped his arm around your waist to hold you to his chest and trailed a hand up to your hair. Feeling you start to grind down on him, Goose grabbed your ass.
“Careful, honey, these jeans are already tight,” Goose breathed out, nipping at your chin.
“Well, you’re free to lose them if you’d like, Lieutenant,” you replied, pressing a heated kiss to his lips. “Otherwise, I can get off.”
“Don’t you dare,” Goose returned, causing you to chuckle and nuzzle Goose’s nose with your own.
“Don’t have to tell me twice.”
You and Goose reconnected your lips as your hands started to roam a bit more. And you were so caught up in each other that you didn’t even notice that the rocking from the car right in front of you stopped and a familiar face emerged.
Slider sat up in his car and glanced around the drive-in. Looking back in his rearview mirror, Slider paused when he recognized the car. A bright blue Bronco. Goose had that car. And then Slider’s eyes nearly popped out of his skull when he noticed a familiar woman sitting in Goose’s lap.
Was that . . . Maverick’s sister?
Holy shit, Goose went to the drive-in to mess around with Maverick’s sister.
You pulled Goose down with you onto the front seat, the both of you far too wrapped up in each other to notice Slider staring back at you. Slider let out a low whistle as he shook his head.
“Goose, you dog,” he chuckled, unable to help the smirk.
“What was that?” Slider’s date asked, sitting up as well with her top on properly now.
“Nothing, just watching the show.”
Back in the Bronco, you and Goose were still making out. This wasn’t exactly how either of you planned for the night to go, but it was like as soon as your lips touched for the first time, you couldn’t get enough of the other. Kissing Goose felt like coming up for air after being underwater for so long and you didn’t want to stop.
Trailing your hand down his back, you slipped it into the back of his jeans. You intended to just give him a teasing squeeze, but paused when you felt a wrapper. A condom wrapper. Pulling back from the kiss, you sat up a bit and pulled the condom wrapper out to inspect it.
“Oh, no, I didn’t,” Goose stammered out nervously.
He was worried that you were going to interpret him bringing a condom on your first date as him assuming that you would put out on your first date. And he didn’t want to seem like you were just a conquest or some forbidden fruit that he wanted a taste of and nothing more.
“Your brother caught me as I was leaving and he gave it to me and—”
“—My brother gave you this condom?” you nearly screeched, whipping around to face Goose.
“Not like that!” Goose quickly shouted, starting to mildly panic. “He doesn’t know that I’m out with you right now—”
“—Well, I would hope not if he handed you a condom,” you deadpanned, staring down at it again.
“No, of course, I just—I didn’t think that I needed it—not that I don’t want to have sex with you—I mean, I do if you want to but I’m not expecting sex with you—not that I don’t want to be intimate or have a physical relationship with you, but I don’t want just a physical relationship because you’re more than just a hook up to me and—”
“—Goose,” you cut him off, worried that he was going to go on for the rest of the night.
“Yeah?”
Goose winced, expecting for you to want him to drive you home and never speak about this night again. But you simply studied the condom for a second before turning back to him.
“This is your condom?” you asked holding it up.
“Yeah, why?”
You shrugged nonchalantly and handed the condom back to Goose. He tossed it in the glove compartment for now and planned to destroy it later. You smoothed down your dress and your hair before turning back to Goose. You were a bit flustered after reading the label and offered Goose a small smile and tried not to glance down at his jeans.
“No reason.” Three seconds later, however, you burst out into laughter when you realized just how badly your lipstick bled all over Goose’s mouth. Your remaining lipstick was probably smeared just as badly all over your own face. “Oh my God, it looks like I ripped your lips apart with my lipstick.”
Goose pulled down the visor and checked in the mirror to see, in fact, that your bright red lipstick was slathered all over his lips, chin, cheeks in random patches. Closing up the visor, Goose turned back to you with a proud smirk.
“I’ll wear it like a badge of honor, honey.”
“I’ll fix you up before you go home. There’s no way that you’ll get it all off on your own,” you giggled, trailing your finger around his lips.
Goose puckered his lips and pressed a kiss to your finger, causing you to smile. He gently grabbed your hand and rubbed his thumb along the back of it.
“This is going to be complicated, isn’t it?” he asked you softly, causing you to nod slowly.
“Yeah, but I think that you’re worth the trouble,” you mused confidently.
“That’s the nicest thing that someone has ever said to me on a first date before,” Goose joked, threading his fingers through your own. The two of you smiled at each other before Goose added, “But it’s probably best that we take things a little slower than normal.”
“Yeah, definitely,” you agreed, nodding along.
The two of you turned back to the movie for a brief moment before Goose turned back to you.
“But we can make out slowly, right?”
You let out a laugh and cupped Goose’s cheeks with your hands, pulling him back to your lips once again. And all was well in the world. But with a witness to your supposed-to-be secret date, it was probably only going to last for so much longer.

Chapter One
Y/N’s POV
I decide to take my bike down to the Pier since it’s nice out. I text my biker friends to see if anyone is free to join me. I get a text from Leo and Cleo Aetos, the twins who have become my close friends since I moved to LA over a year ago. I walk out to my bike after dressing in proper clothes and grabbing my backpack. I turn on my bike and rev it up before texting them the meeting spot. After driving for a few minutes, I spot their bikes in the distance and I pull up next to Cleo.
“Y/N there you are,” Cleo says with a smile. I smile back and turn off my bike.
“Ready for a ride?” Leo asks and I nod.
“Always ready for a ride,” I say with a chuckle. We start our bikes and put our helmets on.
“Race you both to the Pier parking lot,” I say and drive off. I hear them chuckle through our shared com channel and race after me. Once we get there, we park in two of the empty spaces near the front of the parking lot. Once we turn off our bikes, we take off our helmets and make our way to the Pier. I love coming here, especially on days I just wanna relax and not worry about creating content for my TikTok and YouTube. Leo, Cleo, and I make our way towards different small shops on the Pier and eat some food.
“How are you and Sara doing Leo?” I ask
“We’re doing good, planning on proposing to her soon,” He replies with a smile. I smile back at him, excited to have Sara as part of our family we have formed.
“That’s so exciting,” I say
“Plan to do it during date night tomorrow,” He says
“I helped him make the reservation since he was busy,” Cleo explains and I nod.
“Always having your sister do the phone calls I see,” I say with a giggle. He shakes his head and punches my arm playfully.
“Oh shut up Y/N/N,” He says and I laugh.
“Do you make Sara do it for you?” Cleo asks, teasing her twin. He makes a face at us and we all laugh. After we finish our food, we continue our walk on the Pier. I spot the Ferris Wheel and look over at Leo and Cleo. They make a run for it and I follow them laughing.
“Last one there is a rotten egg!” Leo exclaims. I run faster and run past Leo but I can see that Cleo is catching up to me. I somehow manage to get there first with Leo behind me and Cleo last. She laughs and shakes her head.
“Damn Y/N you’re fast,” She says and I laugh.
“Did track in high school so I know how to run pretty fast,” I explain and she nods.
“So Y/N do you like anyone?” Cleo asks
“Nah I don’t. Never really found someone that has caught my eye,” I say
“You think you will find someone here?” She asks
“Maybe but I don’t know. Guess only time will tell if I find someone here or not,” I say
“Well if you do let us meet him so we can see if he’s a douchebag or not,” Leo says
“Don’t worry, I will,” I say and we get on the ferris wheel.
Small time skip
We decide to call it a day when the sun was setting. We spotted at a spot on the pier and watched as the sky change colors. I smile and take out my vlog camera since I’ve been recording clips here and there throughout our stay here.
“Beautiful sunset at Saint Monica Pier,” I say and Leo laughs.
“Always vlogging Y/N,” He says
“You can always tell me to not record you,” I say
“I know just teasing,” He says with a chuckle. I laugh at his antics and shake my head. After turning off my camera, we all agree to head on a night ride to close the day. As I turn to start walking back, I collide with a brick wall. Looking up, my e/c meets brown ones and I can notice that they have a story to tell.
“I’m sorry, should’ve been looking up and not on my phone,” He says with a small smile.
“Told you Noah that would happen,” His companion with brown hair and white streaks at the front of his face says.
“Oh shut up, Davis” Noah snaps back and shakes his head. I giggle and shake my own head and smile at the two of them.
“So your name is Noah and your friends name is Davis? I’m Y/N,” I say and he smiles.
“Nice to meet you Y/N,” He says and I smile back.
"Nice to meet you," Davis says
“Likewise,” I say
“Nice tattoos,” Noah says and I smile.
“Could say the same thing about you,” I say and he chuckles.
“Well give me your number so we can talk about them,” He says, rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly.
“Is this your way of asking me to hang out?” I say with a smirk. He nods with a small smile and puts his hands in his pockets.
“Yeah,” He chuckles and I shake my head laughing.
“Alright as long as you don’t murder me,” I say and take out my phone. We exchange numbers and make more small talk until Leo calls me over.
“That's my cue to go,” I say and walk away from him.
“I’ll text you!” He shouts and I laugh.
“You better!” I yell back and catch up with my two friends.
“So Y/N got a guys numberrrrrrrr,” Cleo coos and I feel my cheeks heat up a little.
“Oh shut up Cleo,” I say and she laughs.
“Come on, let's go on that night ride,” Leo says, rather annoyed. We laugh and get on our bikes, going for that nice long night drive.

Scoops Ahoy
Tumblr media
pairing : max mayfield x buckley!reader
warnings : none
summary : y/n is robin’s younger sibling and loves hanging out at scoops ahoy with their sister and steve. and they are even happier when max and el come walking in with some pretty big news.
First Person POV
“No because that movie was boring as hell.”, Robin said while browsing through the same magazine she’s been reading the past few days.
“Literally not true but whatever you say.”, Steve replied while doing his hair in the reflection of the fridge.
We’ve been sitting in the back room of Scoops Ahoy for about half an hour now, since no one decided to come in. The past few weeks I would spend most of my time here. First and foremost, because of the free ice-cream. Secondly, because I surprisingly actually enjoy spending time with my sister and Steve. And lastly, my friend group isn’t really my favorite place to be at the moment. We didn’t fight or anything, but since El and Mike started dating, Lucas and Max have their thing going on and Dustin left for camp the entire summer, I didn’t really enjoy hanging out with them any longer. Will and I would meet up occasionally and play D&D, but besides that, I haven’t seen them much. Hearing Max and El just gush about their boyfriends all the time actually made me throw up. Especially whatever the hell is going on between Max and Lucas gave me the ick for some reason.
“But what do you know about movies Harrington?”, asked Robin, raising her eyebrow.
“Well, I-, I’ve watched movies before. What are you? Some kind of professional movie watcher?”, Steve responded acting offended.
“Yeah, that’s exactly what I am. Plus I’ve got great taste. Tell him y/n.”, Robin countered.
“Yup, she’s got great taste.”, I responded.
“Of course you would say that y/n. Robin basically blackmails you with free ice-cream. But guess what y/n, I can give you just as much ice-cream, plus I can scoop way better than her.”, Steve said confidently.
“I would love to keep listening to you lying but I think somebody just came in. See you losers.”, and with that Robin was gone.
After Robin left I was just about to keep arguing about the fact that there is no way one person can scoop ice-cream better than another, but then I heard my sister calling for me.
“It’s your friends y/n!”, she shouted from the other side.
I guessed Will would come in to see me, so I got up and went to the counter. Because who else would come to visit me at this point. But to my surprise, it were the two people I would have least expected to see.
“Hi y/n!”, El said while smiling ear to ear. Max looked just as suspicious. Although I was more than happy to finally see them again in a long long time, I couldn’t help myself but feel weird about it.
“What is going on?”, I asked, obviously confused.
“Nothing.”, Max shrugged.
They looked at each other funny and their grin just widened.
“Yup, I’m out. I’ll be in the back if you need me.”, Robin said patting my shoulder.
Robin left me standing awkwardly behind the counter, not knowing what to say or do. The entire situation just felt really uncomfortable and now I expected the worst. What if they tell me that they want to marry their boyfriends? No, they aren’t that stupid. Or are they? No they aren’t. Being so caught up in my thoughts, I missed Max now standing right besides me, pulling me towards a table by my arm. She pushed me onto a chair and sat down in front of me with El next to her.
“Listen, you guys make me really nervous and I feel really uncomfortable right now. If there’s one thing I learned during summer, it’s that we all need to communicate our feelings more openly. So I’ll start-“
“I broke up with Lucas.”, Max almost shouted, interrupting my heartfelt speech.
“And Mike lied to me. I’m really upset with him.”, El added.
“So we went shopping to remind El that boyfriends are stupid anyways and life can be just as fun without them.”
“Friends don’t lie but boyfriends do all the time.”, El grinned while nodding.
“Yes, that’s what I taught her.”, Max said.
I stayed silent for a minute, checking their faces to see if they were lying. In fact, they were telling the truth. A grin spread across my face and I couldn’t help myself but feel happy about Max’s confession.
“Besides, we’ve been bad friends to you. We neglected you and our friendship during the past weeks and we are-“, Max started.
“-really sorry.”, El finished the sentence.
I got up and hugged both of them, smiling from ear to ear.
“Forgive and forget right.”, I said, knowing well that I forgive but never forget. But they didn’t need to know that.
“And uhm, if you want to, you can join us y/n.”, Max almost whispered.
“Sure, I would love to.”
“Great. But I really need to go to the toilet first.”, El replied while getting up.
After El left for the toilet, there was an awkward silence between Max and I. We’ve never had those before. Before her and Lucas hit it off again, we would hang out almost every day. We had sleepovers, went to the arcade, had hour-long walks, watched the stars at night, visited abandoned places, skipped school together just so we could go to the skate park before anyone else was there. But when Lucas and Max got back together, we met less and less until we didn’t see each other at all.
“So uhm.. How have you been?”, Max asked, breaking the silence.
“Oh just fine. I’ve been spending most of my time with Robin and Steve actually.”
“Great.”, she said, pressing her lips together.
“How about you?”, I asked, taking a seat next to her.
“Just fine. I just..”, she went silent for a second. “I just missed you I guess. Like, a lot. Maybe. But I know it’s my fault so I shouldn’t whine about it whatsoever. I just want you to know that I missed you.”
Max tried to hide the blush that crept upon her face but I didn’t miss that tiny moment of sincerity in her eyes. Her hands went straight to cover her face, seemingly embarrassed of her feelings towards the situation. I reached out to grab her wrist, softly pulling it towards me, away from her face.
“It’s okay Max. I missed you too, you know. Like, a lot.”, I gave her a soft smile, which she returned gratefully.
She grabbed my hand, interwining our fingers with one another. Her smile was contagious. The way her entire face lights up the second the corners of her mouth go up has always made me feel warm inside. Her thumb gently brushed over the back of my hand, while she starred at my face.
“Are you alright Max?”
“Yeah, I just wondered how I never-“
Max stopped herself from continuing since El made her way back to the table. She took her hand back to herself and smiled at her.
“Should we go?”, El asked.
“Sure, I’ll just grab my things, be right back.”
I sprinted towards the back room, just to see Robin and Steve peeping through the door slot. They greeted me with suspicious smiles, acting even weirder than usual.
“Okay, what’s going on?”, I questioned them.
“You like Max.”, Robin said, wiggling her eyebrows.
“You like her. We saw everything.”, Steve added.
Robin rolled her eyes. “Great Steve, that’s really-“
“Did you stalk us? Wow that’s gross.”
“No-, we- we didn’t, I mean- not literally-“, Steve tried explaining himself.
“You messed up Harrington, give up.”, Robin nudged his shoulder and went back to reading her magazine.
I quickly grabbed my backpack and left the shop, not wanting to support their suspicions. But walking towards Max, seeing her smile at me, I caught myself thinking, maybe I do like her.

When the levee breaks
Pov (Y/n)
I don’t know how we are going to win this whole apocalypse thing with my brother being a blood junkie and my best friend hating me. “Okay. Let me out. This is not funny.” Sam kept screaming and we all could tell he was starting to get angry. “Damn straight.” Dean was not budging. “Guys, come on. This is crazy.” “Y/n?” I didn't even know how to answer. “No. Not until you dry out.” “Look, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have lied to you. Just open the door.” Sam was starting to get desperate. “You don't have to apologize. It's not your fault. It's not your fault that you lied to us over and over again. I get it now. You couldn't help it.” “I'm not some junkie.” “Really? I guess I've just imagined how strung out you've been lately.” “You're actually trying to twist this into some kind of ridiculous drug intervention?” I walked up to the door.
“Look Sam we just care about you.” “Guys, I'm not drinking the demon blood for kicks. I'm getting strong enough to kill Lilith.” Dean huffed in disbelief. “This is about as far away from strong as you can get. Try weak. Try desperate. Pathetic.” “Dean!” He was starting to let his emotions swallow him. “What Y/n!? It's the truth.” “Killing Lilith is what matters. Or are you so busy being self-righteous you forgot about her?” And of course, Sam threw it right back. “Oh, Lilith's gonna die. Bobby, Y/n, and I will kill her. But not with you.” “You're not serious.” “Congrats, Sammy. You just bought yourself a benchwarmer seat to the apocalypse.” He started to close the cover to the little window with its closing Sam scrambled to try to appeal again.”Dean, look—no, wait—” It was mumbles after that and Dean stomped upstairs. Bobby followed. I put my head on my door. “I'm sorry Sam…”
Tumblr media
I went straight to the fridge for a cold one and downed it like it was the last one on earth. Bobby took notice. “You've never been one to drink like that.” I laughed at my situation because what else is there to do. “Yeah well, end of the world causes for a special occasion right?” I held up my beer like it was to something grand and noble and took a swig. “You ok?” “Bobby why wouldn’t I be okay, I mean my brother is under our feet getting dried out from demon blood and my so-called best friend basically hates me so yeah I'm doing great.” “What happened?” I had to reel myself in to make sure I wouldn’t release the cry that I had been choking back. “He said… that I was a distraction and that I was using him and we aren't… friends.” A teardrop slipped into my beer.
“Why would he think that?” I really thought about it and what we had been through together and how he not just saved my brother from Hell but saved me from well … me. “I don’t know Bobby I don’t know what happened when he was in Heaven. To be honest, I'm more scared of what happened to him, the rest of the Angels are a bunch of dick bags. He was practically there because of me Bobby.” At this point, the tears had broken through and my eyes were burning from not blinking. “How am I supposed to help Sam when I'm just a distraction. I should just leave and let Dean do this I've never been a good hunter.” Bobby took in my words and he said something in return that would always be with me.
“Are you kidding me!? Not a good hunter? Y/n Winchester, you better be possessed or I'll be pissed. You are one of the best Damn hunters I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. You never give up on the people who need you even though the whole world is against you, doesn't matter how many monsters, gods, Demons, or Angels. you fight for the people who can’t fight for themselves that is what makes you a good Hunter Y/n Winchester. I can’t count how many times you have saved us and that’s including Cas. I think you saved him in an entirely different way and if he can’t see that then he is the dick bag.” Now I’m crying for a whole different reason. I bear hug Bobby and he does the same.”Thanks, Bobby.” I sniffle. “Anytime kiddio.” But around the corner was Dean listening to the whole thing now mad as Hell at Castiel for breaking his little sister’s heart.
Tumblr media
Dean had been standing outside thinking about what to say to Cas. “Well, it's about time. I've been screaming myself hoarse out here for about two and a half hours now.” Cas had appeared in the shadows. “What do you want?” “What do you mean?” “No, you don’t give me that bullshit I heard what you said to Y/n.” “I had to Dean.” “Really!, you had to break her heart!?” Cas looked confused. “Her heart?”
“YES Cas, her heart she’s in there crying out in pain because you told her she was just a distraction!” Cas looked like he was deep in thought thinking about what Dean had just said. Dean huffed and half laughed at Cas’s look. “I mean after all you two have been together through this year you say that to her.” “Dean you need to understand that I can't have friends. I can’t have that.” “Why because of me and this “mission”.” “Yes.” Cas was very cold in his answer but in the back of his head, he was starting to question what Y/n meant to him.
Tumblr media
“Correct me if I'm wrong, but you willingly signed up to be the angels' bitch?” Apparently, Dean had a little convo with Cas. “I'm sorry. You prefer 'sucker'? After everything you said about them, now you trust them?” “Come on, give me a little credit, Bobby. I've never trusted them less. I mean, they come on like shady politicians from planet Vulcan.” “Because what other option do I have? It's either trust the angels or let Sammy trust a demon?” “I see your point.” “You hear that?”
Sam had stopped screaming. All three of us run down to the demon cage. We open the little window to see Sam freaking out. “What if he's faking?” Sam was writhing on the ground. Then he gets flung to the wall by some invisible force. I’m the first one in there. “SAM!” We run over to him and struggle to get him down. “We're gonna have to tie him down for his own safety. Dean? You with me? Dean! Before he has another fit.” Bobby was screaming out and it looked like Dean was out of it. “Yeah, yeah. Let's just get it over with.”
Tumblr media
“I'm gonna ask one more time. Are we absolutely sure we're doing the right thing?” Bobby asked out loud. “Bobby, you saw what was happening to him down there. The demon blood is killing him.” Dean was very steady in this decision, “No, it isn't. We are.” “What?” “I'm sorry. I can't bite my tongue any longer. We're killing him. Keeping him locked up down there. This cold turkey thing isn't working. If—if he doesn't get what he needs, soon, Sam's not gonna last much longer.” Dean looked at me like could you believe this.
“Look maybe if we talked to him and tried to figure out his thinking. Sam is smart he wouldn't do this for shits and giggles.”  “Y/n he is beyond talking to he lied to us.” “He’s still our brother Dean.” “He is our brother that’s why I'm not giving him demon blood. I won't do it.” Then Bobby asked a question that terrified me. “And if he dies?” “Then at least he dies human!” “I would die for him in a second, but I won't let him do this to himself. I can't. I guess I found my line. I won't let our brother turn into a monster.” “I know you don’t mean that.” I said my piece and left the room.
Tumblr media
The next morning we found out that Sam had escaped Dean and I were now driving towards him. Bobby was on the phone. “Us finding Sam? It's gotta be about getting him back, not pushing him away.” “Right.” “I know you're mad, Dean. I understand. You got a right to be, but I'm just saying. Be good to him anyway. You gotta get through to him.” Dean was quiet. “We will Bobby, we will.” I answered. I hunged up. “Dean he’s right we can't screw this up.” “Like you said Y/n we won’t.”
We got in the hotel and up to the sweet that Ruby and Sam were staying. We sneak into the room and Ruby is packing some clothes. Dean tries to stab her they struggle and he throws her to the wall. Just as he was going to stab her. Sam rushed in.”No. Let her go. Just take it easy.” He fishes the blade out of Deans hand. “Well, it must've been some party you two had going, considering how hard you tried to keep us from crashing it. Well, solid try, but here we are.” “Dean, Y/n I'm glad you're here. Look. Let's just talk about this.” I’m about to say yes but of course Dean didn’t like that. “Soon as she's dead, we can talk all you want.” “Ruby, get out of here.” “No, she's not going anywhere.” Ruby left in a hurry, “Look Dean I hate her as much as you do but let's talk about this.” He ignored me.
“She's poison, Sam.” “It's not what you think, Dean.” “Look what she did to you. I mean, she up and vanishes weeks at a time, leaves you cracking out for another hit—” “She was looking for Lilith.” “That is French for manipulating your ass ten ways from Sunday.” “You're wrong, Dean.” “Sam, you're lying to yourself. I just want you to be okay. You would do the same for me. You know you would.” Sam still is holding the knife and Dean looks at it and Sam throws it on the bed. “That sounds great. As long as it's you and us. Demon bitch is a dealbreaker. You kiss her goodbye, we can go right now.” “I can't.” “Sam please!” I pleaded and he ignored me too. “Dean, I need her to help me kill Lilith. I know you can't wrap your head around it, but maybe one day you'll understand. I'm the only one who can do this, Dean.” “No, you're not the one who's gonna do this.” “You don't think I can?” It’s starting to get intense.
“No. You can't. You're not strong enough.” Oh shit. “And who the hell are you?” “I'm being practical here. I'm doing what needs to be done.” “Yeah? You're not gonna do a single damn thing.” “Stop bossing me around, Dean. Look. My whole life, you take the wheel, you call the shots, and I trust you because you are my brother. Now I'm asking you, for once, trust me.” “No. You don't know what you're doing, Sam.” “Yes, I do.” “Then that's worse.” “Why? Look, I'm telling you—” “Because it's not something that you're doing, it's what you are! It means—” “What? No. Say it.” “Dean don’t!” I tried once more to try to stop something being said that can't be taken back. “It means you're a monster.” Sam nods. A tear falls from Dean's eye; Sam doesn't see it before he punches Dean. Dean goes down hard, then gets back up and watches Sam for a moment before punching back.
Sam and Dean fight, Sam dominating. Anything in the room that can break does. Dean hits the floor and doesn't get up. Sam pins him down, choking him, then lets go. “SAM STOP! STOP!” He doesn't so I did what I had to. I tried to pull back but he didn't budge instead he knocked me back so hard that my head hit the floor with a huge force. It started to bleed. “Oh god N/n I'm sorry I didn't mean to.” He starts to walk toward me. “Leave her alone!” Dean yelled out and Sam backed away. “You don't know me. You never did. And you never will.” Sam starts to walk out the door. “You walk out that door, don't you ever come back!” And he did. “Sam come back!” But he didn't.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
OMG next chapter is Saeson finale. Like that is crazy I'm so grateful and... I'll save the speech for the end. I love this conflict between Cas and Y/n. And maybe we will see them come back together or maybe not you will just have to see. until next time dear reader XOXO gossip girl. ;);)

More Than You Know \\ soukoku
Chapter V: 🍃 Gone 🍂
POV: Chuuya
(1,103 words)
It's Monday now, just barely. 1:00.
I had the same nightmare I've been having since Friday. I feel cold and clammy, almost feverish, and I know I won't be able to go to sleep again anytime soon, so I don't.
Carefully, so as not to wake Kouyou, I tiptoe into the kitchen. But as I draw closer I hear a sound, a soft sound, it almost sounds like laughter. I look around for a weapon but only find a vase.
Vase in hand, I peek around the corner.
There's no intruder, my sister sits with another girl at the kitchen table. The other girl has chin-length black hair and wears expensive-looking silk pyjamas. She turns, her face catching a shaft of moonlight from the kitchen window, she's crying, and her pyjamas are covered in blood.
"Why? Why?" She screams, leaning into Kouyou's shoulder, "Why did he do it?"
I jump at the sudden volume and the vase slips from my hand, crashing to the floor and shattering.
Kouyou and the girl turn to face me, looking equally surprised.
My sister clears her throat, she's been crying as well, "Chu-chan? Go back to bed."
The nickname sends waves of nostalgia crashing through me, Kouyou must be really tired if he's using it, so I know it's not the time to fight but I say, "No."
"Chuuya, please."
"Why, why should I? I just had a nightmare, and now there's some strange girl who looks like she walked straight out of a horror movie, no offence, in our kitchen. What's going on?"
Kouyou looks to the girl, but she doesn't seem offended by my comment. She gives the barest hint of a smile and Kouyou nods for me to sit down.
"This is Akiko, a, um, friend of mine."
The girl makes an expression I don't fully understand.
I'm not sure what to say and going for the typical greetings sounds stupid so I just say, "Oh, okay. What's with the blood." I don't know why, I know it's a terrible thing, but it just slips out.
"Nakahara Chuuya, how dare you! Her brother just committed suicide! Apologise right now!" Kouyou looks mortified herself as soon as she says the words.
Akiko pats her shoulder, "It's okay, I'm not ashamed of it, just sad, and confused, and angry."
"I'm sorry, I can, uh, make you two some tea?"
"Thank you Chuuya-kun."
I nod, eager to escape the odd situation, trying to remember exactly how to make Kouyou's favourite green tea.
When I manage what I'm sure is only a weak imitation I bring it out to them, and Kouyou tears up. I look away embarrassed.
We drink the tea in silence. I know it's too bitter, but they don't mention it.
It's only after Kouyou has lent Akiko some of her own blood-free pyjamas that I work up the courage to address the elephant in the room.
"I'm sorry about you're brother, I didn't know him, but I'm sure he was a great guy. Kouyou probably already said this, but if there's anything we can do to help, her friends are my friends so, we're here you know." The awkwardness is only increased by the way she looks at me.
" . . . Did I say something?" I trail off uncertainly.
"What do you mean you didn't know my brother? You go to the same school, he's in your grade?" She sounds like she's about to start sobbing again.
"Oh, well, I kinda keep to myself, what's his name."
She nods, but hesitates, "Osamu."
I freeze.
Of all the names I'd expected to come out of her mouth, I hadn't expected that one. I should've guessed. Mori Akiko shares the same porcelain pale skin and thick jet-black hair as her brother.
"Chu? Were you two close?" Kouyou asks.
I don't know what I should say so I ask something I probably shouldn't.
"How?"
"What?" Akiko's voice cracks uncomfortably.
"How? How did he die?"
" . . . C-cut himself i-in t-the bath, I'm not sure which killed him first . . . the blood loss or the-the water." Akiko begins to sob and waves of guilt wash over me. Guilt for upsetting her but also for something I can't quite define even though I know I had absolutely nothing to do with any of this.
I don't know why it feels like this.
I mean I guess I can't just feel nothing, I'm not a robot. He was someone I'd seen nearly every day for the last two years, still I barely knew him. And he was an asshole, but he was no older than me. A child died, that's a terrible thing, even if they were a bastard.
"Were the two of you friends?" Kuoyou tires again, stopping my thoughts before tehy go any farther.
I don't want to say no, it seems rude. But I can't say yes honestly.
I never told Kouyou about my relationship with Osamu, and as much as I would have loved to rant about his stupidity, our squabbles seemed hardly relevant when Kouyou had much bigger things to deal with.
I try to open my mouth but it feels glued shut. Akiko, to her immense credit, hands me tea, I feel even guiltier.
I stall with a shaky sip, then answer.
"I don't know, we didn't know each other that well, we didn't actually talk much." The half-lie sounds as shaky as I feel, I think I should lie more, "It's just surprising."
It's not really a lie.
We didn't know much about each other, nother personal or important.
We didn't talk, we argued or punched, and we never had a real meaningful conversation.
It is surprising.
I saw him barely three days ago, maybe not well, but alive.
He was alive . . . And now he's not.
After I've stayed silent for a few minutes, Akiko and Kouyou continue the conversation without me, talking about anything, just to fill the silence. I try to tune it out but the words are as heavy as the quiet. Eventually, I retreat to my room.
Even in the familiar space things don't make much sense.
He always joked about suicide, (got detentions for it too) and I always said I wouldn't miss him, I always told him to just get on with it already.
But I never thought he'd actually do it.
I think about calling Shirase or Yuan, or even walking over to their houses, which aren't more than a block away, but I don't think they'd understand if it were anyone, and Shirase made his opinion of Osamu very clear.
Osamu.
The word catches on my tongue only after I register it. I just used his given name without thinking. I shake my head. He never gave me permission to use it, doing so is disrespectful to the dead, as Kuoyou would say.
But Osamu's dead, what does he care?

CHAPTER THIRTEEN:
‘Goodnight, Aether.’
YOUR POV
The four of you were following the path back to the city of Mondstadt, Aether mentioned that he wanted to say goodbye to some of the other people he’s met while Paimon was going on about what kind of food they should bring. You lagged behind them in favor of admiring the passing scenery. It was a welcomed change from the cold and dull environment of Dragonspine.
“Hey, Y/N,” Venti called out, jogging towards you with an armful of…some red things??
Plucking one from the pile, he thrusted it into your hands. “Try it! I promise you’re gonna love it!”
You had no real reason to doubt him so you sunk your teeth into it. The sweet flavor had you humming in delight as you took bite after bite until there was nothing left. Looking at the bard with bright eyes, you asked for another.
“I figured you’d still like them. After all, apples were your favorite fruits,” he said, handing you another.
Through a mouthful of the fruit you asked him to elaborate. And he did, recalling all sorts of stories and situations you two had gotten into back then.
“…we got into quite a bit of trouble with the farmer after that but-“ he paused and looked at you. “Did you just eat the core of the apple? With the seeds?”
Quickly swallowing the fruit, you glanced around nervously. “Was I…not supposed to?”
Shaking his head, Venti let out a bubbly laugh before patting your shoulder. “I’ve just never seen someone do that before.” After coming down from his fit of giggles, he spoke again. “Though I guess it’s been a while so I can’t really blame you for it.”
You shrugged and continued downing the remaining apples.
The city was loud. Much louder than what you were used to. But it was still quite enjoyable. You wandered around absentmindedly, checking out stalls and peeking through the windows of various shops.
“Haven’t seen you around here before, another traveler I assume?”
Whipping your head around to face the new voice, you were met with a…rather attractive man leaned against a wall of a building. His eye(s) scanned your form in a way that brought heat to your face.
“Not gonna answer?” He let out an amused chuckle as he approached. “Am I really that intimidating?”
Wrinkling your nose at him, you finally shot back. “You’re not intimidating at all, I just don’t want to talk to you,” you huffed, crossing your arms.
The man brought his hand up over his chest, feigning an injury, and let out another laugh, “blunt and to the point, I like it.” He stuck out his hand. “The name’s Kaeya Alberich, Calvary Captain of the Knights of Favonius.”
There was a pause as you shook his hand.
“…so uh, care to share your name with me? Or shall I just refer to you as something of my own choosing?”
“Y/N,” you answered simply. Now that he was closer, you took the time to observe his face. Besides being very handsome, you noticed the star-like shape of his pupils. They were strange but you kept your thoughts to yourself for now.
Before he could speak again, you heard a familiar voice call out.
“Y/N? Oh, there you are,” Paimon called, floating over with Aether and Venti in tow.
“Ah, so they’re your friend,” Kaeya hummed. “I suppose that makes sense. Our Honorary Knight never seems to have a dull moment.”
Aether shrugged at the comment and glanced at the building. “Is Diluc in there, I wanted to tell you both that we are headed to Liyue to find my sister.”
Looking back to the blue haired man, you could have swore you saw a look of sadness in his eye(s). He did well to cover it up as he responded.
“Yep, I came out here to get away from his nagging about my drinking habits,” he explained with an exasperated sigh. “You don’t suppose you could snag a few more drinks for me, could you?”
Paimon shook her head. “Nuh-uh! It’s way too early to be drinking and we’d like to stay on Master Diluc’s good side, thank you very much.” There was a noticeable tinge of what sounded like fear in her voice as she mentioned the man. It left you wondering what kind of a person he was.
Aether simply nodded and looked at you. “Would you like to join us?”
You allowed curiosity to get the better of you. So you agreed and followed him in, dismissing the whispers Venti shared with Kaeya.
The air was thick with chatter from drunken men. The scent of alcohol was heavy and left you dizzy for a moment. Maybe you would have enjoyed this place if it were filled with more familiar faces, but alas, you didn’t have many friends to call your own.
“Ah, Aether and Paimon,” a man greeted as he wiped down the counter with a towel. “What can I do for you,” he asked, slinging the towel over his shoulder.
This man was also quite attractive.
“You have a lot of attractive friends, Aether,” you pointed absentmindedly.
The red haired man blinked and cleared his throat, “ah…thank you…I think,” he muttered.
Aether stifled a laugh and sat himself on a stool by the counter, urging you to follow suit.
“We just wanted to swing by and let you know that we are headed to Liyue soon,” he explained.
Diluc also seemed saddened by the news. And, just like Kaeya, he hid it well. “I see. Well then, I will treat you two to free drinks till you depart. And as a ‘thank you’ for assisting me with…um…private matters, I invite you to swing by the winery later today.”
“Am I included in the free drinks,” Venti chimed, leaning against the counter with a smirk on his face.
“No.”
Venti let out a whine and slumped over, leaning on you instead. “Y/NNNN,” he drawled. “Can you get some drinks for me? I’ll get you more apples!”
The offer was tempting but you shook your head, letting Paimon push him off of you.
“Leave it to you to get involved at the mere mention of alcohol, Tone-Deaf Bard,” she huffed, earning a laugh from you.
The rest of the day consisted of you meeting new people and being shown around the bustling city. In the short time you’d spent, you had gotten used to the constant noise. But as night fell, as did the residents of the city.
Venti had already left for the tavern you learned was called ‘Angel’s Share,’ leaving you and Aether to your own devices.
“You’re a very likable person, Aether,” you said, breaking the silence that had long since settled between the two of you.
“Oh, well I’m glad you think so,” he responded, reaching up to rub the back of his neck. “We should be heading to the Winery now.”
You watched as he sped up, leaving you to chase after him. Did you say something wrong? He looked nervous when you said that so maybe you shouldn’t have?
You remained silent the rest of the way.
The Winery was an impressive building. The sweet scent of grapes and various other fruits lingered in the air, putting you at ease.
The interior was just as impressive. Before you could wander around and get a better look at the place, you heard Diluc’s voice.
“There you are, I was beginning to get worried that something had happened,” he said, making his way towards the two of you. “First and foremost, I’d like to wish you safe travels. Liyue is much different from Mondstadt so you must be careful.” He paused and pulled a sizable bag from behind his back. “Secondly, Liyue is a city of commerce. I’d like you both to be as comfortable as possible so…”
Aether gingerly took the bag then looked back to the red haired man.
“It’s just a little over 200,000 mora. Just to get you started should you ever need anything.” There was another pause as you watched Aether look back and forth between the bag and Diluc.
Diluc turned to you. “We may not know each other well but any friend of his is a friend of mine. You will both always have a home here at the Dawn Winery and in the city of Mondstadt.”
Hearing the word ‘home’ made your heart ache. It wasn’t unpleasant but it was foreign.
“Thank you, Master Diluc,” you said, recalling the name Paimon used. “We will be safe, I’ll make sure of it.”
He gave you a smile and nodded. “Would you care to spend the night? The sun is setting and it’s still dangerous to travel at night, even for an Honorary Knight.”
Aether rolled his eyes playfully at the nickname. “I think we’ll be okay, I want to get there as soon as I can.”
Diluc nodded again. “Very well, then. I wish you both the best of luck.”
Once again, you and Aether found yourself back on the path, having made decent progress in your journey. Aether had been yawning almost every few minutes since leaving the Winery…it was driving you insane.
He yawned again and you stopped in your tracks, gripping the back of his top and dragging him to a secluded spot just off the path.
“Y/N? What are you doing?!”
“You’re obviously tired. So you’re going to sleep,” you said. Feeling your body shift, you pulled him close with your tail and curled around him, ensuring that he would be unable to escape.
At first he squirmed and protested, trying his best to escape the fluffy prison he was in. But with a single snarl from you, he finally settled down.
“…goodnight, Y/N.”
‘Goodnight, Aether.”

Layan's PoV
“Hey! Earth to Layan”, Rania ripped me out of my thoughts. “What's gotten into you?”, she wondered with a chuckle.
“Sorry. I was just daydreaming about Laith”, I enlightened her with a happy smile.
“So I guess your date was great”, she noted smirking.
“Yeah, I just wish we didn't have to hide all the time”, I considered.
“One day you won't have to anymore”, Rania reminded me.
I nodded, but was kept from anything as Miss Abeer started the lesson: “Girls, I need to make an announcement. Our strict class system was criticized by one of our major sponsors. Therefore we will do more projects with the other classes starting today. Each of you will get paired with a student of another class. Your partner will be drawn randomly.”
Of course the day had to be ruined like that. Discussing such a minor thing was not worth it though.
Miss Abeer took a box from her desk and handed it to someone to pass it through the class.
I took one of the small folded papers and passed the box on.
(f/n) Faten. Of course I had to get the principals daughter. At least I would probably get a good grade.
I took a look at the board.
Miss Abeer had written down several unfamiliar names.
“Everyone who has drawn a name that is written down on the board has to go over to their classroom. The rest stays here”, she instructed us.
Luckily (f/n)'s name was not on the board. So I could relax and wait.
“Guess I gotta go”, Rania declared and left the room with her stuff.
Soon later half of the class was gone and the students from the other class appeared.
I was not really looking forward to this project. So I figured it would be best to get over with it as fast as possible. Hence I began reading the task and text.
“Hey. You're Layan, right?”, a soft voice addressed me.
“Yeah”, I replied absentmindedly before looking up at her.
I caught myself staring at her for far too long. How could the uniform suit her so well?
“But wait! How do you know me? I think we've never met?”, I realized.
“Um ...”
God! She was blushing and it was the cutest thing I had ever seen.
“Never mind”, I brushed it off. “Let's just do the tasks.”
She nodded and started reading everything.
Honestly it was hard for me to concentrate now with her sitting right in front of me. What was all of this supposed to mean? Was it because she seemed to be shy and was therefore basically the opposite of the people I was usually spending time with?
“Uh … are you done reading?”, she pulled me back to reality.
I had not noticed how much time had already passed.
“I read some of it before you arrived here”, I avoided her question.
She went on to talk about the topic for a while and asked me questions about it every now and then. Obviously she was smarter than most of our year.
“Okay. So we're finished with the text, but we're supposed to search for more information on the internet, right?”, I reassured.
“Yes, I'm gonna get us a tablet”, she announced and made her way over to the front desk where several tablets were situated. Good thing about a prestigious private school.
(f/n) placed the tablet in front of me and put her chair next to mine to make sure we could both take a proper look at the screen.
My focus was rather on her closeness though. Why was my heart beating so fast? Usually I did not have any problems with that. The only exception was Laith and even with him it was not this bad.
“Dammit, Layan! Don't tell me you're seriously in love with Ms. Faten's daughter”, Rania remarked when I told her everything.
“In love? Why should I be in love with her? I'm with Laith, remember?”, I stated.
“Is he still on your mind though? Because to me it clearly looks like you got yourself a big new crush”, she noted seriously.
And if Rania was being serious it had to mean something.
“But everything with Laith is just starting to get more comfortable”, I pointed out.
“Okay. Let's put this differently! Who would you prefer to spend time with right now?”, Rania questioned.
I stayed silent.
“Do you wanna be close to her? See her, be with her, touch her even in the smallest ways?”, Rania considered.
“Yes, I guess”, I admitted.
“Have you ever felt this strongly around Laith?”, she wondered.
“I … no. No not like this”, I confessed.
“I think you're in love with (f/n). Damn, Layan! What do you wanna do now?”, Rania exclaimed.
“I dunno. I mean … what am I supposed to do? I don't even know if she likes me and Laith is great. I don't wanna screw everything up. I really like Laith. Just not as much as I like (f/n)”, I realized.
“We have more lessons on the partner project to finish it. Just try to make a move on her and see how she reacts”, Rania suggested.
I nodded at her idea.
But the next time (f/n) and I worked together I could not gather the courage to bring the topic on in the slightest. She was so focused on the task that I was not even sure if she really noticed me.
During the third lesson together I at least managed to try to make a proper conversation.
“You're really hard-working”, I noted.
“Well … I need an A on this”, she proclaimed.
“Why? I mean it's just one of many projects. I'm sure it doesn't make that much of a difference”, I assumed.
“You've no idea”, she mumbled so quietly that I almost did not hear it. “My mom has high expectations”, she enlightened me. “Anything but an A is a disgrace for her. I can't bring shame over her name after all.”
“Sounds rough”, I stated quietly.
She had to be under a lot of pressure. I had not even considered that.
“You know that you aren't just defined by your grades though, don't you?”, I inquired.
She looked at me surprised before looking back down on her notes.
The bell signaled the end of the lesson and therefore my time with (f/n). I still had not made any progress in telling her my feelings for her.
“We need to do the presentation next Monday. Do you want to come over to my place to finish everything tomorrow?”, she offered.
Going over to her house on a Saturday. “It's not a date. You're just doing school work. Calm down!”, I screamed at myself in my head.
“Sure. How about twelve?”, I suggested.
She nodded and scribbled something onto a paper before handing it to me. “Just text me if anything comes up”, she noted.
Now I had her number and address. That was some kind of success at least.
“So how did it go?”, Rania wanted to know later leading me to show her the noted (f/n) had written me.
“It's about finishing the project, but at least she invited me over to her place. Maybe I'll get a better opportunity there”, I hoped.
“You can do it, Layan”, Rania cheered me on.
When I was at home I requested Hazem to drive me over to (f/n)'s place.
“It's a school project with the principals daughter. So there's no need to worry”, I immediately added.
“Fine then. I'll drive you”, he agreed.
I thanked him and the next day I was standing in front of (f/n)'s house.
Of course her mom opened the door. “Hello, Layan. (f/n) is waiting in her room upstairs. It's the second on the left”, she greeted me.
“Okay. Thank you, Ms. Faten”, I replied with a polite smile.
The last thing I needed right now was more trouble with (f/n)'s mom. We had had more than enough terrible encounters in the past.
As expected the house was huge, but a bit lifeless.
Hesitantly I knocked on (f/n)'s door waiting for her answer before entering the room.
(f/n)'s room was the complete opposite of the rest of the house. It was comfortable and decorated with pictures and plants.
“Hey”, she greeted me with a shy smile.
Why did she have to be so cute?
“Hey! Your room is cozy”, I stated.
“Thanks. Yeah, you saw the lifeless decoration downstairs”, she alluded.
My eyes stopped at one particular photo and I could not help but pick the frame up.
“Sorry, Laith isn't here. He spends most of his time at his beloved bachelor pad”, she enlightened me.
“So you're his sister?!” It was rather a conclusion than a question.
“Yeah. That's why I knew how you look like. I just didn't want you to judge me as his sister”, she proposed.
“So he told you about me?”, I wondered.
“A lot actually. He's raving about you a lot. I get why. Mom doesn't know though”, she informed me.
“But his last name is Radwan”, I recalled puzzled.
“He wanted to keep dad's last name after the divorce”, she pointed out.
“Shit”, I mumbled.
“Sorry. He probably should have told you himself that our mom is the principal, but he was afraid that it would scare you off or something”, she defended her brother.
I had fallen in love with both siblings. How pathetic! Now everything was way more complicated. Should I simply ignore my feelings for (f/n)? One look at her told me that I could not do that.
“(f/n), I need to tell you something pretty bad and I hope you won't hate me after it”, I admitted.
Her concerned eyes seemed to be boring into my soul.
“I know I'm dating Laith, but I realized that I'm in love with somebody else”, I confessed.
I could not read the expression on her face, but if I had to call it anything I would say distressed.
“It's you. I've fallen in love with you”, I continued.
“What?”, she stammered overwhelmed.
“I didn't plan to. But I can't ignore it now. I will definitely break up with Laith because it wouldn't be fair to be with him while loving his sister”, I pronounced.
“Are … Are you serious?”, she questioned.
I nodded.
“We … we can't ...”
“Wait! You're considering being in a relationship with me?”, I interrupted her.
“No, I'm not. I can't do that to Laith. He doesn't deserve it”, she claimed.
“But you want to?”, I inquired.
“That doesn't matter”, she shot back.
“Yes, it does. Do you have feelings for me?”, I asked her.
“Yes, I do. But that doesn't change anything. I won't do that to him”, she insisted.
“You're stubborn. Honestly I kinda like that”, I noted making her blush. “Now back to the topic. What are you doing for yourself? You're working hard to get amazing grades for your mother. You're ignoring your feelings, so you won't hurt your brother. What about you?”
She averted my eyes.
“What is it?”, I worried.
“Mom would be furious if she found out. Me being gay. You out of all people being my girlfriend. And she will absolutely despise me when she gets to know that I stole you away from Laith. Laith is her golden boy”, she stated.
“But will you seriously be happier by hiding?”, I wondered.
When she did not react I cupped her cheek with my hand.
She leaned into my touch and I could not help but smile at that.
“You deserve to be loved for who you are”, I told her.
Suddenly she started crying and I did not hesitate to pull her into my arms. It was like all the pressure was finally catching up to her.
After a while she pulled away from me, apologized and disappeared inside the bathroom.
When she returned she took me completely off guard. She kissed me. Had I broken her now?

OmegaVerse - Confrontation
POV Saul
I guess I have no choice but to face Sky now. I'm surprised he decided to come to me after avoiding me for several weeks. It remains to be seen if this secret was one too many or not. For now, I'm just grateful that he came all the way to my apartments and didn't just confront me in the middle of a hallway.
I open the door and motion for him to come in and then sit on the couch. I take the chair in front of him. For a few seconds, I hesitate to just pretend I don't know why he's there, just in case, but I'm afraid it will make the situation worse. He already doesn't dare to look me in the eye and I wonder if he doesn't feel other emotions towards me besides anger. I think it would kill me to see disgust in my son's eyes, but we haven't reached that point yet and I hope it never happens.
After another minute of silence, I decide to take matters into my own hands, after all I am the adult here and I start the discussion:
"I guess you have some questions."
His question soon comes:
"Who knows?"
I'm surprised that her first question isn't "why" but I'm glad because it will simplify the start of this conversation. So I answer her:
"Farah and Rosalind. Andreas found out the day I took over my duties. And the queen knows about it, as well as a few of the prison guards. That's it."
He looks up at me and asks:
"Harvey didn't know about it then?"
I shake my head:
"No, he wasn't. It was only Rosalind and Farah for a very long time."
I almost add, "Even your father didn't know about it," but I don't want to throw fuel on the fire. And I never explained to Sky the relationship that really bound Andreas to me. To him, we were just best friends and that was it. That's an extra secret, I realize. But that story is for another day, if our current conversation ends well.
On the other hand, my answer doesn't seem to convince Sky because he continues to question me:
"Why did Rosalind know about this but not the rest of your battalion?"
I guess it's time to be totally honest with him and tell him a story that few people know:
"You know what happened to my dad when I was ten years old. That kind of event can trigger the category sooner than expected. That was my case. A few days after the attack, I found out I was an omega. I guess it was too much for my mother to handle, first I was killing my father and then I was becoming another burden to her. My parents, who were betas, weren't really part of a pack, well it was just the three of us and my younger sister, that's all. So there was no alpha who could take care of me. I was too young to find my own pack or for her to marry me off to a random alpha. She didn't know what to do with me, so soon after, she came to my room to get me. She simply asked me to come with her. And without another word, she took me to the orphanage in Solaria and dropped me off there. At first I thought she was going to come back for me, but then I realized that she had banished me from our little pack and that she wasn't coming back. I never saw her again and I don't know what happened to my little sister. I stayed there for almost five years, until Rosalind came along one day. She was looking for some sixteen year old boys to join Alfea and then later her battalion. She was looking for people with no ties so that they would focus solely on her cause. So orphans were an excellent choice for her. At first glance, I didn't really fit her criteria because I was only fifteen years old and I was an omega. But I was physically fitter than everyone else because I didn't want to let my category determine who I was. So she chose me and brought me to Alfea. She blocked my olfactory gland and gave me everything I needed to pass for an alpha. And you know the rest."
I try not to let anything show as the words come out of my mouth. My mother's rejection hurt me so much. I needed her after what had happened to my dad, I needed to hear that I had no choice but to pull the trigger. But instead, she kicked me out of the house and out of her life. And I've lived my whole life with the guilt of my two crimes: the death of my father and being an omega. That's what made me struggle with my category all these years and that's what brought me directly into the clutches of Rosalind. I know very well that if Farah were here, she would protest that it's not a crime to be a human male omega, but unfortunately not many people agree with her.
Sky needs some time to digest this information and I need a few minutes to calm down after talking about this complicated period in my life. So I take the opportunity to get us two glasses of water and bring them back to the living room. I could use something stronger but I refuse to get drunk with my son.
I take my seat again and Sky soon resumes the conversation:
"So Rosalind chose each of you because you were isolated. She had it all planned from the beginning. It's disgusting to pick on defenseless teenagers like that."
I can feel the anger in her voice and it comforts me that, for once, this emotion is not turned against me. I'm about to answer him but he beats me to it:
"And why did Aunt Farah know about this?"
"Because of our bond. It's so powerful and in the beginning, when you're not yet well versed in blocking information, you're an open book to the other person. I think there's really not much that's been kept secret between us."
I see him nodding his head. And it burns me to ask him what he thinks of the situation, how he sees me now that he knows the truth. But again, I don't want to fan the embers so I keep quiet and let him lead the conversation:
"And why didn't you ever tell me the truth? You know that you have instilled in us a different view of omegas. I don't agree with the crap they were talking about earlier in the class."
I hold back a sigh of relief. I know Sky is a smart kid and it takes more to sway him, but I was worried that his anger at me was clouding his judgment. Despite being reassured by his words, I reply:
"Watch your language."
And obviously, it wasn't the right thing to say because he raises an eyebrow and looks at me with some anger:
"Seriously, you're going to lecture me about swearing when we're actually talking about the fact that you lied to me again? I feel like you've lied to me about everything, my whole life. How can I believe what you're telling me?"
And he gets up angrily and starts pacing. I recognize the temperament of the Eraklyons. They're quiet and then they get carried away all at once. At least Sky doesn't bang on the walls. I can't count the number of times Andreas has punched a hole in the wall. I know it's best if I let him talk, get his anger and words out and then try to talk to him:
"For all I know, you just told me a lie. Maybe your mother didn't abandon you, maybe your father is still alive, maybe you're just doing this to soften me up. I hear that omegas tend to lie to soften up alphas. Then you and Aunt Farah might have lied to me about omegas just to protect you if I ever found out. And maybe Andreas isn't even my father, which would explain why he doesn't care about me and why he abandoned me. Maybe you're my real father, that would explain why you decided to raise the son of the man you thought you murdered."
Sky goes way too far with her assumptions, I decide to change tactics. I stand up and block her path. I put my hands on his shoulders and calmly speak to him:
"No, I didn't lie to you today. Farah told you about her vision of the omegas, it has nothing to do with me. Yes Andreas is your real father. And he is interested in you but he just can't show it right now because he doesn't know how to do that. Believe me, having been around him for over 10 years, your father gives the impression that he has the emotional quotient of a mussel but he doesn't. Just give him time. And I decided to raise you because you were my godson, I knew you all your life and there was no way you were going to end up in an orphanage somewhere. Know one thing, I always did what I did with the best intentions because I loved you and I wanted to protect you. I may have been wrong at times, I may have made mistakes like any parent, but never doubt that I love you. You are my son Sky, even if we don't share the same blood. And I'm sorry if I haven't said that to you in the past. I know you find it hard to believe what I tell you, and one day, if you want, I can take a truth potion to show you that what I tell you is true. But today, look me in the eye and you'll know I'm telling you the truth."
Sky does just that and we look each other straight in the eye for almost a minute. I can see that he is struggling to cope with what I just said, that he is lost so I hug him. It's true that I always erased myself because I didn't want to steal Andreas' place in Sky's heart, but I didn't realize that it could hurt him. I just wanted to honor the memory of the man I loved and raise our son as best I could. I thought I succeeded, but I'm not so sure now.
We lay together for several minutes. And without moving, the young man asks me in a whisper:
"Why didn't you tell me what you were Saul? I would have understood you know, it wouldn't have changed anything, it doesn't change anything. You're still the same man I've known all my life. You're the one who raised me, you're my dad."
I close my eyes as his words are a balm to my heart. Maybe I didn't mess it up then, maybe it's not too late to fix our relationship. I respond by whispering back to her as well:
"Because if anyone ever finds out that you know and you didn't say anything, you're in big trouble Sky. I don't want you to pay because of me. You've already paid so much for my mistakes."
A small part of me wonders if I'd better quit, the risk isn't worth it. I don't want Sky or even Andreas to end up in jail because they will have wanted to protect me. I can't put my well-being before their safety.  And now that my former lover is no longer under Rosalind's control, he can finally take his place as a father to his son. Sky doesn't really need me anymore, so it will surely help their relationship if I step aside a bit. After all, the young man told me himself that things were getting better between him and Andreas before I came back and ruined everything. But if I leave, it also means giving up Farah's dream and leaving the students at Rosalind's mercy.
But I don't have time to think about it more because Sky holds me tighter and says:
"We're going to figure out a way together for you to stay here. There's no way you're leaving Alfea and letting that old witch win. We are a pack, we will fight her together and we will win."
I pat him on the back with a small smile, I'll bring up the subject of his risk again now that he knows. I need him to really understand what can happen to him if anyone ever finds out. But that's a discussion for another day, so I walk away from him and ask:
"Are you eating here tonight?"

Why Elriel is most definitely a Sleeping Beauty Retelling!
Since this was brought up a few days ago I cannot get the idea out my head that Sarah is basing Elriel’s story on Sleeping Beauty, and now we know she hid crumbs in her other books, alongside a quick browse of her pinterest boards it seems more and more likely! Especially since she loves her retellings.
A daughter was born, and they called her Aurora. Yes, they named her after the dawn for she filled their lives with sunshine.
Tumblr media
Listen well, all of you. The princess shall indeed grow in grace and beauty, beloved by all who know her. She'll walk in springtime wherever she goes!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
There are so many parallels between Elain and Aurora, they are both beloved by all, kind creatures who thrive in springtime. Aurora is named for after the dawn because she filled their lives with sunshine, A) tell me this isn’t Elain and B) the meaning of her name;
Elaine as a girl's name is of Greek origin meaning "sun ray or shining light".
Yet another parallel is Aurora believing they still treat her as a child, who does that remind you of?
Oh, dear. Why do they still treat me like a child?
Tumblr media
Even if love is full of thorns, I’d still embrace it. I know that in between those thorns there is a rose worth all the pain.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Could this be any more spot on? We have spoken extensively about Elains, not only willingness to get her hands dirty but the pleasure she derives from creating something beautiful from her labour. If this isn’t a metaphor for Azriel and their future situation I don’t know what is...
This is very important, it keeps getting brought back up in text to show us Elain is going to fight through the bad to get to what she wants. Her hands might bruise and bloody in the process but she will to do it to enjoy the fruits of her labour.
Which leads me to why even further than a Sleeping Beauty retelling I think it will be Elain saving Azriel and breaking a curse/spell. Let us look to SJM’s pinterest board shall we!
Tumblr media
These are just a few of the SB reminiscent pins she has saved, one of the more recent ones in the bottom right. Notice it is the girl saving the man, tell me you do not get immediate Elriel vibes from that, the roses, the colours.
Tumblr media
There also seems to be a lot of cursed/chained art too, I definitely think something is going to happen to Azriel that Elain has to save him from, my best guess would be Koschei.
Elain’s story thus far has heavily emphasised on choice, as we have seen through her interactions with Lucien and their bond overall, hence why I think it will be her making the choice to save him rather than him coming for her.
He has already saved her, it is time for her to shine. It would also grant her the opportunity to explore her own agency, and not what is expected of her.
A ray of hope there still may be in this, the gift I give to thee. Not in death, but just in sleep, the fateful prophecy you’ll keep, and from this slumber you shall wake, when true love’s kiss, the spell shall break.
I think that it is interesting considering she is a seer, that Sleeping Beauty has so many references to visions, fate and so on, after the Azriel POV where we are shown he clearly believes it is fate that three sisters would all fall for three bothers.
Almost like it is... Fate.
This will be the ultimate moment where Elain gets to decide her future and potentially follow her own fate. Not to mention we know the Cauldron loves Elain and gifted her with her abilities, could this be another tie-in, gifting her the ability to wake/heal Azriel?
But see the gracious whim of fate - why, 'tis the self-same peasant maid, who won the heart of our noble prince but yesterday. She is indeed, most wondrous fair, gold of sunshine in her hair, Lips that shame the red rose, in ageless sleep, she finds repose. The years roll by, but a hundred years to a steadfast heart, are but a day. And now, the gates of a dungeon part, and our prince is free to go his way. Off he rides, on his noble steed, a valiant figure, straight and tall! To wake his love, with love's first kiss, and prove that true love conquers all!
Love’s first kiss? Could this be why she didn’t allow them to kiss in the hallway... Anything is possible but the parallels are certainly interesting at this point you can’t deny!
Also here are a few more little crumbs she could have been planting through the series, the colours we most see Elain in are pinks and blues and the most run along joke through the movie is her dress being changed from one colour to the other... Nothing major but certainly interesting.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
These were by no means the only references to her wearing those colours I am just trying to be brief.
Not to mention Roses really took a bigger role in ACOSF in regards to associating them with Elain, while she certainly had past references to them before but adding in her fathers gifts and Azriels gift both being roses. Hmmmmmmm.
Tumblr media
There was a few more little things but I would love to hear everyone else’s thoughts!!!! If not SB what retelling would you think? I am a die hard Hades/Persephone fan so I am sad that is already been done because LBR they are perfect for it hahah

Reader POV
After setting the table, you stood back and watched as Lottie continued cooking. She had started her music again, humming and singing along softly. You couldn’t help but smile at that. Was this normalcy? Your first taste at what your new life could be? It was too soon to tell, but watching your sister make pasta and sing to some 70’s song on her phone briefly awoke something within you.
“Something on your mind?” Lottie asked. Her voice was light, relaxed.
“Not really.” You sat down at the kitchen table, your hands clenching and unclenching as you did so. “Just watching, if that’s okay.”
“That’s fine.” Lottie briefly glanced at you before focusing on the food. A long pause followed; you watched Lottie, her back to you as she cooked. She was content, comfortable. She built this home for herself and for her husband. Hell, she even built it for Moose. The cute puppy you’ve yet to meet. It made you wonder if you could do that, have a life like Lottie’s.
“I have to ask,” Lottie started, “and I hope you don’t get upset, but do you know how to cook?”
You felt the wave of emotions wash over you. Your shoulders hunched as your head lowered. It was expected of you to cook for your ex every night, and there were very specific expectations and standards you had to live up to. Needless to say, you were a shitty cook. You burnt practically everything you cooked and baked, and he was very expressive about that. Never one to back down from showing his displeasure.
“I can make cereal,” you responded, a weak attempt at a joke. You could hear how strained your voice had become, how quickly you’d receded into yourself from that one question.
Lottie looked at you for a moment before responding. “I’d be happy to teach you if you want,” she said. “I’ve got plenty of recipes, a lot of them simple. Is that something you’d be okay with?”
“Whatever you want to do.” You started fiddling with your fingers.
“But is it what you want to do?”
Is it? If Lottie taught you to cook, it would be a mini step toward independence. Right? You’d be able to cook for yourself. You wouldn’t have to rely on microwaveable dinners. It would be a good past-time, a way to keep you distracted.
“I guess,” you muttered.
“Good,” Lottie hummed. “When do you want to start?”
You shrugged. “Maybe tomorrow? If you’re not busy,” you said.
“Tomorrow’s fine. I’ve got the next couple days off work, so it works out great.”
A brief silence fell over the two sisters before you broke it. “How long have you and Max been married?” you asked.
“Six years,” Lottie responded. “We have mutual friends, and they set us up on a blind date.”
“Did you like him when you first met?”
“Sort of,” Lottie giggled. “He was cute, but I didn’t see a relationship with him. By the end of the date we agreed to be friends.” There was a reminiscent tone in her voice, and it made your heart flutter. “Our friends said we were idiots,” she laughed. “Took Max and I three years to go on another date. After that one, we agreed there was something and, yeah—married six years now.”
“And you don’t have kids?” you asked.
Lottie’s shoulders slumped as she shook her head. “We tried, but we just couldn’t get pregnant,” she said. “Went to a doctor after almost two years of trying. I’m fine, but Max… We decided that no matter what, we’d still be a family. I love kids, but I don’t think I want them as badly as I used to.”
“You would’ve been a good mother,” you said. “Just from how you’ve been with me so far.”
Lottie turned to you, misty eyed and a small smile on her face. In an instant, you were out of your seat and in her embrace. It took you by surprise, and your body’s instant reaction was to tense and freeze. But you knew this meant something to Lottie. So you let her hug you, for however long she needed it.
When your sister pulled away, she wiped her eyes and let out an almost embarrassed chuckle. “Sorry,” she said. “I don’t know where that came from.”
“You don’t have to apologize.”
“Still,” she responded. She gently placed a hand on your shoulder, her smile widening just a fraction. “Thank you for that. It means the world to me.”
You nodded.
“Now,” Lottie tried for her brightest smile, “let’s get this meal over with.”
* * *
Lottie POV
It didn’t take long for Lottie to finish the meal. She took the bowls from the table and effortlessly served herself and Y/N. The two sat across from each other at the kitchen table, occasionally commenting on whatever came to mind or whatever question Y/N asked. It was relaxing, and it was obvious that Y/N was slowly starting to feel comfortable. Her guard was still up, but she didn’t seem as defensive.
“Do you have any idea where you’d like to work?” Lottie asked, swirling some noodles around her fork.
Y/N’s brows furrowed as she considered the question. “I dunno,” she said. “It’s been forever since I’ve had a job. I don’t know if I’m qualified for anything.”
“Sure you are. Do you have a copy of an old resume, maybe a cover letter?”
Y/N shook her head. “My last computer broke,” she grumbled. Never bothered getting another one. He didn’t want me to.”
Lottie’s face hardened. “Well I’m not him,” she retorted. “And I’ll help you put together a rough draft of one, okay?”
“You don’t have to.”
“It’s no problem, really.” Lottie watched as she continued swirling the noodles, a million thoughts running through her head. It would take time to rebuild an entire resume. But Lottie’s little sister came for a new start, a chance at being independent. So starting from the bottom seemed like the best place to start.
“We’ll start on that resume this week,” Lottie said, pointing at her sister expectantly. “Then we’ll look at jobs. How does that sound?”
“Like something,” Y/N retorted.
“I can have Max help if you want. When it comes to proof-reading and all that, he’s an expert.” Lottie shook her head, a knowing smirk on her face. “I always told him he should’ve been an English teacher or something. The guy’s an expert.”
“How’d he get into…what was it, electrical something?”
“Electrical engineering,” Lottie nodded. “He’s just as good with machines as he is with English. Plus, he found the job more interesting.”
Y/N hummed.
“What did you go to school for?” Lottie asked.
“Nursing,” she replied. “Mom got me into it. I saw how much she loved helping people, so I figured: why not?” Y/N frowned. A distant look in her eyes threatening to take over. “Not sure I’d be able to do anything with it. It’s been five years. I hardly remember everything I learned back then.”
Lottie waved the comment off, trying to remain optimistic. “I’m sure it’s doable,” she commented. “All we’ve got to do is some refreshing, and see what the next steps are after that. You’ll be able to use that nursing degree in no time.”
Y/N nodded.
“Really, I’ll help you with whatever you need. First, we can work on your resume and get you looking for job. Next, we’ll work on your degree. Easy peasy.”
* * *
Reader POV
After finishing the spaghetti, you and Lottie walked around the house. Your sister gave detailed explanations on every part, describing each benefit and who preferred it the most.
Once the tour had finished, Lottie took out to the backyard. There, you’d meet your sister’s newest addition to the family; Moose. The German Shepard puppy was sleeping in the middle of the yard, tail wagging and mouth slightly open, his legs twitching as if ready to run. You had to smile at that. Oh, to have the innocence of a puppy.
Lottie let out a low whistle, causing Moose’s head to snap up. His bleary eyes were looking around until they met yours and Lottie’s. He smiled, jumping to his feet and running as fast as he could toward the two of you.
Moose went to you first, sniffing your feet and calves before he started bombarding you with licks. You giggles as you started rubbing his head. He took that as a sign to play, nipping at your fingers and giving little barks.
“I told you he’d love you,” Lottie chuckled.
“He’s such a cutie,” you gushed, rubbing his still floppy ears. “How’d you manage to get a dog like this?”
“Animal shelter,” Lottie said, rubbing her dog’s side. “Max wanted a dog. He saw one picture of Moose and it was love at first sight.”
“I can see why.” You felt your heart melt the longer you looked at the puppy, the more you rubbed his fuzzy fur. You could see the unabashed excitement and curiosity in Moose’s eyes, and it made you feel almost like a kid. Giddy and full of energy. You’ll need time to adjust to your new life, but at least Moose was here to make it better.

Georgie Cooper x Reader
Summary: 9-year-old Sheldon Cooper learns that having a brilliant mind doesn't always help growing up in Texas.
Warning: None
A/N: I wrote 2,587 words! I loved being able to bring my creations to life. I hope to do more in the future.
Tumblr media
Y/N and Georgie are in Georgie's room when Mary calls the two teens down for dinner. They head down the stairs and into the kitchen. As they sit down in their chairs, right next to each other, they hear Mary yells towards the garage, "Shelly, dinner's ready!" Mary starts serving the table as we wait for Sheldon. George yells out to Sheldon after a couple of minutes, "Sheldon! Don't make me come in there!" Y/N and Georgie sit there engaging in a hushed conversation about the movie they watched together earlier that week. Missy soon gets tired of waiting for Sheldon, and yells to Sheldon, "Sheldon, if you don't get in here, I'm gonna lick your toothbrush while you're sleeping!" Sheldon quickly responds with, "Coming" before rushing into the house to eat.
Sheldon enters the house, and he quickly sits down with the rest of his family, who are all sitting around the table. George waits for the boy to sit down before saying, "What the hell were you doing in there?" Mary calls George's name with a calm yet angry voice. George notices and responds with, "What?" Mary gets onto George for his language. "What language?" George asks Mary before turning to Sheldon, "So?" "I was having fun with dimensional kinematics", Sheldon says responding to his father. Hearing this, Y/N and Georgie look at each other and roll their eyes.
"Just at admit it, he's adopted," Georgie says to his parents after turning his attention away from his food. Sheldon turns to Georgie and says, "How could I be adopted when I have a twin sister? Think monkey, Think." Y/N chuckles at Sheldon's insult towards Georgie. Georgie gives Y/N a glare. Mary breaks the fight between the boys by telling them that no one was adopted, but Y/N. Mary realizes what she says and sadly looks at Y/N. Y/N just shrugs and goes back to listening to the people she called family. Y/N was sad about the reminder of the situation that occurred when 11 years ago but didn't let the comment affect her.
"I wish I was.", Missy comments under her breath. "That can still be arranged.", Mary tells Missy before telling the family that it is time to pray. George expresses his irritation with a groan, causing Mary to give George a very stern look. Right before the family starts to pray, Sheldon puts on a pair of mittens. George groans again which makes Y/N chuckle. "Leave him be," Mary says defending her youngest son. George argues, "He can hold hands with his family, it won't kill him."  "We don't know that." Sheldon says before looking at Georgie and asks, "Did you wash your hands before dinner?" "Shut up," says Georgie defensively. Y/N finally speaks up, "Hey, I have to hold his hand to pray every night, whether his hands are washed or not." Georgie glares at Y/N again, and Y/N and Missy laugh and high-five each other under the table. "I hold his hand Y/N, hence the mittens." Y/N playfully rolls her eyes at the comment. The family holds their hands together and prays.
After prayer, Sheldon takes off his mittens and starts eating with the family. Mary asked everyone at the table if they were excited to start school on Monday. Sheldon is the first to respond with an "I am". Missy then responds to Mary's question with an "I guess so". Y/N is third to respond with, "I guess. The only thing I like is hanging out with Georgie and the fact that I am in Art this year". Ever since Y/N moved into Cooper's household, Mary noticed that the one thing Y/N loved more than hanging out with Georgie was how creative she was. At church, Y/N would sing like angel. When Y/N thought Mary wasn't looking she would dance her heart out. Y/N also had a sketchbook full of really cool art and a notebook full of wonderful poems and stories. Mary knew Y/N was gonna have a successful life, and she hoped and prayed that Georgie wouldn't mess it up for her.
Georgie was not happy about starting school. "How can I be excited when he's gonna be there?!" Georgie complains. Sheldon boasts, "Don't worry, I won't be in the ninth grade for very long". George tries to help Georgie by saying, "Never mind him, you and Y/N just focus on your practice". Georgie is on the football team and Y/N is on the cheer squad. "How am I supposed to do that when he's in the same grade as me?" "Just ignore him. At least you'll have me there, except for 5th period. I have art" Y/N reassures her best friend.
"All I know is he's not in the same grade as me anymore, and I am thrilled," Missy says before getting a kick in the leg and glare from Y/N. Sheldon sarcastically says, "Good luck with your finger painting."Missy responds with, "You're gonna get your ass kicked in high school". Mary yells at Missy about her language. Sheldon says, "I'm not going to be assaulted- high school is a haven for higher learning". Y/N and George both respond with a quiet, "oh, dear God".
"Speaking of God, who's going to church with me tomorrow?" Mary asked. George says he can't make it because he has to meet with the other coaches. Mary asks if they could meet after church which George responds with a, "no, we can not meet after church". There is an awkward pause before Mary asks Georgie. Georgie tells his mother, "I have to study my playbook." before looking to his father for approval. George nods at his son, while Y/N looks down at her food with a sad expression, wishing that Georgie would have gone with them. "I have to practice my cheer performance, but I can do that after church. It would be nice to go back," Y/N tells her godmother, which puts a big smile on Mary's face and a frown on Georgie's. Sheldon also decides to go with Mary. Y/N's face grew a wide smile hearing that Sheldon was going. "Oh! Cheer practice can wait! Sheldon at church will be more fun than any cheer performance! I can just see it now. Sheldon and science versus Pastor Jeff and God." Y/N jokingly says while laughing. Missy brings the conversation back to Sheldon by asking why he's going to church when he doesn't even like church. "No, but I believe in mom," Sheldon said putting a big smile on Mary's face.
When Mary asked Missy if she was going, Missy tried to get out of it, but as I said she tried. "Son of a bitch.", Missy says under her breath. Mary flicks Missy's head and Georgie laughs. George smacks Georgie's head and Y/N laughs.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Y/N's Pov
Mary, Sheldon, Missy, and I were all in our church clothing, sitting in a pew. The church was full. Everyone except for Sheldon sang Onward Christian Soldiers. Sheldon whispers something to Mary, that I couldn't hear.
Pastor Jeff starts the sermon and Sheldon is still asking Mary questions. "Do you have evil thoughts?" Sheldon whispers to his mother. Mary shh's him but he still keeps going, "I just don't think this part applies to me". "That's fine, be quiet and listen," Sheldon says something else about puberty, causing an older woman to turn towards the boy and his mother. When the woman turns back toward the Pastor, Sheldon asked Missy and me if we had evil thoughts. I respond with a "Not really" but Missy said the opposite, " I'm having one right now". When Sheldon asks what it was, Missy said that she was going to kick him where the sun doesn't shine when we got home. Sheldon tells missy that his balls haven't dropped yet and then asked his mom when his balls would drop. The older lady turns back towards the family and Mary threatens the woman.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We get back from church and Sheldon instantly goes for the student handbook. I pass Mary and Sheldon to go change. I go into Georgie's room after I change. Georgie is in his normal wear, a t-shirt, and jeans, reading his 'Sports Illustrated' magazine. "You know you have no chance with any of those girls in that magazine, right", I say leaning against Georgie's door frame. Georgie instantly looks up at me and says, "You look good. Maybe more than those girls in my magazine." I'm wearing a black jean skirt, with a nirvana shirt tucked in and a black and white striped long sleeve shirt under it.
Tumblr media
Georgie and I laugh at his comment and walk over to his bed. "So, how was church?" Georgie asked while going back to reading his magazine. "It was ok. Your mom almost beat up an old lady for calling Sheldon weird, after he talked about his balls dropping. Other than that, it was like any regular church day." I tell Georgie. "So!", Getting Georgie's attention, "How was your playbook?" I ask Georgie knowing he was lying. Georgie looks at me then back at his magazine. "You know that was not the main reason I didn't go to church. I'm not as invested in church as much as you are, so don't give me that look." Georgie says knowing I was going to get onto him for lying to his mother. I dropped that conversation, and we went downstairs to watch tv and talk.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When I get downstairs, I see George and Georgie talking, so I walk over to them. On my way there, Mary stops me and asked me if I've to saw Sheldon's bowtie. I shake my head no and continue walking. When I get to the table where the boys are talking, they are talking about football. Mary comes up and asks if the boys have seen Sheldon's bowtie. George tells Mary, "Leave it alone Mary, he doesn't need a damn bowtie." Mary argues back, "It's his first day of school, let him wear what he wants." Sheldon yells down the stairs that he still can't find his bowtie. "Oh dear lord, why's he gotta wear a bowtie?" Mary says walking away.
"Can Y/N and I ride in with you", Georgie asked his father. I sit there eating my breakfast quietly, before looking up when hearing my name. George contemplates the situation, then says "sure". "Everybody's gonna know he's your brother. You can't hide. It's gonna be awful for you." I didn't even know Missy was at the table before she said something. "Tell her to shut up." Georgie defensively tells his father. Georgie tells his son, "She's not wrong" earning a light slap on the arm from me. George mumbles sorry and goes back to his coffee.
We're all eating when Mary storms into the kitchen. "George Junior, give me back that bowtie right now!" She yells. "I didn't take it!" "Don't you lie to me!" "I'm not lying!" "We'll see about that!" The pair go back and forth. When Mary walks back upstairs, he yells for his mother to stay out of his room. Missy smiles and says, "She's gonna find your dirty magazines." "Shut up." "You are not having a good day." I shake my head at Georgie, agreeing with Missy.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Georgie and I are sitting in homeroom when we see Sheldon walk in. Sheldon calls out, "My father's a football coach, my adoptive sister's a cheerleader, and my brother's a football player!" When Sheldon sees us he yells out, "Oh, 2/3 of them are over there! Hi, Y/N! Hi, Georgie!" Georgie and I put our heads down in embarrassment.
Ms. Macelroy introduces herself and the class. She makes a joke about having some of our family members in her class, which causes a few students to chuckle. She introduces Sheldon and Sheldon raises his hand. When the teacher calls on Sheldon, we hear Sheldon tell Ms. Macelroy who is breaking the dress code. Georgie and I sink in our chair lower and lower as Sheldon keeps talking. She dismisses Sheldon, but he puts his hand up again. Sheldon tells his teacher that she is also breaking the dress code because she has a mustache. Georgie and I sink as low as we can in our chair while the rest of the class laughs.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Georgie and I are on the football field but on opposite sides. I am with the cheerleaders practicing my moves, and Georgie is with the football players practicing blocking drills. I knew Georgie was having a hard time with starting school with his younger brother, so I kept my eye on him. When I see the fight between him and Albert Stinson, I excuse myself from my squad and follow Georgie to the boy's locker room.
I walk in to see Georgie angrily tearing off his equipment. When he accidentally throws something at me, I quickly dodge it. "You know, if you threw like that on the football field this year, we would win playoffs for sure," I say jokingly getting Georgies attention. "What are you doing here? This is the boy's locker room." "I don't care if the whole team was in here naked, I would do anything to help my best friend when he is down." Georgie sits down next to me. George is watching the whole thing play out. "Do you remember when I was 5, and I missed my parents so much that I had that tantrum?" Georgie nods his head. "You were there for me when I needed you, now it's my time. I've seen how upset Sheldon going to school with us has made you. You have held in your emotions for too long. I know you get jealous when Sheldon gets special treatment. I want you to know that you are not the only one. Missy and I feel that way sometimes, but I have you. I don't need anyone to but you to make me feel special. I guess what I am saying is..." Georgie looks up at me, and I take Georgie into a side hug, "When you feel emotional don't take it out on your team. You have me. Talk to me. We are always together and I don't want to see you tear your life apart over something stupid like going to school with Sheldon."
George comes from behind the locker and tells me to go back to practice. I let go of Georgie and give him a sad look before doing as George instructed.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We get home, and George stops me at the door. "Thanks. You stopped your practice to help out Georgie. I appreciate that.", George tells Y/N sincerely. "Georgie is my best friend. Now, if he managed to hit me, that conversation would have gone a whole other direction." I say jokingly. George chuckles and lets me go.
I go up to Georgie's room. Georgie looked like he was in a better mood. I went in and talked with Georgie until time for dinner.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Narrator's Pov
The whole family gathers around the table to eat, but first, pray. When it's time to pray Sheldon surprisingly doesn't wear one of his gloves. No surprise when it wasn't the hand Georgie held.
Later that night everyone was sleeping peacefully, except for Y/N who would find laying right next to Georgie, like they have been for the past 11 years when someone was upset.

Chapter 3
"Time!" Mr. Harris looked up from his watch. "If you catalyzed the reaction correctly, you should now be looking at a crystal."
I looked down at my beaker and saw a horrible concoction of half crystal and half goo. Thanks to Stiles, my last partner of this weird-ass rotation the chemistry teacher had us partake in. Yet even though I didn't get with Stiles that well I was relieved that he was my partner. Isaac had been completely insufferable these last few days and I couldn't handle that.
"Now this part of the experiment I'm sure you'll all enjoy. You can eat it." I was bummed that I couldn't eat mine and I guess Lydia noticed.
"Hey, (Y/N), we can share mine. Don't frown." I smiled at her and she returned it.
After Lydia gave me half her rock crystal, Scott just stood up and screamed our names to stop, and everyone else just stared at us. We both turned and gave the boy a weird stare before diverging our attention back to the candy. After clinking our candies against the other, we savored the sweet treat.
Allison's POV
"Derek is outside waiting for (Y/N) and Lydia," Scott said.
"Waiting to kill them?"
"If he thinks one of them is the Kanima, then yes. Especially after what happened at the pool."
"It's not Lydia."
"Stiles, she didn't pass the test, man. Nothing happened."
"No, it can't be her."
"Well, it's not (Y/N) either."
"Well, it could be her."
"What is that supposed to mean?!" What the hell was his problem?
"Well, we have no idea who she is, and she hasn't really proven to be a good person. And the attacks did start after she first arrived at Beacon Hills."
"You don't know her, I do. Believe me, it's not her. I've known her my whole life. I think I would have noticed her turning into a killing lizard and I don't think I would be here to tell you. So, we can cross her out." We both sighed. "But it doesn't matter because Derek thinks it's one of them. So, either we can convince him that he's wrong or we've got to figure out a way to protect them."
"Well, I don't think he's gonna do anything here. Not at school." Scott stepped in.
"What about after school?" I asked and he sighed. "What if we can prove that Derek's wrong?"
"By three o'clock?"
"There can be something in the bestiary."
"Oh, you mean the 900-page book written in Archaic Latin that none of us can read? Good luck with that." Seriously Stiles, not helping. At least I was trying.
"Actually, I think there might be someone who can translate," I said thinking about our guidance counselor.
"Uh, I can talk to Derek maybe convince him to give us a chance to prove it's not either of them or... But if anything happens you guys let me handle it, okay?"
"What does that mean?"
"You can't heal like I do." I stared at him. I wasn't a defenseless baby. "I just don't want you getting hurt."
"I can protect myself." I took the crossbow out of my bag. He said nothing. "What? Did something else happen?"
"I just don't want you getting hurt. Seriously, if anything goes wrong you call me, okay?! I don't care if your dad finds out. Call or text, scream or yell; whatever, I'll find you as fast as I can." He stared straight into my eyes.
"We have until three."
He turned to leave until my crossbow went off. "Ooh." Scott quickly turned around and caught the arrow.
"Aah. Sorry." Stiles handed me the crossbow. "Sorry. Sensed a trigger on that."
Scott's POV
Currently, Stiles was on Lydia's and (Y/N)'s trail, and I was on the field with Boyd trying to find Derek.
"I wanna talk to Derek."
"Talk to me."
"I don't wanna fight."
"Good. Cause I'm twice the size of you" I looked up to find it true.
"True. Really, really true." He smirked. "But you wanna know what I think? I'm twice as fast." I smirked back and tackled him to the ground. Once we stood up, Derek appeared by our side.
"She failed the test." His face held his iconic scowl, and his arms were crossed.
"Yeah, but that doesn't prove anything. Lydia's different."
"I know. At night she turns into a homicidal walking snake."
"I'm not gonna let you kill her."
"Who said I was gonna do it?" I looked back to the school and realized Erica and Isaac were still back in the building. I tried to run towards it, but Boyd threw me down. "I don't know why you think you have to protect everyone now, Scott. But even so, Lydia has killed people and she's gonna do it again. And next time it's gonna be one of us."
"What if you're wrong? For all we know it could also be (Y/N). She didn't pass either, and how is it a coincidence that the attacks started after she arrived?" For a second I could have sworn there was a sign of desperation and worry in his face. But as quick as I blinked the look was gone.
"Lydia was bitten by an alpha. It's her."
"You saw that thing up close. You know it's not like us."
"But it is! We're all shapeshifters. You don't know what you're dealing with. It happens rarely and it happens for a reason."
"What reason?"
"Sometimes the shape you take reflects the person that you are." He gave me his hand and helped me up. "Even Stiles calls her cold-blooded."
"Well, what if she's immune? What if she has something else inside of her that makes her immune to the bite which is why she didn't get paralyzed."
"No one's immune. We've never seen it or heard of it. It's n... It's never happened." He argued.
"What about Jackson?" He looked away. "That's why you tested him, isn't it? Because you gave him what he wanted, didn't you?"
"Scott..."
"You said the bite either kills you or turns you. You were probably hoping that he would die. But nothing happened, right? You have no idea why do you?"
"No." Derek's jaw clenched and I knew I struck a never, so I pressured on buying more time.
"I have a theory. That she's immune and that somehow, she passed it on to Jackson. You know I'm right."
"No!
"You can NOT do this!"
"Look, I can't let her live! You should've known that."
"I was hoping I could convince you but then, I wasn't counting on it." He looked at me frazzled as to what I meant, I just smirked.
(Y/N)'s POV
Being stuck with Stiles and Lydia in the library is torture, an experiment I did not want to know the result of. Actually, just Stiles. Ever since Chemistry he had been on our trail like a lost puppy. Lydia and I had a project to work with, and he was just in the way. He was acting so weird and fidgety, more than usual.
"Hey, Allison. What are you doing here?" Lydia said looking behind her.
"Oh nothing, just wondering if you wanted to get together for a study group."
"Sure, that would actually maybe let the tension leave this group," I said and as we were leaving, Jackson joined.
"Study group? I'm coming with."
"Great." We left through the back door of the library, lord knows why, and we were walking at top speed.
"If we're doing a study group why don't we just stay in the library?" Lydia said. I was asking myself the same thing but since everyone else had stood up, I just followed.
"Because we're meeting up with somebody else."
"Why don't they just meet us at the library?" I asked.
"Oh, that would have been a great idea! Too late."
"Okay, hold on..." Lydia started saying but Jackson stopped her by grabbing her arm.
"Lydia, shut up and walk." Jerk.
We all got inside of Stile's jeep since he thought it would be faster that way because we were already late. It was an awkward ride to what I learned was Scott's house. No one said much except for the casual groan or scoff coming from Lydia.
"If we're meeting at Scott's house, where's Scott?" Lydia asked.
"Meeting us here. I think. I hope." Stiles said as he led us up to the front steps and into Scott's house.
Once inside he closed every single lock there was on the door. My reaction was involuntary as I stared at the slim boy in front of me as if he was another worldly creature.
"Uh, there's been a few break-ins in the neighborhood." He then put a chair on the doorknob and now Lydia joined in the stare. "And a murder. Yeah, it was bad."
"Lydia, follow me. I need to talk to you for a minute." Jackson spoke up.
"Seriously, what is going on with everyone?" Lydia said exasperated.
"Actually, I've been thinking the same thing. What the hell is going on?" I asked once Jackon and Lydia were out of sight.
"Nothing. Like we said it's just a study group." Stiles answered and I crossed my arms against my chest. Groveling for an answer seemed completely futile in this situation.
Allison's POV
"You know what, (Y/N). Why don't you go into the kitchen and help yourself to anything or go upstairs and lay down? I think Scott will take a while."
"O-kay?" She headed upstairs with an audible sigh and I motioned to Stiles to give me his phone to dial Scott.
"Hey, it's me. You need to get here. Quick." I looked outside and saw Derek and his pack waiting. I looked at the phone after Scott hung up and started dialing my dad's number.
"What are you doing?"
"I think... I think I have to call my dad."
"But if he finds you here, you and Scott..."
"I know." I stared at him. "What are we supposed to do? They're not here to scare us, okay, they're here to kill Lydia... Or, or even (Y/N)." We stood in silence and I debated on whether if it would be a good idea to call my father. If I did my relationship with Scott would be completely and truly over and if I didn't there could be a chance I would be down a friend or even a cousin.
"I've got an idea." I looked at a nervous Stiles. "Shoot one of them."
"Are you serious?"
"We told Scott we could protect ourselves. So, let's do it, at least give it a shot, right?" I debated for a moment.
"Okay." I don't think I sounded too confident.
"Look, they don't think we're gonna fight, so one of them gets hit, I guarantee they'll take off. So just shoot one of them." His reasoning made sense. I looked outside.
"Which one?"
"Um, Derek, preferably in the head."
"Stiles, if Scott can catch an arrow, Derek definitely can."
"Okay, ah, just shoot one of the other three."
"You mean two?"
"I mean three." Quickly he moved the curtains aside and looked outside to check on the pack. "Where's Isaac?" Without being able to think I was attacked and thrown to the ground and so was Stiles. I don't know how but Isaac found a way in.
(Y/N)'s POV
I was laying down on the bed of what I hoped was a guest room, scrolling through my phone when I heard a crash downstairs. I guess Lydia heard it too because when I looked outside the hallway, there she was. We moved slowly and carefully. After, I started to hear snarling and crashing.
"What's happening?" Lydia cried and I half hugged her as reassurance.
"Get back. Someone's trying to break in, okay? Go." Allison appeared from around the corner.
"I can help," I said.
"Stay." We didn't move. "Guys, go!" We both ran back to the room she was with Jackson and closed the door. Yet, Jackson was nowhere in sight.
"Jackson?!" Lydia screamed and we made our way to the bathroom locking the door.
"Who are you calling?" I asked Lydia as she took out her phone.
"Hi, I-I need the police. Th-there's someone trying to break in." She turned off the light and I heard the door outside slam.
"Stiles! It's here!" Allison screamed. What the hell was IT? Then the door crashed down. Lydia started squirming so I engulfed her in a hug and tried my best to calm her nerves.
"We're gonna be alright." But honestly, I was just as scared. Once silence was the only thing surrounding us, I checked the room. "Okay, I think it's gone. We'll go out slowly."
She nodded and followed me out of the bathroom and later out of the room. We made our way calmly down the hallway and the stairs. That's when I heard the worst screech ever and it was not human. We both ran outside to see what had made such an awful sound and were met by Derek, Isaac, Erica, Boyd, Scott, Stiles, and Allison. What the hell were they all doing here, and why were Erica and Isaac limp on the floor?
"Would someone please tell me what the hell is going on?"
"It's Jackson," Scott said. What could that possibly mean?
After everyone had calmed down, Stiles took us back to the school to look for our abandoned cars. As I made my way to my bike, Allison stopped me. Claiming that she was too worried about my safety. Not having the energy to fight, I obliged and got into her car alongside Lydia, who was still a bit shaken from the events.
"I need you to promise that you both won't say anything about what just happened." Allison staged the statement as a request but it was clearly a command.
"I promise not to say anything about what just happened if you could tell me what the HELL just happened," Lydia said, exasperated.
"I'm with Lydia on that one."
"It's kinda complicated." Allison sighed.
"How about you start with why Derek was there?" I spoke. "And Isaac and all of those kids from school?"
"Or where Jackson went or what is wrong with Erica?" She looked down. "Need to come up with a possible lie?"
"Part of the reason I am asking is because Scott and I aren't supposed to be seeing each other, okay?" Seriously? That's your excuse "So it's better if you just keep what you know to yourselves."
"Fine. I'll keep what I know about you and your boyfriend, which is nothing, to myself." Lydia started to get out, but Allison held her back.
"Hey, he's not just my boyfriend, you get that right?"
"Let me go." The strawberry blonde spat.
"Just for one second, please try and remember. "
"Remember what?!" Lydia turned.
"Remember what it feels like. All those times in school when you see him standing in the hall and you cannot breathe until you're with him or those times in class when you can't stop looking at the clock because you know that he is standing right out there, waiting for you. Don't you remember what that's like?"
"No."
"What do you mean no? You've had boyfriends."
"Not like that." She closed the door and left. Allison stared at her until she had reached the door to her house before starting the car back up.
"I know you're lying. This has nothing to do with your relationship with Scott. Maybe like five percent but when you look at the whole picture it's not. So, why don't you actually tell me the truth or I swear I will get out of this car."
"We're moving."
"Doesn't mean I won't jump out."
"What do you want me to say?!"
"The truth. Just tell me why the hell everyone has been acting so weird?"
"You're one to talk." She scoffed.
"What is that supposed to mean?"
"You! Ever since you've arrived you have pushed everyone away, even though all they have been is nice to you. You're alienating yourself for no reason."
"No reason?! How about the fact that I don't want to grow attached to anyone because I know that once the year ends, I'm gone? It has been like that for almost ten fucking years. Allison, you have only had to move about three times in your life, maybe four. I have been moving every single year since I was eight years old. Don't you think that it doesn't hurt to leave behind people you have grown to love and won't see again, possibly forever?"
"I didn't think..." she sighed.
"Exactly, you didn't think because you don't understand. The last time I grew close to someone, I had to say goodbye and you know what happened?" She shook her head no. "She was bullied into attempting suicide. I did that."
"Are you talking about Josie?" I nodded, roughly wiping away the tears that had spilled. "That wasn't your fault. It was tragic but there was nothing you could have done. You didn't do it."
"I did. She was alone because I left, and I couldn't protect her. She won't even answer my messages. Now, I don't associate myself with people so I don't have to care about what happens to them. That way it doesn't hurt once I leave."
"I'm so sorry, (Y/N), I didn't know you felt that way. But don't push me away. I will always be a constant in your life. I'm your cousin, I will always be with you." She hugged me and wiped away any other tears left. "I love you but get out."
"Dude, you just ruined the moment."
"No, I mean we're at your house and I have to get home. I love you." She smiled and I got out of the car. Before I could say anything else, she sped off. She knew there was a conversation still lingering and she was trying to avoid it. I just hoped I didn't have to explain myself to anyone else.
I entered the empty house, making sure all the doors were locked, and made my way up the stairs. Opening my bedroom door, Brody jumped off my bed and onto me, slathering my face with kisses.
"Hey, buddy. I missed you too," I laughed. Being near him instantly calmed me and helped me feel more at ease after the night I had.
I changed into my pajamas, too tired to shower, and cuddled with Brody on my bed. Talking about my past always made me tense. I tried my best to stray away from the topic and reveal as little as possible as I could, but it always found a way to be uncovered. As hard as I tried it was the dark cloud that would always follow me around. All I could do was avoid the whole thing as much as I could and hope they didn't bring it up again.
With Brody's warmth next to me, I quickly nodded off to sleep and melted the stress of the day.

“It’s going to have to come out at one point, Y/N,” Will told me as him, Jay, and I were having beers together at Molly’s.
“And it will, but when I want it to, and not before,” I clarify and take a sip of my beer, whose bitterness I was well used to by now.
“Um, I’m a detective in the most elite police unit in Chicago. If I wanted to, I could do some digging and find out like that,” Jay pointed out.
“But you won’t because you respect my privacy,” I retort. “Look, guys, I would love to tell you who my boyfriend is. I really would. But now is just not the time.”
“Fine. We’ll back off. But I think it’s better if you tell us sooner rather than later,” Will said.
“Mmm,” I hum and take another sip of beer. After having beers with my brothers, I headed back to my apartment, and when I unlocked the door, I saw Connor lounging on the couch with the TV on in front of him.
“Hey, babe,” he said once he noticed me walk in. “How are your brothers?”
“You know how Will is doing since you see him practically every day, but Jay is doing good. They were asking about you,” I say.
“Oh yeah? What about?” Connor asked.
“Well, not you specifically,” I clarify. “They asked about my boyfriend, but they don’t know it’s you. I was hoping we could talk about that.”
“All right,” Connor spoke and pulled me down into his lap. “What’s up?”
“We’ve been dating for a few months now, and I’ve been really supportive of you wanting to keep our relationship a secret, but I think it’s time we tell everyone about us,” I explain.
Connor smiled. “I guess we could start telling people. I mean, I love you, and I don’t think that’s going to chance anytime soon.”
“Great. After our next shift, we can invite Jay and Will out for drinks, and we can tell them then. Thanks for agreeing to this, Connor,” I murmur and press my lips to his for a brief kiss.
.........................................
Tonight was the night. Tonight I was finally going to tell Will and Jay who I was dating. For some reason, I was a bit nervous. What if they didn’t approve of Connor? I mean, I knew they would, but the thought still nagged at me. I was standing at the nurses station waiting for a new patient to treat, because weirdly, there was almost nobody here. Just as I thought that, the ambulance bay doors opened and two paramedics pushed in a gurney. The odd part was that they were followed by a police officer.
“Y/N, you’re up,” Maggie informed me.
“What do we got?” I ask the paramedic and slip on some gloves before entering the trauma room.
“Peter Maddox. Late 30′s. He’s on some sort of drug,” one of the paramedics answered as Peter began thrashing around in his bed.
“Cocaine? Heroin? MDMA? Can you be more specific?” I question.
“I cannot,” the woman replied.
“Mr. Maddox? Can you hear me?” I ask and shine a light into his eyes, seeing that his pupils were enlarged. Yeah. This guy was definitely on something. That’s when I noticed that he was restrained. “Uh, hey. I’m going to need you to take these bonds off him.”
“Sorry, miss. He’s highly dangerous,” the police officer told me.
“And I understand that, but I can’t fully examine him with the bonds on. Uncuff him. Now,” I demand. The police officer sighed, but followed my order and uncuffed Peter.
“Mr. Maddox, I’m Dr. Halstead. I want to help you feel better. Could you please tell me what you’re on?” I ask. Peter didn’t respond and rocked back and forth on the trauma bed. “Okay, uh, April, order a full tox screen, blood work, and a urine test. I can’t help him until I know what he’s on.” As soon as I said “blood work”, Peter snapped and jumped out of bed.
“No blood work. I don’t want blood work!” Peter shouted.
“Mr. Maddox, please get back into bed. You need to rest so I can run some tests,” I say.
“I said no blood work!” Peter yelled and shoved me roughly right up against the trauma room door. My head hit the glass hard, and I could hear a crack start to span the door. The police officer rushed forward and grabbed Peter, forcing him back onto the bed where he was once again restrained.
“Y/N, are you okay?” April asked me.
“I-I’m fine. Can you ge-” I cut myself off as my vison blurred, and I suddenly fell unconscious.
Connor’s POV
“Help!” April called out from one of the trauma rooms. “I need some help in here!” I set down my tablet and ran into the room to find Y/N unconscious on the floor with a small puddle of blood pooling around her head. I glanced at the glass of the trauma room door, which had a huge crack in it surrounded by a bit of blood, and then towards the patient who was struggling in his restraints, and I knew what had happened. But I didn’t focus on that. I knelt down next to Y/N and pulled my flashlight from my pocket, shining it into her eyes.
“Shit. Her pupils are uneven. Someone page Dr. Abrams now,” I order. Once we had gotten Y/N situated in a bed, Dr. Abrams came by to examine her. The good news was that nothing looked to be wrong. She just had a deep cut on the back of her head and would probably be unconscious for a few hours. I was sitting by her bedside holding her hand when Will and Jay walked into the room. Both of them caught sight of me holding Y/N’s hand, and almost immediately, they pieced two and two together.
“So, you’re the boyfriend,” Will guessed.
“Uh, yeah. I’m the boyfriend,” I restate and stand up, placing Y/N’s hand back on her bed. “I should get back to work. And you guys deserve some time with your sister so...”
“No,” Jay said which interrupted me from leaving. “You should stay. Y/N would want you to be here. And by the looks of it, we’ve got a lot to discuss."
Y/N’s POV
It felt like I was asleep for a long time. I felt groggy and confused, and my head felt like it had been pounded in by a sledgehammer. When I opened my eyes, I was met by a bright light, and I groaned, closing my eyes again.
“Y/N? You awake?” Jay asked. I hummed in response and opened my eyes once more, blinking a few times to get used to the light. When I finally fully opened my eyes, I was met with an odd sight. Both my brothers and my boyfriend were sitting in my room.
“What the hell happened?” I question and rub my eyes. That’s when I felt that my head had a huge piece of gauze wrapped around it, and everything came flowing back to me. “Mr. Maddox did this, right?”
“Yeah,” Connor responded. “He’s being taken care of right now. But don’t worry about him. How are you feeling?”
“Good, except for the fact that my head is pounding. Who the hell is my doctor? They did not give me enough meds,” I note.
Will laughed. “The pain should go away in an hour or two.”
“Okay,” I murmur and glance between, Will, Jay, and Connor. Something was up, and I think I knew what it was. “You guys know, don’t you?”
“Yeah,” Jay said. “We know. What was the reason for not telling us though? Did you think we wouldn’t approve of Connor or something?”
“Actually, it was Connor’s decision to keep it a secret,” I answer. “He’s didn’t want people to find out we were dating until we thought we would be together for awhile. We were going to tell you tonight after shift at Molly’s, but things changed, obviously.”
“So it didn’t have anything to do with our rocky past?” Will asked Connor.
Connor shook his head. “It had nothing to do with you, Will.”
“Cool. So, Y/N, since you’re going to be here for awhile, I think we should catch up a bit. Maybe talk more about you and Connor,” Will suggested.
I groaned. “Could this day get any worse?”
“It could. Because we’re not leaving until you tell us everything,” Jay stated with a small smile.
“You might want to go,” I tell Connor.
Connor chuckled. “I was planning on it. I’ll be by to check up on you later,” he spoke and kissed my head before leaving the room.
“So,” I say and look between my two brothers. “Where should we start?”
