👑 Riddle HC: He's uptight and doesn't know fun

My take: He can be uptight and arguebly doesn't have fun in the same way others do but its been shown a few times riddle is a bit feral in his own way

♣️ Trey HC: Sweet mama friend whos done no wrong and needs a break

My take: He is a sweet mama friend but he has been shown quite a few times to do some (harmless) underhanded things for his own gain (Starsending Event: Getting a new blender/juicer/whatever it was)

♦️Cater HC: Bubbly guy whos secretly depressed with an internet addiction and THATS IT

My take: though not inherently wrong a lot of ppl dumb down his character to be very vague and two dimensional, Cater is also very alturistic in some cases and has shown to have a variety of skills (maybe not Trey/Ruggie lvl but its still skills)

♥️Ace HC: Mean as hell even in pranks(? this isnt one thats blatantly stated but written on a lot)

My take: Ace CAN be an ass but a lot of the time he will backout or realize his fuck up and make up for it, hes not jus sum ass that ppl talk too, hes a bully in the most loving way possible (lookin at deuce about that one LOL)

♠️Deuce HC: Oblivious dumbass

My take: Now in the context of School or sayings/confusing wording THIS IS VERY TRUE, but ppl make Deuce an all around idiot ive noticed and it annoys me, Deuce is very streets smart both in literal and just like,, hes a dude that knows things, and it annoys me so bad when they jus make Deuce a dumbass

My take: also another that isnt inherently wrong but also is taken way outta context, Leona can and will be self serving but hes also shown to be kind and considerate and willing to help (even if he tries to deflect by saying it wasn't on his mind/not that it was truly within his heart), hes just a more intense Tsundere than Jack

🍩Ruggie HC: Same as leona with heavy self interest

My take: now this is more true then leonas but theres been a few times where ruggies done things for no/little gain, especially when it involves some level of danger, he may still joke about it but hes always pulled through

🐺Jack HC: this is also not a stated HC but ppl seem to forget how territorial/aggressive Jack gets so in writings hes usually just sum laid back guy

My take: Dude has been shown countless times to be headstrong and be aggressive and territorial, maybe not in the Adeuce, Tweel way but he in his own right has been shown to be aggressive (even if playful or more tamed then the formentioned)

My take: I AGREE AND DISAGREE, ive seen ppl give some characters vitiligo but NEVER to azul, if anything it WOULD be Azul, not only that Vitiligo is an autoimmune disease with factors such as stress, and who stresses more than anyone? AZUL, i usually consider most Visual canon to be just that with very little HC's but if Azul is to be interpreted with dark skin, mf has vitiligo

😈Floyd HC: Older of the twins and a variety of romantic HC's/writings i cant all list

My take: Its been shown in either a viginette or an event (i think an event) that despite being born within the same timing, Jade was actually first before Floyd (Jade makes a joke about keeping him around so im guessing the mf murked all his other siblings eggs djebdjsb ???) // As for romantic HC's writings what annoys me most is that he will usually be interpreted as very loving + his mood swings, i know damn well if Floyd had a gf/bf hes sTILL abiding to himself, now there are some factors that wouldnt keep this true to a default but floyd is floyd

👿Jade HC: He's just as seen in game//no real depth

My take: Its shown during the camp vargas event that Jade is actually extremely excitable and even (according to those around him (i think Cater says it)) that he even shouts in excitement about the natural Oven he was gunna make to cook the fish, Jade is very mannerly and a bit hard to read and its been stated as true, but Jade is also just a fucking nerd as well when you peel back the layers he isnt just that same guy as before

My take: NOW THIS ONE MAKES ME THE MOST ANNOYED, Kalim may be happy go lucky and sunshine like, but that motherfucker is AWARE, now you may try and ref Jamil in B4 but- BUT- Jamil is his literal lifelong friend and even if he was blatantly backstabbing at some points Kalim gave him the benefit of doubt, because hes known him all of his life and ik you mfs LYIN if you said you wouldnt for a life long friend... // Also Kalim despite his delivery being happy/sunshine like, Kalim has been shown to have a more feral (similer to Ace) side and even a more snarky side, though rare and playful at most hes not just some 🌞 fr

My take: Similar to Jamil, a lot of ppl will HC Vil transf/m due to the fact that within the JP ver, Vil uses a pronoun/self identifier commonly used for/in feminine use, but also for masc use,,, this one is also jus a random irk and i truly do not mind at all but i hate when ppl base of very little things (ik i sound stupid these r jus my opinions LOL)...// Self interest again but Vil's literally in B5 shown to not only not tell anyone but do it on his own whim to post Epel's family product so they can buy out to the point Epel had to give back the crates of Juice his family got him, Vil did that himself, he may be cunt(y) but hes also very considerate

My take: Surprisingly i see very little HC's of Rook and when i do they make sense to me (Ex: Dark skin and coily/wavy hair, mf was born n raised in Afterglow savanna so even if he has whiter genetics, mf DEFINITELY having darker skin, hes a hunter hes oUTSIDE)

🍏Epel: Transmasc (but for the wrong reasons)

My take: Now of all characters to HC as trans DOES make sense, but also at the same time Epel normally doesnt mind who he is, its only when its used negatively/to mock him or something that he knows ppl will think "less of him" for it,,, this one irks me way less but a lot of ppl will HC/Write epel way more sensitively about himself then he is whether with a trans HC or not, overall though this HC does make the most sense to me

My take: Doing rom! HC's/Writings again.,,, i feel like in general Lillia would actually avoid personal romances, he wouldn't be like EW ICKY, but considering his past and current responsibilities (Looking after his two sons Mal and Silver and then their cousin Sebek), i think it would be much harder for him to actually be involved in romance

My take: Now for this one i feel like ppl make Sebek similar to deuce and make him an oblivious dunce, Sebek is smart as hell but he jus doesn't understand customs outside of Fae, hes from Briar valley where most people are fae, and also dont have internet, you cant blame him for being bad at lingo and oblivious to what we would normally know by like age 8../// Also funnily enough i feel like Sebek and Mal get rev for rom HC's (Mal being filled with Swagger while Lillia helps sebek),,, i feel like despite not knowing normal customs,, if Sebek ever pursued someone romantically he would actually not be bad at it, sure a bit lost here n there but i feel like hes got swagger

⚔️Silver HC: That he takes things passively

My take: Silver has been shown to act against others wishes even those with authority (Even more so in B7 but i wont spoil),, Silver often acts as a voice of reason to Sebek as well in those moments but due to Sebeks tunnel vision up until B7, mf wont hear it, and since Silver basically has known Sebek all his life, to see him not press on the matter more in certain aspects is normal, ppl with headstrong siblings know this especially, sometimes you jus gotta be like "okay fine"

In general i feel like a lot of people forget THIS IS AN ENTIRE SCHOOL the game is set in, teachers can take on different classes,,, but theres more teachers than just Vargas, Crewel and Trein, YOU SEE THAT BIG ASS SCHOOL? Theres a least 20 more teachers runnin around that bitch other than the ghosts, but since its a game and not like a series, Obviously they cant jus throw a random teacher every scene

I’m a little in denial about everything with Lilia but I gotta ask: Do you think Malleus OB can “fix” Lilia in a certain way? Like how sometimes hibernation gives second wind to animals (or how humans feel better after naps.

I am very well aware I’m grasping at straws. I just don’t want my tied for favorite boy to die.

I… don’t think that’s possible, no matter how much we may want it to be.

When Vil greets Lilia at the farewell party, he asks Lilia point-blank if there “really is no other way”. Vil recalls his own predicament returning from Styx HQ as a withered old man and how Malleus was able to restore him to his youth. He asks if Malleus can do the same for Lilia so he can retain his magic and stay enrolled at NRC. To this, Lilia explicitly states that is isn’t possible. “Malleus said it himself: he cannot turn back time.” The only reason Malleus could help Vil was because some external factor robbed Vil of his time; the same is not true of Lilia, who is losing his fight with time (something everyone will naturally succumb to eventually).

Things in the world of Twisted Wonderland are destined to move forward and change, in spite of how much one may wish to remain in their current blissful, carefree school days. All Malleus is doing now in his OB state is prolonging the inevitable because he cannot accept, nor reverse, that change. The whole point of these events and the buildup to it is that “no matter how much power or magic Malleus has, he cannot do anything to change his circumstances”.

Now, I don’t know if that necessarily means TWST will actually permakill Lilia (because he is an integral part of the main cast and marketing) 💦 If time loop or dream theory turns out to be real, then it’s possible some external forces or other deux ex machina could save Lilia…? But at the same time, saving Lilia would kind of detract from what Malleus would have to learn about mortality, friendships, and change. I have no idea what direction the story is planning to go with him from hereon out or how dark the devs will be allowed to go. We’re waiting with baited breath for what’s next 🥲

Side note, I wanted to share something I noticed while thinking about how to respond to this question. So… the wording of the ask is very telling and reflective of the current state of the TWST fandom. “I’m a little in denial about everything […]”, and, “I am very well aware I’m grasping at straws. I just don’t want […]” Don’t we realize it???? We sound exactly like Malleus. We’re in denial about what’s happening and we don’t want things to change.

I wonder if this was planned out from the very beginning. The devs getting us invested in the world of TWST and its characters, only to threaten to take it all away at the very end. This relates exactly with lines Malleus drops about his beloved virtual pet: “Gao-Gao Dragon-kun is fictitious, he more or less exists in a fairy tale. If that is the case, then I don’t see a reason to put a (30 day limit) on his lifespan.” Lilia chimes in, agreeing that it is like a “never ending fantasy”, but then points out that it is because you need to eventually say goodbye that you will cherish the time spent together all the more. Notice their phrasing, all the references to desiring a fairy tale which never ends. That is what we, the players AND Malleus, want. We want to stay like this, forever and ever, locked in one place. We don’t want Lilia to go, we don’t want the third years to leave on their internships, we don’t want the students to graduate and leave us.

This is what fiction like TWST provides for us, an escape from reality, where magical things happen and we’re surrounded by fun people who always stay with you no matter how much you change in the real world—and now TWST is challenging that notion. Is it really right to want to live in an eternal dream like this, at the cost of fabricating your happiness?? Or is it better to wake up and face reality, no matter how harsh it may be?? Even if our loved ones will leave, even if Lilia will die? This is both what Malleus and we, the players, need to come to terms with, rather than continue to delude and convince ourselves to stay in “the dream” with a false sense of security.

Though he is curious of what species you are considering you almost look like a beastman like Leona yet the ears you have arent identified of any creatures he ever heard of. It was after the overblot accident and during he's time in the infirmary where he get to know you more and appreciates your company.

You and Trey are good friends. You two would always bake some sweets and goods for either the Tea party in Heartslabyul or for the patients in the infirmary. During Chapter 2, Trey was amazed when you use heal pulse on him considering healings spells are kinda hard to master so he makes sure that he would return the favor later on.

You can say that Cater kinda has a crush on ya. He loves how cute you are and always posts every moment with ya in Magicam, especielly pictures of you working and using your moves either during P.E. or in the Infirmary (where she would reprimanded him about him posting such things without her permission)

Adeuce are always drawn to trouble, whether intentionally or not, so you always stick by their side and make sure to prepare a bag of needed necessities in case of them being hurt.

Leona dislikes you. You didnt just became a pain in the neck by just snooping and trying to solve why the students got hurt but you also heal them like they werent hurt in the first place. After the overblot incident, Leona got acquainted with you and thank you for the help you had done for him. Also, whenever Cheka visits, he would always dump the responsibility onto you as you would instantly care for the kid with no hesitation.

Also finds you as a hindrence into the plans but secratly, Ruggie appreciates you as you would sometimes sense him being stress and tired from all the work he had done so on occasions where you prescription him to rest, you always gave him some treats and even doughnuts for him to enjoy during he's needed break.

Saw you a few times but didnt exactly mind you until the events in Chapter 2. During the fight to prove yourselves to him, Jack was kinda shock at how good you are and how strong some of your moves are like pound during the fight. Soon afterwards he became your friend and great comrade especielly during Chapter 3.

Azul was very interested at the 'magic' you have and tries to have it to himself when he first saw you used it until you discuss that you are from another world and that the magic you is actually isnt exactly magic at all. None the less, Azul plans on finding one way or another until after he's over blot incident where Azul just apprecietes and treasures your time and caring nature to him, as you would use your special hearing to make sure Azul is mentally stable and move on from he's troubling past.

Very interesting. Jade follows you with he's brother to see what they could find to go against ya until it kinda back fired with both of them being whack in the head by a folded piece of paper for spying and disturbing her. Yet despite all of that, both of you are in good terms and would make small talks in the infirmary.

Floyd just wants to squeeze ya! You are just so cute and cuddly! Especially after he tried to do so in the infirmary, where he ended up (thanks to Jade) and got smacked behind the head for doing so. You always find Floyd abit hard to be with but add some treats and some funny stpries and you both are sold.

An Audino? Whats that!? Kalim quickly asks you a bunch of questions in astonishment at hearing that you are from a new world and an entirely different from the beastman in Twisted Wonderland. You two are great friends from the start and would trade some treats and fruit during lunch time and I would imagine that during Chapter 4, you tried to help Kalim with he's sudden 'Mood swings' to calm him down and to try to reason with him.

Jamil finds you a hindrance to he's plans especielly your hearing. You can simply tell that he is lying from he's heartbeat and that he is nervous when the Azul, Jade and Floyd. When he threw them out he had kept you, considering your power a great addition to he's own as you became a cute little servant to him alone. After the whole incident, Jamil was kinda shock at how forgiving you are as you can understand that he just wanted to be first for once yet you had to be therapist once more to make sure that he is in great health (with you giving him extra attention to help with it)

👑POMEFIORE👑

You would always go to the dorm for Apples to be used at the infirmary yet Vil would pull you aside and check to see if you had taken care of your hair, skin, and etc. He would be greatful that you prepare exceptional meals during training in Chapter 5 to accommodate for their needs and wants for the final performance.

Rook would instantly stalk you like he would do to any prey one who had caught he's eye. You werent oblivious. You would always whack him and lacture him that what he was doing can be disturbing and distracting yet the Pomeifiore student didnt discourage and kept on doing he's routine.

Sometimes, you see yourself in Epel. Everyone can mostly underestimate you because of your looks and purpose in work, so you sometimes showed them that Audinos are strong and arent weak in battles. You and Epel would always have a nice break of bake goods and teas whenever you two have the time togather.

What is this? A DATING SIM!? Idia was very curious about you, especielly after the meeting in Chapter 2, yet he can be very timid, shy and even stubborn of actually meeting you, especially on check ups. The only way you can get him out or let you in (forcefully or not) was to trick him into thinking that Grim was with her, which he had fallen every time.

You love kida and Orthro is just a sweet little bean. You loved how loyal and cheerful the little bot is, especially to he's brother. Orthro kinda reminds you of a Rotom in a machine so you two kinda discuss about the mention pokemon, much to Orthro glee and excitement.

Malleus can sense you are some type of fea. Though you ard a normal type, as you had explained to him, the dragon fea cant help but kinda doubt what you had said due to what he had somehow felt a fea essence in you but he let it slide. For now. And considering how you dont know him and that you feel he's loneliness, you two are match made in heavan.

Oya? Lilia became intrigued once he had saw you in the entrence ceremony. He may live a long time, longer than Malleus but there some things that he may not know. And you are one of them. You two being parental, you both would discuss and have fun telling stories about the youngs ones from either worlds and their history to one another.

You always brought a pillow for Silver or prepare your Hyper voice for him to wake up. When you heard that Silver always sleeps, you were kinda worry for him until Lilia points out its kinda normal for him. Silver appreciates your effort of helping him with he's sleeping spells as you would prepare coffee or anything that could wake him up...though he kinda hates when you had to use Hyper voice.

See's you as a capable and reliable nurse to help Malleus-Sama, though you have to repeatedly wack him a thousand times to remind him to tune down he's voice whenever, or atleast in the infirmary, to not stress others or make their ears bleed.

-Very accepting, polite and respectful. I value these three traits a lot as they are the foundation of relationships in my opinion.

Another rant about some Shady Eels

So, back again to talk about the shady eels though this time focusing on how with the information we’ve been given we can pretty well confirm the Leech family are mafia. We’ve gotten a few solid gems of information the last little while, pretty well confirming what we always figured. Octavinelle has got that mafia theme, so everyone expected some shadiness, but the info we’ve been fed about the Leech parents really brings home that it’s not just the dorm theme, and that the twins and Azul aren’t just “cosplaying as mafia baddies for aesthetic”. 

So what exactly do we KNOW? 

The twins were taught self defense by their parents from a young age. (Jade voice lines)

When they were children their parents ‘associates’ would buy them luxury or rare  birthday gifts...then were made to sign waivers saying that the gift had no ulterior motives and wouldn’t constitute a favour in return.  (Jade birthday)

Their father has told them that appearances on land are important, and to pay close attention to the little details. (When Idia asks for further clarification, he cuts Floyd off before he goes further saying that any further and he feels like he’d be “ensnared by darkness”) (Floyd dance and wishes wish)

So obviously, without 100% confirmation, it’s impossible to say MAFIA LEECH ARE CANON, but with everything we’ve been given I’m pretty confident in saying it’s damn likely. That’s not even the fun part, cause it’s so surface level obvious considering Octavinelles theme, I decided to jump into it more. @chillableu​ had posted a comment in a shared discord that really got my brain whirring about WHY the mafia fam is maybe a bigger thing than just aesthetic, and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it since. Headcanon accepted, chilla. I thank you. (I took out your name in case you didn’t want anyone on discord to find you by it)

  I’ll put the rest of this under a cut since it’s really just me theorizing and head canoning a whole ton of shit about the Leech fam based on humans treating fish as lesser beings incapable of the same level of emotions and intelligence as themselves, adding in bits from other media that has mermaids, mythology, and a touch of the history of the mafia.

Not even really sure where to start with this, but here we go. So, What if the Leech fam (be it great grandpa/grandma leech or current Leeches) started the mafia as a way to protect themselves due to the mistreatment of merfolk that were more “monster” like than the regular human kind mermaids we’ve only seen up until now. Its reported that the original Sicilian mafia started as a way for certain families that were facing persecution from the rest of the towns that eventually spiraled into the crime syndicates we all know from various media today. Outside of the twins and Azul, all the other merfolk that have been shown in game have been the “fully human on top, fish bottom” type, and with Azul being bullied because we was a rare 8 legged mermaid, and the magicamonsters from the Halloween event seeing merfloyd and remarking how RARE it was to see one, so I’m thinking that maybe the Leech fam started as a way to protect themselves, since if carnivorous merfolk are seen as more brutish, they may have seen a lot of discrimination from other merfolk and humans alike. 

It’s no secret that Toboso has been covering a lot of heavy topics dressed up in Disney clothes, and has already addressed discrimination and fetishization with the scarabia, savanaclaw, and more recently Diasomnia boys (well, mostly Malleus in the halloween event being treated like an object). So what I’m thinking is that there’s an underlying problem in the twstverse, where non-humans are treated badly, and non-humans with monster features even more so. So the leech fam bands together with whatever other monster like merfolk families there are and create their own little area in the coral sea, and eventually expand out into other types of business until they’re in a comfortable enough position to not really worry about any backlash anymore. Floyd has shown some distaste before about being ordered around by humans, which could be an ingrained quality from his parents, or he himself may have experienced some form of mistreatment at the hands of humans before. If the leech fam has a lot of ‘associates’ I think it’s safe to say that they weren’t the only ones feeling abandoned by the normal merfolk and humans .

In Japanese folklore there are creatures called Ningyo (basically human fish), which were both feared as creatures that would bring calamity and misfortune, and prized as their flesh was supposed to be sweet tasting and grant near immortality if eaten. Mermaids in a lot of more modern media are also more nuanced than the “beautiful fish that sailors fall in love with”. Even in One Piece, there’s the mermaids that are captured and sold off to the rich as prize objects to collect and display, and the Fishmen, which are the strong brutes that are ostracised by nearly everyone in series for them simply being fish. If Toboso wanted to touch on the mythology in TWST it would make sense that the more monster-like mermaids have created their own sub-society separate from the regular merfolk. During the Halloween event, the children seem to be pretty scared by Floyd because he’s huge, so what if that’s nothing new for him and why he’s so good with kids? Cause as a mermaid they’re used to people being openly scared of them without any good reason outside of their appearance. I also suspect that Floyd and Jade have a few more siblings, since in one of Floyds home screen lines he says that he’s not the youngest nor the oldest, and tbh, eels lay thousands of eggs, so it wouldn’t be surprising that he knew how to deal with the kid without any struggle. 

What if, when the eels are first hatched they’re a lot smaller than they were and like in the original article that started all of this, humans were needlessly cruel to them and many of them died out of sheer neglect, or that humans just didn’t think merfolk as capable as having acute emotions and saw them as lowly fish rather than sentient beings. We saw with the Magicamonsters that there’s a complete disregard for the feelings of Malleus when they made it a challenge to touch his horns and get a picture, so I imagine that has to extend to merfolk as well when they’re actually seen. That same mindset could have extended to the regular mermaids as well, which is why mermaids like Azul were so tormented for being different, even though they’re all fucking mermaids at the end of the day. So bringing this back to the Leech fam, they decided that they weren’t going to stand for the same level of discrimination from humans and other merfolk alike and began building their own empire. They have contacts in the sea that extend to those on land (otherwise how would the twins get the rare land items for their birthdays), and have an extensive network of associates, with the added bonus of brilliant mermaid twins, one of which is incredibly cunning, the other quick to violence and both of them raised to defend themselves should the need arise. 

So basically, I’m fully on the “Mafia Leech Fam is canon for real” train and at this point it’s going to be very hard to change my mind. I feel like there were a few more things I wanted to touch on with this but they’ve poofed themselves into the depths of my mind somewhere, so I may have to come back to them later. If you have anything to add, please let me know cause brain rotting about the Leech fam is honestly one of my favourite past times right now.

[Twisted Wonderland Theory] Poker Face Characters...

This was a requested theory that I procrastinated on. Poker face characters are characters who even incredibly observant people like Rook can't even tell what their thinking.

Here's the list of poker face characters in TWST:

Leona: No one can tell what Leona's thinking. Even Rook had to confront Ruggie into telling him Leona's weakness: vegetables. The fact that Leona spends majority of his time sleeping, that makes it even harder to figure out his motives and what he's thinking.

Leech Twins: Both of them, Jade and Floyd. For Jade, first of all, he's very secretive, he's almost always smiling, so it's hard to tell whether he's actually happy or not. He scares people off and honestly, he is a somewhat dark character. I think he could be the mastermind if he was in Danganronpa. I think the people that understand him the most are Floyd and Azul, that's because they're around him all the time, the trio like, read each others minds.

For Floyd, it's easy to tell whether he's happy or angry, but since his emotions change so suddenly and frequently, it's hard to really pinpoint what Floyd's character is, other than moody. Floyd's intimating when he's pissed off and then when he's really nice he often expects something in return, just like any other Octavinelle student. You never know what he'll do next, he could be sleeping one moment then running a mile the next. The twins stay together not only because they're twins, but also because Floyd is unexpectable, and Jade loves unexpectable events.

Idia?: He's a shut-in, so it's almost impossible to find him out and about, maybe unless you wake up at the middle of the night and decide to a get snack at the vending machines, or unless your in Ignihyde. People know he loves his games, and some of the characters have experienced him talking bad about them, but I don't think Rook himself knows that he talks bad about people behind closed doors.

Malleus: Now, I'm quite positive that Rook knows Malleus can turn into a dragon because of his nickname for him. But other than that, a lot about him is pretty unknown. If his own body guard, Silver, and his extremely loyal assistant, Sebek, can't find him when he's missing, how can Rook find him? Not only does he leave whenever he wants, he can just disappear, so it's near impossible to find him again. Since he's intimating for others, no one is often around him, so its not like Rook can just go up to some random Diasomnia student and ask where Malleus went.

Silver?: I think this because although Silver is very open about his love for his father, Silver rarely ever similes, so it's hard to tell what he's thinking. But then, maybe he doesn't think much about many things, and mainly just focuses on things like his sleeping problem, training, etc.. . That kind of stuff.

Lilia: He's very different compared to other Diasomnia students, he's cheerful and friendly rather than cold or serious. He said during the new Happy Beans Day event something along the lines of, "Elusive demon general". Elusive means difficult to find, catch, or keep. Judging by that, Rook would most likely struggle to know what Lillia's motive is.

Jamil looked down at your kneeling figure on the bed with a smirk, the golden shackles tightly secured around your ankles suited you abnormally well. “I guess that’s just expected from you. Good job.”

Of course you did good, you knew damn well how much he was going to hurt you if you didn’t. 

As much as you preferred to say such response, you chose to stay quiet instead and looked down. His hand stroked your hair, petting you like some kind of an obidient dog he trained. Well, in your current situation, that metaphor doesn’t really feel that far off actually. You jokingly but morbidly thought that it’s just a matter of time before he decides to put a collar on you and calls you pet names rather than your own given name. You shivered at the thought, you wish it could just remain a dark joke but something tells you it’s a sign from the future. 

“...Do you know what day it is tomorrow?” You looked up at him with tired eyes, dark circles were already forming around. Still, you tilted your head, trying to jog your memory for what he could be talking about. It was tough, you don’t even know the exact date of what today is. “It’s kind of a special day for me, just so you know.”

You blinked as Jamil smiled at you, his hand slowly moving from your head to caress your cheek. You gulped nervously as he looked down at you, he was challenging you to guess what he was talking about. “...Huh...” You let out a single sound of confusion, blinking repeatedly. “Wha...?”

However, with that kind of response, Jamil’s smile turned upside down in disappointment. You flinched as the hand on your cheek tightened and began glaring at you, enough to cause a spark of panic to run down your spine. With your disoriented self, you internally searched all the remaining files located in your brain, which was not very much to begin with and yet, you can’t quite figure out what this special day seems to imply. Your heart beats faster as Jamil’s expression darken the more you stay quiet, you’ve spent enough time with this guy to know how much of a bad news that is.

“...B-Birthday...!” You blurted out in pure instinct. You weren’t sure of it, it was a guess that you only formulated based on the time that you knew before getting confined in this room. You knew it’s risky to leave something like this to luck, but right now, you have no other choice but to believe in yourself. “I-It’s...It’s your birthday, r-right…?”

Jamil stared at you for a while, his eyes staring deeply within your soul, something that made you break in cold sweat. You were prepared to whatever hell this guy will bring you once he confirmed your answer was wrong, but it still doesn’t change the fact that it still scares you. However, Jamil eventually gave you a smile and grabbed your chin to bring you closer to him. “Correct~” He whispered and never in your life had you felt this thankful for your luck. “…And do you know what will happen during that day?”

Just when you thought that your game of Verbal Russian Roulette was cleared, another question pops out from his mouth. This time, the answer could be anything, what will happen during his birthday? Obviously, Kalim will never pass off the opportunity to throw a feast that can feed an entire kingdom just to celebrate his best friend’s birthday. That was the obvious answer, but Jamil has a different look in his eyes that awakens the overwhelming doubt in you. You don’t know the answer, why was he making you guess in the first place, it’s his birthday, isn’t it?

With a nervous gulp, your face paled and looked down before shaking your head slightly. “…N-No, I don’t…” You admitted, voice suddenly felt weak, despite feeling really strong in your head. 

To your surprise, Jamil just chuckled and you felt his hand tuck a strand of hair behind your ears, slightly fixing your appearance. “That’s fine, it’s not like you would know it in the first place. I was just teasing you.” He said with a smirk and you couldn’t help but to glare at him slightly. He sounded like he was being playful by those words but you knew this guy was deriving off sick pleasure by seeing your panicked form. 

Jamil then grabbed you by the chin, pulling you close to him just enough to land a gentle kiss on your cheek. It still made you squirm in discomfort but gestures like these were still better than those times where he’s feeling aggressive. He then leaned into your ear, his voice has the natural ability to make you shiver from head to toe. “Tomorrow...is the one day that I would be considered as the number one priority.” He said, you could feel his hand stroking your thighs and it was making the little hairs stand on its end. “It’s a special day where everyone would be heeding all my needs.”

“...And that includes you.” You didn’t know what he was trying to get out of this. You so desperately wanted to bitterly state to him how the day didn’t need to be his birthday for you to obey him. He already had you following every of his beck and call, forcefully so. “That’s why, tomorrow...”

“I want to make you mine. Let’s become one, (Y/N).” Jamil finished, you couldn’t see him from your current angle but you could practically feel his lips twisting into a smirk. “A special event for a special day. Don’t you think that’s wonderful?”

You didn’t respond, even if your heart felt like it stopped beating for a while as you could feel yourself paling instantly. You kept your emotions calm, probably because you were at a loss of how to react, but a single strand of sweat drips down your forehead. It was enough to scream just how much distress and panic you were feeling inside your mind. 

You didn’t know if Jamil detected it or not, but regardless, he chuckled once again. He pulled away from you, his fingers brushing against your face for another uncomfortable second. “I have to do something now.” He said as he stood up from the bed, leaving you to stare back at him with a gulp. “You don’t have to think of anything else, I’ll take care of you so, stay in this room as always.”

“I’ll come back soon, my Little Diamond.”

With a final chilling smile, Jamil waved at you slightly before fully exiting the room, leaving you to think in your accordance. Your eyes lingered at the structure of the door for an unnecessary amount of time, your head in shambles. Then, a minute passed by, the ticking of the clock was becoming louder and louder until it was downright deafening. Your mouth that was left ajar in shock began quavering and without any particular reason of why, your hand clutched your chest, wrinkling your sleeping dress. You began to breath heavily, you tried to control the panic but your heart rate was sky-rocketing that it feels like you’re going to get suffocated, your mind slowly getting light-headed.

Jamil just dropped the weight of reality on your already fragile self that it was difficult to keep the tears from pouring out of your eyes. He said something so concerning and walked away like you’re just going to accept something like that. It almost feel like he’s just pulling a prank on you, to see you panic like this because he knew how terrified you would be once a situation like that had befallen on you. It would’ve been fine if it was a joke, you wouldn’t even get mad and even praise him for sounding so convincing, but the man you’re facing here is someone named Jamil Viper. This man who had forcefully hid you from the world for who knows how long now, the man who had made you do things that you weren’t willing to do, the man who didn’t hesitate to bruise and scar you if you go so much as to talk back against him.

You knew more than anyone else that this man was not one to pull such a joke like this.

The air conditioning in your room wasn’t even blowing that strong, the temperature has nothing to do with how much you were shaking. Yet, you buried yourself in the blanket, hoping to just shrunk down in a molecular level and disappear. You were scared, what else were you supposed to feel? The thought of being forever bounded with someone like Jamil is just…Frightening.

It’s not like you were a stranger to his touch either, his hands had already travelled around your body and reached places that your mother told you as a child to never let anyone touch. It started out with suffocating hugs and forceful kisses, you could still feel how tight he gripped your jaw at that time. His hands came next, you felt them caressing every little part of you, from your thighs to your stomach then, to your breasts. You remember how you couldn’t stop crying that night, unfamiliar of a man’s touch as Jamil’s whispers haunts your ears. The feeling of his hand kneading your breast and the other stimulating the wetness of the flower between your legs, it all filled you with shame up to this day.

Your virginity was the only thing that he never dares to steal just yet and for a moment, you thought that he may just be the romantic type to wait until marriage, but this night, you were stand corrected. It feels like you’re going to break down with just his little inappropriate touches that leads to momentary orgasms, how much more would it damage you when he finally stuck his seed inside you? The thought made your heart drop for a second and you quickly clasped your hands in front of your mouth. You could’ve swore bile had piled itself in your throat right there but thankfully, nothing came up.

You moved your legs slightly, closing them in anxiety but flinched at the sound of the chains clanging together. You pulled the blanket off your ankle, staring at the golden shackles decorated with dazzling rubies, it was beautiful but you wished Jamil placed that beauty in some other accessories out there. It was pleasing to look at but you hated these shackles, you can’t get used to the sound of it at all. It was like it was mocking you about how utterly hopeless your situation is, that you could never ever escape from such a life. In which, in a sense, makes you even more depressed on how true it sounds like.

Don’t get yourself wrong here, you really did tried your best to escape this hell of a room you’re in. There was a window giving you a fair share of sunlight but it was on the opposite side of the room and these shackles were stuck to the wall and could only go so far until the bathroom. There’s also the possibility that the room you’re in might be on the highest part of this place, you just can’t see Jamil making the mistake of putting you in a low place if he so badly wanted to keep you in here. You would want to try other various things to get off your binds but the moment Jamil sees a single trace of you trying to damage these chains is another opportunity for him to mess up a part of your body. You shivered and unconsciously scratched your throat, the lingering feeling of his hands were still on them. 

Aah, you don’t want this, you never wanted this, whatever did you do to your past life to deserve this? You didn’t want to sound like a whiny child but at this point, you were running out of options. As expected, you’re just no match for someone like Jamil, was this why he chose you in the first place? You played almost all tricks in the book and the remaining ones doesn’t seem so likely to work and the one thing that still makes you, yourself, is going to be taken away tomorrow. You’re so exhausted that you just want to sleep forever in this soft bed, but at the same time, you didn’t want to give up just yet, not when you already made it this far.

…But that still raises the question, what else can you do…? You have…no more valuable moves to play.

It’s checkmate.

You shivered at your own thoughts, no, that can’t be it. There has to be something else you can do! Something, something, something…! Once tomorrow comes, Jamil will finally take your virginity and that would absolutely seal your fate. That is the last step that bounds you forever with that guy and you…You don’t want that! You definitely need some kind of plan before that could happen, you need to be free or else, you’ll-

“Excuse me.”

In the midst of your breakdown, a knock on the door had you letting out a small yelp but at the same time, saved you from falling deep into your own desperation. You turned to the door in fear, only to quickly breathe the most relieved sigh you could possibly make as it opened for a different person and not the person you were dreading to see. It was just a Scarabia student who you happen to be familiar with, since he’s really the only person you’re able to see. The student who holds the job to bring you food when Jamil would be unable to. “The Vice Dorm Leader seems to be really busy right now so, I was instructed to bring you dinner.” He informed as he carefully placed a small table in the middle of your bed.

“Ah, thank you…” You said as you sniffled whilst he placed the plates of food in the table. He took one small glance at your appearance and you could already tell how guilty he looked like as he quickly looked away with his eyebrow slightly scrunched together. Your eyes softened, you always considered the Scarabia students as the nicest students in Night Raven College, probably influenced by their happy-go-lucky Dorm Leader. It’s just a shame how loyal they are with Jamil as well, considering how they know about your current situation but never really talked about it outside they’re dorms. You don’t blame them though, you knew they weren’t bad kids who doesn’t care about what will happen to you in this room, you knew that they were questioning Jamil inside their minds too.

This guy finished placing all your food on the tables, drinks and all, ready for you to eat without any problem. You give him a slight smile but you didn’t touch the food just yet. Bothered by his own conscience, the guy couldn’t help but open his mouth, seeing how utterly depressed you are. “Um…It’s not my place to say this but…” He started, taking a deep breath. “…Whatever our Vice Dorm Leader did this time, I’m sorry…Just please stay as strong as possible.”

You looked at him with your eyes slightly widen, his unexpected words somehow raised your heart up. He smiled at you slightly but quickly realized what he just said, covering his mouth. “Ah, that’s bad, I forgot I’m not allowed to interact with you for more than three minutes.” He said in panic before waving at you and turned his heel. “I’ll be going now…! Goodbye-“

“Why?” The guy stopped in his tracks and widened his eyes when he saw your teary eyes. “Why are all of you putting up with this?”

“Hey…Don’t you think this is wrong? Why are you all still following Jamil like this?” You looked up at him with an upset look. You felt bad confronting this one student whose only job is to bring you food like this, but you just found your mouth moving by itself. “It’s wrong, isn’t it? This isn’t fair for both you, me, and everyone else so…Why?”

“A-Ah...Please don’t cry...! Um...!” The guy scratched the back of his head, clearly hesitating whether he should just bolt out of the room or answer you right here and now. “…We know it’s wrong, but…It’s not like it’s that easy to go against our Vice Dorm Leader like you said…” 

“Even if we want to help you, we can’t…That puts us in the dangerous risk instead, considering what the Vice Dorm Leader can really do.” He explained, biting his bottom lip. “Our Dorm Leader is kind and really believes in our Vice Dorm Leader too so, we don’t want to cause him any more trouble than he’s already receiving.”

You pursed your lips together and wiped your frustrated tears. “Y-You’re right…I’m sorry for lashing out on you like that...” You apologized, no matter how desperate you are, you just don’t think you can live by the thought of endangering a bunch of innocent lives just to escape. You looked up at him as your vision clears up, your mind throwing away any irrational thoughts to leave space for critical thinking. That’s right, a bunch of innocent lives are in stake here but this guy...This guy can...

You slowly widened your eyes as a spark of hope came knocking at your door. There is still another way after all! “T-Then…! Would you listen to me!?” You suddenly yelled, startling the poor guy. “You alone is fine!”

The guy looked at you in bewilderment. “H-Huh…!? Are you saying that your gonna sacrifice me or something because that’s…!” He panicked but you quickly shook your head and hopped off the bed.

“No! Of course not! That’s not what I meant!” You said as you walked towards him and grabbed both of his hands, looking at him sternly. “I meant that the others don’t need to get involved, you alone can help me escape!”

“L-Like I said…”

“It’s fine, you don’t have to worry!” You leaned closer to him, your determined eyes were all fired up for the first time in a while. The poor kid didn’t know where to look as his face turns red and the hands you were gripping was beginning to sweat as well. “I’ll definitely come and protect you!”

“The more people I ask for help, the more risk of Jamil finding out, that’s why I only need your cooperation for this mission.” You said. “If we could pull this off and I successfully escape, I can come and look for help. 

“There’s no way I’d just leave you guys to face Jamil here just in case he goes berserk.” You said in a giggle, rendering the guy vulnerable to your touch. Finally, you looked up at him with a pleading but determined look. “That’s why...Would you please hear me out?”

The guy gulped down, nervous of the next words he was going to say. On one hand, he knew that he should just refuse, seeing how he doesn’t even know whether he’ll be able to pull whatever plan you have. But looking at the fire in your eyes, he really do feel sympathetic of your situation and understood your desire to be free. Even he doesn’t want you to live like this but he’s powerless on his own. 

“I-I get it...” He hesitantly said, unsure eyes couldn’t hide just how many doubts was lingering in them. “But if it goes down south, I’m pulling out, okay?”

You lighted up with a huge smile of appreciation. “That’s fine! I won’t let you be in harm’s way!” You swore as you let go of his hand. “Let’s be quick, Jamil might come back soon...!”

“So, listen carefully to what I have to say...”

Im a pisces, and an INFP ! Im usually open minded and creative, and impulsive on most occasions . I am very productive once i understand my goal and i want to better myself in my own way. I am very sympathetic and usually am the therapist of the group, its a kind of love language ? I like listening to people (mostly friends) and just letting them decompress in my presence. I like being trusted in a way someone can mentally and emotionally rely on me from time to time. Usually i tend to be quiet in public spaces and with strangers until someone brings up interests they like,, and i kind of blabber about it until we become pretty good friends lol. I tend to daydream quite often and i am pretty melancholic and nostalgic as a person,, i really like reminiscing about certain past events and overall i just like that kind of vibe too.

I am heavily introverted, i like being around friends (quality time !!) But if im at a party with people i dont know i dont talk or anything. Its easy for me to be left out and feel lonely. I do also unfortunately isolate myself from time to time for long periods. I very often feel like the amount of love i can give is not reciprocated?

Regarding my interests,, i really like soft desserts like ice cream , and i just overall like warm and cozy things and places. I admire hard work, and i like when someone is able to hear out about different opinions,, i like confidence but not the kind that makes you arrogant ? I really admire straightforward people who sometimes Tell You Like It Is™️ but also help you figure out stuff. I also really get along with people with a slightly dumb sense of humor.

My main aim is to understand people, i want to help people and listen to them, i want to hear about the things they cant really tell anyone because they think its not that important or its not too interesting or maybe its too heavy. I want to understand a lot of people, even if i might not like them.

If you don't mind me asking why do you think Cater wouldn't initially have a healthy relationship? I haven't done any of his personal stories yet and don't know much about him so I'm curious!

NcjsnsksnNSKSBKSS It’s funny that I have so many requests to analyze Cater, because he’s not very popular on my blog, or in the TWST fandom as a whole. He’s one of those boys that I feel like gets overlooked because he, like Vil, is seen as superficial. That couldn’t be further from the truth.

I don’t even like Cater personally, but I have very strong opinions about him...!! My thoughts below the cut (warning: spoilers for Cater’s UM and personal stories; there is also discussion of mental health); it’s going to be long:

OKAY.

So from the beginning, it is clear that many people, even those within his own dormitory, see Cater as shallow and carefree. At first glance, it’s easy to see why people have this perception of him. Cater’s always smiling and speaking casually, and he is on his smartphone/social media quite often. When it comes to actually having to carry out tasks, he tricks others into taking on his duties or otherwise finds ways to shirk his work.

This is all a façade that he has worked to perfect and present to the world, and most people fall for it.

Going back to his MagiCam obsession, I don’t think it is just a cute gimmick or funny quirk. Time and time again in his personal stories, Cater is shown to be seemingly addicted to his phone. He goes to exceptional lengths to make sure his MagiCam account is aesthetically pleasing and thinks about how he can maximize views and rack in new followers. He’s much more calculated than you would think him to be.

Now then. Why is Cater so dedicated? He’s probably just a smart phone or social media addict, right? He’s just an influencer, so it’s all just a part of his job, right? I think the real reason is something much more dark.

You can see in his ceremonial robes and lab coat personal stories that there are little hints of Cater’s “true” personality.

When he is alone, he is much more somber. He makes remarks about how he is tired and doesn’t care about the entrance ceremony (a typically very exciting event), yet he still forces himself to be present and wear a smile. However, what makes Cater happy in this moment is that fact that he took nice photographs for his social media.

When signs of his “true” personality show around his classmates (he infuses his “sad” personality to a mandrake), Cater firstly denies it--then he doubles the amount of work he initially did in order to cover for the “sad” mandrake. This is the same Cater that shirked his work, making the freshmen paint the roses red and arrange cutlery for him. 

From these two SR personal stories, we can deduce a few things: 1) Cater is not daijoubu, and 2) he uses MagiCam/social media has a means of coping, and 3) he puts forth great effort to hide the sad side of him from the public eye. Now, it’s unclear as to why exactly Cater is like this, since we know very little of his past (only a bit about his family life, like that he has two bossy older sisters and that the Diamonds love “cute things”). That’s a whole 'nother story for a different day.

For another perspective, let’s consider Cater’s Unique Magic, Split Card. A Unique Magic is something that only a single person can use--it is highly individualized and tied to the personality, history, and/or attributes of its user. Just as Riddle’s Off With Your Head allows him to have a sense of control in his life when he had none in childhood, I believe Cater’s UM is a reflection of who he really is. He wears many “faces”, just as Split Card allows him to duplicate himself many times over. Each clone acts independently, almost as though they have a mind of their own, each a personality or a mask that Cater wears to distract from his true emotional distress. He is also said to be good at acting, which he uses to his advantage to mask what he is really like.

The point is, it’s perfectly justifiable why many people view Cater as being shallow--because that is what he wants the public to see and believe. What’s truly difficult is capturing Cater’s true essence--someone who is hurting, but shuns others for fear of being rejected if he is anything less than the pretty photos he posts on MagiCam.

For this reason, I feel like it would be difficult for him to be in a healthy romantic relationship. He’ll play the part of a doting boyfriend well enough, but that isn’t really a healthy relationship because in reality, he is closed off from you. Cater would have issues with being open about his feelings with his partner, and he might just fixate more on MagiCam as a means of escaping. The romance, much like his cheery personality, would be superficial at best. He needs to learn to be more trusting of others, and to put the phone down and be honest with himself for once.

If you are interested in a piece that integrates both aspects of Cater--the superficial and the deeper side to him--in the context of a romance, I would recommend reading Shine Like a Diamond. I feel that it is a decent glimpse into his many faces and it would help people to appreciate his character a little more!
