Bad Batch and the Mandalorian have broken me, so I'm posting something other than Star Wars. Well, kind of...

I've been on a MW2 kick right now, so here's Ghost and Soap as Mandalorians. Because if the 141 was in the star wars universe, they would definitely be Mandalorians. "Weapons are part of my religion"? Yea, that's them. And Ghost is the same faction as Din, a purist who doesn't remove his helmet. Soap definitely isn't lol

Mfs be like "oh he's my babygirl<3" or "he whimpers fr" or "submissive and breedable". And then the whole character tag is like FULL of that character being dominant and topping the reader. Ummm?? Excuse me, but I thought we were gonna be making them ride us until all that's left are pretty little tears, nonsensical babbling, constant begging, relentless whimpering, knees buckling, thighs trembling, hips twitching, frantic gripping, feverish sobbing, and loud moaning, all from a hot, needy mess desperate for release???

Mando!141 AU HCs Before I Start Writing

Soap is your typical mando. Fully customized kit, wanton usage of explosives, constantly cursing up a storm. Frequently on fire. His kit has been modified to allow for more motion with a flex breastplate and braces on the vambraces to allow for him to elbow a bitch. Armor colors are orange and green - a lust for life and duty. His beskar is inherited from a long line of ancestors, and he takes exceptionally good care of it. Concord Dawn prior to glassing.

Gaz is a bit more 'passing' as non-mando. Wears the breastplate, gauntlets, boots, typically tends to have his bucket off but whether that's because he can win more people over with his smile than his blaster is his own little secret. Coruscanti accent, quick with his blaster but can also wield vibroblades pretty adequately. BIG on the jetpacks. blue and green armor - reliability and duty. Got his kit from his great uncle when he retired and Gaz was, like, 14.

Ghost doesn't take his bucket off. Ever. At some point manages to get the darksaber - does not hold on to it. Dry, pops jokes every so often but otherwise kind of looms, speaks almost entirely in mando'a to his vod and it sounds real intimidating but if u understand what he's saying it's just like. the fucking tank joke. black and white armor - justice and fresh starts to commemorate his new life serving as a bounty hunter maybe? Full kit akin to ARC troopers in the clone wars with a big dark cloak thrown over top because he's dramatic. Has cobbled together the beskar over the years, didn't start out with a full kit but quickly earned it beating the shit out of scumbag mandos.

Price tends to have his bucket off about as much as he has it on - 50/50 split, mostly because it's easier to pretend he's not exasperated when he has his bucket on and his vocoder going. Green, light green and brown - duty, a desire for peace, and valor. Earned his beskar piece by piece. Directs his vod in mando'a because not a lot of people speak it which gives them a tactical advantage, but won't do it when they're not in the field like Soap or Ghost will because he considers it kind of rude.

I think AUs and crossovers of my favorite stories and characters heal my soul. Like come on. COD’s 141 as mandalorians? Absolutely. In fact, it’s lovely. Puts me back together and fills my soul with whimsy.

Also it’s usually pretty hot, but yeah mostly it fills my soul with whimsy.

Also, the emotional material there???? Like you’re telling me you don’t think there’s insane potential with ghostsoap pining with mandalorian creed rules interfering???? To love and care for someone so much, so much love unspoken, and to not be able to see their face? Because of course not, you’re not romantically involved, why would you see their face. OH my god the absolute emotional damage. To yearn and not have because of the cost, but the cost of having is worth it in the end!

I know I’m not crazy for this!

Mandalorian Ghost.

This may be very niche but I can’t possibly be the only person alive who both loves soapghost and also the absolute untouchable epic that is no-droids Mandalorian fanfiction Rough Day.

And I just love that fic so much, have reread it over and over an embarrassing number of times and in so many ways it feels so perfect for soapghost! We have the obvious parallel - an untouchable man with a hidden face and the onnneeee person who wriggles behind their barriers. But also, Mandalorian!ghost, a man without a name, a dead man, but one who has a guiding path in the Way the same way ghost has in the 141. And god, it’s just so juicy to have ghost - who is 100% terrified of being a father, of becoming his father - made to be a father. Especially because as a mandalorian, he would have a principle to face this fear and overcome it - Gar taldin ni jaonyc; gar sa buir, ori'wadaas'la. Nobody cares who your father was, only the father you'll be. This is the Way.

And god, SOAP! Johnny MacTavish, he’s nothing like Sweet Girl is, but also yes he is!! He would fight Ghost harder about staying behind and just staying with the baby all the time, but he would also take such pride in Ghost’s trust, in his knowledge that he can both care for and protect Ghost’s child, their child. And dear god, imagining Soap with a little green baby on his hip, doing the laundry and ensuring everything is in tip-top shape for when Buir gets home - I’m speechless. I’m salivating. And so is Ghost. And just like Sweet Girl, Johnny is a crack engineer, too. You know he would have the Crest in the best shape of its life. And he’s treat Ghost with the same care.

Now that I’m writing it out, the character parallels are coming easy, but I’ll admit I thought of this first 100% because of the smut. Because…oh my GOD. Rough day spoilers ahead but like…Johnny at the end of an alleyway, getting groped by Ghost, tits out and on display for anyone in canto bright to gaze upon. Johnny on the floor of the pitch-black ship, coming in and out of lucidity as ghost licks his hole, the scars on Ghost’s face pulling at the soft flesh of his thighs. Ghost, fucking Johnny into the forest floor like his life depends on it, praising him the whole way.

I just love that fic so much, and I love soapghost so much 😭😭😭

Also, please please PLEASE label your fem!readers! I get whiplash every time I find an unlabeled reader fic thinking it's gn but nope!!! I feel like by now gn!reader should be the standard :((
