If Thomas Wayne was a surgeon then that means that he wasn't running wayne enterprises while alive. So I present to you: Martha wayne took over the company.
Young Thomas Wayne meets Martha Kane at a gala and they become fast friends. Martha is smart and cunning, business savy, more than Thomas was. So he convinces her to go to business school (rather scandalous for the time- assuming it's the late 40's) while they are in school and Thomas is going through medical school the two fall in love and by the time Martha graduates they decided to get married and Martha Kane is now Martha Wayne. Shortly after Thomas graduates his father decides that he can no longer run WE and Thomas, being an only child is troubled. He didn't want to run the company and honestly hadn't thought of what to do when his father stepped down. Lucky he had a brilliant beautiful, and did he say brilliant wife who just so happend to go to business school.
: ) I regect model Martha wayne because that's boring, CEO Martha wayne who was simply a fashion icon and often on the cover of magazines is better (nothing wrong with model Martha but I want Martha to be more than Bruce's mom)

How did the Waynes' funeral go down? Could it be held privat? Did they have to hold two; a private one and a public one? Were there paparazzi anyway, wether private or not, to get a picture of Bruce? Were the extended Wayne and Kane families in attendance? Was there a scandal?...
Well, their graves are on private Wayne grounds, so I would assume it was private, with the extended Wayne and Kane Family there.
Alfred was probably standing at the Gates with his shotgun.
there was also Major beef between the Waynes and Kanes about inheritance, and a massive scuffle when they realized it was going all to Bruce and various Charities. And that Bruce's legal guardian was going to be Alfred.
I bet Alfred was shell shocked.

I love the idea that Martha and Thomas killed people during their reign of Gotham and when they died they expected their son to turn out like them. To be cold and jaded by the world but instead he sees the light. He feels the pain as well as the joy and by God as his witness he won't make others suffer as he had. At first they were shocked then a little disappointed. But after seeing rogue after rogue after rogue be rehabilitated every street criminal gets a job every former member of the mob fixes their mistakes all they can feel Is proud. Proud that their son became Better. Proud that their son rose above. And proud that he used their name for such good deeds.

Every part of a family has the “problem child”, the scapegoat, the child that is hard to love and hard to hate
For the Kane family, it’s Philip
Philip has also been seen as disappointment and a brat by his parents and especially by Jacob but not by Martha
For the Wayne family, it’s Thomas Jr.
TJ is loved by his family but also not fully understood or appreciated but still loved by them unconditionally
For Bruce’s kids, it’s Jason
Jason is ride or die when it comes to family but he also wants their approval more than anything
Every family has a kid that they love but also don’t fully understand

DC X DP Prompt *19*
Daniel Kane knew that he was different. The older he got, the more he remembers about a different life. A life with a different older sister - Jazz - and not in Gotham, but somewhere in the Midwest. But he didn't dwell on it to much. He loves his sister Martha and he couldn't be happier for her. She married Thomas Wayne and they both seemed to be so in love. Then Martha got pregnant and a few month later he held his little godson/nephew Bruce in is arms.
Daniel stayed close to the Waynes and was more often in their house then not. But he also started to remember more, things that seemed impossible. Like a blues skinned, floating boy/man/grandpa. Sometimes when he looked in the mirror, his features looked wrong for a split second. White hair, green eyes and far to young. But he pushes all of this away and tries to live a normal life.
Then his sister and Thomas die. So he does the only right thing and becomes little Bruce's Guardian. It's hard, even with Alfred's help. But he tries do be there for him, while grieving behind closed doors.
When Bruce comes to him, to tell him about his idea to protect the people of Gotham, he first wants to objects, but something tells him that this needs to happen.
So after a few years Bruce becomes Batman. And Daniel worries every night, but he somehow knows that his nephew is doing the right thing.
And as their family grows, he can´t help but be grateful, even though his memories become more and more distorted. It was like he had a life before this one. A life of a normal middle class kid, then a teen hero with outlandish powers. But he was never much older than Damien in his memories, even though he got a new one almost every night.
At some point he started to write everything down. He hid his notes from the rest of the family, until one day when he had a strange feeling. He left everything out in the open for the others to find.
Daniel Kane wasn’t seen again after this day.
.
.
.
The same day, a black haired teen stepped into a portal to another dimension, dying without dying.
.
.
.
Clockwork had a sad smile on his face. But this was what had to be done to right the timeline. Danny Phantom couldn’t exist without Daniel Fenton, so he needed to make sure that this time someone was around who could also protect his human side.
After his identity got revealed accidentally and his parents captured him, it didn’t take long till his human half couldn’t take it anymore. He was only able to rescue the full Ghost of Danny Phantom and it took so long for the young ghostling to heal.
He send his soul back to reincarnate in the past so that they could change everything and he was again able to become the Ancient of Balance. But the moment that Daniel Fenton formed as a Ghost the soul of Phantom had to be reabsorbed into him. And so Daniel Kane would no longer exist.
But Bruce Wayne would still see him as family and Danny would get the family he deserved, even if he didn’t know this anymore.

Gonna strangle (affectionately) @bruciemilf one day but that's okay
Anyway I'm just knees-deep into this one particular scene and it's her fault. Just set the scene with me, hold my hand–
Martha went into labor for what feels like days ago already. Her screams are rhythmic, booming through the halls of Wayne Manor– why did she insist on a house birth?
Why did he let her?
He's a fool and she always is going to get what she wants from him. Now the air suffocates, heavy with an oppressive tension
Agatha rode off to the sunset with bottle of cognac– Jacob is locked outside with a look that can put a man through concrete
The truth is that Thomas could care less about what is happening in the world
Martha can't breath. What she does is ragged, uneven, fast and can't be called breathing
Thomas listens it, her chest heaving loudly, the begging in russian– for the first time in years, he doesn't know what to do
Pain twists in his throat, growing and throbbing
There's so much blood. Crumpled white sheets unsalvageable with crimson, eyes with dark circles beneath
He doesn't know what to do. He doesn't know what do to do–
His feet heavy like lead, kneeled by Martha's side and praying like momma taught him to–
Gods. Martha is pale. Squirming. Panting, gasping, crying. Coated in sweat, blood and other much less dignified body fluids
All he can do is let her hold his hand numb, let the ears ring with her screams
Her voice wobbles, weakens, and pleads in russian, please, it hurts. Make it stop. Incessantly, and every time his chest squeezes more, pounding like he will throw up his own heart
"Shh, it's okay, dove," he whispers to her hair, pointedly not looking at the blood. "It's going to be okay."
He's not sure. Because he is a doctor and he knows what this hollow silence from Leslie means–
And, gods, how he can love a thing that is causing so much pain to Martha?
Thomas stammers. Everybody said the love is natural; it comes gradually.
Doctors spend an awful amount of time with death
Not the time to think about that
Only that the annoying voice at the back of his head hammers his forehead with a icepick
How comes his heart bubbles with acid, contracts painfully everytime Martha sobs? How come he can't not resent this baby–?
Until her hands leaves his and Martha moves from pure adrenaline onto sitting in her knees to take matters into her own hands, Thomas hands try to cling to her shoulders or stop her no wait don't that or do something but– Bloody thing and bloody hands and infinite red;
And a second cry tores the world with anger and furious tears.
Thomas Junior is born a healthy 9lbs, a glob of red bare flesh, covered in amniotic fluid, mad at the world for being born
Martha's holds her son with all the care and love in the world, hair plastered on her forehead. Smiles ruefully. "He's perfect."
TJ is born looking like a turnip
And Thomas feels a whole lot of nothing

I will say, it is so fun thinking about the Waynes and their relationship with food. But specifically Bruce.
We get such little light shed on the Waynes before the Big Terrible happened. Like. How were Wayne dinners like?
Were they terribly posh and quiet with small moments of fun thrown in? Was Alfred scolding Thomas for telling a star eyed Bruce unnecessarily gory details from a surgery?
Did Martha help Bruce break into the cookie jar? Was there a lovely, playful gossip about Bruce's loud classmates and his adorable crush on Gray Ghost?
Because I like that! But I'd also like it to be a complete juxtaposition.
I want Bruce to talk about his family, to his children, with a smile that could melt the sun. I want him to tell them about the noise.
How the Wayne manor was permanently flooded with a noise and boister that could rival a packed 5 star kitchen.
How Thomas always cooked with a dry cigarette in his mouth, arguing with uncle Jacob about forks of all things.
Why were they smudged, why were they placed randomly and not organised with militaristic precision, while Martha watched with the fondest annoyance.
How Thomas would cuss filthy in Italian only when Bruce was around and only Oz could understand him, long before he was the Penguin, long before Bruce was Batman.
"It's about culture. Not that you'd understand, Jakey."
And uncle Jacob never entertained his father for long. He'd throw a dirty look, his obsidian eyes sharp as a switchblade, and mutter a 'bitch' in Russian, while Alfred sat there judging them both.
The Waynes were chaos with heartbeats. And Bruce's favorite event at these diners? The food fights. It's always uncle Philip who started them.
"Wow, Jay eating steak. Never thought I'd see this day."
" It's venison."
" Vinison?" Thomas would finally take a break from his unlit cigarette, holding Bruce in his lap like a king would a prized cat.
A collective sigh rang among the table. They knew what was coming. " What are you, fuckin' crazy? That's fuckin' cannoli, dipshit."
"With vinison."
"Jacob."
" Tom."
"Martha."
" Honey."
" You come into my house, not knowing what a goddam cannoli is? Fuck are you gonna tell me next, you don't put garlic in your Carbonara? I mean."
" Garlic is disgusting."
And Thomas would cover Bruce's ears like that's the most offensive thing uncle Jacob could utter at Thomas Wayne's table. And Uncle Oz agreed. Their favorite pastime was ganging up on Martha's oldest brother.
And it starts off as something minuscule and petty and mutates in something loud and ugly and breathtaking.
Bruce would watch with an open mouth in Alfred's lap, as his father's neck popped with veins, and uncle Jacobs pale complexion would blush something angry as the skin of his throat thinned from yelling.
"FUCK YOU, FUCK YOU, YOUR PRESIDENT IS A VODKA DRINKING, BALDING, COMMIE PIECE OF SHIT."
"YOU'RE AMERICAN. "
" I CANT HELP THAT, I WAS BORN LIKE THAT!"
And it wasn't a true Saturday dinner unless Thomas didn't leap across the table, running over all the food to smash whatever dish into Jacobs face.
But truly, the best part, was watching them go from fight dogs to eating outside in time-out. As different as his father and uncle were, they could always find agreement on one topic:
Defying Martha Wayne was painfully stupid.
They'd share a cigarette and eat in silence, which was as friendly as they'd ever get. But he loved it. Bruce loved Saturday dinner.
And when the batkids start the fighting tradition on Saturdays, Bruce thinks they do, too.

Hey guys I have a dc question
Why the fuck didn't the Kanes just raise Bruce
Like Alfred could stay with Bruce obviously and work at the Kanes
But why didn't his aunt and uncle raise him
And they were literally already raising Kate
