a detail i really liked was how awkward, uncomfortable and unsure of himself bucky was in front of the cameras and reporters in congress, or at the gala in an 'official' capacity

and then as soon as he goes into his spy type role, digging for information, going off the books to investigate valentina, convincing mel to basically be his mole and everything that comes after -

he's confident, calm, cool, and collected again. the surety is back.

he knows what he's doing. he's in his element.
