#ramcoa resources

if ramcoa is a real thing and not a conspiracy theory then how come all the resources on ramcoa come from either christian conspiracy theorists or the isstd which has historically been proven to be incredibly questionable? /genq
This is a great question I’ve been wanting to answer for some time
TW: ANTI-SEMITISM AND RACISM TALK
So the main reason for logs of “resources” being riddled with both anti-semitism and racism is because
The satanic panic, and how Christian conservatives took advantage of RAMCOA’s existence by sensationalizing stories and making them fit their agenda
Anti-semitism and racism from organizations bleeding into victims ideologies
The first one is pretty well known amongst actually reasonable members of the community. Basically the satanic panic was Christian Conservatives finding out about survivors stories and changing them in order to fit their agenda. Because the “survivors” story-aka the edited story-still had some basis in truth, plus the power these Christian conservatives had, along with the general populace’s anti-semitism, people believed this and thought that was what RAMCOA is. This still has effects today not only in resources but also in people “debunking” RAMCOA because they think it’s anti-Semitic.
The other one is one I hardly see spoken about and that’s how orgs anti-semitism and racism can still effect survivors ideology even if they don’t realize it. Survivors are highly susceptible to others beliefs, especially those held by orgs they were abused by. They are also especially susceptible to lies. Because of this some survivors spew anti-Semitic and racist things, whether they realize it or not. While it is important to have compassion for these victims it’s also important to hold them accountable and call them out, especially if their platform is big.
Btw I’m not saying satanic RA groups or big organizations don’t exist, I’m saying that there is no world leading jewish-satanic group abusing every good Christian child or whatever.
But yes that’s my Ted talk hope you found this helpful

How to Read Resources
Resources are not black and white especially when it comes to something like RAMCOA which has a long history of conspiracy and people trying to silence survivors. Many resources will contain some information that is questionable but that doesn't always discredit the whole resource as there is usually some truth to whatever the author has written however it is important that we are aware of limitations within the resources we read and look at them critically in order to understand the information in a constructive way.
- How to consume information critically
First ask yourself who wrote this piece of information, do they have a history that could possibly give them a bias or otherwise discredit what they are saying? Also take into account what the resource is saying and basic science, obviously perpetrators are not shape shifting lizards, but also more subtle things like feeding into the mysticism around TBMC.
Whenever you read a new resource you should always question what you are reading which is especially important when reading about RAMCOA. You should look at where the author is getting the information they are spreading and keep in mind any limitations of resources as you absorb the new information.
- Signs of an unreliable resource
Mentions of conspiracy theories such as Monarch programming, the Illuminati, blaming a whole group of people for all cases of RAMCOA (typically seen with Jewish people and Satanists but it also includes political groups.)
The author's sources being "their own experience" when they should be consulting professionals, books, papers, etc in order to get their information. This is especially important when it comes to programming, educators should be either deprogrammed or actively deprogramming in order not to spread harmful misinformation and project their own trauma.
The author having a history of past lawsuits or otherwise being known for spreading harmful misinformation. While people can and do change it is best to be critical of information that comes from these people to be safe.
Carrds, Google Docs, Rentrys, etc are all unreliable as many contain information that is dangerous to survivors and aimed at professionals or otherwise people who have a strong support system and are well into recovery.
The resource is written like a how-to-abuse guide rather than spreading constructive and safe information to help survivors or therapists.
If something feels off, then trust your gut. You do not have to believe any information you come across online especially if you don't know if it is reliable. When in doubt it is better to avoid the resource until you have more information.

hey, do you have any resources on healing from programming? I’m desperate at this point.
sorry I know this isn’t for this. I just need help.
no need to apologise, it's alright.
@/granulesofsand here on tumblr has some really good stuff, but it can take a bit of scrolling to find.
we've also heard good things about the book 'Becoming Yourself' by Alison Miller.
Hope this is at least slightly useful.

side eyeing ramcoa carrds that have detailed info plus like umm. triggers and progs and etc. crying. why do that. ppl can use that to hurt/exploit/manipulate/control pwMC trauma. is this an irrational fear to have or? help
doesnt feel irrational, per se.
personally im very against ever listing how a program *can come to be*, i avoid ever doing this in public and i dont like sharing resources that even have a mention of how it can occur. i dont want to share guides on how to create or trigger programs, obviously anyone can look into that themselves but i dont want to make their lives easier.
listing triggers just wouldnt make sense because a trigger can be anything. why would you do that. its such non-information.
as for lists of programs, that ones reasonable to list to me. reading about types of programs when i was first in discovery was very helpful because it helped me reason, "oh wow, so it makes sense that i do xyz, this program causes that and i had no reasonable explanation before" and ive seen similar stories from other survivors. as long as resources arent listing HOW you instill those programs, i dont see much of an issue.

i saw whwre you said not to trust ramcoa carrds and i was wondering if the one called "explainingramcoa" and the resources on it look okay? i found it a while ago and havent been able to go tjrough it super well yet cuz im just learning abt it all
(Disclaimer: I am not a professional nor an expert, just some guy on Tumblr frustrated with misinformation trying to be helpful. Please do not take my word as fact and be critical of everything you read, especially about topics such as RAMCOA, where misinformation of the antisemitic variety specifically tends to run rampant.)
Rating: Decently Reliable (6/10)
Further explanation and analysis under the cut. Major trigger warning, this Carrd discusses instances of abuse in great detail that I will reference and pick apart.
I apologize for not getting back to you sooner, I had a very long and exhausting shift today, and I wanted to make sure that I did my due diligence in checking this source out. This Carrd does things a lot better than I've seen other Carrds do. For one, it lists out a sources page. It also provides examples instead of just saying nebulous things such as "governments" and "a secret network of [Jewish] organizations." That said, this is still a Carrd made by someone who is not an expert, which means that it is not fully reliable, and there are some claims that the author makes that make me raise my eyebrow.
Overall, here's how I would rank this Carrd in terms of common issues that I see among RAMCOA resources:
With 0 being "this issue is not present here" and 10 being "holy shit this Carrd's helpfulness is completely overshadowed by this."
Antisemitism And Related Rhetoric:
Satanic Panic Rhetoric: 4/10
Literally uses a source from nineteen fucking ninety-one to prove their point, which includes a lot of satanic panic bullshit. I'm sorry, but this is just not okay in any universe. Also, this gem of a misleading quote, which is either intentionally or unintentionally misrepresenting why the satanic panic was bullshit.
Known for its prevalence in the “Satanic panic” and sometimes even referred to as SRA (Satanic ritual abuse), ritual abuse is often seen as highly controversial. Victims are painted as unreliable or susceptible to their therapists’ suggestions, and their stories go unheard.
Like??? This person probably has no idea what the satanic panic even was. By omitting the crucial detail that it was an antisemitic and homophobic fearmongering tactic by the Christian conservative right, they're making it seem like any person trying to analyze the antisemitism of this crowd's rhetoric is inherently disrespectful to survivors. By trying to spread the narrative that it's disrespectful to survivors to be critical of fearmongering, it's harmful to way more people, including survivors.
"Shadow Government" Shit: 4/10
This Carrd contains a lot of references to the government or governments (though doesn't specify which government or where in the world) doing RAMCOA. While I do not doubt that some governments have indeed perpetrated this form of abuse, omitting the details of where this took place can be very harmful. Below is an example that the author of this Carrd provided of organized abuse.
A government, looking for ruthlessly loyal soldiers and assassins, allows children to be brought up as fighters against humanitarian law. The children are forced to do daily military drills, constantly exposed to violence from both sides, never allowed to show their emotions, etc. Some of these children are even given steroids and other drugs against their will with the hope of increasing their reflexes and strength.
I did a little google search about the use of child soldiers in modern times, and I specifically looked for instances of them being forced to use drugs. While it is true that this does happen, it happens very little, and it is mostly done by non-government military groups. Again, while this scenario does happen, putting it next to more common instances of child rape as if they're remotely the same in scale and frequency can be seen as misleading.
While the author doesn't make any false claims in this area per se, the way that they go about making their claims feels a bit iffy. I give this one a 4/10.
Jewish Stereotypes: 0/10
I didn't see any sort of stereotyping of Jewish people or anything like that, so this Carrd is pretty good on that end. Although, as a disclaimer, I'm not Jewish myself, so I do not have the final authority on this matter.
General Shit:
Medium Unreliability: 8/10
A score of 8/10 comes from the fact that it's a Carrd with no way to contact the author or even know who they are. They claim to be a survivor, but for all anyone knows, they could be lying about that. That does not mean that they are lying, and I understand that revealing that one is a survivor can put them at risk, but nonetheless it is difficult to trust a nameless, faceless person who claims to know about such a serious subject, and who has no professional qualifications or experience.
Bad Sources: 4/10
This Carrd uses a generally acceptable list of sources, but some are unreliable, and one is satanic panic bullshit.
Conclusion
Averaging out all of my ratings on various common problems, this Carrd gets a solid 6/10 (with 1 being the worst and 10 being the best) in terms of misinformation and harmful stereotypes. This makes it decently reliable with a few issues.

The problems with providing public resources for RAMCOA are that:
The topic is inherently triggering, and especially given that people with dissociative disorders are suggestible (and keeping in mind the fear that comes with dissociative amnesia about what Could be your past), it can and often does result in people becoming afraid they survived it because they were triggered by the topic.
Reliable resources on the topic are generally very graphic so it can cause secondary/vicarious trauma.
If someone does have RAMCOA history and sees your information, it can deeply trigger them. This is primarily a concern for people who do not know they have the history and could end up experiencing memory flooding or other strong reactions.
If you are too descriptive, abusers can and will utilize it themselves.
These are all issues that I've personally witnessed and have been described in academic texts like Forensic Aspects of DID and in personal accounts like memoirs.

So I have an issue that has come up recently. I'm an internal programmer, and the system kept trying to change everything that was set in place by Master and is my job to keep in line. However I learned recently that Master passed away nearly 8 years ago. I dont know what to do. I can't just not do my job, but what's the point? I no longer have a true role or purpose and I have no idea where to go from here. Idk if you have any advice or have been in a situation similar where you need to find something to do outside of the job you were programmed to, but I am so lost. Any advice/comfort would be appreciated.
It’s important in these times to use mental skills, as omega, gamma, and other programs can be triggered during this time. It’s also distressing to lose somebody you care about in general. Programming is very difficult, but luckily there is a basic outline for mental episodes that can be applied here, with some additions. Remember to:
Realize you’re triggered: Have signs you are triggered readily available in your mental library and recognize you’re not having a good time. This does not mean challenging the episode yet, this just means recognizing you’re not the same as before in one way or another right that moment
Distance: Physically distance yourself. This doesn’t always mean walking away! If your episode starts while sitting, stand up and vice versa. If you were doing something tactile when it started, stop and vice versa.
Distract: Occupy yourself with something unrelated to the trigger(s). It’s important that it’s unrelated, even if it’s venting, because even though venting is helpful outside of an episode it is not during. Distracting should also not lead up to a trigger e.g. slime if sticky texture triggers you
Communicate: Express yourself, put language to what yourself experiencing even if it’s just for yourself. What color is your emotion? Is there a scent you feel? It doesn’t have to make sense to others, you just have to understand it. This leads to…
Recognize and challenge distorted thoughts: Why do I want to do this? Is what I’m thinking true? If there’s not a way to know for sure, what are the realistic possibilities? What’s the worst that could happen if I’m wrong? Once you recognize your negative filter, counteract the thought with something more fitting to non-distorted thinking, e.g. “They’re lying to me -> they are most likely telling the truth because they have no reason to lie. If they were lying then it would not be so bad.”
Feel the wave crash: eventually, the episode will crash from its boiling peak like a wave crashes from its heights. Recognize what you’ve done and take accountability for any hurtful actions
Problem solve: why were you triggered and how to manage it. This could mean removing the trigger or if not currently possible could be putting together an action plan when the trigger occurs. This relates to step one, recognizing you’re triggered. Once you have an action plan in place you cannot only use these steps but also add helpful tools to your kit, such as steps to take accountability. Remember to have more than just plan A! You need a fruit salad of methods for coping.
If you have amnesia, set up communication of your problem solving: This is an addition to the basic outline and kind of goes with problem solving, but if you have amnesia barriers and you don’t make sure you can relearn these steps all your work in problem solving and challenging thoughts will be for nothing. Communication options include: sticky notes in common places like your bathroom mirror, by your toothbrush, or calendar, a journal you check everyday, writing with skin safe pen on your arm, etc. Really any place you’ll look.
Hope this helped

Becoming Yourself by Allison Miller
Book written by a therapist who worked with programming survivors with advice and information about programming and deprogramming.
Keep in mind that despite this book doing a lot of good it is not 100% reliable and quotes some problematic sources. Despite this I endorse this book because the information about deprogramming and programming as a whole is very good.

Found a Hate Blog in The #Plural Tag. 😮‍💨
As I covered recently, "Plural" is an inclusive word with origins in endogenic and non-disordered systems.
If any anti-endo posts in the "#plural" tag or other inclusive tags, don't expect your DNIs to be respected.
They also are doing this knowingly. People have already tried to contact them about using the inclusive plural tag and the hate blog has stubbornly refused.
Tumblr media
So if they're going to post in inclusive tags, I figured I might as well respond to some of their vent posts in anti-endo tags. As always, if anti-endos have a problem with this or feel boundaries are being unfairly crossed, please take it up with the hate blog I'm responding to that's invading our spaces.
Also, really weird how they just jump straight into saying "pro-endos" aren't systems either. Hate to break it to you, but there are a lot of traumagenic DID systems whose disorders and trauma are just valid as yours. And they manage to not be bigots too!
Tumblr media
Wait... are they claiming that ALL dissociation can only be caused by trauma?
Although previous research has implicated a history of childhood trauma in the development of dissociative tendencies, insufficient cognizance (in this context) has been taken of the distinction between pathological and nonpathological dissociation. In this study, the relationship between childhood trauma and both pathological and nonpathological dissociation was investigated in a sample of 100 Australian adults. Pathological dissociation was positively predicted by dimensions of childhood trauma, but no such relationship was found for nonpathological dissociation (psychological absorption). The data are consistent with the traumagenic model of the dissociative disorders, but factors other than childhood trauma may also be pertinent.
Amazing how they compare us with anti-vaxxers while trying to claim all dissociation is traumagenic. This wasn't even hard to find. 🙄
Tumblr media
"I don't care about any morals"
Well, at least you're up front about it.
Also, I tend to check the DID tags every now and then and you know what I don't see there? Endogenic systems!
"#Endo Safe" tags are more often than not used by pro-endo traumagenic systems.
Guess what! If you have DID, you get to post in the DID tags. Being a hateful bigot isn't a requirement! Anyone with DID has the right to post in the DID tags, and can tag their post as endo safe too!
Tumblr media
Maybe you wouldn't get as many anons from endogenic systems if you stop posting in inclusive tags. Just a thought!
Tumblr media
How are they harmful to the community again?
Weren't you just saying earlier that pro-endos were stealing resources? Now you're acknowledging that they're making resources for the community, but this is also bad?
Tumblr media
LOL!
Genic labels literally only exist because of the pro-endo community. And the anti-endo community notoriously hates xeno-origins like NPD-genic. Yes, people will assume you're endo-safe when you use xeno-origins because these terms, like most resources in the plural community, were made by pro-endos.
Tumblr media
Keep it up guys! It's working! We're spreading!
Sorry, I don't feel like rebutting anything here. I just appreciate seeing that our efforts are paying off!
The Future is Plural! 😁
Tumblr media
Stop!
This talking point has been completely debunked.
System hopping was used by pro-endos 15 years before the earliest association with RAMCOA. The idea that it was a RAMCOA term is a total lie invented by anti-endos!
Tumblr media
OSDD-1A and OSDD-1B are not actually official disorders. There is an OSDD. The first example, called OSDD-1 sometimes, gives two possible presentations. One with less distinct alters and amnesia, and another with no amnesia. But these aren't called OSDD-1a or OSDD-1b.
If your goal is education, this nuance is important.
Tumblr media
Could it be because ASPEC people have dealt with a ton of exclusionism from some queer communities, and are more accepting of other people as a result? And perhaps they also recognize similarities between system exclusionists and queer exclusionists?
Tumblr media
You're coming and posting in our tags!
That's why people keep interacting with you! "Plural" is a term coined by non-disordered systems, you've been told this, and you insist on posting in inclusive tags anyway!
You don't get to bust in someone's door, complain about them in their home, and then tell them not to interact with you! It doesn't work like that!
Tumblr media
Funny how these are the only sources they can provide. And they exclusively deal with DID without even touching on other forms of plurality.
Anyway...
The ICD-11 says you can experience "multiple distinct personality states" without a dissociative disorder.
Tumblr media
The creators of the theory of structural dissociation have said hypnosis and mediumship may involve self-conscious dissociative parts of the personality.
Tumblr media
And Transgender Mental Health, written by Eric Yarbrough and published by the American Psychiatric Association (who publishes the DSM) says you can be plural without trauma or a disorder.
Tumblr media
Sources repeatedly affirm that it's possible to be plural without trauma!
Anyone who claims it's impossible to be plural without trauma is either ignorant or lying.
And if you're going to keep spreading hate and misinformation, at least keep it out of inclusive tags!

Do you have any resources for RAMCOA? Resources for like...the types of programs and stuff like that. We're going through things and trying to research and pinpoint things, but finding resources has been absolute hell. If you get this twice, I'm sorry. Our tumblr is kind of shit.
Hello! I have several resources that I think may be helpful to you:
This document (LINK) of "rare programs" and their descriptions, posted by @killercatboys.
Chapters 4 and 7 of Becoming Yourself by Alison Miller (LINK) discuss programming and chapter 7 includes an anecdote with specific programs and definitions. The entire book is really a great read and is geared towards survivors of RAMCOA, just be sure to take it slow and take care of yourself.
Common Programs Observed in Survivors of Satanic Ritualistic Abuse by David W. Neswald (LINK) - massive trigger warning for suicide, self-harm, and abuse.
Spin Programming: A Newly Uncovered Technique of Systematic Mind Control by John D. Lovern (LINK) - includes symptoms, implementation, and uses of spin programs; trigger warning for abuse/torture methods.
Healing the Unimaginable by Alison Miller (LINK) is geared towards therapists and professionals and includes more in-depth information about RAMCOA than Becoming Yourself does. Again, massive trigger warning throughout the book for RAMCOA.
Kinds of Torture Endured in Ritual Abuse and Trauma-Based Mind Control by Ellen P. Lacter (LINK) - partial list of torture methods used in RAMCOA; trigger warning for abuse, near-death, and torture.
Mind Control: Simple to Complex by Ellen P. Lacter (LINK) - describes twelve "stages" of mind control and programming, going from outward compliance to torture/trauma-based mind control; trigger warning for descriptions of abuse.
Some Indicators of Trauma-Based Mind Control Programming by Ellen P. Lacter (LINK) provides common indicators of TBMC; most survivors of programming will have many of these indicators, but their presence does not prove the existence of TBMC and their absence does not prove that one has not experienced TBMC.
Adult and Adolescent Indicators of Ritual Trauma by Ellen P. Lacter (LINK) provides indicators of ritual abuse in teens and adults; as with the last bullet point, their presence does not prove ritual abuse and their absence does not disprove it.
Child Indicators of Ritual Abuse Trauma in Play and Art by Ellen P. Lacter (LINK) provides potential indicators of ritualized abuse in children and pre-teens; as with the previous two bullet points, their presence does not prove ritual abuse and their absence does not disprove it.

if you're "transramcoa" - especially transharmful (like transprogrammers) - you are a terrible person and you are romanticising the abuse that has ruined so many people's lives. I don't care what you think you should have gone through or whatever. you do not belong to this community. I hope you all get the help you need but you will NOT find it by appropriating survivor resources. stop crossposting into ramcoa tags and acting like you belong here. you disgust me.
