reset routine⋆.ೃ࿔*:・🎀
start ur morning off with a healthy breakfast that leaves u feeling satiated.
declutter your immediate space (fix ur bed, tidy up a little)

DECLUTTER UR IMMEDIATE SPACE CONTINUED ;
when you're surrounded by disorder and when ur space isnt clean and organized, ur mind won't be either. a clean space = a clean mind. sometimes when ur stressed, and u can't even pinpoint why your stressed, you'd never guess that the culprit would be a disorganized space. decluttering gives u space to be productive.
TAKING A SHOWER ;
taking showers are so so important when ur feeling off. its not only a physical transition, but also a mental transition. showers are literally like a reset button. so use products that you love and shower. i find that when doing a reset shower, when u use a scrub brush i feel REBORN.
GETTING READY ;
i feel like getting ready is like a shower, in the way that its like a reset button as well. when u make it a habit to get ready even though your not going anywhere, first off, its literally so much fun to doll yourself up. and second of all i feel like it makes me feel so good.
self care (focus more on doing a little extra, like showing urself a little extra love with a face or hair mask)
WORKING OUT ;
moving ur body and working out releases so many ENDORPHINS and is scientifically a mood booster. not only are you doing something good for your body, but it also is good for your mental health. it rly doesn't have to be complex as long as ur moving.
so in conclusion ; healthy breakfast -> declutter -> shower + get ready -> work out

digital clean-up checklist ⋆.˚🦋༘⋆
an all-inclusive guide for the chaotically digital girlies with a million screenshots and even more tabs open because "i will use this at some point"
1. quick clean (desktop)
start with a clean slate. drag everything on there into a folder called "sort later." we all know that you're going to spend hours looking through them and not actually cleaning, so starting off with a mostly blank desktop is the way to go. we can organize meticulously later.
delete those random duplicate files. you said you would get to them later. you didn't.
empty the recycle bin. i think that's self-explanatory.
2. a bit more thorough clean (finder/file explorer and browsing tabs)
screenshot purge. if you don't remember why you screenshotted it, delete it.
labeled folders are your friend. move important screenshots into labeled folders. move those downloads into labeled folders. put your cat photos in an imaginatively labeled folder: “cat."
close those random tabs. if you haven't looked at the opened tab in 2+ weeks, it's a good sign that you won't need it later either.
control-shift-D. if you're really that afraid to lose "potentially good stuff," just cntrl/cmd-shift-D. this creates a bookmark folder made of all your wonderful once-opened tabs. now, you can have peace of mind when closing the browser for good.
3. very thorough clean (notes app, downloads)
delete those untitled/randomly-made notes. a homework assignment you scanned a month ago? goodbye. grocery lists? gone.
delete those apps. if you haven't opened it in a while, it's probably just using up your phone/laptop storage.
clear the cookies (the website ones.)
go through the sort later folder. now's the best time, y'know?
restart your phone/laptop. since when was the last time you did that?
they say the spaces around you represent your state of mind, so how are our digital spaces any different?
I hope you can spend some time this week cleaning up your phone or laptop. I'm sure future you will thank you for it.
all best wishes, q's playlist

Weekly reset day🤍🤍
I was asked to make a day in a life post. But I tend to vary my routine depending on my mood and vibe. I do have one very specific routine that I do on either Saturday and Sunday every week.
Rest routine
I usually sleep in until around 7:30-8:00 (which that sounds wild but I’m a morning person and I usually wake up at 4:30-5:00)
I do the typical hygiene stuff then I go downstairs put on a kettle for tea and chug a bunch of water with my supplements and medicine.
I then drink my tea while a write my brain dump list of all the maintenance tasks I need to do.
I then throw my bedding in the wash because it takes a while.
After that I throw on a cute workout set and go on a walk with my dog while listening to my favorite songs. Depending on my energy level it ranges from a 30 min to and 1 hour long.
When I get home I put my hair in a hair mask while I make myself breakfast and a protein shake. I try to eat very high protein and I always eat some fruit with breakfast.
I then take my everything shower and do my whole skin care routine and blow out my hair.
After I finish getting ready I then do an hour speed clean of my apartment.
I then dedicate 2 hours to completing tasks I wrote down earlier. Usually these tasks are paying bills, studying, deep cleaning things that don’t get touched during the speed clean. Stuff that hasn’t got done but needs to.
Next I go to the store and buy my weekly groceries I also will buy myself lunch as a weekly treat. I don’t eat fast food often but I set aside money for a weekly coffee shop run and a weekly lunch the rest I make myself.
Usually after I eat I like to do my hour of down time. I’ll watch tv, play the sims, or read my fun book. I try not to go on my phone and watch short form content for that long of a time usually I only go on my phone for that kinda content when I’m waiting for my food to cook.
After I eat I make sure to prep my ingredients for all my meals for the week so I do not have to think about my meals.
The rest of day depends on the week. Sometimes I go to a yoga class or go for a swim at the gym. Or sometimes I go do something with my friends.
Once I come home I immediately make a kinda big dinner (I put the rest away for lunches).
After dinner I usually take a bath and read for the rest of the night. Then I go sleep in my fresh bed.
A lot of my routines vary a lot because I find it is difficult for me to be consistent when I am really strict with my time blocks (which is why I didn’t really put time stamps) but this is all I typically do on my reset routines.

10 step sunday reset routine
as someone who struggles with depression, cleaning my room and getting my life together is a struggle.
having a reset routine can help bring me out of a funk and lift my spirts a little.
i'll be completely honest i have a pretty bad depression room going, and my depression has taken over my life these past few months. so even though this is my sunday reset routine, i haven't done it in a while. but i've had enough. i'm determined to dig myself out of the hole i put myself in. and the first step for me is doing my sunday reset routine.
music, stretch, and workout
i am resetting my whole routine, and the first thing i prioritize is my physical health. when i'm in deep into my depressive cycle, i don't prioritize my physical health at all. in fact, i find that my physical & mental health overlap a ton. so in order to properly reset and get off on the right foot, i need to move my body in a positive way.
2. wash bedsheets
bed rotting is my favorite activity during my depression. so, it's a must to clean my sheets and make my depressive rat's nest into a cute bedspread again.
3. put away dirty and clean clothes
i always make piles of dirty and clean clothes when i start to get back into bad habits again. it always starts with cleaning my clothes but not folding/putting them away. this is usually a majority of what's on my floor in the first place, so this frees up a lot of space and immediately makes the room look 50% better. my favorite thing to motivate me to do this (& make it more fun) is putting on a mindless tv show in the background (i always watch greys anatomy).
4. clean & get rid of dirty dishes
i usually stack up some cups and bowls during this time. so now is a good time to start getting rid of these items and bring them down to the kitchen. i unfortunately dont have access to a dishwasher, so i need to handwash all of my dishes, but this would definitely go by faster with one!
5. wash dirty clothes
by this point my bedsheets have most likely finished in the wash and i've sorted through all the clothes on my floor, so now it's time to finally get the giant pile of dirty clothes tackled. as a uni student living in the dorms (don't worry, i have a private room), scent beads are my favorite go-to to feel comfy and more at home when i wear my clothes.
6. pick up and take out trash
my trash and recycling has definitely piled up at this point (in my room and in their respective cans). i'm also halfway through my routine and i most definitely need some fresh air for a minute. this step may be inconvenient (especially as a uni student who has to lug their trash cans to their uni dumpsters somewhere on campus) but its also a good way to get some vitamin d (and add to my daily steps!).
7. clean & tidy surfaces
i dont know how it happens but there is always some mystery gunk on my desk (usually from my makeup), so all my surfaces need a serious wipedown. i also find this the most satisfying part!
8. vacuum/sweep (my least favorite...)
i may not always do this step, mostly because i absolutely loathe vacuuming, but after this recent depressive episode, my floors need a good vacuum. so unfortunately, i must do what needs to be done...
9. make my bed and put away clean clothes
the finishing touches. i'm tired at this point, and this is where i usually call it quits and tell myself that i will fold and put away my clothes later. but i have to call myself on my bullshit0; i will not fold and put it away later. i have to do it now. a useful tip is imagining your crush (or just a hot celebrity) is coming over. now i want my room to be perfect for them!
10. light a candle and pat yourself on the back
this is a safe space and you deserve to be proud of yourself! even if you only did one thing in this routine... because that's one more thing than you did yesterday <3
xoxo

-@sm-baby
omg hiiii mushroom!! :D i'm gonna be honest, i've been staring at this trying to figure out how to respond for a while but i am far too flattered to think of a good response! consider me rendered speechless...
anyway, i just hope you know the feeling is mutual and i am also very happy when i see you around!!! i'm going to use this as an excuse to toss some carnival au art your way which you'd enjoy, i hope?? ^-^
yes this one's based off madagascar 3 which... please don't judge me too hard for that... that movie's iconic (to me at least 😭)
there's more to these but idk i wasn't feeling it so crops are all i'm giving out
this one i'll probably still finish but i like how caine looks so here's a sneak peek
that was all pomni and caine wasn't it uhhh. whoops... here's a couple jax i also like that guy
and this isn't the carnival au, but it IS showtime and i know you love them... technically a wip but it's gonna take sooo many rendered pages to finish that idk if i'll ever actually get it done so just take this bit
okay that's it, ty again for stopping by!!!
#realized i haven't posted art in a week... sorry guys... i had a really bad migraine i think it reset my brain a bit... broke routine#and if i break a routine i forget it exists and i didn't post art for a bit so i kinda forgot that was a thing i should be doing#the amazing digital circus#tadc#pomni#caine#jax#showtime#carnival au#ask response#my art#tw blood

The Ultimate Guide To a Monthly Reset ⋆.˚ ᡣ𐭩
Each month deserves a fresh start. This made me inspired to start a new monthly tradition where on the first Sunday of the month, I will do a deep clean a reset. With September just starting and kicking off my favorite string on months coming up, starting now was the perfect time. ✩ all the ways i reset ✩
even the small actions matter...

✧ movement: move around your stuck energy! do a yoga video, dance around, walk through the forest or your neighborhood.
✧ change your environment: go to a different room in your house, go outside, change the lighting in your room.
✧ change your clothes: something you feel comfortable in! it changes your whole vibe and brings a new energy to your day.
✧ check in physically: have you eaten? have you drank water? are you feeling anything physically that needs to be addressed?
✧ do something on your to-do list: task completion releases happy hormones in your brain. get ahead on laundry or schoolwork. make any phone calls or emails you've been putting off.
✧ do something momentous: get out of your comfort zone and do something you've always wanted to do!

monthly reset
hi everyone! since it’s the end of the month, i thought i’d tell you what i do at the end of every month, to prepare for the new month :)
brain dump tasks for the month ahead
this includes any events I have, such as a party, someone's birthday, important deadlines or exam dates, as well as the revision I want to get done in the month.
organise my calendar
i use multiple calendars to keep myself organised. first, i use ical and a physical calendar for birthdays and parties/events. then I use google calendar to time block my week out, adding in when I'm at school, my morning routine, study sessions, workout sessions and my free time. to organise my revision, I have a separate monthly study planner from emmastudies.com that I fill out. i have this above my desk on my corkboard, which helps me to know what revision I have to do on any given day.
set goals
to do this i look at my yearly goals (which i have on my yearly notion page), and then i decide how my yearly goal can be broken down into an achievable yet challenging monthly goal. for example, one of my yearly goals this year is to learn german, so one of my recurring monthly goals is to do german on duolingo daily. as I'm doing my a levels this year, my german study isn't too intensive, but once I've sat my exams in the summer I'll increase how much I study german.
tidy my environment
to bring in the new month it's super important to have a clean and tidy environment. for me, this means clearing any clutter off my desk, vacuuming my bedroom, cleaning my windows, windowsill, mirror and makeup brushes. i also like to tidy my clothes shelves and make sure everything is folded nicely, as well as my underwear and socks in my drawers. don't forget to change your bedsheets as well!
self-care
my favourite thing to do is have an everything shower and do my skincare routine, so I can get into my nice fresh bed all clean :) I also love to go to bed a little bit earlier than I usually do, and read for a little while before going to sleep.
