Is anyone getting weirdly explicit bot posts marked with #danny phantom in their feed? I know bots will put any tag under the sun in their posts, but it’s usually generic stuff and not fandom related??
Idk, I’m just wondering why there’s a jump in these posts all of a sudden.

DP X DC: Dani Does Things and Leaves, Explains Nothing
Heavily inspired by this dp x dc prompt and the comments and reblogs under it:
Please go check it out and @stealingyourbones entire page. They have some great dp x dc content and meta.
Local Ghost Princess Decides to Help Out Fellow Clone, Leaves Chaos Behind, Heroes Left Concerned and Very Confused, More at 10.
Now Dani knew that this world had superheroes. She knew they had an organization of sorts that had a hate-hate relationship with various government entities and a love-hate relationship with the public, depending on who you asked. However she had no intention of being involved with them. She was on vacation after all. Besides this world was just a stopover anyway. Why bother when she wasn't here on official business? But it seemed that while she didn't want anything to do with the heroes, they, however inadvertently, wanted something to do with her. How else will you explain one of the worst cloning results she had ever seen crash into a tree right in front of her while she was enjoying a nice cup of litchi boba tea in the park?
The botched clone job slid down the branches and hit the ground with a thud. She raised an eyebrow at the the rampant malevolent magical lines running through the body exacerbating the overall instability of the clone's anatomy. Clearly this individual had run into an irate mage who cast some sort of destabilizing curse and shot them right out of the sky. Dani was thankful this was an isolated section of the park and that she had put a rudimentary avoidance ward over the area. Otherwise, a superhero crashing into a tree would've caused quite the ruckus and interrupted her boba time.
She took a sip of her boba and crouched down to examine the conked out hero. This one was the one they called Superboy wasn't he? She grimaced at the state of his engineering. Whoever did his cloning did not know what they were dealing with. Her own cloning went better and she was ectoplasmic goop half the time. And Vlad was dealing with halfa DNA! Probably the most complicated genetic material in existence. Superboy over here was constructed from actual tangible genetic sources and yet...ugh.
Honestly speaking beings of this plane probably wouldn't have noticed anything wrong. A level down in power scale compared to the individual who acted as genetic donor, most likely that Superman guy, and random instances of destabilization would most likely be the extend of their knowledge regarding their faulty cloning. And when those instances of instability gradually ironed themselves out they probably patted themselves on the back and thought all was well. She should cut them some slack.
Dani hummed as she chewed on her boba pearls. Unfortunately she wasn't known to be the most merciful when it came to ensuring the well-being of clones.
Suckers probably didn't pick up the fact they unleashed a possible catastrophe upon their world. Superboy was obviously fashioned from Kryptonian DNA. A species known for becoming near godlike upon absorbing solar energy from a yellow sun. That means that their bodies have mechanisms at play beyond simple biology. Specifically energy pathways and an energy processing core. Superboy wasn't a level down in power from Superman because of some biological imperfection, he was weaker because of flawed energy absorption and storage. And that meant that his energy core was unbalanced, and once it reached a particular threshold...well its gonna be a spectacular light show this side of the galaxy that's for sure. Of course it was just a possibility. There was no guarantee he would reach that threshold in his lifetime. Unless he ran into a white mage who was vicious enough to cast a juiced up imbalance curse that is. And what do you know! Turns out you can organically be that unlucky!
She put down her cup and ran a simple diagnostics. Sure enough the magic had intensified the issue. This man needed help, the kind of help that wasn't usually available in this part of the omniverse. But she just so happened to pass by and just so happened to have expertise in this field so today was somehow simultaneously Superboy's lucky and unlucky day. He really was going through it.
As to why she would interfere that's easy. She was the Guardian of Cloned Beings after all. She can't have a fellow clone suffer could she? And plus, what were the chances that he would end up like this right in front of one of the only beings that would know how to fix the issue? Dani grinned in glee. Truly the laws of causality worked in intriguing ways.
She stood up and let her talons manifest, plucking the strings of SuperboyConnerKon-el's make and striking them one by one in the tune of an old Krytonian melody. Shame what happened to them really, but all things had their fate. It truly was great to see some of them survive and make a home elsewhere. Dani wished them the best.
As she worked, untangling knots, and straightening out blockages, the hero finally began to stir. His eyes opened and they were understandably unfocused. Disoriented and confused, he looked kinda like a bamboozled Cujo and Dani felt her lips twitch up in a toothy smile. For some reason that seemed to startle him. She mentally frowned. Did he expect her not to smile at him? That would've been rude of her. Dani might be a gremlin but she was never impolite.
"I'm just about done with the curse", she told him. "Leaching out the corrosive magic was easy but I need to repair your energy coils and that's tricky. Don't worry though. Everything's on the house. Always did have a soft spot for the House of El ever since my aunt married into it for a short while."
Dani pulled a particularly stubborn power node open. "I would like your permission before doing that through. Body autonomy, informed decisions and and all! So yes or no? You'd detonate like a bomb if I didn't though."
The young hero's eyes widened. He still didn't seem to know what was going on so she hit him with a short term clarity spell. And a small information spell to cover her bases. That got him to gather his wits enough and she watched as he processed the influx of information. His complexion was ashen when he got through the bundle and he finally managed a shaky nod. Good enough.
Dani smiled at the Kryptonian. "Great! Now this would take like twenty minutes give or take five. You can sleep now." She promptly knocked him out cold and cancelled the spells so as to not overload his brain.
And just as she predicted, twenty minutes later, she plucked the last string with a flick of her wrist and surveyed her handiwork. Exemplary if she said so herself. One of her best work! Cheerfully she shot an awakening spell at Kon-el and crouched down again, patting his head.
"You might need to be careful for a few days while your body adjusts to its new energy capacity and conductivity. Your overall system has been optimized as well so be careful", she told the groggy young man.
She paused. "And don't worry. I didn't access your mind. This was all strictly physical repair aimed at preventing you from exploding like a supernova and taking the planet with you."
And once again that part made his eyes widen. Good. He truly understood the urgency. Or that could just be him being loopy after solar energy overload. It was a bright, sunny day after all.
She stood up, creating a portal to the next world on her itinerary. She looked back at the most likely high as a kite Kryptonian. "You kinda owe me for all that extra work hero! I might just come to collect one of these days!", she joked as the portal swallowed her body and she was lost to the spaces between spaces.
She'd already told him it was all on the house so Dani didn't think that anyone would take that last part seriously. However she forgot the fact that one Conner Kent was in her own words 'high as a kite' and hence might miss some crucial details.
She also forgot to leave behind an explanation packet.
And thus she was utterly unaware of the chaos she left in her wake, happily traveling through the multiverse.
..............................................................................................................................
"So you're telling me that not only did someone find me when I was out cold and get rid of the spell, but they also rearranged my guts and gave me an upgrade?"
"...Yeah."
"What the fuck?"
..............................................................................................................................
"Conner, do you remember anything? Anything at all? Whatever they did required some serious magical power. We don't know why they did it or how. For all we know they could've done something dangerous that we can't detect yet."
"Litchi boba tea".
"Kon what the hell?"
..............................................................................................................................
"...Its in bits and pieces...but I'm pretty sure there was a woman?...white hair, green eyes...something something on the house...something about an aunt and the House of El?...and there was this strange white symbol on her chest and this really soft music was playing that went something like this...(confused humming noises)...and something about me owing her?"
"Kara? Why are you looking at me like that? What's wrong?"
..............................................................................................................................
"Let me get this straight, Superboy was healed by the Kryptonian primordial goddess of portals, messengers, travelers and other such domains, and not only did she save him but also gave him a tune up? And explicitly said that he owes her now? And this powerful divine being, who is also supposed to be the daughter of Krypton's Death God according to legends mind you, is most likely still on earth with motives unknown? Plus your entire House is descended from her family?"
"...Yeah that about sums it up."
"..."
..............................................................................................................................
"Oh man why did this happen just when I was going to go on vacation? Why couldn't the Death God or whatever reschedule?"
"Death gods notoriously don't reschedule, they're death gods. Also she's the daughter of a death god, not one herself. Most death gods are also famously fair. If not fair by our standards, fair by theirs".
"...That's good to know?"
"I confess I don't know about the fairness of children of death gods however".
"...great. Thanks anyway J'onn".
"You're welcome".
..............................................................................................................................
"You okay there man? Someone just rifled through your body and did who knows what...that's gotta be terrifying. You want to talk? We're all here for you, you know that right?"
" Thanks guys. And yeah it was freaky. But apparently I would've exploded and blown up the planet with me if she didn't do that so I guess I'm more grateful than scared."
"...Explode and blown up the what now?"
..............................................................................................................................
"Is there anything more we should know about Clark?"
"Legends say she has a brother and he's associated with great calamities?"
"...."
"Bruce? You alright?"
..............................................................................................................................
DPXDC refuses to be done with me. Leave me be accursed crossover! Leave me be!
(Btw Kon didn't make the connection because he was really out of it, and not because Clark and Kara didn't introduce him to Kryptonian culture.)
Thoughts and suggestions are welcome!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
First post ever. Oh, my. I’m such a noob at this. So bare with me, please!
DP content loading…
Halloween was supposed to be Danny’s night off—a chance to enjoy the frights and fun without worrying about ghosts or ghost hunters. He, Sam, and Tucker were strolling through the rainy streets, drenched but laughing, making their way to a Halloween party. Danny had even gone for a classic look, throwing an old bed sheet over himself. Underneath, he was still Phantom, his ghostly glow hidden, figuring no one would notice on Halloween. Right?
As they got closer to the party, droplets dripping down his soaked sheet, Danny couldn’t help but feel a bit smug. Maybe I’ll get through tonight without a single ghost hunt, he thought, smiling to himself.
But just as he let his guard down, he caught sight of two familiar figures in the distance—his parents, Jack and Maddie, sprinting toward him with their ghost-hunting gear gleaming through the mist. Their ecto-scanners must have picked up his signature. Heart pounding, he backpedaled, slipping and stumbling until he found himself cornered in a nearby alley, the rain pouring down harder, plastering his sheet to his body.
“Uh… can’t I just, like, take a night off?” Danny stammered, pulling the sheet tighter around him, hoping they wouldn’t recognize the glow. “By the way, nice costumes!”
“Costumes?” Maddie smirked, aiming her ecto-blaster, raindrops streaking down her goggles. “Nice try, Phantom, but we’re not here to trick-or-treat.”
Danny shot a desperate look at Sam and Tucker, silently begging for an escape plan. Spoiler alert: they didn’t have one. His parents were closing him inn he hit the back wall of the alley, rain dripping down his face, and in his panic, the sheet slipped from his shoulders, leaving him exposed as Phantom. Great. Just great.
“Well, well, look who’s cornered,” Jack grinned, his blaster humming as he powered it up. “We’ve been saving this tech just for you, Phantom!”
Danny forced a nervous smile, raising his hands in surrender. “Uh, I was just here for the candy, really…”
His dad fired before he could finish, and Danny found himself tangled in an ecto-net, rain-soaked and sputtering as his powers faded. “A net? Really? You can’t do better than that?” he muttered before realizing sarcasm probably wasn’t helping.
“Oh, we’ve got more than that,” Maddie replied, tightening the net with a gleam in her eye. “Tonight, we’re making sure you’re not going anywhere.”
Danny cast a helpless look at Sam and Tucker, rain dripping from his hair. “Uh… a little help?”
Sam shrugged, giving him a teasing smile. “You did say you wanted an exciting Halloween.”
Danny sighed, muttering under his breath, “Should’ve just gone as a ninja…”

I wanted to draw something for Halloween. And DP is the perfect match for it, for me though. First I didn’t want to draw Dannyyy angry… But all of a sudden his brows were furrowed. So I had to came up with a little story behind the art lol.
Poor Danny is being captured again.
Art made in ProCreate.
DP copyright/rights, belongs to Nickelodeon 🥶
Still pissed they ended the show 17 years ago, but hey. Who am I? Lol.

I also have an account on FanFiction.net under the same name. So if you want to read something when you’re bored… (posted there my first story—not finished yet)
Also, almost everything is gunna be DP related.

I don’t know how Tumblr works, even when I had it like… years now—I never used it. But I needed new Social Platforms for specific reasons.
And also, I was a bit anxious about posting my stuff online, but here we are—I finally shared it.

DpxDc, A hypocrite's concern
A little thing I wrote about Jason and Danny interacting after Jason gets captured by the GIW:)
(Starts under cut because I accidentally made it long)
Jason didn't know what to think.
He had been walking to the bus stop to get groceries in his civilian clothes, when a white van with an obnoxious logo on the side drove by and snatched him off the sidewalk. They didn't even grab him. They just full on drove by with a giant net outstretched like some weird type of fishing to catch him.
They didn't knock him out, they hadn't seemed to find a need to, but they did call him several terms he never even knew existed. None came close enough to the net—which was made of a weird material that couldn't be cut with his smartly hidden knife—to be kicked, so he had resorted to calling them several lovely names that you could only learn by growing up in Crime Alley.
When the van full of Men in Black ripoffs finally stopped, he was loaded into a... cage? Like, it looked a bit like a cage, but it also seemed as if it was made of rubber or plastic, and its shape was also odd, like it was specifically designed for something that would escape a regular cage easily and this was their attempt to stop it. It had bars, sure, but they were at weird angles and constantly layered over each other.
The 'cage' was placed on a cart and wheeled inside a generic office building, but they didn't enter through the entryway, no, what kind of madman uses a door? They entered through the wall. The agents walked directly through the wall, wheeling him in after them, with no difficulty other than pressing a small button next to a random brick. The secret entrance led to an early 2000s sci-fi movie elevator, that had wires filled with a disturbingly familiar green, and a not-so familiar blue.
One of the agents leaned into the comm thing attached to one of the wires and murmured something that made the elevator start working.
The elevator reached what was probably the bottom of the Secret Evil Lair™, and opened with a hiss. The doors revealed a well lit hallway with white walls, floors, ceilings, and heavily reinforced doors. So, these madmen did use doors. It was modern, but in a way that would remind you of a rich person with no interior decorating abilities.
The disproportionately large number of bald men pushed the cage-cart down the hall. The second thing he noticed after the atrocious decoration was the eerie quiet. There wasn't any noise that you would expect from an evil lab, even when the agents walked it was difficult to hear their steps, while when they were outside every step they made would be heard, inside, it was as if they were in their element.
The cart stopped in front of a door with far more protection than the rest, it was dark gray with the blue accents, rather than the white and green of the others. One of the agents leading him turned to a keypad-looking thing and began typing. The door had two signs on it, seemingly to catalog what was held within, but only one had any writing on it, as if the information of the room's contents was incomplete.
"-Phantom-
-DP-001-
-Danger Class: 7-
-Ectoplasmic Strength: Level 4 (For lower level agents, the maximum is Level 5)-
-Power Set: On the DP-001 file-
-Experiment Notes: While testing, ignore any and all pleas for mercy, it is a manipulation tactic it utilizes often. Do NOT remove the muzzle, doing so will result in termination. Causing permanent damage to subject without instruction from an agent classed over Class 7 will result in termination.-"
Jason was able to read the entire thing while the agent was still typing in the code to open the door. When the agent finally finished entering the code, the door opened with the same hiss as the elevator, and revealed a decontamination chamber.
They threw him into the chamber, and quickly closed the doors behind him. The cage melted away, as if it were made of wax, leaving him standing free in the chamber.
The chamber began to fill with a blue gas that fell from the ceiling vents. Jason instinctively held his breath while reaching for his gas mask, only to realize he didn't have his gas mask. Which was not right, he knew he had his gas mask. No Gothamite leaves home without a gas mask. No smart one, at least.
The agents had somehow managed to remove all of his belongings without him noticing. His clothes were also different, instead of the outfit he had left the house in, he was wearing a white shirt, and white pants.
How the hell did they do this? Was the most coherent thought he could have, but it was short lived as the doors in front of him opened with the exact same annoying hiss as the last few.
Based on the sign, he was expecting some kind of cryptid, like a demon, or something. But rather, he was greeted by a short teenager with black hair and blue eyes. The boy wore the same white clothes as Jason, but he also wore a mask that covered half his face, but there was also a blue tinted glass that allowed him to see his mouth. He was working on something behind him.
The boy stared for a moment, before smiling and waving animatedly, like he hadn't seen anyone other than the agents in a long while.
"Hi! I'm Danny!" He said, even if it was slightly muffled, sounding something between being under a blanket and speaking through a fan, "Or Phantom. Or DP-001 or just 001, they flip flop between the last three usually, you?"
"...I'm Jason," He couldn't see why he shouldn't tell this kid his name, it didn't matter, the kid wouldn't recognize it, "Uh, how old are you?"
Danny paused before tilting his head and asking, "Hm, What's the date? I dunno how long I've been here."
"April 13th." He replied, not liking the implications of not knowing your own age.
"Oh! I turned 15 last week! What about you?"
That was way too young to be... where ever this is, this kid is a literal child.
"I'm 23." Again, seeing no reason to lie.
"Wow. You're old." Danny said with the typical teenage snark you'd expect from a fifteen year old, "Sorry, my friend used to say that whenever her parents made her socialize at rich people parties."
He filed away that information for later, even if "Rich people parties" is pretty vague.
"So, where are you from?" Jason asked, Small talk and gather info, he can do that.
He froze for a split second, before speaking, "Amity Park," The kid said, smiling, but in a sad, wistful way, "It's in Illinois."
So this kid was most definitely kidnapped, there are no doubts about that.
"I'd ask where you're from, but I kinda already know" Danny stated, "I saw you in the Gotham file back when I still tried to escape."
Still? They had a file on Gotham? Why? Why was he on the file?
"Oh, why do they have me in the file?" Subtle.
"Either you died and came back funky," He started, holding his fingers out to count on his hand, which was, just perfect, that this random shady group knows about that, "Or you have come in to contact with ectoplasm, the green stuff, or both! That happened to me."
There was a lot to unpack there, but begin simple.
" 'Came back funky' ?" That was a good place to start.
"Oh yeah, like, came back with powers, or with your body being in a better condition than while you were dead, or coming back after too long a time for it to be technically possible."
That answered nothing and everything.
"Actually, I don't even think they care if you came back at all," Danny said after he seemed to think about it for a moment, "Ancients know they only care about technicalities when it benefits them."
Every time the kid answers a question, ten more fill its place because of the answer.
It was a little hard to focus on his answers, though, because of how uncomfortable the weird new clothes were.
Wait.
"How did they get these clothes on me?" He didn't really want the answer, but he also didn't want to not have the answer. "I didn't even notice it."
"Oh! Did they bring you here in a cage?" Danny asked.
"Yeah, if you could even call it that."
"Well," He said, making a big show with his hands to enunciate his sentence, which made Jason notice the electrical scarring that lined his left hand, "I'm pretty sure the Guys In White made the cages out of some material that, when it melts, coats your clothes in some kind of ectoplasm, and then the gas basically breaks down the affected clothing, and replaces it. I'm still not sure how, though."
That, again, answered nothing and everything, but mostly nothing this time.

quick question why is it called Dead on Main? Like, i love it, but i am also wishing to know the origins of it all
So, I don’t know who actually coined it, but here’s what I know of the elements making it up:
“On main” is a term from social media, referring to doing something openly on your main account instead of anonymously on an alt account.
It’s often used specifically in the context of NSFW content with the phrase “horny on main”, but I’m not sure if it actually originated with that.
Regardless of the exact origin, the term has expanded to generally mean doing anything particularly brazenly.
And “dead”, well, I think that part is pretty obvious.
The whole premise of Danny Phantom is that Danny is half-dead, and while comic book characters dying and coming back is pretty common, Jason’s death in the “Batman: Death In The Family” line is particularly well known and impactful in that they left him dead for a while (there were over 15 real-world years between the Death In The Family and Under The Red Hood comics).
Thus, it’s a ship between two characters well known for their deaths. “Dead on Main”
Also i don’t have any evidence for this but i suspect a number of ship names were coined at roughly the same time so they’d all be sorta puns starting with “dead” (“dead serious”, “dead tired”, “dead silent”, etc) and thus this name was chosen in part to match with those

@profandomhopper i was going to reblog the original post this comment was left on but i felt it divorced itself from the original topic so much, you get your own post for giving me delightful permission to ramble about this. buckle in people this is long.
so, DC is a big fandom that expanses a lot of different types of content, and like anything, is subject to crossovers. the obvious ones like Marvel are for the reason of being a similar and equally popular superhero world, so it's easy to transpose the worlds onto each other and overlap the characters. both of these worlds deal with multiverses and endless, endless heroes. it makes sense and there's no real stretch to think Batman and Spider-Man could co-exist. i mean, there have been canon crossover comics. and even some more random crossovers like White Collar have pretty easy to trace origins, being an actor in WC was a popular Dick fancast back in the day so there was some bleeding over that led to a well-loved niche crossover space.
but Danny Phantom and Miraculous Ladybug are where it gets interesting. because at a surface, MLB sort of makes sense. it's a superhero world, you're following a teen girl superhero and sure the mechanics are pretty contained, but the crossover should make sense. but when you compare it to the crossover numbers of other superhero media like say My Hero Academia, Ladybug takes the *crown* with such a bizarre popularity. and of course, DP feels like it makes even less sense. sure, you *could* lump it into at the very least, superhero-adjacent media, but it's not a true hero world like MLB or DC is.
but, the thing to always understand about DC, *especially* the Batfamily (which is where the crossover content propagates the most) is this: a *very* good chunk of fans don't interact with the comics. i would venture to say even most Batfamily fans don't read the comics and actively talk about it. we've all read a very fandom big Batfam fanfic where the author's note mentions the writer has never touched a comic in their life. typically, these fans are either cobbling together their understanding from fandom content, or by frankensteining unrelated DC adaptations to understand each character. you take Bruce from Batman: TAS, you take Dick from the animated Young Justice, you take Jason from Batman: Under The Red Hood animated movie, you take Damian from the DCAMU Batman vs Robin, and you read some fandom metas to fill in the rest and well, you've got some sort of an understanding of these characters. read enough incorrect quotes, some genfic, a couple of character metas, and boom, you understand the Batfamily fandom enough to start creating your own content. and of course now. now you have Wayne Family Adventures so it's even *easier*. a pretty easy to pick up webtoon that's filling in all the gaps for you. but i've been in this fandom long enough to remember before we had WFA and even then, this was still a common, if not the most popular way, to ween yourself into the DC fandom space. you cherry-picked the canon you liked and then plunged into the depths of fanon.
i'm not here to make in depth commentary on if i think this is a good or bad thing. trust me i have that commentary in my head, but that would need it's own post. i'm very split on it and my feelings are complicated. my feelings on WFA are even *more* complicated. because oftentimes, the attitude expressed by these fans who are frankensteining this version of the Batfamily/DC world they have in their head is they don't *want* to read the comics. the comics don't contain the content they're after. and to an extent, i understand that. if you're looking for light-hearted vibes of the Batfamily all getting along and having the occasional hurt/comfort moments but in the end, they hug and make up, you're right. largely, you won't find that in canon. of course there are so many comics to recommend for Batfamily interactions, but you have to get specific. you'll find them interacting in small groups, Tim and Dick bonding here, Duke and Cass bonding there, but largely, the comics don't care to balance the ridiculously large cast they've given themselves. but fandom does. it's easy to toss them all in a blender and ignore the parts you don't like. the default argument to ignoring the comics or writing something OOC is always "well the comics are OOC and inconsistent too" which, while a flawed argument that massively misunderstand how comics work as a medium, isn't an entirely incorrect one. you could serve on a silver platter to these fans, an easy and accessible way to get into comics and they wouldn't be interested. it's not what they're here for. fandom is always character-driven above all else. it's driven by character relationships and dynamics. if someone wants to consume content where Tim idolized and stalked Jason as 'his Robin' and now is trying to help him rehabilitate and they're super complicated but have this long epic forgiveness arc, why *would* they read the comics? because they're sure as shit not going to find that dynamic in the comics. it's laughably OOC and not canon at all, but that doesn't matter. what matters is the sandbox. most Batfamily fans care *far* more about the sandbox canon gives them than the actual canon itself. feel how you feel about that, this really isn't being negative toward that attitude, but it is a common attitude.
so, you have Batfamily fans playing in the sandbox and building their own narrative. common fandom headcanons are so common, you could practically write a guide on how the fanon Batfamily works with how consistent people are about it. or you could just read WFA, which is practically the new manifesto of it. even now, with this sudden spike in people talking about canon accuracy and "actually this happening in the comics", they don't actually care about the comics, just what they can cherry-pick for fodder. (even if they rob it of so much context they're just as OOC as they were before. see specifically: the recent phenomena with Tim Drake going from the woobified weakest member of the Batfam who everyone needs to save constantly and he's the smart boy but he's also the one with a sad tragic neglectful past who gets overlooked being the way Batfamily fandom played with Tim for years. but recently, people seem to be pushing this idea of a ridiculously badass Tim, Tim who *totally* has a kill count because of his actions in RR (2009) if you take them completely out of context, Tim who bested Ra's and is even more badass than Jason and he's the 17 yr old CEO of Wayne Industries being cool and flawless it becoming the new fandom zeitgeist. neither of these versions of Tim are canon, and the second fundamentally misunderstands his arc in RR (2009) but the shift has undeniably happened and it's been fascinating to watch. the same thing happened with people suddenly deciding Jason isn't the "angry violent Robin", he was a sunshine sweet boy who was perfect as Robin. neither of these are true, but the second feels more transgressive and new to fandom from cherry-picked panels.) the point is largely, Batfamily fans would rather build their own canon than play with the actual canon.
and then, you have Danny Phantom. i'm not into DP and have no interest to get into it, but what i know about it via fandom osmosis is this: DP fans sort of also don't give a fuck about canon. once again, the canon of DP is a sandbox, not a rulebook. the concepts and the characters are the draw, not the plot itself. i've seen DP posts explaining characters who are essentially OCs, but have become so dominant in the fandom via fandom osmosis. there are concepts and ideas about how Danny's powers work and potential concepts with his ghost nature that either aren't in canon or only happened once in canon and fans decided to expand on that and doesn't care about it's own in-universe logic. i've seen a lot of DP fans also express they haven't seen the show and they don't have plans to see the show. because the show is just some children's cartoon with some inconsistencies and a simple plot, as you'd expect from CN. the show isn't the point. no one cares about it's plot, they care about it's characters. they care about pushing the concept of half ghost boy to a logical extreme and seeing what you can get out of that. can you make it weird and fucked up. how much can you highlight on his trauma and body horror. what identity crisis can you give him and how can you build his interactions with other characters in his world around that and also make those characters fun and unique on their own. sure, the skeleton of canon is there, but the meat lies all in the fanon.
Miraculous Ladybug also exists in this similar vein. the characters, the concepts, those hold intrigue. and not even mentioning the fact the original concept for this show was supposed to be aimed to an older audience, so you can see the bones of something a bit more mature and nuanced under this typical, villain of the week magical girl transformation show. the show itself is a bit shallow and that's not a *bad* thing, it's just the medium it exists within being aimed towards children. but the concepts of a teen girl who's basically a sort of chosen one, a boy who doesn't know his father is the big bad of the show, and their weird identity porn love... square thing. those dynamics are *so* complicated and such a fun sandbox to play in with character-driven fandom.
so, at the core, you have three fandoms that care more about the culturally accepted fanon than the canon, with a good chunk of people often not even consuming the original canon content. and well, DC is an *easy* world to transpose just about anything onto. a boy who's half ghost and fighting supernatural threats? that makes sense, DC has ghost heroes like Deadman already. a girl who has this magical item that gives her animal themed superpowers? i mean that's practically the same thing as Vixen's Totem so that one makes sense too. they fit in pretty easy, no needing to change the world to accommodate them. and of course, if you're a fan of *one* fandom where you don't care for the canon content and only like the fandom sandbox, chances are, you'll get drawn in pretty easily to another fandom with similar mechanics. if you can teach yourself the DP fandom rules/concepts, you can teach yourself the Batfamily fandom rules/concepts. and well, since there's so much crossover in fandom members, why not write the fanfiction? crossover fics will always exist, but with such a shared member base, you have a really big boom.
it's why the characters you see DP interact with in DC are *always* characters who are far more driven by fanon than canon. Danny and John Constantine is a *massive* concept. for people who don't read Hellblazer comics. my poor partner, @divine-dominion has lamented to me pretty often about finding DP content in the Hellblazer tag that is essentially turning Constantine into an OC. because whatever version of Constantine is being written about isn't one bit comics accurate, and really, isn't trying to be. and the same thing happens with Shazam. you watch Young Justice and understand him well enough, you get drawn in by the character concept that you just run with it. people put their favorite blorbos in the same place because hey, wouldn't ghost boy be pretty cool in a city like *Gotham*. how would Batman even react to him. and then, the shipping. because ages for the Batfamily can be easily hand-waved and moved around based on where you plop Danny into the timeline, you have your pick of the litter with him, and same with Ladybug. of course there are the most popular ships but largely, the world is your oyster.
i don't think this is the worst thing in the world for either fandom. it's not hard to filter out the crossover tags and scroll past content i don't like. and sure, i see the appeal of making your blorbos from two different places meet. i've got my drafts *full* of DC/MHA crossover ideas because well, i like them both and think that would be cool. i think my only gripe with it is when DP or MLB crossover content seeps it's way into the wrong tags. using the above example, if you're writing about Danny and Constantine but there's zero content of the actual Hellblazer comics, i don't think you need the Hellblazer tag, just the Constantine character tag. tbh i wish this extended onto Ao3 and people utilized fandom tags better. if you're writing Batfamily fanfiction that is very clearly and obviously WFA driven in characterization and concepts, i would far prefer those fics be tagged with the WFA fandom tag rather than the Batman (comics) fandom tag. because well, you're not writing about the Batman comics. and there's nothing wrong with that, but it helps if you don't confuse yourself for content striving to interact with canon more. (this especially extends to Young Justice, by the way. if you're writing for the Young Justice tv show please, please stop using the Young Justice (comics) fandom tag. i'm at my wit's end- /lh)
the whole thing is fascinating. i've got zero interest in entering DP or MLB as fandoms because that's not my speed, but witnessing it as an outsider is my favorite pastime. i see a *lot* of posts going around the DC x DP space that are helping explain to people who's who, what's what, and understanding the canon/fanon of both of these properties so others can better enter the space. which is not something you'd need in a fandom driven only by it's canon content, but it is sweet watching others try to help newbies enter the space. it's a very inviting fandom space, i think, whether you lament it's existence or not. they're just sitting in their corner with their blorbos, and i gotta respect that. the posts explaining the Batfamily to DP fans are always fun for me to read, even if i disagree with some of the characterizations in them because it helps shine a light on what the fans of this crossover regard as "important" enough about each fandom to be worth including those sorts of primers. very fascinating stuff.
#necrotic festerings#dc x dp#dc x dp crossover#dc x mlb#danny phantom#miraculous ladybug#batfamily#dc comics#fandom meta#fandom analysis#but i can totally write more of these analysis type posts bc i *love* this shit#it's like fandom anthropology#fan studies#love that shit and i have *so* many case studies i could write about cultural phenomena in the batfamily fandom space#bc you can tell by my. everything i'm a comics purist#but i'm not totally negative to fanon#i roll my eyes. I cringe. I send long rants to my loved ones.#but i live and let live and i'm not going to jump down a fanon post for being painfully incorrect. it's just mean and not how we behave.#like there's a difference that and between correcting ppl who say 'in the comics-' when they haven't read the comics#but most ppl aren't claiming their content is based on the comics. and i can respect that honesty#like you're just rawdogging it#i understand the appeal of it. seriously no shade it's a fun sandbox if you just want cool blorbos.#it's *not* how I do fandom but to each their own#and ofc i want comic accurate fanfic but i can find that on my own. it's not hard to do#some comic purists act like there's *no* comic fandom content and come on now.#it's pretty easy to tell the difference when you're scrolling ao3. let's not be unkind to content not made for us.#but i'm serious please do stay out of comic tags if you're not writing comic content. it's my only gripe with this whole thing.#besides that be gay be free.#be cringe. it's freeing i promise.#i jest about being sick of that green ghost boy and that ladybug girl in fandom but it's all silly. i really don't mind.

Hey there! I was just wondering, do you have any DP headcanons that you’d like to share? Any characters you like are good lmao
OOOOOOH boy do I!! owo
I have so many headcanons for this show omg. Just a bunch that I've picked up from reading fics, and chatting with friends, and thought up while planning out fics and prompts. Most of my headcanons center pretty heavily around Danny, since he is the blorbo™️, but I do have hcs for his friends, family, enemies, and more general ones.
This got very long, so it goes under the cut
Danny-focused hcs:
Danny doesn't need to eat much human food (and has a very reduced appetite) while in Amity Park or other ectoplasm-rich places, since his body naturally absorbs energy from ectoplasm. Though his friends and Jazz will still push him to eat even when he's not hungry, to keep his human body healthy. Whenever Danny's in places with less ectoplasm, his appetite returns with a vengeance.
Danny has an ice core and overheats easily in the summer, but in contrast handles winter months with ease. [Sometimes I like to do a reverse of this hc, where the ice core is helpful to him in the summer, but becomes detrimental to his human-side when it gets cold.]
Following the accident, lightning and other sources of raw electricity give Danny anxiety. I like to imagine that during storms he feels the static prickle on his skin.
Danny purrs when happy or content like a cat. In general, I like to imagine cores making all sorts of vibrations, hums, chirps, and other sounds.
Danny has no heartbeat in Phantom form, and doesn't need to breathe (but does so anyway out of habit). In contrast, his heartbeat and breaths per minute (as well as his core body temperature) are much lower than a standard human's.
Danny is trans and came out at a young age. Following the accident, the shock of the portal messed with his glands/hormones and he hasn't had a period since. He also hasn't grown since, with his height being stunted at around 5 foot. (In general, I like to HC that Danny takes after Maddie more in height, with Jazz getting all the tall genes from Jack.)
I like to imagine that Danny loses interest in becoming an astronaut after the accident. Existential dread + gaining the ability to explore a vast realm with many more interesting things in it will do that to a bastard.
I like to do Ghost King stuff with Danny sometimes, but I honestly prefer the idea that he just like has a claim to the throne, but in the same way that a king's 57 bastard children all would have a claim to his throne. (But the king isn't really gone anyway, so anyone with that claim is just sitting on a useless prince title while Pariah slumbers.)
I love the idea of ghost obsessions, and Danny specifically having one that is either focused around protection or helping. If the obsession is in regards to protection, I like to imagine it stems less from him thinking Sam and Tucker were in harms way when the portal went off, and more from him wishing someone would protect him/that he could protect himself.
I like to imagine that Danny (and all ghosts) won't outright fade if they fail to perform their obsession, however. I just imagine that it makes them extremely unhappy, anxious, and sickly. Danny, due to only being half-dead, has some more resilience with this too, I imagine.
I love giving Danny lasting scars, especially lichtenberg figures from the portal. I think it's particularly fun to have the scars wrap up his arm and across neck and/or face.
In addition to his scars, Danny experiences chronic pain and nerve issues in his arm associated with the accident.
I love the hc that Danny's wail is the same sort of scream he let out when he died in the portal.
In terms of orientation, I hc Danny as being asexual and then either biromantic or homoromantic, depending on what I'm feeling for the story. I both love the idea of him being biromantic, or him thinking for a long time that he had to like girls as a trans boy, before later accepting that he was gay. (I also love everlasting trio as a ship, so polyromantic is on the table too.)
Sam-focused hcs:
Sam gets a much better grip on her activism in late high school, after getting humbled a bit. This includes shifting her focus to supporting more sustainable forms of farming, rather than outright decrying the slaughter of animals. (I imagine she herself becomes a vegetarian after this, rather than a vegan.)
Sam was already on the fence about eating meat prior to the portal, but gave it up for good (and briefly became very belligerent about it), because she couldn't get the smell of the portal accident out of her nose. Cooked meat makes her feel sick for a very long time, especially pork.
I love hcs that Sam either dyes her hair and/or wears colored contacts.
Sam becomes rather liminal from being around Danny and the Zone, and retains some plant-based powers from Undergrowth. Overtime, Sam will start to develop a proto-core and have her senses altered by it.
Linked with the previous hc, I like to hc Sam as being prone to sensory overload, and this being exacerbated by an increase in her hearing following the portal.
As an adult, Sam funnels her passion for activism into journalism.
Tucker-focused hcs:
Tucker is hard-of-hearing and requires the use of hearing aids. Being reliant on technology from a young age helped kickstart his interest in it. Also, because of Tucker's disability, both Danny, Sam, Jazz, and eventually Val learn sign language to converse more easily with him.
Following the portal, Tucker is forced to modify his tech (and in particular his hearing aids) to interact more neutrally with ectoplasm.
I like to imagine that Tucker is very forceful with hitting on girls as, similar to Danny, he is fighting against some internalized homophobia. In terms of orientation, I imagine he is pansexual, with a preference for masculine individuals.
Like Sam, Tucker becomes rather liminal following the portal accident, and may develop tech-based powers. While Sam's ears are much more affected by liminality, Tucker instead experiences a dramatic shift in his vision.
Tucker might be an only child, but he comes from a very large, very supportive family that's all over various parts of the US.
Tucker has some food sensitivities, especially in regards to texture. He's definitely somewhere on the autism spectrum, alongside Danny and Jazz.
Tucker was the one to initiate friendship with both Danny and Sam. He met Danny when they were in preschool and insisted on being friends, and dragged Sam into their small group later on after meeting her in elementary-middle school when her family moved to Amity.
Tucker's eyes are brown or a dark hazel, rather than the teal they're depicted as in the show.
Val-focused hcs:
After getting ousted from her previous friend group, Valerie feels more comfortable with exploring some hobbies she previously didn't feel comfortable with around Paulina and Star. This includes video games, card collecting, and skateboarding.
Val's mother passed away when she was a very young child, and she has little to no memories of her.
Val's eyes are brown, rather than the green they're depicted as in the show.
Val becomes very liminal due to her suit-- much more liminal than both Tucker and Sam. By the time she's an adult, Val has a proto-core at the very least, and a sizeable grasp on controlling tech.
Valerie is bisexual, with a large preference for women that she doesn't explore until being ousted from her old friend group.
It isn't until college, when they've learned more about themselves and their internalized biases, that Val starts to reconnect with her old friends.
Jazz-focused hcs:
Jazz is much taller than Danny, and reaches over 6 foot tall by the time she stops growing.
Jazz is bisexual, and has known she is for a long time after helping Danny come out as trans and doing some of her own personal research.
I like to imagine that Jazz either becomes a child therapist or teacher after watching her little brother and his friends struggle in their formative years. Though I also really like the hc that Jazz, rather than Danny, becomes very interested in the technical and tinkering aspects of their parents' work.
I imagine around the end of HS that Jazz realizes she really shouldn't be psychoanalyzing and giving therapy to family and friends.
Jazz's driving is just as terrifying as Jack's, and her car is a beat-up old mess covered in dings and scratches.
Jazz likes to cook, but creates the biggest messes while doing so. In general, organized chaos is her MO.
Like Danny's friends, Jazz is rather liminal. She's less liminal than Val, though more so than Sam and Tuck, due to living directly over the portal. I imagine this comes with a heightened sense of emotion, as well as hearing.
I like to imagine that Jazz is just as, if not more nervous than Danny about him revealing his secret to their parents. To her, it feels similar to the danger of a trans kid coming out of the closet in a transphobic household, and while she'd like to believe their parents would accept Danny as a halfa, she's not willing to chance the risk while he's still dependent on them and they have not changed their tune on ghosts.
Jazz is so focused on helping Danny survive his teens that it isn't until she's like 25-30 that she really starts to unpack her own trauma.
General Amity and ghost hcs:
Amity Park is a bit colder than the surrounding region, due to the heavy presence of ghosts.
The ghosts have also altered the native wildlife. Many native species of animals have fled, or otherwise adjusted their behavior to account for ghostly neighbors. It's not uncommon to see ghostly ducks swimming alongside living ones, or feral groups of cats with some being more transparent than the rest.
Because of the Box Ghost, many residents in Amity Park start to get into the habit of unboxing their groceries as soon as possible. There's more than one spot where boxes can be left in a pile, and it's rare that they remain there for more than a day.
In general, I like to imagine that Amity really embraces the ghostliness, with some shops even taking it up as a theme. It's not uncommon to see Halloween decorations all year round, including ghosts with little Santa hats come Christmas.
Because of all of the ectoplasm in the air, technology has a habit of acting very strangely in Amity Park. Most advanced tech needs to be altered to work correctly within city limits.
Blob ghosts are very endearing, and more than one Amity Parker has one as a pet.
Okay, this got Very long so I'm gonna stop it here cause I could just Keep Going. Especially where stuff like the Far Frozen or crossovers are concerned, but those are for another time lol.

A PSA for tagging DPxDC Content
This post will include:
The proper tags to use when posting
Why we use them and not the parent fandom tags
A chart of key words to help you filter
Image descriptions under the cut
We know we can't control who tags what, and how tumblr chooses to work, or not work, but these are just some general guidelines to help everyone find or block our content.
Tumblr media
What DPxDC Tags should you use?
General: dpxdc always
More Specific Tags: Batpham, dpxjl, dpxyj
For ALL ships please add “ship” after the ship name. For example: Dead Tired ship, Dead on Main ship, Double Edged Sword ship
What Tags should you NOT use?
Parent Fandom Tags: Danny Phantom, dp, Phandom, Phanart, Phanfic, DC Comics, DC Universe, dc, Batfamily, Batfam, Superfam
Variations of General Tags: dp x dc, dcxdp, dc x dp, dp x jl, dp x yj, dp/dc, dc/dp,
For ships please don’t tag JUST the ship name. For example: Dead Tired, Dead on Main, Double Edged Sword
As a general fandom tag we are using dpxdc, WITH NO SPACES.
Why no spaces? Tumblr is so glitchy it’s baffling a very functional website. Because of this we’ve received reports that sometimes if a post is tagged "dp x dc" or “dp/dc then, even when the tag is blocked, the posts will still show up in the individual "dp" and "dc" tags. That isn’t cool.
Why is it important to tag separately?
dpxdc is a big crossover. The crossover fandom has been rapidly growing over the past year. The crossover fandom drowns out the original dp/danny phantom fandom by a lot, especially for people who may be interested in dpxdc but also want to enjoy regular phandom content. By not using the dp and danny phantom tags, it helps a lot to not drown out the main fandom's inhabitants and content. dpxdc as a fandom tends to pump out a lot of content (which is amazing), but that means that we need to be careful to not suffocate the main fandoms. "Why can't I tag the danny phantom or batfam main fandoms? it's a crossover" -- yeah, it is a crossover, but it's a crossover that is huge (especially in comparison to danny phantom) and dpxdc has taken over the main fandom tags. It's causing a lot of animosity and tension on both sides.
Additionally, the crossover (like most fandoms) comes with some common characterizations, tropes, aus, and concepts that tend to be interpretations that do not link back to the main fandom well. While fandoms come up with their own characterizations, tropes, aus, and concepts, it's important to know when a crossover fandom has existed long enough to establish its own sets of common themes that the main fandom may want nothing to do with.
This doesn’t mean you have to pick between dpxdc and its parent fandoms, like Danny Phantom or DC or Batfam. Indeed, by NOT tagging dpxdc with its parent fandoms, you are ensuring that people who want a space for dpxdc and a space for its parent fandoms can have both! We don’t have to pick sides! But in order to have both, we need to tag dpxdc content with a tag we can search (that is, dpxdc), AND we need to make sure we’re NOT tagging the parent fandoms (such as, danny phantom).
What if I don't want to see dpxdc content?
Here {link} is an in depth guide on how to block tags and filter certain content from appearing on your dash. We also ask that you please keep any venting out of the dpxdc.
However, if you’d like an easy list of terms to just put into your filters, we’ve made a chart!

yk, I was goaded into reading Self-Cest for the Danny Phantom fandom (it was a good read and I stalked the author’s entire dischoreography afterward) but now I’m wondering how that would go for Han Sooyoung and her avatars. Specifically 1863rd Han Sooyoung.
How would they get over the dispute over who the true hsy is? Would they conclude that they’re just two different people because the 1963rd was only possessing the other hsy to write? Would they be able to differentiate? Questions questions questions
The fic was by Dream_Trance if ur curious
'goaded' I like that word. I too have goaded people into reading selfcest content I think.
I'm guessing you read my recent Han Sooyoung meta where I talk about how I think their split happened and then sent this ask. You got me absolutely right in that case, there IS a secret selfcest version of that post I didn't include because of woke (well, actually because I want people to focus on the theory lol and weird selfcest shipping distracts from that).
The thing orv does with the alt universe selves that is sooo interesting to me is all of them, and I do mean all, have these twisted and complicated feeling about their other selves. And that's all canon, all I do is tint those feelings in a slightly more romantic direction. for fun. (despite all appearances I'm secretly a canon purist. no, not really. but imagine if I was)
So, what is Han Sooyoung's whole deal?
From what we see in orv, their whole dynamic is basically.... 1863 is cool smart badass powerful protagonist-like and 3rd is the 'rip-off' constantly trying to catch up to her awesomeness / keep up / 'plagirizing' her. This happens a lot, starting from when Han Sooyoung is 13 years old and accidentally plagirises herself for the 1st time.
Tumblr media
1863 writes Ways of Survival? 3rd gets vague dream-memories and writes SSSSS grade infinite regressor.
Tumblr media
1863 becomes a constellation named Architect of the False Last Act? guess what 3rd does.
Tumblr media
See how the narration always mentions 'btw 1863 did this first' - I'm not making this up. 3rd even plagiarizes 1863's lost memories into existence again !!
Tumblr media
So if there is one 'true' Han Sooyoung...it is pretty clear who that would be. But crucially, 1863 does not mind at all being ripped off and isn't bitter about it. (unlike sp, who is very bitter at first.)
When Kim Dokja comes to her like 'someone plagiarized your novel!!1!!1!' han sooyoung says lol idc because she knows its just 'daytime ego'/3rd.
Tumblr media
Even during the scenarios, 1863 is constantly helping her out because she sees 3rd as a bit of an idiot who does not know anything (very sp style) so OBVIOUSLY she needs to come along and save her while pretending its a huge hassle and she totally doesn't want to. (very 'this will be the last time i help you' for spyjh).
Like, for example, way before 3rd gets Predictive Plagiarism, 1863 is giving cryptic dream hints to help her, and when that doesn't work just straight up temporarily passing on the skill.
Tumblr media
but she's totally doing it for fun and because she likes to throw a wrench in others plans haha and not because she cares or anything. totally.
And ALSO let's just talk about this epilouge moment that drives me crazy. 3rd is doubting herself and crumbling under the pressure so 1863 emerges from their subconscious to help her one last time and says LET ME DO IT. Aargh!!!
Tumblr media
selfcest yuri...
So yeah, this is a brief look on how I interpret the 3rd/1863rd relationship (Han Sooyoung version.) I have more thoughts on them during the epilouge specifically and the avatar skill but. different post.

ectoberhaunt day 5: hunt @ectoberhaunt
give & take
words: 2112
read it on ao3
tucker has to protect his loved ones, because no one else will.
(tech hunter au)
cw: death, slight mention of blood
i had too much fun writing this there may be a part 2 eventually
Tucker raced home, hand clutched to his side. He could already feel the blood seeping through his suit, the drying liquid creating a sticky mess. He snuck back into his bedroom with practiced stealth and nearly collapsed on the floor. Peeling back the torn fabric, Tucker saw it was indeed a deep gash. This would need stitches.
Cursing to himself, he pulled out his first-aid kit from under the bed. This thing had seen a lot of use over the last few months, and while he was proud of his ability to take care of himself, it wasn’t preferable. Tucker knew he was messing himself up; he knew it was irresponsible, but if not him, then who?
Who would protect this town? Forego all instincts, put their life on the line, just to make sure everyone else was safe?
Tucker scoffed at the thought, then returned his focus to the task at hand. He hissed at the sting of the needle passing through his skin again and again, relieved when the waterfall of blood became a slight trickle. A grim realization hit that he could very well soon be buried under scars if things kept up the way they were, and how would he explain away that?
It had only been three months so far. The learning curve was tough, but Tucker was tougher. He had to be.
What hurt more than the cuts and bruises was how these ghosts had changed the lives of his loved ones. Tucker despised the way his mother was afraid to walk alone anywhere, or that his father had to take off work to tend to a broken collarbone from a particular incident. His heart broke at the way ghosts consumed the life of his best friend, and how they seemed to seek him out specifically. As the son of people who dedicated their lives to dissecting and eradicating ghosts so publicly, it was no surprise he had a target on his back, and Tucker resented that fact.
That’s why Tucker chose to remain anonymous. He couldn’t risk outing his civilian self to his enemies. They would only come at him harder, and surely make his loved one’s lives more difficult than they already were. No, this was something he had to keep secret. It was best for everyone.
It was increasingly challenging though, to maintain a low profile. Sam was, somehow, on the side of the ghosts, and criticized every person or organization that made it their mission to hunt them down. Not that Tucker was too surprised considering her personal beliefs. Danny displayed noticeable discomfort every time the subject was brought up. Especially when it came to Phantom.
This seemed to be the main point of contention. Almost every one of Tucker’s peers idolized the humanoid ghost. He’s a hero! So handsome! Did you see the way he blasted the Box Ghost? Incredible!
In Tucker’s mind, Phantom was the root of the problem. He wouldn’t leave Amity Park. He escaped every assailant. He was showing every other ghost that they too, could remain in the Earth realm and cause havoc without having to face the consequences.
Tucker would make an example of him.
He finished up the stitching with a layer of antiseptic and popped two over-the-counter pain relief pills. After carefully removing his suit (it would repair itself come tomorrow) and changing into a set of pajamas, Tucker slowly laid down on his bed, favoring his uninjured side. His clock read 2:26am, and he internally groaned. Four hours of sleep would have to be enough.
The next day was rough from his sleep deprivation, but it wasn’t the first time nor would it be the last. What happened over the course of the school day, he didn’t know. He could barely focus, barely keep his eyes open. It’s a miracle he didn’t fall asleep in class; that was Danny’s reputation anyways.
Once at home, Tucker immediately flopped onto his bed. Homework could wait. A nap was necessary. He lost consciousness as soon as he was curled up under the weight of his comforter.
A blaring noise from his nightstand brought Tucker out of his sleep. He must have really dozed off, for his bedroom was almost completely dark. He turned his attention to the source of what had woken him.
His alert system was going off.
There was a ghost.
Instinct took over and Tucker geared up in the blink of an eye. He threw his window open and jumped outside, his hoverboard catching him. His tech latched on to a spectral trail and Tucker sped off in its direction.
The trail brought him to a clearing just outside of town. At the very end of it, he found Phantom.
The ghost wasn’t doing anything, simply laying on his back, hovering maybe an inch off the ground. There was a calm breeze that gracefully sped through the grass, ruffling the ghost’s sparkling hair. Phantom’s attention was focused upwards towards the sky, as if he were gazing at the stars.Though Tucker couldn’t see his face, the ghost seemed…relaxed.
Which worked perfectly in Tucker’s favor.
He was careful not to make a sound while he pulled out a weapon that he’d recently added to his collection. Phantom’s hearing was, like the rest of him, supernatural, and Tucker couldn’t risk giving himself away.
Thanks to his friendship with Danny, Tucker had (unofficial) access to the tech at FentonWorks. Sure, Tucker was an engineering whiz, but none of the equipment he came up with paralleled that of the Fentons.
The last time Tucker had been at Danny’s house, he’d excused himself to the bathroom and snuck into the lab. He swiped an ecto-paralytic that the Fenton’s had been particularly pleased with, and Tucker had been saving it just for Phantom.
Once the dart was loaded, Tucker brought the weapon to eye level and secured his aim. He couldn’t miss. This was a one-time opportunity to have Phantom so off guard, and he wouldn’t waste it.
Tucker sucked in a deep breath and pulled the trigger. The dart hit its intended target dead on.
Phantom yelped, bursting out of his relaxed position. He spun around and spotted Tucker, then took off.
This was no issue. Tucker just had to keep Phantom in sight while the paralytic worked through the ghost’s system. As soon as he was incapacitated, Tucker would have no problem with the rest.
Strangely enough, Phantom’s route began to look familiar - it just so happened they were speeding down Danny’s street. Tucker realized Phantom was trying to make a break for the Fenton’s portal and escape into the safety of the Ghost Zone.
Like he was going to let that happen.
He quickly typed a command into his suit and activated the ghost shield around the Fenton’s residence. Phantom slammed into it - he crumpled into the alley beside the home. From above, Tucker watched.
The paralytic finally began kicking in. Phantom struggled to get to his feet, but failed. Once he was a motionless heap, Tucker moved in, landing beside the ghost.
“Thought your actions would never catch up to you, huh?” Tucker taunted. He kicked at Phantom, rolling him onto his back with his foot. The ghost’s face was scratched up with ectoplasm leaking from the wounds.
“You thought,” Tucker continued, voice growing louder, bolder, “you could terrorize my town, and get away with it?”
As if Phantom could answer in his paralyzed state. Tucker chuckled, and leaned in closer to the ghost’s face.
“Not any more.”
Tucker disabled his helmet. He wanted Phantom to see who was responsible for bringing him down.
Phantom’s eyes seemed to explode with energy.
“My name is Tucker. Tucker Foley. I protect this town, not you. You have invited yourself here for too long, caused too much pain. My mother fears for her life every time she walks out the door. My father suffered at the hands of one of your kind. My best friend is constantly being targeted. He doesn’t sleep. His own parents don’t care because they’re so busy studying your existence. And I can’t let that go on.”
Tucker stopped, letting himself breathe. He couldn’t get emotional now. This was business. He powered up the ray that sat in the palm of his hand, and placed it directly on Phantom’s chest, right where his core sat, then reactivated the helmet, shielding his face. This could get messy.
Despite being paralyzed, Phantom’s core was alive. Even beneath the suit, Tucker could feel it beneath his palm, even see an intense glow that he’d never witnessed before. The ghost’s chest was heaving quickly, like he was hyperventilating (this was impossible - ghosts had no need to breathe). Peering at his face, Tucker found streaks of tears escaping from Phantom’s violently glowing eyes.
What a sick joke.
“Fuck you, Phantom.”
Tucker channeled all his anger behind his blast, sending it straight through the ghost’s core. Green consumed his vision. When it cleared, where Phantom had been underneath his palm was now a pile of green goo.
Ugh, disgusting. He shook the mess from his hand.
Grabbing three different thermoses, Tucker gathered up the mess. No point in risking it reforming. He’d have to bury these somewhere they wouldn’t be found, but that was a task for tomorrow. Right now, he wanted to bask in the relief that Amity Park was finally safe. He’d done it. He’d gotten rid of the ghost kid. Now hopefully all the others would get the message to Stay Out.
The elated part of Tucker wanted to rush up to Danny’s bedroom and share the good news. Sure, he’d never told Danny about his secret side-gig, but now that the worst was behind them, Tucker felt safe sharing this part of his life.
Yes, Tucker had feared the backlash from his enemies, but he also had to admit he had other reasons for keeping his friend in the dark. Danny was so protective - Tucker couldn’t face that worry, or worse, repeated lectures on his safety. With the threat gone now, he felt it was time. Besides, this was Danny. They were best friends. Very little could come between them.
It was time to head home.
To Tucker’s disappointment, Danny wasn’t at school the next day. Sam hadn’t heard anything, so he shot off a quick text in between classes to check in. The entire day went by with no response. Maybe he’d swing by the Fenton’s after school.
Walking up to Danny’s door, Tucker flashed his eyes to where just barely a day before he’d ended the scum that was Phantom. Faded green splotches stained the pavement, but little other evidence remained. He refocused his attention to the door and knocked.
A red-eyed Maddie greeted him, and waved him in. Tucker saw two men standing in the middle of the room, notepads in hand, badges around their necks. Maddie led him to the kitchen and pulled out a chair.
“Just one moment sweetie,” she said, her voice raw, then returned to the living room.
He didn’t have to wait long before she reappeared and took a seat across from him.
“What’s going on?” He asked.
Maddie tenderly smiled, and softly took his hand. “Danny didn’t come home last night. I’m sure you noticed he wasn’t in school today either. Both his phone and wallet were still in his room. We…don’t know where he is.”
Tucker’s heart dropped to his stomach, and tears welled in his eyes.
“You wouldn’t happen to know anything that could help us find him, do you?”
Tucker shook his head. Was Danny already gone when he was right there last night? Could Tucker have been able to do something?
Where was Danny?
The ring of the phone interrupted their conversation, and Maddie gave Tucker an apologetic smile. “You should go home. Be with your family. We’ll let you know if we get an update.” She stood and picked up the call.
Tucker let himself out. Instead of going home, he went straight to Sam’s. They hugged and cried and tried to think of something, anything , between the two of them that could lead them to their friend.
Weeks went by. The sting of Danny’s absence followed Sam and Tucker down the streets, through the halls, in their sleep. The events from the night before Danny’s disappearance remained a secret. Tucker couldn’t bring himself to tell Sam. He couldn’t risk losing her too.
Yes, the disappearance of Danny Fenton was tragic. But one small blessing came upon Amity Park that gave the citizens a sense of relief they hadn’t felt in so long.
At least the ghosts were gone.

Fandom Trumps Hate Auctions
I am offering two auctions for @fandomtrumpshate this year. This is going to be the only requests/commissions/way to get me to write something specifically for you that I do in 2025.
I have two auctions: my general auction, and a discounted auction that is for the three fandoms I am currently most interested in writing for. Both auctions are open to a wide variety of ships, themes, and kinks. You can see an expanded list of content I will create under the 'read more.'
DISCOUNTED AUCTION is for Resident Alien, The Locked Tomb, and Naruto. The rates for this auction are 1k words per every $10 bid, up to 10k words. This means that if the final bid goes above $100, I'm not writing more than 10k words (although the money would still go to a good cause!).
REGULAR AUCTION is for all other fandoms I have written for (full list under cut). The rates for this auction are 1k words per every $15 bid, up to 10k words. This means that if the final bid goes above $150, I'm not writing more than 10k words (although the money would still go to a good cause!).
Fandoms:
For the regular auction, the list of fandoms I have previously created for that are on the table: Boku no Hiro Academia (BNHA), Homestuck, Disco Elysium, The Witcher, Danganronpa (any iteration), Avatar the Last Airbender (ATLA), Madoka Magica (PMMM), The Legend of Zelda (any iteration), Bojack Horseman, Jurassic Park, Breaking Bad, Kingdom Hearts.
IN ADDITION: I am willing to offer fics from fandoms I have not created for before, so long as I feel reasonably familiar with the source material. Seriously, if there's a fandom you don't see on this list, but you're willing to give money to charity for it, reach out to me and ask! These fandoms would include, but are not limited to: Evangelion, Helluva Boss, Danny Phantom, Monogatari, Murderbot Diaries, Some Desperate Glory, Mob Psycho, The World Ends With You, Okami, Shiki, Shin Sekai Yori, Towards the Terra, most classical literature, Stardew Valley, Animorphs, Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy X, and others.
Content/Examples
Expanding on the kind of content I create here! Click links for specific examples of my work in the areas listed. Be mindful of tags, and be aware that I have a vast writing range, view at your own discretion. If you want to know if I will create something not discussed here, shoot me an ask, as this is meant to just give you a general idea of what I am capable of.
-I will write both asexual characters and aromantic characters. If you want to see a queerplatonic relationship blossom, a solo story about a character coming to terms with their asexuality, a story about an aromantic character navigating sex in an allocentric world, etc, I am more than happy to do that.
-I will write trans characters, including t4t fics, transfeminine characters, and "gender transformation" fics.
-I will write Gen fic! No ships necessary. It can be a navel-gaze character study or sibling bonding or a high-octane action piece. Whatever scenario you want to see!
-I will write any combination of shipping. MLM, WLW, Het, or poly!
-I will write a wide variety of AUs, including but not limited to fantasy AUs (including Hybrid AUs), Sci-fi AUs (including Post-Apocalypse or dystopian), or AUs based on the plot or premise of another work of fiction.
-I will write porn. Including the weird stuff. Omegaverse, Oviposition, Omorashi, a huge range of Dead Dove content (including incest and non-con), just shoot me an ask if you have a specific kink you haven't seen my write. Inversely, I am also perfectly competent at writing wholesome, fluffy porn like First Times or Mutual Pining.
I am very excited to participate in this event and hopefully raise some money for a lot of really good causes! Bidding opens the 25th and closes March 1st, so mark your calendars. Even if my work doesn't interest you, please consider browsing the metric fuckton of other auctions.

FIC REQUESTS!!!
My "Fic Request" option for @/ficsforgaza!!
Please read my information post about my participation first, which can be found here
All fic requests are for entirely new fics, no continuing on preexisting WIPs (except for adding onto a series that is explicitly set in the same universe, such as the TMA/BNHA crossover brainrot <3 universe, the todofam-plus-izuku's adventures in vigilantism universe, or The Phantom of Shinomori Prefecture universe. Additionally, I'm also open to anything that would fit into the afohiko peddling series or the in which tim stoker is entity catnip series). If you want me to work on my multichapter WIPs because I have so many of those and never update any of them, I also have an option to Sponsor a WIP!
My rate is $10 per chapter for any requests sent! The first chapter will be roughly 2k words at a minimum, any later chapters will be a minimum/rough estimate of 1k. The fandoms I will write for are listed (alphabetically) below the cut, as well as what kind of prompts I will or will not write:
What I will write:
Crossovers! Any crossover between any of the fandoms listed below. I'll also do a crossover with Tokyo Ghoul on request (just not a Tokyo Ghoul fic, like, on its own. I am not caught up on anything and quite frankly I straight up don't remember who anybody is)
Gore, horror, etc. Get freaky with it, I don't care
Angst, happy ending or no. Please specify what kind of ending you want if you're asking for angst/gore/horror because I WILL go scorched-earth bad ending if left unsupervised
(Most) Ship content! My three exceptions to this are: no adult/minor, no incest, and no Endehawks specifically (my NOTP). I won't write those, but anything else is fair game!
Major character death. I will kill whoever you want me to, boss
Various AUs. The exceptions are below but most of them are cool
Pretty much anything I've written in previous fics? Crack, fluff, whatever. If it's angst you want I'm your guy, but I'm not too bad at the other stuff too
OC content, Reader-insert, sure. I can't promise it'll be good, since I'm super out of practice doing anything of the sort, but I'll do it! Make sure to send in any specifics on how you want the reader to act, reader characteristics, etc. If you have an OC you want me to write, please give me a good description- I may ask for clarification or elaboration as necessary!
What I will not write:
Sexual content. Best I can do is a couple of jokes and a fade-to-black makeout session
Fantasy AUs. Not my thing, I rarely read them and I don't write them
Those exceptions to the "ship content" bullet point above, not writing them
Rape/dubious consent/sexual violence. It falls under sexual content, technically, but it's possible to allude to the thing without actually depicting it. I am neither alluding to nor depicting it
Teacher/student AUs. Personal squick
Mental age regression. Personal squick
Anything else that makes me personally uncomfortable- I tried listing everything I could think of, but there may be more I just haven't thought of off the top of my head
If you're not sure on something, send it in anyway. I don't judge! I just may have to ask for a prompt revision if necessary :)
Available Fandoms:
Avatar: The Last Airbender (bear in mind I have not watched the show, I'm just here based on vibes, and I don't have a full mental timeline of what went on there)
Batman/Batfam (caveat: I don't know all of Batman and I don't know all of DC. I'll kick back any prompts that ask me to write about characters/events that I am unfamiliar with, so if you want a Batman fic, please ask off anon so we can discuss necessary prompt changes! Same goes for ATLA honestly)
Danny Phantom
Fullmetal Alchemist
Good Omens
Hazbin Hotel/Helluva Boss
The Hunger Games
Markiplier Cinematic Universe (egos or the actual continuity, I'll do either, just specify if you want egos. If you just say 'darkiplier' or 'wilford' I will assume you mean the actual continuity)
Marvel Cinematic Universe
Miraculous Ladybug
My Hero Academia
The Magnus Archives
Percy Jackson (not caught up on Trials of Apollo)
Pokemon
Spider-Man
Supernatural
Unwind Dystology
WEBTOONs (if I tried to list all the webtoons I read/have read and would write fic for we'd be here all day. Asking for anyone with a webtoon request to ask off anon so prompt changes can be discussed if need be)
Anything I've offhandedly mentioned and/or you suspect I may be into, if you follow me. I'll kick back anything for fandoms I'm not in, but it doesn't hurt to ask!

Addressing these tags by @pa-pa-plasma
#okay i feel like Danny would be more mad at them running off & doing shit without him & hiding things#than the actual ''villainy'' going on
#he'd probably just be like ''dont do that it's illegal but also WHY DIDN'T YOU BRING ME?? AREN'T WE A TEAM???''#''sooo disappointed in you guys''#''for being supervillains....?''#''.........sure''
#actually if i may be more angsty for a sec
#if theyre being villains on certain nights they arent there to help Danny with ghost shit#so like. he leaves them out of it because. well. they're not as involved as he is. they need rest & time to do all their stuff
#but like. turns out they had the time & energy to help him & instead of doing that#they were running around destroying shit?? & stealing & whatnot??? & they didnt even think to tell him or let him help at all????
#like he becomes a superhero & totally involves his friends in the process as much as they do or dont want to#but his friends become villains (or antiheroes depending on who you ask) & they purposefully keep him in the dark
#i'd be pissed ngl
Yeah you've basically articulated a good portion of the reason I originally had Danny be aware of, if not really involved in Sam's supervillain side hobby. But continuing thoughts about this version where he isn't aware...
I do think a fight between the trio when Sam's side hobby comes to light is pretty likely but I think in these circumstances it isn't a long lasting one.
Sam and Tucker should have told Danny. At least once it became a repeating thing. But in their defence, they've only been doing supervillainy during times that Sam's parents would have forced her to leave Amity Park anyway.
Plus the Amulet is dangerous. Without practice Sam is more likely to be a liability in a fight then an asset. Practicing in Amity Park is frankly a terrible idea, to many variables, to much potential for collateral damage. The Ghost Zone is an equally terrible idea, although less for collateral damage and more for pure chaos potential.
…Practicing outside of Amity Park is also a terrible idea. Even if they are specifically targeting currently empty buildings. Something can always go wrong, and as carefully as they might check these buildings for occupants before attacking, it doesn't mean they couldn't miss something. Or if a hero noticed what was going down and tried to stop her, things could go bad fast.
But anyway, back to Danny finding out. I think how bad the fight is would depend a fair bit on the circumstances behind the reveal (and how quickly that Sam and Tucker acknowledge they were wrong to exclude Danny.)
Danny finding out because a fight was going badly and Sam transforms to help him? A small argument, Danny is hurt by their secrecy, but also relieved that they won and glad that Sam can now use the Amulet to help in tough fights without to much risk of her becoming something he has to fight.
Danny finding out because they escalate from Supervillainy as practice when Sam is going to out of town anyway to deliberately leaving Amity Park for supervillain activities. Nasty fight, a lot of hurt feelings.
Danny finding out because they tell him that Sam had been practicing with the Amulet before using it to help Danny as Phantom but ever actually got around to mentioning what that 'practice' involved. Hilarious (possibly with a lot of exasperation and maybe annoyance about Sam's double standards of power usage).
Because this is the version where Amity Park is under a media blackout to some extent. I'd say most likely anything going out from Amity Park is being filtered for ghost content but outside media isn't being filtered much as it comes in (seems more feasible that way). So there are a several possibilities for how Danny discovers Sam's out of Amity Park activities.
The Fenton parents have been occasionally detecting Ghost activity outside of Amity Park and realize that is from that Phantom menace's blasted new ghost Dragon ally.
Vlad has realized what is going on and makes some sort of snide remark to Danny.
Valerie watches out of town news and sees something that has her coming after Dragon Sam.
Or what I think is the funniest option- this is how the Amity Park media blackout is breached.
Sam first appeared outside of Amity Park and lets say that by the time she feels in-control enough to help Danny she's already had some sort of encounter with a hero and/or had photos/videos of her in dragon form taken. She's classified as a magical supervillain and as a known entity the Amity Park Media Blackout doesn't filter her from out going media content.
So suddenly whatever algorithm the Justice League uses to watch for supervillains is pinging images and videos of this rarely seen supervillain in an otherwise unremarkable town.
They look into it of course. And either they notice the media blackout but think 'oh shit, a supervillain has taken over this town and we didn't notice'. Or they turn up in Amity Park utterly unaware of the chaos they are about to encounter.
In which Sam is the first member of Team Phantom to encounter the Justice League because she occasionally leaves Amity Park to (take direct action) be a supervillain.
Corporations destroying the environment or abusing animals fear her. She has no fatalities to her name (This is one part morality and two parts practicality. Non-lethal villains tend to be less of a priority and it denies her opponents a method to smear her causes.) but is wanted for massive property damage.
She does this by turning into a dragon. Specifically a black and purple dragon wearing an gold and green amulet.
The Justice League thinks she's a magic user because the amulet she wears is recognized as the one of the long lost Amulets of Aragon.
Tucker is her main backup: making sure they are targeting the right places and occasionally leaking incriminating information they come across, along with using the security systems to help check that the buildings are clear of people before bringing them down.
Danny is her emergency back up, ready to pull her out if something goes really wrong, but otherwise not getting involved.
