Tech Transformation of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.

In the countless years since Pariah Dark’s defeat, the rumors of his strength have grown far past the truth. Yes, he was quite strong, but not the ultimate godlike force some places came to view him as.

So when news came out that a young ghost named Phantom had taken down Pariah and earned the throne by right of conquest, his strength was thus hyped up by extension. Surely, they think, such a warrior must be truly unmatched to have beaten a god like Pariah Dark—especially considering Phantom’s youth.

…and then some people summon King Phantom, and he offhandedly mentions losing sparring matches with his family/friends.

So now people are terrified of just how powerful those people must be to easily match a godslayer like Phantom…

Media Preservation Monday

Yeah, yeah, as of this original post it's actually only Wednesday but hey, take this as a sign to take some initiative, and keep to it each Monday at minimum if you're actively writing!

What's Media Preservation Monday, you may ask?

MPM is your reminder to back up your writing at least three ways at least once a week or whenever you make major changes to your document(s).

Here's some incredibly easy ways to back up your writing:

One your Master Document(s), put a date on the file name, and every day you make changes, "Save As" the Document and change the date. Do this every time or day you make major changes.

Example: You start writing your Novella November Story on November 1st.

You name your master document "Novnov Project 11-01-2024"

The next day, you write some more, and at the end of your writing session, you go to save your document, and instead of simply hitting "Save" you choose "Save As" and save the new copy of the Document as "Novnov Project 11-02-2024".

You now have two copies of your project, and if you keep this up throughout the whole month, you will have a live snapshot of your writing progress.

Each day or after each major writing session, open up the folder containing your document, and back it up. The Easiest and simplest way to do this is to simply email it to yourself, but you can also create multiple backups by:

Save a copy of your dated Master Document(s) to different locations on your Hard-drive, to an external hard-drive, to a thumbdrive, etc.

If you're writing offline on a writing program like Libreoffice, upload a copy of your Master Document(s) to your preffered Cloud-based Writing Program of your choice.

Vice Versa: if you write on a Cloud-based writing program, download it to various offline-based locations.

Download the base document as well as download it as various ebook formats and send them to your ebook library on your phone or kindle or nook or reading app.

Make a personal discord server and upload the document/epub form of your Master Document(s) there [this is also a good way of making a kind of personal journal / diary etc]

Whatever you do, do not be complacent and assume nothing can happen to your writing. Back it up. Preserve it.

Don't have all of your hard work go down the drain because of one tiny unforeseen accident.

When it comes time to clean up your hardrive, always assume you don't have it backed up. Before deleting anything always take the time to copy it over to another physical drive or a cloud drive.

Yeah, so while I was on my "I'm going to read into Vanny/Vanessa as much as possible" journey, I noticed an odd quirk in her animations in how she moves. At first, I thought it reminded me of a ballerina, 'cause she's kinda tip-toeing, & she has this way of keeping her head & chest in one place as she moves, but I looked again & realized --

That's not ballet! She's doing a tight-rope act. Like, look at this one:

This is like standing up on the wooden boards before you do the actual tight-rope walking, & the ring leader is hyping you up as you do some fun movement for the crowds. &, then, these:

These are all instances where she walks with one foot directly in front of the other. In that third, she's doing the "woaaah" wiggly-ass balance movements & everything, as if she's swaying up at the top of the tent, even though she's down on solid ground.

Idk, I feel like the way her feet are placed isn't accurate (pretty sure they should be pointed left & right, not both forwards...) doesn't make this 100% correct, but I like it. It also connects back with her first SB teaser, wherein she's up in the rafters.

Danny never expected to see Tim drake aka Red Robin ever again. Especially not when he just escaped the Giw covered in wounds and a Y he’d never like to see again.

Tim never thought he’d see Danny again, according to Danny only one of him could ever exist. The same one they were both certain was from a different dimension. They had searched up the justice league and Bruce Wayne from Danny’s bedroom. A dimension Danny couldn’t leave without risk of the GIW causing a war in the realm.

He had only ever met Danny after one of his opponents managed to shove him through a natural portal. He of course managed to modify his weapons to work in the infinite realms. Mortal safe food not to easy to find. It was mere chance he had run into phantom. From there he ended up waiting in Danny’s supposed different dimension until frostbite was free to let them use the infinite map to get him back home.

He really needed to look into the GIW of that was the case. First he had to deal with getting Danny medical attention.

It’s so boring to me to just give Link back his arm like nothing happened when after everything, two entire heroes journeys, dying one and almost dying again, being unprepared once and coming back stronger, having the weight of everyone’s lives on his shoulders and even more importantly, Zelda’s life, his life being molded for duty to the crown and being The Swordsman, but in one fell swoop, the limb that’s most important to his identity has to be removed. His sword arm is just… gone. He can’t fulfill his purpose as a person anymore. He can’t protect anyone, he has to majorly adjust his everyday life, he has to rely on others to just recover.

It’s not something that can be instantly fixed with a magic prosthetic, even that would take time to make and maintain and make constant adjustments and wouldn’t be something he can use 24/7. He’s got debilitating phantom pains and a new constant feeling of being useless and dependent on the people around him and wouldn’t that be fascinating to explore?

I’m just thinking of forcing this guy into long-term recovery, not just for the arm but like, extreme burnout. He may even want to deal with it on his own without being a burden on anyone else but people are literally desperate to pay him back for all he’s helped with. There are so many people out there who want to do their part to take care of him, he’s saved their world and touched all of their lives many times over and he doesn’t quite understand how Zelda is just so relieved that he’s still alive.

It’s not just about giving a character a physical disability and not magically fixing it, it’s a way to explore his relationship with purpose and duty and destiny and his relationships with the people around him, it’s about letting him grow beyond the role of knight, hero, champion, swordsman. It’s about surviving and being changed and adapting.
