Vee, still processing the fact that she and Eda are now officially cheating:

Jason: also, expect the other vigilantes to start throwing their hat in the ring soon. They can be really competitive

Robin, lore dropping like there's no tomorrow: I was genetically engineered to be the perfect combination of my mother and father. Growing up, I was expected to be the heir to both their legacies as the Demon's Head and the Bat. I always thought I wanted to take up the mantle, but it feels like a burden instead of some great destiny.

Hunter, making a few connections: ...you were supposed to fill the role of someone else?

Robin: yes, that's what I just said

Hunter, smiling: me too!

Hunter: though for me I was genetically engineered to be a copy of my former uncle's brother. And I was supposed to serve that uncle as the Golden Guard

Hunter, having a moment: ...and then I found out he was lying about our family and that he was trying to commit genocide

Hunter, spiraling: ...and then I found all the masks of the former Golden Guards...

Hunter: ...and realized he killed them all every time they - we - betrayed him...

Robin:

Hunter: ...and then he killed Flapjack...

Robin, prepared to go to war: let us kill that imbecile for his crimes.

Batman, approaching the Clawthornes: Eda.

Eda: Batman.

Batman, actually kinda trying to help: King is fourteen, correct?

Batman: that would place him at the start of high school. It might be good for him to interact with kids his own age.

Eda, squaring up: don't tell me how to parent my kid!

Eda, immediately turning to King: do you wanna go to school?

King: hmm maybe, I don't really know how human schools work and don't want to deal with what Luz went through...

Batman, who has a fourteen year old who also doesn't want to deal with school (but has to anyway to keep up appearances): we could get you a student liaison to shadow. If you want, they could be informed of your situation so you have someone to talk to

King: ...yeah sure sounds interesting

King, approaching The Bingo Council that night: is Batman getting me into school considered an almost-adoption? Cause I feel like if Eda wasn't there he would've adopted me

Eda, crossing her arms: I vote no. Adoption has to go through me and we have to fight for custody

Gus, who wants a point: I argue yes. We all know Batman has an adoption problem and Eda openly challenged his parenting attempts

Vee, off to the side, twiddling her thumbs and wondering if Batman is one of the vigilantes involved in Bingo Interference:

King, walking into class on his first day and seeing the glowering student liaison that everyone seems afraid of: *squints*

Damian: *narrows his eyes, waiting to see what King does*

Big Announcement!

Hello all! This is a bit of a departure from the TOH content I've been putting up recently, but I wanted announce this as well! So, without further ado, I'd like to introduce you all to:

TROLL: THE CULLING!

Welcome to Alternia, a distant grey rock adorned by its pink and green moons that drifts around a burning red sun. This planet serves as the cruel and brutal home of an alien race known as Trolls. The Trolls live in service to a tyrannical, world-spanning government, purpose-bred to conform to its rigid hierarchy. Those at the bottom are ground to dust, fuel for a societal machine that keeps those at the top in power so long as they stick to their predefined roles. It’s a system stuck in stagnation while trolls on either side of the spectrum try to change it in their own, fruitless ways. To put it bluntly, the world is broken. Get used to it.

Troll: The Culling is a Tabletop (T)Roll-Playing Game made to be use din concert with Paradox Interactive's Storyteller v5 system. Set on a version of Alternia where the reckoning never happened, the game aims to capture the political and sociological turmoil presented by Hivebent and Hiveswap with a bit of a darker tinge to it characteristic of the World of Darkness's systems. It also presents a bit of biological horror with its mutation/stability system.

This is something me and a friend of mine (Miami Swacket) have been working on for a bit now, and I'm really excited to finally be able to talk about it some. It's not quite ready for release yet, but we'll be starting playtesting in the coming months. I'll put an interest survey below, as well as link it in my Carrd and Strawpage, so if you're interested in joining a playtest session feel free to fill it out! Even if you're not familiar with Homestuck, World of Darkness, or even TTRPGs in general, any participation in the session/s is extremely valuable!

As far as release goes, we're planning on posting it to a GitHub repository so that anyone who wants to use it can, free of charge. This is something that we've been doing for fun, and we want it to be accessible to as many people as we can make it accessible to!

Anyways, like I've said, this is something that I've been itching to show off for a bit now, and I'm really excited to show y'all more of it as we get closer to playtesting and release! I'll be doing regular updates to talk about different aspects of the game, so keep an eye out for those throughout this summer!

This doesn't mean I'm gonna stop with my TOH content (I've got something a bit more traditional for that coming soon). I've been working on both projects in tandem, and I plan to keep doing that. I've got more TOH Character Intros to put out too. The next one, my Lumity fankid, comes out in 30 minutes. Troll: The Culling is just at a point where I'm ready to start showing it off!

These are two bisexuals in love. Special Shout-Out to the SeraMyu where Mamoru is played by a woman so in my head I can somewhat imagine that its sapphic version of UsaMamo.

Now my first slowburn LGBT+ ship is Bubbline

I've always been obsessed with Adventure Time since it first came out and Marceline definitely was a part of my queer awakening. Now let me tell you, baby me ALWAYS knew there were vibes. One of them is how, in the comics, when Finn visits the future, the Candy Kingdom becomes the Candy/Vampire Kingdom. Is it casual to rule a kingdom together? When they kissed in that finale I never felt so freaking vindicated.

Next is MadoHomu!!!

Baby's First Doomed Yuri to the point I'm still obsessed with them eleven years later. You bet your asses I'm excited for the new movie. I need to see if they're still doomed or if they will finally be happy together.

Next is Klance

If you've seen me like what, 7-8 years ago, this should come as no surprise. God, these two will always make me go feral over the colors of red and blue. I still read about them and think about whether I want to write about them. These two have shaped my personality and shipping preferences in ways that I will NEVER recover from.

And here comes the same ship different font in Korrasami!

Remember how I said Klance shaped my preferences. Here's a direct example. I knew there were canons before I actually watched the show, but let me tell ya, these two were so good. Also lowkey underrated. How is it possible there isn't much content with these? I DEMAND MORE OF THESE TWO!

First up, my first poly ship: Stomco!

GOD THESE THREE! I COULD NOT WITH THIS SHOW! THEY INVENTED THE TERM FOR ME THAT STAR/MARCO/TOM HAS TWO HANDS! THEY'RE ALL IN LOVE WITH EACH OTHER! It was definitely the pipeline of Starco, then Tomco, then that whole Tom x Star, and eventually going "all three are in love with each other". Seriously, there are not enough fics with this ship. I will write for them if I have to!

Next up going back on the WLW Train is Catradora!

This show came the day before my birthday, and when I first had the Princess Prom episode, I fell in love with these two. I was SEATED FOR THEIR MESSY MESSY LOVE STORY! When they finally got together, let me tell ya, I nearly cried cause it was the first time I could see an LGBT focused love story have a payoff. They saved the Universe with their LOVE!

Following how RedXBlue will haunt me we got WrightWorth!

Okay, these two... I remember watching a playthrough with them, and once we got that iconic "unnecessary feelings" scene, it was over for me. I will always go back to them and watch them dance around their feelings. I'm currently watching Cyyu and Sylla play through the games again, and it's always so nice to see people watch them in real time on their romance. They're so canon yet not canon. Capcom, stop being COWARDS!

Speaking of so canon here we got Viktuuri!

I joined the Yuri on Ice fandom late, and I watched this for the first time with my sibling. And let me tell you... MY JAW DROPPED WHEN WE GOT AN OFFICIAL KISS! LIKE WHAT? THEY DID! THEY FR JUST DID THAT! I will forever hate Mappa for canceling that movie. Gosh, these two are so in love.

Keeping up with Sports Anime Train we got KageHina

My sibling got me into Haikyuu, and honestly, no regrets. These two were freaking adorable and seeing them being just such good foils to each other. My favorite scene of them is just anytime Hinata defends Kageyama. Like yeah, they'll argue like crazy but Hinata is the Number #1 Kageyama Defender. Also the dub? The dub Ukai calls them Lovebirds? Poetry.

Continuing the Rival Trend is BakuDeku!!!

Holy shit, holy shit, holy shit. The CHOKEHOLD these two have on me has only ever been matched by UsaMamo and Klance. I remember really shipping them when Deku went absolutely crazy when Katsuki got kidnapped? Then the fight? Then the growth? The APOLOGY? THE NEAR DEATHS? THE REACTION TO DEATH? THE CHASING AFTER YOU? God, I will cry over these forever.

Next up is Lumity!

Have you ever shipped something before the show even started? These two were it! I saw one piece of art of Amity and maybe one clip in the trailer, and it was over. I knew I wanted them, Canon. And the way that they were just so casual??? Like, not the main focus, but still important? Love that for them. Every time I could see them falling for each and getting together I was CHEERING!

Now this next one will come a surprise for being so early considering my recent hyperfixation but.... KomaHina!

Look... Look, I fell into Danganronpa back in 2020, and because I got my GF into into recently, that's where the rise of content came back. Let me tell ya these two... they're so canon that it physically makes it ill that they're not official. Bruh, Nagito is in official art with Kyoko and Shuichi, ya know, the other implied love interests. In a Free Time Event, he straight up goes "I'm deeply in love with the hope that lives inside you," like okay buddy. Also, the Island Mode straight up tells Hajime he's going back to their room to their LOVE NEST!

On a less frustrating note we got ItaFushi

When I first got into JJK, I knew I was destined to ship these two. These two are literally so near and dear to my heart. Like, not even gonna lie, there are so many good flavors of ItaFushi. Fluffy ItaFushi, where it's in their S1 Era. Angsty ItaFushi of Itadori with his execution, Post-Shibuya, and well.... the manga.

Another Poly Ship: Sashannarcy

These girls were so cute in Amphibia! Their dynamics are all great. So many different types of ships in one big ship. They really mean the world to each other. They're the vein of "don't separate". I do wish I had gone through this show slower, but it's okay. I still love them.

YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND THESE TWO ARE THE ONLY REASON WHY I'M STILL WATCHING THIS SHOW! I NEED THEM TO BE CANON SO BADLY! IF NOT CANON, WHY DID WEDNESDAY CONSTANTLY TALK ABOUT HER IN A POSITIVE LIGHT IN THE NOVEL? WHY IS SHE THE ONLY ONE WEDNESDAY WANTED TO GIVE A HUG TO?!

Honestly, this was a surprise at how much I adore them. When I first watched Blue Exorcist, I was more of the Rin can be together with anyone with no heavy preference. But then, as one does, I read some fics, looked at art, rewatched it, and now I have a preference for these two. Also, Dub be wild for making Rin call Bon "babe" and having the canon nickname of "Princess". I got big fic plans for these.

GOD DAMN 2024 WAS CRAZY FOR THESE TWO! I DID NOT THINK I WOULD BE AS INVESTED AS I WAS FOR THEM! GOSH THESE TWO! THEY'RE SO INSANE! THAT WHOLE CHRISTMAS SPECIAL AND THE TRIAL? INSANE! I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE MORE OF THEM!

Going from super known to lesser known we got RaeClaire!

THESE TWO ARE UNDERRATED AS HELL! YOU KNOW HOW I KNOW? CAUSE I HAVE YET TO SEE FAN MERCH OF THEM AT CONS! WHAT THE HECK? RAE IS SUCH A GAY MOOD! I might be especially biased because I watched this blind with the GF, so this one sorta has a soft spot for both of us. Gosh, SEASON 2 WHEN?!

Back into the sports anime we got Renga!

So, I'm not putting ships I got into during 2025, cause we're only halfway. But shout out to these two for their moments in the OVA! These two are so cute! Also the Dub be WILD adding more queer coding for the show with "Reki, my love... of skateboarding". These two are so canon and no one can tell me otherwise.

Now onto an actual Canon Ship of Mafuyama to end things off!

When I tell you I SCREAMED when they kissed. I SCREAMED! I knew it was gay when I turned it on, but the way it's just so good. The performance of Mafuyu lives in my head rent free. Also the Dub Cast being almost entirely an all LGBT Cast? Thank you, more please? I'm scared to watch the movie cause I just want more of these two.

The Web House

Full disclosure—I did not have this all typed out before today, but this won the poll, and I do nothing if not deliver.

*cracks knuckles*

So, this is kind of an inverse to my already well-established AU, The Wittebane Archives, over on AO3—Luz is the Archivist and going through the horrors, there’s an equal amount of deep character moments as well as incredibly chilling encounters, it’s great, it’s one of my favorite things I’ve ever written, please go check it out. You got tragic Lumity, tragic Huntlow, wholesome Veesha, Skara and Boscha content, and Belos being much more morally grey than you’d expect. Also, there’s some fucked-up monster content.

ANYWAYS!

I finally decided to do an AU where a young Jon ends up on the Boiling Isles, and I took a similar approach with the tone that I did with Wittebane Archives. In that story, while I still highlighted the horror of the world they live in, I decided to make it more manageable for the characters and give them chances to still find ways to feel human, reflecting the fact that TOH is a more gentle and optimistic show (and I much prefer happy endings to sad ones). So, with The Web House, I decided that the Isles in this world are the Isles we would’ve gotten if Dana had been allowed to do her original vision… which is to say, all of the scary and horrific parts are kicked up to their extent. No sugarcoating here, the demon realm is explicitly referred to as Hell.

Now, to the characters!

Jon: He is, of course, in the role of Luz. Rather than being a naive ray of sunshine from Connecticut, he’s a prickly, anxious, and socially awkward kid from Bournemouth who gets in trouble for his constant refrain of correcting the teacher, having no interest in the assignments, and his habit of reading during class. This eventually leads to him nearly getting sent to a camp for “troubled kids…” until his habit for wandering off and getting distracted by things that are out of the ordinary leads him to stumble in through a portal to the Boiling Isles. Once there, Jon is absolutely blown away by the wonder and horror of the world, and he finally finds something that he’s truly passionate about—though, time and time again, he’s told that he can’t do magic because he’s a human, and he gets very defensive about it. It takes him a while for his walls to come down.

Gerry: He’s Eda—a snarky, anti-establishment, laid-back criminal with a lot of trauma and a habit of unintentionally adopting kids. Instead of an Owl Beast curse, he has a Spider Beast curse, and is referred to as the “Web Witch” by the denizens of the Isles. Gerry was actually pretty happy pre-curse, mainly because his mother died before she could do a lot of real harm… but after getting cursed, everything came crashing down, culminating in Gerry accidentally blinding his father and running away to hide in the woods. Since then, he has a hard time really letting people in, and the fact that he’s a wanted criminal doesn’t help. But that doesn’t mean that he doesn’t regularly take in strays. (Also, the curse turns his hair black, but it’s naturally red. You’ll see why in a sec.)

Annabelle: She is a slightly more mature version of King—a spiderlike demon child that Gerry found and took in at a young age. Knowing full well that she’s adorable, she takes advantage of the fact that people think she’s sweet and naive to get what she wants, which leads to a lot of shenanigans in the first-season arc. As the story goes on, and she finally takes the push to learn more about her past, she starts learning how to be responsible and to be more honest with herself and others, though she never loses her talent for deception. She’s a curious and devious little kid.

Helen: She’s a Hooty equivalent. Just a sassy door being who helps keep the Web House in tip-top shape.

Agnes: She’s Lilith—Gerry’s older sister and the head of the Emperor’s Coven. Of course, Agnes being Agnes, she’s a lot less tightly wound than Lilith at first and is genuinely sweet and caring, just deeply misguided. She truly believes that Gerry joining the EC is the best option for him, and she’s always been tormented with guilt over cursing him. After leaving the coven, Agnes tries her hardest to make up for lost time, both with Gerry, Eric, and their great-aunt Gertrude, even if she really has no idea how to interact with people outside of being the polite and perfect role model. It’s a learning curve.

Basira: She takes the place of Willow, though her character development is less about being insecure and slowly gaining confidence and more about being stoic and apathetic and learning to express her emotions and fight for what she believes in. Basira has natural talent in both Beastkeeping and Plants, and while she initially thinks that switching to the Plant track would be better for her, she eventually decides to take both classes once it’s approved. She’s painfully logic-minded and has a lot of internal doubts about the coven system, though until she meets Jon and hears his casual breakdown of how valuing certain types of magic over others just doesn’t make sense, she doesn’t yet have the courage to voice it. On her end, Basira turns out to be just the friend that Jon needs—someone who believes in him, but isn’t afraid to tell him when he’s being an ass.

Georgie: She’s in Gus’s position, though instead of being a prodigy at Illusion magic, she’s a prodigy at Abominations magic… and is more than a little terrifying as a result. Don’t get me wrong, she’s a wonderful person, but her keen interest in both humans and in subsects of magic that are more than a little macabre can be a little off-putting to some, which is why Basira’s her only real friend at first. After their initial meeting, which consists of Georgie excitedly asking Jon for a blood sample and him being incredibly spooked by her amazement at meeting an actual human, the two end up getting along like a house on fire, and are basically enablers in each other’s chaos. Georgie’s family doesn’t have a lot of money or social standing in the Isles, so she works twice as hard in order to prove herself and get better opportunities. This leads to burnout. Frequently.

Melanie: She’s… okay, so, she’s Matt in that she’s a fellow member of Georgie’s human appreciation club and a new student at Hexside, though she and Georgie don’t really have a rivalry beyond friendly ribbing. However, she’s also Viney, in that she’s a member of the Detention track who helps kickstart multi-track studies. She and Jon don’t get along immediately, mostly due to the fact that he unintentionally ratted her out for studying both Oracle and Construction magic the first time they met, but the two form a begrudging alliance during a basilisk attack and later become actual friends. Melanie’s a sucker for drama and conflict, and she carries that with her—whether she’s in the Human Appreciation Society, the Flyer Derby team, or just hanging out with Georgie and the rest of the gang. She’s fun.

Martin: He’s Amity, in that he’s a depressed rich kid who’s severely isolated due to parental expectations. Due to his incredible talent at Illusions, a lot of kids end up coming to him when they need to cheat, though they never actually become friends with him due to everyone seeing him as a quiet weirdo who never had to work for anything. When Jon comes along, Martin is distrustful of anybody claiming to want to be his friend, and he doesn’t help things by accidentally demeaning Jon’s interest in magic—which, in Jon’s eyes, cements him as a rival. After a string of miscommunication and failed interactions, the two eventually reach a middle ground and become friends… which later leads into Martin developing a gigantic crush on Jon. Which is later reciprocated. Aside from the romantic drama, Martin learns to both become more open and to stand up for himself, becoming the kind yet bitchy individual we all know and love.

Tim & Danny: They’re Edric and Emira—Martin’s class-clown yet charming older brothers who love teasing their little brother and getting into general mischief. Tim’s the oldest, and he’s usually the one who shows a lot of actual worry towards Martin, though he’s still a very flashy individual and tends to do a lot of crazy things just for the hell of it. Danny, on the other hand, has some identity issues that stem from being a middle child who doesn’t quite know who he is outside of his family, and he tends to throw himself into something if he thinks it’ll make him stand out. They’re both illusionists, like Martin, and while Tim and Danny are biological brothers, all of them are adopted. (Also, Tim eventually starts taking Bard and Beastkeeping classes, while Danny starts taking Potions.)

Daisy: If my decision to make Basira Willow hasn’t tipped you off, Daisy is Hunter—the Golden Guard of the Emperor’s Coven, praised as a teen prodigy yet possesses no magical talent of her own. She’s loyal to the emperor and genuinely believes in everything she’s been taught, and she is absolutely horrible at expressing any emotion other than smugness or anger, believing fear and sentiment to be weaknesses and being deathly afraid of being perceived as anything other than strong. Daisy is a very vulnerable person underneath her hard exterior, and she can be incredibly soft with people she cares about… though, of course, she’s not given much opportunity to connect with anyone outside of the castle, or inside, for that matter. In the canon of TMA, Daisy is a truly fascinating character to me, and I knew that the only character she could feasibly be is Hunter—hey, person who did bad things for a cause they believed was just and had that illusion stripped from them, meet other person who did bad things for a cause they believed was just and had that illusion stripped from them. And they both love wolves. So, yeah, she’s a very traumatized child soldier who makes the gradual evolution into a protective big sister friend and a disaster lesbian.

Sasha: I had to make her Vee. I had to. Even if you take away the whole fact that she was NotThemed and how similar that is to the basilisks, the fact that she was almost made the Archivist makes her perfect for that role. Her general story is pretty much the same as in canon—she’s a basilisk who was created in a lab for the purpose of studying magic draining and ran away to the human realm, falling in love with it almost as soon as she arrived. Once in the human realm, Sasha develops a love for computers and manages to make friends with the people she meets at the camp (I’m not sure who they are yet, though I’m leaning towards making them Sam and Colin—Alice already has a role), and when she and Jon actually have a chance to meet, they almost immediately bond as siblings after the distrust and animosity is thrown out the window. Also, Sasha’s existence helps Jon finally fully connect with his grandmother, so… bonus!

Oliver: He’s Raine. As much as I love Doorkeay, I have a different role in mind for Micheal, and Oliver’s dynamic with Gerry as two gorgeous witchy goth men connected with The End is something that I’d love to see more of. Anyways, um… so, Oliver and Gerry’s story is pretty similar to canon—they met when they were in high school, were best friends from that point on, and eventually started dating, though they broke up due to Gerry being tight-lipped about the curse and Oliver eventually making the decision to join the Bard coven. Oliver didn’t start being a rebel leader right away, though, since he initially believed that the best way to fix things was by changing it from the inside, but after years of that not working, he finally caved and started the BATs. He’s very practiced at pretending that he’s just an unassuming workaholic, and he often claims stage fright in order to continue operating under the radar. Oliver’s a smart dude.

Trevor: He’s… well, he takes the position of Eberwolf as the Beastkeeping coven head, but he also acts as Darius for a lot of the story beats—mostly because he takes the role as Daisy’s actually decent paternal figure. Trevor comes off as an old grump who doesn’t like people or fun, and he’s seen many a Golden Guard die in his time as a head of a coven… so, when he sees Daisy be rebellious for the first time in her life, his wolf dad instincts kick in. Not quite sure where Julia fits in yet, but she’ll fit in. Somewhere.

Jane: Terra. She has to be Terra. Gross plant woman who pretends to be sweet but is actually psychotic. She’d definitely suggest turning children into mulch as an apt punishment for failing a small challenge.

Nikola: Same deal, she’s Adrian. She can’t be anyone else.

Peter: He’s in the position of Odalia—an antisocial yet jovial businessman who reeks of old money. He also deals in security and weaponry, though he primarily uses oracle magic instead of Abominations, and he’s very interested in studying the effects illusion magic has on the mind. Of course, he can’t actually practice illusion magic, so he has to turn to other avenues for research… such as adopting three gifted illusionists. Needless to say, Peter is not a good parent by any measure,  and he kind of holds the fact that he adopted his sons over their heads so they don’t step out of line. Unfortunately, the kiddos don’t have an Alador equivalent (as far as I’ve decided), so the only person they can really go to outside of each other is Peter. Not a good environment, really. And it’s definitely complicated by the reason why their dad has all this standing and power, beyond just the family connections…

Elias/Jonah: So, he is in Belos’s place as the emperor who’s secretly a human witch hunter, but his motivations aren’t the same. Rather than planning on killing witches simply because he hates magic, his intention is to drain the magic from them and take it for himself—well, for humans, but mostly himself. Elias is also a lot more… shall we say, lax about interacting with other witches, which is why he has zero qualms with having an on-again, off-again relationship with Peter Lukas. And several other men throughout his time on the Isles. Yeah, Philip may be too deep in a Puritanical mindset to claw his way out of Narnia and admit that he’s not straight, but Jonah is a harlot and that’s a part of his character that stays constant. I’m not gonna go into his backstory, for spoiler reasons, but I will say that Gwendolyn is a Caleb equivalent, and Alice is her Evelyn. I’m riding on the Dyhard train and you can’t stop me.

Micheal (Distortion): And last but not least, I couldn’t make our boy Micheal anybody other than The Collector! I know that technically, he and Helen are kind of the same character, but she just doesn’t have the silly vibes that he does. All I can really say is that his story is… well, it matches up with in canon, except he’s more of a preteen than a kid. We know so little about Collie’s past outside of the events that led them to be trapped, and what we know about Micheal himself—pre-Distortion, of course—is equally as murky and unclear, so… yeah. He’s a funky neon star kid who originally manifests as a funky shadow kid.

Putting my writing hat back in the ring!

I went on a hiatus from my writing for nearly a year. But I am finally in a place where I feel comfortable enough to write again! I have many incomplete projects that I still feel passion for, so hopefully I can start posting them soon.

What's to come? None of them have official titles yet, but here is a current word count for them and a small sneak peak of (nearly) each fic! Below will be Danganronpa and The Owl House (including my Human AU). I also have Naruto fanfic ideas, however those have yet been started.

Stardew Valley inspired, Farmer Taka centric - Total words so far: 4.8k

“I’m kind of, like, clairvoyant.” the man shrugged, though Taka highly doubted the statement. “I had a feeling your fate was intertwined with mine the moment you stepped on the bus, dude! I’m Yasuhiro Hagakure, but since we’re going to be neighbors you can call me Hiro. Pleasure, my guy!”

The driver- Hiro, as they had just been introduced, stuck out a hand towards Taka, his eyes were still glued on the road. Taka took it firmly, a smile on his face. “It is lovely to meet your acquaintance, Hiro. My name is Kiyotaka Ishi–” he hesitated, mouth left open like a fish and hand gripping a bit tighter on the other. “Ishido. However, you may refer to me as Kiyotaka.”

“Right on.” Hiro took his hand back, not questioning Taka’s momentary panic. “We should be pulling up to the bus stop soon. I can show you where the mayor is and he’ll take it from there. Chill dude, but real stern.”

“Hold the fuck up,” Fuyuhiko paced the living room along side Taka, hands behind his back and eyes staring at the ground. “so you’re saying you had sex with some random bitch when you were out doing what- the fuck- ever, and now you have a Goddamn baby?”

“Yes, Kuzuryu. That is quite literally what I told you, disregarding your distasteful words.”

“Now’s not the time to be smart with me, Ishimaru. There’s a baby in your house, and its mother is nowhere to be found. What are you going to do with it?”

Taka huffed and bit his lip, picking at his fingernails. He was making his cuticles bleed, but he could hardly put in the effort to care, “I would appreciate it if you stopped calling her an ‘it’.”

“Ishimaru!” Fuyuhiko stopped his pacing to grab the front of Taka’s shirt, making him look down at the short man, “Stop harping at me! What are you going to do with the Goddamn baby?!”

The Owl House

He's a Bit of a Fixer Upper inspired, Huntlow - Total words so far: 1.1k

“No,” Amity crossed her arms, “I’m being honest. Hunter,” her voice got lower, as if trying to keep what she’s about to say a secret, “uses the bathroom in the woods, Willow. Isn’t that gross to you?”

Willow frowned and shifted her eyes towards Vee, as if trying to think about a situation that Amity might know that from. When realization hit her, her eyes creased amusingly, “Amity, all boys pee in the woods. Gus does it all the time, too. I’m pretty sure they’ve gone together before.”

“I used to, too!” Luz announced as she came back, having heard Willow in the hallway, “When you gotta go, you gotta go!”

Luz sat back down next to Amity, who wanted to gag, “You can’t be serious, that’s so disgusting.”

Her girlfriend wrapped an arm around Amity’s shoulder, “I don’t do it anymore, but there’s nothing wrong with Hunter peeing in the woods.”

“Can we stop saying the word pee, please?!”

How Lumity got together, once upon a time - Total words so far: 1.4k

Luz, the ever perfect tattoo apprentice to Eda Clawthorne, a well known (famous, Luz always says, even if it might be infamously so based on her rather anarchist personality) artist all across the coastal county, agreed to watching the Clawthorne-Whispers family dog today so that they could have a grand ol’ time at the carnival.

“I’ll go the second day.” Luz had said, waving off Eda’s question on if Luz would be able to make it. “No big deal! It’ll still be there!”

Well, yes, the carnival will still be there. But Amity would not be.

“Vee.” Luz whined, sitting up on her knees and interlocking her own fingers together to plead with her twin. Vee sighed and put a hand on her hip, cocking her knee out to watch the groveling comfortably. “It’s for love.”

“What about my lovelife?” Vee argued, raising an eyebrow with challenge. “You think Masha’s going to give me another shot if I blow this off a third time?”

The previously teased birthday celebration for Hunter - Total words so far: 2.7k

“Steve sounds cool.” Willow commented, letting Hunter know that she was there, and she was listening to him.

“He was.” Hunter agreed. “I hadn’t seen him in years. I think he moved back home, I don’t know.”

“Have you tried to reach back out?” Willow asked, suppressing the yawn that wanted to leave her mouth. She didn’t want him to see that she was tired, not yet. “What’s his last name? Maybe he has a Facebook.”

Hunter stared at his bedsheets for a few moments, thinking so hard that Willow was sure that there was smoke coming out of his ears that weren't visible through the phone camera. “I… can’t recall.”

“Really?” Willow teased, a smirk spreading across her face, “but you remember everything.”

Hunter didn’t smile back, which felt like a weight on Willow’s stomach. Okay, so this wasn’t a good moment to mess with him. Maybe he was more vulnerable than she thought right now. She wished she could take it back, “I don’t remember a lot from back then.”

Happy 1st Anniversary To The Owl House

I got into the show/fandom late,after Lumity has gotten together in KKKOHD, binged through the first season while on vacation and fell I love with it quickly! Lumity,Lilith,everything about the show I loved! Binging until Yesterday’s Lie officially aired and that was my first hiatus of the show. I did not know what was coming.

I know the finale is kind of mixed, and yeah there were some things they could’ve added or maybe done better at. The hexsquad needed more lines..We needed to see Caleb and Evelyn. But I still adore the final and cry everytime I rewatch it.

I made so many new friends through this show, my mutuals,my friends in here, from other fandoms that migrated to TOH, I love each and everyone of you and I’m so grateful to know all of you. Thank you Dana, for this amazing show and all the writers and crew and cast, thank you Elijah for your reactions that fit me into TOH in the first place. @not-so-average-fangirl.

Oh that's so cool!!! Rollo really is just Scaramouche with white hair and less trauma. I was lucky to be able to play Genshin for so long, but I don't think my phone can run the latest update now (but it really tends to overheat if I'm not careful, great for playing during winter nights).

THE POWERFUL SCARAROLLO (I could say Scafrollo, but no Fs for Rollo...) Anyway, I love this combination, great job!!

Crewel making all the Overblot outfits would make so much sense, and Vil would totally say that to himself, he may be about to have a mental breakdown, but he'll make sure to look good while at it!

Also we were robbed of a Book 7 finale moment where Rook started monologuing about each overblot transformation. Just them opening the twst app and there's a chibi Rook praising their outfits...

Guys, I love the heartslabyul dream arc and I understand they probably did the order for plot reasons so they could have certain characters in some dreams and not in others but like… THE CHARACTERS NAMES ARE 1234 AND YOU DID THE DREAM ORDER AS 2413!!! WHAT?!?! On that note actually, why is Trey named Trey and Cater named Cater? Because rank in the dorm wise we have 1 and 2 as the freshmen and then you would think that the normal junior would be 3 and then the vice housewarden would be 4 but noooo the normal junior is 4 and the vice housewarden is 3. How does this make any sense? This puts the power order at 1243! I’m not saying Cater should have been vice, I’m saying Trey and Cater should have swapped names. Like I’m sorry, your characters names are 1234 and you couldn’t even do us the basic courtesy of ordering them properly?!?! Am I the only one bamboozled by this? (I saw opportunity to use the word bamboozled, I took opportunity to use the word bamboozled. Now I have used the word bamboozled even more times you see.) idk maybe it’s supposed to be weird because it’s Alice in Wonderland or something but come on!!!

Closed Book Chapter 4

Chapter 1 Chapter 3

Author Note: We’re getting into some of that lumity now. Just a bit. I’ve made some assertions about the Blight parents in the last chapter and this one, which I really don’t have any grounds for. This is just how I think they might be, so I’m sure I will be proven wrong in later seasons of the show. Also, the current plan for the rest of the fic is to write and publish one chapter a day until it’s done.

The trip to The Knee was approved, with some conditions.

It almost didn’t happen due to the whole Emira and Ed being grounded thing, but her mother stepped up and convinced her father that it would be fine. Emira wasn’t sure how she had pulled that off, her father was notoriously stubborn, but she couldn’t complain with the result.

The conditions were that the three had to return without a single scratch on them, and the twins had to be unfailingly kind to their sister while escorting her.

Both of those conditions had been broken.

The trip itself hadn’t been nearly as safe as expected. The Owl Lady showing up with the human Luz brought a brand new level of danger to the group. As Mittens had complained once before, the human seemed to attract danger to herself.

Emira, Ed, and the Owl Lady had almost been eaten by a slitherbeast, which probably would’ve gone after Mittens and Luz once it finished digesting them. Luckily, the two kids came through and freed them. Amity used the new fire spell to do it, and Emira made sure to tell her how brave she’d been after. Ed ruined the moment a second later by ruffling Mittens’ hair.

Once the Owl Lady and Luz shot off into the distance, that left the Blight siblings to pack up and head back to town. Since Mittens had control of the spell, she could practice it safely at home with a bucket of water.

They went back to their tent and put all of their stuff back into packs. Once that was done, Ed folded the tent back to its regular size with a spell.

Once that was packed, they picked up their backpacks and set off towards town. The stuff was divided between the three of them, with some extra weight for Ed and Emira. It would take a couple hours of walking to get to town, since The Knee was far away.

“Are you sure I can’t bring the bat?” Ed asked as they started walking away from where their camp had been set up. He paused to look back over the trees, as if trying to spot something.

“You don’t still have it, do you?” Emira stopped next to him and asked with hands on her hips and one eyebrow raised.

Ed stuck his lower lip out in a pout. “No…” He said with a sigh. Emira reached over to pat him a couple times on the arm in a ‘there there’ kind of motion. It didn’t seem to help.

“C’mon let’s go!” Mittens called back to them from the trail a few meters away. She hadn’t stopped to discuss the bat and was now waiting at a distance.

“Alright.” Ed was still pouting as he gave in, moving to join Mittens on the trail. Emira followed, wishing the bat farewell in her head.

“Make sure to keep up.” Mittens said pointedly, looking first at Ed then at Emira as they reached her.

Ed raised one hand in a mock salute. “Yes Ma’am.” He had his usual smirk back in place. Emira followed suit, mimicking the salute.

Mittens rolled her eyes, then turned to set off down the trail. Emira glanced over at Ed and the two shared a chuckle before following.

“Before we get back, I think we need to get our story straight.” Mittens adjusted her bag on her back as she spoke, turning her head slightly so that the twins could hear her.

“Not that that’s a bad idea, but I’m surprised.” Ed sped up a little in order to walk next to Mittens. “Miss goody two shoes, suggesting we lie to our parents? What a twist.” He leaned in on Mittens for emphasis, so she fell a step behind to avoid him.

Emira cut in to bring the conversation back on track. “She’s right though, we can’t tell them that a slitherbeast almost ate us.” She shuddered at the punishment that might bring. Forget one month, they’d be grounded for the rest of their lives.

“We’d never see the light of day again.” Ed muttered, clearly imagining the same thing.

“Exactly.” Mittens said with a nod. “So we need to figure out what to tell them.”

“We should just say that you mastered the new spell without any trouble or danger.” Emira thought keeping it simple would be best. “No need to mention the slitherbeast or the Owl Lady.”

“I’m not sure which would be worse to them,” Ed added, “The Owl Lady or the slitherbeast.”

Mittens brow furrowed at that, her eyebrows moving closer together. “The slitherbeast for sure.”

“I’m with Mittens.” Emira had to agree. “Near death is far worse than covenless witches.”

“I don’t know.” Ed shrugged his shoulders. “That Owl Lady is a wanted criminal after all.”

“The Blight family will not associate with those below us!” Emira spoke loudly in a low pitch, imitating the way her father had said it many times.

“She’s been doing a good job teaching Luz.” Mittens interjected, but a moment later her eyes widened and a slight pink dusted her cheeks. “Or so I’ve heard.”

“Luz cast a pretty powerful spell today.” Ed mimicked the motion of the ice cannon rising from the ground with his hands. “It was weird how she cast it, looked like some kind of rune.”

Mittens nodded. “She draws glyphs, not any I’ve seen before though. I’m not sure how it works.”

Interesting, Mittens hadn’t seemed to like Luz at all back at the library. In fact, she’d been more upset about Luz reading her diary than the twins reading it. But now, she knew the basics of how her magic worked and had even talked about starting a book club together.

“You seem close to her now.” It wasn’t a question, but Emira was watching carefully for Mittens’ response.

A larger blush blossomed on Mitten’s cheeks as she turned to hide her face, far more than could be attributed to the cold. “N-not really. We’re going to be in the same class and I like to know my peers.” The stutter didn’t give her argument much validity. As Emira had suspected, there was clearly more going on between her sister and the human.

“Riiight.” Ed smirked, also not buying it. “Because you totally stop in the middle of training to wave at all your classmates.” Ah right, that was when he buried Mittens in the snow for not paying attention while they were sparring. She had stopped casting spells to wave at Luz. Very incriminating.

“I would.” Mittens insisted, digging one of her heels against the ground as she walked. Thinking back on what Emira knew about her other friends, she doubted it.

If Ed wasn’t part of this conversation, Emira might’ve pursued this topic further. She was quite curious about this new relationship with Luz and with how red Mittens’ face was getting. Unfortunately now probably wasn’t the best time to push the issue, but she couldn’t resist one small tease. “Hey, knock it off Ed. Let Mittens have her secrets.” Emira settled with that.

“That’s right.” Mittens huffed, before realizing exactly what was said and almost squeaking. “No, wait, there’s no secret.” Her eyes were wide as she waved her hands in a dismissive motion, that blush still easy to spot on her face.

“Fine, have it your way.” Ed shrugged and adjusted his pack, agreeing to drop the topic. He quickly bounced back with a new one. “Did you see that spell the Owl Lady used?” He mimicked the arm motion the Owl Lady made when she put the slitherbeast to sleep. “That was so cool, I wonder if we could learn it.”

“I think a sleep spell is part of the healing coven.” Emira mused, thinking about the way the spell was cast with a smaller circle and then pushed into a larger one.

“Oh right.” Ed frowned at that. “Too bad, the potential of being able to put someone to sleep is limitless.”

He was right, putting someone to sleep made pranking or tricking them a lot easier. “We can ask the teacher if there is anything like it in illusions.” Though Emira and Ed were excellent at illusion magic, they didn’t know every spell that existed.

Emira lifted one hand to her chin as she thought about the different spells she knew, trying to figure out if one could be applied this way. The best she could come up with was using the magic to knock someone out by force.

“You’re plotting something again.” Mittens had fallen back to her side, eyes narrowed suspiciously.

It was Emira’s turn to wave her hands dismissively. “I’m not, I swear.” She couldn’t help but grin when Mitten’s eyebrows popped up in doubt. Emira leaned in slightly. “Not yet that is.” She laughed, drawing another eye roll and a hint of a smile from her sister.

“We’ll plan later.” Ed matched her grin, probably already working out how to use illusion magic to knock people out.

“I want no part of this.” Mittens picked up the pace, speeding ahead of her siblings.

“You’ll miss all the fun.” Emira called after her, chuckling again when Mittens looked back and shook her head no.

“I think I’ll manage without it.” Though she sounded serious, Mittens looked like she was enjoying the banter.

Ed and Emira carried on a conversation after that about different illusion spells that might be useful in knocking someone out. They couldn’t think of one that wouldn’t cause physical harm to the victim, unfortunately. Though she walked a meter ahead of them, Mittens was definitely still listening in.

Soon the trio was out of the snow and onto the main road back to town.

Despite almost dying, they had a successful trip.

Chapter 5

Ok. Here we go so buckle up kids!

1. They ignored or forgot the story line. What was the point of drawing SO FREAKING BLATANT MANY parallels between Luz/Hunter and Evelyn/Caleb if you were going to just say "F it!"?! I mean they dragged the freaking thing out into the semi-final episode and made such a huge freaking deal about the Grimwalker and Belos being a Witch Hunter Reveals for nada!

2. So I guess bullying and harassment is ok now? Good to know. I may drop by the Lumity server, who knows. I know two wrongs don't make a right, but the second wrong was the show ignoring this fact and when I have privet messages from people commenting on my fanfictions saying they enjoy them and want to comment but are TOO AFRAID!? You seriously expect me to keep my mouth shut?! Though I probably will not because it'll just give more fuel for their hate, but rants will work nice enough.

3. Not so much as a hand shake or a nod between Luz and Hunter. WTF! You want to talk about ooc! It's pretty damn bad when you do it with your own characters you designed from your own imagination. A line. A. Line. We got a line. Where was at least the friendly  hug after the stuff they went through!?

4. Pro Tip: sacrificing plot and story telling for making a point is the dumbest most fatal flaw ever for a writer. Especially when there were other ways, or you have other ways, you've made your point. Raine and Eda. Amity and Willow. Lilith.

5. Acid Rain? Thats how you kill off Belos? ACID RAIN!? Oh wait..... No sorry let me correct myself.....you kill off Belos by melting him with Acid Rain and then STOMPING ON HIM! It would have been better if you just let The Collector smush him in King's Tide for good!

6. I get it but that fight should have been Luz and Hunter VS Belos! It makes sense but this show goes against everything that makes sense sooooo....yeah. But he could have at least been present there.

7. Where is the romantic drama? They had everything for multiple occasions of romantic drama and nada!?

8. Flapjack's headstone. "Thank you for finding me.", um it was actually Luz that introduced Hunter to Flapjack right? Did I miss something there?

9. Um King's dad's forms didn't match. Am I missing something?

10. They stuck with Lumity. Grant it I really wasn't expecting much given FTF, but I did have a smidgen of hope and to have that yanked out too hurts. I still want to know what Willow did significant for Hunter that Luz didn't do first and want to know what one on one time they got on screen without Gus.

11. So you only gave Hunter Waffles so he could play Flyer Derby and be with Willow right? For some reason thats where my head is.

12. Where the hell was Evelyn!?

13. Human-Titan Hybrid Luz. Sooooo what was the point of gaining Flap's powers and Stringbean if they were going to just do the make-protagonist-a-temp-hybrid thing?

Callum x Rayla (the Dragon Prince): they are… my everything. From their very first interaction I was like… oh. They just balance each other out so well and it’s so much fun to watch them fall in love and grow together even if there have been a few… bumps in the road recently… they are my babies.

Runaan x Ethari (the Dragon Prince): WHERE IS MY SPIN OFF?! I NEED TO SEE HOW THESE TWO FELL IN LOVE! They just… the second Ethari was introduced these two had my heart and I just… I can’t even describe what it is about them that just gets me right there.

Lizzie x Daring (Ever After High): I said what I said. No regrets. Should’ve been endgame. You don’t get it, they get to be their real selfs when they’re with each other! The fucking potential! We only got 5 min in the webisodes and like a few dialogues in the books but they will forever live rent free in my brain.

Zuko x Katara (Avatar): …was this one predictable? I feel like this one was predictable, it just made so much sense with their respective characters, story lines and everything about them was just set up so perfectly but just never paid off. But yeah… these two were PERFECTION, up until they didn’t end up together somehow.

Percy x Annabeth (Percy Jackson): Come on, this is THE ship. I apologize in advance for the person I will become when the show comes out cause I’ll only be talking about them for a very long time.

Luka x Marinette (Miraculous Ladybug): You don’t understand how much I mean it when I say that I will go down with this ship. Luka is just… the cutest? And like… Marinette? Being supported? Being loved? Getting to have someone on her side that doesn’t feel like she owes them anything? Is this a potential OTP? Yes, yes it is.

Inej x Kaz (Six of Crows): I don’t think I have to say anything here. These two are just… wow. They would both kill for each other and… I love that it’s not an ‘I can fix them’ relationship, it’s a ‘I will change and be better for them’ relationship and I just…they are the pinnacle of romance.

Raven x Beast Boy (Teen Titans/Comics): Come on… do I have to say anything else? These two were made for each other! They understand each other in a way that almost no one else can, they both have dark sides that could take them over but they fight it, be it in different ways. And I just… they deserved so much more.

Mateo x Rufus (They Both Die at the End): If you haven’t read this book… it’s one of my faves but you shouldn’t read it unless you’re in a somewhat stable mental place ajajjajajja. But these two were just… ugh. I usually despise insta-love with every inch of my being but it worked so well for these two I just- AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH

Sophie x Gideon (Shadowhunters: Infernal Devices): These two I feel like are underrated in the fandom. Like, come on! In my personal opinion, they have the best love story in Shadowhunters. I’ve loved them since I was 9 and they are just so… they are just so good with each other? I love them. Every single moment of their relationship slaps.

Ron x Hermione (Harry Potter): They invented hesitant friends to friends to best friends to lovers. And they were done so wrong in the movies. Can anyone recommend me fics with them as the central focus? The Harry Potter part of AO3 is a fucking mess and I’ve found like two and I need more!

Luz x Amity / Hunter x Willow / Eda x Raine (The Owl House): How the fuck did a single show give me 3 new OTP’s? I’ve got no fucking idea but somehow they did it. I adore this show, I cannot wait for the finale. All the love stories are just… top tier just… wow. Lumity are the perfect enemies to lovers arc, Huntlow are just… so cute and perfect and of course we have Eda and Raine who are just iconic and IF I DON’T GET A KISS I AM GOING TO-

Wednesday x Tyler (Wednesday): COME AT ME BRO (please don’t), I love when people say they shouldn’t be together cause *SPOILERS* like… this is Wednesday Adams we’re talking about, if anything it makes it better! I love this ship. Their dynamic is just superior to me. Crazy x different kind of crazy? Perfection.

Charles Xavier x Erik (X-men): X-MEN WERE FUCKING COWARDS. That’s all I’ll say about that. I deserved so much better.

Rarity x Apple Jack (Equestria Girls): My fave sapphics, they were girlfriends. Farm girl x fashionista? Fucking genius. The aesthetics and dynamics are just perfect. The heavens open up and you can hear the choir when there’s a plot line revolving around their… ‘friendship’.

Nam-ra x Su-hyeok (All of us are dead): They are just… so fucking precious? He runs towards zombies to protect her and they are both crushing on each other from a distance, trying not to be obvious and it is so cute and so precious and just… I can’t wait for s2.

Stiles x Lydia (Teen Wolf): I’m not watching the movie. I refuse to. These two had 14 year old me in a choke hold.

Barry x Caitlin (The Flash): yes, I’m that person. Seasons 1-4 I still held on to hope. I love these two, just two nerds supporting each other and being THE team. This was truly so much potential.

Jonathan x Nancy (Stranger Things): I swear yall’ if they really redo the triangle next season, I’m going to riot cause these two, their story is so well done in the first 3 seasons and it’s just like… what the fuck ya know?

Lucas x Maya (Girl Meets World): I am so tired… these two were just… so good together, the chemistry, the story line, Maya accepting the ‘bad’ side of Lucas in a way that Riley never did and him just being there for her no matter what ‘I could never hurt you’ I just… why?

Veronica x JD (Heathers the Musical): Listen… hear me out… I know that he was kinda crazy but… they were kind of an iconic duo okay? Freeze Your Brain? Dead Girl Walking? Our Love Is God? Seventeen? Meant to Be Yours? I Am Damaged? Sorry was I… not supposed to ship them after listening to those? I love them. I’m allowed to have at least one kinda-toxic-if-you-think-about-it-ship.

Juliette x Warner (Shatter Me): They created sexual tension. Every single scene slaps and their arc is just perfect and I love them and they are just… they are so intense but in the best way possible.

Post-Hoot for Clouds on the Horizon!

-Rebecca said Kikimora is now in the “Crate Coven”. Cissy added she was “Definitely not drunk”.

-There was a bit cut from the episode; When Luz goes up the flower pillar to meet Amity, Hunter tries to follow and Willow and Gus stop him, insisting he gives them a minute. Hunter asks why and the two explain he’ll understand when he’s older, and Hunter does “But I AM older.” Then when Luz and Amity look back over the balcony after the kiss, Hunter is arguing with Flapjack, “But I don’t understand, I’m the oldest one here!” The scene was animated and voice-acted, everything; But it had to be cut for time restraints. In the final cut, you can still see Hunter trying to discuss with Flapjack!

-Mela thought Kikimora’s demotion was hilarious; She suggested “Not all of our villains are villains, I think some villains are overlooked heroes” with Sarah asking “And Kikimora is a hero to whom?!” In all seriousness, she said that she thinks we can all relate to that moment of the difference between your aspirations and your actualizations.

-After auditioning, Mela didn’t get the news for her acceptance as Kikimora until eighteen months later, being told that they loved her audition; The wait was because they decided to move Kiki to the end of S1 and the season after.

-Mela’s favorite scene is Kiki’s phone call with her mom, with Sarah agreeing it broke her heart. Cissy jokingly asked if anyone in the show didn’t have mommy issues, Sarah joked about Luz’s daddy issues; In regards to Camila wanting her to be someone she wasn’t; “She just wanted me to survive, she just wanted to give me the skills to survive, she loves me as I am, but that wasn’t doing me well in the real world.”

-It’s common for VAs to record from inside their ‘sound-proof closet’, which of course is often very hot.

-Sarah didn’t know Kiki had a mouth until Hunting Palismen, which led to them joke-suggesting that Kikimora could just telepathically communicate to people without a mouth, which would be terrifying to everyone if she was a mind reader. Mela joked that invisalign was a thing in Palm Stings while in elementary, with Kikimora also wearing a turtleneck to cover her mouth. When Sarah pulled up her own turtleneck to cover her mouth, Mela joked she was Kiki’s twin sister, “Blikimora”.

-Shawn Responts did the color design for the Palisman Monster in Hollow Mind. He also did some of the color and lighting on the Lumity kiss scene! He’s been on the show since Mid-season 1, and has done season 3, where he got the promotion to lead the color design.

-Sarah auditioned in 2017, and got her call two months later in June (which is still super-long), Cissy did her audition in the February of 2018, and didn’t start recording until December that year. Sarah auditioned for Luz AND Amity!!!

-In regards to Rat Alador: According to Rebecca, when they storyboard and Alador is in there, he looks a lot like a rat, so they decided to just put in a Rat Alador.

-Cissy joke-suggested that Owlbert and Lilith’s palisman worked together behind the scenes. According to Rebecca, Lilith got to keep her palisman because she needed it to travel back in time; For the same reason, that was why Belos let Luz live.

-Rebecca isn’t sure why Lilith doesn’t have a sigil. Sarah mentioned that when people wondered why Luz’s jacket sleeves got shorter, she suggested Luz just scrunched it up (which season 3 seems to support).

My new favorite the owl house episode is thanks to them!

And here's why: First off I am obviously a lunter shipper. My number 1 favorite episode before this was hollow mind. What can I say I love lunter and I love angst and this episode has it. Has so much of it. It was such an amazingly good surprise!

I honestly thought this episode was going to be just like a typical owl house episode: too much boring lumity that it overshadows everyone and everything else. Luz and Hunter are forced apart even though character wise it doesn't make sense. Forced unnecessary huntlow. Just basically everyone is a background character and lumity is front and center. I am pleased to say there was very little lumity! Or huntlow! We got to even focus on some actual good character lore in this episode. There was so much angst in this episode for Luz and Hunter! But mainly Luz's angst I want to talk about.

Luz this whole episode is basically listening to anti hero and look what you made me do by Taylor Swift on repeat. She is so way downed by her secrets, her trauma, by what she believes is her fault. She misses Eda, King, and Hooty so much. She's depressed, she's angry, and she seems a little suicidal. The only people she really personally reaches out to in this episode is her Mother and Hunter. Her Mother is a given and I'm so happy for those moments with them( and God do I love Camila in this. Her personal arc in this episode was so good, and how we learn more about her and Luz. She is the real Mvp this episode Camila). But oh her and Hunter. It's more so like they are constantly reaching out for each other in this episode.

Them being the only ones who know each other's secrets. It's just perfect! I eat that shit up. Even though they found out each others secrets by accident. I love how emotionally open they are for one another. How comfortable they are with one another. I love how they check up on each other. Make sure the other is ok. I just love how ride or die they've become for one another. This is part of why I ship them sooo much. Second of course is how lore connected this ship is. How much it mirrors Caleb and Evelyn. A Wittebane and a wild witch, a human and a witch, a human and a monster(witches and grimwalkers are monsters and that's not a bad thing. I love monsters) How Flapjack was used as a symbol of Caleb and Evelyn's love, how that mirrors the bond Hunter and Luz have because if it wasn't for Flapjack Hunter and Luz wouldn't have truly know each other ans Hunter's redemption arc wouldn't have started. Basically Flapjack also ties Hunter and Luz together to.

I love the creepiness of Belos in this episode. I love the tiny hints that we see what he's been doing the past few months. Than eventually we get to the climax and my favorite angsty trope happens: mind control!

So basically this is Helos. Belos mind controling Hunter's body. Which he has been doing secretly almost the whole episode. And god the angst is so good this episode. But the unfortunate cost is the much beloved flapjack.

I'm not surprised, I knew a character was probably going to die. And the one they could probably easily get away with without too much backlash would be flapjack. Still it hurts. Belos used Hunter's own body kill flapjack. Which caused Hunter to break control and finally stand up to Belos. Than finally the gang goes back to the demon realm, after of course my last favorite Lunter scene were Hunter's words are what comfort Luz and finally gets her to stop blaming herself:

"That's what Belos does he tricks people. If it wasn't you it would have been someone else. But than we wouldn't have someone to fight back. So let's do that. Let's fight back. Please for flapjack."

Which had me squealing so much! God I love lunter so much. Overall this episode was so good. Good plot, good animation, good music( the background music for when Helos reveals Luz's secret to everyone in the graveyard is so amazing. Gave me chills!) good bit of lore drop and some more information about Caleb, Evelyn and Philip. And so much lunter! So happy!

Owl House "Thanks to them" thoughts.

So I have randomly decided to come back with these and I plan to do it with the other parts as well. So...

AAAAAHHHH!

I love the new intro we got here, not only with new scenes but an amazing extended theme.

We also got tons of new Lumity scenes, with them choosing to go with couple costumes and both of them being there for each other. We've seen a lot of Luz supporting Amity when she was feeling stressed or upset but we got a whole lot of the reverse in this episode. Amity knew how Luz was putting way too much on herself and decided to try to surprise her.

And I adore Luz coming out to her mom as BI in the episode:

Yeah, it was silly and adorable but it was the first time I think I have ever seen the word "bi" (in this context at least) in a cartoon. As someone who is bi and often feels like I'm forgotten whenever shipping is involved, it's so great to see a clear announcement in the show.

Speaking of announcements:

A second non-binary character! It's a bit more subtle but I still really like the crew doing all they can to put these signs out there. Also, we have a name for them and Vee seems to have a crush!

Huntlow, Baby!

As someone who has been a huge fan of this ship for quite a while, it brings me so much joy to see the ship slowly progress and get hinted at.

Willow was so great in this episode, being understanding and kind around Vee with her trauma being a perfect example. She doesn't want to push her out of her comfort zone and is completely nice while doing so.

Hunter also was struggling for a good amount of the episode, with his own identity and what he feels like his own mistakes even if his previous life wasn't "him". This all comes together when Belos possesses him and attacks the group. When Hunter is able to take control, he talks about what he wants, what he truly desires. He finds himself and knows that he doesn't want what he has be taught for so long....but this is not without a sacrifice...

Flapjack sacrificed themselves to revive Hunter, to give him a second chance to become who he wants to be, and a chance to finally prove that he is his own person.

Anyway on a more positive note, some huntlow moments:

Willow winking at Hunter, causing him to blush.

And Willow straight up defending Hunter's...questionable fashion choices.

I honestly can't wait for the next episode and I hope to see you all there.

I've seen FTF and I have many things to say, but the first one is who or what is the figure we see when Luz is in the portal. Many people have say that that is a Titan but... Is it possible?

Where is Alador? I don't remember anyone mentioning him (at least Emira and Ed are okey. Well, almost Okey hahaha).

When they go to the memory class (I don't know the name of it): they just leave Luz's memories there. I mean, wouldn't that be like so dangerous? We don't see in any point that they put them again into Luz's head, so I suppose that would play an important role in W&D (?). I think it would be awesome if we get to see Luz's memory lane (although it is kind of impossible, because, yk, time, plot...).

Also, Odalia deserved that, for being a b*tch hahaha.

Oh, and I loved how Camilla threw the bat after kissing it and splashing Kiki's face. That killed me HHAHAHA

I also wonder what happened with the owl beast when it saw the collector. I mean, it was supposed that Eda had controlled it, but no, and then we see in the credits an image of King and Eda out of control. But it also drags my attention that Lilith didn't get out of control when she was near to the collector.

Oh, and I didn't understand the whole scene in the memory class with Hunter, Willow and Gus. I mean, I didn't get it, like: Willow and Gus were trying to make Hunter more comfortable but they fucked it? Or what?

And now Lumity hehehe. I didn't like so much their relation in season 3 (well, in TtT we got to see them dancing in the rain and a whole PowerPoint presentation with photos of them, I can't complain), but in the episodes we didn't get to see so much of them (at least not a proper focus). For example, the cute scene of both talking about palismen in the owl house: it IS so cute, and Amity kisses Luz's head (awww), but then Luz just don't respond to it and it seems like she doesn't want it? It was so rude :'(

Well, and what do you think was that thing that Luz had to tell Amity just before they were interrupted by Kikimora?

Oh, and I also loved how Amity gets Luz out of the portal by the feet hahaha.

I also think that Stringbean likes, like a lot, Amity? I mean, if you see slowly that scene, you can see how the Palisman rubs softly against Amity's cheek. AND THAT IS SO F*CKING CUTE I'M GONNA CRY.

And the whole Boscha - Amity thing. Boscha was behaving like the obsessed -toxic-ex and that made me even laugh.

Overall, the episode was fun and good, although it felt a bit slow. Many say that is because it's not plot centered, but character centered (and, well, ofc it is, they managed to have like a thousand characters on-screen and develope or end their arcs in a proper way -> I mean, when I thought Amity's arc was over like since season 2 episode 2, now we get a whole vision of Amity's change when in detention pit).

And one last comment. Luz's palisman hatches when she is able to figure out what she really wanted (to be understood), but I think that wouldn't make much sense. Let me explain, for the character is absolutely something that would fit, because we've seen how Luz had struggled with the world in general. But for the palisman itself is sth like "?", Because we've seen that, for example, Amity's desire was to make her own path and that's something that takes a long way (I mean, it's not something that can be fulfilled in an instant), but Luz's desire is now fulfiled because her mother has finally understood her (at least that how Luz feels it). Idk if you get me.

There is a Lot going on here so I'm going to answer it all under a read-more :)

1). I mean, it's either a Titan or it's a Titan Trapper. It looks exactly like them, so I can only imagine they'll pop up again in the next episode.

2). I also think we'll see Alador in the next episode. I think he'll probably be okay, but maybe wounded in some regard. I'm honestly just assuming he's a puppet somewhere right now.

3). Yeah, I know what you mean, but honestly I think that's just a detail we'll have to forget about, unless it does somehow come up in the finale (which I doubt will be the case). It is dangerous to leave the photos alone like that, so... maybe after a certain amount of time they automatically disappear without harming the legitimate memories? Something like that.

4). Odalia's still going to be an issue in the finale, though. Mark my words.

5). Camila was PEAK in this episode. "Kikimiki" murdered me.

6). I don't think the Owl Beast likes The Collector at all, which would track, considering what we know of their experiences with one of them, though it wasn't necessarily this Collector. But Lilith's curse is honestly still more manageable than Eda's is, and I don't think she really has an Owl Beast inside her, just a bit of one, which is why she didn't lose it as well.

7). That scene was the culmination of Everyone's issues, but specifically Hunter's and Willow's. Willow was trying to help by showing him a picture of him being happy with Flapjack, Hunter was touched by the gesture and didn't know how to say it, Willow thought that meant she'd messed up, Gus blamed himself for not talking to Hunter earlier, and they just didn't communicate with each other. It's a really well-done scene and it's heartbreaking to watch.

8). I don't think it was rude of Luz, and Amity didn't either. She's hurting, she was damn-near suicidal in Thanks to Them, and Amity's being Peak GF by supporting her, no matter what. As for what she was going to tell her, it was going to be her decision to leave the Boiling Isles.

9). Episode didn't feel slow to me at all! Just different, obviously, and in a good way.

10). I disagree, actually. Sure, in the moment Luz does feel understood by her mother, but that's an eternal goal, especially if she continues on her path in being a witch (and she will). She's always going to be the odd one out whether she's in the Human or the Demon Realm, and now she knows what she can always work toward.

Is Amity autistic?

In the Owl House fandom, we hear a lot about how Luz is written to be ADHD. Now I would like to present the flipside: Amity is coded as autistic.

Here’s the breakdown.

Amity is touch-averse. “BuT aMiTy ToUcHeS LuZ aLL tHe TiMe” nice try. The key to autistic touch-aversion is only being okay with touch when she initiates it. And that totally matches up with Amity. See, Amity is really happy when she initiates touch with Luz. She’s also cool with it when Luz holds her hand after standing near her for enough time that Amity can predict an incoming touch. That’s because Amity consents to that touch and expects it.

But when other people touch her? She doesn’t take kindly to that. When Luz initially bumped into her at Covention, she snapped at her and degraded her. Even when she bumped into Luz in Enchanting Grom Fright, her initial instinct was to snap at Luz, since she didn’t expect to be touched. When Hooty touched Amity’s face without consent, she flipped out and beat him up. Not even Lilith beat Hooty up when he wrapped her up in his mucus-filled tube, but Amity gave Hooty the injuries we all wanted to see him with, because he breached her boundaries without her consent. Even as late as the last episode, Amity fell over when her face got close to Luz’s on the bleachers, because she didn’t expect it.

Amity stims. Okay, this one took me a while to catch, since most of the time, Amity is very controlled with her actions. This symptom isn’t very intense; her senses aren’t understimulated too often, and she really only does it when she’s really excited.

Mainly, when Luz offered to carry her. While she adorably scrambled for words, she also flapped her hands against her legs. At first I thought it was just a cute thing she did, but there’s more to it. She was so excited to be held by Luz that it showed up in her hands flapping...a common stim. With Amity feeling more comfortable around her new friends than the old ones, I wouldn’t be surprised to see more stimming in the future.

Amity always has The Mask as her expression. You know, the one with her eyes half-lidded, eyebrows raised, mouth slightly downturned. I also call it the Resting Blight Face, for...reasons.

At first I thought it was just a way to hide her true emotions, since her parents are assholes. But even though Luz makes her feel accepted, she keeps doing it. It’s more like...you know that feeling when you’re thinking really hard, or uncomfortable, or ashamed, or even just relaxed, and you can’t think of which expression to wear quickly enough, so you put on an unreadable one to tide people over? Apparently most people don’t do that, since allistic people tend to have expressions for those feelings, ones that arise naturally.

Another symptom of autism is having hard-to-read expressions, or being less expressive. In Amity’s case, it’s the fact that she doesn’t see a need to have an expression in calmer moments, so she just uses her usual expression.   

Amity hyperfixates. This has several facets, so I’ll break this down.

She initially hyperfixated on school. And that’s how she became top student. Amity Blight is who you would mistake for a “gifted student.” But make no mistake...she is not gifted, and gifted is a bullshit label used to overexert people and force them to keep school as their special interest for their entire lives (and I may have a bit of a vendetta against it). Anyways, we already know she’s a perfectionist. My theory is that Amity originally was hyperfocused on school--the Abominations track, to be exact--and that’s part of how she got so good. Then, her focus shifted, but the school expected her to keep being top student. Cue the perfectionism; she was no longer able to focus on school like she wanted to, but everyone expected her to, so she got insecure about it.

She hyperfixates on Azura, just like Luz did. Yeah, she keeps it secret from the world, for most of the time. But she definitely likes Azura a lot. I mean, she started to reconsider her opinion on Luz when Luz offered her an Azura book. She destroyed her jock career because she tried to use an Azura move in real-life Grudgby. Her interest in Azura is long-lived, starting about the time that her interest in school would have expired (which would explain why she stayed closeted). And we can’t ignore the fact that she sees Azura in Luz and is definitely enjoying the parallels between herself and her fictional counterpart. (Which might not be a coincidence, but that’s an entirely different theory).

She hyperfixates on Luz. Yes, part of this is a crush. But a lot of us have watched Amity’s personality go from alpha bitch to cutest little bean in the Boiling Isles, all thanks to Luz’s influence. Lumity is not a rivals-to-lovers speedrun due to bad writing, it’s due to Amity hyperfixating. She’s already extremely introspective, going so far as to keep a diary where she analyzes and makes sense of herself. It’s not a stretch to say that she identified the faults that kept her from Luz and worked hard to change those off-screen. 

Amity keeps a journal. To me, this seems like masking. You see, Amity is what people would consider to be high-functioning, since she can pass for allistic. But in order to do this, she has to put in significant effort on her part. See, when she does something that makes it so she doesn’t pass, she just sees it as a problem (since she probably doesn’t know about autism, and she passes well enough that she would totally be undiagnosed). Then she tries to fix the problem, in order to keep being perfect. 

Amity has awkward body language. Thanks to the journal and other ways of masking, you don’t see this early on. But once she feels comfortable enough around Luz to let her guard down...she completely forgets boundaries. To review: in episodes 15-17, she throws herself at Luz, holds her formal rival’s hand for 24.71 seconds, blushes every time she sees Luz, and loudly declares her thirsty thoughts about Luz in uniform before literally running away. While some of this can be seen as normal gal pal things or crush things...you’d think a repressed wlw like Amity would try very hard not to touch Luz, so as to avoid being outed. Or at least she would do less of that stuff, so as to respect Luz’s boundaries the way she wants her boundaries to be respected. But that’s not the case, since she straight-up misses a lot of social cues. And since she feels comfortable around Luz, she doesn’t feel the pressure to be so paranoid about the cues, and can be her awkward self. From her point of view, she probably sees it as being freed from her parents’ judgment.

Amity takes things literally, sometimes. Now, this doesn’t happen all the time, since she isn’t heavily affected by this autistic trait. But when Luz says “I’m picking up what you’re putting down” and Amity says “I’m not putting down anything” and looks down...she not only missed the conclusion Luz drew from her words, but also assumed a literal meaning from her words. I can’t come up with many other instances of this, mostly because this doesn’t happen often. I would assume that Amity missed these a lot early on, and learned how to mask/identify them.

Amity is easily upset when things don’t go as planned. Let’s review these. In the library, she gets really mad at Luz when they end up stitched to a book, and it takes Luz’s sweet personality to get Amity to loosen up and laugh over it. When she goes to practice magic, and Luz steals her wand and uses it to get her siblings kidnapped, Amity locks Luz in a cage and assumes that she will get badly injured if she tries to fix the problems she caused. When Luz comes to her school, she panics and focus on how that doesn’t change anything. When she burns Willow’s mind, she appears absolutely terrified of being punished, flinching and bracing for impact when Luz finds her near the memories, constantly trying to distract Luz as they work together to save Willow, and hiding behind Luz when she confronts the Inner Willow. When Luz asks her to join her in Grudgby, Amity doesn’t initially agree, instead taking much more of the episode to come to terms with her involvement in it.

Amity likes predictability. She’s not attached to routines, but she does like being able to expect things. If she makes a plan for the day, she expects that day to adhere to that plan, and she doesn’t respond well when it changes. When Luz comes to her school, she focus on how that doesn’t change anything...not how that would ruin things or complicate things. Whenever she gets involved in Luz’s shenanigans, she either gets angry, scared, or takes a while to accept it. In a broader sense, she takes a while to accept that Luz and her shenanigans are a permanent fixture in her life--sixteen episodes, to be exact.

Finally, it would make for some excellent representation. An ADHD Dominican-American bisexual protagonist is pretty groundbreaking. But an ADHD Dominican-American bisexual protagonist girl who dates an autistic wlw witch girl from another dimension is exactly the kind of intersectional representation you’d expect to see from an unrestricted Owl House crew.

...Now, this might just be me hardcore projecting. I’m a little scared to post this because I don’t know how much of this is me reading into imaginary things, or trying to convince myself that Amity is like me. Feel free to debate/disprove me or support me in the comments.
