When Danny was still struggling with his new ghost powers, the weight of his responsibilities, and his renewed fear of his parents, he started drawing as a hobby. It helped him relax. Even after he resolved the ghost problems in his city, he continued drawing. Eventually, he made a career out of painting.

The problem? He had become an incredibly powerful entity, and whenever he drew, he inevitably infused his power into the paintings. At first, he tried not to���but it was impossible—so he eventually began enchanting them intentionally. Practically every painting he created became a portal to a world of his own creation (or to an existing one, if he chose so). However, no one could actually enter them because he sealed them, making them safe to sell.

What he didn’t account for was things coming out of them.

Now, he has to come up with an excuse so the Justice League doesn’t try to arrest him. There’s no way he’s going to tell them the whole mess with Amity Park—if they’d wanted the truth, they could have helped back when they were begging for it.

Danny transferred to Gotham and started chatting with the conspiracy theorists. He was feeling extremely uneasy about this Tim guy. Tim had been the boyfriend of the site’s creator, and while Danny understood that he’d want to be present when one of his boyfriend’s fans came to town—it was Gotham, after all—something about him just felt off. Even after they started a real, face-to-face friendship, Tim wouldn’t leave him alone. He was constantly asking strange questions about Phantom, his parents, his city… and just last week, he even tried attaching some kind of bugs to spy on him. Danny didn’t need anyone to tell him he was being followed home. At one point, he even pulled Bernard aside to make sure that psycho wasn’t abusing him. Fortunately, their relationship seemed fine, but even Bernard couldn’t explain why Tim was acting that way.

Meanwhile, Tim had found the summoning circle for Phantom and tried to activate it—but failed. Apparently, Phantom had marked his soul to reject him outright.

DCxDP fanfic idea: Gotham's romance theory.

Danny is used to the theories circulating on the internet about him. Or rather about Danny Phantom. Anything ranging from him being an ancient god safeguarding some aspect of nature to Phantom being a manifestation of children's mischief.

His adventures with Clockwork and through the Ghost Zone had Danny popping up in various times throughout the course of history. No one could pinpoint when, where, or why Phantom appeared in myths and legends. Some people even argued that those ancient records spoke of another being because Phantom's diction was far too modern.

Danny thought it was a little bit hilarious to witness. He stumbled across a few forums the summer after freshman year and now hosts bi-weekly hangout nights where Tucker, Sam, and he scroll through the post to read to each other the most outrageous ones. Those nights usually end in laughter, so strong Danny's abs ache the next day.

His most recent favorite was the conspiracy theories posted by some guy in Gotham under the username , Bernard'sCookingTheories.

Apparently, Gotham had a "city spirit," a manifestation of a citizen's own will, and it went by the name Lady Gotham. According to the theorist, there were records of Lady Gotham appearing in Old Gotham back when it was known as New Gotham, walking around in a gown of smoke and face always covered by large hat. One would only be able to spot her at twilight, right as the world is bathed in Lady Gotham's darkness, and spotting her is a bad omen.

She used to bring her people good fortunate until her heart grew as clouded as her polluted sky, when Phantom-Prince of the Afterlife- broke her heart.

Danny was honestly surprised by how close Bernard'sCookingTheories actually got to his royal status, but he certainly never had a whirlwind romance with Lady Gotham, ending with him cheating on her. He doesn't even think Lady Gotham exists, but he appreciated the amount of research that the author put into thier posts.

If he didn't know the truth, Danny might have believed the theory, too. There was a lot of compelling proof Bernard'sCookingTheories dug up.

Danny visited Bernard's page, often checking in on more theories that involved the other heroes of the world and Phantom. He decided to make a PowerPoint to show Tucker and Sam at their next Hangout night with nothing but Bernard's blog content.

He clicked on it often throughout the day in those two weeks, hoping for updates on various theories like he was checking for new chapters in a story.

He never knew that Bernard's page was closed watched by his paranoid boyfriend, Tim Drake, who placed a tracker of who visited his lover's page. It was meant to ensure Tim's enemies - like Ra's- wasn’t bothering his civilian boyfriend, even if it was something as simple stalking his social media's.

When he got the alart, he almost threw on his Red Robin outfit in the middle of a meeting until he realized it was just a new fan of Bernard's brilliant mastery of the written word.

He did find it odd that a random guy in Amity Park, Illinois, was looking at Bernard's stuff so often. He wouldn't blame the guy if he fell for his lover's good looks- Bernard was one the handsomest man to ever grace this world , how could anyone not fall for him?- but he never posted a photo that wasn't proof of his research.

Maybe the stranger really liked the context, but Tim didn't think it was a coincidence that this person was in Phantom's well-known stomping grounds looking up theories of Phantom. He followed the IP to the origins, finding himself face to face with the son of the local ghost hunters location.

Well.....he never told Bernard, but he often thought his boyfriend's theories were cute and entirely wrong. However, if he was right, then he was arming Fenton with the means to kill a legend. Who knew what Prince Phantom's destruction would bring?

Not to mention what his undead court would do to Bernard. He doubts they would accept his boyfriend hadn't meant to bring the Prince harm.

Tim has only one choice.

He had to get Lady Gotham and Phantom back together so the powerful spirit would leave Amity Park and be safe without painting a target on Bernard.

Or he could get Fenton to move to Gotham and get away from Phantom.

Hmmm but how?

"Tim! My blog just got this new fan that's been talking about it without making fun of me! He agrees with me! He even messaged me to ask more about local urban legends. Which ones should I send? The one about Brown Bridge Lost Soul Mist or Batman being a reverse vampire? " Bernard practically skips into his outfit, looking utterly delighted. Tim's heart melts at the sight, feeling a goofy smile stretched across his face as his boyfriend babbles and then....it hits him.

"Bernard, how would you feel able opening a museum with me? It'll be all about Gotham's urban legends" Tim says lacing his finger under his chin, and grinning like a cat.

"Is this a proposal? Because my answer is yes"

Tim's grin stretches wider. "Wonderful. I know just who would love to help us set up the museum."

After all, he had noticed Fenton applied to multiple exchange programs at his school. He didn't get a single one, but that at least guarantees he would jump at a chance get out of Amity Park.

Once he was in Gotham, Tim left it up to Bernard to make him stick around. His boyfriend could get Batman to yield to one of his plans—at the time, he thought he was convincing Batman to help him save Tim, not Red Robin. Then, he could get anyone to agree to anything.

While Bernard worked on Fenton, Tim would hunt down Phantom and get him to rekindle his romance with a city's spirit.

Four years after he joined the League, they thought they had become friends with him (they hadn’t), and, believing he was single, they tried to force him into blind dates with other superheroes.

They only assumed he was single because he didn’t trust them with the identity of his lover.

It didn’t help that said lover was extremely dissatisfied with the League’s actions and convinced Danny to tell them the biggest lie he had ever told, even more big of the one about ghosts being able to consume part of another ghost’s soul to gain power.

Danny Phantom and everyone in Amity Park hated the Justice League with a passion. They had pleaded for help countless times, but the League never once responded. Now that peace had finally been restored—thanks to Phantom—the League had the nerve to show up and offer their support.

Everyone wanted to scream at them, but with the Anti-Ecto Acts still in effect, they didn’t dare take the risk. Every single resident was heavily ecto-contaminated, and they had all heard the stories about Batman’s contingency plans for his own teammates. They knew better than to stir up trouble.

So instead, they pleaded with Phantom to accept the League’s offer to join them—just to keep an eye on things. They needed someone they trusted in a position of power. And Phantom agreed.

What no one knew, however, was that Phantom wasn’t an adult—he was only 17. While incredibly smart, he was also mischievous. He decided to be a little shit about the whole thing: constantly lying about his species’ biology, weaknesses, and “life cycle,” even going so far as to pass new ghost laws—thanks to his position as Ghost King—that forced other ghosts to back him up.

The Fentons hate ghosts—they are 100% convinced that they are incapable of any human emotion or empathy. But as scientists, they are also aware that any research can be proven wrong. While they would defend their work with their lives, they can still be persuaded—though it takes a lot of convincing.

In the beginning, they hunted Phantom with all their might, truly believing that he was colluding with the ghosts he captured in order to deceive them. Still, over time, they began to realize that some incidents were practically impossible to fabricate—especially if their own theories about ghosts lacking emotional intelligence were taken into account.

In the end, while they still weren’t convinced Phantom was good, they had to admit he was doing an impressive job protecting Amity Park—particularly when one considered the drastic drop in human crime since his appearance. They had no choice but to acknowledge his usefulness, especially after studying the state of other cities plagued by supervillains and superheroes.

Eventually, they even wrote and published a thesis arguing that Superman, Batman, the Flash, and even Wonder Woman couldn’t compare to Phantom. Ironically, while trying to study him, they ended up becoming his biggest fans.

Danny doesn’t quite know how to feel about this—especially since his parents don’t even seem to realize it themselves.

Danny’s ghost form had changed a lot since he was 14. He had become the Ghost King—the ruler of gods, the eternal protector, the favorite of Time, the savior of the infinite, and so on. As a result, he ended up looking like a mix between a god, an angel, a fae, and an elf. Outwardly, he was stunning. Though he could still appear normal, he inevitably gave off an aura (not a visible one) of pure goodness—like a being who could do no harm.

This greatly helped his relationship with the people of Amity Park, but it made things incredibly awkward when he was summoned by the Justice League in his Ghost King form for the peace treaty. It felt like he was scamming them just by showing up.

Red Robin, in particular, seemed especially affected by his appearance and ended up agreeing to practically everything Danny said.

At first, Sam’s parents were against the relationship—they wanted their daughter to be with someone of status. However, they gradually became more accepting after getting to know Danny better. While they still believed Sam could do “better,” they acknowledged that he was a good person who loved her deeply—and, more importantly, made their daughter happy.

So, although they were genuinely pleased that Damian Wayne had asked for permission to court their daughter, they had to turn him down, as she was already with someone who would likely become her husband. They were far from thrilled when Damian continued trying to persuade her, even accusing them of lying—simply because he had never seen Danny at a gala. Ironically, Danny was the only reason their daughter even agreed to attend those events in the first place!

So when he was discovered with an infant who looked exactly like him, a lot of things suddenly started to make sense. People assumed he had gotten someone pregnant and was struggling to adjust to his new responsibilities. After all, he was biologically male, so the natural assumption when the mother was nowhere to be found, was that he had been assaulted by an adult woman who then abandoned the baby to him.

What they didn’t account for was the biology of a Halfa. He was the mother. And while Ellie was technically his clone, he had to use the DNA of the guy he had his first time with to stabilize her. He just hoped Tim wouldn’t take his absence too hard. But between his life as a vigilante, a student, a mother, and the heir to the Infinite Realm, he simply hadn’t had time for a relationship

"You all disturbed my sleep, so I shall ensure yours is always disturbed!" And they find that once they hit like 30 minutes of sleep, something always happens to wake them up. Rogue attack, phone calls from WE or JL, even just sudden loud sounds or urgent pee breaks. They think that they're already prepared for this, but even Tim is having a bad time at the two week mark. Good news - they've been trying to get the curse removed since the beginning. Bad news - three weeks have gone by and they've nearly exhausted every option. Did you have in mind the plot where Damian Wayne and Danny Fenton—or Nightingale—became friends through violence after the latter transferred to Gotham Academy? Usually, the batfam think Danny is a meta, a clone, a spy, or just a strange fellow, so they start investigating him.

But what if they start thinking the real reason he’s so okay with violence and crime is because he’s an undiagnosed psychopath or sociopath? They’re genuinely scared of him. With Damian, they can attribute his behavior to the way he was raised—he didn’t know any better and had only just started learning to be better. But with Danny?

He’s from a small, boring town without any known rogues, and yet this boy doesn’t even blink while watching people get beaten to death. For him, death is just a new beginning, as he said himself.
