another chaotic monday🌕

back in my role as a teachers assistant. exam season has started and I’ve been trying to catch up on my to-dos but it seems like every time I’m done with one thing another task gets added. by now I’ve started to skip everything that I don’t have to hand in because I simply don’t have the time to do all tasks, which bothers me a lot though. on top of that the depression brain fog is back which is making things a lot harder. things will get better again.

Listen to it over and over again until it is all branded into your brain (must listen in correct order)

Find yourself procrastinating something

Play first song of musical (so in the Newsies example, it’s the Overture)

Get so incredibly hyped because your brain knows that the musical you love is coming after this song that you can do the thing you are procrastinating

How would you describe the art community online and the subcultures within the online art community?

The confusing thing is that the first equation they give [ S(t) = 70t ] is ALSO valid up to t = 6, but they used a "less than" symbol there, which they shouldn't. What this means is, at the precise moment that 6 hours have passed, the snow stops falling, and Mr. Passwater is reaching for his shovel - but not doing anything yet. The amount of snow isn't changing.

So BOTH equations are valid for t = 6, so you can set them equal to each other, and then do algebraic substitution form there.

So at the 6 hour mark ( t = 6 ) with the 1st equation S(t) = 70t S(t) = 70 * 6 S(t) = 420 cubic feet

We can also plug in t = 6 to the second equation and see what happens S(t) = ab⁶

Not very useful on its own, but we set the above two equations equal to each other to get 420 = ab⁶

They also give you info for the 9 hour mark ( t = 9 ), and for this one you do have to use the 2nd equation 25 = ab⁹

From there, manipulate the two equations in blue to do substitution (isolate your a and b variables and plug those into the opposite equation)

I think it comes out to really weird decimals / not good numbers? I can't do it in my head...let me know if that works.

Just got done with the tasks and it was harder than it should’ve been. I’m so tired that I can’t understand shit and I misread the tasks multiple times, which meant extra work…still tired, still feeling poorly. Having to find a new therapist is messing up my mood. Classes continued like they did last week: with my tutor and my classmates dropping transphobic comments. At least I found the mistake I made in one of my math problems…
