It’s the peak of summer.
And there are small peaks coming up in your skin! As the mercury rises, there are rising skin concerns too! The one that inevitably torments us, is that of acne. Small boils that appear on the face and neck to make our blood boil. Tiny red dots, painful big ones, at times appearing in clusters, to make our skin look aged and haggard. They not only create havoc on the skin, but rob us of our entire peace of mind. So how to beat this menace called acne? The answer lies in a simple, regular skin care.
Teach acne a lesson with an age-defying ingredient
When dermatologists tested an extract of the Sacred Lotus seed in skin care formula, the protein repair enzyme, with a rich blend of antioxidants, it had an amazing anti-aging effect on the skin. Clinical tests in the US showed the skin care formula with the ‘Lotus Seed’ extract reduced the appearance of lines and wrinkles, by as much as 50%, and increased elasticity up to 82% over 4 weeks.
The miracle seed is planted in a bottle The miracle is done by the hidden Sacred Lotus seed. So what is the miracle ingredient in there? A protein repair enzyme called L-isoaspartyl methyltransferase (MT) in it.
Thus germinated the idea of AGE-LESS. Though created in the USA, the Age-Less range has been rediscovered and redesigned for the Indian skin. Understanding tropical skin conditions and developing products using the knowledge of Sacred Lotus, was the deepest challenge. Mitchell’s effective AGE-LESS regime for hydrated, nourished skin came in to address the wintry woes. A good daily skin care routine has always remained vital to keep skin clean, hydrated, protected, healthy and glowing.
Tumblr media
Why announce it on skin?
Is your skin follicle clogged with oil & dead cells? Then there’s a chance for acne to pop up, along with whiteheads, blackheads or pimples. The AGE-LESS ACNE+ANTI-AGING REGIMEN addresses what conventional single-use creams cannot. It is probably the ONLY focused trio-regimen, enhanced with Lotus Seed Extracts, that addresses acne prone aging skin.
Experts have found that skin aging typically starts around age 20–25. In our mid-20s, our bodies gradually start to stop producing as much collagen as before, which causes our skin to lose elasticity. Hence, we recommend incorporating anti-aging products in your skincare routine as early as your 20s. You can begin with the basics, such as a gentle cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen. Sunscreen is your skin’s best friend, and should be applied early, and often, as photo-aging is a huge cause of aging in India. Hence we address both issues with our acne reducing and age slowing kit.
Though an estimated 85% of teens get acne, it can last through the teen years and into the early 20s when aging starts. Some older adults may continue to be bothered by it. Many women note that it worsens just before menstruation and disappears during pregnancy.
So, Sacred Lotus Seed is sacred in more than one way! Not only will it help in curing acne, but arrest age from showing up. It’s high time we explore the magic of Sacred Lotus Seed and see it work its charm on our skin.

micro glow up part two⋆.ೃ࿔*:・🧁
Tumblr media
in this post we'll be talking about habits and little ways in which u can improve ur health and appearance without doing anything too drastic. a micro-glow up to stay polished…💬🎀
Tumblr media Tumblr media
LIPS AND MOUTH ;
brush ur lips everytime u brush ur teeth for some easy exfoliation. to make a simple scrub combine sugar with vaseline or coconut oil and just use that once a week or once every two weeks cuz the skin on ur lips is super delicate. wipe it off with a warm wet towel.
♡ chapsticks with SPF are so good
now onto ur oral health and hygiene which is so important to me i think. so first off brush ur teeth 2x a day. ik some people brush between meals but thats too much effort and most times im not in a spot where i can easily just go and brush my teeth after every single meal so i brush my teeth first thing in the morning and before bed.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
furthermore i floss every single day (at night) and i floss every single tooth individually. i use mouthwash every single time i brush and i brush 2x then rinse 2x with water and finish it off with some mouthwash. i also use my tongue scraper in the mornings to clean my tongue cuz bad breath starts on the tongue.
FOR THE BODY ;
sunscreen + moisturizer on ur neck because SKINCARE DOESNT STOP AT YOUR CHIN. show ur neck some loveee. the skin on ur neck is super duper delicate. make sure to exfoliate ur skin 1-2x a week. use one of those exfoliation gloves or an african net sponge to be super duper clean and baby soft.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
u dont wanna over exfoliate ur skin though so make sure not to do it every single day consecutively. if u shave make sure to exfoliate ur skin before hand and use warm water to soften the hair before u shave it. moisturize after with a body oil or butter.
ARMPITS ;
use the panoxyl 4% wash underneath ur arms every now and then to kind of "reset" under ur arms and get rid of odor entirely before u wash. use an antiperspirant deodorant and if u find that u sweat a lot, carry ur deodorant with u so that u can feel secure 💗
NAILS, FEET AND HANDS ;
nail care routine : gently scrub the area around ur fingers and nails → file nails → massage cuticles with any nourishing oil → finish off with some hand cream
nail dip : warm water + olive oil + lemon juice (soak for 10 minutes)
oil nails to prevent breakage
baby oil as cuticle oils + vaseline around cuticles to seal in moisture
use hand creams that have SPF in them especially if u drive cuz ur hands are gonna be directly in the sun while u drive and that can cause WRINKLES. (dont worry about this though if ur still young cuz its not for u to worry about rn) just something to note for the future.
dont neglect ur feet either. make sure that ur washing ur feet and using an exfoliator to keep ur feet super soft and pretty. invest in one of those feet soaker thingy's. i have one and i give myself pedicures every two weeks and it has made a WORLD of a difference. ur feet are carrying u all day so make sure to show them some love.

Skincare step 1: cleansers
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Gentle cleansers are like a soothing hug for your skin, delicately washing away the day's impurities without stripping its natural oils. Incorporating a gentle cleanser into your skincare routine is essential for maintaining a healthy and radiant complexion. By choosing a mild formula, you're not only showing your skin some love but also ensuring that it stays balanced and nourished. So, embrace the tender touch of a gentle cleanser and let your skin glow with happiness
Tumblr media
I personally have normal-sensitive skin so I choose to use gentle cleansers. I love Korean and Japanese skincare products, and I really enjoy the brand Cosrx I've used them for years and I've never had a bad experience with their products. I'll be doing more posts about in-depth and high-end products you can add to your skincare but for today my suggestions are basic but reliable cleansers
(I will be also doing an overall full-step skincare routine for glass skin as well as individual step-by-step posts soon💋 ) Direct links for all product recommendations are available on my pintrest located on my seriousskincare board

@imfrom_global Rice Whip Facial Cleanser Review
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I received this product for free from Picky and I'M FROM in exchange for my honest review.
The I'M FROM Rice Whip Facial Cleanser is a gentle, foam-based cleanser that effectively removes impurities while maintaining the skin's moisture balance. Infused with rice extract, it helps to brighten and soften the skin, leaving it feeling smooth and refreshed. I love its creamy foam texture, which cleanses deeply without stripping the skin of its natural oils. However, those with very dry or sensitive skin might find it slightly drying, though it’s generally well-suited for normal to oily skin types.

micro glow up part one⋆.ೃ࿔*:・🧁
Tumblr media
in this post we'll be talking about habits and little ways in which u can improve ur health and appearance without doing anything too drastic. a micro-glow up to stay polished…💬🎀
Tumblr media Tumblr media
DRY SHAMPOO ;
dry shampoo helps with smell and reducing oil and all in all just a rly super useful tool that i hope we're all taking advantage of! so to use it simply divide ur hair into sections and shake the canister before application.
make sure that u hold it at least 10-12 inches away from ur roots. and then just brush it out and voila. just get the dry shampoo that matches ur hair color. so for me i have black hair so i'd purchase a dry shampoo that is designed specifically for dark hair.
WRAP UR HAIR AT NIGHT ;
create a protective barrier around ur hair at night to prevent frizz. with things like silk wraps and bonnets etc. treat ur hair LIKE A BABY. be super gentle to it so it can be soft and moisturized. if ur hair is more coarse or thick use the dominican tubi wrap.
CHOOSE THE RIGHT SHAMPOO ;
so theres a difference between ur everyday shampoo and a CLARIFYING shampoo. a clarifying shampoo is simply more of a deep clean so if ur using a clarifying shampoo EVERY single day you'll find that ur hair is lowkey straw-like and thats not the move.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
clarifying shampoo is a super deep cleanse for ur scalp and u shouldn't be using it every single day…💬🎀
furthermore using a scalp scrub once a week or two weeks to stimulate ur scalp is rly rly wonderful. to just kind of do a deep clean of ur scalp and stimulate blood flow which can also help hair growth.
IF YOU HAVE ACNE ;
i used to have bad acne so i think im qualified to talk EXTENSIVELY on this subject but i won't make this section of the post too lengthy but i think these tips are valuable if ur struggling with acne…💬🎀
♡ invest in a pimple popping tool kit
u can literally get these off of amazon and u can learn to use them via youtube but as long as u store them properly and use them properly u can get rid of whiteheads and black heads safely and most effectively.
when doing an extraction wash ur hands and the area that ur about to extract from to make sure u have a super clean base. also make sure to soften the skin with a warm washcloth before starting. i've found that it minimizes pain.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
hot tip : warm water opens pores and cold water tightens pores which is why when doing an extraction its important to use warm water and when ur done wash with cold water…💬🎀
♡ use blotting papers if u have oily skin
♡ invest in adorable and effective pimple patches
THE IMPORTANCE OF FACE MASKS ;
make sure to understand ur skin type/skin concerns before committing to a specific face masks. for example if u have more oily skin use a clay mask once or twice a week, if u have dryer skin go for a hydrating face mask. i rly rly LOVE sheet masks.
ALL ABOUT BROWS ;
wash ur brows with a gentle cleanser and make sure to keep them groomed cuz it makes ur eyes look bigger and gives u a more rejuvenated look. plus it makes u look very clean. dont forget to wash ur brows because washing them stimulates growth + prevents ingrown and painful pimples within or around ur brows.
ALL ABOUT EARS ;
DONT OVERLOOK UR EARS. make sure to clean in and around ur ears. like when ur showering just take ur finger with a little bit of gentle cleanser and just clean the shell of ur ear, the lobe, behind ur ears etc. do this on a daily basis. it literally takes 2 seconds.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and to clean ur ears DONT use a cotton swab. ik it feels rly good sometimes but what it does is just push the wax back into ur brain or whatever so instead take a cotton ball and soak it in some warm water, hydrogen peroxide and mineral oil and just tilt ur head to the side <- so that the opening of ur ear is facing up and hold for about a minute and then tilt ur head back and let the fluid drain out.

Skincare brands are a bunch of misogynistic bullshit. They sell the idea of "perfect skin" as the goal, of which their idea is unachievable for most people and they know it.
Taking care of your body shouldn't be mixed in with all these weird standards... I have naturally oily skin and am prone to acne, especially at a certain point of my cycle (hormonal acne?? Idfk) and it would make my skin picking urges worse + they were painful. My doctor prescribed a topical clindamycin and i got otc niacinimide and it seriously reduced my acne and picking urges by consequence and all that.
Anyway that to say, wearing sunscreen is great, not because of the Horrific idea that you might look older if you don't wear it, but because it prevents burning and literal cancer. Retinoids (including retinol but there's more than that) have medicinal purpose, since they increase cell turnover in the skin (usually used for acne), but most people like it for getting rid of fine wrinkles, which is medically unnecessary. Vitamin C can help repair sun damage and heal your skin faster if you get a cut or acne or whatever else gets through your skin, but it's used for... you guessed it, getting rid of dark spots and wrinkles. Hyaluronic acid improves skin hydration which can help with ezcema and conditions like rosecea, but its used for... wrinkles. Moisturizing your face can help improve your skin barrier, you know, that thing that keeps particles and bugs and bacteria from entering your body. But why is it touted? So that your skin LOOKS bouncy and so that you dont DARE look old one day.
Like all of these ingredients have use beyond cosmetic, a lot which are used for medical conditions and specific, solvable (or managable) problems. Almost no one needs a routine with all of these items, but taking care of an issue of which there is an easy chemical solution to shouldn't come packaged with all of these sexist messages that you must be keeping yourself pretty and young looking all the time.
I just feel like these things shouldn't come with pretty packaging and promises. In an ideal world, they should be packaged like an otc medication with dosage and use case info, to be used by people who will actually benefit from them instead of people on instagram with a blurring filter on who tell people if they don't slather 7 different products on their face every day and night they might look their age.
Buying one product you need once and using it until it's gone isn't expensive, what's expensive is buying entire skincare routines you were shamed into getting and stopping using it the next day or week or month because you never had purpose for it in the first place, then starting that over again once you see an influencer talking about a new one... it's so pointless. It exists to get people to spend their money.
Idk I wish we could just take care of our body for the sake of taking care of our body.

🌿 Natural Glow: Clinique’s Brightening Essentials✨
🚫 No More Spots: Your Path to Clearer Skin🌟🌟
Dark spots, also known as hyperpigmentation, can be a source of frustration for many individuals, affecting confidence and self-esteem. Fortunately, Clinique, a pioneer in skincare innovation, offers a range of products specifically designed to target and diminish the appearance of dark spots. In this comprehensive guide, we explore Clinique’s dark spot solutions, providing expert insights, effective treatments, and home remedies for achieving a luminous, even-toned complexion.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Clinique Expert Tip: Dark Spot Removal Use a dark spot corrector, such as Clinique’s Even Better Clinical Radical Dark Spot Corrector + Interrupter, twice daily to target stubborn discoloration and promote skin renewal. Apply sunscreen with broad-spectrum protection daily to prevent further darkening of existing spots and protect against future sun damage. Incorporate gentle exfoliation into your skincare routine to remove dead skin cells and encourage cell turnover, allowing dark spots to fade more quickly. Maintain a healthy lifestyle by eating a balanced diet, staying hydrated, and managing stress levels, as these factors can impact skin health and contribute to dark spot formation. Consider incorporating brightening ingredients, such as vitamin C and niacinamide, into your skincare routine to help lighten dark spots and improve overall skin tone.
Home Remedies for Dark Spots: While Clinique’s products work wonders, consider complementing them with natural remedies: 🍋Lemon Juice: Apply fresh lemon juice to dark spots using a cotton pad and leave on for 10–15 minutes before rinsing off. Lemon juice contains natural acids that help lighten hyperpigmentation and brighten the skin. 🍎🍺Apple Cider Vinegar: Dilute apple cider vinegar with water and apply to dark spots using a cotton pad. Apple cider vinegar helps exfoliate the skin and promote cell turnover, reducing the appearance of dark spots over time. 🍯Honey: Massage raw honey onto dark spots and leave on for 20–30 minutes before rinsing off. Honey is known for its moisturizing and antibacterial properties, making it an effective natural remedy for dark spots. 🌿Aloe Vera: Extract fresh gel from an aloe leaf and apply it to dark spots.
Say hello to a luminous, spot-free complexion with Clinique. 🌟😊 #CliniqueSkincare #HealthySkin #DermatologistApproved. #CliniqueDarkSpots #ClearSkin #SkincareRoutine #DarkSpotRemoval
