Strength Training vs Cardio : Better for Your Fitness Targets
There is debate among fitness enthusiasts on whether to prioritize strength training or cardio in order to reach their goals. Each path has its own perks, but with so much information available, choosing the best approach can be challenging. Knowing the different advantages and possible drawbacks of each tactic becomes vital as people embark on their fitness journeys. This blog helps you decide which approach is best for your individual fitness objectives by comparing strength training and cardio.
What is Strength Training?
strength training, often referred to as resistance training, this type of exercise aims to improve muscular size, strength, and endurance.
Weightlifting (dumbbells, barbells, and kettlebells)
Resistance Band Workouts
Bodyweight exercises (planks, lunges, pull-ups)
Powerlifting or Olympic lifting
Key Benefits of Strength Training:
Increased Muscle Mass
Improved bone density
Enhanced metabolism
Injury Prevention
Functional Fit
The WC4407 Home Gym is a flexible and efficient tool for strength training. This equipment is appropriate for both home and commercial gyms since it combines creativity and functionality.

What is Cardio?
Cardio, or cardiovascular exercise, refers to activities that increase your heart rate while boosting heart and lung health.
Running or Jogging
Swimming
Cycling
Rowing
High-intensity interval training (HIIT).
Aerobic dance classes
Key Benefits of Cardio:
Calorie Burning
Improved Endurance
Mood Enhancement
Better Lung Capacity
The FR20Z Floatride Treadmill offers a fantastic cardio workout. It is great for achieving your endurance goals due to its numerous features and user-friendly design.

Strength Training vs Cardio for Weight Loss
Weight reduction discussions typically focus around which is more effective. Cardio burns more calories during exercise, whereas strength training builds muscle, increasing your resting metabolism. This implies you will burn more calories throughout the day, even if you do not exercise.
Strength Training vs Cardio for Muscle Building
If your primary goal is to build muscle mass, strength training is essential. It stimulates muscular growth through resistance exercise and gradually increasing loads. Cardio can help with recovery and cardiovascular health, but too much cardio can inhibit muscle growth due to higher calorie consumption.
Comparison Table: Strength Training vs Cardio
How to Combine Strength Training and Cardio
Alternate days
Circuit Training
Cardio After Strength Training
HIIT workouts
Final Thoughts
The question "Strength Training vs Cardio: Which is Better?" does not have a one-size-fits-all answer. In the end, everything boils down to your fitness objectives. Strength training is great for growing muscle and raising metabolism, whilst cardio is better for heart health and endurance. Most people find that combining the two yields the best results, resulting in a well-balanced, effective fitness program that promotes long-term health and wellness.

I think the scariest part about Batman is the loyalty he inspires. Like this motherfucker has an army of children who might at any given time hate his guts, but are still 100% willing to throw hands for him if Bruce needs them to. And then there’s the Justice League, who also at any given time might hate his guts or find him insanely irritating and/or weird, but will also fall in line and listen to his plans if the need arises. And that’s like the most intense form of power someone can wield—voluntary obedience from people physically more capable than them.
#so I don’t hesitate to say bats is the most powerful in the JL bc yes Supes can level a mountain but won’t if Bats says to stand down#and I mean obviously this isn’t always the case there are exceptions#I’m just saying that it happens enough to be a relevant point of discussion#Bruce is a founding member of the JL and he’s got massive influence over them bc of that#+ he raised his kids to be elite fighters and tho they might not LIKE him all the time his kids do respect/love him#It’s not all about prep time for Bats it’s about knowing the strengths of others and being able to exercise his influence over them to—#—achieve a goal#dc#dc comics#batman#bruce wayne#batfamily#dick grayson#batfamily headcannons#jason todd#clark kent#tim drake#justice league headcanon#justice league#superman and batman#batman comics#bruce wayne headcanon

Women's sports are treated as inferior and it infuriates me. Besides just the straight up misogyny of Not Caring When Women Do Things, a big argument for this, so big it's usually assumed rather than stated, is that women are physically weaker. But that's a gross oversimplification.
Just looking at sheer strength: yes, women today are generally weaker than men today. But this is due to social conditioning much more than genetics. Women are actively discouraged from strength training for fear of becoming "masculine," but that's bullshit. Women aren't going to become suddenly jacked overnight (men don't become jacked overnight either, it's so dumb). Plus the idea that women have to lack visible muscle mass to be attractive is itself sexist af. We're also told to limit what we eat and that makes it harder to grow muscle too.
In fact, studies show that men and women grow equal amounts of muscle mass from the same amount of training; women just start off with less. Elite athletes show a difference in strength of only 15% between sexes! That's something, for sure, but it's not huge, and that's at the extremes--average men and women would have a smaller difference because of how bell curves work.
Beyond sheer strength, there are so many more factors and skills at work in sports: speed, hand-eye coordination, endurance, reflexes, strategy and tactics!
And then there's the sports themselves. Sports have been designed for men. The rules, the equipment, the strategies. What would a sport look like if it was designed from the ground up for women? What if endurance (which women are better at) was a bigger factor in a team sport? Or what if the equipment was designed for our bodies and not just smaller versions of mens'? Or what if the rules of a martial art took advantage of women's higher proportion of muscle in the lower body vs the top and allowed low blows? I am certain that there can and should be sports that women would be better at than men.

The other day I drew an idea for "what if branded could transform", but really I just wanted to design a dragon. In reality I think you could take the idea way further.

What if you were to take the idea of branded being half laguz way more literally?? Basically I think it would be cool to have more of a half transformation resulting in what are basically monsters from myth and legend. Of course, I continue to have an interest in a story where the branded are the main characters and the heroes so, making them look like monsters but actually be good guys is fun to me!

The first and most obvious version of this idea would be the half human/half wolf (werewolf). I don't think they would lose themselves like werewolves, but they are the most iconic animal human hybrid design!

The next most obvious design would be half human/half bird (harpies). I think its important to really push the animal aspect and not just make them sexy sexy mostly human things. I think it would be fun to explore the design differences between hawk harpies, raven harpies, and heron harpies.

The cats are the hardest ones to design imo because there aren't that many human/cat hybrid monsters in mythology that aren't also mixed with even more animals. Its probably fine to just follow the example of the wolves and do were-cats though. Still cool!

For dragons I actually think there are a couple different directions you could go in. For this idea I basically went with your standard high fantasy/DnD demons and devils. There's only one half dragon in Tellius but this is another case where it would be really fun to design different looks for red, white or black half dragons since the ones we see in canon have slightly different builds and horn designs plus the different skin colors. (I would go with different skin colors like tieflings. The whole idea is for them to look like monsters and I think dragons should be scary!!)
The other idea I had would be for half dragons to be oni? Basically the same design sensibility but you would lose the wings. My reason for this idea is because oni are cool dragons in Tellius are kind of seen as this terrifying force of nature that could destroy everyone if they wanted to, which is kind of what oni are as well. I think it could work nicely.
#oni would be more strength based since dragons are implied to have more physical strength than other tribes#while demons would have super magical ability inspired by soren having super magical abilities#this is more of a character design exercise than fire emblem art really lol#tellius#fire emblem

Hi lanny! Could you provide a guide on how to get into working out? 💗💖
GUIDE TO STARTING TO WORK OUT
hi lele 💝☀️ hope this guide helps you w your journey!!
The first step to working out is setting goals related to exercise, not physical appearance. Avoid things like fat loss, muscle gain, smaller waist, bigger glutes and so on.
While you can make this a separate goal, the reason why I don’t want you to associate it with exercise is that we then allow the way our body looks to dictate whether we believe the exercise we’re doing is good enough.
Exercise and body aesthetics are two different things. Exercise is a means of nourishing our body, soul and mind, while body aesthetics is how ‘good’ our body looks.
On that topic, I want you to stop focusing on your physical appearance when starting to exercise and I want you to start implementing a new mindset shift about your body. Instead of seeing your body as something to look at, appreciate it for what it can do.
For example, your hands create meals, hug your loved ones and help you with essential tasks. Your legs help you to get around, especially to your favourite places. Your stomach helps with digesting all the yummy food you eat.
Some goal ideas:
Lift 15kg+
Be able to do a plank for more than 5 minutes
Learn how to do a push-up
Be able to run on the treadmill for 30 minutes
Gain more stamina and exercise for longer
Moving on, set a time each day in which you prioritise exercise. This can be for however long you want and the times can vary daily.
So, during this period, you are not allowed to do anything else other than exercise. It doesn’t even have to be a specific exercise either, if you’re feeling lazy and laps walking around the house is what feels best, do it.
However, avoid obsessing over working out and losing yourself to exercise. This kills motivation, in exercise starts to feel like another obligation in the day and not a privilege.
Now, you have to choose what exercise is right for you. I don’t believe you’re limited to one exercise, if you want you can have more than 1.
Gym – Perfect for a mix of strength and cardio, however not the best option if you want to exercise for free.
Yoga – Tones muscles while also being a mindful experience. Low low-impact, but recommend doing it after cardio.
Cycling – Tones the legs and the glutes, but cycling may not be the best idea depending on where you live.
running/jogging – Strengthens muscles and bones, however, if you don’t have flat areas, may not be the best idea.
Pilates – Improves flexibility and tone, while still being low impact (still may be challenging).
Weightlifting – Makes you stronger and boosts your metabolism, best done at the gym.
There are plenty of ways to exercise that I haven’t mentioned here, but these are just ideas so you can research the ones that suit you best.
I recommend talking to a doctor if you haven’t done exercise in a long time, as that can open up the possibility of injury.
Then, once we have our goals, times and what we’re doing, we need to exercise. Implementing exercise in your life is best done slowly.
Start with simple, and smaller versions of workouts, even if you think you can do more. Do this for about a week, then try to extend yourself with something harder. If it is too hard, don’t be afraid to go back a step.
Make it fun, create a motivating exercise playlist or watch your favourite TV show while doing it.
However, the main thing about exercising is that every day you are not always going to feel like it, but that is when we have to discipline ourselves, talk to the mirror and say; ‘Me exercising is a privilege, I get to nourish my body because I love and respect it so much’.
This was the best way I disciplined myself into working out. Treating it like a privilege and something that is very benefical, rather than a painstakingly challenging activity.
Or, instead, you can visualise what you would look and feel like if you continue like this for the next 5 years.

Flexing Strength: Pregnant Powerhouse | In a world where strength knows no bounds, a dedicated individual takes fitness to a whole new level. At nine months pregnant with triplets, this powerhouse is ready to redefine the gym experience. Dressed in a fitted long-sleeve shirt that showcases a proud belly, the intensity of the workout is palpable. Each lift is a testament to sheer dedication, with hands pausing to rub the lower back in between sets. The gym buzzes with energy, echoing the clinks of weights as the challenge unfolds. Nearby, a workout partner encourages and lifts alongside, creating an exhilarating environment. This isn't just a workout; it's a statement of resilience and capability. In a society that often defines strength in narrow terms, this journey exemplifies that true power comes in many forms. More images are also available at https://mpregstuff.com.

here's what i want to say, politely: I am really tired of people [specifically on twitter] complaining about the structure of the expansion draft. what's done is done. but you can still make a competitive team.
However, I do think someone did the math wrong. many people are focusing on how many people teams were allowed to protect, but I think the real math problem was how many the expansion teams were allowed to take.
going into expansion, each team had on average like 12 players' rights [under contract or RFA] with the rest set to become free agents. If you say each team can only lose 3, and you protect the 4th player after losing 2, more of the lower salaried players stay on their team. then, each expansion team ends up with 9 players or their rights, as do the original teams [more or less].
This also means that expansion teams still have options when it comes to who they can select [which is the issue with protecting more people when the number of free agents is so high]. this is instead of expansion teams ending up with 12 and original teams ending up with 8.
then, you go into free agency with every needing roughly the same number of players, and everything can even out.
#I took a class in college called congress#and the first thing we did was#the professor said you have a bunch of people in an area. what rules can you make [assuming everyone follows them exactly]#to get an accurate count of people#assume it was like upwards of 1000 people so you can't just do a head count#everyone still did the exercise under the assumption that they had to be foolproof not that everyone had to follow them exactly#moral of the story is don't make rules with assumptions in mind#and I think the pwhl made these rules with the assumption that most free agents would stay with their teams#and that expansion teams would sign unrestricted free agents in the exclusive period#which they didn't and I said they wouldn't#because why would you waste a spot on someone who would sign with you later regardless#like I said i'm so over people complaining about the outcome#like put your gm to work if you're so upset#but i did want to consider what actually could have been done differently to still keep expansion team competitive#while addressing the albeit moderately clear disparities in expansion team vs original team strength
