“Mh. You’re so warm…” Astarion whispers into your ear, his arms wrapping around you tighter, your head resting against his shoulder as he holds you. “I can never get enough of this… Of you.” 

You sighed softly, choosing not to reply and simply allowing yourself to live in this moment with him. A hug, one that you never wanted to end. 

Weeks ago, you hugged Astarion for the very first time. The vampire was stiff then, unsure of how to react and what to do with his hands… But he returned the hug, allowing himself to melt into your arms and welcome the embrace. 

Now, it’s all he asks for. 

He strokes his hand up and down your back, massaging you through your shirt with lazy little squeezes. His eyes are closed as he inhales your scent, breathing deeply, and allowing himself to indulge in everything that’s you. 

Little kisses across your neck and down your throat, sighs of nothing but content as he gives in to your scent and he sucks gently at your skin. 

You gasp as his sharp teeth nick you, his fangs nudging across your skin, just for a quick taste. His tongue running over the scratch, lapping up the small pooling of blood, his hands now digging into your back as he holds you tighter still. 

Your head rolls to the side, away from him, granting him permission to keep going. Astarion hums and leaves a light kiss against your skin, thanking you without words before he bites down. 

In the night, Astarion would feed from you, his bite careful not to wake you, and not to take any more than he needed. It was a favor, a gift, one that you had no problem giving. 

But now— with his arms around you and his teeth buried into your skin…

This was something else. 

He was treating you like the most precious of glass, afraid that you would break, and that he would be the one to break you. Releasing his bite, he continued to suck, hardly taking any blood at all, only enjoying the intimacy that you willingly shared with him. 

“Astarion?” You whispered, your hands moving from his shoulders to sink into his hair, his hair soft like velvet. 

He pulled back, just for a moment, your blood decorating his lips in the prettiest display of your love for him. “Yes, my sweet?” 

“I love you.” 

Astarion smiled, his eyes closing. He took a deep breath before opening them again, those red eyes of his filled with all of the love and passion that he could hardly contain any longer.

Then he tucked head back into the crook of your neck, holding you still, well into the night.

price "Sweetheart, are you almost done?" your boyfriend asked as he entered the bathroom. You sat on the sink, finishing up your eyeliner and lashes. You opted for darker eyeshadow today and you just added the final touches to your eyeliner. "All done," you smiled as you hopped off the sink. You cleaned up the loose fallout from the eyeshadow and quickly sprayed your makeup with a setting spray. After you were satisfied with your look, you turned to John who was still looking at you, lovingly. Your boyfriend held you gently as he admired the finished look. "You know we're just going to lunch?" he laughed as you walked out of the bathroom. "Doesn't mean I can't look nice," you countered and he turned around to smile at you.

He took a look at your outfit, skinny jeans, and a Hello Kitty crop top, before replying. "You'd look gorgeous in anything," he said softly and kissed your forehead. You smiled as he adjusted your hair back into place after the action. "It just amazes me how much you can do with makeup," he continued to say and you couldn't help but laugh. You walked out to the door and continued your conversation. "Love, you should see me before a rave, that takes me hours to get ready," you began to say and you could see your boyfriend look at you in slight horror, in awe at your abilities.

He looked at you curiously as he picked up one of your finished pieces. "You bring them to raves and you trade them with other people. It's a special tradition," you smiled as he looked back at you, bracelet still in hand.

"Here let me show you," you offered and motioned for him to put the bracelet on. You showed him the secret rave culture handshake, the PLUR (Peace, Love, Unity, and Respect), and giggled as it took him a second to get a hang of it. With your hands interlocked, you used one hand to gently guide the bracelets off each other's hands and onto the other. You swear this was one of the rare moments your boyfriend didn't have anything sarcastic to say as he was too preoccupied with this sacred tradition. "And there you go, now you have a new Kandi!" you said excitedly and Johnny took a moment to admire the bracelet. "You can take it off now," you said as you went back to work. He jumped off the table, to your annoyance, before replying. "Not a chance, bonnie, I'm keeping this one for myself," he said and before you could reply, he was off to another room.

"It's not as exciting as it is applying it," you said but he shook your head. You sighed as he was not going to reason with so you went about your nightly routine. First, it started with removing the heavy makeup with Pond's cold cream and you could hear Kyle laugh as you removed the lashes and began to rub the various running colors around on your face. "You look like a skittle," he joked and if you could, you would've rolled your eyes. Eventually, you were able to wash your face and looked at him for the first time without any makeup.

"You're like a whole new person," he said in awe and you kissed his cheek. "Oh just wait for this," you said and began to take out your neon hair extensions as well as the feathers. Kyle screamed as his drunk mind pictured you removing your actual hair. "Just extensions, love," you said and he calmed down slightly as you put them back in their case. "Now, I just do my regular skin routine and brush my teeth," you smiled and started to go about your routine before he stopped you. "Can-can I part your hair?" he asked and the bathroom was immediately filled with your laughter. "Kyle, I've been doing this for years there's no way in hell you're getting my hair into a middle part." Despite this, he tried his best and unfortunately for him, you were right.

"I'm not going," Simon said stubbornly as you were finishing up tying your top. He had said the same thing all morning and you were indifferent as this wasn't your first rave. "As I said before, Si, it's okay," you continued and stacked the various Kandi's onto your gloved hands. You looked at yourself in the mirror, admiring the neon pink get-up you had purchased. It would look perfect under the black light. You finished checking your purse before you walked to the door. Simon had sat on the couch and was watching as you held the house keys in one gloved hand. "I'm just going to Uber!" you called and for some reason, that sent him rushing to the door and insisting he would take you.

The entire time, Simon stood behind you in an all-black attire, looking menacing and protective. He practically punched someone when they came up to you to trade. You promised him that you would let him know of the general rave etiquette the next time. Despite his initial hesitance, he enjoyed the EDM and the occasional laser light show that made your outfit light up. He smiled to himself as he saw you jump and dance wildly to the beat. "See isn't this fun," you shouted over the loud music and you could see a slight smile on his face. He did have to draw the line when you insisted on having him hold a glowing wand in his hand. "I don't care if it's for the visuals, I'm not doing that." However, you did manage to sneak some Kandi onto his wrist as he held your hand after the event.

When you met Okuyasu, it was a funny moment. You were taking your dog on a walk and nearly dropped his leash when you saw an open garage. He was in a sweat covered tank top, doing bench-presses. The way his biceps would flex every time he pushed up the bar, you couldn't help but stare. He nearly dropped the weight on his chest when he saw you staring and you jumped.

"S-Sorry," you told him, starting off with your dog.

Okuyasu stopped you, jumping up. "No! It's fine. Uh..." He didn't know what to say now that the two of you were standing nearly feet away from each other.

"No," you finally spoke up, your face heating up. "I was staring, I'm really sorry."

"You don't have to apologize," Okuyasu rubbed the back of his neck, his voice soft. "I'm Okuyasu."

He stuck out his hand and you took a step forward, shaking it. "I'm y/n."

"Cool... y/n.... Uh... Are you usually walkin your dog around here?"

You nodded.

"Sick. Well, see you around!" Okuyasu waved at you and ran back into his garage.

You honestly thought that would be the end of the two of you interacting, but you always found yourself back at the garage whether just to visit Okuyasu or just walking by with your dog. You would never fail to stay for a drink at least.

Then meeting Okuyasu led to you meeting his friends too. You became very close to Josuke and Koichi. They were a funny crew.

But the more the three of you hung out the more you realized that you were actually developing feelings for Okuyasu. You wanted him to know, but at the same time, you didn't want to ruin anything if he didn't feel the same way. You were too scared to say the least.

But Josuke quickly caught on.

"Hey, y/n?" He finally was able to pull you aside while Koichi and Okuyasu were ordering some food for all of you.

"What's up?" You asked, your eyes never leaving Okuyasu.

"Are you gonna tell Oku?"

"Tell him what?!" Your eyes finally got off of Okuyasu and met Josuke's.

"That you like him?"

You froze. You knew it was obvious. "I can't." You sighed, putting your hands in your lap.

"Why not? He's totally into you!"

"What if he isn't?!"

Josuke gave you an unamused look. "Really, y/n? Oku talks about you ALL THE TIME!"

"But-"

"I'm not gonna rush you, but honestly, you look like you need to get it off your chest."

You thought about what Josuke said all day. He was probably right, even though you were terrified. The rest of the day went really well though. You all got food and hung out at an amusement park. It was really late when you all decided it was time to get heading home.

"I'll walk you," Okuyasu said as Josuke and Koichi went seperate ways. "It's on the way and pretty damn late."

He locked his arm with yours and you had fun giggling about the day and getting excited for whatever everyone would do together next.

"What about..." your heart was pounding and your cheeks were dusted pink. "What about next time we hang out, it's just the two of us. Without Koichi or Josuke."

"What do you mean?" Okuyasu tilted his head, his blue eyes locking onto yours.

"Like..." you were definitely shaking, but you pushed through. "A date... or something,"

"Me and you... a date?!" His eyes lit up.

"Yeah. We could uh... go bowling or something?"

"A date?!" He threw his arms around you in a big hug, your feet lifting up off the ground.

"Only if you want." You giggled as he put you down.

"Of course I want to go on a date with you!! You're like the prettiest and coolest person I know!!" He gave you a big kiss on the cheek.

The bright red face you got from the question was totally worth it.

but what a fun question! for anyone who doesn't want to read my stupid long explanation for each character i will leave this tierlist here! all tiers (except the first tier) are organised by most to least liked within the tier from left to right

i have plenty of opinions though so i'll go ahead and give some explanations too!! >:D under the cut because there's a lot of rambling here LOL

some of the list is a bit boring because i cant really say i hate or even dislike any characters, and i don't wanna be mean about any characters just cause they're not necessarily my favourites so!

that being said lucifer pisses me off to a comical degree and he absolutely doesn't belong at the bottom but my feelings about him are so ridiculously complicated i don't know where else he belongs? i wish so badly that i could hate him in an uncomplicated way and move on but as an eldest sibling he's such a personal attack on me and i hate it. he's me, i'm him it's horrible. every time i start to think "ahh he's not that bad" he opens his mouth and makes me regret thinking that. i still think about the time i chose to kiss him on the ferris wheel and he held his hand out after and i took it and he said it reminded him of his dead sister, i will never stop holding it against him. he deserves to be loved and taken care of and he also should be thrown off a cliff. im quite certain if i had to assign myself a sin i would pick pride and i hate it >:( (this is all very lighthearted lol)

barbatos and solomon are typically equal on the list i'd say? but the barbatos brainrot is hitting harder now so he gets to be ever so slightly higher this once hahaha barbs is another that took a while to grow on me, not that i ever disliked him or anything but i definitely overlooked him at first! design wise i absolutely LOVE him, his demon form is definitely one of my absolute favourites. the unique but still put together suit?? the ruffles?? the bone wing horns?? ugh he's just very pretty, and SO interesting as well love a calm collected guy who totally has the potential to destroy you if he so wishes but has a soft spot for you

and of course, real shocker im sure, at the tippy top of the list would be asmo and belphie my beloveds <333 i love them both equally and i could never put one above the other i actually started playing obey me for belphie because one of my favourite character tropes is The Tired One TM, and im absolutely not immune to a cute emo boy either. i've grown to really love his sass and the way he hides his manipulative nature behind his sweet and innocent appearance hehe i also do love how ridiculously forward and blunt he is at times, what a silly guy while belphie was very predictable, asmo was a very out of nowhere character for me! i distinctly remember seeing him initially and thinking "avatar of lust?? i guess he's pretty but he'll probably just be the fuckboy character who makes nonstop innuendos and has no character beyond that, and i'm too asexual for this" so i avoided him a lot at first, but i'm very weak for how kind and gentle and charismatic he is, and the way he puts his all into everything and everyone <333 it didnt take long for me to realise that he's almost exactly the kind of person i aspire to be more like

Moondrop (Moon) and Sundrop

- when I first designed Moon (after the game came out) he had a much wilder look to him, especially the face because I was really into the idea of him being simply insane hence the red.

- later when i got back to his design and adding colours I thought that it would be fun to make it Blue and white themed, which I actually didn't see a lot back then

- he wasn't supposed to look human even as a Humanoid, I liked to think that Sun & Moon simply had a renovated body. They are just as much Animatronics as they had always been, robotic parts and everything but with a bit of twist

- So then onto Sun.. the thing is its sad to say but I never explored much with Sun's design back then as much as I did with Moon, so I can't provide a good reference

- although I had a rough idea of how sun would look like I never quite liked the way I drew him, so he's always somewhat been stuck in this unfinished stage

- Then there was eclipse, who was my absolute FAVORITE at that time, I don't think I loved a character MORE THAN ECLIPSE EVER when I was drawing him out

- yes!! It was very much inspired by the 3D render shown here as the ref, though I did make some changes of my own to the design as well

- I had a lot in my head when I was drawing him, but the one thing that I loved most about this design still to thisq day is rhe face. The way I him to look back then was sort of a mix between my Sun and Moon designs, only leaning more towards Sun in colours and Moon in appearance with the crazed look in his eyes

The height was just a funny little thing I thought of, cuz imagine this giant fkn ahh robot just comes in here and picks you up 💀 god I would piss myself

So in regards to the new design, I did kind of get rid of the animatronic feel to him that I had done with the DCA and his old design, all of them now look a whole lot more Human which is what I intended for

Eclipse has a few scars around his body; right forearm, left side of his torso that leads all the way up to his chest. Plus a bit of his face that is burnt which you can't exactly see because of the Black spots

Overall I like my newer designs quite a lot and has also changed a lot, this is probably the most insight you'll get out of me abt my art 😭😭 cuz I don't usually ramble this much otherwise

I might come up with some head canons at a later date, but they'll be fun thats for sure ;)

I'll talk about our boy cus we love him and his weirdness

I think a very big way to bond with Ayatsuji is by having a hobby. Like any sort of hobby. It doesn't necessarily have to be anything particular, just something that you are passionate about. I think if you have something you're happy and passionate about, and lets say will put plenty of time and money into it, he appreciates it. Because he himself has a hobby of collecting dolls and I think if your hobby coordinates with his, it'd make it even better. A good bonding experience is just sharing the things you both are passionate about.

I think what can correlate with this too is if you have something you like a lot, for instance a TV show or movie or a book, and just talk about that, it's another good way to bond. He's got that thing for hating most people and thinking most people are boring. I think you having wacky hobbies or "weird" obsessiveness over things gets his attention more. Having hobbies and extreme interests in things will amuse him more than not having any at all.

Just a simple hyperfixation exchange would be a great way to spend your time with this dude lmao

I feel like most people really aren't that interesting to him and for that reason alone he tends to stay away from most people. He doesn't really live the kind of life suitable for small talk to begin with but even if he did I don't think it comes naturally, a lot of surface level stuff is short lived so the weirder questions you ask, the better. And of course if you ask about his personal hobbies he'll definitely love that my god

He probably loves body doubling while working on hobbies and the idea of a lover doing any kind of passion beside him feels so perfect to him, he just needs someone with the right kind of weird. Love is stored in the infodumping fr fr, the idea that you have something meaningful to talk about is so delightful to him and speaks volumes about your own commitments and passions, which seems like something he'd deeply value. If he's looking for something more than a fling he can't do casual, he needs someone locked in and the fact that you could dedicate yourself to a passion shows that you could equally dedicate yourself to him as well

I also think he prefers weirdos and creative types in general, the more opinionated the better, he loves discussion even if you and him have opposing opinions. If you and him read the same book or watch the same stuff 100% be prepared for active discussion with full arguments and opinions laid out for analysis. Hell, he'd probably find it fun if you and him could mutually shit on something for sport and explain why it's bad and totally sucks. Intellectual stimulation is totally a must, whether it's infodumping or deranged debate, he'd absolutely love it. Plus is you and him had a hobbies that overlapped he'd probably have a field day trading methods and techniques, and even if they didn't overlap, I'm sure he'd find the hobby process interesting in it's own right

basically, fuck yes talk to him about dinosaurs (imagine he takes note of which dino is your fav and makes you a dino figurine as gift)(ahh that would be so cute wahhh)

- okay so id like to think you got hired bc dee is fed up (per usual) of being the only one constantly bartending and threatens to quit for the twentieth time. the ‘interview’ mostly consists of the gang arguing with each other while you sit at the booth and wait for them to ask you a question

- no one bothers to teach you anything so the first night after closing you’re just crouched behind the bar, tryna figure out where everything is. charlie walks in and you pop up from behind the counter to say hello. he understandably jumps, yelping and dropping the mop hes holding. he mumbles some excuse about how frank will be missing him, and speedwalks out of the bar. he doesnt mention it the next morning

- i feel like during one of the super busy nights, charlie joins you behind the bar to try and help out. hes mostly making up his own drink recipes but hes trying. you catch him ducking down behind the counter to take a shot multiple times. omg at one point you brush his arm while reaching for something and in a panic, he just straight up drops the glass hes holding

- i cannot stress how much the gang is making fun of him for how stupid hes acting. they clearly know he likes you so everytime the two of you are anywhere near each other, mac just starts making kissing noises until dennis tells him to stop. charlie has physically tackled dennis to stop him telling you any embarrassing stories about him

- one time you were cleaning up behind the bar after everyone was gone and charlie (in an effort to impress you) spent half an hour telling a story about the time a group of rats almost took over the bar. you mentioned smth about how cool it was that he stopped them and his face immediately flushed pink

- he is constantly trying to do tricks to impress you and theyve never once worked. tried to casually flip a bottle of whiskey which of course fell and shattered. picked a fight with dee, got decked, and almost fell to the ground

- plus he for sureee shows you all of his various business ideas!!!! hes always showing you the informercials and being all proud of himself and waiting for your reaction

13 Your favorite friendship they have ooh first instinct is seymour, i loved their interactions so much. i wish it'd been explored more. also john, because it's so fucking heartbreaking. "all this time", ughhh. they both genuinely liked each other and it was just doomed from the start. also his kind of fatherly friendship with the kid he saved, five bears (i think if i remember his name right) was very touching.

20 A weird headcanon hmmmm. maybe only a little weird but i think elijah was his first kiss (and more???) with a man. i think he'd probably been attracted to men before but not in a way that he really thought deeply about, or maybe even fully realized. and going along with that i think elijah had been with men before but maybe tried to leave it back in france, before he married caroline. no more wanting your sister's man, none of that, nuh uh.

AUGH THIS ONE IS REALLY FUCKING HARD ACTUALLY cause literally every single comment i've ever gotten means so fucking much to me. just shit man like. time and energy are the most valuable resources a human has. so the fact someone used time and energy to read my fic in the first place, and then used even MORE of that time and energy to discuss with me about it? for my own fic? like. that's jsut. it's so insanely validating and just. it truly means so fucking much to me. so because of this every comment i've ever gotten like, has always stuck in my head i cant really let any of them go. and it's very hard to pick a favorite

however, particularly the ones that are like... "i have chronic pain issues and i see myself in ur kakyoin" def mean a lot to me as jsut, a whole "genre" of comment. because like, his portrayal there is frankly FOR them to see themselves in so im glad im like, doing it well enough so far. i hope to continue to do this. also as an extension of this it means a lot when comments mention liking how i write kakyoin cuase like, i really do, uh, worry about how he's coming across 😭 i know my 4yoin is a LOT sharper than many others and i know it can be kinda alienating tbh so like. im really glad people like, give it a chance. and then even like it on top of that. IT'S ACTUALLY UH, NOT THAT FUN OF A STORY 😭 my mom was/maybe still is idk, a "fandom mom" type of person so she got me into fanfiction way too young and i started writing fic as a result to kinda, idk, bond with her cause she also wrote fic. it didnt really work because my mom was into smut and well, obviously i wasnt writing that as a 7 year old. it didn't help that in the fandom we were in together, i didn't like her main ship at all. but it did get me into writing! it's been something i've engaged with since then and i've always loved it even if yknow 😭😭😭 weird origins

Hey so I just started playing sifu and I love it so much, so naturally I stated searching for content about it and there is CRIMINALLY LITTLE. Thank you again so much for the kind words - this kind of response is so delightful to receive, and inspiring to boot. My answer to your question about writers got longer than I anticipated, so below the cut!

As for writers that inspire me, Rougi is very specifically modeled after a few works from the late 19th century: Guy de Maupassant's Le Horla, Oscar Wilde's The Happy Prince, and (pushing the late part of "late 19th century here, but oh well) Balzac's La Fille aux yeux d'or. I really enjoy reading Decadent writers and in Rougi, my aim for the writing style is to pit Decadent attention to imagery and setting against a more naturalist cynicism as the mystery digs deeper. I'll admit also that I have not kept up with contemporary authors as much as I'd like to!

In general, I think my writing style takes a lot from the 19th century. I love sensation fiction and the Gothic - most of my work focuses on hauntings of some sort, and I like creating narratives that force people to confront uncomfortable aspects of themselves by recognising them in others.
