I'm glad he has the balls to stand up to his incel fans instead of kissing their feet and letting them walk all over him.
"Oh, well what if it alienates the fans--?"
What the hell is more alienating than a bunch of fucking Nazis in fandom??? I'm glad that Anthony Starr doesn't want or care about their Nazi money. The people at fucking Disney need to step up and do the same. Not that they ever will because everyone knows Roy and Walt Disney Sr were fucking Nazi sympathizers.

there's a lot of reasons to hate the way ad-based levels are now the standard starting level for streaming, but beyond just sheer blind hatred for it, it's also fucking annoying because they don't even have the diversity of actual tv ads. at least when you had regular tv channels you got like. usually a decent variety of tv ads coming your way and some local ads thrown in. with streaming services it's literally the same five fucking ads. i've seen the same ad for the same movie 40+ times because it plays at every single ad break. all this is doing is making me so homicidally irritated you're basically guaranteeing i'm never going to go to macy's or watch this stupid fucking horror movie about a pool. they're forcing us to watch ads and then they're making the ad-watching experience - already bad - even fucking worse.

The only thing I want from streaming platforms is a small banner that says "cancelled/finished/ongoing" next to the content warnings etc. Similar to the motion picture content rating. If movies have to declare that they are R-rated and might traumatize children, let me know that you cancelled yet another queer show and are about to break my gay little heart. I'm paying for entertainment, not for being a pilot season guinea pig.

Totally Killer (dir. Nahnatchka Khan).
Amazon's '80s comedy/horror mashup of Back to the Future meets Friday the 13th unabashedly plays on our familiarity with various film genre tropes. Kiernan Shipka plays a time-travelling teenager who must prevent her mother's murder in the present while also solving another longheld slasher mystery. It's a clever enough watch full knowing references and jokes about the future past.

Their love lived in whispers and hushes, Thieved glances and soft hidden touches. A graze of a finger For decades would linger — Time lost then time found ’tween brave brushes.

they don’t have the sound of music or sleepless in seattle on netflix?? netflix ain’t shit anymore.
seriously though, why are there no good movies on netflix/amazon prime/etc anymore that aren’t behind a hidden(!) paywall, with ads, or need a premium subscription?
nothing more frustrating than finding an actually good movie and realizing it is not in fact available for free on the platform im paying for.
im this close to getting a dvd player.
