You know what would be really funny. If Jason had the most normal/conventional food taste out of his siblings (still very far from regular people’s “normal”), he’s stuck in the manor because of an injury and therefore has to witness the culinary WAR CRIMES his siblings consume for sustenance. Since there’s no Alfred to stop them anymore, they have been running rampant.
Jason: What. The fuck. Is that.
Damian, pouring out a green sludge into two cups: father and I’s breakfast smoothie, or did you hit your head hard enough to forget the concept of a smoothie?
Jason, scooting his chair away clutching his water bottle to his chest: yeah I dont know what nuclear reactive, Gotham harbour concoction you so flagrantly bestow the title of “smoothie” on but keep that shit FAR away from me
Tim: *sits down next to Jason, cracks open a can of energy drink and pours it into a glass, pouring milk on top until it reaches the brim*
Jason, with tears in his eyes looking at Dick for help:
Dick: *shrugs, shoving a fistful of dry cheerios into his mouth*
Jason: *turns his horrified gaze to Cass*
Cass: *grins at him toothily with two heaping plates of a full English breakfast sitting in front of her. He has no idea where she got it from. She is using a set of utensils for each plate.*
Jason: *stands up calmly* maybe I should stop looking for the unstable bomb I lost in the manor the other week *walks out of the kitchen, a few moments later a shrill scream is heard*

Android Tim Drake AU:
Drake Industries announced they had successfully created realistic-looking androids that passed the Turing Test (and harder versions of it). They were planning to release commercial models to the public within twenty years.
To go a step farther, the Drakes wanted to ensure no one was skeptical of the androids' abilities to pass as human. Thus, Janet and Jack Drake had a healthy "human" baby by the name of Timothy Jackson Drake. The only individuals aware of this are Tim, Janet, Jack, and a small handful of engineers bound with a fuck ton of NDAs. They planned to tell the public when Tim was eighteen.
While Janet and Jack Drake are aware of Tim's ability to mimic emotions, they do not believe him to be capable of actually feeling them. This leads to Tim's childhood being lonely and neglectful. He is a robot.
At first, Tim is incapable of consuming human foods or using his touch sense. They fix his touch sense by the time he is four (and thus Dick is his first hug), and the food by the time he is six. He is constantly undergoing repairs to allow him to mimic the growth pattern of a child. It's when he is nine that he finally gets pain sensors to discourage and alert him to damage.
Tim is, for all intents and purposes, legally a human. When Janet dies and Jack gets into a coma, Tim stops receiving "growth spurts." He remains the same size even after Jack wakes up from his coma.
When Tim becomes Robin, he does not disclose his status with Bruce, Dick, or anyone else. Given that his parents treat him like an object, a machine, and incapable of feelings, Tim doesn't want to be subjected to that by his heroes either.
Instead, he gaslights the hell out of the Bats, villains, and other heroes whenever he gets hit.
["Tim! You got flung into a building. You are getting a medical exam."
Tim narrows his eyes as his eyebrows raise in surprise. "Bruce.... what are you talking about?"
"I saw you get thrown into a building. You're not getting out of this."
Tim glances to the side and then back to his mentor. He carefully places a hand on Bruce's shoulder. "B... Maybe we should have Alfred check you over."
Bruce blinks in shock as his brows furrow. "What?"
Tim purses his lips and shakes his head in pity. "It's okay, B. We'll figure it out. Whatever is going on, we'll fix it."
Bruce is so confused and concerned he doesn't ask Tim to get a medical check and agrees to be checked over instead.]
Tim becomes an expert at repairing himself because he can't explain to the engineers (most of who were let go after Janet died) how he got damaged. He spends a lot of nights alone in his room turning off his pain sensors (which isn't an automatic process and is difficult to reach)in order to fix the mangled hand, the gaping gash, the crooked foot, etc.
Kon, and conversely YJ, are the first to find out about his status (darn x-ray vision and super hearing). This encourages Tim to create artificial sounds within himself to fool Superman when they first meet. This also forces Tim to wear a long-sleeved uniform and a hood to hide from x-ray vision.
Tim finds comradery with Red Tornado.
When Jack wakes up from his coma, he originally treats Tim as he did before: an object. Dana, though, changes this. Jack can't explain why he treats his "son" that way and slowly morphs into becoming a good father.
It starts as only occurring when Dana is in the room and ends with a very bitter and antagonistic Jack when she leaves. He is initially disturbed by how much Tim is "faking" emotions, particularly because Tim learned to conceal his emotions from his parents as a coping mechanism (not that Jack knows this).
As they start spending more and more time together, Jack begins accepting the idea that Tim is capable of emotions. He starts caring and loving the kid as his own.
Because of this, Jack becomes fearful for Tim. When he learns that Tim is Robin, he is both jealous of Bruce's relationship with Tim and absolutely terrified for his son (what happens if people find out that Tim is an android? How would they treat him? Tim told Jack the Waynes don't know about his status. What if Tim gets injured too badly during a mission and they find out?)
This is why Jack initially forbids Tim from being Robin. There is way too much at stake for Tim if he continues (even though, theoretically, Tim can't die. Jack can keep saves of Tim and import him into a new body if necessary. They both don't want to do this, however, because Tim's body is his. It would feel weird and wrong to put him in another one).
While Tim is prohibited from being Robin, Jack bankrupts his company in the process of getting Tim rights. He bribes the hell out of judges, law makers, etc. to subtly put I'm rights for androids. He wants Tim to have full access to his inheritance, to freedom, and to everything humans can do. He doesn't want Tim to be without it.
Tim doesn't understand why Drake Industries is going under and is pissed at Jack for preventing him from being Robin. Robin is everything to Tim. It allows him to be treated as human. It connects him to so many people.
It's only afterwards, when Tim is finally allowed to be Robin again (and Jack has ensured he did everything he could for now for Tim's rights), that Tim fully understands how much Jack loves and cares for him.
Then Jack dies.
Tim is able to hide the fact that he's an android up until a Red Helmet asshole breaks into the Tower. While YJ whisk him away before the Bats can find out, Jason knows. Jason found out.

Consider:
AU in which Tim created an android that would silently replace him when he dies.
He created it with love and an eye for detail, because he didn't want his family to be in pain. To spiral like they did when Jason and Bruce died.
For it to work, he created it by using his own DNA in a sense. It was still made out of metal, plastic and microchips, but had his blood running through its veins and his skin covering its body.
To make the replacement more seamless, he even went as far as to chip is brain with an transmissior.
It would give the android all of his memories, all of his knowledge and let it know when to wake up.
Funnily enough, whilst he was working on it, he couldn't help himself but see it as a little boy.
As much as he liked to dehumanize himself, to see himself as a weapon or tool for batman and gotham, he couldn't do the same for the thing he created.
How would he, when he was the one slowly building it, choosing the material and watching it develop thoughts, take its first breaths and move?
He never told anyone about it, so when it woke up from its slumber for the first time, it was all alone in its grief.
It knew what it was and why it was made.
It also knew, remembered, that its creator loved it.
So it tried to be good. To fulfill its purpose and fill the space that his creator left.
And everything was great!
It really was...
The bats never recognized the change, too caugh up in their version of justice to realise that their family member was dead.
But...
It couldn't help but feel angry at that fact.
Weren't they meant to be the best detectives in the world?
Werent they meant to be a family?
Those feelings only grew with time and with it grew the loneliness.
It missed its creator, the one that loved him so much, the only parent it ever knew.
Well. If there is one thing that Tim Drake was known for, then it was to try to bring back the people he loved in the most unethical ways possible.

The LOA Tim AU
Tumblr media
I've considered.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Raven, Beast boy and Cyborg versions (aka Ebony, Boy of Beasts, and Android. I thought synonyms would be funny) of Teen Titans because they were the ones in the tower during the Jason attacks Robin Tim thing. Jason Mega tasered cyborg and beast boy but drugged Raven and wished her sweet dreams and I think that's funny. But also I wanted Tim to eventually join Young Justice for real. I have no idea how id do young justice LOA too
The regular Teen Titan versions still exist and they DO bump into eachother after the gang have to flee to gotham (and they all just live in Tim's apartment when not doing missions/work and Tim is SO DONE!!!) and it's kinda disorienting when the two pairs of teen titans exist except for the Beast Boys. The beast boys get along like a house on fire.
Tim backstory is in the link. He wears eye mask with Khol underneath and his skin is heavily covered because he is just so White. He's the whitest one here. Jason went to Ethiopia to find his birth Mom. He just tans. Tim, tho? Tim is like a burnt tomato and he hates it!
Tim uses spears because it's similar to his Bo staff in canon. He has so many spears. No one knows where he keeps them because they can only see the one!
Ebony (Raven) is the daughter of a demon metaphorically in this because Ra's Al Ghul is called the Demon yeah I'm using my thinking cap! Ebony's mother was on the run and tried to take her own life when some of Talia's goons stumbled upon her. Ebony was taken in as an infant and raised as an Assassin.
Her powers are from her mysterious unknown father and powered up because of all the Lazarus pit stuff. She has a tragic backstory and is in Talia's army now.
Boy of Beasts powers is music and animal based. You know snake charmers? Like that but with every animal and every instrument. He's kinda like a disney princess it's really funny.
He was about to be bit by a snake as a kid but he was playing music and charmed the snake. His parent's were bewildered and decided he needed this even more so. His parents the genetic scientists. They eventually die in a boat crash and Boy of Beasts wanders the desert searching for anything resembling civilization and keeps evading Loa Assassins- this somehow does not alert him to the fact he's near Nanda Parbat. He manages to impress them like that.
He doesn't know this tho and the first person he meets is Android! Boy of Beasts follows him relentlessly. He is vegetarian of course, from a young age. Even after joining the Loa he does not stop.
He inspires Damian in vegetarianism. my favorite part of the music talking to animals to save him powers thing is frantic running while trying to play a flute
Android is reverse of Cyborg. Regular teen assassin of assassin parents gets into an accident (where his mom dies) and while his physical body is 90% fine he wont wake up, instead Android the artificial intelligence/consiousness is used to try and help him wake up. Unfortunately his human consiousness never fully wakes up so it's like a robot in a mostly human body lol.
He has a giant sword because I think he deserves one.
If anyone complains about Ebony having Henna to hide her veins being green for being South Asian I will add South Asian runaway princess Celestial Flame (starfire) to this and she will do the henna patterns in girls nights in the canon! (/threat)
Yes i was a Teen Titans (2003) show fan how'd you know??? Maybe that's my entire motivation. (and beast boy my fav 5 ever)
Jason will still mega taser them as Red Hood
If anyone wants any more LOA versions of dc characters comment it I'm having so much fun making this stuff

AU Batboys as Cyberlife Androids
I have 100% a bit more than I can chew with this. As I mostly know these fandoms from fanfiction. And I haven't even played the game. But that doesn't stop me from going of the deep end and make a AU in my head featuring the bat boys as cyberlife androids. And of course, Bruce is the but of the jokes too. So how does this work? Let me tell you what I came up with at work doing busy work that requires low brain power, and I pretty much autopilot and AU craft. So the idea is that Dick, Jay, Tim, and Dami have all ended up deviating. And due to damage taken, has either managed to cram themselves altogether in child model Android (or some sort of USB system storage). Anyway, that's how we get Robin, who managed to sneak away using a circus as a cover, and they end up in Gotham. (I think Dick might have been a police android before the transfer to the Robin collective, and Jay maybe was modified by the past owner for crime, no idea about Tim and Dami yet, though.) So, even if they are at risk of getting hurt, they still try to do good in the world. They some how run into Batman. With a lot of back and forth, Bruce managed to convince Robin to come with him. What they don't tell Bruce at first is that there are more of them. So, after some time, Robin asks Bruce if he could get an adult frame, please. Brucie managed to convince the public that he got the child boot secondhand. And there has been a lot of speculation as to why of the not-so-savory variety. So when Bruce requests a blank model with no programming to be sent to Wayne Tech for the transfer. The only reason Cyberlife agrees to it is that someone in Wayne tech RND convinces them Wayne is probably just gonna .... the bot. and yeah, that's how Dick gets the cake. As the others were like no, you've been in charge of Robin for so long now, you go first. So Dick agrees to transfer to the new custom model, which can change to Mr. Wayne's preference. To Bruce's surprise, Robin is operational, just different as Jay is in charge of the collective now as the next experienced model in the line. This is where Dick and the others come clear that Robin is more of a Matryoshka situation. It takes some time for Bruce to get to terms with that situation. But after some time has gone by, they come up with a plan to get another clean slate android body. Brucie is now gonna be in to role play, for his second android. He manages to get one of them beefy security bots. So yeah, he leaves Wayne RND with the forwarding request for a new blank bot from Cyberlife. And some techs are thoroughly amused by the goings on that the requests go through. And That's how we get a big beefy boy for Jay to jump to. Making it Tim's turn to be in primary control of Robin for a time. Bruce asks Robin just how many there are in there now, as it seems like the supply is never-ending. Tim calms Bruce down by saying that if they get one more android body, they'll have one each. more time elapse. And Brucie has to make yet another request, this time for a android secretary. Lucky for Bruce, the same guys as the last time are still changing and approving his request again, sending what they laughingly call "an Androgynous Twink for Mr Wayne" this time. And That's how we get Tim and Dami separated again.
And that's what I got so far, as I have no clue what more to do than possibly draw stuff. ---- So I posted on Discord to and the oh so wonderful @bucketorandomness
Added this; yes, I asked if it was okay to do the edit with credit
Option for more after-market additions for the boys:
Damian was originally a security model who was changed into an assassin by unsavory folks
Timothy was still a Drake, purchased as a kind of “test run for a real child” which they think is going great when it really wasn’t. Extra learning modules and some advanced reasoning in his base programming were mandatory for purchase
Cassandra, like Dami, was repurposed into a stealth-based assassin from a dancer base. Language programming was removed to make more room for the modifications. She follows one of the others home after recognizing a fellow android
Duke gets adopted into the Robin Collective temporarily while they drag his model back to Bruce and demand he fix it
Stephanie isn’t an android, but she did jokingly offer to join the Robin Collective once science figures out how to download a consciousness. Whether or not that already exists is up for debate.
Barbara can be a secretary model for the GPD or she can be another human like Steph if you want. If she is an android, I suggest Jim Gordon notices her deviancy and decides to adopt this new person and teach her how to people like a daughter. Also maybe self-installed body mods. I feel like she’d get a tattoo without supervision so why not upgrade her own RAM and other abilities?

one of my more complicated aus is a SIGNALIS inspired one where Dallas is part of a mass produced android line and a Dallas unit is sent with human Ponyboy on an exploration mission that they were never meant to return from and they didn't. Dallas units across the solar system then begin to experience malfunctions and some refer to a "signal" that infects them with a determination to find "someone they made a promise to" which always leads them to a specific mining facility on the outermost planet...

For the android au, wouldn’t it be fun if Tim was the only one who didn’t see himself as human
his parents realized he felt stuff by the time he was about ten, so they started to keep in contact more
his team never once, even after knowing, considered him as an object
his family?
well they have complicated feelings about him and Damian very much thought of him as lesser in the beginning due to his robotic nature, they never thought of him as just an object
Tim on the other hand
he believes with his full head, heart, and soul that he is nothing more than an object
Hii 👋
I was really proud of that AU and would so love to explore it more.
What intrigues me about your concept is the way Tim's need to be useful, helpful, and usable is characterized.
Tim views/treats himself as an object, as a means to an end, as a machine for others to use.
His family loves him, but Tim, due to his own self image, will be unable to fully understand or feel that love. He knows they care about him, but he doesn't recognize that love as the way one loves another person, as family.
No. He perceives their compassion and kindness as the type of attachment one feels for a well-known tool. He's seen how his loved ones will name other inanimate objects and meticulously upkeep their maintenance. He's seen how humans interact with robots and machines that don't have the computing/emotional capabilities of Tim.
He is merely an advanced version of all of that.
He knows their warmth and their endearment are unnecessary. It's pleasant. Tim adores their positive attention. Yet, he'd still function for them without it.
The fact that they freely give him love says more about their benevolence than it does about Tim's "humanity."
