Hello The Legend of Zelda Fandom. Here's a little idea i'd like to run by you and get your opinion on.

So recently i've been struck by an idea for a new Zelda game:

So here are a couple of ideas on how the game could work(sorry for any spelling mistakes):

Title: LEGO The Legend of Zelda The Video Game

1.Inspired by: The lord of the rings, The Hobbit, Lego marvel superheroes 2, dc super villains, Hyrule Warriors, Echoes of Wisdom

2.Story: Typical TLOZ story. Bad guy(idk who) kidnaps princess, Hero must save her but is too weak. So he goes to dungeons to collect items that make him strong. Hero fights avatar of evil couple of times. Then hero travels to bad gus domain to fight him. Hero fights bad guy. Bad guy is defeated. Princess is saved.(5-7 levels)

However after bad guy is defeated some strange things start to appear. Time-Space rifts appear across the land.

3.Mechanics/Abilities: -Equipment mechanic is based on the one from Lord of the rings, however there is a possibility of collecting materials. -Music abilities - there are places in levels and on map where characters with music items/skills can access them, for example: OOT link can use ocarina, WW Link can use windwaker, Malon can sing, TP Link in his wolf form can whistle, TP Hero's Shade in his wolf form can whistle, etc. Or i could change this so only a small number of characters can access them -Sheikah slate panels - characters with sheikah slate can access them, for example BOTW/TOTK Link and Zelda, Purah, etc. -"Detective mode" - characters with animal abilities can find foot prints and other similiar things(just like wolverine in Lego MSH), for example TP link in his wold form. -Masks - just like in majora's mask, some characters can use them to have different effect on enemies/npc's. -Time abilities - some characters, mainly Hero of Time, can sent objects through time to unlock other areas or on special pedestals or through songs can travel through time (just like in Lego Dimensions) to the same area but in the past or future.

-Stealth abilities - OOT Zelda(just like Peter Parker in Lego MSH) can change to Sheik, in other words she can access stealth mode. Some masks allow to do the same.

4.Map: During the first levels the map of Hyrule is semi-open, some parts are story locked. After time-space rifts appear there are sky islands from Skyward sword and Tears of the kingdom. In water part of the map there are islands from windwaker. There is a majora's moon in the sky and other famous locations from previous instalments.

5.Characters: -Link - New original design, every link from previous games -Zelda - New original design, every zelda from previous games -Main evil Bad guy of the game -Ganondorf - every version from previous games -Vati -Shadow link -Zora -Rito -Gorons -Sheikah -Sheik -Kokiri -Koroks -ETC

6.Transport: -Horse - epona, or any other horse -Ship - Windwaker, Phantom hourglass - ships from those games -Train - Spirit Tracks - only in some areas -Loftwings - Skyward Sword -Glider - Breath of the Wild, Tears of the Kingdom - It's possible to change the design in character creator, inspired by Lego Batman glider animation.

7.miscellaneous: -Red bricks are replaced by Treasure chests, sound is also replaced with classical Zelda chest opening sound -There is an option just like in Lego Star Wars The Skywalker Saga to turn on/of mumble mode, however this does not affect Link type characters, in other worlds all Hero's of courage will speak in traditional mumble voice even when option is turned off. -Studs have been replaced by ruppes, however the shape remains the same. -Collecting all on the level Minikits grants a new character(just like in Lego SW3) or creates a miniature version of a scene/land(just like in Lego LOTR). -Charcter creator is based on the ones from Lego Marvel superheroes 2 or Lego DC's super villians. -There are map easter eggs - You can find Skeleton in armor near the tree(nod to TP hero's shade and hero of time),master sword as well as Four sword, white-green-red lego studs that represent minish, etc. -The story of the game could hypothetically explain how timelines merged -etc.

These are my ideas for Lego The Legend of Zelda video game as of 21.07.2024. If you have more, let me know.

Tim and Damian for the ask game bc I'm predictable

12 What’s a headcanon you have for this character?

Damian: That he spends half is time with Talia <3 I also headcanon that if he did think Bruce and Talia would get back together again he would be outwardly supportive but inwardly suspicious (after like everything has happened, and he's 14, not 10) becuase he doesn't want to get his hopes up for nothing.

Tim: I headcanon that his hair doesn't grow back after hte explosion at the end of Robin. I just think its neat when characters have scars. Everyone's on tim's missing spleen but not Tim's burnt back of head?????

21 If you’re a fic writer and have written for this character, what’s your favorite thing to do when you’re writing for this character? What’s something you don’t like?

Damian: I really like when Damian draws comparisons with how he's treated in different situations by different people, often misunderstanding the people involved due to his own experiences (like assuming Talia is constantly evaluating his skills and judging him when she just meets him in The Way My Mother Didn't Raise Me, like she's another trainer).

Tim: I haven't written any Tim centric fanfic yet RIP even though I have ideas for some... but currently I guess (and this is my favorite thing for almost all characters if you can't tell :P) when his perspective informs his narration, like I wrote this line

This time, Damian gives him a longer look. He’s narrowing his eyes, threateningly.

in Batman and Son Rewrite (my first DC fanfic so there are things I'd change but not this part) and initially it was "He's narrowing his eyes, suspiciously" because Damian just genuinely was suspicious and uncertain of Tim's intentions. But I'm like wait Tim didn't know that, Tim doesn't really have the most charitable read on him. So I re-wrote it so it was influenced by Tim's POV rather than what Damian was thinking

Something I don't like.. hmm well I try to avoid writing it if I don't like it, but I guess for my past work I think both characters seem a little too soft at first. Tim is written back when I just new him from Batfam crossover events, Nightwing, and Batman comics (which I read a ton of, so there wasn't no comic basis) but before I read his solo title which I think really helps flesh out his character and I would have a lot different ideas for him now... Damian I think I overdid a bit on how ... hmmm IDK how to describe it. But sometimes in my fic i Published a bit ago he comes across as a little too vulnerable (on the outside) even if I was trying to avoid it.

Batman fanfic, Jason Todd-centric, with Batfamily fluff & humor

Jason will show the others how 'not like Bruce' he is. Except even the best laid plans have their own way of coming undone.

Part I

Jason is not the most like Bruce. He isn’t! It doesn’t matter that no one thought similarly, because they did this just to annoy him, because he’d been the first to say, to joke, that Tim was a miniature version of Bruce only for Tim to reverse it back onto him with everyone dogpiling on in seconds, so fast that it gave Jason whiplash.

Except Jason was joking. The others weren’t.

“You’re cunts. Cunts! The lot of you!”

“You started it,” Stephanie says, hovering over his shoulder from behind the couch. Cass stands beside her, behind his other shoulder. “And don’t call us cunts because you can’t take what you try and dish.”

“I can call whoever I want a cunt if I feel like it!”

Damian sighs through his nose. “Real mature.”

“I’m mature-er than you, shorty.”

“I’m not the one pouting like a petulant little child,” Damian asks, briefly glancing up from his video game to smirk at him. “Am I, Todd?”

“I’m not pouting.” Jason unfolds his arms and buries his hands into the couch cushions then he flattens his bottom lip, so it isn’t puckered and bulbous. “I’m saying that… you’ve got to be blinder than a –“ Don’t say it Don’t say it Don’t say it, “ – a bat –“ Dammit! “if you think that I’m anything like… like… him!”

Tim leans against the arm of his chair to better peer at Jason, better creep him out and make his skin crawl, and he begins counting, listing his evidence using his fingers. “You two fight the same, look the same, brood the same… are the most stubborn, the most sensitive. I know you both happen to like that dumb vampire show that was based off those books but’ll never admit it when confronted.”

“It’s not dumb!”

“You’re the only two who order Neapolitan when we go out for ice cream,” Tim continues, “you both have the same taste in women –“

“But not ��“ “And men.”

Tim waits, watching him with an arched brow and the barest hint of a curve to his mouth. Jason sinks deeper into the couch. He tells himself not to pout but he’s not sure if that works.

“I can go on,” Tim says, “if you want me to, that is?”

Jason huffs, “I think you’ve made your point…”

“And you both can’t take a joke!” Stephanie slaps him on the shoulder, “That should’ve been the first thing you said, Tim.”

“Well, it was so obvious…”

“Like I said,” Jason rises and brushes his hands down his chest, flicking his hands at its creases, at imaginary dust, at them, “cunts. I’m surrounded by cunts.”

“You’re the one acting like a cunt!” Stephanie slaps him again. Hard. It echoes in the lounge where they’d gathered and has Jason biting his cheek to keep from yelping. “So why don’t you quit acting like a brat and sit back down.”

“No! Better I act like a bratty cunt than him.”

“You say this as if Bruce doesn’t behave like a bratty cunt sometimes?” Cas asks him. She had enough genuine curiosity in her voice that Jason’s only response is to deflate and return to where he’d been sitting. His plop was louder than Stephanie’s slap. “Doesn’t he?”

“Whatever,” Jason grumbles, low and under his breath, instead of answering. He folds his arms. He pouts, fuck what Damian might say, he pouts! “Would Bruce sit here and let himself be spoken to like this? I don’t think so…”

Stephanie perches herself on his shoulder, brings her face close enough to his ear so that her whisper sends a shiver running across his spine worse than being in the same room as Mr. Freeze. “He absolutely would, and you know it.”

She was right. Jason hated her for it. He hated pretty much everyone right then.

Even Duke, who’d kept mostly silent until now.

“It’s not a bad thing,” he said. “Being like Bruce.”

“It is when I’ve spent so much of my life making my brand about how not Bruce I am!”

“Must suck,” Stephanie chuckles, “Trying so hard to do a one-eighty that you ended up pulling a three-sixty.” She throws herself onto the couch next to Jason and drops her legs into his lap, wearing an awfully smug grin Jason wants nothing more than to claw off her face.

He glares at her. “You’re enjoying this too much.”

She says, “Can’t I?” and revels in how it causes the veins in his neck to twitch, to bulge, to almost burst.

Cass soon drops onto his other side and layers her legs over Stephanie’s, probably because she anticipated how he would have thrown Stephanie onto the floor if she hadn’t intervened. His theory is confirmed with how Cass cocks her head at him and smiles bigger than Stephanie.

“Face it, Jay,” Tim says, “you are… your father’s son.”

He is not. He’s not! Jason is so much not like Bruce that he wants to scream it from the rooftops so loud they hear it in Metropolis, but he doesn’t since it wouldn’t matter to them how hoarse he became while denying it nor could his ego handle it if Clark heard his claim as a challenge and flew to Gotham for the sole purpose of lecturing him how admirable it was being compared to Bruce. Words wouldn’t make a difference.

Actions however…

“I’ll show you,” he says. Jason leaps to his feet and knocks both Stephanie’s and Cass’s legs off him. “I’ll show you all I’m not Bruce by doing something Bruce would never do.”

“Killing?”

“No. Not killing.” Jason rolls his eyes. For once, killing wasn’t the answer. “I’m gonna do something even better.” He leaves the room without revealing anything else, slamming the door as he exits.

The group looks between themselves.

“What do you think he means by that? Better than killing?”

“Isn’t that… most things?”

“I think the better question is,” Damian starts, this time maintaining his focus on his video game while he speaks, “do we really care enough about whatever harebrained scheme Jason whipped up to bore ourselves thinking about it?”

No. They don’t. So, they return to what they’d been doing before Jason interrupted their day.

Part II

THE NEXT DAY

Jason doesn’t feel very much like Bruce at this moment. In fact, he doesn’t feel much of anything other than a light, fluffy serenity that runs through his veins like molasses, that weighs heavily on his eyelids, and that stuffs his poor, dry mouth with cotton.

Why is he standing again?

“Right,” Jason mumbles to himself, remembering. “Water.”

He floats out of his room, smoke trailing him as he makes his way down the manor hallway and towards the kitchen. It is an arduous journey. The manor is a humongous beast and, since Jason had last considered it, somehow grown larger between when he went inside his room and when he left it. His path seems longer than it should be, fraught with more twists and turns that threw his sense of direction into frenzy. His latest error has him shouldering open the door to the gym, stumbling inside it and catching Dick, who takes pictures of himself in the mirror, by surprise.

“Jason!” Dick hisses. A warm blush colors his body, save the parts Jason can’t see covered by the flimsy pair of gym shorts he wears. “What are you doing here?”

Jason ignores him. He glances around the room and mumbles, “This isn’t the kitchen.”

“Course it’s not – what made you think this was the kitchen?”

“I’m trying to get to the kitchen…”

Dick strides over to Jason and studies him, their faces inches apart. Jason doesn’t blink. “Dude,” he says, scrunching his nose, “you reek. Are you high right now?”

Jason scoffs, then laughs. “What? Why would you – are you high?”

Dick isn’t high. He knows that. But Jason is, like Dick rightly suspected, very, very, very high. Which explains why he hadn’t thought of a better deflection than an accusation, and why he was in the gym and not the kitchen, though Jason isn’t able to understand this connection while he’s high.

“You are,” Dick says. “You are high.” He takes a step back. “Why are you high?”

He scoffs again and folds his arms across his chest. “Why do I need a reason to be high? Can’t I just be high… if I were. NotsayingthatIam. High.”

“Wait. Does this have anything to do with yours and Tim’s fight yesterday?”

“My…” It takes Jason a minute for Dick’s question to click. “How do you know about that,” he asks.

“He texted me about it.”

“About what?”

“About your major meltdown from being called Bruce’s doppelganger.”

“I’m not though,” Jason says, “because Bruce would never get high in the middle of the day. If at all.”

“And you do?”

Not recently. Not until now. But once the thought came to him yesterday he couldn’t deny its sound logic so during patrol last night he made a quick stop over at a dispensary – it’s legal here in Jersey – and purchased a few dubs worth of marijuana using cash he swiped off a would-be child abductor. No harm, no foul. The challenge was working up the nerve to actually follow through with his plan. He spent that entire morning staring at the pre-rolled joint, squeezing the orange bottle it came in, nervous since he wasn’t sure how smoking it would affect him. He’d never done anything harder than liquor before. It showed when he nearly hacked his lung onto the floor seconds after his first toke.

He’d rather die than admit that, especially to his family.

Jason chuckles and shrugs on a cocky expression, “I’m such a stoner that it took me twenty joints to even feel the slightest bit of a buzz. At least!”

Dick’s gaze meets Jason’s. “Sure.” His skepticism was obvious. Jason still missed it.

“Great. Glad we got that covered.” Jason jerks his thumb backwards, “If you don’t mind. I’m gonna head to the kitchen now.”

He might trip over his feet as he exits, but only because he’s too cool to care about lifting his feet off the ground. Honest.

Dick catches him before his face hits the floor. “Why don’t I go with you to the kitchen,” he suggests, “I was about to grab some lunch anyway.”

Jason snorts and snickers and doesn’t think how coincidental Dick’s stomach was being. “Sure. That's where I was heading, too.”

He assumes his search will take longer with Dick beside him. However, in his next blink, he realizes they’ve arrived at their destination.

“Whoa,” he mumbled. “Was the kitchen always this close to the gym?”

Dick brushes past him and towards the fridge. “Yeah. They’re actually the same room.”

“They are?”

He stifles a laugh and says, in his most exasperated tone, “Always. You don’t remember?”

“No, I do… I do.”

The kitchen and gym are actually two wholly separate rooms that exist on different floors, and Jason will realize this later on. Now, he believes what his brother told him and shuffles along to the fridge as Dick leaves it for the microwave.

He opens the fridge door and stares. He stares. He stares for quite a while, the chill air caressing his face and the background hum causing Jason to forget exactly why he was in the kitchen to begin with. Jason smacks his tacky lips together in thought. He cannot recall his reason why.

Then, Bruce enters the kitchen with a grunt and a passing “You’re up early,” from Dick and all that serenity Jason felt shatters into a puddle of broken glass at his feet.

What is Bruce doing here in his own manor?

Jason listens as Dick converses at Bruce while he putters around the kitchen, his grip on the door’s handle becoming tighter and tighter with every second that ticks by with Bruce in the room. He can’t do this. He can’t be near Bruce and high at the same time.

Why should he be afraid? Jason is an adult. He can make choices that Bruce wouldn’t approve of. He has made choices that Bruce didn’t approve of! This is not unfamiliar territory for him.

That doesn’t ease the paranoia gnawing on his brain in the slightest. Its teeth sink deeper into his grey matter, and it shakes its maw wildly, sneering, growling at Jason that if Bruce catches him high, catches onto the fact that he smoked in his manor, the worst thing ever will happen. What could that be? The worst, that voice says, so bad you don’t want to know what it is!

Oh God.

There’s a hand on his shoulder and Jason jumps. He whips around. It’s just Dick holding an empty bowl. When did he finish?

“Dude,” he says, “you good?”

Jason attempts to smile. “Course I am.” It was more of a grimace.

Dick didn’t push. Rather, he asks, “What were you looking for?”

“I was –“ The answer hits him with urgency, “– water! I came down here for water!”

“Okay…” Dick glances over his shoulder, “Don’t you need a glass for that?”

He does. Unfortunately, the glasses were in the cabinet Bruce was standing in front of like a gargoyle. If he goes for the glass, Bruce will surely see him and see how high he is and, and…

So bad you don’t want to know what it is!

“Earth to Jason? Hello?” Dick waves his hand in Jason’s face. “Seriously, space cadet – how much did you really smo –“

“I’ll go get the glass!” Jason shouts and pushes Dick out of his way, hoping Bruce didn’t hear him.

He hadn’t even flinched. Good.

Jason can do this. He can walk to where Bruce was, excuse himself, grab his glass and maybe exchange a few words with the old man, make him laugh once or twice, then dart away to the fridge and to his room after he pours himself some water where he can smoke another of his joints to calm the nervous flutter of his heart. It’ll be easy.

Bruce won’t know anything about him being high at all.

Besides, he’s too busy staring at the toaster he –

He becomes sidetracked by it, too. Jason frowns at the toaster, at the limp slices of bread sitting there not being cooked, instead of getting his glass. “What are you doing?”

Bruce shrugs, “Making toast.”

“You are?” Jason reaches for the lever in front and pushes it. The lever, and the toast, spring back up. Bruce takes a slice and complains that it’s not cooked to his liking, placing it inside the toaster once more. “I don’t think that’ll help,” Jason says.

“Why not?”

“Well… it’s not working.”

“It’s not?” Bruce squints at the toaster, scratching his chin. “Why isn’t it working?”

Jason spies the cord from the corner of his eye, the toaster’s plug sitting beneath the outlet forlornly. “I don’t think it’s plugged in.”

“Huh?”

“It’s not plugged in,” Jason repeats. He takes the plug and jams it into the outlet, then presses the lever again. It locks in place. The toaster glows orange as it cooks the bread.

A smile appears on Bruce’s face. “I was wondering why that was taking forever.”

“How long were you just standing here, waiting for toast?”

“I… don’t know.”

Jason turns to him and, when he does, he notices aspects of Bruce’s appearance, his expression, his attitude, and his posture that led to a certain conclusion Jason is unable to stop himself from screaming, “Hold on – you’re high, too!”

Bruce panics, tenses, and begins backing away from Jason. “What? That’s – why would you…” Then, as if he finally digested what Jason said, he raises his own finger. “Too? Are you high?”

Jason bites back his groan. He pales, “I – uh… no?”

In the background Dick, who had seated himself on one of the center bar’s stools soon as Jason neared Bruce, laughs and goes for his phone. “Oh, this is… I’m telling the others what’s happening. They won’t believe…”

Jason glares at Dick. “Don’t you dare tell them –“

“Tell them, what?” Dick mocks. He talks while he lights the signal for everyone else, “That you are so much like Bruce that even the things you think he wouldn’t do, he does? That what you want me to keep secret?”

“No, it’s –“

Bruce sniffles at his side. “You want to be like me?”

“No!” Jason denies as Bruce scoops him into a hug, “No! That wasn’t the point of this at all!”

“This is adorable. I’m taking pictures.”

“You do that and consider yourself dead, Dick!”

“I’ve lived a good life,” he says. The flash goes off on his phone. “This is worth it.”

Jason, trapped in Bruce’s arms, is helpless. All he can do is sulk and pout – he has every right to pout – and grumble to anyone who might listen that he is not like Bruce, no matter what anyone says, no matter that even he believes the tiniest bit that he and his father are similar. It’s the hill he’ll die on.

Which, hopefully, will be soon. Before the others can flock to the kitchen and add to his misery. Jason at least deserves that dignity, doesn’t he?

I finished MCLAL Armin, episode 6. It cost me, 1182 AP. I got the illustration. Here is the summary:

You start this episode in your own house. You have been busy with making it ready. Armin has arranged a truck for a few days to move everything. His now looking things up for a wedding suit. He wants something a little less traditional. He found a nice batman suit. Armin was also looking for an outfit for you. You like Ivy the most, but it would be weird if she would marry batman. But that kind of goes for every female character. And your parents will be there, maybe they don't like that kind of wedding. But it is your wedding. Maybe you two could decide over a Super Mario Kart game. That is not going to work for every wedding decision. Maybe we could go for a little more classic. Armin looks annoyed. You kiss him and tell him that he could still order suits. You two could use them for later. He tells you to stop. Armin has to concentrate, there is so much to do. For the wedding and the house. You two make a schedule for the coming time. You are going to get the wedding outfits end of this week. Armin is going to take care of the batman outfits. But he has to stay within the budget. At the beginning of this week, you two will see the caterer. The bachelor parties are arranged by the maid of honor and the best man. Nathaniel and Alexy are Armin's best men. You haven't asked anyone, yet. Rosa seems to be the good choice for you, and you also like to ask Chani. You will call them both tomorrow. You also have to do a lunch with both of the parents. They did help you both a lot with the wedding. You will both work that out. You still can't believe it, you are going to get married in an amusement park in front of the castle. The whole trip has been planned. But you still feel like you missed something. You are playing with your engagement ring and suddenly you know. You forgot about the wedding rings. Armin wants to do that as soon as possible. The day after tomorrow, you both have time. It feels a bit weird for Armin to buy wedding rings. It will make everything very concrete. You are scared that Armin has doubt. But he doesn't he is looking forward to it a lot. Only two days left to go.

The wedding rings The drive to the center only takes 15 minutes. Your new house feels far away, but exactly it lies perfect. Armin and you walk happily toward the jewelry shop. Armin would love to have rings inspired by a movie. But if they don't have that, he would like something original. You both walk into the store. There are a lot of options. Armin sees a ring he likes a lot. It looks nice, but you haven't thought about it yet. You still like the idea of getting a simple gold ring. There is also one thing that you haven't decided on, the ring bearer. Armin thought of asking Evan, since he isn't one of his best men. He is still his brother. But you like the idea of going with Rocket. Armin likes the idea, but he doesn't know how to explain to Rocket what he has to do. Evan could guide Rocket. That way, Evan would also be part of it. That idea makes Armin smile a lot. It is the best idea ever. Back to the rings itself. You look again at all the options. You like the black with neon details. They fit with you two. It was the one that Armin liked so much. He hugs you. You two buy the rings. Armin feels so happy with the rings.

The caterer Armin and you are testing the appetizers. They all fit with the fairy tale theme. Armin likes them all too much, he can't choose. You go with the Alice's miniature pastries in trompe l'oeil. Everything looks like a dessert, but it is an appetizer. That is a surprising meal. You like that a lot. It will be fun to see the guests reactions. For the main dish, the caterer likes to go with Spaghetti con le polpettine and the vegetarian option would be ratatouille. It tastes amazing. It fits perfectly with everything you have planned. The caterer also called the park, they arranged for them to wear costumes. Armin lights up with that idea. You get to choose what they wear as long as the theme park has it. You like this idea also. The caterer will e-mail you a list with the options. You send your answer back. You now get to choose the cake. The tiered wedding cake would be shaped like a castle. Just like the Cinderella one in the park. You like that idea a lot. But otherwise you could go with a cheesecake. For that, they all have different kinds of options. Armin and you taste every option. You still like the Cinderella castle the most. Then everything is decided. Armin and you leave the caterer. You are both kind of full from everything you have tasted. But it was all too delicious. Armin and you walk towards the restaurant.

Both of your parents are already at the restaurant. You all say hi to each other and go sit at the table. All the planning for the wedding is going well. You just arranged everything with the caterer, and you still have room left for a small lunch. The place you two are getting married is very original. But it suits so well with the two of you. After the ceremony is over, you are allowed to go on all the rides. Everyone is going to have so much fun. Maybe you will also see some of the characters. You still have to buy your outfits. You will meet Rosa in a few days and Armin will get his suit. Armin and you are looking forward to it.

The Dress Armin and you are at Leigh's store. Leigh will close the shop, but when he is about to do that, Alexy walks inside. He is here to help Armin choose his suit. Rosa also comes inside. She will help you find a fairy tale princess dress. Armin will leave with Leigh and his brother to Leigh's workshop. That way he won't see you in your dress before the wedding. You stay behind with Rosa. Rosa explains to you all the dresses she has. You all try them on. When you try on the GHLF one, you are sure Armin will like this. You get to choose the dress. There is only one to pick. Rosa will make sure that your dress is ready on the big day. Armin, Alexy and Leigh get back. Armin found the perfect suit. It wasn't easy, but he found it. You both thank everyone for their help and leave.

The bachelorette party Armin and you are at home. You are a bit tired, Armin and you were busy with getting the house ready. Armin asks you if you still have energy for the party. You have, it won't be a long night. Rosalya has Thia and the other girls still have careers. Armin is going to do A LAN at his party. There are going to be all different kinds of games to play. Armin and you kiss and you leave to go to Leigh's shop.

When you stand in front of the store, you see no one. You look at your phone, and then you see a limousine drive by. Inside are your friends; Rosa, Priya, Chani and Nina. You go inside and drive off to a restaurant. There you eat with everyone. Then you go to the movie theater. You get to see a self-made video. With all the stories about your life. And then back to Leigh's shop. There you all put on different kinds of outfits.

After the party, you see Armin at home. You are both exhausted. There is still a lot of stuff to unpack. Yesterday, you moved from the apartment to this place. You will soon feel at home here. But let's first go to bed. Tomorrow you have to wake up early for the big day.

The big day Armin and you start with packing everything for your trip. Sometimes you have to look for things because a lot of stuff is still in boxes. But you find everything on time. The flight goes easily. Everyone is there on time, and you stay awake and chat with Armin on the flight. When you get there, the place looks perfect. You are with Rosa getting ready. Chani will keep you update on how everything is going. You are not nervous, with being at this place. Everything will be perfect. You are ready. Rosa takes you to your parents.

Your dad will walk you down the aisle. At the end of the aisle you see Armin. He looks so handsome. The story switches to his mind. When he saw you walking towards him. He suddenly felt a rush of stress. It's stupid, but Armin just can't believe it. That you are the one. You look so beautiful. Armin needs to get a hold of him self and enjoy the moment. You are getting closer to Armin and smile at him. It lifts the weight from Armin's chest. Everything is going to be fine. As long as you two are together. You take his hand. Armin is going to explode with happiness. The story switches back to you. You are both very happy. Armin will start with his vow. He still has a hard time realizing how lucky he is. It is hard for Armin to believe all this is real. And Armin is not talking about the place. The place is magical, but it is just a setting. But your new life together is real and that is magical. It may sound a bit lame. But Armin means it. And he wants to make a promise to you. The timing seems right to him. He promises you that he will do everything he can to keep the reality magical, for as long as possible. Because the most important is you. Armin loves you. You have tears in your eyes. It is your turn. You believe in Armin and that he can do it. Over the past few years, Armin has brought so many amazing things into your life. So much imagination, fictions, but also a lot of real things, that you would never have thought to be possible. You never thought you live with a genuine righter of wrongs. You never thought you have so much fun with a game partner and live with a ferret. Or getting married at this place. You have no promise to make other than to marry him and love him as long as possible. You want to thank Armin for turning your life into a fairy tale every day. Armin has tears in his eyes. It is time for the rings. Rocket has the rings on his collar. Evan walks him towards you two. Armin and you both take a ring from the collar. You both say I do and kiss each other. You get the illustration. Armin and you feel like this moment will never end. But the episode ends here.

Batman Miniatures Game (2015)

So, a friend was thinning his ttrpg collection and sent some my way, which means I'm going to be reviewing a few rpgs that I probably wouldn't have picked up normally.

This is good, though! It means I'm getting a broader diet of media than "this looked weird and gloomy and I was unable to stop my own reflex to acquire it."

Anyway, the Batman Miniatures Game is still being maintained by Knight Models (at least as of my writing in 2024,) and is a skirmish game that emphasizes parkour and worker (token) placement.

You play as various factions from the broader Gotham metropolitan area and engage in objective-driven battles in a world of perpetual darkness (canonically, all combats in this game are considered to take place at night.)

There's a lot of elements in BMG you'd expect from an older wargame. Rolls to hit, rolls to damage, multiple wounds per model, etc. But initiative is handled by going back and forth activating models until everyone runs out of action tokens. And action tokens are the stars of the game.

At the start of each round, before any actions are taken, players assign tokens on each character's sheet. These tokens are assigned to different categories of actions, like movement, attack, block, and special. During your turn, when you activate a model, you choose which of its action types to take and spend tokens from that type to act. Token placement is public knowledge after it's been done, so there's an interesting meta here where you can see the enemy's bruiser with a bunch of movement tokens on it and know that it's going to rush you down when it activates. Damage also removes tokens, so you can theoretically preempt said bruiser by just opening up on it with a shooter.

The game being objective-oriented feels a bit necessary, because models become less capable as they take damage. Damage is in two flavors, stun and injury, and characters can get nonlethally KO'd if they're dropped with stun. They can also wake back up from KO, and it takes extra actions to cuff them or finish them.

So you can kind of get stuck in a spiral of your characters getting less capable as they take damage, and that means you'll generally be taking fewer activations in later rounds than earlier ones, but this isn't bad gameplay because the more actions your opponent is spending on gunning down your models, the less they're dedicating to the objective.

To further support objective-based play, Batman Miniatures has non-complex but relatively detailed rules for climbing fences, jumping gaps, wading through sewage, etc. Plus, close quarters attacks can grab and push, and cover and sightlines matter a lot for ranged engagements.

This is a game that wants detailed three-dimensional environments and shantytown style terrain, and will lose a lot of its complexity if it's just played on a flat board. Knight Models, which produces the game, also sells a lot of associated models and elements---although they're fully supportive of you making your models and terrain yourself.

And that's Batman Miniatures at a glance, but I want to take a moment to talk about the layout of the book itself because it's... it's something.

Despite being fully endorsed by DC and being an official production, this thing looks more like a high effort fan project than almost any high effort fan project I've seen--and that's not a negative. There are splash pages and pull quotes drawn from the comics, the Arkham games (rendered in engine!), and the Heath Ledger movie. No two page spread looks quite like any other two page spread. There's a page that's layed out as a newspaper and it's done that way *perfectly*, feeling like a windblow scrap picked up off the streets of gotham.

The layout designer popped off, even if the actual visual contents are kind of weird at times. You'll get a full two page spread of procedural rules for what to do if the Joker kicks you in the nuts, and then the next page is just straight up a cover from Long Halloween with "Live. Laugh. Love. -Frank Miller's Batman" in stylized red HAHAHA font over it.

Also, adding to the weirdness, the whole back half of the book is just photographs of models you can buy from Knight Models and then a semi-comprehensive guide to modern batman chronology (circa 2015).

Overall, I don't think I vibe with Batman Miniatures as much as with other modern skirmish games (such as Rangers Of Shadowdeep) or other superhero rpgs (such as the old Marvel Universe,) but I'd be amiss to say that I don't think there's something here. The token placement is rad, and the movement system is clever and streamlined. If you're a ttrpg designer looking to study an action economy, or you need a reason to paint some dark deco terrain pieces, or you're just a batman fan, there's probably something here for you.

If statues and huge figures of Cassandra are too big. Well. Cass has also gotten a few TINY figures as well released of her.

This one now in 2024 is the one that truly showcases how far we've come since 2019.

As it was in 2019, probably the best "tiny" Cass figure is the Minimates figure.

It is STILL the only figure of Cass that comes with the ability to have masked/unmasked faces.

As of 2024, it is still pretty easy to find and price-wise attain with an in-box Minimates Cass (which comes with Batwing) going for $16.

Imaginext has TWO Cass figures in their line. The first was Black Bat who was in a two-pack with Ninja Batman in 2019.

You can still find this two-pack in stores (Walmart primarily) but if you go to the land of eBay $5 just for Black Bat or $14 for the entire two-pack in box.

The second Imaginext Cass was a Batgirl (a Burnside Babs figure recolored in Cass's colors). She was part of a random grab bag Slammers wave for Imaginext in 2020.

As of 2024, this one sadly has gone up in price. $15 is the current asking price for the figure complete. However, someone has a listing for just the figure at $16. 😔

HeroClix went with the full cycle of Cass's identities. From Batgirl, to Black Bat, to Orphan, and back to Batgirl again.

These can all range to $4-5 as of 2024. So thankfully, no real price change here.

Funko has STILL only ever released ONE Cassandra Cain and it's based on Cass from the BoP live-action movie (it's a Funko mini).

Sadly, for a tiny figure, she casts a somewhat high price. Currently, as of 2024 finding her on the aftermarket at $22 is the cheapest price with the highest asking for $34. Thankfully, not as high as she originally was when first released. Originally she went for $50. 😮😶

The Gotham City Chronicles board game from Monolith has TWO Cassandra Cains. The first is in the primary game and is under her Orphan identity.

Sadly, to attain this figure you have to buy the entire primary board game. The asking price currently? $174. 😶

Originally, someone on eBay was selling this mini for $10.

"Season 3" of the Gotham City Chronicles board game will give us another form of Cass, her as Batgirl.

She's actually one of the bigger minis in the S3 game.

Also of note, the S3 box art for the game was made by Jorge Jiménez.

As for the asking price? The game still hasn't been released to backers ($100 to back the S3 game). So no idea what this Cass will go for.

Knight Games has a Cass miniature (Orphan) in their Batman: Heirs of the Cowl expansion for their Escape from Arkham Asylum Board game.

I couldn't find a price on this one sadly. 😵‍💫

There also was this custom Cass available on an eBay seller Brick store that's long gone.

Finally, as of 2024, there is this Batgirl from DCeased - A Zombicide Game.

Like the Season 3 Gotham City Chronicles. There's no real price currently on this one. She was part of a Kickstarter and hasn't been released as of early 2024 YET.

Eh. You won't catch me doing much of it on my end since there's a 98% chance I'll be butchering the language. The only exception is a smattering of Gaelic, since I'm on/off learning that (hi, Scottish, and you'd be surprised how many schools don't teach a single word of our native language :D it's great fun :D it's totally okay :D )

Final Fantasy VII, but the first work posted to AO3 is for Detroit: Become Human

20. Favourite fic you’ve ever written?

"Did it hurt when you fell from heaven" (Lucifer, linked further up). I was a woman possessed with that fic, 6,112 words written in one sitting (has never happened before or since, let me tell you) because. It just.

Listen okay if you've seen Lucifer (absolutely would recommend the first two seasons, my faves) there's just. He's hurting. He's struggling. And the subject matter I touch on in the fic is just glossed over in the show (it feels like it anyway) and it didn't sit right with me at all and man how I wished I could reach through that screen and give Lucifer a hug (not that he'd appreciate the gesture but still).

I wanted to shake everyone around him and scream for them to open their eyes and see. And so the fic was born. Pretty sure I stayed up until crazy o'clock writing it because I had to, it needed put into writing dammit.
