Ummm, excuse me? Would you mind telling me what your definition of repression is, then?

Because I feel repressed when a doctor asks me about my sex life, and if I say I have none, it gets marked down as a symptom without being asked if I suffer from it.

I feel repressed when my gyn tells me I can't get a hysterectomy yet despite losing so much blood on every period that I need to take iron supplements all the time, because I could change my mind about not wanting children (which is a whole other post, I know, but it's most likely linked to sex).

I feel repressed if I can't use dating apps or platforms because my sexuality doesn't even exist there, and the one time I tried, I got called names because I didn't want to meet for because it was clear where this date would go, despite my explicit "what I'm looking for".

I feel repressed when I think about how recently a paragraph was finally abolished in my country that considered sex a vital part of a marriage, basically entitling the spouses to having sex with their partner (both gender neutral, because entitling people to having sex with somebody else by law is wrong. It's basically a rape permission).

I feel repressed when I can't watch any film or show without it being about love and/or sex, no matter if it fits the narrative and furthers the plot.

I feel repressed when I plot my own stories and automatically put a romantic couple in there as main characters, even though I have no idea why this would be important for the plot. Not even my own stories, my own thoughts are mine.

I felt repressed when I was asked accusingly in a relationship if I wasn't missing something before I even knew asexuality as a spectrum was a thing, and having to lie about this being a side effect of my medication instead of genuinely not feeling attracted to someone in this way.

I feel repressed when I can't tell people I'm not sexually attracted to them because they will take this personally no matter how well I explain myself.

I feel repressed when everywhere I look there's advertising relying on naked skin, suggestive posing and objectification. Why are expensive cars still presented by women considered beautiful and tempting? It's not like that's necessary to convince people of spending so much money on a thing that gets you from A to B. Couches with women in smart dresses and high heels. That's not what a normal person looks like on a couch. But the worst is a truck in the town where I live: it's from a small fruit and vegetable stand, so whenever I see it, it comes from the warehouse, delivering groceries. On it is a woman clad in very little, presenting fruit. I'm sorry, but why? Does a misogynistic picture convince you of the necessity to avoid scurvy?

I feel repressed when I tell people and get the answer "you just haven't found the right person yet", because there are two possible assumptions from that point: I'm either not trying hard enough (so it's basically my own fault) or something about me is not right, appalling even (which circles back to I'm not trying hard enough or frames me as a victim of my genetics, upbringing or circumstances to be pitied).

Do not tell me how I feel. Do not try to tell me everything is fine and I shouldn't complain or ask for acknowledgement if everywhere I look, I'm reminded of how odd, how weird and how not normal I am. How much it inconveniences you to even acknowledge my existence, let alone respect any of my traits, views and choices.

And while I can only write from my own asexual point of view, I wrote this with all kinds of flavours of aspec in mind, so I'm explicitly including aromantics, aroace people and every shade of the spectrum in this. Not all my examples may apply to you, but I hope you can find something to relate to.

Nico's Powers and Rick way of writing them.

Honestly,I've been wainting to write this.

We all know Nico powers:

Can manipulate the shadows and travel in them (Umbra-kinesis);

Can sense someone's death and soul;

Can summon ghosts and talk to them;

Can summon skeletons that obey to his orders and fight for him;

Can use dreams to send messages;

Can unconsciously split the ground and create cracks or Underworld's openings;

Can turn someone into a ghost and make them forgot their life and ability to speak;

Can turn someone into a skeleton;

Has influence on the dead and can evade them when he has to;

Can create earthquakes (not major ones like Percy);

Technically has Geo-kinesis powers too (like Hazel);

Can summon zombies to serve him;

Can conditionate the CJ's lares speaking ability by forcing them to shut up;

Can influence the dead ones with his mood;

Death-touch;

(If I missed some feel free to add)

Other than this,you need to remember that his title as Ghost King give him some more leverage,and his sword is an uniqueness in the world that give him the ability to suck someone's soul in it.

By only this list you can tell that Nico is extremely powerful,and he is still younger than Percy,with a weak physical body (depression and ED do some wonders to you-) and wasn't never "officially trained" like him since he wasn't around camp much. But he still pulled insane acts even without being 100% ok most of the time.

Nico powers,differently from Percy and Thalia,are extremely versatile. While those two can use whatever source or form of water/lightning to fight,they can't do much outside of their fathers's domains. And then you have Nico. Nico that can use his powers to travel around the world and sending messages with a mental link,other than use them to fight. People always talks about Percy controll over all types of liquid (even poison or the Underworld's rivers),but there is still water in them,so it's normal for him to do so. Thalia can use lightnings because it's normal for her to do so since those are Zeus's main sources of power. But Nico's powers are more than just controlling the dead,he can manipulate dreams (something that only the Hypnos cabin can do if I remember correctly) and can use geo-kinesis too,even tho not as much good or frequent as Hazel (before she started to work with her mist affinity). He can do it all.

I'm not trying to pull the "Nico is more powerful than Percy" argument here,but more focusing on Nico's versatility usage of his powers. And Rick made a mistake here with him,that he realized later and tried to minimize.

You see,when you have a powerscaling system,you usually take the main character as the "default": it's from them that you start to build it so other people can understand where others characters stand,compared to the MC,on the scale. Most of the time,people want their MC to grow stronger after every fight,starting from the bottom,untill they are the most powerful character in the story. It's a format done everywhere (anime,movie,comics,fanfic,books,ecc...) and Rick Riordan also used it with Percy. And when you have as MC the "most powerful character ever" (in this case the most powerful demigod since Heracles times),you need to be careful with your side characters,especially when the author doesn't want them to outshine the MC. For this reason,most of the time,they are either weaker than them or have extremely excessive drowbacks. A good example of this is Jason: Rick introduced him to us as the roman counterpart for Percy,but made us understand that he wasn't never at Percy level of power. And when you have a "side" character as Nico,adding to the fact that he's most of the time the wild card for their victories and always know everything,you have a big problem.

Riordan made it clear that no one (for now) can surpass Percy in term of abilities. But he still went out of his way making Nico's powers more versatile than the others. Logically,he should have been stronger than Percy,especially because death cannot be stoped and it's part of everyone life,but canonically it wasn't going to happen since the MC is Percy. Riordan realized in a second moment that his powers were too much and decided to make sure Nico was always held back by something from going full out (like Jason).

Nico is the only child of the big 3 that,if he use so much of his powers,has extremely horrible drowbacks even when he shouldn't. I could understand during MoA-BoO events in HoO,he was either dying or disappearing into the shadows because of his kidnapping and Tartarus,and still had an extremely draining task to finish. But from HoO to ToA there is a big timeskip (I think 6 months or more but I'm not so sure) where he should had all the time in the world to heal and having back full controll over his powers. But he doesn't. Nico still faint after shadow-travelling,even tho after his trip with the statue he should have been stronger and not having problems for a normal trip. Which sucks,especially when Rick most of the time make him pull some jaw-dropping power-play that give you the full picture on how strong he really is.

I don't think Percy had so many downgrades with his powers,I never saw him almost fainting from controlling the waters. He get tired,yes,but that's it. Thalia has more restrictions because of her fear,but I also never saw her having so many problems after using her powers (after she went with the Hunters we never see her in general anymore). Neither did Hazel with her geo-kinesis powers (before Rick decided to make her learn mist manipulation). Jason is a whole mess because he faint every day when he gets hit by a brick,even when he isn't fighting or using his powers (Rick didn't do him justice either). It's only Nico that has so many negative effects.

And the fandom can explain it,in a canon logic,with: "He's s still young,he will have time to grow stronger." (I agree) ;"He wasn't never in a good physical condition so it's normal that he has this many negative effects." (Even dying he was still able to curse someone to literally becoming a ghost) ; "He was malnourished and depressed,since he didn't take care of himself before he still have problems,wait for him to be healthy." (Again,even in those conditions he still pulled insane stunts). But,outside of the narrative,Riordan totally nerfed him because he realized that he wrote his powers too powerful and useful compared to Percy's,and since he couldn't have his MC outshined,he made sure to slow Nico in any way possible.

In BotL and TLO there are 2 scenes that,for a long time,I thought I was the only one to ever have read them since no one talked about them.

In the end of BotL when Percy get out of the Labyrinth and went with Rachel to see the coffin,Nico created an earth barrier (or something closer to it) to help them escape form Kronos's attack. He never did that after it,and I never saw people acknowledge that scene so I legitimately thought that I was imaginating it. Which was strange since it came right after the famous "Did you just throw a blue brush in the eye of the Titan Lord?" scene,but no. It really happened and Nico did use the earth at his liking. After that Riordan decided to never bought it up and Nico never manipulated the earth in that way (he still split the ground a couple of times) again.

In TLO after Nico went to free Percy from the dungeons,they escaped the palace and went to the Styx. During their escaping Nico glared at the guards,while growing weaker and weaker with each one,and they ignored them. Again,since I never saw someone talk about it I genuinely thought I was remembering things wrong. Especially because it was part of the whole "Betrayal" plot that everyone know. But again,it wasn't the case,Rick just decided to never bring it up again. It was the only time Nico did something like that. Someone can say "Well,those are the royal guards and their boss is his dad they would never go against him." but the guards were against Nico,if he didn't do whatever the fuck he did,they were going to tell Hades about their escape. So,again,Rick realized he gave him a powerful trick and then hoped that one one would remember it after he used it one time.

All of this shows that,even if he is good at writing certain things,when it comes to others topics (like power-scaling,Tartarus's trauma and many more) he just can't write well and try to put patches on the holes,without having success. But that's for another post that I will do.

Rick lack of continuation in his work,and he needs to decide what the hell he is going to do with Nico,because the guy himself is a contradiction that needs to be solved. And if I see someone else say that he is weak because he continue to faint,I'm gonna crash out very very very bad since it's Rick's fault. Nico has grown enough in his power to stand tall and use them without having majors problems (if he abuse them,then of course he is in big troubles). He isn't anymore the 13 years old kid that was dying during a world-ending trip after days of being captive by the enemy,and Riordan needs to acknowledge it and move on from that.

Okay I actually love Tango and Jimmy's relationship on ttsbc so much that I decided to make headcanons about both of them with the very little information have about their dynamic 😓😓(I would actually kill for a fic just with the two of them) (I started this a few months ago and forgot about it)

1. After Jimmy first moved away to the overcity he wasn't able to hangout with Tango due to them being so far apart, yeah they had phone calls but that still wasn't enough and Jimmy started to become more isolated and his mental health plummeted (and when he overused glamor/ had massive headaches and wing pains) because he wasent around Tango and they both kept each other in check but Jimmy found that listening to videos from YouTube playing those 4k ambience cozy fireplace sounds will actually help calm him down because he is so used to the noise and it's supper similar to the noises Tango flames produce.

2. We know Tango glamor is weak so when he was a kid I imagine it was more difficult to keep his body heat at a healthy level. You mentioned that cold and hot things are the opposite for blaze borns so it would make sense that being cold for a blaze born isn't a healthy thing so the avain trio (most of the time Jimmy) would put their wing around Tango to help maintain his temperature heat anytime they were around him to the point it's second nature to the avain trio (yes I feel like it has left to some awkward moments because imagine you sit down next to the pesky trio and mid conversation your vision gets blocked by feathers and the avians doesn't even realize it till moments later.

3.Tango has a basket decated to avain feathers (and any other stuff his friends will leave behind in his house) and the basket isn't like a small trash can its one of those huge hampers that is constantly full of feathers ranging fron many different colors and sizes (Tango is always finding feathers everywhere zed has probably noticed a feather or two mabye even the hamper full of feathers he just hasent asked about it yet) (thats if they do come over because we've learned that they normally go over to the slab family)

4. Jimmy and Tango most definitely have adult cuddle time whenever possible, yes they might have their own mans but they both need their friend (sibling) cuddle time (they have been doing this since they were kids it isn't going away anytime soon)

5. To add on with the cuddle time (I have multiple things to add about cuddle time) as kids Tango didn't like sleeping because it left time to think so a lot of the time Jimmy would "fall off his hammock" to sleep next to Tango/or Jimmy would make quiet noises to try and distract Tango for a little bit

6. Tango has a Hammock for his avain friends which isn't normally put up but its extremely easy to put up, all you have to do is put the hammock pins into the hooks

I started these a few months ago and forgot about it but I've decided to show you them so they don't go to waste, I would personally change a few of these but still, I love the ranchers forget the relationships sleepovers I need a ranchers sleepover of them being silly because little spark is only making me go more insane 😊🙏

I really don't get how Lea could ever think they and the Hunter were a team, when apparently they knew about the collar thing while the hunter didn't even know??? They are the literal embodiment of the Hunter's alienation and dehumanization. Will Lea (and the narrative) ever acknowledge how fucking despicable the order actually is??? They're a bunch of child abusers who prey on poor families and practice human trafficking. On that note I actually deeply despise the Hunter's mentor. That fight scene with him forcing us to stand up again and again? I don't care that the same was done to him and he did it to make the Hunter stronger or whatever. That was the same logic my grandmother had when she hit my mother, and she would have done the same to us if my mother hadn't cut ties with her and broke the cycle of generational violence. I'm sorry. I probably shouldn't play this game right now as it very clearly trigger some things within me that I should address elsewhere than in your ask box, but I guess I needed to express how helpless the Hunter made me feel. Especially with Lea. My character (and myself I guess) couldn't sit down and have a normal conversation with them given how blind they were to the Hunter's situation, and that was even before I understood what the collar thing truly meant after replaying the demo and reading the last snippet you published. Lea comes from a powerful family with ties everywhere, they are literally called our 'handler', and they know what the ladder does to someone (both short term and long term, mentally and physically)... And they truly think them and the Hunter are the same??? Equals??? The only explanation I can find is that they grew up their entire life within the order and never knew anything else, and so this is a case of great ignorance and deep denial. They need a good wake up call and a lot of character development, but when I see Noel's reaction and Lea's behavior during their rival route, I'm kinda worried.

well... i mean most of what you've mentioned here is The Point. Lea is a hypocrite, and the hunter can argue with them and refuse their partnership because of it. Jorah is an asshole and treated the hunter poorly at times, to the point that him and Rodrick argued about it frequently, and is why Rodrick attempts to intervene when they spar. the Order does cause harm and coerces people into their ranks, usually children or those that are more vulnerable and lack other options; and this is always true no matter how the hunter tries to justify it and convince themselves otherwise. all of the people and institutions in this game are complex, none of them are righteous, and they exist as they do because i have something i want to say-- all of these are choices i've intentionally made when writing this story.

and we're only on chapter 1 right now (and even before the rerelease, only on chapter 2), all of the characters need character development, none of their arcs have even started yet.

this story is supposed to make you Feel, big feelings and little feelings, my goal is for people to connect with the characters or at the very least just empathize with them and have a desire to see their stories through. i'm not out to trigger people but this game is intended to be a dark fantasy that explores heavier topics. i'm always open to discussing my thoughts behind certain characters/narrative choices and i will always welcome suggestions if you feel i need to add something to the content warning list, but i really don't like asks like this, and i'm not really sure how to respond as a stranger on the internet. you can either trust me and my intent as the author, or maybe it would be better to not continue with the story if that's what is best and safest for you. only you can know and make that choice, not me.

I'm so happy you like the way I do readings! I think that other people do amazing readings too but I do think when it comes to public figures or celebrities a lot of people try to like detach a bit when they're doing them? I don't know if that makes sense like try not to make themselves seem too familiar with them but I do readings for celebrities or regular people the exact same way. But that's not him he's the type where he'll be staring at you and end up accidentally tripping over thin air and then when you laugh a little and ask him if he's okay he'll sit there and say some dumb pun or be like the floor has it out for me because it's the first thing that pops into its head.

Or if it was one of those special occasions where for the juniors and seniors they would allow you to order Chinese food, Japanese food, Pizza Etc from the local eateries near the school he would sit there and he knew exactly what my order was and you just buy it for me. he sometimes forgets that you’re completely unused to this world and are so interested in and learning more. jamil has grown so used to it he doesn't believe things you’ll be amazed at are shocking- he finds it cute. he likes seeing you light up and tell him about something new you learned and more you want to find out. he will talk a little, but he enjoys listening to you as he hums and nods, he loves your interest and desire to only learn more about this unknown world to you.

jamil will totally plan a trip to his homelands with you, he is more than willing to be your own tour guide as you follow him around and he shows you everything there- especially regarding his own culture and way of life in scalding sands. he will share the magic and myths that tend to lie around those parts and have an amused smile on his face when you only want to see more.

he is a little surprised to see you watching so intently and curiously when he's doing something such as potion making, once again it's something that feels normal to him. he'll raise his eyebrow and smile gesturing you to come over and ask if you'd like to help him get the ingredients he needs. you already seem like you know exactly what he'd need anyway, as you light up and remember the kinds of plants you were learning about in this world as of recently! haha

grim gets so confused on how you find trein; history class so intriguing and fun, he practically complains and almost falls asleep most of the time. not going to lie though he was a little surprised at first when you're usually the first to answer questions regarding twisted wonderland and getting them right- you're just a magicless human?? from another world?? and yet you easily surprise students around you.

he may groan a little when you take so long to pull away from places like the school's library or the botanical garden. sometimes you may hear him make some comment like "eh? i heard trey talking about these..." or something because he himself is learning too.

when you're talking excitedly to the ghosts at ramshackle about their experiences and their lives grim finds himself perking up and listening as well. he also notices your love for the ghost camera crowley gave you, as you tend to take pictures of anything you find interesting in this world. when he's looking at all the pictures you've taken, he finds himself reminiscing and laughing with you as you tell him all about them.

The original ask I received wasn’t short. It was a long, detailed message — one I didn’t post — where the anon went back and forth between wanting to manifest a dream life, feeling guilty for desiring it, flipping between different roles, feeling stuck, referencing multiple concepts, and expressing a wish they’d never learned about any of it. Paraphrased, they said:

“I don’t know what to manifest exactly… I daydream about it for 5 years… I feel like I am abandoning my family if I get it… I’m afraid I will lose comfort… I wish I never heard of any of this… I miss me enjoying life and believing in my religion fully…”

It was full of contradictions, doubt, and mental spiraling — which again, is not an insult, but an observation. One I pointed out because we all read it.

What I said (“this is A & B, x & y, without seeing what’s being pointed to”) wasn’t shaming them — it was directly describing the state of the ask. Saying "It's impressive how anons send asks to multiple blogs" was a serious statement, it's genuinely impressive and a pattern I've seen everywhere on tumblr. It's impressive to me because I'm not originally from tumblr and have only seen it on tumblr first.

Pointing out someone swimming in concepts without pausing to question the one who's caught in the middle of it all, is not cruelty, at least not to me — it’s pointing out the structure of the confusion and the habit many, though I didn't elaborate because that comment was directed at Diva. This has nothing to do with not giving “grace” or not being “nice.” It has everything to do with pointing out a habit and whatever I just read with the full context, not the short version. When a concept like AV or No Concept (which is a concept) is brought into a manifesting question split so heavily, and the two are blurred or confused, it’s important to see what's actually being asked — and from where instead of asking ontop of asking and instead of clicking from A to B to ask C and D while waiting for E and F. And again, I wasn't replying to them, my comment was understood by Diva.

You can’t resolve that conflict with another set of spiritual answers from X amounts of blogs. Not a single answer that will ever be given by anyone solves that especially if the two parties are speaking about different things entirely or have a different understanding of it.

My answers being perceived as direct or mean is nothing new, it's been like that since our first post. Mostly, it's that Ed has never thought about her gender, but as soon as anyone brings up she may be a girl her response is to think about it for a bit, then go "Oh! No wait that makes sense." And proceed to go all in about it.

Specifically, I'm thinking about Ed being on the run with Greed and the others and needing a disguise. What better disguise when the country is on the lookout for a short loud blond boy alchemist than a fairly normal height blond girl? Ed transmutes his coat into a dress, keeps his hair down, adds a bit more heel to his boots and speaks quietly or not at all and Boom! that's just a shy girl.

After a little bit of doing this, with Ed seemingly not having any issues with the act, Greed tries to poke at Ed a little bit.

Greed: So, you seem to be playing a girl so well, what if you actually are one? (Expecting Ed to blow up about being a man and not into girly things, etc.)

Ed: [shrugs] It's not like it's a big deal, cross-dressing is fun, everyone enjoys it a little bit.

So, yeah, now Ed is going by Eden and she/her pronouns. Every time Ed meets up with someone who really knows her (Al. Winry, Pinako, Izumi and Sig) and tells them, the general reaction is "no, yeah, that tracks" and Greedling is so *so* frustrated at the nonchalance. (Hohenheim is surprised, but his general demeanor makes him incapable of expressing it to the degree Greed wants.)

After the final battle, Ling leaves Ed with a cute outfit (think that one emo anime-girl pic that was everywhere. Or any hot-topic teenage girl. The red plaid miniskirt with the chains is required) and Ed loves it, and hates that she loves it, and is mildly weirded out by the fact that it is tailored to her. But, the important thing is that she wears it to Team Mustangs room to quit the military, which is how she comes out to all of them.

I'm Finally Breaking My Silence.

I can't take it anymore. Someone has to know about this. It's been years since the realization dawned on me and years since I've kept my lips sealed, but I can bear it no longer.

It makes no fucking sense how the tall Genshin women have heels.

This is a meme, but I'm also on something else entirely. Maybe it's delusion.

I don't care if it's for the fanservice, I don't care if it's hot, and I certainly don't care if people like it because it makes no sense whatsoever.

I don't know how people can run around in varying landscapes and roads on heels. I don't know how the heel itself would survive such treatment. And I don't know how the wearer, no matter how skilled, would not trip and fall on their ass.

Some instances can be afforded more forgiveness than others, but this will not stop me from compiling a list of how I feel about them individually and as people:

Actual Insanity -

Beidou: The Alcor is a wooden boat. One day, that heel is slipping through a small hole in the floor, snapping off, and sending her careening across the starboard. Someone's going to laugh. And then they will be tossed into the brine before being pulled back out and promptly begging for forgiveness. I cry.

Jean: The Gunnhildrs are masochists. The pain is worth it for Mondstadt, as always. How does she do it, running around everywhere and carrying the Knights of Favonius on her back? There's no way that she doesn't kick off the boots while sitting at her desk when it becomes too much to bear.

Dehya: When she says that she wants to slay on the battlefield as much as her looks, I did not think that the shoes would also be a thing to consider. And in sand? Are you mad? Those heels are sinking. No wonder her burst cancels when she jumps. Imagine having to rework your precarious footing every single time.

Yelan: This sick woman unironically likes it. She probably enjoys the sensation of pain every single time it becomes borderline pleasurable. It doesn't help that she looks forward to it being treated too. Herbalist Gui is getting really sick of having to wrap her feet in gauze after slathering it with medicinal foot cream.

Rosaria: I don't know if she's capable of caring anymore, actually. She doesn't seem to process this the same. The woman has an aesthetic to commit to and she doesn't do anything halfway, including her fit. She says she doesn't get drunk, but you know damn well that it and the nicotine numb the pain.

Eula: Anyone who says that they can do reconnaissance work and wear those things is lying, and Eula Lawrence is no exception to this rule. To add insult to injury, she also has spurs on them. Spurs on those beasts of shoes. Respectfully, she needs to twist her ankle and be put on bedrest for the day, so she can think about it.

Candace: I can't believe that this mentally brought me to my fucking knees. How dare you? You live in an area that is mostly sand and dust! You go out in the night and kill things! You're constantly out and about taking care of things! WHY ARE YOU IN SUCH HIGH HEELS?!?

Shenhe: (head in hands) I don't even know if she knows that this isn't normal to wear. I'm going to Cloud Retainer's domain and demanding that she be put in something that makes more sense. She lives in the mountains for Archon's sake! She may not act entirely human, but trust me, she is one at the end of the day.

It Makes Some Sense -

Kujou Sara: She's won, actually. Geta are allegedly much more comfortable to wear than heels. She slays, stays stylish, and isn't suffering while doing so. Good for her, because this is one of the only wins she has in a long, long list of L's, mostly attributed to Yae Miko if you take the time to really look at it.

Lisa: Is she really going to be running around all that much? No! Because she has her little helpers to go around and do things for her. And even if she has to go around by herself, she does so at a rate that isn't breakneck speed. Also, I personally believe that she has some potions and enhancements to help out with it.

Ningguang: She barely gets a pass. Barely. I personally don't believe she takes that walk around the pier every day. It's every other day at the most consistent. At every other function, you can trust that she has a seat and that she's not on her feet. She can afford to have such accommodation.

Raiden Shogun: If her body wasn't a puppet that she made for herself, I would absolutely put her in the other category. She absolutely made sure that she wouldn't feel pain while wearing those things and it shows with how she's able to move like she does in combat.

Yae Miko: I won't call it foul and say that since she can shift into a kitsune form, she's not going into this category, but provide the proof in other ways. Do you really see her going anywhere in a hurry? Precisely the point. She could probably get away with people carrying her places.

Arlecchino: I have no words for the atrocity that is those heels. None at all. If I think about them too much, I'll start frothing at the mouth, and not in any good way.

Conclusion - My heart weeps prematurely for Clorinde and Navia. Fontainian fashion can kiss my ass. I mourn their feet.

They eyed me curiously, so I continued.

"You're at an age now where it seems like everywhere you look, there's a pretty girl."

They grinned, Arvin wiggling his eyebrows like he had a few specific girls in mind. Lex just smiled and looked down, brushing sand off his shorts. I took an extra deep breath as I waded into unknown territory.

"In school you learn the science of woohoo, how girls get pregnant, and all that. But they don't tell you about the emotions... The pressures... Feeling lost—unsure..."

Arvin sat up straighter, but Lex kept his eyes on the sand. He had that look kids give when they're listening but pretending not to. I took another breath, hoping to channel my dad's spirit of eloquence and comfort. If I sounded more comfortable than I was, maybe we'd get through it.

"Your body's gonna start talking to you—if it hasn't already. You might feel weird about it, maybe even ashamed. It's normal. There's nothing wrong with you."

I paused, checking to see if they were still with me. Arvin leaned in as if to take mental notes, but Lex still focused on the sand. I started to lose my nerve, but I couldn't quit now.

Come on, Luc, I said to myself. Don't overthink it. Just give them the talk you wish you would have gotten.

"Woohoo is one of the greatest experiences you'll ever have. Its effect on us is powerful. Some sims will lie and cheat and change themselves to have it. When you mishandle something that powerful, people get hurt."

I paused again to let that land.

"One of the best things you can do to guard your heart is to be honest. Not just with whomever you're interested in, but with yourself, too. Peer pressure is so strong. Sometimes you might think you want something because everyone else does, or because you're afraid to say no. But lying to yourself? That's one of the worst things we can do."

Arvin nodded. Lex finally looked up with a flicker of something in his eyes.

"The world tries to tell men what we should be like. Be tough, don't cry, always have a plan, smash as many girls as you can and brag about it... But real men aren't afraid to challenge that. Real men admit when something doesn't feel right or if they're not ready. That's not a sign of weakness. That’s wisdom."

I let that sit while I considered what to say next. A breeze kicked up, brushing through the palm trees as if to let the silence breathe. Lex wrapped his arms around his knees.

"Let's talk about respect. It's not just about being nice, letting girls go first, and all that. Real respect is, when a girl says no, you accept her answer without asking why. Respect is not expecting anything just because someone paid attention to you. No one owes you their body. And you don’t owe anyone yours."

I watched the wild chickens behind Lex, running around and pecking at invisible specks between the stones before Arvin's odd comment brought me back.

What the... I shook it off because I needed to stay focused. I had so much more to say and couldn't lose my momentum or nerve.

"You're gonna mess up, and that's okay," I continued. "You'll say the wrong thing. Maybe even hurt someone, or get hurt yourself. I'm not saying that because I don't believe in you—that's just sim nature. What matters is how you handle it. Learn from it, and try not to repeat your mistakes."

"Have you ever hurt anyone?" Lex asked.

I let out a huge sigh. Despite what I just said about sim nature, my mistake still bothered me.

"Yeah … I have. I was with someone when I should have been with someone else. I wasn't clear and hurt both of them."

He didn't ask for details. Just nodded. I still felt the need to add a little context, though.

"I don't recommend dating multiple girls at once. But when you get older, you might find casual dating more your style, especially if you're not ready to settle down. Or maybe you'll have friends you woohoo with. There're all kinds of relationships out there. I don't agree with them all, but it's your choice. But whatever type of relationship you choose to have, make sure everyone involved understands your intentions and their place in your life."

-The characters discussed in this ramble are high schoolers and below the age of 20. I don't know how old they are in strikers or in any other spin off, and I do not plan on playing them. Ok so its like. How ableism in school effects people in different ways and how to cope with it. This is semi headcanony? I don't know how bonkers of a statement it is? Basically its like Ryuji being mentally + physically disabled and constantly trying to fight for the best. Makoto is mentally disabled and masks for adults approval and just accepts how things are. Sumire could VERY easily be read as physically disabled I don't think I need to explain it that much. Neither of the phantom thieves fit into society in some way or another but with those three its a much more of a like. They will never fit in kind of thing.

Something that stands out to me the most is how Makoto is the only one who understands Ryujis "dumb moments".

I don't reallyyyyyyyyyyy read it as "Makoto is smarter than everyone else which is how she even begins to get him". Its more like she actually understands. She gets it.

Like lets be for eel. Makoto was basically pressured into working super hard. Theres no way she struggles with it that is only and simply in the "everyone wants me to appeal to their expectations" way.

She is smart but I feel like her studying hard is something she forces herself to do with the weight of ableism on her shoulders, which only makes it harder. I'm not sure if I'm making sense???? but Ryuji and Makoto can easily be read as having adhd. Ryuji as the typical LOL RANDOM 🤪 boy that inconveniences everyone whos actually really tired and struggling really badly and working as hard as he can. Makoto can be read as "oh, no, she isn't disabled :). She acts normal" when she really is and it pushed to the limits and can't fight against it and create a better school experience for herself because of how everyone just denies it.

Theres also Sae actively trying to make sure Makoto gets the recognition she deserves. Yes, this is because Makoto is a girl in a world where men control everything. But I personally feel like theres also this intersectionality of misogyny and ableism, which only means Makoto has to work even harder and has more weight on her shoulders.

Additionally, adhd is already ignored when it comes to girls having it, because to society, its mainly a boys thing where they jump up and down and run everywhere. Girls aren't thought to have adhd because not only do they have to mask harder to be taken seriously, but also because society ignores other symptoms and just views them as normal or not as much of an inconvenience to them personally and not to the person who actually has the disability.

You can also VERY EASILY add the idea of Makoto being japanese into all of the intersectionality stuff. Mental disorders are even HARDER to get diagnosed when you're colored,, and nobody cares until its too late. East asian readers who live/have lived in east asia are completely free to add on to this and correct me, as I don't know what it would be like when the mass majority of people you're surrounded by everyday are the same race as you, as you wouldn't have to deal with stereotypes or the system being against you (unless I am wrong :<!), but I still feel like this is DEFINITELY worth mentioning

I'm not physically disabled (I suppose? Saying this because of depression aches but they likely don't count) so I can't really be as personal about Ryujis leg and Sumires,,,,,, everything. I feel like Sumire could be read as having an invisible disability thats not taken seriously. Something something internalized ableism something something the school being so hard on her is making everything worse something something chasing to be someone else when in the end it'll never work.

Even with Sumire becoming Kasumi just because she can't imagine living as "her murderer", theres something about living as someone with different privileges and expectations than you. Theres something about not being able to be "as good" as them, especially when everyone thinks you are them. Theres something about having to struggle with something that no one can see. "This is Kasumi, not Sumire. So why is she failing so much?"

Theres also something about Ryujis "perfect world" being focused on his leg healing. Yes, hes a part of the track team again. But they aren't really the focus. Think of characters like Sumires dad, Mika, and Shibusawa. They have character portraits/sprites. While this doesn't 100% mean that they're important, it does make you remember them better. It establishes their personalities better and they're mentioned quite a bit.

Meanwhile, the side characters in Ryujis social links are just known as, well, "the track team" and "the coaches". They do have names, but, please be honest with yourself, do you remember them? And they don't have actual sprites either. Just typical modules.

Meanwhile, when you go up and talk to Ryuji, Akira/Ren/The Protagonist doesn't ask about the team or anything. Its about Ryujis leg (and also how they met I guess which is quite romantic but thats not relevant). And its normal to wish your disability wasn't there at all. I wish so everyday. Its a very common experience, especially when your disability is a roadblock to achieving your dreams.

It kind of makes me think of Maruki as........kind of ableist? At least in the context of this headcanon. Because all he is doing is encouraging Sumire and Ryuji to conform into an identity that they'll never truly be, which only hurts them more in the end.

Basically what I'm saying is that these three specifically should come together and kiss. And snuggle. Maybe make out a little. Maybe burn down shujin. I came up with a ship name for them (niijimoyoshizawa) but as you can see, its ass. So theres that.

Even if you don't end up shipping them,, then I hope you imagine them being sweet friends to each other,, or that I've gave you a different perspective on their arcs

-Jobs in the group: builder, scavenger

Weapons of choice: giant paint brush/paint, paint gun

-Head canon voice: ???

-Uses They/Them or It/It’s. Identifies as nonbinary.

-The paint vials they wears gives them emotions, they can take multiple vials at once to get different effects. If they doesn’t take any they become semi-emotionless and their eye lights tend to be a lot more boring that what they’re normally like, e.g. duller colours and not as crazy shapes. 

-Their eyes can be any shape and colour the most common shape though is a yellow star with a blue pupil. Tends to change any time they blinks, though if Their brain is buffering and they go blank brain their eyes might not change even after a few blinks.

-Has really bad memory, and also has a bad attention span. It doesn’t really seem to affect them too much, just in the past it used to annoy people, but due to the apocalypse it hasn’t really been a problem for the group. Since it’s not like they need to remember much and they’re basically seeing everyone every day so they’re not forgetting anyone either. 

-Can use their paintbrush to heal themselves, e.g. if they break a bone they can just paint over them to repair them. 

-Unsure on where their own tattoos came from, they never had them when they were a kid, but at the same time they can’t recall when they appeared. They’re partly unsure if they’re markings or tattoos.

-Always has paint on their face, even when they clean it off it's not long before another one somehow appears.  

-Will write things on their scarf. So their scarf will often have smudge stains and writing on it. May also have little doodles on it. To add to this if someone writes something on their scarf after a bit they will assume they’re the one who wrote it, which others can do to trick them into doing something.

-No concept of danger, they can very easily heal themselves with their paint. To add onto this they sometimes struggle with what is right and wrong. May just do something because they think it would be funny or interesting.

-Sometimes has antisocial behavior, but normally Blue and Dream can reel them back to reality and keep them in check. It just doesn’t register to them that some behaviour isn’t considered the norm. The others in the group tend to partly understand that Ink works like that, and tend not to question it too much.

-Before the apocalypse, they were arrested a few times for graffiti. Now often does graffiti everywhere they goes now, because it’s not like anyone can tell them not to do it anymore. The rest of the people in the group use some of the artwork as landmarks. 

-Has a “Leap first, think later” kind of mindset when it comes to things. They do things because they want to, and don’t care about consequences, “What fun is life if you're always overthinking.”

-Used to argue on Twitter about random things, would basically find anyone with an opinion and make up a worse opinion just to argue, half the sides they took during arguments they never actually stood by, they were just doing it because it was funny.

-Can use paint as a sort of ‘bag of holding’, being able to store up to 20 items which they can access at any point as long as they have paint. E.g. reaching into a paint bucket to pull out items or put items in. Works on any large quantity of paint.

-Their room looks like a tornado hit it, artwork all over the walls, floors and ceiling. Things strewn about the rooms, to anyone it looks like chaos, but to them, it’s organized chaos. If they ever tried to tidy they’d instantly forget where things are.

-Has broken the 4th wall a few times. Don’t question how they know about the 4th wall, they will not understand. And it freaks everyone else out. 

-Doesn’t tend to realize when people don’t like them, or maybe they just don’t care. If someone has ever told them why they hate them, Ink would have forgotten within a few minutes. They don’t have time for that negativity, it sounds like their (other) issue not a them (Ink) issue. 

-Sometimes trips on their scarf, will keep doing this, has fallen off of a roof before because of this. Whenever Dream sees them tripping up a bunch Dream will tie up their scarf into a bow.

-Can mimic noises really well, is good at impressions of people and making noises of some objects. Annoys others with phone notification sounds. May do sounds randomly. 

-Has one of those werewolf shirts, it's oversized and tends to wear it when just hanging around. Just loves any inherently dumb clothing. 

-professional yapper, will not shut the fuck up, not even if they get told too.

How they feel about:

Nightmare: Sees Nightmare as just some dude. Like what's up with that weird short guy. No particular strong feelings. Thinks some of Nightmare’s jokes are funny thou, pop off little man.

Dream: Sane friend, thinks he (Dream) needs to loosen up more though. Tries to rope Dream into dumb plans, will go with these plans regardless if Dream joins in on them or not. Does like hanging with Dream though, thinks he's nice.

Cross: Yet another ‘just a dude’, can get along with him well. Thinks Cross is similar to Dream in the way of always trying to keep them out of trouble. Tries to teach Cross to draw, is super encouraging about it, wants more art buddies so Cross is going to be their art buddy Whether he likes it or not.  They both yap at each other, Ink finally having another professional yapper to talk too. Half the time they won’t even be listening to each other, they just talk at the same time.

Blue: Friend, will go along with their dumb plans so they like Blue. Blue also has dumb plans that they’re 100% willing to go along with most of the time. Often tries to tag along with Blue to hanging with Error, but 50% of the time Blue doesn’t let them. 

Dust: The guy rarely speaks, so Ink yaps at him, good luck telling them to shut up when you don’t speak. Doesn’t really know Dust that well, and Dust ends up just walking away from them. At least Ink tried to get to know him at some points.

Horror: Doesn’t really know him too well, sometimes goes to hang with Blue whenever Blue is helping with the gardens. Loves asking them both questions about the plants/crops. Has shot Horror with the water hose before, is no longer allowed to help water the plants/crops.

Killer: Always cracking jokes with Killer. Killer will also join in on any dumb plans they make. So to them Killer is an ally. But also Killer will write on their scarf to mess with them. It’s not like Ink knows that its killer doing it though. 

Error: A silly guy to them. Finds Error interesting, is interested in how glitchy Error is and the strings. Thinks Error is just silly, that's their scrimblo. Will call Error babygirl as a joke, Error is aware that it’s a joke. Finds anything Error makes either it be the puppets or anything he's knitting interesting, has also dubbed Error as an art buddy, Error doesn’t agree to this though. 

Lust: A friend, claims Lust as an art buddy due to seeing the clothing Lust makes as another form of artwork. Lust also lets them yap, so they like Lust. Lust tries to convince them not to do anything dumb though.

Fell/Edge:  Makes Fell mad, doesn’t mean too, but does it by accident. They can have more chilled out moments between them both, but mainly it's Fell either telling Ink to leave, or Fell being the one to leave the situation. 

Geno: “Why are you not dead.” was the first thing Ink ever said to Geno, it wasn’t said as a question, more of a statement. Didn’t mean for it to come across as rude, but Geno took slight offense to how bluntly it was stated. They’re on better terms now with each other.

Outer: The space guy, likes to hear him talk about space. And Outer’s more chilled out vibe does help them to chill out a bit. Whenever they do any artwork to do with space Outer is always the first one to see. 

Sci: Smart guy who tells them not to mess with anything. Understandable have a good day. Doesn’t interact with Sci that much, sometimes puts googly eyes on things in secret around Sci’s office. Drives Sci insane. 

Reaper/Death:  “HOLY SHIT IS THAT THE GRIM REAPER??!!” Upon first seeing Reaper. Will play board/card games with Reaper, though half the time they (Ink) can never sit still to finish the games. Thinks Reaper is just a chill guy. 

Fresh: Another silly guy, thinks Fresh is cool, wants Fresh’s roller skates. Loves all the colours on Fresh. Doesn’t know much about Fresh though. Wasn’t paying attention when Dream had told them to be wary of Fresh.

Gans/Echo: Has only really met him a few times, Echo doesn’t give them the time of day. So they don’t really give Echo the time of day either. 

Chief: A bossy guy, loves playing pranks on him (Chief). Chief has chased them around for an hour before after catching them mid prank. Blue had to step in to save them.

Hey, I just asked sillysnaildraws and whataboutsimple this because I’m trying to make it a thing: If you were a MCSM style admin, what would you look like/ represent/ have as your symbolism/ whatever else?

I have never thought about this either-

I never actually made an oc before(that's not true- but I haven't made one for a fandom before.)

I also am not very crispy on the knowledge on the Admins(or the entirety of season 2)

But I'm willing to give it a go

Her main color would be purple (cause I like purple) but like.. I'm thinking the skin would be like.. a deep blue? Navy color? Her hair, clothes and other stuff(if I add them later-) would probably be purple though.

She has long hair. Like really long. She likes to play with the gravity and make her hair look like it's underwater. And same with her clothes. Very flowy

She has like- some glitter? Star dust thing around her. I saw how the Admins all have like.. body suits? They have a dark body suit looking thing with different designs on top I think(I need to look into them more-- I'm sorry). So I thought, let's give her a black body suit, and make glowing dust float around the suit. But, she likes covering herself. So she has like.. a big dress(cloak maybe?) on top of the body suit(which is also what I meant with flowy clothing). And since the glowing substance isn't stuck onto the body suit, it all kind of spills out and float around her dress(and her everything else) now. But you know what's the biggest thing about glitter? It gets EVERYWHERE

You always find it. No matter how hard you tried to get rid of all of it. So I like that to be the case. She doesn't mind it. But the others... they mind it a lot

Her eyes are white. Just white. The sclera, iris and pupil. Just white. And y'know, it glows and stuff

And my idea for the star dust thing is because, I thought it would be nice if she represent like... nether stars? Or just stars. (Like I said. I have no idea-)

And for the reasoning of that... she's like some sort of.. watcher. Spectator? And since stars are always in the sky(even at morning though you can't see them) I thought it would fit pretty well

She doesn't like getting involved into things. But don't get it wrong, she loves drama. In fact, she makes drama. Then steps out, relax and just watch the drama unfold.

So I would think that she doesn't like standing out too much. But still wants to be in the spotlight- if that makes any sense

So instead of staying in Admin form, she stays in like.. a makeshift human form. Since, then she would stand out when between the other Admins, but doesn't attract much attention onto herself in other occassions since she looks like a normal player(I think her Admin form kind of has a blackhole effect? Since it's flowy and her colors are very dark and all that she kind of- Well, either doesn't stand out much and becomes one with the background or overwhelms everything around her a bit)

Enjoys being alone, but will come out to meet you whenever you ask her to. She doesn't mind leaving to meet people or just have a nice walk.

Her personality- the righthand man who is planning a secret plot to overthrow the leader type. She's an ambitious one

But most of the time, she's rather childish and playful.

She's a free spirit but often doesn't know what to do. So she stayed at the other Admins towns for a while before she left to the overworld.

Once in the overworld, she started moving from town to town, making a few friends here and there. Since she stays in her human form it wasn't much of a problem. She likes rabbit(bunnies?), because of some silly legend in my country about rabbits living on the moon- and often goes stargazing. She likes to Uh- feel like she's one with the night sky. All her colors in her admin form are dark(except the sparkly stuff. Cause it sparkles)(and maybe her hair is a bit of a brighter purple than the rest of her outfit) so she could just pass by as the night sky. Makes her easy to watch things from above or not get disturbed. Or both. Both works

And this is just a silly thing I thought of(not considering to actually put this in, but thought it'd be funny) she went to the moon. She even made a small civilization there!

But jokes aside, I feel like before she started settling into different towns, she's tried to make a lot of her own. Just small towns. But they never kept her intrested enough. And she easily got bored of them. So like the free spirit she is, she just- left. Had some fun with them and just left.

I also had a thought, since she... I'm not sure if she fits in with one of the Admins. And she has a makeshift human form(not a human form of what she looks like without powers), maybe she was made by the Admins? They could do that, right? Create a living, talking... thing(Idk-)

I think I got everything I thought of written down here. As well as the answers to your question. If I understood them wrong- please tell me. And I'll try again(or just fix a few parts) after learning more about the admins-

wait hi i’m completely against the idea of brynn period. i just wanted to ask — ruinix, and kawhh, are they the friends that everyone keeps talking about that are defending her?

because if so, i’ve been waiting AGES for this topic of discussion their fics make me so incredibly disgusted and uncomfortable. i think when you’re writing fics about a celebrity or a public figure it’s so very important to remember that they are human too, and it just doesn’t look like something those two take too much into consideration.

a conversation definitely needs to be had about dark fics and dark romance in general. it's just something that has become so normalised, especially on tiktok. like every other book recommendation is about stalking or obsession or romantic coercion. add in the fact we seem to be in an epidemic of "if it's not spicy, i don't want to read it" and you are just left with a majority of new books surrounding these darker, taboo topics in an uncomfortable way.

and then it melts into fanfics, which isn't necessarily a problem when there are correct and appropriate tags informing people what the fic entails. but these darker topics have become so normalised on here too that people get away without tagging shit, and these fics begin to take over the tags. i don't think i have really touched the 'f1 x reader' or 'nhl x reader' tag in months because every fic had some level of cnc or heavy kink in it. and i hated it. it was everywhere you looked and it was too much to handle.

and i think people need to realise there's a big difference when you are writing, for example, some eddie munson fanfic where his morals are a bit skewed, and when you write about a real person. i know there was a blog who had a bunch of backlash after posting dark f1 fics, but even they mostly got away with it from what i remember.

as much as we write these boys as our own variations because we don't know them irl, it doesn't change the fact you are using their real names and writing about these heavy, dark topics in dangerous and harmful ways. it doesn't change the fact you are writing these fics like they are the norm in romance and relationships. it doesn't change the fact you are doing more harm than good.

and i don't know about those two specifically, but i know a lot of dark romance writers use the reason of healing their own trauma through these stories. and maybe that is true. maybe it is helping. but that doesn't change the fact that you are possibly feeding into someone else's trauma, that you are becoming a part of the reason that someone else might find themselves in a dangerous situation because of the wrong and incorrect depictions of these kinks you are pushing onto impressionable minds who are using your blogs as an introduction to these things

take it from someone who had unsupervised access to the internet at the age of thirteen, you are bound to stumble upon something that is not appropriate or right. and with no real warnings or discretion, you are opening it up to the reader interpreting it as normal. and sometimes you don't realise how that fucks up your perception of romance and sex until you are older and the damage is done

i'm not saying you can control who reads your shit, because you can't. but the least you could fucking do is properly tag. and the least you could do is take into consideration that these are real people's names you are putting in these fake fic scenarios, not a fictional character.

A relationship shouldn't feel like you're walking on eggshells all the time, maybe at the start but that's a whole other thing. No one should feel like they have to tell their partner every tiny miniscule little thing – and being told that you don't communicate if you don't.

Like. I get it. They're autistic and wanna talk about their fixation. But EVERY SINGLE conversation was either hours of them ranting and rambling about the same thing over and over or was a whole bout of drama that no one but a professional can really help with.

At some point they started fucking ranting about something and they got to the point where they were like, raising their voice and storming around. I couldn't fucking provide the comfort they needed. because. What the fuck do I say in that situation.

I kept apologizing about not being able to provide what they needed and yeah, they said it was fine, but even so. It was just. I was scared. I'm not going to lie to you, I was scared.

I kept fucking flinching every time they raised their voice, and it was quite clear I was physically and mentally uncomfortable, but they STILL continued. And yeah, sure, I could've told them, but THEN ID LOOK LIKE A FUCKING ASS.

Okay, I'm sorry, I went on a bit of tangent. But. Like. You get where I'm coming from, yeah?
