Price most likely wants to sneak you away here and there ���� or he likes to admire how your face lights up when you gasp at the ornate Christmas lights

Soap is a rambunctious one who will pelt you with snow balls repeatedly from his fort, or if you’re making snow angels he just flops on top of you for kisses

Gaz thinks you just look damn flawless in just about anything, he cannot tear his eyes away from you. From the “ugly Christmas sweaters” to the more dressier outfits, he just thinks you look damn flawless.

Konig is one of the more festive ones of the group, always wanting to wear the matching sweaters and shamelessly kiss you under the mistletoe

Roach likes seeing how your face lights up at all the gifts he got for you. Sure you may have gotten him what he adores, but it’s worth more to see your happiness.

Ghost likes to make hot chocolate and cookies with you so RIP to the kitchen. Also he lets out a whole barrage of compliments about you if he has one too many spiked egg nogs.

Parra just looks for more excuses during the holidays to be near/touch you, everything from wrapping presents to going on the gift shopping trips with you to dancing along to Christmas carols

A/N: gahhh i can't believe we're almost at the end of the month what. if any of you guys know of some sort of january writing challenge (like flufftober) i can participate in please tell me/tag me cus i love writing for these guys. thxxx <33

simon "ghost" riley:

alright so christmas eve for ghost is usually like his final chance to sneak off and relax before christmas day

it's not that he doesn't like christmas or anything, but soap and the others can get really intense on christmas and he just needs some alone time so he can prep for that

this has been his tradition since even before he started celebrating christmas with the task force, and so he's very particular about following it

even if it means turning down a trip to the bar/celebrating with soap

although sometimes he will indulge soap for an hour or two just because it's christmas

every christmas eve, once it hits around seven or eight a clock, he starts his annual process

the first thing he does is take a nice, hot shower to destress

he gets into some nice pajamas and a brand new mask and then brews himself a cup of tea

every year he buys a new holiday tea to try during christmas

this year it's the winter earl grey tea from david's tea

he likes the creamy vanilla and citrus flavor mixed with the malty bergamot

it's probably his new favorite

then he grabs his copy of a christmas carol by charles dickens

which he bought the first year he was in the military

and cozies up in his bed as he reads it, sipping on his tea and just enjoying the peacefulness

the slight caffeine in the tea is nice because it keeps him up long enough to finish the book despite how sleepy everything else is making him

and then once he's done he simply retires for the night

he rinses out his cup, turns off the lights, and let's himself lay in bed

if the two of you are together, then he definitely includes you in this process too

he'll brew you a cup of tea to drink with him and he'll invite you to cuddle up to him as he reads, and if you ask he's more than happy to read to you out loud

and then he spends the rest of the night cuddling with you until you fall asleep together

john "soap" mactavish:

okay so christmas eve to soap is the exact opposite of what it is to ghost

on christmas eve soap just wants to go out, drink, and have the night of his life

it started back when he first joined the military when him and a few other soldiers snuck out on christmas eve to get wasted at a bar

and he's been doing it ever since

if he can't make it to a bar then he'll just drink at home/at the base

which is what he ended up doing this year since the snowfall was especially thick and he didn't feel like shoveling

he always starts as soon as the sun sets too because he doesn't want to go over to christmas day

so he tries to end it around ten or eleven which means he starts around five or six

he invited everyone over to the bar where he deemed himself the official bartender

a job/title he immediately gave up once he realized he was spending more time making drinks than actually drinking them

for him, christmas eve is about having a great time with his friends and making memories

that's when he gets stupid drunk and enlists as many people as possible to join him in drunken singing and carousing

it's not hard for him to get the others involved

there's just something infectious about soap that makes you want to hang out with him what can i say

he always invites you to his shenanigans of course, especially if the two of you are dating

and tipsy soap is not necessarily the smartest soap so he's definitely the kind of person to try and hit on you and completely forget that he's already dating you

more than once you've had to spend the night taking care of him and making sure he doesn't blackout

it's worth it though because soap will tell you throughout the whole night and the morning after that you're the best thing to ever happen to him

that being said he never drinks so much that he's falling over

he tries to stick to drinks with less alcohol content, that way he doesn't have to deal with a mind shattering hangover the next morning

and one of his weird little traditions is that once the night is over he makes everyone have a water chugging contest

followed by multiple rounds of pedialyte shots

it started as a way to fight off the ensuing hangover and it was pretty effective so it cemented itself into tradition

kyle "gaz" garrick:

alright so honestly gaz doesn't really have much of a christmas eve tradition

he's more happy to just go with the flow and see where the day takes him

sometimes that's getting drunk with soap or sometimes it's watching a christmas movie in his pajamas

whatever it is the most important thing for gaz is that he's spending his day with you

honestly his ideal christmas eve is waking up with you by his side

he'll try and get up quietly so he can make you breakfast in bed

usually waffles because that's the only breakfast food he's good at making

then after he cleans up he'll turn on a christmas movie to watch as you guys cuddle in bed

and then after that he'll take you out to a nice lunch before everyone closes for the holidays

he likes to take you someplace nice during christmas eve

he calls it his christmas eve present

and then when you go home he'll spend the rest of the day by your side as long as you'll have him

even if you're doing something boring like last minute paperwork he'll be there cracking jokes and making it bearable

then once the sun starts going down the two of you head over to the kitchen to get drunk with soap and the others

and drunk gaz is a handsy gaz so you know he's gonna be all over you

all im gonna say is to expect a busy night with gaz on christmas eve

and if that's not your style than that's a-ok because gaz is more than happy to spend the night cozied up with you

as long as he's touching you he's happy

and yes he definitely tells you that you don't have to get him anything because you're the best gift for him

john price:

alright so price is sorta like ghost in that he likes to spend his christmas eve a little more laid back

don't get me wrong he'll go and hang out with soap and the others for a bit

but like ghost he usually only hangs around for a bit before he heads off for some alone time

he likes to cozy up in front of a fireplace (if he has one, if not he'll settle for an electric heater) and turn on the tv and channel surf mindlessly for a bit before he settles on a christmas movie he's already watched countless times

then he pulls out the washington post crossword and does that as the snow falls outside

he likes to smoke a cigar and drink a glass of nice whiskey as he does this too

if the two of you are dating he'll take you to soap's party

and if you want to stay of course he'll let you but he's more than happy to take you with him

the two of you will cozy up together on the couch

you're probably sitting on his lap too

he said he was just cold but you know he just wants you close by

you help him with his crossword whenever you know the word and he always praises you when you get it right

"ah there's my smart girl"

"you're quite the little genius, huh darling?"

he'll pour you a cup of whiskey too

but if you just want to share his he's fine with that too

once you're done with the crossword he watches the movie with you until you fall asleep

and then he takes you to the bed and falls asleep holding you

alejandro vargas:

alright so alejandro likes to spend the first half of the day pampering you

if there's a spa around that's open he'll take you there and pay for whatever treatment you want

but if not he's more than happy to pamper you himself

he's got a really extensive knowledge of skincare and wellness so you're in good hands

once that's done he likes the spend the middle of the day relaxing and doing pretty much nothing with you

maybe kissing you lazily because he doesn't have to go to work

and if you let it he's more than happy to take it a step further

eventually though he'll take you to soap's party so the two of you can have a little fun

he definitely sings you a song on soap's crappy karaoke machine

he makes it sound good though because he's just that good of a singer

alejandro is also really good at handling his alcohol so he won't get drunk

plus he just doesn't drink that much because he doesn't want to deal with a bad hangover

but lord knows if you've had one too many he'll be right by your side to take care of you and make sure you're safe

and when the night is over he'll help you change into your pajamas

which is pretty much one of his shirts

and then he'll lay you into bed and cuddle with you as you fall asleep

rodolfo "rudy" parra:

man rudy is just hyped for christmas what can i say

it's his absolute favorite holiday and while part of him loves the anticipation of christmas eve, he also can't wait for it to be over

so rudy has a very specific christmas eve regimen he follows to make the day as fun and as fast as possible

first he wakes you up with breakfast in bed, and he also brings you one of your gifts because he sucks at keeping secrets and he wants you to see it

it's a really pretty necklace with your initials on it

and he's so over the moon that you love it because he was kind of stressed about it

then he watches the entire frozen franchise

it doesn't matter if he's already watched it that month he's watching it again

you've grown used to it so you're mostly just there for the cuddles and to hear him badly sing along to each of the songs

but he's always has such a huge smile on his face as he does it you can't help but fall further in love with him

then he'll make you lunch because he's kind of scared of driving in the snow

plus he likes feeling you hug him from behind while he's cooking or chopping inbred

after that he's happy to spend the rest of the day talking/cuddling with you until it's time for soaps party

and then he'll drag you along and the two of you will be pretty much inseparable during the night

unlike the others rudy is not the best at handling his alcohol but it's okay because you're there to make sure he doesn't drink himself to a wicked hangover

and he's so thankful for you

drunk rudy says anything and everything so most of the night is narrated by rudy telling you how much he loves you and how grateful he is for you

he definitely spills the beans on some of his presents but you always pretend not to hear and act surprised so that he doesn't feel bad the next morning

Broom riding can be difficult, Carol was generally good at it but she fell hard today, she was lucky it wasn't a high fall but she must've sprained her ankle. One of the students helped her to infirmary with Vargas' permission, Carol thanked them and the student quickly left to their class as the nurse showed up.

"Wait- aand they left." he sighed, Carol knew the owner of the voice very well, turning back from the infirmary bed she smiled shyly at him "Hi Florence. Sorry to bother you." Florence looked down at her, smiling back "Bother? Not at all! It's my job after all." he walked in front of her, "So what brings you here?"

Carol told Florence about how she fell from her broom, he listened and when she finished he got up, came back with medical supplies, kneeling down in front of her he looked up. "You did sprain your ankle based on what you told me, I'll bandage it up to stop it from swelling and you can rest here for rest of the day." he was still smiling, he genuinely cared and it made her heart flutter she just hoped he wouldn't notice her face heat up. "Can you take your shoe off?" Carol nodded, "Of course!"

It almost felt like Cinderella...

Then he bandaged her ankle so gently, when it was done he gently patted her knee, "I'll bring some ice later, now you can rest, call me anytime you need me!" he got up and waved at her, pulling the curtain around the bed so she can rest comfortably. Carol laid down and imagined his smile for the rest of the day.

Oh, I have nothing fun to say about it I'm afraid! It was just a quick headcanon. I like to have headcanon for side character's cultures/religions, even if I don't know very much about it. (Eg, Carol Vargas who appears in book 5, I headcanon as being from Colombia and Catholic) and Eskander's surname in a Wattpad prequel is Pallis, which is Greek, so I just went with Greek Orthodox. I'd love to know more about it :D
