Dark Blue Moon and the Suffering Sun Capitulo 2

Danny clamped his teeth down on his kill, at last a fish big enough that to feed the both of them, and which hadn't escaped. Ear fins fanned out, he kept wary of approaching hums of boat engines. It could've been only a few minutes, but to Danny it was as if hours had passed. He'd already failed Damian once, and for his distraction he earned a new gash or two from his hunt.
Danny startled when he came back. Damian had not awoken just yet, but the transformation was complete. Dark green scales enveloped every inch of skin on his body, soft from youth. Spots of gold scales like freckles gathered around his cheeks, and at the base of each of his fins and transitioned into full golden membrane with the faintest red along the tips.
And of course, Damian had no legs, none at all, replaced by the thick sinew and muscles of a siren's tail. All of this Danny knew would happen, and expected, but he never thought about how tiny Damian looked at the moment.
From head to tailfin, Damian's new height (or length?) only equalled half of his human height. Siren children were small compared to humans, for sure, but even Youngblood was easily a head or two taller than Damian at this moment.
Before he could ruminate further, Damian's eyes shot open. Faster than Danny could blink, the new siren launched himself at Daniel with a piercing shriek of a war cry.
Damian's talons gripped onto Danny's scales, and his jaw snapped down upon his shoulder like a vice. Danny yelped and fell upon his back and bent his sail.
Damian's tiny hands wrapped around the elder boy's neck. His tiny young face twisted into an honestly shocking amount of anger and agression. His hackles rose and his fins stood at full attention.
"Where am I?! What have you done to me?! Return me to my original form or perish!" Damian spat out in hissed clicks and chirps. Despite the situation, Danny finds himself thinking he had to be really upset if he didn't even notice the change in voice.
"Answer me!" Damian hiss and bared his teeth. Danny gulped, which was difficult considering the tiny hands vice-gripping his neck. Suddenly he realised he'd never had to comfort a newly-turned before.
"H-hey hey hey now, there's no need to get all murderous over here!" That was the wrong thing to say, because suddenly there was a katana straight for his neck. "Where did you get that?!"
"From my clothes, you buffon, the clothes that you violently relieved me off. What other untoward things have you done with my body? Speak!"
"Look I didn't do anything untoward to your body I swear! I was trying to save you!"
"You mutilated me! You kidnapped me and drowned me and now you clain innocence with nothing to prove such a notion!" Damian's grip wavered for a moment, and Danny realised something. This kid was probalby scared out of his life, and his shouting wasn't helping anything. The smaller boy's gills flapped open. His breathing laboured, heavily.
"You need water. You're not gonna survive long.
"I can kill you long before that point." Gently, Danny picked the child up by the waist, his arms far outreaching the boy's tiny limbs. "Unhand my you psychotic murdering wretch!"
Horns blared in the distance. Damian's body seized up, his ear fins curling in on themselves in Danny's peripheral vision. "They've caught up to us."
"Good, now it means you can be put to justice and I reunited with my father."
Danny coiled his tail and pulled Damian against his chest, against the boy's protests. "The only thing they're gonna unite you with is a scalpel."
"I said unhand me!"
"No time!" Danny uncoiled like a spring and shot into the water. GiW agents shouted above the surface. Danny held him tight against his body. Motors roared into action and echoed through the water. Sonars rang in his ears. But they could never catch up to even a teenage siren.
Pain rocked up his arm. Danny loosed his grip, and Damian slipped out. After floundering for just a few seconds, Damian righted himself and bolted for the ships. The speed at which he made for the freaking GiW shocked Danny. This kid was a human less than an hour ago!
Shit. "Where the heck are you going?!" Danny shouted. He wasted precious seconds turning around and doubling back. "They're not gonna help you Damian!"
"You cannot fool me with your temptations, siren!" Daman spat out. Then he did the absolute worst thing. He surfaced.
Danny's heart sank again. No, no, not again. He pushed through as fast as he could. Damian shouted something above the water. An agent in cold sunglasses aimed a gun at him.
Damian seemed to realise his mistake. He tried to evade the attack, but his strange body just left him rolling over in place.
Danny's eyes glowed blue. Seawater froze into ice in his hands, and he tossed the spear over water. The spear landed an inch away from where the agent was standing. In his shock, he lowered his gun. Danny shot forward. He grabbed Damian's hand and pulled him away. Harpoons flew into the water. Danny ducked and weaved through all of them and full speed. Soon they were far behind the horizon.

Some kind of Danny and Damian are twins au, but Dan is the one who remembers, not Danny.
SOmething about how the brain blocks traumatic memories, but Dan doesn't have a brain anymore, does he, so he unlocks the truth when he fuses with Plasmius. He relishes killing the Grandfather, the Mother, the Brother, the Family, all who threw him aside and abandoned him (murdered, he was murdered by his family--)
But now he's back in the past, he's getting redeemed, and he has his big sister, and parents who love him, and a little sister, and even a little brother once again-
But sometimes he has trouble remembering who the real little brother is, Danny or Damian, and Danny doesn't remember, might not ever remember, Dan wishes he didn't remember because now he jumps at every shadow (Grandfather is coming for them--) and he barely sleeps and his clone body needs sleep, and he ends up thinking-
Maybe he should kill his old family again. Just for his own peace of mind.

Red Robin was chatting with Spoiler on the rooftops when they heard something odd. Looking up they saw a bright green swirling portal open up in the sky and what looked like a black plane burst out of it, the fact it was smoking and descending at an odd angle told them the plane had likely been hit
Before they had time to react the plane crashed into and through a few buildings, changing its direction a few times like a demented bouncy ball before skidding to a stop in the streets just outside the Hoods territory.
By the time they got there Red Hood was already freaking out and aiming his gun at a glowing green puppy that was barking angrily at him. They joked a bit about Hood being afraid of such a small dog until he admitted the pit water inside him was freaking out.
The plane(?) Itself seemed to be leaking a glowing green ooze that seemed a little too similar for comfort as the black plane turned silver for an unknown reason. RR took to collecting samples from the varying consistencys of liquids while Spoiler went inside to check for survivors. The place looked trashed, items and papers scattered all over the floors along with broken beakers and other lab equipment, there was even a toppled over fridge she had to walk around.
Slumped in the pilot seat was a glowing boy with white hair who couldn't have been much younger than her and RR. Placing fingers on his neck she searched for a pulse and was dismayed to find nothing. The boy was already ice cold.
Carrying the boy out was no problem, he was concerningly light and scrawny, making her wonder what type of life he had lived before crashlanding in Gotham. Meeting eyes with Batman, who had just arrived on the scene with Robin, she shook her head and everyone had a moment of silence.
That silence was broken by a startled Robin when the puppy decided to play tug o war with his cape. Robin managed to convince Batman to let him keep the dog by pointing out it glowed and was likely to be experimented on if it was left at a shelter.
After getting home and sending everyone to bed Batman headed over to wear he had layed the boys remains, turned on a bright medical light over him and readied a scalpel.
This is how Phantom woke up in the batcave about to be dissected.

As much as I hate to say it, and as much as I love Jason ToddI'm gonna need DC to kill him again, and keep him dead this time.
Now before you come at me, let me explain why I think this. Jason Todd is a character that while alive will always be connected to Gotham, and because of his differing morals with Batman, he will always be in a cycle of conflict with him. We saw it in UTRH, we saw it in RHATO, we saw it in Gotham Wars. Because Jason isn't a villain (I feel like in UTRH he was an anti-hero, and any actions that didn't align with the morals he set during that time is because he was villainized by Batman) Bruce's actions feel overtly brutal (batarang to the neck, beating him so har his helmet broke, chemically altering him to feel fear) especially since it's towards his SON the one he claims to have mourned. It's a vicious cycle that isn't fair to Jason, and it's major character assassination of Bruce. It's overdone and I am sick and tired of it, but I do not see either characters backing down from their moral stances.
Now you might be thinking, just because Bruce and Jason don't get along doesn't mean they can't make up-- they've tried. Multiple time. Every time Jason and Bruce take a step in the direction of being close to each other again, Bruce becomes a control freak and abuses Jason like he's his own personal punching bag, and there's only so many times someone can forgive someone before enough is enough.
But I still haven't explained why specifically I think Jason should die again. And it's because of two reasons. Jason deserves peace, and as long as he's a ghost walking on earth, he won't be able to get that.
Also because it would make Great Angst.
We all know Bruce would break if he lost Jason again. He's going to push everyone away, and if you're going to have Bruce push everyone away, give him consequences for his actions.but we saw how protective Dick got during Gotham Wars. Just imagine Dick walking up towards Bruce and saying, "It might've been my fault last time for not picking up his calls, but this time, you can't deny that this, is all your fault."
"How dare you! He was my son!"
"You lost him once, and when he came back you treated him worse than any of the loonies in Arkham. You don't miss him at all. You only feel guilty because of your goddamned savior complex. You only treat him like your son when he's dead."
and while we're at it, maybe Tim can have a complete crisis. He had to pick up the pieces of Bruce in the aftermath of Jason's death last time, and look where that got him. All of his friends and family died. He was never truly recognized for guiding Bruce out of the dark, and we all know that Tim is one inconvenience from killing a bitch. Maybe this is it. I actually think it would be hilarious for Tim to take up the Red Hood mantle, Only to screw with Bruce. Because he knows that's what Jason would've wanted.
Have Damian afraid of what Bruce has become in guilt. Have Damians castle of worship for his father come tumbling down, because Damian always knew his father loved all of the previous Robins more than him, and if his father no longer wanted them, what was stopping Bruce from sending him back to the League.
Like DC if you're going to use Jason as a catalyst for an event, kill him off again. last time it was on a whim. This time, do it on purpose. This time, give his death a purpose. This time, make sure his death changes something, because god, Bruce has fucked up so much.
