Vlad and Danny are in a ghost fight. Vlad hits him with an attack forcing him human.
Just then a portal opens. Vlads attack continues and they both crash through the portal. Danny crashing into the floor in the center of a Wayne gala.
To everyone else they see a wannabe vampire look alike just attacking a random black hair blue eyed teen. Forcing him through a portal.

Post Adam
CW just in case for drawing under the cut: heavy scarring, blood, implied near life ending wound
Did you know that sometimes after being struck by lightning human skin can be left with temporary fern-like markings called Lichtenberg figures? Well you do now!
Anyways so I was attempting to fuck around with a slightly new rendering style (mainly visible in the eyes lol) and used this doodle I made of Lovely after the Adam Incident to practice with it. Didn’t want to leave it with just a plain background so I made this one and now it unintentionally looks kind of like I made it to be a pfp lol

Who are you?
Dick was asked to pick up Damian from the dog park on his way home from Blud. When he wasn’t standing at the entrance Dick went in to go find him, stretch his legs and all. The last place he expected to find his baby brother was unconscious in the bushes. He had dark fresh bruises on his face, and Titus was nowhere in sight.
Whoever did this to his little brother will have hell to pay. That would have to come later though, the most important thing right now is getting Damian home.
Once he had the boy settled in the car he immediately calls Bruce as he starts to drive.
“Hello-“
“Bruce! Something happened at the park! I found Damian unconscious, bloody, and bruised in the bushes!” Dick struggled to hide the anger he was feeling right now. “Prep the medbay!”
Not even waiting to hear Bruce’s response he hangs up the call. Dick can’t handle a productive conversation right now, not when his brother lays silently in the backseat of his car.
It only took him a few more minutes to finally reach the manor, and when he did Bruce was already standing outside waiting for them. As soon as the car was stopped the back door was being thrown open, and Damian was being carried inside before being brought down to the cave.
Alfred, already down there, immediately went to work on patching the little boy up. At the same time Dick and Bruce discussed what the next steps will be.
About ten or so minutes pass, and in the middle of them talking another figure—and a dog—angrily enters the cave.
“Grayson!” Damian snarled, “because of you I had to call Drake to get me! What do you have to say for yourself!”
Dick was flabbergasted with what he saw in front of him, but it also provided clarity to the situation.
The boy in the bush looked exactly like Damian, yes. But the clothes he was wearing was nothing his brother would ever wear. He had old scars that didn’t match up.
Looking towards the med bay he had only one thought.
Who was the boy he found, and why did he look like Damian?

Dying is a pain
Danny POV
Danny was both lucky and unlucky. Due to being a halfa his Death Day was slightly different from a regular ghost. Instead of spending the whole day reliving a phantom (hah!) death he got to experience it only once, at the exact time of his death. Unfortunately he got the full experience instead of just feeling echoes.
It normally took him a couple days to recover and his control was a bit fritzy, especially since it seemed like new powers showed up soon after.
To add to Danny’s bad luck just before his DD he fell through a natural portal into the darkest city he’s ever seen. So now he has to find a place to hide where no one will hear him scream when he relives his death. He’s on a time crunch and finding a way home isn’t even on the schedule!
Ugh why is this his life…
Jason POV
Jason had been feeling antsy. Something was going to happen and he didn’t like the wait. Whatever it was he didn’t find it when patrolling so he circles back to one of his more unused safe houses. It’s not paranoia if they are out to get you after all.
He was not expecting to find a kid after he entered. He was adoption bait too. He didn’t even get a word out before the kid sighed and spoke. “I don’t have time to explain anything so just know that I will be fine and need to ride it out. No hospitals.”
Jason barely had time to parse out what he said before he could almost hear a faint whine of building electricity and then the kid was screaming.
#dp x dc#dpxdc#dc x dp#dcxdp#Jason is not having a good time#Danny isn’t in Phantom form because that is how it was during his accident#That is also why he didn’t destroy a chunk of the city with his Wail#During his recovery after Danny finds out Jason knows nothing about being once dead#No the portal was not Clockwork’s fault. Hello! Can do a chapter fic off this fic prompt Danny phantom x dc: https://www.tumblr.com/corkinavoid/767516270934556672/dpxdc-legal-power?source=share
This isn’t a one-to-one recreation of that dialogue but it’s based on that as a framework/premise
Batman dropped down into the room behind a pair of figures—a teenage boy and a slumped adult—letting his landing create an audible thump to alert them of his presence.
If the teen noticed, he didn’t react. Even as Bruce approached, he continued to stare impassively at the wheezing figure on the ground, an old wooden bat with flaking green paint on its side loosely held in his right hand. Bruce had already suspected who the figure would be since he arrived, but seeing the Joker so broken was still bizarre. No laughing, no schemes. He didn’t even seem to be attempting to escape his binds, just… lying there, almost as if pinned in place.
Bruce paused a step behind the teen. “I don’t know what the Joker did to you, but this isn’t the right way to go about this.”
The teen scoffed, and Bruce felt a painful lurch in his chest as he was reminded oh so strongly of his son Jason. “And what, let him go kill more people?”
“I know he deserves to face justice, but not like this. Everyone deserves a right to fair trial. No one person should be judge, jury, and executioner.”
The teen turned to look at him with glowing green eyes, and Batman felt himself freeze. He had faced gods before, yet even using that as a comparison felt like an understatement. The boy’s eyes belonged to someone far older than his teenage form implied, and they radiated power. Inevitability.
When the teen—no, the entity—spoke again, his words carried an unearthly echo. “Perhaps, but I’m not acting for just myself.” He paused, glanced down at the Joker, then asked almost conversationally, “Do you know how many people he’s killed?”
Another pause, but before Bruce could even try to answer, the entity continued, “Eight hundred and fifty-six. He’s ended the lives of eight hundred and fifty-six human souls. I can tell you about every single one, if you want. About who they were, what their dreams were before he killed them. About the pain they felt at his hands.”
He punctuated the word ‘pain’ by raising up the wooden bat in his hands and ramming its end down onto the Joker’s arm. He let out a wheeze, muffled by the gag in his mouth.
“I have a duty to my people. I am the King of the In-Between and of all the souls that pass through it—even ones whose stays were as brief as his. I am the rightful arbiter of his fate. And with that power, I sentence him to death.”
He raised the bat again, adjusting his grip so he’d hit with the side rather than the end this time, then paused and let out a chuckle. “Of course, just because it’s based on some justice doesn’t mean I can’t have a bit of fun with it too.” He swung the bat down, slamming it into the Joker’s side, then hooked it under the clown’s torso and flicked him up through the air to slam into the wall. “We all really hate this guy.”
With the entity’s attention fully turned away from him as he sauntered towards the Joker’s slumped figure, Bruce could finally unfreeze himself.
Even if the Ghost King did have the right to pass judgement on Joker, Bruce still couldn’t let torture go on like this. He wouldn’t win a direct fight, but he could hopefully at least grab the Joker and bring him over to the police. Carefully, he reached for some of the smoke bombs and batarangs on his belt and readied his grapple. He’d have to do this very, very fast.
But before he could move, another figure entered the scene. Red Hood, emerging from the shadows on the far side of the room, an unexpected bit of a pep to his step.
“Nice to see someone else who gets that that bastard needs to die. But if I may make a suggestion, how ‘bout you use a crowbar instead of that old bat? It’d be a bit more… fitting.”
#asks#prompt fill#btw about that kill count number - the dc wiki page on “Joker’s body count” said two numbers 671+ and 185+ (for different continuities?)#so i just added those two together to get a plausible-ish –feeling exact value for “671+”#danny fenton kills the joker#ghost king danny fenton#also i know Bruce is sorta the antagonist here but I’m trying my best to present him fairly#a vigilante having a code against killing people is a good thing! right to fair trial is important!#yeah the Joker probably should be executed but I don’t think Bruce is a bad person for not doing it himself#the legal system exists!! why are you asking the extrajudicial vigilante who specifically has a no-kill rule to do it??#i feel like Joker getting sentenced to death would be the “logical” end to the situation; the Joker is gone and Batman’s code is intact#(you know. were it “real life” and not a comic with the whole “we’re not gonna kill off someone that iconic!” thing)#and also him planning to step in against Danny isn’t about “the joker has to live” it’s about “torture is wrong”#he’s (cautiously) believing of the “legal right” part so if they showed the legal sentence and executed him “cleanly” he’d be fine#(obviously he supports reforming criminals but in the Joker’s case I think he’d accept a fair trial saying “death” as okay)#or in other words Batman isn’t pro-life; he’s pro-choice(-by-the-courts) (/hj)#dp x dc#dpxdc#dc x dp#dcxdp#danny phantom x dc#danny phantom x dc crossover#dpxdc the joker#dpxdc bruce wayne#dpxdc jason todd#also btw i’m sorry danny’s words are so pretentious/OOC feeling (well. at least to me they are)#it feels awkward to me too but it felt kinda necessary to match the vibe of the original thing#maybe he’s sorta sharing his thoughts with some judicial-y ghosts or etc who are influencing it#i did specifically want to imply the victims are affecting him at least a little (echoey voice + “*we* hate him”)#or maybe he’s just been King for a long while and has had time to get a bit more “kingly”

Ok it closes out on me when I tried typing it the first time-
Anyway, I'm a sucker for shock value ones, just so funny to me, so how about M'gann being nervous about introducing bf danny and it happens at an inconvenient time! Could go ghost royalty, ancient of space or anything, hell ghost as dragons would be pretty funny, up to you though!
I'm not sure if I did a good job at this, but I didn't want you to wait too long and real life is keepimg me busier than expected, so for now, it's here. I may continue it one day (I also have different version of fill for this prompt, because neither idea felt right, so if you'd like to see I too, just let me know whatever way is most convenient to you)
This wasn't supposed to happen like that. M'gann didn't have a super detailed plan on how it was supposed to happen, but even her vague (thought and rethought every night) ideas were anything but this. It was supposed to be a calm, low-stakes situation. Maybe even make it look like an accidental meeting, Team in civies hanging out around Happy Harbour, bumping into Danny and then she'd just introduced him, perhaps adding ‘btw, he is my boyfriend’ almost like an afterthought. This seemed like the best possible scenario.
This was also, as expected with the way hero life is, the exact opposite of what actually happened.
Of course, it didn’t start with anything heralding the absolute disaster this day had to become. Kinda accidentally the Team stumbled upon something between a cave and a basement, and in it a group of people, who decided to perform a summoning of a genie so they could… wish for stuff. They didn’t even look like cultists or villains of any sort, just a group of random adults from seemingly very different backgrounds. M’gann had a really hard time understanding what actually brought them together other than their wishes.
Which was actually pretty useful when it came to fighting them, because nobody really cared about their fellow summoner, just trying to save their own butt. She kinda wished more of their opponents were so incompetent.
Though, she spoke too soon because in the excitement of the fight, somehow all of them didn’t realize that one or two of the summoners… actually managed to finish a summoning. It was honestly a little bit embarrassing.
But, it was too late to dwell on all that, as right above the summoning circle appeared a circle in a worryingly familiar shade of green.
Of course, this one time she didn’t have any equipment from Danny, had to be when the Team encountered a ghost.
Ghost in question was a beautiful woman, with long hair covering one of her eyes, in a blue outfit that was related to one of Earth cultures, but M’gann didn’t know which, and a bunch of bracelets on her wrists. Martian could make a hazard guess on who it was, based on the stories Danny told her.
“We don’t have time for explanations, I think I know who this is, if I’m right for the love of everything that’s dear to you, don’t say the word ‘wish’ out loud” she demanded over the Mindlink.
Before she finished, Artemis took silver tape from somewhere and slapped a piece of it over Wally’s mouth. M’gann understood the sentiment but still… it was a little bit too nuclear option.
Desiree (if it was her) didn’t attack anyone, looking a bit confused, giving Team a moment of reprieve to plan and for Kid Flash to make sure none of the summoners could make whatever wish they wanted either. Also with the use of silver tape. Djinn’s were always tricky.
M'gann used this moment of everyone getting their bearings to curse herself for not bringing any ghost weapons this time. Any other mission, Team or not, she had something on her but today? Today she had nothing.
Excluding the summoning engraved into clips holding her cape but it was kinda last resort. It wouldn't annihilate everything in one mile radius or something but she didn't want to drag Danny there if he was during a test, other ghost fight or something. She knew better than anyone that he didn’t need more distractions.
Conner crashed into a wall right next to her. Artemis seemed to lose her cool when none of her arrows seemed to reach the ghost while Robin was trying to make some counter plans with Kaldur. They couldn't do a thing to Desiree and it was a matter of seconds before she stopped entertaining them and went to the city. It… would end badly, most likely. Danny would prefer to get involved before it got that far. Yeah…
She really wished she didn’t have to call.
“I have an idea, cover for me for a minute or two”
“Bold of you to assume we can stop her from anything”
“I believe in you Wally. Just distract her”
“My water attacks seem to be effective weapon against her”
“That’s aster! What do you plan to do, M'gann?”
“Summon another ghost”
She expertly ignored yelling that followed, taking the golden clip off of her cape. She held fabric in place with absentminded use of telekinesis, while she focused on an engraved pattern. Danny's summoning circle wasn't actually too complicated or intricate but she needed to do it just right. And frankly, she just liked looking at it. Physical proof that her boyfriend would be there if she needed it. Drawn representation of who he is, the deepest and truest parts of his soul written in the language that only Universe itself could fully understand.
And it was beautiful. Absolutely incredible. Much better than Desiree's circle, thank you very much.
M’gann dropped to her knees and grabbed leftover chalk from previous summoning and crouched to quickly draw Danny's seal. She had a lot of practice from all the times she doodled it on a whim just to get something of him with her when she missed him the most. She rarely actually summoned him, again, it was difficult to align their schedules, but she was very familiar with the first step.
And it was really easy from there.
She placed the clip in the middle of the circle, shapeshifted one of her nails to get a bit of blood on the chalk and leaned back.
After a careful, deep breath, she started an incantation, putting as much power in her voice as she could.
“I call upon you guard of Amity Park, I call upon you dearest child of the Ice, I call upon you one favored by the Time, I call upon you vanquisher of the Fear, I call upon you subduer of the King, I call upon you defender and the guide, I call upon Phantom, both worlds beloved child”
Circle erupted in green light, putting a momentary pause to the fight. M’gann was still blinking spots away when a figure flung itself out of the summoning circle, right at the Desiree.
“What the fuck?!”
Only after the first punch was thrown did Danny turn back to her, with his usual, somehow both gallant and bashful smile, that without fault made her knees get a little weaker. She smiled back.
“Hello Starlight” he greeted, sounding almost casual.
“Starlight?”
“Hi Angel. Nice of you to drop by” she answered in the same manner. Wally tried to yell from behind the duck tape.
“Angel?! M'gann, who is he? Who is she?!”
“I will always come if you call” he said without any doubt, suddenly as serious as if he was sharing information that could break or make the world.
It certainly worked like that to her world. She actually melted a little on the inside.
“I know”
“Actually, that's kinda cute. I still have no idea who this is, but you go girl”
“I feel like it's not the right time Artemis”
“Not to interrupt… whatever this is, but the other ghost is escaping” Robin cut in “Also, if you want to make out afterwards, please find the room, Batman and Catwoman are traumatizing enough“
Few people snorted, while Danny blushed green. He darted back at Desiree, clearly to escape the embarrassment. M’gann stood up, totally at ease now, that he was there to take care of it.
“Will you need a hand? I don't have any tech but we have a trick or two up our sleeves!” she asked, projecting her voice so it carried through the cavernous basement without yelling.
“I'm good for now but thanks for asking!”
“M’gann, can you give us anything substantial? Who is this? How do you know him?”
“One question at the time and let's wait until he finishes, okay?“
She cut off Mindlink before anyone agreed or protested.
“Miss Martian!”
“Soup time!”
With a blast of light, Desiree got sucked in and Danny landed in front of them with a proud grin.
“My job here is done”
“It truly is. You're getting faster too”
“And thanks to who is that?”
“You”
Danny sent her both an incredulous and playful glare.
“Of course. I miraculously found a ways to not be a mess and don't crash through every wall on my way and–”
“Well, no but–”
“Let me remind you, you're not alone… also who are you dude? And where did the other lady go?” Wally asked, right after ripping the duct tape off his mouth.
“Oh, well, I'm Phantom, I usually work in Amity Park?” he said a bit unsure, as if calling him a protector was under any question. That just wouldn't do.
“He's a hero from Amity Park”
“Thanks love. It's nice to finally meet you all. M talked a lot about you!”
“Can't say same about you, sorry”
“That's fine. I know M was agonizing over how to introduce me in the best way possible. I'm really happy it's finally over,” he paused for a moment, with his brows furrowed “Did I do good? This first impression thing?”
“You're… far less imposing that I personally expected after hearing Miss Martian summoning you, but–”
“M’gann how could you hide this from us?” Conner blurted out quietly, and oh, he sounded so utterly crushed. Everyone fell silent, the playful atmosphere gone as if it had evaporated.
“I never intentionally hid it. It wasn't significant enough to mention at the start and when it became important I felt like I couldn't just drop it at you during lunch or something. I always planned to tell you, there was just never the right time nor right words. I never wanted to hide it.”
“Even just me?”
“Especially you”
“You still should've…”
“Yeah, I should. I'm sorry”
“How long ago have you met?”
“Half a year ago,” Danny said before she managed to answer “It's all kinda my fault actually. I was really set on not getting mixed up with more hero business than I had to back then. I didn't want you or Justice League finding out about me. And when I agreed, it was already really late. I'm sure she'd told you all from the get go if I let her, I'm sorry”
“Why wouldn't you want us to know about you?”
“It's… Probably not the conversation we should have right here, over gagged wannabe cultists.”
“Valid. Let's call the cops and get going. You two have much to explain”
“And you're sitting eight feet apart until you do!”
Danny leaned in to kiss her, quick and playful, before he jumped back at the demanded distance.
“Well, this still went better than at your side”
“Absolutely”

Would anyone be interested in a Danny Phantom Planned!AU (Drs Fenton intentionally caused the “accident” to give Danny his powers) told from the perspective of one of his clones?
#danny phantom#fanfic idea#kinda fucked up the half story I have imagined#Idk how it’s gonna end until I start writing it#Maddie Fenton is pretty fucked up in this tho#Jack too just not as bad#Vlad is somewhere in the middle in a different way#no good adults#I think Danny is actually smart just only in what he cares about and in the show he doesn’t get that chance#because the requirements for being an astronaut#you don’t just get that if you don’t know what you’re doing#anyways Danny’s clone is given the chance to be smart#and then makes it everyone’s (Maddie and vlad’s) problem#I also desperately want to write completely codependent relationships#But like#one sided#I need to write about a kid who would burn the world to save his brother who doesn’t even see him#Who doesn’t even know he’s fighting for him tooth and nail#To make sure Danny isn’t the one on the operating table next time#Idk would anyone be interested?

Anybody else make covers for fanfics they read on their kindle so they’re easier to sort through?
Yeah me neither👀
Sources:
The fanart I believe is @Izbubbles on insta!
(Sorry if this comes off as bad practice, but of course this isn’t my art and I don’t share the covers I make anywhere. Except for obviously this pic of one on my kindle)
The fanfic is Danny’s daycare by robinsegghead on AO3!
#dpxdc#danny phantom#batfamily#I haven’t read this fic clearly#I’m not sure if Tucker and sam are gonna be in it yet#but this based on the summary sEEMs like the vibe#I only do this when I’m absolutely addicted to fics and have too much time in my hands#which isn’t often but it’s weird that’s it’s happened a couple of times now#hope the fic is good I’m excited to read it!#kindle#fanfiction recommendation#ao3

i’m afraid of doing comics abt myself bc the grendelmenz industrial complex pisses me off (not grendelmenz specifically but that sphere of uberabstracted poetic autobio so often falls short into being embarrassing) and i think so often in autobio comics people display this really miserable solipsistic attitude like i’m the only person in the whole world who is bipolar but duckfina is soooo good it makes me want to or feel like i could…
#my feeling so often is something interesting and horrible happened to me but something interesting and horrible has happened to everyone#and what do i have to say that’s unique about it and honestly i don’t know if it would feel good to get it out bc i don’t have anything#to say about it really and maybe it’s mine and i want to keep it. i’m figuring one abt dana and so that’s about it basically#but danny doesn’t really have the same feelings abt it as i do i think bc all of his friends are thru dana like me#but i don’t have those friends anymore so there isn’t the same centering. i want ppl to talk abt it all the time and he wishes they wouldnt

That’s your dad?!?
First up, this is set centuries into the future. Danny is the ghost king and ancient of space and has taken Ellie (I like that name for her better) in as his daughter.
As is normal for all families, Danny and Ellie don’t always agree on everything. One particular point of contention between the two is Danny being overprotective. She understands that it’s in his nature as a protector spirt but that doesn’t make it any less annoying to have him hovering over her all the time. Just because she’s eternally 12 doesn’t mean she’s defenceless.
After one particularly bad fight between the two she flies off into a random dimension to get some space. The dimension she ends up in being the dc one. After awhile a just exploring and following the heroes of this world she has an idea. What better way to show to her dad that she can handle herself than by becoming a hero?
She introduces herself to the heroes of this world and (after confirming with JLD that she is in fact a ghost and she does in fact have good interiors) ends up joining one of the younger teams (I’m parcel to YJ but teen titans works to)
Now here’s the thing about Ellie. Just like her dad she sucks at explaining things. It just isn’t her strong suit. So when one of them asks about her death, she (after explaining they shouldn’t ask that) explains that she’s a neverborn. She never died, she’s just always been a ghost. Later on when someone asks her how neverborns come to exist she gives the ‘ectoplasm forming about an idea or concept’ explaining and completely forget to mention that’s not the only way.
Needless to say, the team think she doesn’t have parents. Especially adding on the fact she’s still a little pissed at Danny so doesn’t talk about him.
This lead to them being very confused when, in the middle of a huge alien invasion that they were very much about to lose, Ellie yells out “DAD!!!”
That confusion turns into terror when the night sky itself opens its eyes.

Dp x dc idea 163
Danny learns while being held by the Giw that he can in fact make portals. For whatever reason he can call the portal even with anti ecto cuffs. They start out small and unstable. Disappearing with the blink of an eye.
It’s only when he is being dissected it’s a fully formed portal. Only lasting long enough to engulf him. Table and all.
He has no idea where he’ll end up. All he knows is it’s somewhere on earth and he is still strapped to the table.
Some potential places he could end up. The Kent’s barn, in front of Martian manhunter, in the middle of the gala, the middle of a legion of doom meeting, the middle of the justice league, maybe even in the middle of a Wayne family dinner.
#dpxdc#disection#Danny is not having a good time#but hey#he can make portals now#literally could end up anywhere#imagine it’s the gala then the next month brucie Wayne adopted the kid#Martian manhunter. nop he isn’t having that. how dare whoever did this#Superman home for a family dinner. poof heartbeat in the barn#ma and pa will help and take in that child#so many places he could end up#the Giw are gonna have fun pretty soon#my thinking on why it works is cause he was born ghost wise from a portal#he is calling to it#not using his powers#just manipulating what is around#idk#that’s my thought process#tangles ideas

Disney princess Danny
It’s known that animals can sense death. Instances where pets gravitate to someone on their death bed and dogs barking at ghosts. Danny already knew this from before he half died, so he was expecting animals to rat him out with their sixth sense or become aggressive or cower from him. Instead, they all behaved the complete opposite than he anticipated.
Stray cats come running to rub against his legs, dogs nearly pull arms out of their owners sockets to get close to him, birds bring him trinkets, raccoons lead him to trash cans full of food, and even squirrels and rats get close to just sit on his shoulders. It’s… weird, but not unwelcome. He always loved animals.
Danny had come to semi-trust the animals that come to him. They know where the good food is and drinking water, they know when to steer away from a certain area right before something happens, and they always know when a person is bad or okay. So when an animal leads him somewhere, he follows. Sometimes they need help and he’s the one they go to. He’s helped plenty of raccoons out of garbage bins and cats out of gutters to have a good relationship with the animals of the streets.
What he isn’t expecting is to be led to Robin again and again.
The first time it was a cat. A mangy old Tom cat that rubbed against his torn up jeans and looked back with - Danny swears- a raised eyebrow. Danny follows and soon enough he finds himself standing a few paces away from Robin who is kneeling down to give clean water to the momma cat and her three kittens.
Robin freezes and so does Danny. They stare at each other.
“Um, hi?”
Robin straightens immediately, leaving the water on the ground where the cats can drink. Tom cat swaggers over to guard them.
“Civilian. Is there something I can assist you with?”
The dude is probably a year or two younger than Danny himself and he has to suppress a smile at the formal tone.
“Oh, uh, no? The cat just led me here.”
He can see Robin glance at the Tom cat who was now licking himself.
“Is that so?”
“Yea. Sorry to interrupt. Animals just like me for some reason.”
The three kittens one by one all totter over to him on unsteady legs after they had their fill. The orange one starts trying to climb his pant leg with its short and sharp claws digging into the jean material.
“They really like me.”
He carefully sits down crossed legged so the others could also climb all over him. Robin watches for a moment silently and when he sees Danny react well to the little pricks from tiny claws, he seems it safe enough to return to patrol.
The second time it’s a couple of rats that lure him away to find Robin fighting off more thugs than he probably should by himself. So taking the rats’ movements as encouragement, he takes the closest thing, a piece of plywood, and hit the nearest guy over the head with it. The guy crumbles like a wet sock and Danny is moving on to the next thug.
They sweep the floor with these guys with only a few splinters and a twisted ankle.
“It was dangerous to intervene,” Robin tells him. “I had it handled.”
“Yea, I know.”
The vigilante didn’t seem to be expecting that response from his stunned silence. He straightens as much as he can with bruised ribs.
“Well, I’m glad you know your mistake. Don’t let it happen again.”
Danny neither agrees nor disagrees, just shrugs and allow the rats to climb up his leg to his shoulder. Robin looks at them curiously. Danny gives a salute before leaving. Robin gives him a nod.
The third time it happened the roles are reversed.
Some people from the local gang are bullying the lonely, homeless teen to run drugs for them. They don’t seem to understand the word ‘no’. It gets to the point where Danny finds himself with his back against the wall and all his exits blocked with a guy shoving him again and again.
“Stop it!”
“I’ll stop if you agree.”
“I’m not doing it!”
Frank the raccoon and his buddy Bobby launch themselves at the guy’s ankles. The guy shrieks and pulls a gun.
“No!”
Before Danny can dive for it, a projectile comes out of nowhere to knock it out of his hands. He can’t even process what happened before the three are running away, two raccoons chattering at their heels before coming back to crowd him in worry.
Danny looks up to see Robin with a sword out threateningly, staring at where the three fled. He sheaths the sword after a few seconds.
“Are you okay?”
Danny realizes he’s breathing a little heavy and slows down a bit as he leans over to pet the top of the two heads.
“I’m- yea, I’m okay. Thanks for the save. Those guys were jerks.”
“I’m inclined to agree.”
Robin is staring at the raccoons and it takes Danny a long moment to piece things together.
“Did- did they lead you to me?”
Robin doesn’t answer right away.
“You have loyal friends.”
Danny smiles at the weird compliment. Looking down at the two heroes of the evening Danny is also inclined to agree.
The fourth time is funny in a way Danny doesn’t know how to describe.
It was the pigeons. They were at fault of course for how Robin’s secret identity was outed. By pigeons.
The grey birds swarmed Danny and settled in a cloud of feathers. One holding something in its beak before plopping it down in his lap like a golden retriever. It flaps off as Danny picks up the obvious wallet clip holding quite a bit of cash and a student ID. The card says Damian Wayne from Gotham Academy. Just then Robin comes skidding around the corner, clearly out of breath and freezes.
Danny looks down at the clip in his hand and back up at the vigilante. He looks at the crazy amount of birds around him and again at the vigilante.
Said vigilante straightens and approaches like he called Danny there.
“If I could have that so I could return it to its proper owner.”
He holds out a hand with false arrogance, but Danny can see the nervousness in his stance. Danny looks down one last time before putting the clip in the outstretched hand without a word.
Robin nods once, pockets the ID and money, and immediately leaves.
The fifth time just cements what Danny had already figured out.
He was at the park. Not Ivy’s park of course, the one where people actually like to go. He was helping the squirrels find and hide acorns when he’s nearly knocked over by a massive black dog.
“Titus!”
The end of the Great Dane’s leash is a familiar face. Damian Wayne’s eyes widen in recognition as he finally sees who Titus was so excited to get to.
“Uh-“
Danny has to close his mouth quickly or else the massive tongue on his face would have turned into a French kiss.
“Titus! Heel!”
Danny laughs at the embarrassed blush on the other’s face, obviously not used to his companion going off the rails like this.
“It’s alright. We both know how animals like me.”
Damian narrows his eyes to analyze the teen. Danny wasn’t about to pretend and Damian looked like he was debating whether to follow his lead or not. There was literally no one within hearing distance.
“Have you told anyone?”
Danny thought about redirecting, but thought better of it. He actually liked Robin and what he did.
“Nope. I haven’t and I won’t. I swear.”
Damian tilts his head and then looks down at Titus. He seems to come to a decision before looking back at Danny.
“You’re homeless, are you not?”
Didn’t think they were being that direct but sure.
“Yea?”
“I will pay you in food and shelter to take care of my animals.”
Danny blinks. Then actually considers the offer.
“What kind of animals? How many we talking?”
Damian grins.
The family finds out pretty quickly when a teen they’ve never seen before walks into the Batcave with two pails of food for the bats, Titus at his heels and Alfred the cat perched contently on his shoulders.
Duke stares and Bruce short circuits.
“Um, who are you?”
“Hi! I’m Danny. Damian employed me to take care of the animals.”
“O…kay?”
“And where is Damian?” Bruce sounds like it physically hurts to ask and Danny does not envy Damian’s position right now.
“Upstairs. I think he said he was going to his art studio.”
Bruce marches past the boy to the stairs before stopping abruptly and turning to Danny and Duke.
“Don’t touch anything. Watch him.”
Duke and Danny blink at each other for a moment as Bruce disappears up the stairs.
“I’m Duke by the way.”
Danny grins.

The Feast!
Inspired by this post
Danny, now an adult, works as an engineer and tech developer for Wayne Enterprises. One day, he has to bring his daughter, Ellie, into work with him. Ellie’s school had been temporarily shut down after a rouge attack, and the campus isn’t yet safe for the students to return to.
Danny had been ready to call into work to request the time off he’d need to watch his daughter until the school could be re-opened. However, his bosses seemed to be aware of the situation, and the predicament faced by many of the parents who worked for them. And a company wide email was sent out advertising Bring Your Kid To Work Day! Wayne Enterprises was offering all employees with children too young to be left home alone unsupervised the opportunity to bring their children in to work with them for the week, as that was the timeframe thus far given for when the school would be safely up and running again.
Danny is relieved that he wouldn’t need to take any unpaid time off. Nor try to find a last minute babysitter who’d A: Danny could trust to watch his little star, and B: be willing and able to watch her.
When he tells her about coming to work with him, Ellie is ecstatic! She gets to see where her dad works! And she gets to meet his work-friends! She’s so excited! She wants to make a good impression, so when Danny has gone off to begin cooking dinner, Ellie begins to make plans.
The next day, Ellie has woken up early and already gotten herself ready. She decided to wear a large poofy jacket and a pink too too over the top of her jeans. She has her backpack, filled with things to entertain her.
Once they’ve arrived and Danny has introduced Ellie to a few of his co-workers and some of their own children on the way to his desk. Along the way, Danny and Ellie pass by several offices and a we meeting rooms. It’s in one of these meeting rooms that Ellie spots her first target.
She quickly slips into the room before Danny can notice she’s run off and approaches the young man, teenager?, hunched over some papers reading intently. He’s got bags under his eyes that rivalled Danny’s back when he was still actively protecting Amity. He looks like he’s living off of nothing but caffeine and spite alone, and hasn’t had a proper nights sleep in months.
None of the other various businessmen and women in the room have noticed her presence yet, as she silently wanders up to the sleepy boy-man. She reaches into her pocket and just as she’s about to pull out her little gift, Danny has burst into the room frantically having noticed his child has slipped away. Again.
All eyes are on Danny as he apologises profusely for the intrusion, swooping in to take Ellie’s hand. He’s still apologising, now to the sleepy boy-man who is looking at Ellie in awe, like he couldn’t believe he hadn’t noticed her enter the room.
While her dad was still rambling Ellie quickly pulls an orange from her pocket and hands it to the boy-man. He takes it with a curious and perplexed look on his face.
“Ellie,” Danny sighs, “not again.”
Ellie grins and reaches into her jackets to pull out another orange. Danny swipes it before she can hand it to the businessman sitting next to the boy-man. She pulls out another one, and as Danny is grabbing it she slips from his grip and ducks under the table. Ellie runs to the centre of the room and unzips her backpack. She tips it upside down, and what looks to be 20 oranges spill out and roll across the floor.
With a feral grin, Ellie picks up an orange and throws her hands into the air in triumph, and shouts. “LET US FEAST!”

Danny and Jason met at the infinite realms
Jason, a newly turned ghost wandering around the place he ended up in after he got bombed, It’s all different shades of green, and Jason feels a little disappointed that the afterlife is just this green space mostly full of floating doors and islands.
So he floated, sometimes opening some doors out of curiosity and shutting it immediately when he saw the bullshit on the other side. He hasn’t met other ghosts yet -maybe because he hides whenever he senses someone or something getting close, retreating to his time in the streets where survival is more important than sating curiosity- and he sure as hell is not going to find his ‘mother’ again.
He’s still wearing his Robin uniform, torn and singed in some places, Jason likes to imagine sometimes that he's still Batman's new sidekick, Robin gives him magic and he can fly!
It was like that for a few days -days? Or just hours? there were no day and night in this place he doesn’t know-
Danny found him, curled up in a ball, tears threatening to fall from his eyes and his core projecting incredible grief and longing. It was the first time he encountered a ghost so close to his age, and by the looks of it, a young vigilante too, was. It is also the first time Danny encountered a newly dead ghost.
Jason willingly went with him, for some reason. The other ghosts that saw Jason told him that he is as skittish as a kitten, hiding whenever they sense each other and they’ve decided to let him be, let him acclimate to the realms. Accepting one’s death was a hard time for some ghosts.
Danny gave Jason his own room in the castle, and despite the castle’s sentience and affinity for tricking ghosts, it never gave Jason a hard time. Talk about favoritism.
Time in the realms and the real world was weird, a week will pass in the realms and for the living world only a day or two have gone by. Danny has never been more thankful. He managed to instill a sensible routine with visiting the realms to check in Jason and still be an upstanding citizen that sometimes goes ghost to corral rouge ghosts back into the realms.
One day Danny proposes the idea to bring Jason out to the living world with him, Jason was hesitant at first before agreeing. Danny can feel his fear and he let out a soothing thrill from his own core, Jason relaxed a bit.
The first thing that Jason said when they were out the portal and flying on top of his house was “This isn’t Gotham”
Danny perked up from the first ever information about Jason’s hometown “Is that where you came from? This is Amity Park”
An hour and the revelation that Gotham doesn’t exist in Danny’s Universe has Jason back in the castle in the Infinite Realms, curled up in his room. He was back out not long after, apologizing to Danny for overreacting and a “It’s not like B saw me as his son anyway”
Years passed by -in the realms- and Jason was introduced to Tucker and Sam. They became friends, Sam and Jason immediately hitting it off, often discussing their own views on social and environmental problems, and Literature that Jason would gush about.
Danny and Jason became a thing. Sam and Tucker worried that Danny might have seen Jason as a rebound from his and Sam’s chaotic relationship that ended in a good note, Danny reassured them that he just had some realizations about himself and he may have just subconsciously denied some things about himself. He did love Sam and their time together was wonderful, but both of them realized that they cannot last long term and they were better off as best friends like before.
Jason was different, Danny can imagine himself spending a millenia with him, and Jason has the same thoughts.
All of it came crashing down when one day Jason disappeared, No Trace, not even in the living world. Even with Sam, Tucker, and the other ghost’s help, they cannot find Jason. As if he were never dead or existed in their world to begin with.
Six months after Jason Peter Todd's death He crawled out of his grave, bloody and splintered fingers parting soil, a gasping mouth taking in all the oxygen he could get, blank eyes, and with no memories of his previous undead life.

Jack and Maddie have realized something horrifying. Their son is being possessed by a dangerous ghost, and has been for some time. They don’t know exactly how long, but looking back, the signs had been for a while.
His strange reactions to their ghost hunting inventions, his new habit of vanishing from his room (or even from school) randomly, his sudden decline in grades, and a million other small things. The issues had gotten worse recently, but had been present for some time. It painted a grim picture. Had he been fighting it this whole time, the ghost gradually wearing away at his will?
No, that can be worried about later. First things first, they’re going to forcibly evict the monster and make sure that no ghost will ever be able to take over his body again.
…meanwhile, Danny is panicking with his friends about his newest foe. A remarkably powerful ghost who stole his body and keeps thwarting every attempt to take it back. Even beyond the typical dangers of a powerful ghost being out and about, its actions could end up revealing him!
#in which the bad fenton parents trope of “Danny has been taken over by an evil ghost and we need to remove it!” is actually right this time!#he genuinely is being possessed by a dangerous ghost and needs to have it removed!#it isn’t just a misunderstanding about Phantom#there’s probably gonna be difficult conversations later about proving that fact though#since any signs of his ghostly side would definitely make them panic about it happening again#danny phantom#dp#danny phantom prompt#dp prompt#danny fenton#jack fenton#maddie fenton#good fenton parents#well. it could go either way. but i’d lean towards “will be accepting but it’ll strain things for a time first while they process”

Dead on MAYN Day 5: Danny is there when Jason resurrects in his coffin.
The thermos rolls back and forth between Danny’s palms. It’s only faintly warm to the touch, though Danny knows that the tea inside is still plenty hot. Tea, chocolate, protein bars, sour candies, oatmeal cookies, apple slices—Danny brought a variety of things, not sure what the other might want. At this point, it’s basically a whole picnic.
A picnic in a graveyard.
It’s just one of those things that leaves Danny befuddled about how his life is going. Other teens are at the lake for the break. Danny is sitting around in a graveyard because a god of time told him too.
Just undead boi things.
(Like girl dinner, but way worse.)
The warm hoodie, wet wipes, and plushie are less about the weird picnic vibes and more about trying to offer some comfort. Danny can’t imagine waking up in a grave, so if he can offer any comfort he wants to. Though sure, the plushie is a little awkward looking; Danny sowed it in home economics class. The project probably would have gone better if Danny had chosen something more standard, like a teddy bear, but the opossum design had been too cute. Besides, Danny thinks that the flaws sort of add to the character.
Besides, someone crawling out of their own grave won’t be too picky, right?
The headstone catches Danny’s attention again and he glances over at it. Jason Todd. A beloved son. Dead at fifteen.
Would he have a grave stone like that, if he hadn’t come back from the accident? Or would his parents have gone for cremation? Would there even have been anything of him left?
Or would his parents have just studied what was left of him?
Don’t think like that.
Danny rests his head against the top of the thermos. He can’t think like that. His parents love him. He knows that his parents love him.
He just doesn’t know if they can love Phantom.
He doesn’t want to find out.
Slowly, Danny takes a deep breath and lets it out. He counts; in two three four, hold, out two three four. The earth is cold through the blanket that he’s sitting on. The air smells like the city, so different from Amity Park. It’s the difference that helps ground Danny.
He checks the time on his cellphone again. Four minutes. At least Clockwork gave a very precise time.
10:42
What an insignificant time to come back to life.
For the last four minutes, Danny fusses. He straightens the blanket, sets the snacks up in a neat row, and spreads the hoodie out.
10:39
10:40
10:41
10:42
Well, that’s an anticlimactic stillness. Isn’t something supposed to happen? A halfa rising from the grave?
Danny leans over and presses his ear to the dew damp earth.
Does he hear something?
Maybe…
Screaming.
Not stopping to think, Danny plunges his hand through the earth then his shoulder then torso…. down, down down he reaches until he’s deep enough for his fingers to brush against the enameled wood of a casket. Then he reaches through it.
A cold, trembling hand grasps his.
Danny pulls.
It feels like dragging up a million tons to pull Jason Todd up and out of his grave. It feels like the very earth and soil of Gotham is resisting letting go of its son.
Danny only pulls harder.
“He doesn’t belong here yet! Please! He’s not dead! You have to let him live again. You have to let him go!”
The resistance vanishes so suddenly that it feels like the earth basically spits them out. For a moment Danny feels like he’s flying—not Phantom, but him. It’s a whirl of motion and and earth and then Danny is doing his best to turn and take the blunt of the landing. They land hard on the blanket, knocking the thermos over and squashing at least one snack. Danny holds on for dear life.
Well, dear half-life.
The guy—Jason, his name is Jason—is large in Danny’s arms, all broad shoulders and firm chest. Danny feels slightly smothered under the other, but in a good way. Like being under Tucker’s weighted blanket. His fingers slide easily through Jason’s hair.
“Jason?”
Jason just clings tighter. His nose is pressed against Danny’s neck like he’s trying to hide from the world there against Danny. Danny breaths in and out, trying to focus.
“It’s okay, Jason. I know how much it hurts. I know how much it hurts and how everything feels different. Nothing feels right, and it’s not. But it will shift. It will be right again. I’m here and I—um, I have snacks and tea and a hoodie. Because you’re cold! Which makes sense, you’ve been underground for, like, months and that would make anyone cold. Oh! And a plushie, which is stupid maybe, but you can hold on to it,” Danny rambles. Jason manages to get an arm around Danny and holds him close. Their legs tangle together. Danny swallows thickly. “Or you can hold onto me, I guess, that works too. But really. It will be okay. With some time, it will be okay.”
“It—I… I’m… I’m…” Jason’s lips were surprisingly soft again Danny’s neck.
“Yeah, you are. You’re alive,” Danny said. “Come on, can we get sitting up? You don’t need to let go of me, but I want to get a little bit of food and drink into you. It will help you feel better.”
With some effort and coxing, Danny gets them sitting up. Jason does not let go.
He does take the opossum though.
And he sips slowly at the tea and eats a few apple slices.
It’s something at least.
“Okay, Jason,” Danny says as he gropes blindly for where his cellphone ended up. “No clue how I’m going to explain this, but let’s see about getting you back to your family. Don’t suppose you remember anyone’s phone number? I know, who even remembers phone numbers these days. Or can you at least give me some names?”
“That—I… Dad. I want Dad,” Jason chokes out.
“Dad, okay.” Danny lets out a sigh as he lays fingers on his phone. “Let’s see if modern technology can help us find ‘dad’.”
It’s a bit of one handed fumbling to type in Jason’s name. Danny doesn’t even expect to find much, not until he can get around to hunting through funeral home obituaries at least, so he’s shocked when Jason’s name pulls up article after article. ‘Son of Billionaire Bruce Wayne Murdered’, ‘The Mysterious Murder of Jason Todd’, ‘The Prince of Gotham’s Son Dead at Fifteen’—on and on.
“Well, okay, ‘dad’ has been found,” Danny said. “Because getting a hold of Bruce Wayne is going to be easy. Like I can just call up a billion—Sam! Right, duh. She might not have his personal number or anything, but she’ll know how to get a hold of someone who can get a hold of him.”
“Sam?” Jason mumbles around a half attended to slice of apple.
“Friend. Well, ex-girlfriend actually,” Danny says as he pulls up the trio’s group chat. “So just friend again! Which is good? Fine, it’s fine. We had too much history with each other, it just wasn’t working. There was too much between us, including, you know, murder.”
For a moment, Jason stills before the faint trembling that seems to have settled into Jason’s bones resumes. “M-murder?”
“Oh! No, it’s not as bad as it sounds. It was my murder, and it kinda needed to happen. But hey, you know, you don’t have a monopoly on coming back to life you know,” Danny babbles absently as he types.
Dtom: Sam Sam Sam Sam ASAP need Bruce Wayne’s # or close a you have
While Danny waits for a response, he rubs his hands idly up and down Jason’s back. He’s surprised that Jason isn’t in a suit. He thinks that’s what people are normally buried in. Instead, Jason is dressed in sweats and a well worn Wonder Woman t-shirt. Danny has to wonder if it’s the scars that Danny can feel under the thin cotton of the shirt that has something to do with the strange outfit. Maybe open casket wasn’t an option.
“Come on, let’s get this hoodie on, okay?” Danny manages to worm his was free of Jason’s tight hold enough to grab the hoodie.
It takes some fumbling, and by the time that the hoodie is on Danny’s phone has chimed a few times. At least the hoodie fits—more than fits. Danny had brought one of Jack’s. It was big.
SpAM: wtf Danny WTF!!!!! DANNY PICK UP YOUR PHONE RIGHT NOW
Dtom: The person that came back to death? Jason Todd. Wayne’s son
SpAM: G-d. FINE
Danny helps Jason drink a little more tea while they wait.
SpAM: Here. But you better send me the full story as soon as you can!!
Danny sends a thumbs up and then clicks on the ID card Sam sent. He puts the phone on speaker and holds it between them. It rings exactly three times.
“Wayne residence. Who may I ask is calling?” A prim British voice asks.
“Um, hi. I’m Danny Fenton, not that means anything to you. I’m here… I don’t really know how to say this but to just say it. I’m here at the cemetery with Jason Todd.”
“Pardon?”
“Ah… Al…fie.” Jason struggles to speak, but pushes on. “Alfie, ish me.”
“Oh heavens…,” the Brit gasps cross the line. “My dear boy.”
