Straight and cis people will say that they are allies, but you will NEVER measure up to my dentist.

Me: "Hey, is it ok if I can change my name on my info from [DEADNAME] to Aspen?"

Random woman that I wasn't even talking to in the chair next to me: "Honey, if that's the name you had at birth, [DEADNAME] is your only name."

My dentist, very slowly turning her rolley chair towards the woman: "Shush."

Random woman: "Excuse me?"

Destist: *closes privacy curtain while staring bullets at the lady*

Me: *pissing myself laughing*

My dentist while changing my name in my info (reminder that English is not her first language, she immigrated from Russia): "There, Aspen, you have pretty boy teeth. Smile and make all girls swoon."

Me not having the heart to tell her I'm not transmasc but I'm Agender, and still pissing myself laughing: "Thank you [DENTIST NAME]."

It is very difficult to be a queer refugee and living in a refugee camp at the moment. There is no food, nor water. Services like healthcare and medical assistance have been suspended. For people living with HIV, it is a catastrophe!

We Need more voices out there to try and alter these series of unfortunate events and unimaginable dire situation 😞😔🥺

hi, as some of you may already know, i am a domestic violence victim who in late february fled my former home after being assaulted by my abuser and becoming homeless. an extremely wonderful DV organization in my area took me in, and i had been living in a shelter until two weeks ago, when i was given an opportunity by this organization to acquire a studio apartment with the first three months of rent paid by them, while i look for a job (i was fired from my previous position because my disability unexpectedly got significantly worse and i asked to have my schedule reduced slightly so i could seek medical care). this has been amazing and i cannot stress enough how grateful i am to them, and to everyone who has helped me get here.

unfortunately, i drained my entire savings account while moving in due to buying household supplies and stuff like bedding, cleaning supplies, etc. this is currently how much is in my bank account as of 4/22/25:

i have food stamps so im not concerned about groceries, but i do need to buy more cleaning supplies, and have some money set aside for upcoming bills and also paying for transportation, i currently dont have access to a car anymore and have been relying on uber and friends who offer rides, and if i get a job that isnt in walking distance from my apartment, i need money to be able to uber to work until i can buy a car again.

i want to have at least 400 set aside so in case of emergency i can still pay rent, and about 150-200 left so i can buy cleaning supplies, pay for my hrt, pay for medicine to manage my disabilities, pay for doctors appointments for my disabilities, pay my bills, pay for transportation, and also caulk and advion to seal my apartment from pests and also kill palmetto bugs.

anything left over, or any extra money im given, will go towards helping me get things like wifi (im living off of data currently) shelving and lamps and such so i can make this space more functional.

it would also go towards fixing my laptop which is currently broken, so i can work from home more easily and not have to keep using library computers. i am very disabled and walking and standing for long periods of time is extremely strenuous and painful and has even led to partial dislocations for me before, and i dont want to risk doing it more than is necessary, the more i can do from my home, the better.

Their resilience in the face of such adversity is nothing short of inspiring, yet it's a battle they shouldn't have to fight alone.

Help a disabled trans person fix their wheelchair?

My front wheel has been held together by duct tape that's wearing off. New castors (the little front wheels) are over a hundred dollars each. Ideally, I wish I could replace my custom wheelchair, since I've been using it for almost twenty years, but that's nowhere in the cards right now. Trying to do this is all I can do.

Hello our dear Donors I'm so sad to inform you that today we have had a meeting with the unhcr officials and they have clearly told us that they don't want to see any lgbtqi member within refugee camp and as we all know that South Sudan doesn't support the lgbtqi practice so I am here to seek advocacy that you may be having some means always or organizations that can really appeal to the European Union or any other support avenues that can really help us out through this hard phase of our lives as you all know that we moved from Kenya to South Sudan because the Kenyan government criminalized the lgbtq practice and as well now the South Sudan government has criminalized the lgbtqi practice and they have given us a maximum or minimum of 10 days to evacuate this place and we are really a danger and we wish for you to intervene through advocacy and sharing this with your local organizations so that you may help to save our lives for we are about 500 lgbtq refugees living in Grand refugee camp and we really have nowhere and no hope to go we can't move out of this camp one because the peace agreement that was signed in 2018 to stop the war that was going between the South Sudan government and the opposition leaders expired last month on the 25th of February and right now the only way that we are to be supported is by advocacy in case you have any other means and you would wish to support us you can do so by donating to our GoFundMe fundraiser to help us get some money to continue helping us to buy food medicine and other basic needs like the sanitary part for the lesbians but without this items we are fully at risk as we don't have any other means as Donald Trump as clearly stated that he can't allow the LGBTQIA+ refugees from South Sudan to cross onto his territory I'm very very thank you for your support and your time I really appreciate it would be grateful for your kind heart of humanity to support us through this hard time thanks

Hate to be that guy but I'm looking for help with funding my top surgery. I don't expect anything from anyone, but if you could at least share, I would appreciate it greatly.

TL;DR i'm a broke trans college student who is at a breaking point, need a little help :)

Today I paid way more money than I wanted to simply to schedule a consultation with a surgeon after years of waiting and months of research. I had an opportunity over the winter to have top surgery if I made a much smaller sum of money in time, but wasn't able to due to an unexpected emergency. My cost will not be much higher than it was in December.

I had planned on waiting for some looming "maybe" that I'll stumble into the money I need to get top surgery and pay for lodging and other necessities comfortably, but that's just not how the world works. I called my plastic surgeon of choice and scheduled my consultation because I figured knowing what my estimated cost would look more like would be beneficial, but now that i'm getting closer to the reality that is gender affirmation, I'm waking up to the reality that I don't have the means to fund this thing fully on my own. I'm willing to work hard to achieve that, as a full time student it's all I'm ever working for, but I only work 17 hours per week and spend all of my check each month (paid monthly) on living necessities.

I know times are extremely tough right now for everyone, but if you have anything to spare, I would appreciate it whether it's a dollar or it's a reblog!
